âOh come on,â your friend states with a little excitement and annoyance. âWe have to go out at some point. Besides this is the biggest party of the year!â College had just started for the two of you. It hadnât even been a full week and already the whole school was going insane about some party. âI donât know girl. I mean we donât even know a lot of people.â âAnd thatâs the point. Weâre here to meet new people & have a good time. Besides you never really had the chance to go out and now you have all this freedom.â You hated to admit it but in a way she was right. Your parents had been super strict on you all through high school. They never let you party and your curfew was 10pm. You sigh looking at her as sheâs finishing her makeup. âItâll be so much fun!â She looks at you through the mirror giving you a reassuring smile. âWhose party is it anyway?â âItâs those two really hot guys. JJ Maybank and John B.â You heard of them. Seen them around. From the looks of it they seemed like nothing but trouble. Always looking for a fresh new girl to invite to their parties and later bring them to their dorm. You sat there and thought about it some more. Unsure if you should even associate yourself with guys like them. But the more you thought about it the more you realized it was time to have some fun. How bad could it be, right?
The night was wild. The loud music blared through your ears as you reached the huge house. People laying on the grass from having too much to drink, cups sprawled everywhere, guys cat calling the two of you. It took everything in you not to want to call an Uber and go home. âPlease donât leave my side,â you say to your friend as the two of you make your way to the back where everyone was. It was definitely the biggest party of the year. It seemed as if the whole college was there and maybe even more people. âIâm gonna go get us some drinks Iâll be right back!â You grip onto your friendâs hand. Giving her a daring look to not leave you. You knew as soon as she saw a boy cute enough sheâd forget all about you. And thatâs exactly what happened. Standing alone and scoping the scene you start to hear a bunch of commotion. âLook itâs the life of the party!â âYo! JJ. John B letâs take a picture!â After a few seconds you turn around, feeling a huge presence over you. Itâs them. The two boys all the girls rave about and god do you see why. The blonde has a bottle of alcohol in his hands with shades so dark you couldnât see his eyes. And the brunetteâŚhis thick curly hair and brown eyes caught your attention. He seemed sweet, smiling while looking at you. âWell what do we have here?â The blonde says walking closer to you. You quickly look down at your feet feeling out of place. âJJ. Be nice,â the brunette says as he steps foward. âRelax. I just want know who she is. Whatâs your name sweetheart?â They were both so good looking it was hard for you to maintain eye contact. The way their skin looked so tan against the neon lights and the backwards cap the brunette had on made you dizzy. âI-Iâm⌠my name is y/n.â Your nervousness made both of them chuckle. âItâs alright we donât bite.â The brunette says trying to make you feel somewhat safe. âIâm John B and this is my friend JJ.â You look over at JJ whoâs clearing staring at you through those shades. John B looks around as if heâs looking for someone else. âYou came here alone?â âUh, no my friend. SheâsâŚwell sheâs somewhere.â You try looking around for her but she was nowhere in sight. âItâs okay sweetheart we donât bite. Iâm the nice one. My friend hereâŚâ he says putting his hand on JJâs shoulder. âWell heâs the one you have to watch out for.â Your whole body went cold as JJ took off his glasses. Those blue eyes piercing right through you. âIâm nice to yâknow⌠I wonât biteâŚunless you want me too,â he says smirking making your whole body blush. âWhy donât you come sit down with us?â John B suggests. Now, you know you shouldnât have but you couldnât stop your body from following theirs and you didnât want to look awkward standing alone. As you sit between them looking down at your legs, fidgeting with your fingers, you can feel their eyes watching your every move. Like they were hungry and hadnât had anything for days. JJ scoots closer to you making you move unto John Bâs lap a little and place your hand on his thigh for leverage. JJ hands you the bottle heâd been drinking from. A little hesitant as you hadnât ever touched that stuff, you looked over at the blonde who looks like he could rip you up in seconds. âGo ahead, have a little sip,â JJ says. That devilish smirk peering on his face. You take a sip, face turning into disgust as the burn from the drink moves down into your chest. âThatâsss a good little girl,â JJ mumbles loud enough for you to hear. Then you turn your head to the brunette. His sweet brown eyes looking at you making you feel small. Your needy eyes staring at him, hoping heâd make JJ stop influencing you. âJust relax sweetheart,â John B says. The back of his hand slowly glides along the side of your neck moving your hair behind your ear. His lips press against your ear lobe as he places a slow, sweet kiss against it earning a whimper from your lips. They both chuckle against your skin. âOhhh, weâre going to take such good care of you,â John b says while his tongue slowly licks your ear as JJ presses sweet, alcoholic kisses against your cheek. âYou haveâŚno idea.â

Ranking every episode for Jeia
1. Dirty Double Booker - They break my heart in this episode, but also have so many cute moments. Jay trading shifts at work, their kiss, how in the beginning of the ep theyâre just holding hands, the bicep scene, Jayâs arm around Leia, Leia trying to make things work with both Jay AND Gwen. There shouldâve been Jay/Leia/Gwen triangle srsly. Jay being so understanding about Leia making plans with Gwen. Like I said, the ending breaks my heart so badly.
2. Kids In America - Now THIS one gives me so many emotions. I loved their cute moments in the beginning of this. At first, even as a Jay/Jeia stan, they rubbed me the wrong way because I had this feeling Jay was stringing Leia along but now looking at it, it seems like heâs just cherishing those last few moments. Also Kitty making Jay realize he shouldnât be scared, him wanting to make things work, the âI will spend every day making it up to youâ scene. Like HOW are they not the endgame? Come on people! Also Leiaâs face post kiss.
3. Boyfriend Day 1 - I LOVE how Jay stood up for Leia and was hellbent on not letting her take the blame. And that speech to Red đĽš. Giving E/D fr. Also them saying the same things at the same, the phone thing, and their hug: ADORABLE! And donât even get me STARTED on the âbye babe! Aww!â scene! Literally the cutest ever.
4. Summer Storm - Itâs not really my fave, mostly because Iâve watched that episode several times haha. But they were cute here. It was nice seeing Leia wanting to take another step and going to Nikki for relationship advice. Also them dancing at the end đĽ°. I wish there were more episodes in s1 so we could see them flourish.
5. The Birthday Girl - THE Jeia episode. Leiaâs fantasy for them as Kelly and them going together, Jay coming back to wish her a happy birthday, their first kiss, them FINALLY getting together, and them leaving in the car was nice (before they were pulled over ovo). The one thing I didnât like tho is how Leia was so willing to change herself just to get with Jay. Iâve explained my feelings on this here.
6. Lip Smackers - Iâve discussed my issues with Leiaâs plot but I loved the Jeia here. It really solidified that Jayâs feelings for Leia ARE genuine. Before I just thought it was some comedic joke where itâs âhaha Jay flirting with the New Girlâ (like what friends did with Rachel/Joey early on), but this episode solidified that it was genuine. And it seemed like this was where Leia started to feel the same way about Jay. Also the car scene is A+, like E/D much?
7. Free Leia - While I think itâs more a Geia episode than a Jeia one, I loved their little moments here.
8. That 90s Pilot - Same as Free Leia. I also loved seeing them walking out together and Red being like âWTFâ. I can only IMAGINE what wouldâve happened if E/D was there. J/L just gave such couple vibes in that scene.
9. The Rave - Also not my fave tbh. Like it was fun seeing them be all chaotic but I hate the end where Leia is âplaying the playerâ and âKelso-ing the Kelsoâ. And how itâs literally applauded in the end?? Gwen herself said that she was just winging the âyouâre a goddess, own your powerâ and that Leia should go after what she wants. Yet Leia still does this?? I do cut her slack because she 14 and Jay is probably the first guy she likes.
10. Step By Step - I love the angst for them in this episode, but once again the whole âplaying the playerâ bullshit. And the way Leia and Gwen literally LAUGH and are PROUD of Leia basically giving Jay a mental breakdown is disgusting. Which is why I hated making gifs for Geia in that episode.
#that 90s show#that '90s show#t9s meta#jl meta#my meta#otp: i'm not ready to give up on us#jeia#jay x leia#leia x jay#jeiashippersclub#het ship#thinking about them again#need to write more for them

A surprise at the rave
Dance parties were never really my scene, just too many people and too much noise, but Hugh had been insistent, he'd somehow got and invite and didn't want to go alone. Of course we'd barely got here before he was out on the floor, making a fool of himself trying to dance with the girls that were clearly showing no interest. I gave it even odds I was going to have to get him away from a jealous boyfriend before the night was over. Well, looking at some of the girls he was hitting on it might be an irritated girlfriend. The man could not read body language. At least he was quick with a line and knew when not to push too far, so he was usually just a laugh and a story not a pest.
I might not be able to dance, but I did enjoy the music, so I leaned on my table, supped my drink and just enjoyed watching the crowd sway and move to the music. I might not be able to dance, but sometimes I could just let the music take me and get lost in it. Just let my eyes unfocus a bit and enjoy the music and the movement. The sight of a brunette flitting through the crowd across the room reminded me of another party, another dance.
So very long ago now, I'd thought I was all grown up, but just a kid really, and she'd asked me to take her to the rave. I guess going with someone was a good way to avoid unwanted attention, because Siobhan would always draw an eye whenever she went. It had been one of those few nights where I just let myself go, get lost in the music, I'd danced with her, she didn't want to dance alone so I'd just moved and let the music take me. I had such a crush on her in those days, but I was hardly the kind of guy she'd go for, dancing with her had been wonderful. Right up until Mason cut in. It was pretty clear that she wanted me to leave them to it after that, the way she danced with him, she seemed almost angry I was still there.
So maybe dance parties were my thing with the right partner. It was a very long time ago, but I still hadn't med anyone like her. That brunette really did look a lot like her, wait, that was Sibohan, I'm sure it was. Still, not like she'd remember me after all these years.

Gossip Girl, Ep. 2x05 â Games, Trains, and Automobiles (Spoilers)
Wow, there was a lot in this episode. Â It seems like theyâre getting ready for the second half of the season, but it felt like one of the storylines was a bit rushed. Â Itâs not that the pieces werenât there, but they seemed to connect them too quickly. Â
I will say that not all of the storylines converge in this episode; although three of them do. Â And once again itâs that third act where suddenly these characters are in the same place as shit goes down. Â Still, too contrived. Â But it was nice that not all of the storylines converged in this one episode. Â
I think Iâll start with Zoyaâs storyline first. Â After last weekâs episode, it turns out that Julien has been staying at Audryâs and Zoya has been bouncing between Audryâs and Shanâs home. Â Shan is trying to get Zoya to go out of town with her to go to a Rave. Â Zoya, at first, refuses. Â However, after a run in with her dad; Zoya agrees to go. Â Well, itâs a bit more than a run in. Â At the beginning of the episode, Julien validated Zoyaâs feeling about not wanting to see her dad. Â But then, Nick calls Julien. Â Nick tells Julien that he understands why the two arenât living at the apartment right now and heâs glad that Julien is watching out for Zoya, but he needs to make sure Zoya is ok. Â Julien tries to get Zoya to talk to her dad (by basically having Nick ambush her after school) and it just makes Zoya angry at both of them. Â So, she goes with Shan to the Rave.
However, Shan meets a friend at the Rave. Â And this friend happens to have her brother with her. Â Later in the evening, Zoya finds out from the brother that Shan and the friend have gone to another party; leaving Zoya at the Rave. Â Yeah, my opinion of Shan just dropped quite a bit. Â Sorry, but you donât leave friends alone at parties; period. Â In fact, that kind of behavior would probably make one of my friends an ex-friend. Â
Zoya and the brother leave the party and start talking. Â Zoya thinks they have a connection and they go back to his home. Â And while nothing is shown (thank God), everything about the scene implies that they had sex. Â Furthermore, it is clear that all the things the guy was saying the night before was to get Zoya to have sex with him...and now he has no interest in her. Â Zoya decides to go back home. Â Zoya is still angry at Nick, but itâs also clear that (after this experience) she needs her dad (even if she doesnât know how to tell him). Â Later, we see her Googling about plan B. This is where her story ends tonight.
As for Kate, well, she both wants to date Mike and find out who heâs working for. Â She and Jordan try to break into Mikeâs computer to look at the messages. Â Of course, they do it while Mike is still in the room and he catches them (well, he catches Kate and does his best to ignore a grown ass man obviously hiding under a table). Â Mike begins to suspect that Kate is Gossip Girl, but then the Jordan sends out a message on Gossip Girlâs account. Â Believing this is proof that Kate is not GG, Mike tells Kate his story. Â Long story short, heâs being blackmailed by...well, they havenât said but itâs going to be Georgina. Â Sheâs got control of his bank accounts and wonât release them unless he finds GG. Â And, honestly, this whole storyline reminded me too much of the first season; so Iâm going to cut to the chase. Â At the end of the episode, Mike realizes that Kate must be part of GG. Â In order to protect Kate, and to have the writers have a way to reveal his true feelings to Kate, Jordan says that heâs GG and he made the account to impress Kate. Â Mike texts Georgina (Iâm guessing) about Jordan and tells him heâs going to regret everything when this person finds him. Â Mike, on the other hand, has lived up to his part of the bargain and believes he wonât be blackmailed anymore.
As for the other three stories, theyâre all kind of hooked together. Â First, we find out that Julien has been seeing Graham for the past week and, of course, things get intimate. Â However, Julien is clearly uncomfortable with the idea of hooking up with a married man (AS YOU SHOULD BE) and asks for space.
Meanwhile, it turns out that several of the male students at the school are planning a ski trip. Â Max, Aki, and Obie are all planning to go. Â At first, Audry doesnât seem too bothered about Max and Aki having a weekend alone. Â That is until one of the students tells her that Bisexuality doesnât exist and that she will be dumped soon enough. Â And I want to take a moment to talk about this scene. Â Iâve seen at least one article calling this show Biphobic because of what the character said. Â And, uh, I think theyâre missing the point. Â I think this scene is calling out the unfortunate reality that there are people in the LGBTQIA community that truly do think this way (and are clearly in denial of what the B stands for). Â Now, if the show were to have the character say what he said and then to turn out to be right...that would be biphobia. But the whole point was that we werenât supposed to agree with this character, we were supposed to be upset with his comments and how it made Audry feel. Â
Because the fact is that, as Max and Aki have begun exploring new parts of their relationship, it seems like they may have inadvertently been leaving Audry out (or she feels this way). Â Now, I will say the storyline between the throuple is starting to feel a bit too...after school special. Â Still, I do like that we are seeing these three are committed to each other. Â But going back to the story, Audry is worried that maybe Aki and Max might not be as into her as she thought. Â It doesnât help that she hears her mother and Maxâs dad talk about how they were blindsided when their relationships ended (although in Maxâs dadâs case, they did get back together). Â Audry tries to contact Max and Aki, but doesnât get a response. Â She then finds out that they didnât go on the school trip; but went with Obie to Obieâs family home in the Hamptons.
What she doesnât know is that Aki and Max went with Obie to support Obie who had gone to talk to his mother. Â See, Obie finds out that his mother and sister have been back stateside for a while and that his mother doesnât want to speak to Obie because of the whole Georgia debacle. Â And this is the storyline that I felt was rushed, because they are clearly using this as an excuse to get him to speak with his mother. Â So, heâs going up there to clear the air. Â And, at first, it seems like his mother didnât speak to him because....eh, it doesnât matter because itâs a lie. Â See, after she and Obie talk, she asks Obie if he could ask Aki to speak with her; something about a movie list he gave her. However, after Aki speaks with Obieâs mother; he immediately tells Obie something is up as she asked Aki to tell her the real reason why Obie was there. Â
Obie listens in on his motherâs phone conversation and itâs clear that she believes heâs there because she is hiding something. Â Obie does some snooping and discovers that a Condo development that his sister (?) was involved in was clearly done on the cheap and is now sinking. Â Again, this storyline is moving very quickly and Iâm not sure I understood everything. Â Obie finds out that his mother is working with another woman dealing with this Condo and arranges for the woman to call his mother that night so he can listen in.
While this is going on, Audry continues to spiral and Julien meets with Graham to tell him she canât see him anymore. Â However, before they officially go their separate ways, Audry sees the two of them in his car and asks him to drive to Obieâs house (which is three hours away). Â
At this point, Max and Aki have seen Audryâs messages and, instead of checking on her, decide that sheâs clearly not ready for them to be by themselves and decide not to have sex that weekend. Â Which they seem to do a good job of avoiding. Â Of course, when Audry gets there, there is a misunderstanding, and then the three talk and agree to communicate. Â Which, again, proves that the guy speaking to Audry earlier didnât know what the hell he was talking about.
But while Audry is checking up on her boyfriends, Julien is trying to end things with Graham. Â However, she sees Obie breaking into his own house and, long story short, Obie gets caught and admits to setting up the conversation. Â He tells his mother he knows about the Condo and basically admits he wishes he wasnât a part of the family. Â Well, he gets his wish, as she seems to feel the same. Â At the end of the episode, he finds out heâs been cut off from the family (including the apartment he lives in). Â He tries to call Julien, but sheâs....busy (Iâll get to this in a moment). Â
I canât believe Iâm saying this, but it was a mistake to leave Obie out of the first episode; for the simple reason that (as it seems like they needed him cut off from everything in the second half of the season) that had to rush his storyline to get there. Â
Getting back to Julian, as Obie was talking to his mother, she was talking to Graham. Â It turns out that he hasnât been entirely honest with her, as he is separated from his wife. Â He just didnât want to tell her because he was afraid Julian would blame herself. Â I donât buy it. Â Just before Julian went to help Obie, Julien mentioned how she doesnât talk to her father. Â Given Grahamâs reaction, and the fact that heâs a musician, I have a feeling that Graham isnât what he seems. Â In fact, I wonder if heâs using Julian to get to her father. Â In which case, it wouldnât surprise me if heâs lying about his wife. Â Anyway, we see at the end of the episode that the two have gotten together. Â

Each winter night in the tool shed: Part 2
Mysta  For Mira, this meeting had been the culmination of a carefully laid plan, something she had anticipated for some time. Mysta, on the other hand, was taken completely off guard by her arrival. He hadn't noticed the girl that had been observing him from afar.
There was a point in time where Mysta would have prided himself on his keen eye for detail, but all he could do to get by was keep his head down and turn the other cheek. Maybe it was the loss of his senses that had caused him to become so numb.
However, the appearance of these two girls managed to spark something that lay dormant in him, a fire in his belly that he mercilessly snuffed out as a necessity. No matter how angry he felt, he could never raise a hand against his captors.
There were times that he forgot his place, stepped out of line, but he was always beaten back, put down, made an example of. His contempt for his tormentors was obvious. He knew it. They knew it.
For those on the outside looking in, they might be mistaken for thinking he was just another one of many mysterious yokai the Emperor had in his employ. But that damned head priest and the Emperor knew full well what they were doing. He endured humiliation after humiliation.
However, what he was feeling right now was not the impotent rage of the victim, this righteous fury was reserved for the fate of the girl in front of him.
"It makes me feel sick."
Maybe there was some justification for it-- he wasn't a God, and didn't understand the mechanics of shaping an entire world, much to his chagrin. However, even if there was some need to house this body without a soul--
Why the hell did you bring me into this world here and now? Just to make me see the woman I love reduced to... this?
Mysta couldn't start sounding off about that in front of these two girls, even if he shouted the truth from the rooftops, he would seem like nothing more than a raving madman. The Emperor of this world was a generous and fair ruler. That was the sentiment the people shared in this world that was built to serve his ends.
"...I'm... sorry. I should have never let this happen..."
His voice was filled with genuine regret. This shameful defeat. It was something he could never accept no matter what happened. Even now, as he was forced to bow his head and lick his wounds, Mysta's heart was filled with smoldering resentment and rebellion.
Mira  Mysta had broken Altera's fall by catching her, leaving the girl in his hands. Were the emperor or his high priestess to catch wind of this scene, they'd undoubtedly be enraged. But this was not Mysta's plot, whatever might be misunderstood in the event that their veil of secrecy was broken, it was hers.
"...Sorry?" Mira tilted her head quizzically at Mysta, watching him, waiting for something. She looked a little disappointed. "Is that all?" Did he not love her after all? It wasn't like that was difficult to accept; under pressure, most good relationships might just fissure and burst anyway. Still, Mira sighed at the tin man in a disapproving manner. "So, when you see Altera, all you feel is resentment?"
Altera, for her part, was too apparently confused to make heads or tails of the situation- and Mira was taking lead anyway, stifling the useless questions she wanted to ask like "what's going on?"
Mysta  His metallic body tensed up, readying his stance as he carefully caught Altera's body. It was clear from this alone the concern he had for her. As a disembodied suit of armor who lacked a sense of touch, it was extremely important for him to be wary of his own strength. But the way he held Altera in his arms was filled with intimacy. From this perspective, her body seemed so very fragile and small.
"That's not even the start of it!" All sorts of complicated emotions were swimming through this tin can he called a head. "The guilt is eating away at me. No matter what they do to torment me, its nothing compared to what I do to myself." It was at that moment that Mysta realized that Mira wouldn't have the faintest idea what he was talking about.
"If... I told you the truth, told you everything that happened between us, there's no way you'd even believe me..." He gazed down at Altera, who he was still holding in his arms. She seemed more confused than anyone. He hated that look on her. Altera was a strong and capable girl, not some helpless bystander who could be dragged around and made accessory to someone else's scheme.
Of course, he would first need to get a feel for what Mira knew. Get his story straight. He had no intention of telling a tale that was too unflattering to himself. His guilt? That was real, but his essential nature hadn't changed. There were countless things he would do differently, but the abuse of his captors had done little to make him actually reflect on his actions.
Mira  She would let those words which could be interpreted as looking for sympathy slide; she had little interest in berating him as Kana and (though she hadn't seen it herself) Takumi would, and she only wanted to satisfy her curiosity.
"Won't I? I'm here right now, in front of you, aren't I?"
Mysta  He seemed to relax a little, impressed by how mature Mira's response was. They weren't the same, these two "sisters", but the two of them had a lot in common, naturally. It was his realization of this that allowed him to breathe easy. That was a metaphor, obviously. He had no lungs, and his voice was projected without him ever needing to take a breath.
"Me and Altera, we were lovers in a past life. In the world that came before. Her goal... was to become the Goddess of a new world. So she could save the world, so she could save you." He wondered, just how much this girl understood about her own nature.
"As you can see, I failed her. We were defeated. Our dreams of ascending to a higher plane of existence and ruling over the world together died before we could make them a reality. Your father made sure of that. And as punishment for supporting her, for trying to take his daughter away, I was reduced to this."
Mira  Her eyebrows didn't raise in surprise even as Mysta spoke of what should have been an arcane truth privy to only a select few.
She had come to understand the natural conclusion that few people in this world remembered the last. She was granted that special privilege. Whatever the reasons for things being this way, she would be grateful all the same, she would stand tall and live well with the knowledge of what was lost to pay for it. She had long ago made the determination not to let these losses weigh her down. Her life would not be so impeded by guilt or shame.
"I see. So that's why Altera... ended up like this..."Â Another "punishment?"Â She let that implication hang. Mira had no way of knowing, but she found it unlikely that Kana and Takumi had shared their future plans for Altera with Mysta.
Mysta  "That's right." There was a pregnant pause, his gaze lingered on the woman in his arms, she had remained quiet up until now. It was difficult to put a finger on, the exact specifics of her condition were lost on Mysta as Kana and Takumi weren't exactly keen to keep him in the loop when it came to how she was doing.
However, if he had to put a word to it, it felt like all the "color" had been drained from her. She lacked that fiercely intelligent and headstrong attitude that he admired in the woman he had chosen, the woman he believed with all his heart had what it takes to grant him divinity. To think, the two of them had almost managed to claim the throne of god for themselves. How far they had fallen...
He brushed a lock of hair out of Altera's face. Her eyes seemed just a bit glassy, like a dolls. If what he lacked was "body", Altera was lacking in "spirit".
"She's... not really with us, is she?" He wanted to phrase that as delicately as he could, though there were only so many ways to talk about someone as if they weren't there, and none of them were tactful. Yet, he was left with the impression that it would be of little consequence.
Mira  "What do you mean?" Mira played dumb. "Altera is right there. Look, she's clearly listening. After all the outrageous things you've just said, I can't blame her for being confused." And Altera did look confused, not trying to get away from Mysta's grip but looking back at Mira helplessly, although Mira made no attempt to rescue her.
"The condition of a new life was given to all of us except for a select few. Hm... is that a little vague? I mean to say, is this conclusion really that surprising? Altera is living a normal, happy life. She isn't special. She isn't different from anyone else. Don't you think that father fulfilled his obligation as a parent by keeping her safe?"
Mysta  Even if Mira refused to acknowledge what was staring her in the face, Mysta's confidence in his conclusion was not shaken. He knew Altera well, better than anyone. This much wasn't enough to confuse her to begin with, even if you had taken away all her memories.
"Surprising? No. Not at all." That didn't make it any less bitter a pill for him to swallow, though. "Altera is special." Mysta insisted. "Making her the same as any other ordinary girl doesn't suit her at all. This isn't what she would have wanted for herself. She deserves so much more."
The last thing Mysta wanted to do was give Takumi credit, no matter how deserved. Still, he decided that he should at least give Mira an answer.
"She opposed her father to the very end." Mysta felt that Altera's own feelings were more compelling than any case he might make on her behalf, at least, it was certainly more difficult for Mira to poke full of holes.
Mira  "In that case, I suppose this isn't what she would have wanted." She granted that much without argument. "But then again, the loser doesn't determine their own settlement. That's the price of being defeated." So what if it didn't suit her? So what if this could only be called saving "Altera" in the most literal terms? "This is what father decided." The price for defeat, in other words, Altera's punishment for opposing him. "I had no hand in that."
Mysta  "Can't argue with that." His tone made it clear that he was anything but happy about it, though. "I suppose I have no right to complain, as the loser." He understood that, and yet-- "But, no matter how hard I try, I can't accept this reality."
He was treading on some dangerously thin ice by even entertaining such an idea, let alone putting it into words. It was only one or two steps removed from outright treason, though he held no loyalty in his heart towards the Emperor and High Priestess who treated him like a punching bag.
"I know Altera would feel the same way. She'd never accept this outcome." The Altera he knew wasn't the sort to give up, even after she had been defeated. If there was even a 1% chance of turning things around, she would never give in to despair.
Mira  "It's far too late to turn things around, though." The chance to turn things around, however slim, had passed a long time ago. The losers had no choice but to accept defeat. They didn't have to accept it gracefully- screaming, thrashing, crying at their impotence, dragging their knuckles through the dirt, all that was acceptable- but there was no other option.
"Will you love her even though she's like this?" Poor Altera, she must have been so confused, caught between these two people who were treating her like she wasn't even there. Mira didn't show any kind of consideration to that Altera's feelings. "Or does the thought nauseate you?" That wasn't even Altera, you could argue, and... that was true. Even so, killing her as though she wasn't a human was out of the question. She was still alive.
Mysta  He was as sore a loser as there was, having resorted to each and every one of those modes-- thrashing, screaming and yes, even crying, albeit without tears-- but those wounds were no longer fresh. He had not healed, rather, these wounds to his pride had festered and rot. He had no recourse but to sit and stew in these feelings of impotence.
"..."
His gaze lingered. He took a good, hard look at Altera. At the girl in front of him. She was nothing more than a ghost of her former self, but even an illusion could seem frighteningly real to the man who found himself lost to the desert. This mirage was certainly a seductive one.
"I will always love Altera."
Even if he could no longer have her. No, especially because she was so very far away. They say absence makes the heart grow fond. The hole she had left in his heart was larger than he would ever have expected.
"Nauseated? That's not what I meant by sick. My heart is aching."
Altera  But she didn't know this suit of armor who claimed to love her. This was something frightening to her, bewildering, and she didn't know how to react; her confusion kept her from resisting until now, but finally, after she accepted that Mira, who'd brought her here, wouldn't help her, she tried to pull away from Mysta's hands. "G-Get off of me...!"
Mira  She paid Altera's resistance no mind at all, still acting like she wasn't even here, and that her speaking up made no difference. "Hm." Instead, her gaze remained on Mysta, and, after evaluating him, she seemed satisfied enough to speak up again.
"I admit, I did lie a bit. That is Altera, but for now, it's only her body." She said something strange and scary that Altera couldn't possibly understand. Maybe later, Altera would write this incomprehensible situation off as a dream. How could she explain it to her parents?
Mysta  Altera struggled rather ineffectually against Mysta's iron grip until he realized she was shaking, and he released her. That look in her eyes, abject confusion mixed with a tinge of fear, it was painful, but it was something that he could accept, because he had already arrived at the very conclusion Mira was leading him to.
