M:Would have monitored that screen everytime she was there taking mental notes if she finds anything unusual to ask the doctor when he/she came back and ask a lot of questions about the lung donation and other stuff considering Stan and if he is getting better.It was always the same answers everytime she asked but she never gave up hope.She would never give up for Stan.Never.

S:Soos would cry everytime he saw Stan.(we all know Stan was like a father to Soos)he spend his time making him cards and showing them to him to try and comfort him and Stan.He would also tell Stan about the sales,scamming the residents of gravity falls and telling dad jokes to him to make him feel jollery.(Soos was convinced that if he told enough jokes and make him feel better it would cure him but he knew deep in his heart it would never happen)Well at least It always made him laugh.The laugh that will only be in memories now.

Me:always accompanied Soos to visit Stan and always comforted him whenever he just couldn’t take it any more.She didn’t show it there but sliently once Soos was done crying,she would sneak into the outside bathroom and break down in there.She is too scared to tell Soos this because then he would just start freaking out.Stan never knew this but she was very appreciative that Stan accepted and let Soos be his son whether or not they were relative.She would always be grateful for that.

D:would make cards for him with Pacifica and spend a bit of his money to decorate his room to make it seem more cheerful but he knew whatever he did to try and take off the gloomy feeling,the lingering feeling of death was still there.It was there and dipper could feel it and was ignoring it praying it was just the feeling of being at a hospital.Nothing could ever take it away,everyday dipper felt the feel go closer and closer toward Stan and him and he ignores it every time the feeling got closer and closer but he knew deep down it was coming soon and fast.

P: would make cards with dipper but most of them would be her apologing about her mistakes about calling him fat and ugly and all the bad things she did to him.Pacifica feels incredibly guilty and it is eating her alive but she would rather die than tel someone either than dipper.(Dipper is the only person she can really turn to a be vulnerable with because she doesn’t like to be seen to be as weak to people,she thinks that they would use it against her.)(tbh,reasonable)she just wished to open up to people without feeling judged.

W:would try to visit Stan everyday but mostly if the time would stay inside the bathroom and when she came out she wouldn’t look at Stan she would just hold his hand while looking at the floor.(She was taught by her father that crying was for the weak so she didn’t do infront of people,until one day.)

Children:when they heard about the 1000 paper cranes wish thingy,they started to make paper cranes everywhere determine to make it to a 1000 in time before it yk happens and to passed the time Stan helped out in making a few.He knew the paper cranes thingy was a hoax but who knows,it could be real.At that Stan was holding on to anything hope and all odds are usually in your favour when you are a world class gambler but for the first time,they weren’t.One time,one of the children need to use the bathroom which Wendy was using and she wondered why aunty Wendy was always inside it so she pressed her ear against the door and she heard sobbing coming form the other side.Aunty Wendy’s sobbing she suspected.(No one expect Stan had ever heard her cry or seen her cry before that’s why she wasn’t sure)Still to this day she hasn’t told anyone that she heard her crying for the first time.(she decided to keep it a secret for Aunty Wendy)

St:Stan never told anyone but he knew why Wendy was the only one who wasn’t crying when she came to visit and felt quite sad that she still had trouble opening up.He would tell her when it was time.

D-day:Everyone was gathered in Stan’s room and everyone could feel death coming slowly into the room,the children were off to the side and still folding the paper cranes hoping they could make it to 1000 before it came.Stan was on the bed next to Wendy who was day-dreaming a way.Dipper and Pacifica were slowly making new cards to show to grunkle Stan perfectly showing their childness coming out for the only time these few days.Everyone were still impatiently waiting for the doctor to come back.Mabel was staring at the computer where Stan’s heart beat was,complating and Soos was taking a nap on the couch as Melody watched her phone.Stan that day felt incredibly tired for some reason until it hit him like a sledgehammer,he was going to die.Suddenly along with that a wave of relief washed over him along with that same feeling of tiredness but he knew he wanted to do something before he died he wanted to say something to Wendy.He took his other hand and slowly put it on the had that was holding Wendy hand startling her.”Huh?!What happen Stan?”Wendy asked trying not to look him in the eye.Stan started mumbling to Wendy.”Wendy,do you know you are family and family never judge each other.You need to know this,let it go.Goodbye.”And with that,he took his last breath and his heart never beated again no matter what the doctor tried.

Have you ever noticed that ever since season one of What If introduced Captain Carter, she's been showing up a lot more than Sam Wilson as Captain America? I once queationed it, which pissed off some Peggy stans on this site to the point where I had to alter the tags so I wouldn't have to deal with them.

