Here's another DAtober prompt! This fill is Bound featuring Justice/Anders and my own take on a certain canon fantasy that Anders talks about. Enjoy!

Anders doesn’t remember falling asleep but there’s no mistaking the green, fuzzy edges of his consciousness. He’s clearly dreaming, walking through the Gallows. The place is completely empty, not a single soul lingering. As much as he revels in the fact that there’s not a Templar in sight, there’s also an uneasiness. Where are the mages? Where is everyone?

He continues to walk, looking up at the towering statues that line the courtyard. A shiver runs through him at the depictions of slaves. 

They will not have you. 

Anders thinks about Justice’s words and lets them sink beneath his skin, comforting him even in a cold place like this. 

Thinking of Justice, Anders can’t help but wonder where his fade spirit is. Since he’s walking through a dream, it would be easy for the two to converse like they used to before they were merged. He misses speaking face to face with Justice but he wouldn’t trade what’s happened for anything. They are one. Justice won’t decay and Anders will never be alone again. 

“There he is! Stop that mage!”

Anders startles, looking around and finding a handful of Templars bearing down on him. He turns to run but there’s already someone there, standing in his way. His heart begins to race, his eyes darting everywhere. 

No. 

They can’t have him. They’ll never have him!

Anders reaches for his staff but a strong grip wraps around his wrist, stopping him. He’s trapped and no matter how much he shouts or kicks or fights, it’s all too much. 

“You’ll have the brand!”

“No!”

A voice rings out through the Gallows. The Templars all pause, turning towards the voice. Anders stares, his heart leaping into his throat. An armored warrior makes his way down the stairs, a sword in his hand. He points the sword at Anders. 

“He is mine. You will not have him, Templar scum!”

The figure is alight with blue energy, a shining beacon of hope in an otherwise downcasted place. Anders can’t pull his eyes away as his savior fights his way through the Templars, cutting them down one by one without waning, without slowing down. 

He’s not sure if it’s an hour or a second, but eventually, everyone is dead but Anders and his savior. 

“Thank you for saving me,” he says, his voice shaky in his own ears. “May I look upon the face of my savior so I may properly thank them?”

The helmet is removed, revealing Anders’ own face, bathed in blue. “I hope this is acceptable. It is how I see myself.”

Anders is filled with warmth and affection. Justice is playing out the fantasy Anders once spoke to Hawke about. 

“You’re beautiful,” Anders says, barely above a whisper, placing a hand on Justice’s face and guiding him into a soft kiss. His knight. His savior. His partner. 

“As are you. We have bound ourselves, body and soul, together. You will never know fear again if I can help it.”

Anders believes him.

Justice eating breakfast and taking a bath and everything when Anders just cannot

Justice letting Anders rest while he’s awake and dealing with stuff for him

Justice helping Anders with what to say and do and lending him energy even when there are other people around and he can’t fully be out without drawing suspicion

So thus far my opinion about my romances in the Dragon Age series

DAO: Aeducan X Warden Alistair - Love at first sight, soulmates and all that. young and epic. always mentioning and boosting each other, domestic bliss.

DA2: Hawke X Varric - "varric isn't a romanc-" WELL BIOWARE IS WRONG their love could burn the city to the ground. the hanged man patrons have a bet about the status of their relationship bc "well hawke is a big flirt they could be very close friends- oh they're kissing nvm"

DAI: Trevelyan X Cullen - Office romance vibes, longing glances, awkward meets awkward

it brings me endless amusement when artists/fic writers acknowledge Justice in any Handers piece they might do. Is he apart of the relationship? Is he desperately trying to pretend it isn't happening? Is he even friendly with Hawke? Is he in the cuck chair?

"Do you mind if I sleep with you?"

When Anders came to his tent in the middle of the night, Gale didn't know what to expect, but it was most certainly not that.

Gale blinked owlishly at him, his brow furrowed.

"Of course I don't mind," he said, "but may I ask why?"

As he shuffled in his bedroll to make room, Anders hesitated before sliding in next to him. A glow of blue light flashed across his skin, there and gone within the blink of an eye.

Anders sighed.

"You know, since coming here, I have had way more nights without nightmares than with them. As a matter of fact, sometimes I start to think that it feels a little too quiet up there." Tapping his temple, Anders gave a humorless chuckle. And as he studied Gale's features, his face fell. "Tonight, though, I had a nightmare. One unlike those that I'm used to. Frankly, it scared the shit out of me."

Gale raised an eyebrow at that.

"Must have been quite the dream to rattle you."

He hesitated before reaching out, brushing stray hairs back behind his ear.

When Anders shifted closer, leaning into his touch, he reached out to press his hand over the orb.

This time, when blue light spread across his skin, it lingered. His eyes glowed. His voice reverberated, the echoes of a deeper tone lying underneath.

"We dreamt that you went through with it," they told him. "That we lost you, but we don't want to lose you." They swallowed thickly before they could muster up the strength to meet his eyes again, their sorrow thick in the air. "We had to know that you were still alive, that you were still here."

It hit Gale like a magic missile to the face.

Because deep down, never had he expected his presence to have such a monumental impact on another, yet here they were. The mere prospect alone of his death hurt both Justice and Anders to the point where they sought out his company as a reminder that he was still alive.

It—It felt strange. Not to feel needed, but to feel wanted.

Without thinking, Gale drew them into his arms, and they all too eagerly complied. They wrapped around one another, clung to each other, until they drifted off once more.

Gale held them close, combing his fingers through their hair, and whispered, "I'm here."

And for now, that was enough.

Starfire x Nightwing

I am super late to the party and just watched Teen Titans Judas Contract and Justice League vs Teen Titans. And yes, I watched them in that order because I mainly wanted to see all the DickXKory loving, and I was not disappointed. I loved it so much, I watched JL vs TT.

Their tag is mostly taken over by the Teen Titans live action show, which I couldn't really get into, so I can't find a lot specific to these movies, but I just wanted to put in one place my favorite moments and hope there are others out there that loved them just as much.

In The Judas Contract

Justice League vs Teen Titans

When they see each other for the first time, and Dick tells her she looks good,

Loved when Kory and Dick were skyping and you can see what Dick sees when she's leaning her boobs into the camera or when she's laying down.

Definitely wish Dick would have been in Justice League vs Teen Titans more. But I'll take what I can get!

i know we are not going to get hawke back from the fade but like handers would go crazy.

anders nearly avoiding blood magic to get him back and endling his life because he gave up a long time ago, then hearing the news that hawke is back. (it would probably be varric telling him)

he gets back they kiss and hug and stuff ect, the justice part of anders is showing hawke all the things he loved when he first came out of the fade, like the sunset and sunrise. the anders part is insistant on healing hawke. they both look like dog shit cause hawkes been in the fade for a decade and anders hasnt been taking care of himself cause he's anders and gave up.

Day 11: Snacks

Justice does not approve of how Anders is neglecting the nutritional requirements of their shared body. The Commander and Alistair always told the Wardens that they needed three square meals and snacks every day. He needs this to be fixed.