"I knew it. Something felt a bit... off." He understood that Altera was listening, and that meant it was rude to talk about her in this manner, but Mysta couldn't help himself. "Do you have any idea what exactly is going on?" He wondered, deciding to double down when it came to trying to get to the bottom of this, even if this line of questioning was bound to make the current Altera uncomfortable.
Mira  "It's exactly as I said." Innocently, the child tilted her head slightly to the right, as though she didn't understand the armor's confusion. "Is it not apparent what that means?"
Mysta  In truth, he knew damn well what it meant, but he'd have preferred not to be the one to spell it out loud, given that it had become crystal clear that despite her lack of response, Altera was certainly listening.
In the end, his frustration at beating around the bush like this won out over his sympathies to the woman who he was now confident didn't have feelings to hurt in the first place.
"She seems sound of mind and body, so... she's probably lacking a soul, right?"
He came right out and said it. It was a bit awkward and uncomfortable for him, especially given his own origin. He had been born without a soul, and yet, he had always been vibrant and bright, lively, not lacking in passion or personality.
This girl, seemed even more "incomplete" by comparison.
Mira  It was wrong of a child to fail to show respect to her elders, so the patronizing disappointment that showed briefly on her face when Mysta spelled out his theory must have been very rude, and recognizing this, Mira quickly wiped the condescending smile off of her face. If you were avoiding saying it, it didn't need to be said at all, you know? I'm not quizzing you. She held her tongue.
"Will you give up on her?" Instead of pressing the point, she moved on, asking a leading question. He already answered that he loved her- maybe she was trying to confirm something?
Mysta  He saw that look on her face, brief as it was, but did not let her clear disapproval bother him any. This girl, she might have been nearly identical to Altera in terms of appearance, but that didn't mean they were the same, far from it. He knew Altera's story well, he had seen her in her most private moments, and so, he was one of the few people in the world who could truly appreciate the dichotomy between the two "sisters".
"No. I won't give up on Altera, not ever." For as much humiliation and torment he had endured, he could not turn his back on Altera, for that would practically invalidate everything he'd been through. He would not surrender, no matter how far he lowered his head, in his heart of hearts, he would continue to oppose the Emperor and support Altera.
Mira  "I see. That's good." Altera was naturally confused, yet her response was irrelevant. Mira ignored it, like Altera represented just another fixture of the scenery. She was nothing of consequence. Yet, she did fight for her, so she deserved Mira's sympathy, not her malice. That was why she treated her kindly, even knowing she was only a corpse. If she stayed like that forever, would she be happy? No, of course not. It was humans that Mira loved, not dolls. She had no need of puppets. When Altera woke up, she might even have a friend. That was what her father offered her.
youtube
"If you have not lost your heart, then hold fast to those feelings." He might not have a body, but maybe emotions were enough. "Maybe?" Indeed, Mira wasn't sure. If they could be, then that was a wonderful thing. "To love must be to walk a path of hardship. To go against society, to go against the world, the strength of will to overcome any obstacle will surely stoke the hottest flames of love. If you are forbidden it, all the more so. If the one you love is claimed by another, all the more so. The greatest romance is found in the conquest of the heart."
Mira Kano folded her hands against her chest. She spoke eloquently, and with conviction, an orator like no child her age should be. Love dripped off of each and every word she spoke, so that there could be no doubt about her sincerity.
"If you're told that you were wrong for who you loved, then I will rebuff those accusations. For she only existed because of me, although I have forgiven her, who else could be more deserving to speak on matters of the heart that was born from me?" Altera couldn't say a word. All the better; let her forget tonight. Later, Mira would insist that this was all a dream, that this unbelievable scenario she couldn't hope to understand couldn't have been real, and her fragile mind, looking to connect the pieces of her memories cleanly so that they would be nice and neat and useful when they were given to their rightful owner, would surely fall in line, too. "I do not know you myself. But it isn't the same for her, right? And so I will support her love."
"There may be love in victory. There may still be love in defeat. Love transcends all things, even logic and reality themselves. If you treasure love above all, then what are form and role but obstacles to overcome, so that you may present them as gifts at the altar of your union?"
"If your love is weak, then you may surrender and admit you were wrong. But if it your love is too strong to be doused by the doubters who reject you, then hold your head high and swear that no force in the world could take her from you for good, and that it is those enemies of love who are wrong."
Mysta  He, too, had decided to ignore Altera entirely. Now that they were on the same page, now that he could be certain she did not possess a soul, there was no reason not to speak his mind freely, though Mira seemed to think little of his need for outright confirmation of his suspicions. He had already put that momentary unpleasantness out of mind.
Far more interesting than what Mira thought of him was what she had to say, and for his part, Mysta listened intently. With each passing moment, Mira reminded him more and more of the woman he knew and loved. A passionate and heartfelt speech delivered by such a fearsome intellect was sure to sway hearts and change minds.
Mira spoke with such conviction that even the pitiful Mysta who could only console himself with impotent declarations of love began to believe in himself. Ever since the day he had been reduced to this state, since his ego had been torn to shreds mercilessly by Takumi, there was a part of him that felt guilt, genuine remorse for his actions.
But Mira's words inspired a newfound confidence in Mysta, reigniting the embers of a long snuffed belief in himself. A rousing speech that could shake him free of his doldrums and inspire him, if not to act, than wait patiently, to bide his time until the right opportunity presented itself.
True love was patient, true love abided. He believed in the love that they shared, genuinely, truly. Even if they had met under suspect circumstances, his betrayals of her confidence withstanding, the connection he and Altera shared was real, and that was something that Takumi could never take away from him much as he tried.
These words, they were exactly what he needed to hear, delivered to him in precisely the form that would inspire him most. Mira did not know him, not truly, but nevertheless, her words held immense weight.
So this... this was the girl that Altera was willing to sacrifice everything to return to the world. He felt a newfound appreciation for Altera, for the love they shared, and their eternal struggle. They were alike in that, the abject defeat they suffered would only bring them closer together, surely.
"Thank you, Mira." His voice was full of emotion, something he was very much still capable of despite everything. He felt refreshed, reinvigorated. A fog had been lifted. Now that he had been freed of that haze, Mysta could see clearly, even if the path forward remained unclear.
"In the meantime, please look after Altera's body for me." He didn't say anything that would suggest this, but from tone and even posture alone, it was clear that Mysta had searched within himself and found a new well of strength. This newfound resolve would serve him well in the days to come.
Little did Mysta know, the opportunity to make good on this newfound promise was close at hand, much closer than he could ever imagine.
Mira  "She'll be looked after." That was not her responsibility. All the same, she was sure that Altera would be looked after.
Taking Altera by the hand, Mira led them away from the shed, through the snowy fields, and inside. She snuck in through one of the back exits from a smaller courtyard, away from the sleeping quarters, and, taking pains not to make too much noise, brought her back to her room.
Then, she noticed she was shivering. Altera was, too. But making them a cup of hot tea or cocoa at this late hour might risk waking up one of the servants if nothing else, so she decided that this was just another inconvenience that they had to endure and put her sister to bed as she was.

âiâm not scared but if you are, you can hold my hand.â with argyle đ
IZZY I LOVE THIS PROMPT SHUT UP SGGEGHE, i was gonna set this during season four but im simply pretending none of that hot mess exists, we live in my fanon universe where everyones alive and well, el never gets bullied, no one croaks, everyone is happy in california or indiana (minus brenner he can still choke) <3
Join the sleepover
The first time Jonathan invited Y/n over to their weekly movie night she was hesitant, being new to Lenora and only really getting to know a few people. However he'd seen her curse out one of the freshman girls at lunch for bullying his younger sister and immediately befriended her, and with his friendship came his best friend Argyle. However when he rushed over with Jonathan to pull El away from the scene-he was absolutely smitten at the sight of her.
She stood in front of Angela, clearly intimidating the younger girl as she shoved her back once after cursing her and her friends out, not to mention the fact that she'd smacked the books out of one of the boy's hands-then she picked one up and threw it at another one of the boys.
Then once the four bullies were gone, Y/n turned to see the three boys and the girl that she stepped in to help. Jonathan immediately thanking her and introducing himself, followed by El introducing herself as Jane-then adding in that she could call her El, then Will spoke, and finally she stared at Argyle, her dark brows raised as she waited for him to speak. The entire time he just stared with his lips parted-Jonathan having to introduce himself.
El was the one who brought up movie night, and Jonathan agreed-inviting her over if she was up to it-and she agreed. Not before stating that if anyone tried anything she'd murder them.
After that she found herself hanging out with the older boys more often, Argyle still kept his conversations with her short-instead he opted to admire her-a lovesick smile on his face as he'd listen to her rant and rave about things. Never really knowing when to make a move.
Their movie nights became a regular occurrence, tonight no different-except they were watching the exorcist. Which Y/n specifically told El and Will they didn't have to sit through if they didn't want to-which in turn resulted in the two fifteen year olds leaving twenty minutes into the movie.
Then of course Jonathan was a little too high to function, leading him to falling asleep in his seat, so it was just Y/n and Argyle. She was perfectly fine watching the movie, if anything she'd grimmace every now and then-but he was somewhat jumpy-to the point that she had to shifter herself, draping a leg over his while leaning into him and whispering "I'm not scared but if you are, you can hold my hand".
His eyes shot open, heart practically pounding against his chest and he couldn't tell if it was because of the girl next to him. Then to make things worse she trailed a finger along his shoulder-then shifted his hair-sliding it behind his shoulder as she leaned her head against it, placing her open hand on top of her thigh that was covering his.
"this shit's freaking me out dude" she giggled at his whisper, then she looked up at him from his shoulder, his eyes already on her "you're not even watching!" he shook his head "have you seen this? i don't think anyone should be watching" she laughed this time, then he laced his fingers through hers-firmly grasping her hand.
"You're really pretty Y/n" she smiled, raising a brow "you're not that bad yourself-now watch the movie scardy cat" he shook his head "or we could go indulge in some exotic flower" she laughed, glancing over at Jonathan who was still asleep "can I roll it?" he nodded "you can do anything you want, I'll follow you to the ends of the earth" she moved her leg, standing up-still holding his hand.
"Let's go"

âMy Bestfriend to My Manâ
â fic pairing: female oc x maknae line, fem oc x Jimin. Hinted poly relationship.
â current wc: 2.5k
â genre/ AU: angst, fluff, smut. Casual relationship. Domestic
â chapter warnings: â ď¸ď¸small fight scenes, small anxiety. Slight mention on sexual themes.
â summary : the one where Jimin finally comes to terms with his feelings for you.
To you this was just another day with your best friend. You planned everything out perfectly, it was a cute movie drive-in that was only going to be around for Limited time so you had to go. You had been at work all day thinking about the movie later.
"I think he's gonna ask you out" your friend said finishing up some orders. You looked over at her from your own orders.
"What makes you believe that? We're just friends" you said, completing the order and ringing the bell for them to pick it up. " because I believe he likes you y/n, can't you tell by how he looks at you, how he protects you?"
That is true. Jimin protected you with everything in him. No matter how big or how small the problem was, if it meant saving your life, it was worth it.
*flashback*
"Are you sure you're gonna be alright on your own? I'm pretty sure my mom can watch my daughter a little longer" one of your overnight employees questioned.
Tonight is one of the nights you and a few of your employees had to stay overnight to stock up on supplies and things for the cafĂŠ. You did it once a week, every Saturday night. It was supposed to be you, your co-owner, and an employee.
"Yeah you have nothing to worry about. Rae said she'll be over as soon as her family dinner is over and the cafĂŠÂ across the street is still open so if anything happens someone is bound to see and help. Don't worry. Go be with your daughter, give her a kiss for me" you smiled. She smiled brightly and hugged you tight.
"Thank you so much, y/n. If I'm able to, I'll be right back" you smiled. "Take your time, I'm sure Rae will be here any minute" she bowed and left out.
You sighed softly looking at all the work cut out for you. "This is going to be a long night" you mumbled, took a bite of your pizza and then you got to work.
A few hours went by and Jimin FaceTime you. You answered on the first ring and sat back down. "Hiya min" you smiled. Jimin quickly looked at your surroundings.
"You aren't home?" He asked, you shook your head. "Remember I have to stock tonight." You said showing him the mess you've created. "Aish, no wonder your neighbor looked at me like that" he said leaving your doorstep and getting back into his car.
"What do you mean?" You asked. "I was standing outside your apartment ready to kick your door down because you weren't answering, I was worried" he sighed, setting his phone down before driving off. He hated that. Sometimes you would get so caught up in work or something else and forget to text him.
"Ahhh I'm sorry. I was just really busy, I have to get this all done in one night." You sighed. "You're on your own? Jagiyaaaa" he whined. You laughed at his ranting and raving. "It's not safe, there's a creep floating around town taking advantage of pretty girls like you being alone. Have you locked the doors?!" Jimin yelled. "Aww so you're calling me pretty?" You tilted your head smiling brightly.
Jimin's cheeks turned super red and his hands got sweaty. "Don't change the subject Y/n. Did you lock the doors?" He asked again more sternly, letting you know he was being serious. You admitted defeat. "Okay okay, sorry. Yes I lock the doors, everything is okay. If you're that worried, why don't you come help me?" You battered your eyelashes. He chuckled giving into your cute features. "Alright alright, but we're crashing at my place okay?" You smiled and nodded.
"Deal, see you soon Min".
After hanging up the phone with Jimin, you felt relieved that you'll have some help to get this done faster and you get to spend the night in Jimin's warm bed. You swore he has the softest bed, you always fall asleep with no issues when you're there.
A few moments later you saw a shadow from the corner of your eye wall across. Not paying it any mind though, this street is always filled with late night walkers, couples, mainly students trying to find a spot to eat or club. You weren't concerned until you heard someone try to jiggle the door knob. "Maybe it's Jimin or Rae" you said standing up and coming around the Corner only to see that it was Jimin or Rae but in fact a stranger, perhaps the guy Jimin was talking about. The stranger began to jiggle the door knob hard followed by a few bangs to the glass window, mind going blank, hoping he didn't already see you. You dropped to your knees and dialed Jimin's number back.
Thankfully he answered immediately, "Yah I'm down the street-" the man had successfully managed to get inside the cafĂŠ looking around for the pretty girl he saw earlier. You quickly locked yourself in the office and hid under the desk. "Min, Min s-someone's in here please please please hurry" you said shaking underneath your desk holding onto your phone with dear life. "What? How I thought you locked the doors!?" Jimin said quickly getting out of his car and sprinting down the street to your cafĂŠ. "I-i did I did but you know I've been having issues with the locks for- Min he's trying to get in he's trying to get in! Min please!" You cried. The phone went completely silent, "m-Min? Min?"
It was bone silent for a while, then you heard a couple glass breaking and shuffling coming from the other room. You sat there. Covering your ears, not wanting to hear the familiar sound. Within minutes the shuffling and screaming stopped, and you heard a soft knock on the door followed by the soft voice you grew to love.
"It's me Jagiya, open up"
You hurriedly opened the door to see a slightly injured Jimin. "Oh my Gosh are you okay? Min, are you hurt?" You said taking his face to your hands and examining his wounds. "I'm fine, I'm fine. Are you alright? Did he touch you?" Jimin asked to do his own examination. "Don't worry about me, you just got into a fight! Are-"
"And I'll get into 100 more if it means you'll be okay"
*** end of flashback ***
"He fought for you, like FOUGHT fought. Still has the cut on his pretty little face for you! Not too many people fight for others just saying" Rae said looking at you smirking.
"He's just my best friend, that's it. It's not that serious" you said.
"If it's not that serious and you're just best friends, why don't you make me coffee when I come in, you make his coffee everyday at the same time before he even asks for it, before you even know if he's going to come see you. ALSO, I don't spend NIGHTS at my best friend's house and come back to work with a hickey on my neck." You eyes widen, "we haven't don't anything like that! He's other friends came and they dared him too!" You pouted.
"He didn't say no, he didn't even hesitate did he?" She said, smirking.
At the same time Jimin walked in happy to see you and like clock work you already had his order complete.
"Lovebirds I'm calling it now, you're gonna be my best friend-in-law" Rae said seriously as you and Jimin laughed.
Later that nightđ¸
"Ugh you're so annoying" you giggled at your new best friend, snatching your blanket back. He pouted. "I'm cold too Y/n you can't have all the blanket" causing you to laugh more.
" I told you to bring a blanket! I even asked you if you need one, you said no" you whisper yelled. Your cute friend pouted his lips even more as he whined fighting you for a part of your blanket. "Yaaah y/n. You didn't tell me it was going to be cold and I thought we were going to a real movie theater" he said wiggling himself closer to you wrapping himself on you and the blanket around you both.
"Warm. Your. Mochi" he whined, pulling the blanket on him. You giggled pulling the blanket back "use the one that's underneath us min!" "No! It's on the ground and we're going to use it when our food gets here, just share with mee" he said opening the blanket and diving himself inside snuggling you close waiting for the movie to start while you couldn't contain your laughter. "Wah, you're so cute Min but next time you'll listen to me right?" You said snuggling him close. He smiled and nodded.
Watching the stars, watching some movies you grew up on or something that just came out, eating popcorn and drinking soda.
Jimin didn't care for the movie at all. He has his own agenda tonight.
He's going to confess to you.
It didn't matter if it was in a movie theater or right here underneath the stars. He's tired of hiding it from you. He can't keep looking you in your face, hearing you cry about some guy that stood you up or didn't text back, or about a guy you had no interest in but you'll call him up when you need to be fucked, knowing he's in love with you. Ready to make you his.
But he was scared. He knew you've been through a lot, maybe you didn't want a relationship.
Maybe you just wanna fuck, he'll be cool with that.
Maybe you need time, he's 100% okay with that.
Maybe you didn't see him in that way, he'll accept that, but he couldn't sit here with a mind full of maybes, he needed to tell you.
He looked down at you lying on his chest, watching the movie that captured your attention. He was getting nervous, he began rubbing your side out of habit. You looked up at him frowning, you caught on to that habit quickly, "what's wrong?" He rubbed your side a little faster and cheeks turned red.
"I need to talk to you.. about something" he said looking in your eyes seeing the seriousness, you instantly sat up and held his hand. "Talk to me, what's up?" You said.
"You always make yourself available to me... fuck y/n" he smiled. "Well duh you're my best friend. My only true friend" you smiled brightly, but your eyes showed sadness.
"Well you have Rae too," Jimin said, rubbing your thighs. "True but she's busy with her life, she has a husband and a baby already. She won't have time for me soon" you sighed. "So I only have you best friend," you smiled. "....but I don't wanna be best friends," he said softly. Your heart rate started to beat faster and busted out in a cold sweat.
'Not again, please not again.' You thought to yourself.
"H-huh?" You managed to get out without busting out in full tears. 'Maybe I didn't understand him..'
"Kitten, I don't wanna be your best friend anymore..." he repeated again, breaking your heart once again. He opened his mouth to explain further but you stopped him with your tears. He looked at you confused. "Why are you-"
"W-was is something I did? I-I'm sorry, but please don't go.. just let me fix it, maybe I c-can fix it just let me fix it?" You said pulling onto his belt buckle wiping your tears, sniffling as you fumbled with his buttons.
In complete shock, Jimin quickly stopped you. "Y-you don-" "N-no I want to" you cried moving his hands "Y-Y/n no stop it" he demanded, he wanted you but not this way.
"But you can't leave me! I won't have anything or anyone else-"
"Stop. Please just listen to me!" He yelled. His voice carried through the half empty park.
Heads turned towards you and Jimin and began to whisper. Your cheeks turned red and your hands started to shake, causing you to get up and walk away quickly.
Jimin sighed and quickly cleaned up, throwing everything into the car before following you.
There was a small lake really close by, so you decided to stop there. You needed your mind to stop. You couldn't lose someone else again, too many people walked out of you when you needed them, you promised yourself you wouldn't allow it to happen again, you were going to do everything right, do whatever they wanted, just so you couldn't feel the cold anymore.
So you could be warm.
You finally released your cries and whimpers, really believing you were going to be alone forever..
Then You felt your warmth, the one that didn't make you cold anymore.
"Please don't go Jimin...I-I need you whatever I did I won't do it again" you said pulling him closer to you, hugging him tight. He chuckled. "I never said I was leaving love."
You looked up at him and frowned. "But you said you didn't want to be my best friend anymore-"
"That didn't mean I was leaving"
He looked in your eyes, turned you to him. The moon light shone over his beautiful bright eyes, comforting you.
"I don't wanna be your best friend anymore because... I wanna be your man" he said, holding your hands tight.
"I wanna be your husband really but boyfriend is fine"
He smiled and continued. "I wanna wake up to you, I wanna make you breakfast, I want you to make me breakfast, I wanna make you a mommy, I want you to make me a daddy. When I make it, I wanna make it with you-" he paused..
"Y/n I love you." He smiled softly.
"I have to be honest, I-I wanna be your girlfriend b-but I'm scared... I don't know how to be a perfect girlfriend..." you looked up at him and he smiled.
"Baby girl I don't know how to be a perfect boyfriend, I'm going to piss you off, you're going to piss me off," he paused while looking into your eyes, with the most and tender look of all.Â
"but I would rather piss you off and make it up to you later than to have a perfect girlfriend." Jimin smiled. You blushed avoiding his eyes.
"Look at me beautiful, '' he said, putting his forehead on yours. You looked in his eyes..
"Now... will you be my girlfriend?"

oli - 21, felix - 19, belle - 16
âWeâre so fucking screwed.â
âBelle, for the millionth time, chill the fuck out.â
But how the fuck was anyone supposed to be chill when there was a full-on house party, close to being a rave, occurring in their house? A house that was their mumâs life work. A house party that their parents new nothing about. A night where absolutely anything and everything could go wrong.
The three siblings stood at the bottom of the stairs, in front of the door, looking around at the scenes occurring between each room. There were girls whispering to each other on the sofas, there was a group of guys playing beer pong in the kitchen and there was a large group of people hanging around by the pool and some even taking a dip. What had meant to be a low-key party had managed to turn into the whole neighbourhood plus the next town over. It was completely overboard.
âWhoâs idea was this again?â Belle asked, clearly not understanding the full reasoning behind a full fledged party in their house.
âAll of ours.â Oli responded, when in reality it was really just his, and a bit of Felix, idea.
âNope. Iâm not getting grounded because you two dickheads wanted to be rebels.â Belle put her hands up as if to stop this whole situation. She did not want to be a part of this and yet had somehow got screwed up with it all.
âSo what are you going to do?â Felix asked.
âAnywhere where this doesnât have my name stamped all over it.â Belle gestured around her, all of them groaning when they heard something smash from a nearby room. They were actually going to be locked up forever after this.
âBelle, mum and dad are out for the night. Dad said he booked a hotel for them to stay over at, so they wonât even be back until tomorrow morning.â Oli explained, trying to calm down his very nervous sister.
âYeah, plus if youâre so insistent on leaving why did you get so dressed up?â Felix did have a point. Belle had gone through the effort tonight to be looking as best she could. She was sporting a little black dress with black fishnet tights and her trusty Doc Martens. It was a very colourful outfit, as she would explain. Belle had even gone to the effort of adding glue-on gems to her makeup. Whereas her brothers were just wearing sweaters and trousers and trainers. Typical teenage boys.
âIâll bet thatâs why.â Oli nodded behind Belle and smirked as he watched his little sister turn around.
Megan Dover. Belleâs high school crush and cleverest person in the year. Felix and Oli caught Belle blush when their little sister looked at Megan, waving to her cutely. Belle was a lot more introverted than Megan, but Belle didnât mind. She admired that Megan was so outspoken and kind and smart, but too bad they didnât truly know of Belleâs existence. At least, not really.
âAlright fine, iâll stay, but just donât say I didnât warn you.â Belle rolled her eyes and then walked off in the direction of the kitchen - if she was ever going to speak to Megan sheâd need at least 4 shots in her system.
âBe safe little B.â Oli waved her off and then the two brothers looked at each other knowingly. âIs Heather here?â
âNot yet no, think sheâs coming with the girls in a bit.â Felix checked his phone as his brother questioned him. âWhat about Bea?â
âSheâs upstairs.â
âWhy? I thought we werenât allowing anyone upstairs?â
âDude sheâs my girlfriend, I think she gets a pass.â Oli patted his brothers back and then saunters up the stairs two at a time to go and find his girlfriend and reintroduce her to the party.
Another smash of something glass sounding came from the kitchen, along with a turn of screams and mumbles of oops.
âFuck, we are so screwed.â Felix muttered under his breath as he made his way to the kitchen to clean up whatever was now broken.
â˘â˘â˘â˘
Meanwhile, you and Harry were basking in each otherâs presence at a fancy new restaurant downtown called Caste Inn.
Harry decided it was time for you to have a treat and so was taking you out for dinner and then retreating to a fancy hotel, where he would not let you rest for the whole night. He was already being really handsy this evening, but you kept swatting his prying hands away because you were in public.
âBabe, câmon iâm dying here!â He whined as you swatted his hand away from the skirt of your dress for the fifth time since mains. You were lucky you were in a crescent shaped booth so it was hard for anyone to see what was going on underneath the table, but you still felt so exposed.
âQuit it Harry.â You sniped, returning your attention back to the desserts menu. The restaurant was that kind of place where the portions are sparrow sized and yet cost you as much as it would to donate a kidney, so there was no surprise that you were still hungry and had room for dessert.
âJust wanna love on my wife.â He pouted next to you, keeping his arm slunk around the back of the booth to continue to caress your far shoulder delicately.
âWeâre in the middle of a restaurant, youâre crazy.â You snickered, trying your hardest to focus on the desserts; Tiramisu, Chocolate Orange Gateau, Pecan Pie, Creme BrulĂŠ and an endless list of more mouthwatering yumminess.
âFucking crazy for you, yes.â He kissed your cheek once, twice and then bit it too on the third, making you moan slightly at the exposure of it all. âYou used to let me do this kind of thing all the time, what happened hey?â
âI got old.â You laughed, but really you felt saddened by the thought of it. You were approaching your forties and you felt as though time wasnât on your side anymore. Life was all flying by so fast and it was becoming so hard to stop it for a moment to see how beautiful it all is. Harry could tell you were faking your happiness in that moment and he hated that you felt this way. He loved you. He would worship the ground you walk upon. Nothing would ever be too much of an ask for him if it meant keeping your happy. Yes, you were getting older, but it didnât mean that was a bad thing. At least you were getting older together and becoming maturer together.
âTalk to me, love.â He gently asked, knowing there was something on your mind that was bothering you.
âI just⌠I just feel like iâm getting olderââ
âYou are love, yes.â He interrupted you, which earned him a slap to the thigh. He didnât let your hand go though, leaving it to rest on his tight thigh.
âAnd then suddenly thatâs going to be it. No more Y/N.â
âDonât say things like that to me, please love.â Harry shook his head, squeezing your hand a little tighter.
âAnd I feel like iâll have regretted not doing so many things. Like I wonât have lived my life.â
âThings like?â
âThings like riding a motorcycle with you. Things like staying up all night with a bottle of wine and a good bit of Elvis. Reckless things, like skinny dipping or crashing a high school party. Things like, having my husband finger fuck me in a public restaurant. I remember when everything seemed so free and chaotic and I loved it. Now I feel stuck.â
âStuck how, love?â Harry leaned in closer to you, his eyes full of love and determination because if thatâs what you wanted he could give you all those things - especially the orgasm.
âIâm a mum, H. Youâre a dad. Weâre parents,m. Good ones at that. Arenât we supposed to be grown up and responsible now? We donât get to take risks anymore, because we have a family right? God, I sound so pathetic.â You sighed and put the menu down, not thinking about which pudding you wanted to fill yourself up with anymore.
âBabe. If you want to ride a motorcycle and go skinny dipping then letâs fucking do it. Why are you so afraid to hold back? Because we have kids, because darling believe me when I tell you - however much it disturbs me - our kids are out doing just as many reckless and crazy things as we used to do. Maybe we should fuck the prestigious system and show our children, all parents - including us - that adulthood, parenthood, doesnât define the choices you make. We do.â
You couldnât stop looking at your husband, drinking in every last drop of his beauty. His words filled your heart with rose petals and chocolates, warming you up delightfully. God, you were so lucky to have him. He helped you through the most toughest of times and continued to stick with you, not because a ring says he has to, but because he loves you. Undeniably and irrevocably loves you.
That was all it took for you to comply.