Oh yeah I did, trust me, you’re not the only one. Many Sam or Steve or Bucky stans and, yk, Peggy antis here on tumblr noticed it, but her stans are just too stubborn to accept it.

In my humble opinion, I think Peggy is simply a better character for marvel to sell as cap (and not for the right reasons), which is why Sam’s cap hasn’t appeared in 2/3 years and all of Steve’s appearances were butchered.

Steve is noble, all about freedom and doing what’s right. He was a disabled son of immigrants who knew struggle and, in his own words, didn’t like bullies no matter where they came from, which means that doing what was right to him was more important than any government, any authority. Civil War is all about this characterization of Steve, and it’s why he was the perfect man for the job.

Sam is like Steve. He is a noble man who knew struggle and suffering growing up, who lost loved ones, his place in the world the moment he chose to follow what was right instead of what was ordered to him. He was ridiculed and beaten down, and risked losing it all multiple times, but that never made him back down. Plus, to add fuel to the fire, the higher powers would have never accepted him as Captain America because he’s black, no matter if Captain America himself passed the mantle to him, they wouldn’t have accepted him and still didn’t right up to the finale of TFATWS. Sam is perfect for the job and mirrors Steve as the perfect Captain America of his time.

Peggy is… well, she’s nothing of these things.

Yes, she’s a woman, and so everyone would be expected to find sympathy for her, to root for her, but aside from her stans no one actually does. Peggy has a support system and respect, like it or not, and she was relevant. She’s arrogant, she’s headstrong, and she doesn’t go against the system because she is the system. She’s not a minority, she never knew struggle, hell, she lived a comfortable life up until the war and after. And marvel can use her more than Sam or Steve because she’s not troublesome like them, she’s not going to rebel the system if not for selfish reasons or plot points. She’s not Steve, she’s not Sam, and she shouldn’t be, but at the same time Peggy should not be a Captain that marvel should enforce in their media over and over again.

As Erskine said, “Because the strong man who has known power all his life may lose respect for that power, but a weak man knows the value of strength and knows... compassion.” And while Steve and Sam don’t know strength in the sense that Erskine disregards, Peggy does. And if anything, she resembles John Walker.

Not to mention she is no character of her own, she’s simply the mixture of some characters thrown together in a cauldron, and in addition she’s a Mary Sue. She is a villain masked as hero, one that is convenient as a character and can be thrown from side to side as if she was some Y/N insert in an avengers fanfic.

Not only she has made more appearances than the current Captain America, but she managed to insert herself in the majority of What If…’s storylines, even more than actual main characters. Like, you want to tell me people actually want yet another episode about Peggy or with Peggy being a major character instead of Wanda, Loki or the main six avengers? No one does, not even the stans with a functioning brain. But Marvel will not stop, and whatever chokehold Hayley Atwell has on them will last until she’ll be satisfied with the colonization of all the possible marvel projects.

So ultimately, to answer your question: yes, I did notice Sam is being overshadow by a dusty side character that should have stayed dead back in 2016. You’re not alone, and I’m glad I’m not either. If you scroll on my profile you’ll soon find an old post of mine from last year, during the MoM era, where I was talking about this issue, and a Peggy stan went ballistic and on a rant on how I was using Sam as an excuse to hate on Peggy and justify Stucky. (Btw nice move altering the hashtags, I’ve done it too and it’s been a blessing for me.)

Why is it that you can’t bring up how silly the valks winning the blood rite was without one of their stans being like “b-b-but feyre 😖😖” What about her?

The walked away from the fight with the wyrm about to get sepsis and die from her injuries. She walked away from the rainbow because she wasn’t just fighting with a sword she had her magic that she had been training extensively for months at that point. She’s able to winnow and get away from opponents, none of her fighting in that scene was one on one and she had many many resources available to her. Then Im sure someone will bring up the twins from Hybern and that fight.. yk the one where she was fighting side by side with Lucien and again had the ability to winnow and would’ve lost were it not for that ability, Lucien’s presence, and her quick thinking to burn one of them. All of those fights were pretty reasonable? She’d already been training for some time in acowar and acomaf, has always been canonically a quick thinker and someone who is very observant and in tune with her surroundings.

Meanwhile the blood rite erased already established canon in order to ensure they’d win. The monsters of the illyrian steppes that were said to attack anything they find suddenly having magic noses that exclusively detect illyrians? The illyrian males present simultaneously being willing to put aside anything in order to hunt those three down because they’re females and the illyrians are sexist while also being too distracted fighting each other because they actually don’t care that much about the females to bother hunting the valks down? Which is it? Are they evil monsters who will stop at nothing to hunt down women or are they stupid brutes who only care about fighting each other? Those same illyrian males who at this point in their training are meant to be some of the best sword wielders in Prythian actually can’t fight for shit and despite being brutally trained from a young age are blundering fools who actually can’t fight well and are sloppy and careless. Don’t even get me started on the friendship bracelets situation because that was just so stupid. At least when Lucien helped Feyre in acowar it’s because he was already there, not because his eye is actually magically connected to her bc of their beautiful friendship and bond and he can find her anywhere.

