My comments on the Miami GP 2024

1- Firstly, I will say I despise Miami. As if the circuit wasn’t bad enough, I hate the climate formed with the celebrities.

This race was not an exception. Camilla and Jake Paul at Ferrari, James Charles at Red Bull, not to mention the orange guy at mclaren (i will mention it later).

2- I love KMag criminal but today was not it. Logan’s true home race was fucked and right when he was getting confident w the car.

3- Alonso said Lance had more chances of making points since he was starting higher and in points positions. Somehow (nobody is really surprised), Alonso did made points and not Lance, anyways...

5- Now, Tr*mp. This guy gets clapped at around McLaren, but when Seb and Lew protest for women and lgbt rights Z*k Br*wn was the first asking to not make F1 into a politics sport. The hypocrisy???

6- Also, Lando’s comments on him😭 boy what the hell happened to you????? I was so happy for him and his win I almost got a heart attack, then I find him saying “T is someone you have respect for in many ways”, among other things. I will wait a bit before giving my opinion about this, because to be fair I don’t even know what I think.

7- I was hopping for an Oscar win, but now I’m glad he didn’t (therefore the orange man was far away from him). He still did an amazing race.

8- Carlos/Oscar beef is always sending me. This man gets so mad at Oscar 😭😭.

9- Also, the Pierre/Esteban beef

10- It was nice to have Nano and Esteban back and the post-race pic.

11- EVERYONE CONGRATULATING LANDO?! It was really sweet, I loved the Fernando dad-congratulation and all the post they made dedicated to him.

12- Loved seeing Mick in the sprints !!

13- Max sitting in the wrong seat in the post-race interview and Charles laughing at him

Thank you for putting this into words! For me, this was exactly what I wanted for Oscar (and other characters too but this post is about Oscar).

A character progression where he comes to terms with wanting a partner to settle down with without having to COMPLETELY hide for the rest of his life. He would find a woman he genuinely cared for as a person, marry her companionship, and then slowly fall in love with her creating his own happy ending subconsciously.

Once again for those in the back: NOT AGAINST gayness on screen or as an endgame for a character at all. And maybe I'm a little biased because I'm Bi but I think it's less about Oscar being Bi and more about finding love and happiness even if it didn't fit your initial plan about how you thought your life would go.

I have very mixed feelings about what happened to Oscar. I feel like on many levels it is so cruel and unfair; almost matches the way of how the writers of this show treated Ada. Like, I understand the whole conspect of Oscar trying to live a "normal" life and trying to fit in by all costs and then ending up completely ruined by it but on the other hand I don't think he deserved this and I don't think that he's done anything wrong. Like, just because he made a decision (his own decision) to fit in more and fulfill his "duty", then I don't see why it wouldn't be moral to just find a good wife that he'd be quite happy with. I also liked to think that maybe he'd find out he is bisexual and really fall in love with his wife. Not because I'm anti gayness but because I feel it would be an interesting twist that I haven't seen much in period dramas and because bisexuals don't get as much representation (at least that is how I feel). I don't know, I really was naive to think he'd get some sort of complicated but steady ending (at first I hoped for Gladys). I feel like it's unfair that he got punished just because he decided to stay in the closet and wanted to start a family. Especially that I could see he was really fond of both Maud and Gladys; it was not like he was forcing every fibre of his being to be around them or that he was mean or awkward around them. In fact, he was actually a very charming suitor.

((I do realize in real life things are rarely fair but since this is a tv show and the whole thing happening to him feels like a metaphore of him going against his nature, I am debating on this metaphore itself.))