Quickly, you moved one of your legs under the table cloth so it draped over Harryâs thighs and made an opening between your legs. The cloth hid everything well, along with the dirty napkins that sat upon your laps.
âWh- what are you doing love?â Harry asked confused, after not hearing a word back from you for his earlier speech.
âHarry I love you, I do, but will you just shut up and fuck my pussy with your fingers already.â You whispered wetly against his ear with your lips. He groaned at the words and tightened his grip around your leg, widening the gap he had to work with.
His hand slid underneath your dress slowly, squeezing the flesh of your thighs in tease, until he got to where your panties were. Or at least where they should be.
âShit, youâre not wearing any pants?â Harry asked quizzically, pushing his fingers against your glistening pussy and feeling just how ready you were for him.
âOh fuck!â You muffled out before Harry quickly slapped your slit because you were making too much noise, which only then made you squeal a bit more. He slapped your cunt hard enough the second time for you to get the memo that you needed to be quiet - but fuck was that a challenge. As much as you can be quiet, you just donât like to be. You like knowing that your moans and whines turn Harry in even more, just as much as you love hearing his.
âFucking hell, soaked already.â His fingers toyed with the folds of your cunt, feeling how puffy they were between his ringed fingers. âGotta be quiet for me okay?â Just as he started pushing his delicious fingers inside of you, the waiter turned up at the table with a cheery face and not a bouncing clue what was happening between the two of you.
âDesserts?â He asked politely with his charming smile, but you didnât see it for too long before having to close your eyes shut at the sudden movement of Harrys fingers. He wasnât stopping on the waiters behalf, in fact he was more forcefully going for it. He moved his fingers in circles inside of you, thumbing over your clit in the way he knew you desired most. He was insatiable.
Reckless.
âNo, just the bill please. Need to take my wife home to take care of some things.â Harry spoke for you both, not understanding why he was being so open with the amount of information he was giving away. But fucking hell you didnât care because his fingers were providing you pleasures beyond reason.
âYes Sir. Iâll only be two minutes.â He smiled again before he was gone, taking the menus with him.
âHere that baby?â Harry whispered into your ear, moving his fingers more freely now there was less of an audience, âyouâve got two minutes to cum.â
âWhaââ
Questioning his authority would have to wait, for Harry got to work very quickly and perfectly. His fingers slicked in and out of you so erotically and if it wasnât for the live music and loud chatter of the room, the sounds of his fingers driving in and out of you would be heard by everyone. His fingers curled to all the right places, touching the most sensitive parts of your walls and hell did it feel blissful.
âIâd say youâve got about a minute left baby, and I think you can cum for me before then. Canât you? Or am I not good enough for that kind of release anymore?â Harry taunted you and pressed wet kisses to your ear. You were too lost in euphoric paradise to notice, or even care, whether anyone could see or was watching you both. You were too focused on your husband. Your Harry.
âN-no. I can cum. Youâre so good - shit - so g-good.â You stammered out, breathless from the air stolen from your lungs because of this erotic moment. This was so bad behaved of you both that you were starting to get a high off of it.
âCum for me then baby. Do it. Iâve got you.â He kissed your lips to capture the moan that trailed off your tongue as you reached your high. You felt so high and yet so safe. Harry steadied you as your legs shook and kissed you senseless, to quieten your whines. He admired that you had been so willing for this and he would be lying if he said he didnât have a raging hard-on right now.
âI love you,â you raced out quickly, âI love you.â
âI love you, Y/N.â He kissed your lips again and withdrew his fingers from your dripping cunt. You picked up a napkin but he quite quickly took it away from you, throwing it to the other side of the table.
âWhat are you doing?â You whisper shouted, needing to clean yourself up.
âMore like what are you doing?â
âCleaning my mess.â You said frustratedly.
âLeave that to me.â He spoke whilst holding intense eye contact with you, bringing his fingers that were coated in your arousal to his lips and sucking them dry. Every last drop worked its way into his mouth and he salivated at the taste - the smell.
âHarryââ
âThe bill Sir.â The waiter interrupted you without knowing. Harry took out his wallet and used his card on the card machine, before signing his name on the cheque as if to affirm that he has paid.
âThank you.â Harry spoke kindly, completely different to how he was with you all but two minutes ago.
âThank you Sir, Maâam. Have a lovely rest of your evening.â And he wad gone again with his smile.
Harry turned to you with the largest grin on his face, âOh we will.â
â˘â˘â˘â˘
âOli stop eating the leftover lasagne itâs for mums lunch!â
Belle was rushing around trying to chill everything down. The party was so out of control that even Oli and Felix were wasted. Megan was blowing hot and cold with her too, so she had no idea where she stood with them.
People were everywhere. Too many people that it was becoming claustrophobic. Felix was currently playing beer pong with a group of his friends, Heather attached at his hip, whilst Oli was sitting on the kitchen countertop eating cold lasagne. The boy was like chuffing Garfield. Belle was doing her best to keep calm, but as the night progressed it started to become worse and worse as it got harder to control.
As Belle turned to leave the kitchen, her brother clearly not listening to her, she bumped into someone. Kyle. Fucking Kyle. The guy who had obsessed over her to the point where Harry was seriously considering getting a restraining order on him to protect his daughter. He was a straight A creep and Belle hadnât even realised heâd been invited to this party. Then again, over half of these people had most definitely not been invited.
âOh hey Isabelle.â He stressed her whole name, knowing how much she hated it. Well, she didnât hate her name she just hated him saying her name.
âGo away Kyle.â
âBut I just got here.â
âAnd now you can just leave. Partyâs ending anyways.â Belle stood her ground, but her hands were shaking from being even remotely close to this guy. He was disgusting to the point where if you were stuck between having to choose between being with him or eating mouldy cheese, youâd eat the cheese on a fucking silver platter.
âLooks quite alive to me.â
âWell iâm shutting it down and youâre going to leave. Now.â
âYou need to liven up Belle.â Kyle chuckled through his nose, making him look scary as he towered over Belle, âlet me help you.â He leaned forwards to grab her arm but she was quick to push him away.
âNo! Leave me alone!â Belle shouted, trying to dodge around him but he was quicker. He grabbed her arm tight and pulled her back to him, chest touching chest. âGet off me Kyle.â Belle squirmed in his hold, which only made Kyle happier - the creep.
âCâmon Bella, live a little.â
âMy nameâs not Bella and I told you to get the fuck off of me.â Belle pulled back with all her might, whilst kicking him square in the balls - probably hard enough so heâll never be able to have children - and then drove her knee up to crack his nose - successfully. Damn, that felt good. Heavily badass, actually.
âYou fucking psycho!â Kyle held his nose and his balls in pain, straightening himself up as if to launch himself with fury at Belle. Luckily for her the outburst between the pair had caught attention of people - including Oli and Felix.
Oli was quick to step in front of Kyle, Felix just behind him. âYou dare lay a fucking finger on my sister and I swear to you youâll regret it.â Oli threatened, fists curled tight at his sides.
Heather came to hug Belle, comforting as she cried through the after shock of the situation. Sheâd been so brave and handled herself so well though. âYou okay?â She kindly asked.
âY-yeah.â No.
Everyone was now watching. The music had been muted to the point where you could tell it was playing but you couldnât tell which song it was. Friends of Oli and Felix were standing close by in case things got messy, which normally only happened between the two brothers and not this way. Doors could be heard opening and shutting as people came in and out from places to watch the debacle occur between the hosts of the party and the unwelcome visitor. Oli and Felix knew they had to be careful though, because one wrong video and it could badly effect their dadâs career. Belle shook in Heathers arms and wished this nightmare of an evening to be over.
âOh the whoreâs not worth it anyways.â Kyle laughed, rolling his eyes as he pointed towards Belle.
âThe fuck did you just call my daughter?â
Oh fucking shit balls.
âDad?â Belle asked warily, seeing his dad stood in the doorway of the front door, her mum standing close behind him with her hand tightly clutched to his. As much as Belle was terrified that her parents had busted them, she also felt safe in their presence.
âOh and here comes perfect-dad-of-the-year Harry Styles to the rescue.â Kyle teased which made Felix move forward in protest of his words.
âFix.â Harry sternly called his name, making his son stop and look towards his dad who was shaking his head with a soft smile. Harry walked over towards Belle first, you still clutched tightly to him. âYou alright?â He asked sincerely, not looking cross or disappointed at all. Belle nodded quickly and kept her head pressed to Heatherâs chest. Harry turned to see his boys, raising his eyebrows to wordlessly ask them the same question to which they nodded too.
Harry dropped your hand, leaving you to stand with your sons, and left your forehead with a kiss before making his way to Kyle. âYou okay boys?â You asked again, even though you knew Harry just asked.
âYeah. Are you mum?â Oli asked, coming to wrap his arm around his mums neck to comfort her. He was so kind and thoughtful, just like his dad.
âListen up, Kyle.â Harry started, keeping a good distance between him and the boy, âIf you ever come near my family again iâm ordering a restraining order. Thatâs not a threat, itâs a promise. If you break that order youâll be going to jail. Big league jail too. Again not a threat, a promise. So youâre going to leave my house, this property in itsâ entirety and go home to sit in your room and think about whether you would prefer to be in a prison cell instead. Do you understand?â
Okay, youâd be lying if you said his authority didnât turn you on.
âY-yeah.â Kyle mumbled pathetically.
âI said do you understand?â Harry repeated again, clearly not satisfied with the answer given.
âYes Mr Styles.â Kyle said more surely, before scramming from the house, from the party and from the neighbourhood.
âNow everyone out of my house before I call the police.â Everyone knew how that was not an empty threat and dashed out of his house. Some looked at him in awe, because this was probably their once and only chance of being in the presence of the Harry Styles. He sighed as he walked to the kitchen, leaning against the kitchen counter to think.
âShould weââ Belle started to talk but you cut her off.
âNo, hunny. Let me go talk to your dad. You lot,â referring to your children and girlfriends whoâd kindly stayed behind in support, âcan go fetch some bin liners and start cleaning this all up.â You pointed around to the mess that was your house, before walking off to the kitchen.
You looked around at the mess. A broken vase. Litter everywhere. Half-drunken drinks left on the table. Bottle openers you definitely didnât own before tonight. Trousers? You couldnât help but giggle at the surrounding sight.
âWhatâs got you laughing?â Harry asked, still in his fancy shoes and fancy coat, you still in your fancy heels and your fancy coat. Yet, you were both standing in what looks like a garbage dump site. Harry moved his hand away from his face and looked at you with a blank expression.
âYou were right!â You laughed.
âYour reaction as if thatâs a bloody miracle, love, which kind of an ego crush, but continue.â He rolled his eyes and you rolled yours in response. You clicked your way over to him and wrapped your arms around his waist, he kept his wrapped around his own obviously still closing himself off.
âOur kids are being reckless and crazy.â You recalled dinners earlier conversation, smiling up at him in admiration.
âI didnât actually mean it, it was just a quick way to make you feel better.â He groaned in frustration.
âWell gee thanks babe!â You laughed at the whole irony of this situation. âHarry, babe, look at me,â you had to used your hand to turn his cheek to face you, stroking his cheek to calm him, âadulthood - parenthood - doesnât define the choices we have to make. We do. And our children, apart from that last little bit, seemed like they had the most freeing and most brilliant night yet! Let them be reckless H. Let them make mistakes. Just because this happened doesnât make us bad parents, and it doesnât make us bad parents if we decide no punishmentââ
âHa like thatâs going to happen!â Harry cut you off and you glared at him to just shut up.
âJust shut up, you oaf. Let the kids live while theyâre young.â
âYou did not just reference one of my songs.â Harry looked to the ceiling as he smiled widely, before shortly laughing at how cheesy that was. âOh my god Y/N!â
âWhat? Was is that bad?â
âYes, babe. Yeah it really was.â He looked back down at you to see you smiling and he couldnât help but cup your cheeks and kiss you silly. His perfect lips fit yours and you tasted him until you couldnât breathe. âI love you.â
âI love you. Now go help clean up.â You ordered him, making him look at you confused.
âWhat the hell have I done to deserve this?â
âYou booked the hotel for next weekend instead of this weekend you div. Now go.â You smacked his backside and he strolled back over to you and pushed you into the counter. You gasped at the sudden motion.
âDo that again and letâs see what happens.â He whispered dangerously against your lips.
âGo clean up and then see whatâs waiting in our bedroom.â You bit your lip and tugged Harryâs hand to under your dress, giving him only a slight feel of how wet you were before letting his hand go and walking away.
âKids, hand me a bloody bin bag. Now!â

riptide (n) â a dangerous area of strongly moving water in the sea, where two or more currents meet.
Lady, running down to the riptide - Taken away to the dark side - I wanna be your left hand man.
The turn of events has been so fucking hilariously impossible that Seokjin has literally been rendered speechless. Which doesn't happen often, mind you. What can he do, he is just extremely wittyâhe always has something to say about everything, usually and preferably with impeccable comic timing. Especially when it comes to you.Â
This, though. This completely baffling scenario, right in front of him, has him gaping like a goldfish with no words to say.
"Final call, Jin. Gawk at me for five more seconds and I walk out of here," you threaten, an elegant arm poised at your waist and gorgeously plump lips pressed into a thin line. "Say something?"
And Seokjin still cannot formulate a single word, because what the actual fuck? How can you even think that he could everâÂ
"Alright." You catwalk out of his bedroom, leaving him blinking into space.
He jumps the next second, leaping after you. "Honey! How wouldâwhatâI can neverâwhy do I even have to sayâwill you wait? Youâre being so ridiculous, right now, I hope you know that!"
If he wasn't in such a fix, Seokjin would physically cringe at his speech. It was better when he was just gaping.
âHoney! Stop being so overdramatic, youâve known me and youâve known Jimin! For years! Stop acting like you seriously donât know what happened, here!â
You don't stop, though, gliding down the stairs and hopping over the haphazardly tossed items in the living room as you exit out of the house.
And then you're gone. You're really gone, over something so fucking ridiculous, that Seokjin still has no words to say.
All he knows is that his girlfriend of five years has finally gone crazy enough to jump to conclusions of such high magnitude of stupidity.
And, that Park Jimin is a dead man.
It all begins on an unsuspecting Sunday morning, when the entire house is smelling of weed, stale booze and some worse fluids.Â
Last night, Seokjin vacated his own bedroom for the boys to smoke up in at Jimin's request, because that is the only well ventilated room of the house. He spent the night in Yoongi's room with earplugs in, dead to all the chaos in the houseâas he often does on party nightsâto catch up on his beauty sleep. He cannot afford any unbecoming dark circles or, God forbid, breakouts.
And no, that's not a comedic moment, he really does need his face looking perfect this week for reasons outside of personal gratification too, because he has a shoot on Tuesday. He especially took a leave from his part-time job at the Mexican restaurant downtown where his girlfriend, you, work full-time, on a Tuesdayâsaying goodbye to all the amazing tips always forwarded to the cooks on Taco Tuesdayâfor this. Nothing would mess up his face.
Not to mention that one very important audition for a very gigantic project he's been looking forward to. They're yet to announce the date, but it would be this very month. He hasn't really told you much about it, planning a huge surprise for later whenâif, actually, but he prefers to be unrealistically optimistic in every situation possibleâhe bags the coveted position, at the end. He hasn't really decided upon much, other than a long drive and a picnic date to one of those grasslands on the city's outskirts that you love so much. Oh, and bringing up the prospect of moving in together in an apartment with just the two of you.Â
He's pretty certain you must not remember him raving about the opportunity, because it has been months since he did that. He then proceeded to be covert about all the mini auditions and trainings he underwent to prepare for the final audition, and he is confident you have not connected the dots.
But that is all a discussion for later â he doesn't even know when he would be auditioning.Â
The crux of the whole matter is that he needs to keep looking as flawless as he can until that audition happens.
So he has slept like a baby, last night, while the rest of his friends have partied, including two out of three of his housematesâHoseok and Jiminâalong with Taehyung and Taehyung's girl. Namjoon had foregone attendance in lieu of the Halloween party, next weekend, that he knows he would definitely be forced to attend because Hoseok is hosting. Yoongi, his third and final housemate, escaped the house altogether to spend a night of music-making with Jungkook in his dorm.
So, in the morning, when Seokjin is moving around his kitchen that seems to have been hit by a tornado, checking the fridge and mentally praying that his baggie of smoothie ingredients is still in good shapeâa scream echoes around the house.
Seokjin freezes. That sounded a lot likeâŚyou.
Immediately alert, he runs out of the kitchen and into the drawing room. Hoseok is hanging upside down on one of the couches, something that looks a lot like undigested white sauce pasta puddles on the ground, inches from his new, fiery red hair. Seokjin grimaces.
"Kim Seokjin!" your screech tears the silence.
Seokjin twists on his heels, looking up in the direction of his bedroom. It really is you. And you're in his bedroomâthe room he did not occupy last night.
God only knows what kind of a scene you have walked in on. He hopes these idiots didnât have an orgy up there, although he really canât put it past them.
Not waiting another second, Seokjin rushes up the stairs and pushes through the doors to his bedroom. His mouth falls open on an audible gasp.
You stand next to his bed, dressed up elegantly in a navy dress that ends above your kneesâwhich makes him wonder if you are here for an impromptu breakfast dateâwith one hand clutching his duvet that has uncovered what looks likeâŚ
âŚa head of long, dirty blonde hair.
Who the fuck?
In his bed?
"Hey, Honey!" Seokjin's voice is a squeak. "You⌠you here for a date?" he manages out of a suddenly parched throat.
You roll your eyes. "Uh huh. A fact you would've known if you looked at the texts I sent you last night." Your eyes are narrow at him. "This explains why you didn't, though. Busy night, Jin?"Â
He balks at your words, at a loss. How could you even think it was him, when you know all about Park Jimin and his escapades?!Â
Seokjin's blood boils. Fucking Jimin. There is going to be blood on Seokjinâs hands.Â
In the midst of it, the blonde head shifts.Â
Soon after, as you two watch, a pair of brown eyes with smudged makeup emerge from inside Seokjin's bedâand the audacity?! Thereâs makeup all over his covers! Jimin will pay for the dry cleaning. The face is followed by a whole, tiny woman of five-something feet who is, thankfully, covered in a shirt.
Seokjin is almost not breathing when the blonde starts to give him a dreamy smile, his gaze switching between her and you. And itâs extremely stupid, because he hasnât seen this woman before, ever, in his entire life. But he catches the way your arms fall to your sides and those elegant, dainty fingers of yours ball up into fists as you look at the blondieâs face.
Fortunately, the girl recognises him at last before her grin could turn fully dopey, and with a squeak, jumps out of the bed. âYouâre notâum. Hi. Sorry, I, uh. Iâll get going.â
And surprisingly, she does exactly that in less than a minute, leaving you to stare down at Seokjin.
âYou know, itâs really unbecoming for a girlfriend to keep finding girls in her boyfriendâs bed every other week and not be given an explanation, ever.â Your tone is teasing, but your eyes are taunting. âYou shouldnât always be so dismissive, you know? What if I start getting ideas? I donât think you even remember how to make up with your girlfriend, at this point, because I never fight.â
That is when Seokjin starts gawking. And literally doesnât stop until youâve left the house.
âI donât get it,â Jackson says, stuffing cold noodles into his mouth and chewing on them without closing it. âDo you think he cheated on you, or do you not think he cheated on you?â
You look at your best friend with your face twisted up in disgust. You swear to God you would never have agreed to make friends with this guy on your motherâs insistence when the Wang family moved in next doors to you, had you known heâd turn out to be such a barbarian a decade later. Twelve-year-old Jackson had been such a decent kidâstudious, elegant, well-mannered. What went wrong, along the way?
You exhale, shifting on your chair, very wary of any dried up fluids that you might come in contact with. âI know he did not cheat on me, Jax, the very notion is completely ridiculous.â
Jackson stops chewing and looks away from the WWE match playing on the TV to squint at you. âIâmâŚconfused? Wait. What is the problem, then? What are you mad at him for?â
To be completely honest, you arenât quite certain yourself.
But you do know that you donât feel good. And that this feeling has been building up over a couple months, but you have only really acknowledged it head-on, today, in all five-something years of your relationship. Five years, seven months and eight days, to be exact, but thatâs kinda besides the point.
Youâve had at least a few monthsâ worth of buildup that has gotten you to this point, you would admit. Especially after Seokjin had to cancel that visit to your hometown at the end of June, for your parentsâ thirty-fifth wedding anniversary celebration because he had an important audition for a big-brand ad film. The cancellation was acceptable, but his offhand comment that, âthirty-five isnât even that special, weâll get them a huge gift for their fiftieth,â stayed with you longer than it shouldâve. Things got okay-ish when you reminded yourself how Seokjin never really thought too hard about things he said, always being a humorous, unattached clown in every situation. But this morning's dismissal has pushed you over that edge. You straightaway goaded him, claiming he doesnât remember how to make it up to you, and all you got in response was his shock and being called âridiculousâ and âoverdramatic.â Fun.
You were most certainly joking, if a bit caustically, when you said what you did. He could have taken it as a joke and laughed it off. He could have taken it as a threat and comforted you, said it was Jimin that used his room, and maybe kissed you. You already knew what had happened when you saw the girl, anyway. But this was probably the third time this situation had happened, this month.Â
Sure, you are understanding and really do know Jimin and what all he gets up to, but is that really supposed to be such a given? Asking your boyfriend to hug you close and kiss your forehead when you discover a girl in his bed just as you were about to cuddle the lump of sheets thinking it was him, is not too much to expect, is it?
Granted, Seokjin has never been extremely expressive, but still. It feels like heâs consciously trying to keep you at a distance, these past few months.
You donât have the complete grasp of the storm of thoughts in your head yet, but you want to try and explain it to Jackson the best you can.Â
âIt was about respect, in a way, I guess,â you quietly mumble, and Jackson turns the TV off, now sitting cross legged on the couch to face your chair. He puts away his takeout container to frown at you, probably gleaning how serious this is for you. âHe stood there, without saying a single word, expecting me to stop being mad. Almost willing me to stop being mad by making these big, incredulous eyes at me. Like it was that horrible of his girlfriend to demand for an explanation when she found a girl in his bedroom. It was just the two of us, I wasnât making a scene in front of anybody. He justâugh! He couldâve simply asked me to not be mad, said it was Jimin who spent the night in the room and maybe even laughed about it, or plotted Jiminâs murderâI wouldâve joined inâbut no. He acted like I was being stupid, told me not be ridiculous and dramatic. And that made me feel really stupid.â
Jackson winces. âAnd why do you think you were not being stupid?â
You exhale. âI wasnât. Because I wasnât actually accusing him of anything, and five years down the lane, he should know that now. I just wanted him to say it and not scold me when I tease-taunted him. He always expects me to know everything. And even though I always do, it gets tiring sometimes. These weird thoughts get to you â that maybe youâre being too understanding and heâs using that to his advantage, you know?â You look down at your lap, playing with your nails. âItâs justâŚum. I wanted him to coddle me, I guess. To treat this as something big because I was throwing a tantrum about it and, just, I donât knowâtry to cajole me? Assuage me with his words, maybe? But he didnât. Because he hasnât done that in forever. Because I never need him to, because I always freaking understand everything!â A sob leaves you.
Jackson pats the place next to him. âCâmere, you dumdum, and stop hyperventilating,â he mumbles, hugging you to his side when you move to sit on the couch. âI donât exactly understand how the relationship dynamics work, but from what you told me, I get that you wanted attention? Some loving? And instead you got disappointed looks because Jin expected you to be mature and rational about it â the way you always are â and that too with his fucking eyes and some low-key insult words? Is it something like that?â
Wow, Jackson really paraphrased all that amazingly. âYes, actually. Itâs exactly that.â
Jackson sighs. âYâall have been together a long time, babe, so I guess itâs kind of a given that youâd get to a no-bullshit point. Which is why he hasnât done that in forever, because yâall probably donât need that kinda stuff between you anymore.â
âI get that, itâs how a relationship matures. But Iâm pretty certain that itâs not supposed to make me feel like this,â you sound slightly muffled, having stuffed your face into Jacksonâs hoodie-covered chest. âI feelâI feel like we got too comfortable and now heâs just started to take me for granted. And I also feel like Iâm being too needy. Am I being needy and annoying? Heâd hate me if I told him all this, wonât he? Half of the reason weâve worked out so well is because weâre both career oriented and donât waste time overthinking stupid shit.â You gasp. âOh, noâwould he leave me? Heâs used to his girlfriend being mature, not needyââ
You are cut off when Jackson pulls you away by your shoulders, giving you a serious look. âWait, wait, stop. What did you say? Not the needy part, youâre allowed to be needy once in all the damn three-sixty-five days yâall stay busy for. TheâŚtaking you for granted part. Pretty big of a thing to say, babe.â
You sigh. âWe havenât been on an actual date in months. Seokjin thinks thereâs no need for that extra effort when we spend lunch breaks at work together, everyday. Outside of the restaurant, our meetings involve our entire flock of friends by default. Itâs been three months since we slept together.â You sniff, hating having to impart such a private detail of your life. âSo no, I donât think itâs that big of a thing to say, at all.â
âWow.â Jackson gives a slow whistle. âYouâve really been bottling up a lot in there, huh?â
You shrug. âI guess. It never made me feel underappreciated, though. Sure, I was irritated at some occasions and disappointed at others, but⌠Today I feel horrible, Jax.â
âDid you share anything with Byulyi?â he asks, referring to your flatmate and good friend since college.
You shake your head. âShe already has a lot on her plate, right now. She got rejected by the photographer she wanted to intern with, so itâs back to freelancing for her.â
âYeah, that must suck.â Jackson grimaces. Then he looks at you. âYou need to take a break, hun. Sit back, today, and have tacos and beer with me. Reset your inner thoughts. Talk to Jin tomorrow. Although, I must say, itâs kinda depressing that you have to actually tell your boyfriend that heâs being a bad boyfriend. Isnât that kind of shit supposed to be realized on your own?â
You purse your lips. âI guess, yeah. ButâŚdonât say that heâs being a bad boyfriend, Jax. I donât think he even realizes something is wrong.â
âAnd thatâŚdoesnât make it worse?â At your raised eyebrows, he concedes with a roll of his eyes. âFine, fine, in any case â maybe try to hint at it before you dive straight in with the kill? See if he reacts?â
âI donât know, Jax. What if he doesnât? Heâs really not the best at taking hints and reading signs, or that kind of subtle stuff.â
âThen you can just say your shit. All Iâm saying is, give him a chance to figure it out on his own. Heâs probably really clueless why you reacted so big on something so small, this morning. If you drop hints, maybe heâll feel it out.â
You nod, somewhat amazed at how sound Jacksonâs advice seems. âHow are you doing this, Jax? Being a love guru all of a sudden?â
Jackson scoffs. âIâm just tryna put myself in Seokjinâs shoes. If I was in the situation heâs in, this is what Iâd like to happen â be given a window to figure out whatâs wrong. Youâve been together a long time, hun. It really shouldnât be that difficult for him.â
You shrug a shoulder. âI wonât be too sure about that. Why does it even matter if he can or cannot, though?â
Jackson seems to be mulling over something before he drops his chin to his chest. âBecause youâre supposed to be partners, hun. If you can tell whatâs up with him with a single glance, why can't he? Not being good at taking signs is not a good enough excuse. My gut says that heâd be able to, though. And that knowledge will make you feel infinitely better, trust me. Itâll be reassuring to learn that he really knows and understands you well, wonât it?â
You nod, slowly, but you still have your suspicions. Seokjin has just been the kind of guy whose emotional depth goes to a certain extent and then just â well, stops. There are things that he feels and realizes and sees, and there are things that he doesnât. It isnât even something he does, you believe. Itâs just how he is. Certain feelings just donât fall in his orbit. And youâve never found there to be anything wrong with it when heâs been an immaculately amazing boyfriend and tended to every single one of your needs, always. Well, you have never actually needed emotional consoling, too, so you havenât had the chance to audition him for that. You keep yourself too busy for all that unnecessary mental pressure. It comes as a surprise, but you have never cried on Seokjinâs shoulder in all these years of your togetherness. Youâve kept your head straight and chin up, even during your college exams. And so has Seokjin, because youâve never seen him cry, either.
Lately, though, things have been kind of weird. The gradual transformation into your professional lives that began after college, has been drastic in the past few months. Seokjin has been constantly prioritizing his career over you, and you have been understanding about it because you agree with it â to an extent. Seokjin believes it all the way through, though, and you have known for a while that you would hit your limit at some point, and would try to bring him back to yourself. Today morning, it seems, you hit that limit.Â
You felt dispensable.Â
You hate this feeling.
