i think one aspect of sebtaker that needs to be explored more is UT’s inclusion with the phantomfam. he’s ciel’s grandpa so it just makes sense for him to be included, also since he’s together with sebastian

also, he would definitely protect ciel/the manor like the servants do. i can picture it now… him brutally beating up trespassers making sure his home and grandson stay safe❤️

I really appreciate the author’s commitment to citing ancient sources in particular. I learned so much from it; that they were actually aware of lead poisoning at this time (and yet some women continued to wear lead face powder anyway bc beauty standards be that way), that looking into one another’s eyes was considered sensual & therefore any makeup that drew attention to the eyes was highly sexualised, that men wore makeup to create fake or exaggerated musculature. I just… love seeing people be people, no matter the time period.