It’s totally ok to have enjoyed the blood rite in that book but admit you enjoyed it because it was entertaining, not because it made any sense. Don’t try to deflect the poor writing in that plot onto fight scenes that are nowhere near as nonsensical.

i feel like people don’t really get how much jokaste holds damen in such a high regard. the first time she talked to laurent she was full of praises for damen and yes although the majority of the reason was to taunt laurent, it was too heartfelt to be faked entirely. i find her a quite tragic character honestly. in another world she would be proud and happy to be to be damen’s queen 🙁 i wish more ppl cared about her OR stop portraying her as this cold unfeeling girlboss who was sooo sick of damen’s bs that she punished him by gleefully fucking kastor���.. i really really don’t think that’s who she is. she loved damen in her own way. she was also a sentimental woman. (her last letter to damen will never make me not emotional….)

OH DEAR… so one of the first times i actively participated in the fandom i made a post about how frustrating it was to see theomedes portrayed as an absent father despite the glaring lack of canon evidence while aleron got off the hook much easier despite laurent actually confirming he was an absentee and said i think it was about the way people perceive them (theomedes=brown and toxic, aleron=white and tastefully distant) anyways, some user whom i never talked to before (and they’re still blocked to this day despite the fact i pretty much never block anyone here) said i was “making it up” and right after i blocked them after they continued talking to me in a very rude manner some asks ✨mysteriously✨ appeared in my inbox and the person who sent them called me an “illiterature white bitch” who made up nonexistent drama…….. so yes i guess the colorism issue really ruffles some people’s feathers :) i wonder why :)

5. Kira’s frequent mistreatment makes me sad because he’s a very interesting and complex character with SO much to explore in regards to his upbringing and trauma and how that affects his character in the present and going forward, but a lot of people tend to portray him as a very one note crAaAaAzy villain and sexualize him to some of the worst degrees just because of his character design. It’s really unfortunate because there’s so much to love about him but it is a minefield trying to find anything for him

4. I’m not gonna blame people for misunderstanding and mistreating the garcias bc the show doesn’t even respect them but I’m still gonna be upset about it. I could go on and on about why the garcias were so poorly handled but like, when you think about their characters a little harder, you can really easily understand them from a more sympathetic view and how not only their environment but the way they were treated and used by the adults around them shaped how they behave throughout the series and like. Again, not blaming anyone for disliking them or seeing them solely as static villains bc they are not well written at all but I do wish people would give them a little more nuance, yk? I’ve taken the liberty of taking sole custody over them bc I could treat them so much better than the show, so I might be on of the only people who really sees this perspective just bc of how much I’ve diluted myself with my own noncanon analysis but yk.

I’m gonna go ahead and lump kyomado together because while I do think people don’t treat them with the nuance they deserve on their own, it is 10x worse when it comes to people shipping them specifically. And that makes me especially mad because kyomado was one of my first ships in any fandom and I still really like them together, but Jesus Christ people take them in the worst direction possible. It’s always so stereotypical with Kyoya being the cool hot closed off and aggressive one and Madoka being sweet and kind and submissive to him and it’s like. No!!! NO‼️‼️💥💥💥💥💥 They’re characters are so interesting together in my eyes because they’re relationship is built on mutual respect and ability to stand up to each other. Yes Madoka can be sweet and caring to him, but she is in no way submissive and is readily able to challenge him and call out his bullshit. Yes Kyoya can be cold and aggressive but he is not some abusive shitty YA male lead, he’s an angsty teen who genuinely recognizes Madoka’s abilities and respects her. I think you could make a similar argument for how people treat him with Hikaru as well but I personally find it far worse with Madoka, which makes me so sad bc I love this ship but hate a lot of the shippers and content for it :(

2. Gingka i dont think is as prevalent today, but I have seen the horrors and my god are they rough. The woobification of Gingka Hagane is an actual crime and should be treated as such. Im not even that big a Gingka stan or anything but I become fucking enraged whenever I see him portrayed as some soft and submissive uwu boy because there is so much more complexity and depth to his character and yaoifying him does that such a disservice. Idfk what show they were watching because in no universe is Gingka some sweet and innocent soft boy.