To be very honest, you know you can get over this. You can give it some time, remind yourself of how much your Jin loves you, believe that he is eventually going to come back to you once he settles, and be understanding about the entire thing.Â
You can â but you really donât want to.
Something tells you that this feeling of getting too comfortable will only fester and take a worse form as time goes by. You can wait it out, sure, and hope you arenât being a pushover as he works on building his career. You are building your career, too, after all, and at least some of it has been for each other.Â
The thing is, your plans with Seokjin are long-termâmarriage, kids, white-picket fence, and all that. And you believe that if you are sensing a problem now, you better deal with it now before it has the chance to change its form and affect you both when you are at a more responsible point in your life.
Mind made up, you look up at Jackson, immediately grimacing when he forwards a greasy hand to pick up a taco for you. âI donâtâŚI donât like tacos. And may I exchange the beer for scotch?â
âYou work at a Mexican restaurant, and you donât like tacos,â Jackson deadpans.
âThey mess up my skincare.â
âOh, fuck off! Have a spinach smoothie with a drink, why donât you?â
You purse your lips to hold back your laughter at his ire, your own worries forgotten in the moment as Jackson gets up to get you a glass of scotch and some healthier snacking alternative.
âYou're a dead man.â
Jimin stops dead in his tracks, arms frozen in the act of putting a t-shirt on. He blinks at Seokjin with big round eyes. âHyung?â he mumbles, a picture of unblemished innocence, especially when he covers his toned torso with the oversized t-shirt he was in the process of getting into. âWhatâwhatâd I do?â
Someone who doesnât know better would never believe that this young, innocent, frazzled haired fairy-boy could ever do any wrong. But Seokjin knows better. âYou chaotic womanizer,â Seokjin nearly hisses, "you've gotta learn to clean after yourself. Honey found a girl in my bed. A girlâin my bed.â
Jimin had the decency to drop the innocent act. âOh. Oh.â
Seokjin raises a brow. âOh? Thatâs it?â
"Yeah, well, I clarified to her that it was a one time thing when we got to it. She was obviously expecting something more if she didn't leave when I told her to. Disappointed but not surprised." Jimin is frowning when he comes to sit down on the couch next to Seokjin. âSorry you two had to see that. You clarified to Honey noona that Iâd been the occupant of the room, though, right?âÂ
âIâwhat?â Seokjin scoffs. âWhy would I even need to do that? She knows that already, obviously. Sheâs been seeing you for over five years, or have you forgotten?â
Jimin squints. âI meanâŚokay, fair point, I guess. Whyâre you so worked up, then? Did something else happen, too? Whereâs she, now?â Jimin looks around the living room as if looking for you.
Seokjin sighs. âWell, I couldn't really get much out before she was storming out of the damn house, altogether.â
Jimin blinks. âStorming out? Why? She⌠um, was she mad?"
Seokjin opens his mouth â and then shuts it. Was she mad, indeed. "I don't know. She looked kinda mad, yes. But maybe she was in a hurry?"Â
"Why would she be mad? Did you try to call her? Text her? It's unlike her to react so big on something so small." Jimin bites down on his lip, looking lost in thought.Â
Seokjin shakes his head. "She didn't pick up or text back."
âThereâs definitely got to be an underlying reason for her being like this. Are you sure you guys havenât been fighting, hyung?âÂ
Seokjin sighs. âYes, Jimin, Iâm absolutely certain that there hasnât been any fighting of any sorts between the two of us before today.â He pauses. âWell, she was slightly irritated that I didnât check her texts last night, but she knows I go to bed at eleven on days leading up to a shoot, so that oneâs on her.â
Jimin looks genuinely concerned, which, in turn, makes Seokjin concerned. Jimin isn't the type to stress over stuff if he can help it. Sure, he cares about the boys and would always be down to do whatever he can for them, but his throwing-caution-to-the-wind way of life causes him to not take most of the things in life seriously.
Youâve been like an older sister to the boys ever since Seokjin started dating you and introduced you to them. They all have their ways of showing their respect and affection to you. Well, maybe not Jungkook because he canât get over getting unnecessarily intimidated by Seokjin enough to relax around you.Â
Jimin, especially, always seems to be affected by any tension in Seokjinâs relationship. Everyone can see how it upsets his entire life when you two are fighting, although heâd never admit to it. He doesnât need to, because itâs pretty obvious when he becomes a cranky six-year-old who hates the world.Â
Right now, he has a guilty frown on his face. "I should've seen to it that Suzette left before I went to shower," he mumbles as if talking to himself. âShouldnât have trusted her to leave just because I told her to.â He looks up at Seokjin with troubled eyes. "I'm sorry, hyung."
Seokjin can not believe himself when he shakes his head at Jimin's apologyâthis little demon causes so much chaos in all their lives that any apology coming from him should be justified and welcome. But this one isn't really on him. "It's not entirely your fault."
Jimin's demeanor changes a bit and the attitude Seokjin is used to witnessing makes an appearance. "Right? That's what I was thinking, too!" Jimin exclaims, some of the concern on his face lifting. "You have to talk to Honey noona and make things right, though, hyung. Sheâs the only womanly touch in our man cave. Weâd all be barbarians without her.â Jimin looks very wary and kind of nervous.
âItâs funny you would crave her âwomanlyâ presence when sheâs rushed off because of a woman that you brought home.â Seokjin scrunches his nose. "And I said it isn't entirely on you, because it is partially on you, Park Jimin. You borrowed my room to smoke up in. Why couldn't you take your Suzy back to your own room?"
"Suzette," Jimin corrects under his breath while shaking his head. "Yeah, I should've, but⌠your room just felt like a better choice during the high," he finishes in a mumble, dragging a hand down his face. âHyung,â Jimin says with a pout on his lips, âthe last time you two fought was two years ago, remember? On your birthday? When Hobi hyung dumped cake in noonaâs hair and she had her first shoot for that bigshot magazine, the next day?â
Seokjin nods with a sigh. âShe yelled at me for having stupid friends, and I yelled at her for caring more about the shoot that having a good time on my birthday. Yes, I remember.â
âAnd then she didnât visit us for a whole week. Please donât let that happen, again.â Jimin looks up at Seokjin with big, round eyes. âI canât take that kind of unrest in my life."
Seokjin briefly wonders, if Jiminâs nightly conquests were to see this side of him, would they run in the opposite direction or be more attracted to him? Jimin definitely needs someone in his life that would bring out this side in him and stay to provide him the emotional comfort he requires when he gets like this.Â
âI will try not to, Jiminie, butâŚâ Seokjin shuts his eyes. âI seriously do not understand her actions from the morning,â he finishes in a mumble.
âMaybe sheâsâmaybe sheâs worried about something else? Some other aspect of her life?â Jimin suggests with wide eyes. âAnd sheâs just projecting onto you.â
âAs sound as the explanation is, I am literally involved in ninety percent of the aspects in her life,â Seokjin says with a twist to his lips. âI would know if something was wrong anywhere.â
âThatâs cocky of you to say,â Jimin snarkily comments with narrowed eyes. At Seokjinâs raised eyebrows, he amends, âThatâs cocky of you to say, hyung-nim.â
Seokjin scoffs, but then he shrugs his shoulders. âItâs true. We work at the same restaurant, weâre scouted by the same agency. Even her agent is best friends with mineâshe gossips a ton about how Honey passes up so many opportunities and pisses her agent off. Her friends are, wellââ Seokjin stops short when it hits him. âWang. Wang could know something!â
Jimin is looking at him skeptically when Seokjin meets the youngerâs eyes. âI just think you should have a simple talk with noona first before digging around.â
That is sensible advice. Seokjin nods as he pulls his phone out.
âJust find out whatâs been troubling her, hyung. You two are rational people, Iâm sure youâll work it out.â Jimin pauses to scratch the back of his head. âJust please donât let this be another fight like that one?â
âDonât worry,â Seokjin finally says with a pat on Jiminâs shoulder as he finishes sending off another text to you, âthis one is nothing like that fight.â
Turns out, this fight really is not like that one. Or any other fights Seokjin has ever had with you, in fact, because youâre giving him the silent treatment.Â
Youâve never given him the silent treatment.Â
Not even when you were students and didnât have a load of time on your hands and used to waste precious sleep hours arguing over stupid shit that would probably resolve itself if you just slept on it and looked back at it with a fresh state of mind. Not even then did you forego talking.
Needless to say, Seokjin is distressed.
You drive to the house to pick him up at your usual time, the next morning, after not having responded to any of his calls or texts for the entire day. Seokjin is aghast as he gets into the car.
âHoney! What is going on? Why didnât youâwhere have you been?â
You simply start the engine and take off. âBusy,â you murmur after a while.
Soekjinâs head is close to exploding. âBusy? Doing what?â
Your face remains stoic as you weave through the morning traffic. Seokjin looks at you. Youâre dressed up in your waitressing outfit that consists of a shirt, skirt and tights, and being who you are, Seokjin can proudly say that you would stand out to be the most well dressed server in the field. Youâre always pristine and tidy â no accidents happen to you at the job ever. No spillage of drinks or ketchups, no soiled hands being wiped down on your skirt. Nothing even ruins your manicure.Â
It is something that Seokjin has always tried to keep up with, this cleanliness streak of yours. Because he has always assumed you would expect it out of him, too. You were attracted to the cover model version of him, after all. It is quite natural that you would have those kinds of expectations. And Seokjin has always been more than happy to deliver. It has become a part of him, in fact. He doesn't even chew with his mouth open even when he's among the boys, anymore.
It has, somewhat, made him practical and less emotional in life, too, but he doesn't really think of it as a bad thing. You have always been practical in life â the most ambitious girl he has ever met, someone that has always prioritized her career and goals over everything else. Seokjin has admired that since college, and has tried to show you that he has similar priorities even if he has had to work on thinking from his mind more than his heart.
But when you are already by his side, what does he even need his heart for, anymore, when it's already yours?
Now, looking at you sitting with a morose expression on your face as you give him the cold shoulder, Seokjin is just as much in love with you as he was when he first met you.
âStuff,â you say with a shrug, after some extended silence. âYou should know about that, right? Your scheduleâs always busier than mine and I never complain.â
Your sharp words have him reeling. Whatever do you even mean by that? âUhm, okay. Fair enough. But⌠did you really not have the time to respond to a single text?â
âIt gets impossible sometimes, Jin, you know how it is.â
Seokjin frowns. He does know that, but he doesnât feel okay. Something is very off with you. It is as if youâre saying something else and expecting him to discern a different meaning out of it.Â
He doesnât understand why, though. You, of all people, should know how terrible he is at decoding signs.
He sighs.
Seokjin, after his conversation with Jimin yesterday, had decided to ask you about the morningâs incident, head on, whenever you called him back. But you didnât, and this is the first opportunity heâs had to talk to you, so he decides to bring it up, now. âWhatâwhat happened yesterday morning, babe? You got really mad and stormed off, and⌠I mean, youâve got to know the girl had been Jiminâs companion for the night, right? You know him, how he is!â
You say nothing, hands tightening a bit on the steering wheel. Seokjin looks down at his own hands.
âYou know I was only surprised at your words because we really do not have the time to be discussing silly things." He shuts his heart down when it tries to tell him to go soft. He knows it isn't something you would appreciate. "After five years, you know what Iâm capable of right? You can never start getting ideas, because that would be insane and stupid. Iâm already so supremely occupied as it is between two jobs, when would I even have the time to cheat, right?â he jokes, snorting to himself.
Youâre still quiet, but your tongue comes out to moisten your lips. It is a nervous tick of yours which Seokjin recognizes very well, because with your skincare and scheduled regular application of lip balms, your lips never need the extra moisture.
He frowns. Was he too straightforward? But this is exactly how you communicate with him! âHey, is everything okay, babe?â
You exhale, noisily. âEverythingâs fine, Jin,â you finally say with a roll of your eyes. âAnd youâre right. I know you wouldnât cheat. You donât have the time to chat me up, how are you gonna pick someone new to impress, huh?âÂ
Your snort sounds lacking in humor, but Seokjin still gives a couple of stilted chuckles. Even so, he's still somewhat relieved. âRight. Just so weâre certain, that was a joke, right? I mean, it would be really ridiculous of you to think that I wouldââ
âYes, Jin!â you cut him off with a deep frown. âIf I wanted to talk to you about something, or accuse you, or confront you â Iâd do that without you having to prompt me. Stop obsessing over yesterday and stop trying to explain yourself. I know it was Jiminâs doing.â
Seokjin feels immensely relaxed at the conviction with which you say the last sentence, certainly, but something is still off. âWhy were you ignoring me, then?â
âI just didnât have anything to say to you.â You stop at a red light, the last one before you reach the restaurant, and turn to look at Seokjin with really vacant eyes. He doesnât like your stare one bit. âWeâve been together five years, babe. If neither of us have got anything of significance to say, Iâd rather not text too much, if thatâs okay with you? Iâve got a busy schedule to work around, too, you know?â
Seokjin wants to remind you that both of you had something of significance to say after you left his place in anger, but chooses to just roll with whatever youâre playing at. Maybe he's thinking too much. He nods. âSounds alright to me.â
âGreat,â you breathe out, somehow looking disappointed along with the preexisting sorrowful expression you had on your face.
You really do not have a concrete explanation for why you acted the way you did with Seokjin, this morning.Â
You were supposed to hint at being mad, not blatantly try to give him a taste of his own medicine. It could turn out to be a good thing if he eventually starts to miss you and reaches out, sure, but playing mind games never feels right to you. But when he started to joke about not having time to cheat, and something just turned off in you. He really couldâve seriously reassured you of his love. That wouldâve been actually comforting. But no. He chose to joke about that, too. You didnât feel like putting in all that energy anymore, after that.
Now, you sit down in the break room to check your phone during your ten minutesâ rest break. A text message floats at the top of your notifications.
Jax đ˝ Hey Howâd it go?
With an exhale, you decide to call him back. Your fingers are too tired to type, and Jackson is sure to launch off into a rampage of texts the moment you tell him youâve tried to turn the tables on Seokjin.
Seokjin is in the kitchen, his usual rest break not being for another hour, so you donât have to worry about him walking in.
âHey!â Jackson jovially greets you as soon as he picks the phone. âDid you get my text?â
âI did, yes,â you respond in a calm voice. âIâve been looping milkshake mugs through my fingers since eight am, they needed some rest, so I decided to call.â
âYeah, no, itâs cool. I was in a really boring class, anyway. So. How'd it go?"
You pull in your lip between your teeth. "I⌠I kinda ended up telling him I am a busy person too and that we shouldnât text that much."
You hear silence instead of the outburst you'd expected.Â
"Jax?"
"Are you actually gonna try to play a mind game with the dumbest human being you know on earth?" Jackson so very eloquently asks, his interpretation making you pinch the bridge of your nose. âHeâs never even gonna figure it out!â
âI know how it sounds, okay?â You exhale. âI honestly donât know what came over me.â
âOkay, alright, one thing at a time. So, no coddling?"
"Not a single soft word. Just more expectations of me understanding, and claiming that anything but that would be stupid of me. He acts like I'm supposed to know everything about him and everyone in his group of friends," you mutter in irritation. âAs if those dumbasses know the first thing about themselves.â
You realize you're being a bit harsh, because his friends â basically your younger brothers, at this point â are a bunch of clueless idiots that love, adore and respect you. You shouldn't be badmouthing them, Seokjinâs growing callousness towards you isn't their doing. It's his own.Â
You sigh. You really miss how things used to be when you were in college.
âUh, I think we need to rewind a bit. What happened? What triggered this?â
It makes you smile a little when Jackson asks that. At least your best knows youâre not wholly clinically insane. âWell⌠I drove him to work. HeâŚ" your brows lower at the recollection, "he was the first to bring up yesterday morning. And yet again, he gave me the same you've got to know this and that crap, and then he tried to assure me in the dumbest possible way. Do you know what he said, Jax, do you?â
âUm, do I wanna know?â
âHe said, and I quote, he doesnât have the time to cheat. Jackson Wang, are you hearing this? He really straight up said he was too busy to cheat on me and so I should rest assured! Who says that?!â
âHe mustâve meant it as a jokeââ
âYeah, he said that, too, and then very immaculately added that itâd be ridiculous of me to think otherwise. I have lost count of how many times the words ridiculous and stupid came up.â
âGoddammit.â
âGoddammit is right,â you mumble, morosely resting your head on your palm.
âWhat did he say, by the way? When you told him to text less?â
You give a wry chuckle. "Well, he said it sounded alright to him."
"Son of a bitch. You â you two are messed up, man. Messed up bad. Why the hell can you not just say shit you really mean and actually want to instead of saying shit you don't? You don't wanna text less because you're busy, you want him to dote on you because you miss him!" Jackson sounds beyond frustrated. "And it doesn't fucking sound alright to him! It sounds scary, it sounds confusing, it sounds like something you would never say to him!" He groans. "But none of you would say that shit to each other! Youâre choosing to be evasive and fucking plastic instead of honest, and falling deeper into your mess."
You reel from the onslaught of his harsh words, eyes widened and breath stuttering. Jackson isn't usually the type to pay so much attention to your relationship problems. But this time, you guess, he has garnered the depth of your unhappiness and thus has gotten so involved.
You realize he is right. Nothing good can come out of any turned tables, because Seokjin is, anyways, not even going to be able to work out the problem by himself. He may even go around talking to his friends about how you were being cold with him and not giving him any time, and still not realize he has been doing the same to you. He is thick like that.Â
When his friends tell you tales of his compassion, you're unable to relate. You've never seen that side of him. He has probably grown up from that emotionally overwhelmed high school graduate who had made friends on a whim, the night of his graduation.
You certainly don't appreciate the emotional abstinence, though, and would very much rather prefer if he would open up a bit more. It would help you be more open with him, without fearing him calling you "stupid" in response.
But itâs still alright, you accept him with that thick brain of his, because heâs still only ever going to be the only one for you.
"How are you two gonna get around to having a proper chat if you just keep building more walls between you both?" Jackson asks after the long pause from your end, this time softer. âIâm sorry, babe, I was wrong. Giving him signs and making him realize shit wonât work. It was stupid of me to suggest that. Itâs probably why you ended up being so caustic with him.
âNo, no, it was all me, Jax. I couldâve chosen to not listen to you, but my ego got in the way, I guess. Itâs not exactly easy, telling your boyfriend youâre feeling neglected. I mean, what if he laughs in my face and tells me Iâm being paranoid? What if he thinks I have no regard for his career â or mine â because my priorities donât align with his?â You bite your lip, shutting your eyes as your insecurities attack you.
âHey, no. None of that is gonna happen if you really share with him what youâve been feeling. No hints, no sarcasm, youâre gonna have to tell him point blank. Allow yourself to be raw. Heâs the love of your life. You donât have to protect yourself from him, right?â
You sigh. âYeah, I know. Youâre absolutely right, Jax. But I really have no idea how to even approach him, at this point. Heâs either too busy with shoots, or with the guys, or some meeting. I cannot do this on call, because that always leads to misunderstandings.â You bite down on your lower lip, contemplating. âBut Iâll figure something out.â
"Yes, you will. You always do. So, thatâs good then. In the meanwhile, can you at least clean up this latest pile of poop? The talking less thingy is gonna make you two more distant, hun."
You scrunch your nose at his metaphor, but then your shoulders slump. "I don't know, Jackson. The way he so impassively agreed to it would make me sound really stupid if I take it back. And given what he keeps saying, he really doesnât want me to sound stupid."
Jackson gives a snort at that. âHah, funny. But listen. At the end of the day, heâs your boyfriend. You're gonna have to really decide if you're trying to get your boyfriend to give you more love, or if you're fighting a battle of egos and would like to bend him to you."
You bite your lip. âYou make me sound manipulative.â
âYou yourself confessed you let your ego come into this, one time. Donât let that happen again. Iâm trying to make you realize that complicated problems can have simple solutions, too. If only youâd communicate. Just talk to him soon, please, and make him understand why youâre hurt. Donât carry on with this stupid cold war, okay? You gotta figure out exactly what you want, first.â
âYou know what I want, Jax. Youâre literally the only person that does, actually,â you remind him with a sigh.
âOh, he is, isnât he?â
You freeze, eyes bulging at the familiar voice. âIâll⌠Iâll call you back,â you mumble before you disconnect the call and turn to look over your shoulder at Seokjinâs unreadable face. He stands with his arms crossed, still in his uniform but without the apron. âJin⌠whatâuhâŚâ
âWhat am I doing here?â he scoffs, lips curling in distaste as he stares you down. âWell, I was going to the loo when I saw you sitting here. You looked upset, so I thought Iâd check in on you on my way back.â He clicks his tongue, a dry chuckle tumbling out. âBut apparently, youâve got other people doing it for you, already.â
You wince, shutting your eyes. The one time he was finally going to give you some much needed attention â you sent a bad message his way.Â
âSo. Good to know there actually is someone who knows what you want. Wouldâve been easier if it were me, though, given how I stand to be the one that is to deliver.â Seokjin sounds pissed off, and despite your irritation, you really want to make him understand.
You rub at your forehead. âStop talking like that, Jin, it was just Jackson.â
âWang?â He seems to seethe more, for some reason. âOf course, itâs fucking Wang!â
You frown, standing up. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
Seokjin looks at you incredulously. âYouâdo you not see how this looks? You have problems with me, Honey, but you choose to discuss them with him? Whoâs he, your therapist?â
âHeâs my best friend, Jin, someone I trust,â you grit out.
Seokjin seems to take it the wrong way, his agitated expressions slowly fading into a blank stare. âOh. You trust him, as opposed toâŚâ He trails off with a shrug, but the implication is as obvious as it can be.
âJinââ
He raises a hand up, palm facing you as he looks away. âIf you need some time apart, you should tell me in plain words. You know Iâm not good at reading signs.â
Seokjin gives you a blank stare before turning around to leave the area. You stand rooted to your place, jaw dropped and eyes wide.
Some time apart? Has he lost his mind?Â
He really is a huge freaking idiot who cannot pause to think what implications his words have. He seriously doesnât recognize what all his âdonât be ridiculous/overdramatic/stupidâ speeches do to you. You realize you should really make him understand. This has gone on for way too long.
But maybe you should take some time to yourself to cool off before that. You donât want to say the wrong thing in your rage and complicate things further.
You sigh to yourself as you slump back into the bench you were sat on before.
Youâd set out to tell your boyfriend you were feeling neglected, but you ended up making him think you want to be apart. How the heck did you get here?
You belatedly recall Jackson's words.
Why the hell can you not just say shit you really mean and actually want to instead of saying shit you don't?
Youâre choosing to be evasive and fucking plastic instead of honest, and falling deeper into your mess.
Your usually dumbheaded best friend was right on this one, you realize. You shouldâve just talked like a normal human being instead of letting Seokjinâs words get to you and get pissy in retaliation.
You give a weary sigh.Â
Seokjin is grateful for the sudden busyness heâs got on his schedule, or he would explode from all the pent up frustration you have been causing him.Â
He realized he wasnât as upset with you as he was irritated, right after he walked away from you on Monday. He dropped you a text with some excuse of needing to stay back so that he wasnât forced to ride with you in the car again, and later took the bus home.Â
You had told Jackson Wang about what was troubling you, but not him. It made Seokjin feel upset, incompetent and more than a little insecure. Seokjin absolutely hates feeling insecure. Especially about you. Youâre the singular most precious entity in his life â not that you are an entity, per se â and anything that seeks to threaten your position in his life or his position in yours, makes him lose his shit.
So it was understandable that he jumped to unfairly disproportionate magnitudes of conclusions that day. When he thought about it, later, he could easily tell that you are just mad at him and not actually contemplating leaving him, not even for a little while. Not that heâd just sit back and have you do that so easily.
Seokjin also hates overthinking, but that is all he did for the entirety of his Monday.Â
Monday, though, was the last time he had time to overthink. Life got exponentially busier after that.
Immediately after his shoot on Tuesday, he received his agentâs call and was informed of his jam packed schedule for the remainder of the week. He was pulled into two separate magazine ad shoots on Wednesday, a perfume ad film drank up all of his Thursday, and today, a hair product ad film needed him to report to a sunrise point in the city at the ass-crack of dawn. The sky was still dark when he rode across the city with his agent at nearly four in the morning.Â
And now, the afternoon sun beats down on his car as he drives back alone, his agent staying back to tend to some business. Stopping at a red light, he reaches for his spinach smoothie with one hand and his phone with the other. Ugh, he feels beyond tired.
Blearily, he looks down at the device around a yawn, fingers habitually reaching for your chat.
He took a week off from the restaurant and dropped you a text, late Tuesday evening, informing you of the same.
Honeyâ¨â¤đ¸ Hm, kay. Good luck x
Unsurprisingly, that stands to be your last message in his inbox. Itâs been four days.
Sighing, he swipes a hand down his tired face and exits out of the message app. He went to bed at nine oâclock, last night, and owing to the way he has trained his body to sleep on command, he did manage to get a sleep of nearly six hours, too. But it was fitful and plagued with nightmares featuring you.Â
Knowing he doesn't have to be at the restaurant until Monday and that his next gig isnât until Wednesday, he cannot wait to get back home and drink his weight in alcohol before he sleeps his way through the weekend.
Just as he has moved past the intersection, his phone rings.Â
Honeyâ¨â¤đ¸ calling...
He nearly spits the smoothie he just sipped at.
Coughing, he roughly jostles the plastic cup back in the holder and pulls up to a side of the road to pick up the call. âHey,â he breathes into the phone, embarrassed at his desperation.
âJin. Um, hi.â You sound awkward, as if youâŚhave been compelled to call him due to some reason.
He is immediately worried. âHoney? Is everything okay, do you need something?â
He hates himself for being so concerned when you have been neglecting him for so many days â yet again, despite your spat at the restaurant â instead of finally talking to him about whatâs bothering you, but he canât help it. At the end of the day, you are the love of his life.Â
âYes, yes, Iâm okay. Itâs just, um. Can you pick me up from the restaurant?â you sound nervous.
But, Seokjin realizes, I was right. You do need something. He clears his throat. âUh, okay, I guess,â he agrees before stopping short when he realizes the time. âWait, itâs barely even two. Why are you leaving?â he asks, confused and a little concerned. You work your shift till five every day and till eight on weekends.
âTomorrow is Halloween, Jin. Weâre closing for the weekend, remember?â
Seokjinâs mouth falls open on a gasp. He really had forgotten. âOh. Oh, okay. Yeah, Iâll be there in five, wait up.â
He swerves the car into the lane and takes off in the direction of the restaurant.Â
He laughs at himself. He has been so caught up in work that he literally forgot Halloween. He wonders if this is what actual adulting is.
He is stopping before the restaurant within three minutes of your phone call, eyes immediately spotting your delicate figure standing on the sidewalk with your hands crossed against your chest.
You step down from the curb when you spot his car, and walk towards him. He watches your elegant legs as they beautifully fall in a straight line. Even when exiting your job as a waitress, youâre every bit the elegant model he met in college. Your hips sway tantalizingly, and something akin to longing swirls in his chest.
He composes himself quickly when you cross the car to get into the passengerâs seat. You awkwardly clear your throat as Seokjin busies himself with starting the vehicle, unsure if he should initiate conversation.
âUm, sorry about this. You were probably getting ready for shoot,â you finally say. âByulyi dropped me off today. She wasnât picking her phone up. I was trying to get a cab for half an hour. And the bus stopâs really farââ
âHey, stop. Itâs okay. You shouldâve called me sooner.â Seokjin catches your apprehensive gaze on his oversized hoodie when he chances a glance at you. He sighs. âI was returning home from shoot, actually.â
He feels you stiffen, and he feels even more mentally drained at this. You used to be updated with his schedule to the tee â just short of having an actual copy of the calendar his agent carries on him. And the same goes for him with your schedule. This feels so wrong.
You are quiet for a while, your hands fidgeting in his peripheral vision.
âHowâhow was it?â you finally say, voice coming out like a croak.
Seokjin shrugs his shoulders. âThe usual. Blinding, tiring, exhaustive. I did okay, I guess.â
He feels your gaze snap up to drill holes into his skull. Your eyes are wide when he checks. âOkay? Since when do you do anything less than amazing at shoots, babe?â
He feels endeared at your casual use of a pet name. âI had to get up at three in the morning and go through a skincare routine. Then drive across the entire city to get to the location, because they wanted to capture actual sunrise. I was more tired than excited by the time they rolled cameras, so.â He shrugs. âCanât really say I gave my best today.â
You nod at his admission.Â
Seokjin almost jumps when his phone rings, again.
Jiminie calling...
