Her name is Katie and she is a necromancer in the Guard Dogs series by Freya Faust.

She's multiracial black, with longish black curly hair and brown eyes. Was a wrestling champ through school but at a nebulous mid-late 20s has gotten a softer body (and humps). She wears big fluffy light colored sweaters at work and graphic tees at home, and she loves dogs! Her mug is paw print, her desk calendar is dog themed, and she has four (extremely illegal) undead zombie dogs in her home named after star trek characters. She put them together out of roadkill, and she loves them very much.

And she is going to be the first mage in history to crack the problem of true human resurrection. (Or more likely, get busted for necromancy and disappeared by the magic cops)

They're so small, in the grand scheme of things, a number in a "legion," a pet, a maid, something so small as to be cast away with as soon as their use was done with. But did it have to be like that? What if they could take something back from it all? Do the members of I.M.P even know what they started the first day they entered the sinner's realm?

This is a Helluva Boss Rewrite. I feel like the show is going into places now that aren't necessarily supported by earlier episodes, and I wanted to see where the story could go if the writing was supporting that direction from the beginning. Still humorous (I think), but I'll let you be the judge of that

On old shows I will tell you from my experience

Supernatural: absolutely lots queerbait level stuff, it will make you insane. The show oscillates a lot between both ends of the spectrum. Questionably worth it to watch, the show is both really good and really bad, often at the same time.

BBC Sherlock: leans a lot more towards the bait part than the queer part, but there's some there and what's there is pretty okay. It's been a long long time since I touched this one but I remember the intro music being really nice which is something I enjoy in house so I thought to mention it. Not very good after season 2 imo.

Doctor who: haven't personally watched this one so I can't personally say anything but friends vouch for it

NBC Hannibal: not mentioned in the post, and idk if you saw it or not, but it is of that general era and also very queer, like more on the queer side than the bait I'd say. Has pretty similar vibes to house MD tbh, it's like if they made house MD more toxic, with less medical stuff and more murder and cooking.

I'd seriously recommend both Hannibal & supernatural after you're done with house, Hannibal especially more so, both because if you love house there's a great chance you'll enjoy Hannibal as well and because it's only 3 seasons in comparison to supernatural's 15
