“Pansy,” Harry hisses at Pansy’s shoulder, partially exposed by the haphazard drape of her dressing gown. “What the fuck?” “I can’t come,” Pansy moans, then sniffles loudly. “I’m ill, Harry. You know how Draco gets when he’s ill. It’s not worth the risk to both of you.” “You can’t do this to me.” Pansy is doing it to Harry—the doing is already in progress, which is why he’s crouched in front of the Floo in the workroom part of their offices at Park and Sons Private Eyes.  “It’s not my choice. It’s not my fault. If I was healthy, you know I’d be there with my power skirt-suit on and my sunglasses in place and my red lipstick all ready to go. But I can’t get up. My head is throbbing.” “Take a potion!” “A potion won’t help.” Pansy coughs, a weak, pathetic little sound. It immediately raises Harry’s suspicions. What really raises his suspicions is that she wriggles her hips at the end of her cough. Harry’s not trying to look at her hips. Her dramatic sprawl puts her head halfway out of view on one end of the Floo and her hips at the other. Also, Harry happens to know that Pansy’s grate is one of those raised ones. I’m dressed for the mission and you’re fine.” “I’m not,” Pansy whines. “I have a deficiency.” “A dick deficiency?” Harry shouts. “An emergency dick deficiency that’s causing you to totally abandon me? A dickficiency?” From the earthquake-level shaking in Pansy’s shoulders, she’s doing her best to hide belly laughs. “Vit—” Pansy makes several hissing sounds in a row that sound even more like suppressed laughter. “Vitamin D,” she chokes out.

I laughed so much writing this that I almost became injured. From laughing. I had the time of my LIFE.

Hi lovely people. We loved the fics posted for Round One and are coming back for Round Two! We've also included our prompt submissions list from Round One at the bottom of this post.

Our new and updated Rules and Guidelines:

There is no minimum or maximum word count requirement.

Fics must be completed when posted to AO3. No WIPs.

This fest is not anonymous. Feel free to post snippets or teasers. (Make sure to tag @1dsoulmatefest )

As this is a One Direction fest, one of the members must be included in the main pairing.

Pairings do not need to be romantic. They can be platonic or simply sexual.

There will be no restriction on the writing of explicit, sensitive, or potentially triggering content, though this must be tagged appropriately.

All AUs are allowed such as omegaverse, Mpreg, girl direction, etc. as long as soulmates are the main focus. Any variation of soulmate AUs are allowed.

RWRB Festive Fan Fest | Dec. 16th: Favourites of 2024

Time to yell from the rooftops about my faves from this year. We've had a bumper year with events like @anywhere-with-you-event and @aroyallybigbangrwrb! Honestly rude I'm expected to work when there's so many good fics to read. (Although I was discussing favourite fic tropes at our youth group last week, had to keep it pg-13 of course 😅)

Fic | please could you be tender? by @judasofsuburbia - the Trans Henry ballet AU of my dreams! My gift from the Anywhere With You event that could not have been more perfect, Emily you have no idea the amount of kicking my feet and giggling I did when reading this.

Fic | then fucking have me by @lucifers-favorite-child - it completed this year so it counts... This royalty AU lives in my brain rent free. It's so well written and there's even documents and letters stylised between chapters which makes me feel like I'm in a museum aka my happy place.

Fic | the distance is nothing when one has a motive by @babygirlgalitzine - the cutest fic with Cinderella Story vibes, what more could you want?! I was lucky to get to see this early and make playlists for it, genuinely so much fun. The Super Six shenanigans are excellent in this too!

Fic | What To Do With This Feeling by @run-for-chamo-miles - the period sex fic that everyone needs to read! More Trans Henry (hooray!) and I love that it's not a sure thing straight away, the image of Henry walking about in avocado pjs is just adorable too.

Fic | turn the desert to glass (you would be the one) by @taste-thewaste - potentially the one I've reread the most, Amber is the queen of writing Chubby Henry & this fic is just absolutely delightful.

Fic | Longer Than Most by @happiness-of-the-pursuit - this fic was what I needed for a number of reasons. I am not an mpreg reader really, I've read too many where they make it sound like this crazy out there thing when hello, trans people exist. This fic is written with care, there's joy, silliness, steaminess, hurt/comfort, family in all its forms. It came out at a time when I was finally getting really comfy with my bigender identity, it was the comfort blanket of words I needed.