He feels you shift in your seat. His mouth sours at the reminder of that Sue girl that started off this entire tussle between you and him. Fucking Jimin and his conquests. What happened to the shy and more than a little glum looking freshman he let into his living space, three years ago?
Your hand suddenly reaches forth to accept the call, putting it on loudspeaker, immediately. Seokjin gapes at you, momentarily looking away from the road.Â
âUhâŚhyung?â Jiminâs confused voice echoes in the car.Â
Seokjin snaps out of his daze when you gesture towards the device. âWhâJimin, hi, whatâs â whatâs up?â he stumbles his way through a haphazard greeting.
âHyung, I needed a favor. Are you on your way back from the shoot, right now?â Jimin asks, and Seokjin sees you freeze in your seat.
He feels a perverse sense of satisfaction. Yes, take that! Park Jmin knows of my schedule better than you do! This is what you get for ghosting me! âI was, yeah. What is it?â
âOh, great! I kinda need your help, hyung. My tire gave out. Could you pick me up from the Kappa hall?â
Seokjin scowls. âYah! Who am I, your butler? Hop on a damn bus!â
He notices you pursing your lips, no doubt finding his agitation humorous â you always do.Â
âHyu~ng,â Jimin whines. âI would take the bus, but the next one leaves in forty-five minutes and I need to be back within an hour!â
âWhat? Why?â
âI started on my sem project really late, hyung, and now I gotta spend any time I can spare at the rehearsal hall. Iâm meeting a choreographer here in an hour. Please help me out!â Jimin is still whining, and maybe his reasoning is kind of alright, butâ
Seokjin is tired to his bones. He literally cannot drive all the way down to your apartment and then drive back to the university campus to pick Jimin up.
He sighs, wearily. âJimin⌠Iâm really tired.âÂ
âAnd Iâm really desperate, hyung! Dancing is tough! And the subject I've chosen, tougher. I haven't done ballet since first semester, Freshman year! I have to work my butt off and be done in under two months."
Seokjin exhales, feeling beyond exhausted. But then your finger is tapping on the screen and the call has been muted. Seokjinâs surprised eyes fly up to meet yours. You look conflicted, biting down on your lower lip as you shake your head with a frown.
âYou should go home and rest, Jin. Leave the car with me, Iâll pick him up.â
âHyung? Say something?â
Seokjin blinks. âYouâŚâ
You roll your eyes. âIâll pick him up, yeah. Heâll drop me off and drive back to your place.â
âHyung?! Did you put me on mute, or what? I can't hear a thing!â
âTell him youâll be there in ten!â you say, unmuting the call.
âIâm in the car, the network must have glitched. Iâll, uh⌠be there in ten?â Seokjin nervously finishes off, looking at you in question. You give him a nod, blinking slowly. âWait up, okay?â
âOh my God, thank you so much, hyung!â Jimin practically squeals through the phone. âIâll be in the ice cream shop across the building. I love you, hyung-nim!â
Seokjin rolls his eyes and disconnects the call. He looks at you from the corner of his eyes as he takes a right, now moving in the direction of his apartment instead of yours. âYou sure about this? Jimin, um, knows. About ourâŚâ Seokjin doesnât want to call it the f-word, because he would like to believe that you two arenât actually fighting. âYou being upset, I mean,â he settles for the easier alternative. âHe might ask questions.â
You give a small huff of wry laugh. âI can handle it, Seokjin. Iâve known Jimin for almost three years now.â
Seokjin doesnât like it when you address him by his full name. And so, his lips remain pursed for the remainder of the ride, only parting to tell you to âdrive safe and text me when you finally get home,â and then he walks inside his apartment without looking back.
He hears his car come to life and then speed away. He shuts his eyes, leaning against the kitchen counter. Gathering his emotional as well as physical bearings, he opens the refrigerator to rummage through some leftovers to munch on while he breaks out a six pack of Budweiser.Â
Before his fried rice has even reheated, Seokjin groans at the sight of an all too jovial Hoseok entering the kitchen with a glint in his eyes. âNo, Hobi. Not now.â
âWhat? I didnât say a word, hyung!â
Seokjin winces, shutting his eyes just as the microwave beeps. âI donât have enough energy to deal with your general aura, right now,â he mumbles, extracting the piping hot glass bowl. He leans down to open one of the compartments beneath the kitchen table to get to the beer that heâs been dreaming of for nearly an hour, now. âIâm dead on my feet andâwoah!â Seokjin gasps, cutting himself off.
Hoseok hops into the kitchen, coming around to stand behind Seokjin. âSo you found âem,â he says around a chuckle.
âFound âem? This is you?â Seokjin whips his head around to glare at Hoseok up from his crouch. âWhy is my liquor closet resembling a liquor shop, Hobi? Why do we have all thisââ he turns around to read the labels, cursing under his breath. âWhy do we have,â he pauses to count, âfive bottles of Tequila and eight bottles of Vodka?â
Hoseok frowns in concern. âEight? There should be ten, hyung, check again.â
Seokjin actually gasps, this time. âWhat the hell, Jung Hoseok? Explain yourself before I start throwing hands!â
Hoseok smacks a palm against his forehead, taking Seokjin by surprise, yet again. âTonightâs the Halloween party, hyung! Did you actually forget?â
Seokjin screws his eyes shut, letting his head roll back with a frustrated whine. âNo~o, donât tell me it's tonight. Halloweenâs tomorrow, right? Why is the party tonight?â
âYes, hyung, Halloween in tomorrow, which is why it would be stupid to hold the party when Halloween is ending.â
Seokjin finds the logic to be very severely flawed, but his energy is draining out fast and he cannot keep up with this quarrel. Thereâs no point, anyway. Heâs known about this party for nearly a month. And Hoseok isnât going to postpone a whole party just because Seokjin is tired.
âYou look tired, hyung. You should rest. Recharge yourself before the party, okay? Thereâs plenty of time.â Hoseok pats Seokjin on the shoulder with a kind smile.
âIâm not even in the mood to party, Hobi,â Seokjin mutters, reaching behind all the glass bottles to extract his pack of cans.Â
Hoseok scowls at Seokjin. âBecause youâre upset about your fight, I realize that. All the more reason to party, hyung! Take your mind off it for some time, why donât you? You donât even have to dress up, come as yourself.â
âIâd rather just drink myself to sleep and not wake up for the next twenty four hours.â
Hoseok blocks his path as Seokjin moves to exit the kitchen. âIs Honey coming?â
Seokjin sighs, shrugging his shoulders. âI donât know, Hobi. Did you invite her?â
âNo, hyung, because you said you would.â
Seokjin clicks his tongue. He completely forgot. âThen she isnât coming.â
Without listening to his protests, Seokjin trudges upstairs with his food and beer. He will be forced to come down for at least a couple shots, he is certain, so he better make as much of the time he has on his hands as he can.
These days, it seems to be becoming a pattern for you to do things without really understanding why you do them.Â
You nibble at your bottom lip as you recall how gaunt and pale Seokjin had looked when you sat in the car. You had been really self-centered as it is, not really keeping in touch with him for four days, and then reaching out when you needed help. You couldnât bear to think, on top of everything, that he had driven you home despite his extreme exhaustion while you sat back selfishly and let him drive around the city to pick Jimin up when he looked like a ghost.
You shake your head at yourself as Jimin jogs down the road to enter the car, ten seconds after you texted him.Â
His gaze is slightly hesitant when he meets your eyes, even though his smile is nothing but genuine. âHello, noona. How come you areâŚâ he trails off, gesturing around the two of you.
You start the car, shrugging one shoulder. âSeokjin came to pick me up. Now youâre gonna drop me off.â
Jimin gives you a huge smile, before his eyebrows suddenly lower. You look away, veering onto the road. âWait. Were you in the car with him when I called?â
You chuckle. âYes.â
âOh,â Jimin mumbles around a small laugh.
You hum to yourself as you drive, distracting yourself from the thoughts that keep encircling your head. Seokjin is your boyfriend, no matter how mad you might be at him â you love him and care about him. Which is why you have tried to help him out. Not to mention, you felt slightly guilty, as it is, about calling him to pick you up. Why is your gesture of goodwill bothering you, then?
This is what you do for people you care about. Seokjin would do the same.
Your train of thoughts suddenly comes to a screeching halt.
Would he? Would he, really?
âYou okay, noona?â
You jolt back from your thoughts, wide eyes turning to look at Jimin. âWhaâyes, yeah, I'm fine.â
He cocks an eyebrow at you. âYouâre gripping the wheel really hard.â
You look at your tightly clenched fists, and immediately ease them. âOh, uh. Sorry. A lot on my mind, I guess.â
âUnderstandably,â Jimin mutters, looking out of the side window when you turn to look at him.
You purse your lips and press down on the accelerator.Â
A few beats of silence pass between you two before Jimin clears his throat. âCan I say something?â he asks you in a soft voice, looking nothing like the seductive persona he puts forth to get ladies falling in his bed.Â
You exhale. âSure.â
âYou, um. You are not just hyungâs girlfriend, you know?â he says slowly.
You scoff. âOf course, I do. I am also the very best server my restaurant has ever seen and the best struggling model youâll ever meet, on the side.â
Jimin snorts, before giggling with his eyes closed. âYou know thatâs not what I meant.â
You do. But you do not want to face it. You want to be selfish, for once. You do absolutely know that you have been ignoring all the boys in your anger at Seokjin, but you absolutely do not wish to do anything about it. Not until youâve resolved this tense air between you and Seokjin.
âYou are also a part of our little family,â Jimin quietly finishes.
You suck your lips in at that. The word âfamily'' really gets to you.Â
Heâs right, isnât he?Â
All eight of you â well, nine, now, with the addition of Taehyungâs girlfriend â have been a family since the day you met these guys.
You smile as the memories start to filter in.
You had had a giant crush on Seokjin since the very first time you saw him in your Freshman year. Well, having a crush on the guy wasnât that unheard of given how handsome he was. It also helped matters that he modelled for the cover page of your universityâs journal within his first month in college. What surprised you was his reciprocated interest when you both finally got to know each other, thanks to Byulyi. Your current roommate was majoring in photography back then, and somehow roped the two of you into modelling for her portfolio. Seokjin asked you out during the sixth month of your Freshman year.
You recall being introduced to Yoongi in your Sophomore year, when he entered your college as a Music major. You found him laid back, calm but really sassy, and fun to be around. The three of you often hung out together, and you took immense pleasure in singling Seokjin out with the two of your sarcastic back and forths.
In your senior year, Hoseok transferred to your college as a Sophomore, and Taehyung and Jimin entered as Freshmen.Â
Hoseok was literally the most lively person youâd ever met in your life. There wasnât a single moment of boredom next to him. He was easily given the responsibility of planning all your outings and parties, henceforth â a position he still holds with full competence.
Taehyung was usually found to be lost in his head more often than not in his initial college days. He was confused about his major for two entire semesters. With inputs from the group, when he eventually picked Art, he eased into college life. After that, he came out to be one of the weirdest and unwittingly funny guys in the group. You still donât get how he was the first amongst all the boys to find him a girl.
Jimin was a really quiet and reserved individual, at first. He very rarely interacted with you all, choosing to stay holed up in his dorm room, instead, that Taehyung had forced him to share with him. You suspected he was recovering from a recent heartbreak. It became evident when he started dating someone within a week of getting into college, only to confess it was a rebound when he got dumped. The whoring around that began after the whole debacle is yet to cease, though. Obviously.Â
Hoseok comes from a really well-off family, and had brought along with him the four-bedroom apartment he currently resides in with Yoongi, Jimin and your boyfriend. His uncle gave it away to him, rent-free of course, and he proposed to share it with the rest of the guys. Seokjin and Yoongi were immediately on board, more than eager to leave the chaotic dorm life behind. Taehyung, contrarily, decided he wanted to get the whole college experience and refused to quit the dorms. Jimin, then, left the dorm he shared with Taehyung to move in with the elders.
You met Jungkook immediately after your graduation on the boyâs eighteenth birthday. He instantly struck you as a smart kid, really good at singing as well as art. Yoongi disclosed he wanted to be a music major in your college, and you tried to encourage Jungkook about it, but the guy could hardly even look at you. It was cute but also hilarious how much he was scared of Seokjin, and by principle, you.
You believe that is still true. Now that you think about it, you're pretty sure you havenât seen Jungkook ever actually relax around the two of you.
âNoona?â
You blink, coming back to the present as Jimin calls out to you. You take a deep breath, the memories hitting you with tender emotions. All these people are really precious to you, arenât they? The bunch of you really are a family, arenât you?
A sad smile swims up to your face. You miss the boys.
When he calls again, you turn to look at Jimin, questioningly.Â
âPlease donât be mad at hyung,â he slowly says, looking down at his lap. In this moment, he looks quite unlike the Jimin you are used to and reminds you of, instead, the one youâd first met. âHe might lack tact, sometimes, but he really loves you a lot. Youâre his whole world. Whatever it is that you are angry about, you should tell him about it. I donât think he would be able to figure it out by himself.â
This, you agree with. âIâll try, Jiminie.â
âWe all miss you. Especially Hobi hyung and I,â he says with a lopsided excuse of a smile.Â
You resist the urge to fluff his hair. Jimin and Hoseok have been like the younger brothers you never had. You miss them, too.Â
He suddenly chuckles. "And Yoongi hyung hides it well, but I think he's the one that misses you the most. No one helps him roast Jin hyung quite like you do."
You roll your eyes. "Of course not. It's a waste for Yoongi to even try to find a better partner at roasting Jin."
You spot your apartment building and pull up to it.Â
âIâll try to talk to Jin as soon as I can, Jimin, I promise. Don't worry so much about it,â you say as you step out, patting the boy once on his head. "I miss you all, too."
You give a small wave and faint smile to him as he drives away.

billy hargrove masterlist
"Thereâs a party at Tinaâs tonightâ, you muttered after disconnecting your lips from Billyâs, who had been more than happy on your make-out session in the parking lot of Hawkins High.Â
You fluttered your eyes to watch your hot, hot, boyfriend who was perfectly placed between your legs while he kissed you softly. You werenât sure how Billy kept his glowing tan all year long, especially in Hawkins but you loved how it combined with his blue electric eyes that pierced you every time he watched you. You removed some of the blonde locks falling on his forehead and placed another kiss on his full lips.Â
Sometimes you didnât know how you managed to snatch him.Â
He sighed, âI heard, are you sure you want to go?â, he groaned as he tried to chase your lips once more but you stopped him as you jumped from the hood of the blue Camaro.Â
âWhen does Billy Hargrove rejects a party?â, you asked while raising your brows. You picked up your bag from the floor and began fixing your skirt and sweater, you had to be ready for the debate team meeting while he rolled his eyes.Â
You smiled but you turned around as you heard a couple of girls from Billyâs friend group nattering about you from afar as they saw Billy pulling you in once more for another kiss.Â
See, how could you even start to recount your relationship with Billy Hargrove? it was hard. Not because it was a difficult relationship, but because you two seemed so different from the outside that sometimes people didnât even believe that you had lasted so long in the first place. Billy and you had been going strong for over eight months now and it felt like you were on cloud nine.Â
He was mesmerized by you since his first day of school, he wasted no time in asking you for a date -to the disapproval of his new gang and the dismay of most of the girls at the school- you were elated by it but you said that he needed to do a lot more if he wanted you to say yes. It wasnât that you werenât oblivious to Billyâs charm but you knew his type and he was definitely not on yours.Â
Billy didnât seem more than an aggressive jog and you bore those type of guys, they werenât stimulating and you had learned to value yourself and your time, more than anything else. So, it took Billy time -with a lot of rejected attempts and multiple pairings on classes- to actually get a yes from you.Â
And so, you had come to learn that Billy Hargrove was more than he showed and it hit you to the core because you did the same. They were just different acts, both of you were familiar with the fact that people liked to put tags on others, to label them and keep them in a box, they liked making you one dimensional for them to feel comforted in a stupid status quo. And both of you followed swiftly because sometimes is easier to play a role than to be yourself, itâs easier to make people believe you are one thing. Sometimes it was easier to be just a good girl and sometimes it was easier to be just a bully, but you werenât that and neither was Billy.Â
Billy Hargrove wore his heart on his sleeve and no one had noticed that, you instead kept it locked in a safe to survive and no one had noticed that.Â
But Billy noticed your lock and you noticed his sleeve, he understood you and you understood him.Â
After hours or even whole nights talking to each other, laughing, even crying you finally agreed to go out with him.Â
âI always want to do whatever you want to doâ, he whispered to your lips as he pressed quick pecks. You sighed into his lips; eyes closed in bliss as his lips touched yours. âPick you at nine?â
You smiled as you heard him and your lips now were chasing his.Â
âŚ
âSee you in an hour or so?â, you asked as you opened the door for Tinaâs house, Billy was behind you. Both of you were analyzing the scene in front of you.Â
There were a lot of people, far more than what you were expecting but it was the last Friday before Thanksgiving break so you kinda got it. Many of the kids that went away for college were coming back to see their families and since Tinaâs parties were always a staple of Hawkins High, you knew most of them wouldnât miss it. So, there it was: an ocean of sweaty and drunk teenagers and young adults having fun and blasting music. Â
You turned around to see a frown on Billyâs face as he saw the scene while you rolled your eyes. You didnât really know why he was so opposed to partying when he was always down for any type of rave.Â
See, although both of you were so similar in many senses, it wasnât at all the case when you were partying. Billy was the type of guy who liked the attention, he craved it and he found it most of the time in senseless partying. While you, you were the type of girl who liked to be lowkey about your presence at a party, if you had the attention it was from your amazing dancing skills. Otherwise, you liked to spend your parties taking a few shots, dancing, and talking to your friends; nothing more and nothing less. Billy, instead, liked to do his keg stands and playing games, getting a bit more than tipsy.Â
Most of the time you were together months of your relationship you both had made sacrifices, sometimes Billy wouldnât do his normal circus act so he could be in a more calm conversation with you, and sometimes you had decided to cheer him when he was doing his keg stands or accomplishing the dares his stupid friends wanted him to do.
And it was fine, except for the fact that you had exploded one Monday a few months ago when you heard the rumors about the past party, especially the rumor about the âQueen of Hawkinsâ and how everyone was beginning to think that you were nothing more than a pretty thing that Billy wore around his arm, an accessory. You hated it, you hated it so much that you had ended up ranting about it to Billy who had been patient and listened to every single word without saying much.Â
âIâm fucking captain of the debate team, since when Iâm an accessory?â, âIâm running for president of the student council, does it look like I care about being Queen of Hawkins?â, âIâm not clingy or sticking to you all the time, it was just one party!â
And so, you had come up with the party plan. It was really simple: As soon as you got to the party, each one would go and do their thing. Billy would go out and play games while you hang out with Steve and Nancy and Johnathan. If there were any good songs or if you were craving each other presences, you would find each other and would dance for a couple of songs or maybe have a little (long) time out inside any room available where you could moan each otherâs name. It had worked on the parties that you had gone to for the last few months and it had been fine, most of the time after you found each other you wouldnât let go.
Today had to be no different, another party at Tinaâs, usual business.Â
But you knew it wasnât, Billy turned around to see you with narrowed blue electric eyes, brows bumped together in a scowl and lips pressed together.Â
âBilly?â
âIâm not really feeling like partyingâ, he muttered as he sighed and took a hold of your waist and pulled your flesh against his.Â
Sometimes you were more than sure that Billyâs arms were made perfectly for you, you loved being held by him, and feeling like nothing in the world could hurt you. Being held by his biceps and pressed against him always made your heart skip a bit, you didnât even think twice as you quickly took a hold of his face and you pressed your lips urgently against his, making you whimper into his lips. It was intoxicating the dance between your lips and tongues, you sometimes even got dizzy after kissing Billy but you were more than happy to get drunk on him rather than on vodka.Â
But today you wanted to hang out with Nancy, Johnathan, and Steve, you hadnât been seeing them much since school started again since, well, Billy was a handful.Â
âIâll see you later sirâ, you whispered as you gave him the last peck and walked away from him with a smile on your lips.Â
Billy stayed stunned after a few seconds and cursed to himself but he knew that you were in the mood for partying and the least he could do was give you space to be by yourself, to have times with your friends. He didnât want to admit it but he had taken a lot of your time the past few weeks, he had wanted to take advantage of his father leaving Hawkins for a work trip, so he had spent most of his time buried inside of you or sleeping next to you or laughing with you, etc. And he wanted tonight to be no different, but he also respected you and your wishes. So, although he wasnât too excited, he managed himself. He quickly threatened his way to get a whole bottle of tequila and went outside where Tommy and Carol were waiting for him already.Â
âYou look stunning!â, Nancy gasped as she saw you, you twirl so they could give a look at your outfit: A tight black leather skirt, military boots, and a cutout band t-shirt from Billy.Â
Steve and Jonathan cheered for you as you moved your hips and Nancy clapped, while you then twirl her around for her to model her outfit.Â
âYou look stunning all the time!â, you replied as you hugged Nancy.Â
âThatâs indeed trueâ, Johnathan muttered as he pulled in Nancy for a kiss on her forehead while she wrapped one arm around him, quickly pulling him into a passionate kiss.
Steve rolled his eyes as he got closer to you, âAre we going to dance?â, he whispered in your ear and it made you shiver.Â
You couldnât lie that you had a thing for Steve when you were younger than you were less than thrilled when he started dating Nancy but as time passed, your feelings had changed and Steve became just a great friend in your eyes. Although, it didnât mean that sometimes Billy didnât get jealous of him and how close you two were. But he had come to accept it, as he should, and Steve also started to deal with Billy by your request since he didnât really like him after he had dethroned him as King of Hawkins.Â
âYes, we areâ, you replied and quickly pulled Steve into the living room where everyone else was dancing.Â
The way you felt the music cruising through your body made you get lost on it, eyes closed and jumping, swaying your hips to the beat, laughing, and smiling all along. Should I stay or Should I go from The Clash was the tenth song you had danced to with Steve and you were sweating from bopping your head to the last bit, throat a little bit sore from screaming the lyrics at the top of your lungs.Â
Steve wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pressed a kiss on the top of your head. âI forgot how good it was to dance with you, Y/L/Nâ, you nodded without much breath but you turned around to see one of the boys from Billyâs group watching you with malice. The narrowed eyes and puckered lips werenât anything new for you, especially from his âfriendsâ or followers, but you knew how much they would like to initiate any rumor that could create any drama in Hawkins since they didnât have anything more exciting to do.Â
âIâm going to get something to drinkâ, you muttered as you glared at the loser who had been watching Steve and you, but soon he turned to the patio, where you imagined Billy was.Â
You rolled your eyes; you knew you had to do damage control with Billy. Although Billy seemed like he had all the confidence in the world, you knew deep down he was insecure thanks to his relationship with his father, and especially, as months had passed by, he was insecure about your relationship sometimes. It seemed to him that you could do so much better and he was perpetually on edge when he thought about you and Steve too much, although he trusted you completely.Â
And on your part, it wasnât too different, Billy had girls throwing themselves at him permanently which was always annoying, girls who whispered at him that they would make him feel so much better than you ever did and that they wished he could make them scream. Billy had assured you and showed you that he only had eyes with you, and it did become funny sometimes because if there was someone in love with his girlfriend was Billy Hargrove. But still, sometimes that burning feeling that crept its way your heart and spread it through your body, making you feel like you could spitfire didnât go away.
Especially not at the moment.Â
Billy was outside, playing a nice game of beer pong and chugging more beer than you thought he would like tonight, but there he was⌠with Heather freaking Miller. She was leaning into a flustered Billy as she giggled while he poured the beer on his mouth, a little bit too fast that it made the drink spill all over his naked chest -he always lost some buttons or his shirt at some point in a party-, you imagined that he was a bit tipsy at the moment but you couldnât help to feel your stomach twisting as you saw Heather pressing a soft kiss to his jaw.Â
You spun on your heels faster than you could even imagine, not even wanting to watch Billyâs reaction to her kiss and if you had been a bit drunker, you might have been bold enough to start going off at her and Billy. But you werenât in the mood, to hell if Billy was told something about Steve, whatever.Â
âYou said something?â, a guy in the kitchen asked you, as you leaned on the kitchen island in front of the living room that served as the dance floor, realizing that you had been muttering out loud. There werenât many people in the kitchen, the great majority of the people were dancing or outside, but there were two boys.Â
You huffed as you turned around and saw the guy. He had short brown hair and a nice smile as he sipped from his red solo cup. He looked familiar and you remember him being a cheer on after a basketball game while you were a Sophomore at Hawkins High and he was a Senior. He was from an affluent family, you remembered that as well as you might have seen him in one of your parent's Christmas parties, but you werenât social.Â
âDo I know you?â, you asked a bit coldly, annoyed still at the image of Heather and Billy.Â
âBurn!â, another boy close to the one that had just talked to you shouted as he laughed at his friend. You recognized him too, he was also known as a Senior when you were in Sophomore, he wasnât on any team but he was on the popular crowd.Â
You vaguely remember the class that had graduated that year, only remembered a few bullying incidents but mostly that they were sexist assholes. You hoped that college had changed them, at least you liked to believe people could mature, but seeing them three years later in a party of their high school didnât give you much hope.
âIâm Bradâ, the boy with short brown hair stated as you sighed and smiled, trying to be as polite as you could taking into account how mad you were. âThis is Chadâ, he said pointing to his friend.Â
âY/Nâ, you answer as you shook his hand as he had offered it.Â
He held it for a bit too long and you felt goosebumps erupting on your skin, but they werenât good goosebumps, the way he was looking at you was way too intently but you figured that he was trying to flirt and score a girl.Â
âBrad! I justâŚâ, another boy came from the living room with a bottle of tequila in his hand as the three of you turned around to watch him, you took the opportunity and removed your hand from his hold as your eyes began to look for some wine or vodka to take to Steve. âWhoâs that?â, the same guy muttered as he got closer to Brad and Chad.Â
âShut up, Loganâ, Brad rolled his eyes as he saw you reaching for a bottle of vodka, he quickly took it and then handed it to you with a strange smile. âYou have to apologize, my friends, they areâŚâ
âWonderful?â, Logan said with a smirk.
âCharming?â, Chad answer as he seemed to be taking something from his Varsity Jacket, you didnât manage to see really what he had since Brad quickly placed solo red cups for you to do shots in, blocking the view.
âAnnoyingâ, he stated as he poured a bit of the vodka on two small cups and then passed the bottle to his friends. You smile at the way he said it, the guy had a charm but there was still a hint of something you didnât like. Something that didnât add up to his pretty greyish eyes or his sharp jaw. âWant one round?â
You sighed and nodded. At the moment, you only wanted a drink and donât think a lot about Billy and Heather, you didnât want to be too mad about it, especially since it was your idea to do a party plan and you left the road wide open for girls like Heather to flirt with Billy.Â
It felt like it was your fault.Â
âSureâ
The vodka burned your throat a little bit more than you would imagine but you didnât care. It tasted okay enough and your eyes simply wondered towards the patio door, in the hopes that Billy might come looking for you but there was no sign of him coming.Â
âYou have a boyfriend?â, you heard Brad asking and you turned around as you passed a hand through your hair. You watched as Bradâs friends began pouring another round of shots with the vodka but your attention went right to Brad again.Â
âI do, heâs with another girl at the patioâ, you muttered angrily as you took a hold of the shot and chugged it right in. The vodka still burned on your throat but it now felt bubbly, still burned a bit more than before but you figured it was because you hadnât been drinking in a while. Â
âOohâ, the two friends shouted and it made you roll your eyes, they werenât being good company and you tried to snatch the bottle of vodka from the table where they had left it but Brad took it first.Â
âLetâs do two more rounds, it will make you feel betterâ, he cooed as he got closer to you.Â
If this was any other moment, at any other party, you wouldâve said no and leave without a bottle and look for Billy. But the blonde hair from Heather on Billyâs shoulder, his laugh, and her lips on his jaw were burned on your head at the moment and you wished that maybe vodka could help you, you wished that angry drinking would be enough to make you feel better.Â
âFineâ, you answer with a smirk and Brad smiled as well, his friends cheering in the background as you chugged another shot that had been served by you.Â
It had to be almost four more rounds of shots of vodka -at least you believed but it didnât taste like vodka after the second- that they had handed to you when you began to feel weird.Â
It began slowly, the sleepiness taking over your body, spreading from your belly towards your chest, and soon it seemed to get on your head. It didnât feel bad right away, simply weird. You were never a hard drinker, you had never blackout before and you werenât planning to tonight. Getting tipsy? Yes, getting drunk? Maybe, but this felt like it was happening faster than what you had anticipated.Â
You closed your eyes and leaned into the kitchen island for a second, trying to recover your breath to see if that was it, you just needed a little break. But as seconds passed, you felt your muscles getting sleepier and even when your eyes were closed, you felt like you were on a carrousel and it wasnât stopping.Â
âYou donât look so goodâ, you heard Brad said as he wrapped his arm around your waist, which you tried to get off but it seemed as if your muscles were going in slow motion. âYou want to go to the bathroom?â
You felt like you could vomit at his questions, it sounded wrong. You shook your head as you opened your eyes and glared at him, motioning for him to let you go and he did, but as you turned around everything began to be blurry.Â
âIwanttodanceâ, you slurred, words tumbling against each other. You began walking towards the living room, trying to get away from the kitchen while you desperately tried to look for Nancy, Johnathan, or Steve.Â
You felt your head getting dizzier and dizzier as each second passed, your brain seemed to be trying so hard for your limbs to move at the pace that you needed them too but they felt disconnected like there was a short-circuit between them. Â
You werenât sure when they had actually disconnected, it had to be a second before you reached the living room by going down simply two steps. It was something you were sure you could accomplish, not even on your worst drunk stories you had been so unaware of your body, you had never felt like that. So, it wasnât a surprise when you saw the world turning upside down and you felt a sharp pain on the right side of your body, your head crashing on the floor as you closed your eyes from the impact.Â
You fell, badly.Â
You whimpered in pain as you felt peopleâs gaze on you, although you had your eyes closed you could feel peopleâs presence close to you and you wish you could even stand up but it seemed like nothing worked and you could only motion simple things You heard a couple of people laughing, guessing that maybe you were too drunk and were unable to handle your booze. You felt some girls getting closer to you and asking if you were okay but your words werenât really words anymore, only mumbles, the pangs of pain still spreading through your torso, hips, and legs while the numbness started to spread as well.Â
It was even getting hard to keep your eyes open for too long.Â
Before you knew it, someone was wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you off the ground. You prayed it was Billy or Steve, with Nancy by their side or even a couple of the girls who had been asking if you were okay.Â
âSeems like sheâs ready to go to sleepâ
You froze as you heard Bradâs voice and a deep feeling of panic started invading your body. You protested, at least you thought but your words didnât come out from your mouth, your eyes were still close as the pangs of pain from the fall were disappearing quite quickly, which made you worry.Â
Brad quickly took a hold of your body and carried you bride-style to god knows where, you suddenly felt your stomach sinking as you realized how weak you were and the fact that you were in the hands of strangers. Sleepiness crawling over your body and anxiety too, everything began to become foggy.Â
âWeâll take care good care of youâ Logan stated as you felt the music farther and farther away. Â
You whimpered in protest as you opened your eyes as you tried to shimmy yourself out of his hold but it just came as spams on your limps, nothing strong enough and it seemed like they were going through the foyer, towards the door.Â
âStopâ
Nancyâs voice felt like it had been sent from the sky, you tried to turn your head as quickly as you could and there she was. Â âWho are you?â, she asked as she got closer to you.Â
You knew Nancy might be little, she might have been a little mousy when you met her but she was fierce and she could end anyone who came on her way. Such a small girl could raise hell if she decided to and you felt like crying with happiness when you -in a blur- watched her crossed her arms across her chest and glare at the guys she was standing in front of.
âSheâs feeling badâ, Brad explained with a shrug but the sassy nature of his answer gave him away to Nancy, âShe had a lot to drink and she told us to get her homeâ
âShe has a boyfriend for thatâ, Nancy replied right away angrily. âAnd friends that know herâ
âWe are her friendsâ, he barked back and it made you jump on your inside.Â
These guys were aggressive, the way that he answered to Nancy⌠you felt like tears were pooling in your eyes. This was not okay and panic raised again, flooding your body. You needed Nancy to take you away from their paws, now. You didnât want to think where this was going if she didnât manage to stop them.Â
âNancyâ you managed to mumble and with all the effort you had, you tried to take a hold of her but your arm gave up before you reached her, soon your eyes rolled to the back of your head and your head fell backward.
You were too weak.Â
Nancy froze for a second with fear as she saw your state, and so hell was loose.Â
âGet her down now!â, Nancyâs growl made your body tremble, it was so loud that you were hoping that anyone else noticed.Â
âFuck youâ, Chad replied as you heard a struggle in front of you⌠they were holding Nancy now as Brad began to move again, your heart sinkingÂ
âHer boyfriend is being called right now!â, Nancy yelled as you could hear her struggling while you passed in front of her.Â
The cold air hit you hard and you cried as you tried to move from Bradâs hold but he wouldnât budge, they had managed to sneak you and this was the worst-case scenario. Billy was the only thing you thought before your brain began to shut down when you began to drown in the darkness.Â
âWe shouldnât have given her so manyâ, Logan muttered as he opened the door of the car that was parked in the front patio of Tinaâs house, close to many others.Â
âCan you just shut up?â, Brad growled as he tightened the hold on your body, and tried to see how he could fit you in the car correctly.Â
âMaybe itâs betterâ, Logan muttered as he opened the driverâs door, still talking to himself. âShe wonât remember anythingâ
âWHERE IS SHE?â
The growl coming from the main door from the house shook Brad and Logan to the core. They both turned around to see Billy, exiting the party with Steve and Nancy behind him.Â
Billy had been trying to get a Heather Miller off his back since he had started to play a beer-pong match, it had all been easy and messing around until Heather had come in and began to linger closer to Billy each time he drank. She had placed a kiss on his jaw when he had barked at her to back off, people began to laugh around them and scream things, Heather seemed to be annoyed by the statement and tried to talk him out of being so aggressive. Billy remained silent and shrugged her off each time she tried to flirt with him again, it was annoying to him and he knew that his friends would take any chance to start a rumor that could affect your relationship. So, the rest of the time he tried to get as far away from Heather as he possibly could, he even flipped her off before Steve had run towards him and ask him to go with him. Â
Billy felt as if a black hole had grown in his stomach as Steve told him what had happened, that some guys were trying to take you somewhere and that you were barely conscious, that Nancy was trying to hold them back but you needed him now.Â
Billy wasnât exactly sure how fast he had arrived, how he didnât even notice the guy on the floor that Nancy had managed to beat up with a flower vase at the foyer or how he couldnât hear anything because his heart and breathing were so loud that he could only focus on what he saw.Â
And there you were: completely limp, head falling from Bradâs arm, eyes rolled back on the back of your head. You seemed so small; it shook Billy.
Sometimes Billy had these gaps in time when he became so mad that he didnât feel like himself anymore, he could only feel the anger filling his body as the seconds passed. It was almost automatic when his hands formed into fists and he began to growl. You had talked to him about it and had helped him to never lose control again since you began dating, helping him breathe and control his emotions.Â
But not this time.Â
Billy yelled as he took Logan first. The guy didnât even have a second before Billy yanked the keys out of his hands and smashed the boyâs head against the window of the car. Billy didnt really notice when the window cracked, he only noticed when it broke in front of him as he smashed once again Loganâs head.Â
Logan fell on the ground with a groan, blood coming out of the right side of his face, laying with the broken glass on the floor. Billy then turned around quickly to go and get you, Brad had already been cornered by Steve and Nancy while Johnathan tried to rip you off from Bradâs hold.Â
âHEY!â, someone yelled as he pushed Billy making him slam against the car door.Â
Billy turned around to see Chad, nose already bloody from Nancyâs punch and more coming out of his eyebrow cut thanks to the vase. The guy was already beaten up by Nancy, badly, but Billy didnât hesitate to beat him to a pulp with his fist. It seemed rather like a gap of time where Billy had no control, as his knuckles slammed against the guy's jaw while he screamed in pain. Chad managed to punch Billy on his ribs but Billy quickly retaliated and knocked him out with a single punch.Â
Billyâs breathing was too shaken up, he almost couldnât even hear how Nancy had been telling him to stop as he kept kicking the guy on the ground. It was only until Nancy hit him in the back of his head, rather hard, that he turned around.Â
âWe got herâ, Nancy yelled at him as she glared at Billy. She didnât seem too shaken up, her hands were bloody as well and her eyes seemed steady.Â
Billyâs eyes traveled to Steve who had you in his arms while Johnathan let Brad fall from his hold against the car, his nose was already bloody, as well as his lips. But at the moment, Billy didnât care about anything else, he got closer to you so quickly that he felt like he couldnât breathe anymore.Â
âY/Nâ, he whispered as tears began to stream from his face.Â
You didnât respond, your eyes with long lashes were closed while your arm was dangling. You were cold, you usually got cold as Billy would work as a heater for you, but right now you were too cold.Â
It hurt.Â
Billy swore he had heard something breaking inside of his chest, he sucked in a breath as he pressed your cheek with his palm as if in any moment you would open your eyes again, that you would watch him lovingly and place a kiss on his lips like many times before but you didnât react, you seemed lost.Â
It hurt him so much that when he heard a groan coming from the floor, he saw Brad there with barely any real damage on him. Billy felt his muscles tensing up as he walked towards him, ignoring Nancyâs pleas. Billy seemed like a robot as he quickly opened again the door of the car and place Bradâs hand on the edge, without much thought, he shut the door roughly.
âaaaaAAHHH!!â
The painful scream coming from Bradâs lips shocked Nancy and Steve, and even you in your state. The scream had been the only thing that had managed to make you come back from the darkness, you couldnât really move but your body was screaming for something to happen but your limbs seemed useless.Â
Billy quickly kneeled and punch Brad again, making his nose bleed even more. The groans and whimpers coming from Brad didnât bother Billy, it only bothered him when he wrapped one hand around Bradâs neck and he noticed his knuckles already getting purple.Â
He hated being like this. He knew you would disapprove if you had been there watching him but the rage that he was feeling at the moment, he hadnât felt it in such a long time that if he thought he remained still, he would burst.Â
âI see you or your rat friendâs again, and Iâll kill youâ, Billy murmured as he let go of Bradâs neck and allowed him to breathe again as he coughed thanks to the pressure Billy had on him.
Billy turned around to see Nancy, Steve, and Johnathan looking terrified, he tried to shake it off and came back to you.Â
âThey must have roofied herâ, Johnathan explained as Billy was desperately trying to wake you up.Â
âY/N, please are you there?â, Billy couldnât believe it was his voice, so wobbly and small as he moved your hair from your face and took a hold of you had, begging internally for you to wake up.Â
You couldnât believe it was his voice either, you wanted to scream and cry, you wanted to be held by him and feel safe again. But you couldnât do anything, you could only beg your body to move, nudge, talk, do something.Â
And it seemed as if it had listened to you for a moment.Â
âBillyâ, the whisper was so faint that Billy wasnât sure it was real, he stopped dead on his track and saw how your glassy eyes were half opened and Billy felt his shaking hands coming over to your hand.Â
But then you suddenly gave up, the darkness eating you once again as your eyes rolled to the back of your head once more and you were lying there, emotionless.Â
Billy felt his body cold.Â
âY/N?â, Billy asked as tears streamed down once more. âBaby?â, Billyâs voice was so raw and shaken up that it almost scared Nancy as he looked at her and yelled. âNancy, what should we do?âÂ
Nancy stayed still for a second, doubting herself but then she walked decidedly towards Steve who was holding your body. âWe have to check her breathing and her heartbeatâ, Jonathan coming right up helping her to check your vitals, while Billy gave a step back and held your cold hand.Â
âSheâs still breathing, itâs like she fell asleepâ, Nancy answered.
âWe have to take her to a hospitalâ, Steve stated as he held you tighter on his arms.Â
Billy panicked and shook his head, knowing exactly that -even though your parents had come to accept your relationship- they wouldnât waste a second if he gave them a reason to break you guys up.Â
âHer parents would know; you know they would never let her see me againâ, Billy explained to Steve, his eyes pleading with him not to do it because he knew what the consequences were and he might ruin what made you and Billy happy. Â
Steve didnât like Billy, but he had never seen him like this or anyone for that matter. He had never seen such true desperation; he had never seen someone show such raw emotions for someone. He didnât like Billy, but you did and Steve knew that Billy was everything you wanted.Â
âFuck, what should we do?â, Johnathan sighed as Billy began taking you from Steveâs arms.Â
Billy remained a second as he adjusted you in his arms, his arms around you securely as he watched you carefully. You seemed so pale and fragile, and he hated it because he knew that this wasnât you. He couldnât get out of his head how scared you mustâve been before you went out, what they had done to you. He wanted to take you to the hospital, he knew it was the most appropriate way but he also knew that he really couldnât and at that moment he had a flashback to California when people took more pills than they should.Â
âSheâs going to have to throw this upâ. Billy stated as he tried to wipe the tears with his shoulder as he took you into the house, as quickly as he could.Â
âBilly, what are yo-â, Nancy protested as she followed him but Billy was on a mission,Â
âShe couldnât have taken them too long agoâ, he muttered as he entered Tinaâs house.
He was shaking as he muttered to himself deliriously: you are going to be okay; you are going to be okay; you are going to be okay. He pulled you closer to his chest and his eyes urgently tried to find a bathroom, people were gathering around him at the entrance of the party, watching Billy splattered with blood and knuckles purple with you limp on his arms. Billy didnât care about the people as he tried to see where was it better to take you, he even wondered if the kitchen was right but he knew you wouldnât want anyone to see you or him in that state.Â
Tina ran towards him, as she was about to speak Billy interrupted her.
âTina!â He screamed, his voice was raw and torn -the urgency in his electric blue eyes seemed almost psychotic-, she shook at his scream. âBathroom with a showerâ
âOh my god, what happened?â, Tina squealed as she tried to get closer but Billy stepped back.Â
âBathroomâ, he growled once more startling Tina.Â
âUpstairs in my room! Turn to the leftâ
Billy said nothing as he ran upstairs, adjusting you in his arms as he followed Tinaâs instructions. He let out an all-encompassing sigh of relief as he entered the bathroom.Â
âCome on, come on babyâ, he whispered as he placed you on the tub and then turned on the shower. The lukewarm water began to wash your legs and lower abdomen as Billy hurried and placed himself behind you.Â
He made sure that you were well position, laying on his chest so he could sit you, and then he began to place his fingers on your throat. But nothing was happening, you werenât reacting as he tried to place his fingers on the right spot for you to throw up whatever they had given to you.Â
Tears began to fall from his face, a part of him glad they were being masked with the drops of water. Billy felt like he wanted to puke himself as he gazed at the bottom of the bathtub and realized the blood was being mixed with the water -blood from the guys that he had beaten up and his own coming from his knuckles-.Â
He shivered at the thought of how badly he had reacted and what would you think of him, but he quickly snapped out of it as he continued to cry for you.Â
âY/N pleaseâ, he cried. âBaby please, come onâ.
Billyâs voice seemed so broken and raw, his pleas could be heard by Steve and Jonathan who were outside the bathroom while Nancy was talking to Tina outside her bedroom, convincing her not to enter until you were okay.Â
But you werenât okay, nothing was happening and Billy snapped.Â
âpLEASE! Y/Nâ, it seemed as if his screamed had ripped through his chest as he held you, and once more, he placed his fingers on your throat in one last attempt.Â
The gagging was like music to his ears, how your body finally reacted and you raised a bit from his chest with the help of Billy and you began to throw up. You felt like if you were getting out every organ inside of you as your body spammed as you threw up with Billyâs face bury on your neck as he held you.Â
It wasnât until you finally stopped after a minute of throwing up everything you could, that you realized that the fogginess and darkness that had trapped you were leaving, your head was clearing again and Billy felt like he could breathe. It wasnât like you were completely fine, your breaths were still raggedy but they were stronger than before and you could raise your head for a second, hold yourself.Â
You could hold yourself enough to throw up once more, another round, but this time it felt more like a reaction of the fear that you felt from those guys. You didnât want anything inside of you, nothing from that night, the thought of those guys made you sick.Â
It wasnât until you were unable to throw up anything else, you turn around softly, still feeling woozy.Â
And there he was, the only one you had ever wanted.Â
Billyâs hair was wet, the streams of water were still falling from his body but you recognize his tears as well. His blue electric eyes that had always been heaven to you, were red from crying and his usually tan skin seemed as white as a paper, completely pale, he looked terrified.Â
Indeed, Billy was terrified but he tried not to show it as he caressed your hair and help you lay more comfortably on his chest. It was only when your eyes connected and you took a big breath that you began to cry. The tears were streaming without control from your eyes and it seemed like before, you just wanted to feel empty and clean and safe. Billy held you as close to him as he could while you sob.
He kissed your head, he kissed the back of your neck and your hands as you whimpered and tried to hold anything from him, the craving of him becoming stronger every second.Â
âHold meâ, you slurred and Billy nodded, wrapping his arm around your body as you cuddle against him while being wash with the water.Â
âIâm so sorryâ, Billy whispered as he rocked you back and forth. âIâll never leave againâ
His voice sounded so truthful that you began to think that he meant something for good, so permanently that it made your heart skip a bit but you didnât want to say anything, you simply nodded and leaned into him even more, burying yourself against his chest.Â
âI love youâ, he whispered.Â

After arranging and rearranging the boxes and bags layed out on the king sized bed, Yunho calmly took a step back to make sure everything looked ok. He let out a frustrated groan as he began second guessing himself.
"What if she doesn't like them?"
He had no time to ponder more on that question as the doorbell rang, letting him know the very person he was talking about was already there. He scurried out the bedroom, as he passed the living room, he stopped and ran back inside it to pick up the bouquet of roses that he nearly forgot about. Making sure to straighten out his posture, he nervously reached for the handle before turning it to open the door, hiding the bouquet behind his back.
"Hi." The person standing there waved at him, her eyes lighting up when she saw him.
"Hey you....." He had an equally flustered smile plastered on his face as he gazed down at the pretty face in front of him.
The girl shifted awkwardly in place, looking side to side as she waited for him to say something.
"So.....did you have fun on your trip?" She finally asked.
He let out a chuckle.
"Hardly. It was literally all work the entire time and I was just frustrated and stress and- Oh! I'm sorry Y/N. Please come inside."
He stepped aside to let her enter into his penthouse apartment, which she hadn't been in for the 4 months he was away on a business trip. Closing the door behind him, he faced her and produced the flowers he was hiding up to the point.
"Here. I brought them for you." He held them out towards her.
"Oh my gosh they're beautiful! Thank you!" She thanked him as she admired the gift he'd given her.
"And that's not all! I got you a few other things while I was away!"
Taking her hand in one of his large ones, he excitedly led her into the room that had been specifically decorated, prepared and set aside just for her whenever she'd come over and stayed with him for long periods of time. Standing behind her, he led her inside, his hands now covering her eyes as he whispered tiny instructions on how many steps to take and where to turn.
"Ta da!" He cheered enthusiastically.
Opening her eyes, she was bewildered by the dozens upon dozens of designer and luxury named bags and boxes that no doubt contained clothes, jewelry, shoes and probably a few articles of lingerie. She smiled softly at his kind gesture
"It's wonderful.....thank you." She turned to him.
"Do you want to look through them now?" He was already reaching for one of the bags.
"Oh....perhaps later..." She suggested.
Sensing something like disappointment, Yunho sighed.
"Don't you like them? Were they not what you wanted? Was there something specific you would have rather liked?" He was ready to give her the world, all she needed to say was the word and he'd bend earth and sky for her.
"No! I love them, I do! It's just...." She looked down, somewhat afraid of saying out loud what it was she really wanted.
Wanting to soften her up, his fingers cupped her chin, lifting it up so he could look at her eyes.
"Tell me babygirl. Just ask and it shall be yours." He assured her.
She bit her lip, that action alone making him lick his own and wish it was his own teeth that were fulfilling that action instead on her.
"I really just wanted to spend time with you.....maybe watch a movie together and.....cuddle?"
Without realizing it, her hands began pinching at the soft material of his black turtleneck, bottom lip pouting upwards like a child awaiting to be refused. The tall male let out a soft and low chuckle.
"That's it? Is that really all my darling wants?" He kissed her forehead in disbelief.
She whined in a rather cute yet frustrated way.
"It's just you've been gone for so long and I missed you. Is that a crime?" She defended herself.
He shook his head then swiftly scooped her up in his arms and began carrying her out into the living room.
"Nope and honestly I'm happy you suggested it. I missed my babygirl as well."
She blushed slightly when he pressed a rather hard and long kiss to her cheek before sitting her down on his lap and turning on the huge television in front of them. They both agreed to watch a new movie that had just recently came out, all of their friends having been raving about it making them curious and wanting to see what it was about. From the looks of it, it seemed to be another typical romantic movie, which neither of them minded. Neither were hardly paying attention to the movie, one more occupied in poking either side of her ribcage or pinching her thighs, while she playfully slapped his giant hands away, often whining which resulted in him wrapping his arms more tightly around her, face pressing against her shoulder as he bounced her on his lap.
When they finally decided to just stop and watch the movie, it had suddenly taken another turn that was not very PG at all. A rather erotic and explicit R rated scene came up, leaving them both gulping and making them both sweat nervously. They both thought it'd be over soon, like any other cliche Hollywood sex scene that would only last a minute or two, but they were surprised that almost 10 minutes later, it was only getting more and more kinky which had both of them awkwardly sitting there.
Y/N could feel the way Yunho's fingers began to slowly rub circles along her hip bones, sometimes digging harshly into her skin. She began to think of all the other places she'd rather have his fingers in, like her mouth, around her neck or slipping inside her womanhood which was getting more wet the more sensual his touches became. The fake moans coming from the actors on screen made her think of all the times Yunho had gone rough on her, teasing her relentlessly and making her have one orgasm after another because he always wanted more, never satisfied with having her cum just once. Those thoughts were so wrapped up in her mind, she didn't realize she had began grinding herself against Yunho's lap until his hands suddenly held her in place, stilling her movements.
Inhaling a raspy breath, her eyes fluttered close when he began pressing open mouth kisses to the side of her neck and shoulder.
"You have no idea how much I've missed you.."
One of his hands moved to slip inside her shorts, pushing past her cotton panties to start stroking gently at her little nub, eliciting soft moans and breaths to protrude from her lips.
"So let me show you princess just how much daddy missed you."
She let out a pleasured hum at having him call her that nickname that he reserved especially for these moments. With his hand buried in between her legs, he moved his fingers down further, slipping one of his long fingers into her entrance, probing around her walls as his kisses to her neck became more sloppy and hungry.
"You're already super wet. Did you miss me that much? Hmm? Did my little princess miss her daddy?"
She couldn't help but nod.
"Y-yes, I missed you so much daddy." She gasped when a second finger entered her, speedily thrusting in and out of her. She couldn't help but grind down onto his hand.
Yunho let out a groan.
"Do you like my fingers that much princess?" He cooed in her ear.
"Yes! Oh my God! I love your fingers so much!" She cried out.
Snorting softly, he used his free hand to trail up her neck before running his thumb across her bottom lip. Knowing exactly what he was hinting at, she obediently opened her mouth.
"That's it princess. Such a good girl. Suck on my fingers....fuck- yes, just like that."
She didn't protest as he slipped 3 of his fingers in her mouth, she just enveloped them inside her wet cavern and sucked on them as though they were one of the delicious candies he often brought her from some foreign country. She moaned around his fingers, as his other hand worked her closer to her incoming orgasm. Although she wanted to hold out a little longer, it had been far too long since she'd had something that wasn't her own fingers, or one of the many toys she'd been spoiled with, inside her pussy. And Yunho's touch was so addicting, always knowing exactly how to push her over the edge in such little time. He could feel it too, he knew she was ready to burst at any second.
"Cum...cum for me princess. You deserve it."
His fingers pushed deeper in her mouth, making her release a series of choked out moans as her hips shook, liquids pouring out of her and covering Yunho's hand in a sticky mess. Although his fingers stopped moving inside her, his thumb continued to rub at her clit, helping to ride her out of her orgasm, only stopping when she finally stopped moving her hips.
Pulling his fingers out of her soaked hole, he brought them up to his lips and shamelessly sucked off the secretions left on it.
"Still tasting as delicious as ever." He purred in her ear.
His immense hands suddenly turned her over, placing her on top of his thigh.
"Ride it baby. Put on a little show for me."
Although she was always shy about riding his thick thighs, she never refused him, knowing he was always gentle and helped her throughout it since she was still pretty new to it. Her hands grasped at his shoulders to help stabilize her as her hips began rutting against his clothed thighs. Her ruined underwear was now painfully clinging to her soaked pussy, only attaching itself more to her skin the more she grinded herself against her lover's body.
Yunho watched with hooded eyes as her head fell back, exposing more of her beautiful neck, eyes shut tight as she fucked herself on his thigh. His hands went over to grab at her ass cheeks, kneading her soft flesh in between his fingers, massaging them gently and guiding them to help her find the best pleasure possible.
"There you go baby, keep doing that. You're doing such a good job my darling. Look at you looking so pretty."
She couldn't control herself as she began riding his thigh with more intensity, loving all the praises being spilled out of his mouth just for her. Yunho knew it too, knew how much she loved to be dotted on in such a way by him.
"Yeah you like being called that? Like being daddy's good little girl? Cause that's what you are right?" He flexed his thigh, slightly rubbing more against her, a wet patch becoming visible on his trousers as she began soaking through her clothes.
"Yes! I'm your good girl daddy! Wanna be good just for you." She cried out as she began to frantically hump his thigh, another orgasm fast approaching her.
"You're such a good girl princess..just for me right? Be my good princess and cum again, can you do that again for me? Yes you can, go ahead."
His hands flew to grasp at her waist, holding her in place as her arms fell back onto the leather couch beneath her and held her body up as she came on top of him, her hips unable to ride her through her orgasm so Yunho continued rubbing his thigh in between her legs so her orgasm wouldn't be ruined. He loved watching her eyes shut tight, the corners spilling out a few droplets of tears as an overwhelming pleasure took her over countenance, leaving her breathless for a few seconds.
Once she recovered from that high, she opened her eyes to find Yunho staring at her with such ardent passion burning in his eyes. His lips flew up to kiss hers fervently, his body pushing her down onto the couch. His hands entangled themselves on hers and held them up above her head. She shivered when she felt his bulge rub against her inner thigh, making her excited at the thought of having it inside her once again.
"Such a pretty and beautiful baby. I know I say it a lot but I truly mean it."
Tilting her head to the side so it'd be easier for him to leave marks along the side of her neck, her smiled at the loving compliments he kept showering her with.
"You're such a sight to behold." He was practically growling as his mouth ravished at the tender skin of her neck, marking as he pleased, after all.....
She was all his and belonged to him and him only.
"My beautiful little princess."
Sitting up, he began ridding her of her shorts, her panties dragged along with them, tossed onto the floor. Yunho groaned at the sight of her glistening folds, looking plump and pink hued from the previous administrations he had placed on it.
"Fuck....I really need to be inside you.. ....
Right. Now."
She let out a squeal as he turned her to her side, laying down beside her in a spooning position. She giggled as she heard the sound of his belt being undone, followed by his trousers being pulled down to his thighs so he could take his cock out. Pumping himself a few times, he lined himself up against her entrance before pushing in, barely fitting the enormous head in.
"God princess! You're tighter than usual."
She bit down at her shirt sleeve in an effort to quiet down her whimpers as he slowly pushed more of his length in her.
"You ok? Want me to stop?" He rubbed her cheek in a soothing motion.
Shaking her head, she urged him to keep going.
"P-please...w-want daddy's monster cock inside my tiny pussy." She begged, her ass pressing back onto him to fit more of him in her.
Yunho hissed as he moved forward, finally fitting his entire length inside her warm and inviting walls.
"Fuck, you're practically squeezing the life out of me. I'm not sure you'll be able to take me."
Of course he was just taunting her at this moment, wanting to get her begging for him to fuck her as he wanted to.
"Yes I can!" She refuted his statement.
"Oh? But I don't think you can princess. I can barely move inside you. You're such a small and tiny doll compared to me.....I'm afraid I might break you." He teased her.
She whined, enjoying how he used his size against her.
"I'm small but I can take daddy's big cock. Please, break me, I can take it." She wiggled her ass to get her point across.
Getting the ok, Yunho began to slip in and out of her slowly, her walls stretching out to accommodate his length better. They both released a series of sinful sounds, both overjoyed at being connected once again after being separated for too long. Y/N's stinging in her core was replaced by ecstasy as Yunho began to speed up his thrusts, her body once again familiarizing itself with his size.
Yunho's hand that was resting on her hip moved to cup her lower abdomen, muttering curses as he felt the bulge protruding in her.
"Feel that my little doll? You're so small I can feel all of me move in and out of you."
She had tears trickling down her cheeks from the immense feeling his cock and words were giving her.
"Fuck! You're so tight little one! One might believe I don't fuck you enough." He giggled as he began nibbling at her earlobe.
Her breaths became more ragged and shaky as she approached her third orgasm of the day, walls clenching around Yunho. His hand that was on her abdomen, grabbed her own and placed it where his previously rested.
"Feel that princess? Feel me in you? Can you believe that it's really you taking me so well?"
She was releasing whimpered yelps at this point, hips snapping against her at a rough and deep pace, his gigantic length fucking her out of her mind.
"Daddy! I'm-I'm-"
His hands reached inside her shirt, groping at her soft breasts, fingers pinching at her nipples as he fucked her into another orgasm that had her eyes rolling to the back of her head. Feeling her spill in him made him desperate to chase his own release.
"Princess, gonna cum- wanna cum in you. Please tell me you've been going to the gynecologist like you're supposed to." He desperately pleaded at her, his thrusts getting more erratic, hair sticking to his forehead.
Y/N nodded furiously, affirming she had been getting her contraceptive injection specifically for this reason.
"Oh fuck! Fuck!"
Yunho grunted harshly as he spilled his cum all over her walls, making sure to fuck all of it in her. He panted softly as he tried to catch his breath, his partner next to him already worn out from that intense love session. Carefully he pulled out of her, smiling in an accomplished manner as he saw her hole be filled up with his sticky white substance.
"Beautiful." He whispered mostly to himself than anything.
Turning her over to lay on her back, he smiled down at her tired and sleepy figure. Leaning down, he began placing tiny kisses all over her face.
"I love you so much my little princess."
Too tired to even mutter out a sentence, she merely let out a tiny grumble which he giggled at.
"How cute. Come here princess. Daddy will take care of you."
Wrapping her arms around his neck, his hands lifted her up, legs wrapped around his waist as he began carrying her towards his bathroom to indulge her in a warm bubble bath to soothe her tired and sore body.
"You're so good to me Yunho..." She mumbled in his ear, her nose nuzzling against his neck, sending him into a flutter of soft panic.
"Well...you are daddy's princess after all."

No Talking in the Library || Taeyong
"Losing my virginity? Better say taking someoneâs virginity. Triple check."
There are still so many things you want to do in your last semester before graduation, and Taeyong is willing to help you.
_______
Skinny dipping
Partying all night long
Drinking hard shots
Dancing on a bar counter
Playing spin the bottle
Getting completely drunk
Attend an illegal rave
Kiss s/o I just met
Ditch classes
You inhaled deeply and tucked the sheet back into your dressâs pocket and out of your sight, your thoughts revolving around the last point youâve written again.
Losing my virginity
You were already a few months into your last year of university and yet you still felt like you hadnât experienced everything a normal college kid should have once done in their young lives.
That you hadnât really lived so far.
Looking at your friends, they had left you behind a long time ago in the first semester already when it came down to checking off bucket lists. It wasnât like you were too shy or stayed away from parties and boys, though. The opportunity just had never arisen, and only now you realized that it probably never would if you wouldnât take fate into your own hands.
You were sick and tired of waiting for the perfect moment and the perfect guy.
Looking at your watch, you realized it was nearly time for your next class and that you slowly had to get going.
Passing by different bookshelves, you were pondering whether to still search for lecture here in the library to read through the weekend in preparation for the project you had to work on the next week, but you quickly resisted the urge to do so as you had already collected enough and headed straight to the door.
âWatch out!â you still heard before the next thing you felt was pain crippling your face.
Only the break of a second was needed before numbness turned into pain and shot through your nerves that even reached the tips of your fingers with the root of the ache being your nose.
âOh my god!â you squealed and brought your hands to the middle of your face while tears welled up behind your squinted eyes.
âIâm so sorry!â a male voice said, full with panic.
When you dared to open your lids, you looked into the eyes of the guy who had banged the entry door right into her face.
âYou nearly killed me!â
âIâm so sorry, y/n!â
When he mentioned your name, you turned keen-eared. Blinking through your tears, you slowly started to get a sharper view of the boy in front of you as well. Just slightly taller than you, dark hair, and an expression as shocked as yours.
You just didnât know his name anymore.
âDoes it hurt that bad? Shall we go to the ward to get a cooling pad or something?â
You shook your head and slowly brought your hands down again. The guy had a hard time biting down the smile that threatened to slip off his lips. With care, he touched your arm in a comforting gesture to reassure you.
âIâm sorry, but you totally look like Rudolph the reindeer now.â
You sniffed. âYes, thanks to you!â
âOkay, thatâs true,â he admitted and retreated his hand. âHow about I make it up to you, hm?â
âUhâŚâ You stared at him, yet you still werenât able to classify his familiar face.
âHey!â You suddenly got interrupted by the libraryâs supervisor, a middle-aged woman who was always wearing a frown and owned the hearing of a bat. âNo talking in the library! Go inside or leave, but this door has to be closed, understand?â
You nodded, and the guy made a move to pass by the librarian, but not without whispering to you âCome here!â before you disappeared into the library again, the door closing shut behind you.
Having you by his arm, he dragged you along the rows of bookshelves until he found a quiet corner in the very far back of the library. All the while when you were looking at his back, you tried to remember where you knew him from.
And then it suddenly came into your mind.
When you opened the group convo with your friends, his face would appear right next to the unsaved contact that your friend Johnny had added two days prior.
It was Lee Taeyong.
Johnny, Ten, and Jaehyunâs new roommate who you had also met once before at Johnnyâs birthday party last week.
âHey, at least your nose is not red anymore, huh?â he laughed when he came to a hold.
âBanging a door into my face again, Taeyong?â you asked back. âI have to admit, this is kind of a weird way to hit on a girl.â
âYou know my name! Admittedly, even just now I wasnât so sure whether you remembered.â
âThat was true, but once the pain vanished and I looked at your back, that scene seemed very familiar to me.â
He grinned. âJohnnyâs birthday party, yes, I banged a door into your face back then as well. Iâm sorry, I am actually a gentleman, I just didnât have a chance to prove it yet. I hope this isnât becoming our thing now.â
âYou mean⌠you banging doors into my face? I hope not, because you actually seem like a nice guy, and otherwise I have to do a runner right now. Iâd like to live a few years more.â
âMy roommates wouldnât like the thought that I scared their friend away, so letâs keep this a secret, alright?â
He winked and you laughed. You liked his humor very much and were wondering why you two hadnât talked before at Johnnyâs party.
âOh, whatâs this?â
Taeyong lifted his hand and picked up something white from the floor. He inspected his finding and then frowned. The next moment, he presented something to you that hadnât been supposed to get seen by anyone else aside from you. The sheet. Apparently it had fallen out of your pocket while hurriedly walking!
You blushed up to her ears and snatched it out of his hand. âDonât read this!â
He shrugged. âWell⌠it was quite hard not to miss the significant writing while picking it up, soâŚâ
âUghâŚâ You rolled your eyes into oblivion and wished for a hole to appear right under you to vanish in there right now.
You felt your ears burning and a hot flush running down your back as you remembered the last point you had written down. A stranger knowing about your virgin life! Embarrassing!!
âDo you⌠actually mean this?â
âMean what?â you questioned with a shaky voice.
You hadnât heard the slightest tone of mockery in his voice, you then noticed, and when you dared to look at him again, his gaze was even radiating curiosity, far from scorn.
âThe points on this list.â
âPlease donât make fun of me!â you defended yourself. âYou donât know me or why I did this in the first place, soâŚâ
You wanted to quickly pass by him and escape from the scenery, but he grabbed you by your arm and made you stop.
âWhat I know,â he then spoke, âis that youâre a kind and funny girl, apparently looking for the full college experience, am I right? I would never make fun of someone for that.â
âOkay⌠thank you. And Iâd prefer if you wonât tell anyone about that.â
âThatâs a given.â
âSo⌠having checked off anything yet?â
You shook her head, suddenly feeling a weird knot in your stomach. âI just made this today. But now that someone knows about it, itâs probably ridiculous.â
âI donât think that itâs ridiculous. You just want some fun, whatâs so wrong about that?â
You hadnât looked at this from another point of view, but now Taeyong was giving you his perspective. And he sounded so nonchalant and positive about it that you suddenly didnât feel as exposed and embarrassed as before.
âYou know what I think?â he then blurted out.
âWhat?â Now, you grew curious.
âI think you need someone to guide you through it, and many more experiences. Go hard or go home.â He grinned. âSomeone whoâs done all that already.â
âAnd youâre such a person?â you challenged.
âLet me see.â
Taeyong took the sheet from you again and read through the list. âSkinny dipping? Check. Partying all night long? Every weekend. Drinking hard shots? Also every weekend. Dancing on a bar counter? Double check, except for that one time I fell off. Playing spin the bottle? Boring, but check. Getting completely drunk? More checks than I can remember. Attend an illegal rave? Double check. Kiss someone I just met? Iâm not counting this one anymore. Ditch classes? At least once a month. Losing my virginity? Better say taking someoneâs virginity. Triple check.â
âOkay I understand!â You yanked the paper out of his hand again. âYou probably had a few years to experience all this, and I only have the rest of my senior year left.â
âWhy the rush?â Taeyong asked.
Reluctantly, you answered, âIâm leaving the country for my PhD.â
He nodded. âI see.â
Folding the sheet in your hands, you tucked it back into your pocket. âBut please donât tell the guys, I havenât opened up to them about my future plans yet, but I want to tell them personally when the time is right.â
âOf course.â Taeyong paused. âWell, then whatâs stopping you from joining a party with me tonight to get started?â
âThe fact that I barely know you yet?â
âHm, of course, youâve got a point.â Taeyong pursed his lips and seemed to ponder over something. âWhy havenât we really talked before though at Johnnyâs birthday party?â
âI really cannot remember what happened after youâve banged the door into my face.â You chuckled. âI probably went to cry in the bathroom and then weâve just lost sight of each other, because you havenât found a weird sheet from me like today.â
âSo⌠Since you only could remember me just now, we can technically say weâve just met, right?â
âIâd sign that.â
âGreat.â
You barely had time to wonder why he was grinning from ear to ear yet again when you felt Taeyongâs lips on yours the next moment.
They were soft and warm, his movements gentle at first, and he tasted so fresh and minty, and a little bit sweet as though he had drunk some fruit juice just before. Very summerly, and very manly.
His sudden kiss had left you speechless as well as motionless in the beginning, but you, now in high spirits, started to take pleasure in this act not long after his first move as you leaned against him and were welcomed with open arms.
Taeyong was a very handsome guy, there was nothing to deny about that fact, and he was a good kisser on top of that.
His hands made your body angle so that he could circle his arms around your waist and pressed you firmly against him. With your hands, you wandered upwards and sunk your fingers into his fluffy hair just in the moment Taeyong made you part your lips to deepen the kiss with his tongue.
Of course you had kissed boys before. Just because you were still a virgin didnât mean you had never made out with someone.
But you had never made out with someone this good before.
Although you had gotten a door into your face shortly before, you werenât so sure whether it was truly only the aftereffects of a possible head injury or Taeyongâs uninterrupted, passionate and oh-so-good kissing or both that got you feel so lightheaded and dizzy.
But what you knew was that you were enjoying that kiss very much.
And that you wanted more.
And Taeyong apparently as well as he proved it to you when his hands curved against your buttocks, and he gently shoved you backwards until your back rested against the wall behind you.
With his fingers, he felt the tender and glowing skin under your shirtâs bottom hem, massaging the spot there lightly as your hands simultaneously grabbed onto his shoulders and pulled him so close to you that no sheet would fit in the slit between you two anymore.
Secretly kissing in the library hadnât been written down on your agenda, but you took whatever you could get to make your last semester a memorable one.
This was so fun to you that you started to think that this bucket list that you had made wasnât that much of a bad idea after all if every single one of the experiences would leave you that excited as kissing Taeyong.
When you parted, he was still wearing that grin that now seemed more sweet than smug to you, and you joined him.
âKiss someone you just met? Check.â
âWell, then our meeting here didnât go to waste after all,â you concluded.
Admittedly, you wanted more. And by the way Taeyong looked at you, still so turned on and dreamy, he didnât seem to loathe that idea as well.
âHow about putting another point up that list?â
âSuch asâŚ?â You tilted your head.
âMaking out with someone youâve just met at a party?â
You playfully looked away as though you were in deep thoughts, but to you, the answer was clear the moment he had proposed the idea to you. âI think thatâs an experience I shouldnât miss as well.â
Just as Taeyong let out a relieved laughter and leaned in to you again, you heard a familiar,
âNo talking in the library!â
In front of them stood the librarian with the worst timing ever.
âTechnically, we werenât talking,â Taeyong cleared up cheekily as he withdrew from you, and you nodded in approval.
The librarian though looked confused.
The wink Taeyong shot into your direction was only visible for you, and you blushed faintly as you agreed, âYeah, we were anything but talking.â
âBut I heard you!â the elderly woman scolded.
âWell, we did something much more fun than talking,â Taeyong explained, but before the librarian could chide more, you laughingly escaped to the outside.
âSo about the partyâŚâ he then started as the libraryâs door closed behind you. âSince weâre technically no strangers anymoreâŚâ
You rolled your eyes, but smiled. âPerhaps, Iâll come to the party.â
âAnd then move on to check off the other points?â He smirked.
You stuck your tongue out at him, but were really looking forward to tonight.

Marijon - My Secret Older Sister
Her name is Marinette Amani Al-Ghul. Marinette is the first grandchild of the demon-head and the daughter of Talia Al-Ghul. She is also the older sister of Damian Al-Ghul by two years. Despite what others may think, both she and her brother came from the same man. Bruce Wayne. Although Damian has no idea who his father is, Marinette has known for eight years. Despite the young age of 12, she was an incredibly smart girl. She also possessed the ability to be happy and feel love. But not in front of anyone but her brother and sometimes her mother. She and her brother had a great relationship. They were always there for each other. Damian was there for Marinette when her grandfather Ra's would sometimes beat her for not doing well on a mission. And he would base it solely on her gender. Marinette was there for Damian the first time Damian had to kill someone. It disgusted him, but he continued doing it for the sake of his title. Â
Then the day the League fell came. Slade had attacked when Ra's was showing the whole League to Damian and explaining that it would all one day be his. Marinette was standing behind them next to her mother. Ra's had told her mother to grab both of them and run. Marinette protected her brother throughout it all when suddenly, Marinette got shot in the stomach. She collapsed in pain. She saw her mother running back to them, so Marinette let go of Damian, who was looking at her worriedly, "Damian, my akhi, go run, save yourself. Tell Mother to take you to Father. I'll be fine."
Damian was crying now, "NO, I won't leave you, you have to come with me. Please don't leave me, ukhti."
Marinette smiled sadly. She then hugged Damian and kissed him on the cheek, "I love you. And I promise I will find you one day." She let go of his hand as Talia quickly grabbed his arm and lead him to the docks, glancing at Marinette once in worry.
Marinette was lying still for a little bit before she heard a voice say, "Tom, I found her!" Marinette turned her head to the side and saw her godmother, Sabine Cheng recently Dupain-Cheng, hurrying over to her, with her godfather Tom not too far behind.
When they reached her, they gasped at the wound in her stomach. Tom picked her up and quickly walked to the docks with Sabine following. "Where we going?" Marinette said her voiced slurring, herself only half-conscious due to the blood loss.
Sabine answered, "We're going to Paris. We had a house there just in case we ever had to escape the League."
Marinette nodded in turn before she closed her eyes, letting the exhaustion take over. "Good night," she heard before she was fully asleep. Â
Marinette woke up to an unfamiliar scene. She tensed, but when she caught sight of her godparents, she relaxed, "So what's the plan?"
Sabine was the one who answered", Well, you aren't allowed to act like the devil in disguise." Marinette scoffed, but she didn't argue, knowing Sabine was right. She may be sweet with her family, but with strangers and acquaintances, she wasn't the nicest. "Also, you are going to be Marinette Dupain-Cheng. You are the daughter of two bakers, Tom and I, and you are a designer. You will also be clumsy and stutter a lot."
Marinette nodded in understanding, "Okay, but what about Damian?"
Sabine sighed, "You're just going to have to hope that one day you find each other again."
Marinette nodded in understanding. She then went up to her new room, ready to put on a mask for the rest of the world to see.
(Time Skip)
It was now the start of the tenth grade for Marinette. She was now thirteen-years-old, and she was ready to play her part of the clumsy baker's daughter. She took some macaroons for her new classmates and then walked outside. While she waited to cross the street, she caught sight of a man crossing the street. A car was heading right to him. Regardless of who she was pretending to be, she wasn't going to let a man get hurt. She ran and quickly pulled him to the sidewalk, effectively using it as an excuse to trip over her feet. She handed the man a macaroon and then ran to school.
At school, she sat down quietly in her seat. When a dark girl, with brown hair and auburn highlights, picked a fight with a blonde girl. The blonde girl was supposedly bullying Marinette. Marinette and the blonde girl exchanged looks, acknowledging that the girl before them was a load of bull. Marinette then found out that the blonde girl's name was Chloe, and she was a bully, and the other girl was Alya.
Marinette looked around the classroom, analyzing everybody.
She then heard a voice scream, "Kim!"
She looked behind her to see a big, burly blonde kid, look like he wanted to beat up somebody. The teacher then asked him, "Ivan, what is going on?"
The blonde kid replied, "It's Kim! I'm so going to get..."
The teacher then pointed to the door and shouted, "Ivan, go to the principal's office."
Before Ivan could stomp off angrily, Marinette spoke up, quite surprised by the way the teacher was handling things, "With all due respect Miss, you didn't even listen to Ivan's side of the story. It could be Kim that's bullying Ivan, but you're rather playing favoritism."
The teacher sputtered, not knowing how to react, "Who gave you the authority to question my teaching skills?"
Marinette smirked, replying, " Common sense."
Mrs. Bustier walked out of the classroom to calm down, pure fury clear on her face. That day she turned into Zombispect. When she kissed them, they would automatically obey and respect her. That was also the day Lady Spots and Chat Noir resided in Paris.
While Lady Spots was a great superhero, Chat Noir was an incompetent fool. Marinette hated him. He would always flirt with her and never get anything done. And in many cases, if he didn't get what he wanted, he would either threaten to quit or sit out. Marinette never told him, but she honestly thought that she did better in battle when he wasn't around.
In terms of her civilian life, Alya convinced herself that she was Marinette's best friend and that Marinette had a crush on Adrien. In actuality, Marinette's best friend was and is her brother, Damian, and Chloe. While Chloe was spoiled, she was also neglected by her parents, which made her act rather bitchy at times. And she for sure did not have a crush on the spineless Adrien Agreste. No one in the class knew anything about the real her. But her godparents and even Chloe, who knew a bit about her. But, the one person that Marinette wanted to talk to was her precious little brother. She needed to hug him, spoil him, and talk with him about everything. But most of all, she wanted to know that he was still alive and happy somewhere.
Marinette would cry herself to bed every day, hoping that one day she would see him again. Thankfully, Tikki was on her side.
(Time Skip of one year. This is after Volpina, but before Chameleon)
It has been two years since Marinette last saw her brother. Alya was still going strong, coming up with ridiculous plans for her to date Adrien. She was still a "clumsy" baker girl. And while designing was her supposed hobby, after about a month, she really got into it. What pissed Marinette off the most was that she had to wear pink, have her room pink, and wear pigtails. Why? Because it strengthened the fact that she was an innocent, little, naive girl. While it did help people underestimate her, it annoyed the heck out of her. She actually ranted to her godparents one day about how bad her appearance was, "How can one color be so bright?! How could anyone like looking at it?! Why the hell do these pigtails make me look like a short-ass baby?! I look like a fucking moron! Where the hell is Damian when you need him?!" It was about three days later when her question was answered.
Marinette had been walking around town when suddenly someone bumped into Marinette. Â Marinette caught herself and caught the person she bumped into. But the words that came out of the person's mouth had her reeling, "Tt, what type of imbecile are you to be bumping into people on the street?" Marinette would know that voice anywhere. And sure enough, when she actually looked at the person that she bumped into, she was staring into the face of her brother. When he realized who she was, he let out a timid, "Marinette," that had Marinette practically sobbing.
When she found that her face was wet, she realized that she was sobbing, but she didn't care. Damian was alive. She strangled him with a hug, cooing softly into his ear once he too started crying. They stayed like that for a while before they released each other. It was then that Marinette saw the boy standing behind Damian.
She blushed when she noticed his features, black hair like her own, the bluest, purest eyes she had ever seen. He was wearing glasses that gave him a nerdy look, but his body begged to differ. He was very tall, probably 5ft 11, and had huge muscles that gave off more of a jock look. He had so many characteristics that Marinette felt insanely attracted. She snapped out of her thoughts and offered the boy a hand, "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, or Marinette Al-Ghul, Damien's older sister by two years."
He gave her a blinding smile that could rival the sun and then kissed her hand, "Jonathan Kent, Jon for short. It's nice to meet the sister of my best friend." The more she studied him, the more she realized that he looked familiar. It was then that she realized he was Superboy, the superhero Alya had been raving about last week.
Marinette blushed at him kissing her hand. She then decided to let her inner devil come out to play. Leaning closer, she whispered, "It's nice to meet you too. I hope that you have been nice to my brother. Because if I found out you haven't, I might get my katana and skin you. I know that you might be invincible, but with the kryptonite, which I do have, you would be weakened within a second. So make your decisions carefully." She then leaned back and watched how his expression changed. His face went from happy, to confused, to shocked, to scared, and the surprisingly, love.
He smirked, "Well, you are better than I expected." He then pulled out a piece of paper and wrote his phone number. "Call me, you're hot and a little devil, I like it." He then winked and gave it to her.
They both heard Damian scream, "KENT! Stay away from my sister before I skin you!"
Marinette giggled and took the piece of paper from him. She then asked, "You look to be about my age. Why are you with Damian?"
Jon replied, "I'm 15-years-old. So one year older than you. (I know that Jon is actually three years younger in Super Sons, but for this to work, Jon is three older, not younger. If you have any problems with that, fight me.) And Damian and I work together a lot. We're considered the Super Sons, so we're best friends."
Marinette nodded in understanding before suggesting that they all go to a coffee shop to talk. Damian and Jon agreed. Damian told Marinette all about their father, their brothers, and sisters, him being Robin. He told her everything. She offered him support and asked questions about their family.
When it was her turn, she explained how Tom and Sabine saved her and how she came to Paris. And how she is pretending to be a clumsy sweet girl who likes pink. (She wasn't totally over the whole pink thing along with the pigtails.) Â That coaxed a laugh out of both Damian and Jon. But when she got to the part about Alya, Damian wanted to skin Alya. He was Marinette's best friend, not some dumb harlot. When she explained how she was Lady Spots, and Chat Noir had some major failings as a partner, it took both Jon and Marinette to hold him back. He continued trying to escape while shouting, "LET ME AT HIM, HE DARE FLIRT WITH MY SISTER!!! I'LL SKIN HIS SORRY ASS BEFORE RIPPING HIM INTO SHREDS AND DUMPING HIM IN A RIVER!" He then continued to explain exactly how he would kill Chat Noir. Marinette knew that he was capable of going through with his plan, so she distracted him by asking for his phone number so that they could stay in contact. Damian calmed down enough to give it to her.
When she realized how late it was, she gave a hug and promised to meet up with him for the rest of the week. She also promised that once he left Paris, she would stay in contact. She wasn't going to leave her brother again. She then went up to Jon and kissed his cheek before saying goodbye. She then turned around and went home. If she had stayed a second longer, she would have seen Jon blush and then touch the cheek that she kissed with his fingertips, a goofy smile adorning his lips. Although Damian wanted to keep Jon away from his sister, he supposed Jon was better than the mangy cat or the spineless model.
For the rest of the week, the three met up every day and did different activities. One day they went to the Lourve, another an arcade, the day after that a carnival, and so on. On their last day, they went to the park and then went for Andre's ice cream. When they arrived, Andre greeted Marinette, "Bonjour Marinette! Would you like a sweetheart ice cream."
"Oui Andre. This is my brother Damian, and his friend Jon." She then turned to the boys, "Andre is the sweetheart's ice cream maker. He essentially gives you icecream based on the characteristics of your soul mate. Damian, how about you go first."
Damian stepped in front of the cart, "Ah, Damian, one scoop of violet and honey for her eyes, coconut ash for her hair, and cherry for her mysterious and complicated past. Here you are." (There is actually such a thing as black ice cream. It's made with coconut ash that people sometimes flavor with burnt honey vanilla.)
Damian took the ice cream and looked at it. He then realized that it looked like Raven, his crush. He blushed. "Ah, I see the love fair and true. I suppose you know who is right for you?" Damian nodded and started eating his ice cream, a small smile gracing his lips. He then paid attention to his sister and his best friend. They were now getting their ice cream.
Andre looked at the two and said, "Ah, but here's the truth, the two of you are the right match. You complete each other just like one, so come, let Andre supply you with love." Marinette and Jon were both surprised by the turn of events. But they both just blushed and agreed. Andre then said, "Blueberry for both your eyes, strawberry for her lips, cherry for his secret, and cotton candy for your personalities. Enjoy!"
Jon and Marinette waved goodbye and then ate their ice cream. They were still surprised about the turn of events. Neither knew what to say to the other until picked up some courage and asked, "Would you like to be my girlfriend?"
Marinette was surprised but agreed. They shared a chaste kiss. They then heard Damian gagging in the background. They broke apart, and Jon raised an eyebrow, "You're one to talk. I saw your ice cream. It really represented, mmph." Damian covered Jon's mouth before he could blurt out the name of his sweetheart.
"Kent looks like it's time to go! By the way, if you hurt my sister, I won't hesitate to kill you." He then dragged Jon off, leaving Marinette to chuckle to herself. The next day, she said goodbye to Damian and Jon. She gave them both a quick hug along with an extra kiss for Jon. She was so happy that she had found her brother again.
(Time Skip of three years)
It has been three years since Marinette bumped into Damian and Jon in Paris. The two visited whenever they could, the same with Marinette. But they never told their families. Marinette didn't tell her family because they didn't know she was Ladybug. Damian didn't tell because he wanted his sister to himself. Jon didn't tell because the other two didn't. Jon's and Marinette's relationship was still going strong. They loved each other very much. Jon loved how playful and happy Marinette could be, but she wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone. She was his little devil. Marinette loved Jon because of how pure and sunshiny he was. She loved how he cared for her and was always there for her no matter what. Damian actually started a relationship with Rachel Roth otherwise known as Raven as Andre's ice cream had indicated all those years ago.
During the three years, many things had changed, though. A girl named Lila came and turned everyone against her except Chloe. Marinette pretended that she was sad, but really she was ecstatic that she didn't have to hang out with morons anymore. She found Lila quite pathetic. Lila let others do her dirty work for her. She hid behind lies and morons. Marinette never found her as a threat.
She also defeated Hawkmoth a year ago, but it was because he surrendered. So, she didn't take him to jail, she made him donate thousands of dollars to people who needed therapy from the akumas and do community service. He agreed, so she let him go. She was glad that Gabriel Agreste had learned his lesson.
Yeah, for the most part, everything was going fine, she wasn't stuck with morons, and she had her brother and boyfriend. Until her brother and significant idiot forgot that her bio family didn't know about her.
It was the end of another shitty day for Marinette. She collapsed on her chaise. She looked at the time and realized that it was time for her's and Damian's video calls. She groaned before getting up and getting her phone. She dialed his number before waiting for him to pick up. Once he did, she saw that Jon was with him. They all talked together animatedly. What Damian and Jon forgot to do, was make sure that the Bat-family didn't come back from patrol while they were still on the call. But naturally, the two idiots forgot.
So, two hours later, when the three were still talking, they didn't realize when Jason came into the room. They only did when Jason screamed, "Demon Spawn and Supes Junior are talking to a girl on the phone!" This alerted the rest of the Waynes, so they all ran into Damian's room. When they entered, they were met with quite a sight. A confused Jason was watching a small pixie-like girl screaming at Jon and Damian in what seemed to be Arabic, Urdu, Russian, English, French, Spanish, Romanian, and Greek.
Once she calmed down, although she was still glaring at the two boys, she introduced herself, "Hi, my name is Marinette."
Dick asked her, "What's your last name?"
Marinette replied, "It depends on who your asking. Here in France, I would be Marinette Dupain-Cheng. In the league, I would be Marinette Al-Ghul. But, my real name would most likely be Marinette Wayne."
Jason yelled, "Your married to Demon Spawn!"
Marinette scowled, "No, Tt, are you always this incompetent? I am Damian's older sister by two years. I am also Jon's girlfriend of three years."
Bruce took a deep breath and pinched his nose, "And the reason none of you said anything was because?" He looked directly at Damian when asking the question.
Damian snapped, "I didn't want to share my beloved sister. She is too good for you imbeciles. She is also too good for Kent. But Kent is better than the mangy cat or the ugly model."
Everyone looked at Marinette confused except for Damian and Jon. She quickly shook her head, "Don't ask. If you want to ask me some questions, I'll be there in a minute."
Damian realizing that she was going to use the horse miraculous to transport to Gotham quickly said, "Wait, no, don't!" But she had already ended the call making Damian curse in Arabic.
Seconds later a portal appeared and a girl stepped out. She then spoke, "Kaalki, dismount." A flash appeared around her and they then saw the same girl on the phone now in front of them.
This left Wayne's gaping, while Alfred asked, "Mistress Marinette, would Kaalki I assume, need anything?"
Marinette replied, "Oui, she prefers sugar cubes to recharge. Merci, Alfred."
Then Jon got up and shouted, "My little devil!"
"Sunshine", Marinette exclaimed in joy before kissing him with full force. He kissed her back passionately. She placed her arm on his shoulders while he held her waist and lifted her a little off the ground. After a little bit, there was an awkward cough that reminded them that there were others in the room. They gave each other one more peck, before reluctantly pulling away. Although, Jon's arm was still around her waist. Marinette tried to not focus on the aching in her chest that was telling her to pounce on Jon and smother him in love and kisses while he did the same to her.
Marinette sighed and tried to focus on the situation at hand, "It's nice to meet all of you. My name is Marinette Al-Ghul Wayne, and I am Damian's sister as mentioned."
They all stared at her strangely until Tim asked, "Are you sure you grew up with Damian, or that your mother is Talia Al-Ghul? You seem a lot more different from Demon Spawn."
She smirked at them viciously, "First of all, I am for sure Damian's biological sister. Second of all, I may seem like an angel, but I'm the devil in disguise, hence Jon's nickname for me. Third of all, I'm not as arrogant as Damian because Ra's was always abusing me since I was a girl. So, I am a lot worse than Damian, I just don't show it."
No one knew what to do with this information. Sure Damian already knew about the beatings, but no one else did. They stared at her in worry, but she just waved them off, "Don't worry about me. Ra's is dead, I'm living with my godparents, and I'm happy."
Damian then rose an eyebrow, "What about your moronic classmates?"
"Oh, I didn't tell you. This pathetic girl who threatened to take my friends away, made it so that no one talks to me anymore. So, yay! Oooh, also I should probably explain my life to you?" She then went on to talk about everything, how her life was at the league, what happened when Slade attacked, Â her life in Paris and when she became Lady Spots, how she met Damian and Jon, what happened after that.
By the end of her story, everyone looked like they wanted to kill her classmates and Chat Noir. Well, almost everyone. Bruce was on the ground muttering to himself, "Why, why, why? I just wanted one of my kids to not be a superhero. Is that too much to ask for?"
While Bruce had his breakdown, Tim asked her, "Did you defeat Hawkmoth?"
"Yeah, I did. He surrendered, so I let him off with some requirements in place. I actually was thinking of doing something to expose Lila. As much as I hate the morons, their future will be horrible if they keep on listening to that pathetic bitch."
Damian looked at her curiously, "What were you thinking?
"You are going to invite my class to the Wayne Gala. There we are going to introduce the whole family, including me. Damian, you are going to bring Raven. I'll bring Jon obviously. If we disprove that she knows the Waynes, the rest of her lies will come crashing down." Everyone smiled obviously pleased with the idea.
So they spent the next month getting the gala together. They organized a contest that Bustier's class won. During the month, the Waynes got to know Marinette. While Damian did have a problem with sharing her, everyone still go to know her. They were officially scared of her after she won after sparing against everyone and then cussing at Damian in many languages. It made Jon fall more in love with her though.
Another problem was that the Waynes would walk into Jon's and Marinette's make-out sessions all the time. Once, Jon, had Marinette pushed up against a wall and he was kissing her passionately. Marinette had her hands in his hair, one of them playing with the ends of his hair. She had taken off his shirt and was kissing down his neck. Jon had groaned and had stopped her so he could kiss her neck as well making her moan in want. He was whispering about what he wanted to do with her at the same time. Through dazed eyes, Marinette looked up and finally saw her family looking at her, both Damian and Bruce had their jaws clenched. When Jon noticed them, he quickly let go of her. Dick, Jason, and Tim started laughing, cooing, and teasing them, making Marinette hide her head in his chest. This made Damian launch himself at Jon, but before he could, Marinette had already disarmed him. She screamed, "Don't hurt my boyfriend, Damian." He just huffed, but let it go. From then on, they made sure to lock the door.
It was finally the day of the gala. Marinette saw all of her classmates. They mostly looked nice, but Lila was wearing an incredibly revealing dress.
It was then time for the reveal. Bruce went up to the stage and announced, "Good evening, everybody. I am pleased that you could all attend. Today, I would like to introduce all of my children along with their significant other. To start, my oldest son Richard Grayson, also known as Dick Grayson along with his wife Kori Grayson."
(Bruce's suit)
(Dick's Suit)
(Kori's Dress)
"My son Jason Todd."
(Jason's suit)
"My son Tim Drake."
(Tim's suit)
"My son Damian Wayne with his girlfriend Rachel Roth."
(Damien's suit)
(Rachel's dress)
"Finally, my new found daughter, also Damian's biological older sister Marinette Wayne. With her date Jon Kent."
(Marinette's dress)Â
(Jon's suit)
When her classmates saw Marinette they started screaming insults. She just raised an eyebrow at them, "Is there a problem?"
Alya yelled, "Yeah there is. You're not a Wayne, you never told me that you were."
Marinette replied, "We were never best friends so I was under no obligation to tell you anything. I am a Wayne. I just lived with my godparents in Paris until my dad found out about me. I am dating my handsome boyfriend, Jonathan Kent. I have given you so much proof. How about you question Lila. She claimed that she was dating Damian. Damian is two years younger than her and he is dating Rachel. She isn't close to the Waynes, I am. So, stop questioning me and question her."
Everyone looked at Lila, but she was incredibly pale. That showed everyone that she was lying. They started yelling at her. Bruce then spoke up, "Security, escort this class out of the gala." As security did so, no one stopped yelling at Lila.
Marinette and Jon then turned to the reporters and Marinette said, "Five questions go."
She pointed to one reporter, "Where do you live?"
"Paris like I mentioned earlier."
She pointed to another, "How old are you?"
"I am 17-years-old, almost 18."
She pointed to a third one, "Were you surprised about being a Wayne?"
"No, I knew that I was a Wayne my whole life. But I was sent to my godparents instead of my dad like Damian. But I still knew." She pointed to her family, "They were surprised about my existence."
She pointed to a fourth reporter, "How do you like being a Wayne?"
"I really enjoy it. They are so nice to me. I really cherish them and we all have a lot of fun together. "
She pointed to a final reporter, "Do you like being Jonathan Kent's girlfriend and how did you meet?"
"We met when I bumped into him and my brother in Paris. We spent the week together. We got this thing called sweethearts ice cream. The ice cream tells you who your soulmate is. The guy who runs it Andre said that we were meant to be together. Jon asked me to be his girlfriend after. We have been a couple for three years. I love Jon a lot. He's really sweet and considerate. I wouldn't trade him for the world." Everyone awed.
Jon then picked her up bridal style, "Now that this is over, we'll be going home to have some fun." He winked at everyone.
Marinette blushed at the implications, "JON!" But, Jon silenced her with a passionate kiss, carrying her off the stage.
As Marinette kissed him back, she felt so happy. She had a loving family and boyfriend. They accepted her and cherished her.
She didn't know that the league was going to be attacked, but it helped her grow as a person and escape abuse. She didn't know that she would get a boyfriend. She didn't know she would ever meet her little brother ever again or meet her family. She didn't know what the future had in store for her. But she did know that she was going to spend it with her boyfriend and her family, and nothing was going to stop her.

Despite the thumping music and the din of bar conversation in the background, you can hear her perfectly fine, seeing as youâre sealed in the tiny bathroom together. You met her a moment ago in line, after you almost stumbled into her and she immediately proceeded to compliment your dress. Now youâre chatting like longtime pals.
A universal feminine experience, a distant part of your mind thinks, with a fuzzy sense of warmth.
âYeah but youâre so lucky though,â you tell her earnestly, while washing your hands. âMy boys hardly ever dance with me, theyâre soo lame.â You make an exaggerated pouty face.
You only ever went out with your boys- Frankie, Will, Benny, and Santiago. You had other friends at work, but werenât quite at the âletâs go out dancing togetherâ stage with any of them yet. Benny and Santi actually did dance, but while you loved them to pieces, it wasnât quite the same.
Tonight you had reunited at one of your usual spots- a basement bar that was a bit on the divey side, but just trendy enough to have designated space for a dance floor.
âOh my gosh, you should totally come dance with me and my friends! Every girl needs a girl friend group to dance with.â She looks at looks at you with wide, serious eyes and all the sage certainty of a perfectly tipsy person.
âOh my gosh, thatâs so nice!â Youâre genuinely touched at her invitation. âAnd so true,â you add a beat later, nodding with conviction. You shift away from the sink as she flushes the toilet.
âYeah!â The brown-haired woman continues to rave about her friends while she washes her hands. âReady?â
Arm in arm, you leave the bathroom together. You halt almost immediately, however, as the colored lights of the dance floor change abruptly, blinding you with white strobes. You both shriek and giggle as you throw your hands up in defense. You decide to remain where you are while you try to locate her friends.
She spies something else first. âOooh, donât look, but there is an absolute Adonis of a man checking you out right now at one of the tables.â
You donât look, keeping your intrigue under wraps as you continue to scan the room. âOoh, what does he look like?â
Santiago Garcia had been keeping an eye on the restrooms waiting for you to return, but his relief at your reappearance turns to curiosity as you exit with a woman heâs never seen before. His interest in her fades quickly, though, as the sweeping lights highlight your grinning face and that close-fitting dress. Everything else seems to fade to his peripheries.
He doesnât know what it is, but heâs captivated by you tonight. Maybe itâs that you havenât seen as much of each other lately, everyone busy with work and life. He thought heâd been elated at the prospect of a group get-together this evening, but when he kept finding himself frustrated at the guys stealing your attention from him, he wondered if it was just you heâd been excited to see.
Maybe itâs the fact that he can see every man in a ten-foot radius of you right now doing the same thing he is: checking you out. Sizing you up like nothing more than a trophy to add to their collection, as if any of them were good enough for you.
His fingers tighten around his beer as Santiago drags a dark gaze down you. Thinking of all the memories he has associated with you, all the things heâs seen your body do- a connection none of these other suckers can claim. In his brooding, he doesnât notice the woman beside you noticing him.
âThere they are!â Brown Hair squeals. She drags you around the edge of the dance floor to where several people are waving.
Thereâs a flurry of introduction, but you donât catch any of their names over the music. A tall woman with noticeably muscled arms; another with deep brown skin and a halo of dense, tiny, blue-dyed curls; a third whose accented greeting youâre just able to catch as the music fades briefly.
Taking advantage of the quiet, Brown Hair speaks. âAll right girls, now listen. There was an obscenely gorgeous man checking out our new friend a second ago, and I bet he still is. A few tables behind us, with the hair?â
With the hair? She and you are facing the dance floor, but her friends are facing the barâs tables, one of which your future man is apparently sitting at. With outstanding coordination and nonchalance, they all manage to identify him over your shoulders, and whistle their approval.
The one whoâŚ?â You strain to hear Arm Muscleâs question, but itâs lost beneath a suddenly surging bassline.
Brown Hair darts a quick glance over shoulder and nods.
âThat is some nice hair, and I would know,â the blue-afroed beauty smirks and winks at you, before grabbing your hand and tugging you slightly further onto the dance floor. Still close enough to the edge to be plenty visible to anyone seated at a table. âDonât you worry, weâll get you that man.â
âI havenât even seen him!â You protest with a laugh, even as you follow her willingly.
âGirl, all you need to know is that he is insanely hot.â The one with the accent speaks from close behind you. âAs your designated girl friend group for tonight, itâs our duty to help you lure him in.â
Conversation becomes impossible in the rhythm of the crowd. You follow their lead, let their hips and hands guide your movements, losing yourself in the uninhibited joy of moving your body to the thumping music. In the whirl of unself-conscious beings all around you, you momentarily forget what brought you out here in the first place.
Until, after some unknown amount of time, Brown Hair twirls to face you. âHeâs on the move!â She waggles her eyebrows.
You remember then that youâre supposed to be dancing for some guy. Youâre still facing away from the tables, but from in front of you Blue Hair has a clear view over your shoulder. âMmm, look at his hunky blond friends,â she purrs. âThink heâll bring them over too?â
Wait. Surely they couldnât meanâŚ? There had to be more than one table in here with two hunky blond men at it, right??
She spins you around, and you follow her pointing to where Benny and Santiago are standing at their table, the former clapping the latter on the back. Eyes widening, youâre nearly beside yourself wondering which of your boys the girls could possibly be referring to- until Santiago detaches himself from the group.
âYour man is coming!â Accent squeals.
âWait, he was the one checking me out?â you hiss frantically.
âUndressing you with his eyes, babe,â Brown Hair nods knowingly. The others make sounds of confirmation.
Popeâs dark eyes pin you as makes his way across the room. He weaves through the tables like they arenât even there, like youâre the only thing worth his attention. Your lips part in shock.
Youâd always thought the vague chemistry between you and Santiago was merely a side effect of his natural sexual charisma. Like a power he could turn on and off at will, youâd seen it in action enough times to recognize it. Although...it had never occurred to you to wonder if the chemistry was not, in fact, a side effect, but rather an intended result. Had Santi been deliberately using his powers on you?
Watching him go, Benny chortles. His gaze slides past Santiago to the other women who are still blatantly eyeing their table. âLooks like you might be DD for just yourself tonight, Catfish.â He smirks devilishly and runs a hand through his hair. âCome on, brother.â Will doesnât react to his siblingâs invitation as he saunters after Pope, only sipping his beer contemplatively.
Frankie snorts at the older brotherâs obvious interest. âGet out of here man, theyâre definitely checking you out, too. Iâll hang here for a little while longer.â
Will cracks a smile. Draining his glass, he unfurls himself from the table, bright blue eyes roving appreciatively over the women flanking you.
âYouâre the man, Francisco.â The taller blond gives him a nod of thanks before following his brother.
Frankie only shakes his head, a faint smile on his lips as he observes the scene unfolding between you and Pope. Finally.
With the hair, indeed. That should have tipped you off straightaway. Youâve been encouraging Santi to grow out his gorgeous curls for probably as long as youâve known him, but he rarely took leave for long enough to gain any measurable growth. Even short, however, his greying locks reflect the colors of the roaming spotlights as he approaches, making his beauty even more otherworldly.
Dumb with surprise, you donât have time to plan any kind of reaction before Santiago is there, standing before you with one upturned hand outstretched. âCan I cut in?â
Cooing, your new friends part to allow him unhindered access to you. Although thereâs a suave sort of expectancy on his face- he knows what the girls were doing- even in the dim, shifting light you can see the genuine question in his eyes.
Youâre still unsure of what heâs playing at, but Santi has never let you down before. Your hand doesnât waver as you place it in his.
His fingers curl around yours, warm and reassuring. He tears his gaze from you only to briefly address the girls: âMy friends are single, by the way.â
As if on cue, you all become aware of Benny and Will sidling up in Santiagoâs wake, like two blond, shameless, bad ideas.
Santi is wearing that big shit-eating grin when he turns back to you, and you canât help but smile at his familiar antics. Laughing, you let him sweep you away, guiding you toward a more remote corner of the dance floor and into a sway thatâs breathtakingly gentler than what you were expecting, given the moves with which you and the girls were taunting him.
(If his hold feels gentle, he makes sure it doesnât look that way: flexing his arms where they rest around your waist and brushing his nose along your hairline, breathing you in and sending menacing glowers to anyone still looking at you.)
Youâve never been this lost for words around Santiago. Youâve danced with him before, technically; but it had never felt like this. You want to speak, but your tongue feels clumsy in your mouth, heavy with the energy between you. As your thoughts churn, his hold shifts, one arm wrapping all the way around your waist to draw you nearer, the other sliding up your spine, fingertips tracing the skin above the back of your dress.
It may have only been a song or two during which you held each other, but it felt like much longer. His light caress sets the blood fizzing in your veins, sparkling like drink mixers, sweet with the promise of bright memories to come.
Finally he speaks. âIs this okay?â Santi murmurs.
Hearing his warm voice in your ear, instead of making you more nervous, grounds you. That familiar, steady timbre, his quiet confidence and trust in you to answer him truthfully. Which you do, because you trust him, too.
âVery,â you profess into his neck. Your nose nearly tucks beneath the collar of his button-down. âSantiâŚâ you hesitate, knowing you want to ask but unsure of what the question is.
He waits, his subtle swaying never faltering.
âWhy tonight?â Itâs a vague, possibly lame cop-out of a question, but itâs the only way you can think to phrase it. Heâll understand though. Santi can play the fool when he wants, but he knows you, and now isnât the time.
For several heartbeats, the only response is the rasp of his stubble against your jaw. You swear you feel his lips brush your skin, but before you can properly register the sensation heâs withdrawing to answer.
âMmm...Well, I donât need to tell you what those dance moves of yours do to me.â He pinches your side in emphasis, but despite your squirm and flush, you scoff. Santi has seen you dance like that before- heâs been the one dancing with you like that before.
Santiago chuckles, the sound liquid dark. He knew you wouldnât buy that. âHonestly, I donât know. Seeing all these other assholes eyeing you up like theyâd have a chance...I couldnât stop myself. Iâm just putting them out of their misery, really.â
You snort at his dismissive shrug, knowing his irreverence masks real emotion. You can read it in the lines of his face, each one as dear and familiar to you as the beauty marks on your own. Green and red lights stripe his skin as you study them.
He canât quite meet your gaze, suddenly. âWhat are you staring at,â Santi grumbles, burying his face in your neck again.
You giggle at his gruffness, at his breath huffing on the sensitive skin.
âJust your pretty face, Santi,â you croon. You tighten your arms around his shoulders, deliberately wiggling closer so youâre pressed more firmly against him.
His sharp, surprised inhale juts into your chest. But any response he might have given is lost beneath the sudden blare of trumpets from the speakers.
The familiar melody makes you both pause. You lean back just far enough to meet Santiagoâs eye; you know heâs anticipating the same thing you are and you both shout: âShakira, Shakira!â
You squeal as Santi leaps back from you, grabbing your hands and twirling you in a familiar routine. âHips Donât Lieâ had become, thanks to Benny, Popeâs song, a claim he always pretended to roll his eyes at when the boys brought it up. But he secretly loved it, and rarely missed a chance to show off why.
Your muscles leap into action as he does just that, dancing you to the Latin beat. Youâre breathless with laughter, sweat beading on your hairline.
I donât, donât really know what Iâm doing, but you seem to have a plan...
The tripping guitar notes swirl around you, but Santiago doesnât let you stumble. He guides you in time with the pounding percussion, his whole body undulating to the rhythm.
All the attraction, the tension...
His arms cross above your head as Santi spins you so your back is pressed to his chest. He holds you close, hands low on your hips, and you lean back into him, relishing the strength in the muscles shifting against your spine. Warmth radiates from him, all-encompassing. He hooks his chin over your shoulder and you turn your head to look at him.
His face is much closer than you were expecting; a thrill bursts in your chest. Curiosity kindles, however, as you take in his expression. Youâre not sure if you recognize it. Happy, but searching- like heâs gauging your reaction, or seeing something he hasnât before.
You donât have time to dwell on it, though- the song is approaching Bennyâs favorite line. You tip your head as if listening, raising your eyebrows at Santi expectantly.
His eyes widen, sparking with recognition at your signal. You jump away-
Let me see you move like you come from ColumbiaâŚ
The saxophone trills its long, fluttering note and you whoop in admiration at the sight before you. Santiago loops his hips rapidly, letting them sling him in a circle, his elbows held square at chest level. His lips form an âoâ of concentration in a spicy expression that would make anyone else look ridiculous. But Santiâs obvious skill and the self-assured confidence with which he always carries himself only makes the whole thing ridiculously sexy.
Santiâs movements cause his shirt to ride up, exposing a sliver of taut, tan skin. Shamelessly you appreciate the visible, flexing muscles in his arms and thighs. His butt in those jeans.
He is grinning and giddy when he faces you again, one corner of his smile crooking higher as he witnesses your glee. Laughing, Santi pulls you back into his arms.
âHow many times have you seen me dance like that, cariĂąo? And every time you have the same reaction.â His voice is breathless in your ear.
You bite your lip at the warmth of his broad hands, at what is definitely the kiss of his mouth on your skin.
âI like your dancing, Santi,â you say simply. His pulse thrums beneath your lips as you slowly skim them up his neck in return.
Into the line of his jaw you admit â...I like when you dance with me.â
Santiago brings one hand up to cradle your head, leaning back slightly to look at you. His brown eyes are full of affection. âI love dancing with you.â Creases fan out from his eyes as he smiles and he is so beautiful it makes your heart squeeze.
The moment hovers, both of you hardly daring to hope. Your gaze skips down to his lips despite your best efforts.
You know he sees it when his grasp tightens, his hold at the nape of your neck becoming more deliberate. His face is merely a breath away.
âCariĂąo?â he murmurs. Youâre surprised to see the faintest trace of uncertainty, the question in his eyes. Heâs asking if youâre sure.
One eyebrow quirks the tiniest bit. âSanti?â You are.
The uncertainty vanishes, and you kiss him.
He lets out a soft groan in the back of his throat. He hauls you as close as he possibly can, and you arch into him, trying to get closer.
You plunge your hands into his silvery curls with a sigh of satisfaction. Youâve touched his hair before, but never like this- never used it to hold his face to yours. The damp traces of sweat as you twist your fingers in it only add to the surreal euphoria of it all. The flashing lights leave colored impressions against your closed eyelids; the music is a muffled, fading pulse as your senses fill with him.
The sturdy press of Santiagoâs body, the smell of him- lingering cologne and the musk of his earlier exertions. His mouth velvety hot, his tongue curling against your own in a way that makes heat expand low in your belly. Increasing desperation infects both of you as you realize you should have done this ages ago.
Dimly you become aware of raucous cheers coming from somewhere nearby. With a gasp you pull your mouth from Santiâs, chest heaving. His lust-blown eyes clear somewhat as you share a shy grin.
Then he looks up, toward where the Miller brothers and your girls are hooting at you. Benny cackles as Santiago gives them a one-fingered salute. You shrug helplessly at the girls, noticing with delight the way theyâve paired off: Benny with his arms around both Accent and Arm Muscles; next to them, Blue Hairâs beautiful brown skin contrasting with Willâs paler complexion.
Overcome with mischief, you duck your head into Santiagoâs neck again. Placing your lips where it curves into his shoulder, you flutter your tongue delicately against the flesh before biting down with purpose, laving and nibbling to leave a mark.
Santi sucks in air and you feel a subtle shudder wrack his body. He is still facing your friends; scandalized oooohs sound from their direction, and you're impishly delighted to have made him react in some visible way.
His grip on your head shifts so that one thumb is pressed beneath your chin, guiding your head back up to look at him. He breathes your name, his expression dangerous- but questioning all the same.
Radiating innocence, you grin in answer. âWanna get out of here, Santi?â
Relief quickly vanishes beneath the promising gleam in his eyes as he takes your hand.

I just saw some Anti-Scott people criticise Scott for the library scene in 5x18, for "putting everybody in danger" by leading the Beast to the children. They really do anything to villanise Scottđ¤Śđźââď¸
I, thankfully, have never seen any anti-Scott people making that argument. It would be incredible. It would require them to ignore more than ten minutes of footage before that scene. It would require them to ignore what the library means to Scott for 78 previous episodes. It would require them to ignore cinematographic language and musical cues. It would require them to imagine that Jeff Davis intended that scene to attack Scott. It would be such an extremely toxic take that I can't picture someone attaching to their name to this atrociously bad criticism.
So, of course, I believe you 100%.
Because disproving their wretched interpretation takes less effort than doing the work I get paid to do, let me walk everyone through it. Scott, at the end of A Credible Threat (5x17), was inside the school trying to calm Kira down after her fight with Lori. Outside, due to the Desert Wolf's interference, Malia had failed to prevent the high-frequency broadcast, which triggered Mason's transformation into the Beast. The episode ended with Scott hearing screaming students seeking shelter in the school with the Beast pursuing the students.
Interwoven with the Beast's origin story in The Maid of Gevaudan (5x18), we see Scott fight a running battle with the Beast through the halls of the school. Only Scott is fighting the Beast, because a badly hurt Liam is being cared for by Stiles and Hayden and an unharmed Malia is looking for Stiles, worried for him because of both the Beast and her biological mother's threat. Scott fights to save a girl in the chemistry classroom, fights the Beast in the hallway, and finally seeks refuge in the library in order to catch his breath. None of this is imagined by me -- it's all visible on the screen. The Beast has been chasing students and Scott through the school for an entire episode before Scott's and the Beast's climactic confrontation in the library.
This confrontation is initiated because Scott, bloody and beaten, realizes while leaning against the table to rest for a moment that there are close to two dozen students hiding in the library. He decides to make a stand there, in the place where he was murdered and resuscitated only a few weeks ago, and to face probably death to save those students, only one whose name the audience knows at this point. "Go upstairs."
Their lives were already in terrible danger, unless you think that La Bete, a creature described by Gerard Argent in Damnatio Memoriae (5x12) as "A monster whose only purpose was to kill. Not for sustenance, not for revenge, not for any rational impulse other than the drive to end life wherever it's found." was going to spare their lives and go for a froyo instead. But sure, Scott was the one who endangered them.
I wonder if this argument appears in #anti scott mccall. I don't go to that tag, so I can't be sure, and I've never seen it shown up in the #scott mccall tag, though I've seen takes there almost as bad as this one.
There's a edgy sort of desperation in these attacks, as they flail uselessly trying to tell people that Scott wasn't a hero at all, that he was motivated by simplistic morals, vanity, selfishness, or -- at the height of racist absurdity -- by an arcane conspiracy led by his black mentor. In their fever-like Flat-Eartherish zeal, they will declare that Scott never did a single good thing the entire show, ignoring the reality that he has an iron-clad claim to heroism by simply showing up to fight the Beast.
In order to deny that they would have to ignore the fact that Scott fell unconscious with every expectation that he was dying, six times in the two years represented by Seasons 1 through 5: Co-Captain (1x10), Raving (2x08), Frayed (3x05), Alpha Pact (3x11), Time of Death (4x08), and Status Asthmaticus (5x10). As a high school senior, he had no moral obligation to get out there and try to stop the Beast, Theo, and the Dread Doctors once again. He had taken no oaths, he wasn't getting paid, and he certainly wasn't being supported. It's just amazing to me that the anti-Scott people can look at his behavior and find nothing laudable at all, when at any time, Scott could have said "I'm done," picked up the phone, called his dad and moved away to finish high school. He could have made the Beast and Theo and the Doctors someone else's problem, like Chris Argent or Sheriff Noah "Useless Nepotist" Stilinksi. Instead of saving that girl, he could have gone out the window himself and went home; he could have simply left.
You know, like Derek Hale did.
You see what I did there? That sentence is true: Derek Hale did leave. But that sentence also strips the event of all context and nuance. Reducing Derek's departure at the end of season four to simply leaving ignores everything that's gone before and his entire character development. It also unfairly maligns the character when real life intruded, as Tyler Hoechlin wanted to leave. It was a way for the writers to integrate what had to happen, using Hoechlin's departure and Derek's departure to highlight Scott's full embrace of his status as alpha. It was a decision by the production to heighten the action, you know, like having Scott catch his breath in the library to discover students hiding there raises the stakes for his confrontation with the Beast.
If you had brought up this argument to me in 2016 when I first joined the fandom, I would have scoffed at you, because I wouldn't believe that someone could watch that scene and come to that conclusion. But I've endured this insidious campaign by extremists for five years, and I've watched it influence how the fandom views the show, and it's just as risible and racist as it was when I first noticed it. They have no limits. I'm waiting for them to claim that Scott allowed one of those six times I mentioned above to happen in order to get attention. It's bound to happen.