Sorry my response got long, your ask opened the floodgates of thoughts I've been having for weeks 😅 To preface this, this is not an Archeron versus Archeron post, I think we can have these discussions without making it black and white or trying to make excuses or accusations! I like all three sisters for different reasons and in different ways.

You're right, it's not misuse of the term if it's applied in the right situations, it's just that in this fandom (and in fandom spaces in general) people use the word "abusive" to justify not liking the thing they don't like. We have no problem saying that Tamlin is abusive, and I wonder if that's because we know that feylin is not endgame in canon. If they were still together, I'm willing to bet that people would have a much harder time calling his behavior abusive because then that would mean people would have icky feelings about shipping something that's abusive. (And he clearly had those tendencies in acotar, it didn't appear out of nowhere in acomaf. I tried to find my post where I discussed this but I can't.)

You're right about Feyre being targeted, too. Along with their father. Nesta never targeted Elain, and I have... thoughts about that that I think would be super unpopular if I explained them lol.

I really dislike any sort of sugar coating of what Nesta has done for a lot of reasons. I respect the need to stick to that more than I do the attempts to gloss over what actually happened. If you take away the way that Nesta was behaving, then you take away the core part of her conflict and journey. I know I had an anon a while back who made a similar statement regarding abuse specifically and I resisted it. But... idk, upon reread I understand that a bit better. (If you're reading this anon, whoever you are, I remember you!)

Since you mentioned it being consistent... I did a little bit of digging because this conversation does interest me in an academic sense. Nesta engaged in put-downs, bullying, and verbal abuse by these standards. I can see why people would argue that a one-off situation isn't abusive - we are all mean sometimes, we all have off days - but Nesta (and Eris, and Tamlin) engaged in these behaviors pretty consistently. And you'll notice that the description on that page is 100% about the way those behaviors impact people. Whether someone intends to be abusive or not is not only beside the point, it completely misses the point. So whether Nesta meant to act in a way that would be considered abusive or not, I can absolutely see why people would classify it that way, based on the impact she had on Feyre specifically.

I have siblings too, and while I never experienced any abuse or bullying from them, I totally respect how that experience would cause a lot of people to (intensely) dislike the way that Nesta treated Feyre. My romantic relationships and friendships are what have made me really dislike the way that Nesta behaves. It's just incredibly hard being on the receiving end of vitriol from someone you care about, when you're just trying to help them or make some sort of connection.

I wonder how much gender plays a role in this, too. I was thinking about nessian and how we might view their relationship if Nesta behaved the way that she did and she were the man in that hetero relationship. Would people be okay with a man acting that way towards a woman? It's not a 1-to-1 comparison because there are ways in which men have more power than women and so women acting one way isn't the same thing as a man acting that way. But it's just a thought I had.

Okay my final thought about this (for now, I'm sure I'll have more) is that saying Nesta is abusive (or Eris, or Tamlin, or Rhys, or whoever we want to say that about) doesn't mean we need to throw their character in the trash, nor does it say anything about the people who like those characters. That's the thing that pisses me off, personally. Someone liking Nesta isn't a bad person, nor is someone who like Rhys, or Feyre, or whoever. If other people want to take these statements and draw conclusions about real people from them, that's their business. I'm not doing that and I am in no way saying others should. In fact, please fucking don't.

alys rivers has never been a staple within the asoiaf community or a fan favourite - and that's absolutely fine & normal, as she is an episodic character in a background historical plot that's only tangentially relevant to the main series - it's more thematically-relevant, that is. sure, there were a few people who liked her after reading FB, but she only became A Thing and gained stans after the end of HOTD when fans of aemond went online and found out he has a canonical love interest.

so, because a lot of these people were mainly anti-helaemonds, they latched onto her for dear life as an instrument to bully and harass degenerate incest shippers or what-have-you. there are definitely shippers for whom alys could have had absolutely any personality and they still would have liked this pairing. if aemond had canonically become involved with any other girl from any other noble house or social class, they still would have acted in the same way.

because it's not the fictional character that needs defending from evil cheating enthusiasts. no one is making them be so nasty to other fans other than their own hang-ups and insecurities that they project in order to feel better about themselves

perhaps it's a combination of all those things, but then again aegond doesn't seem to garner the same caustic reaction. i don't know if it's because it's a smaller ship but i have seen people admit that a reason they don't like helaemond is because they're afraid it has a fair shot of becoming canon.

Criston/Alys could honestly go in many different ways. We know from Criston’s own mouth that he engaged in a fair share of dalliances before becoming a Kingsguard, so he would know how to charm the ladies. There’s also the implications of what being forcefully celibate for such a long time would do to you – forcefully in the sense that he is obliged to abide by it becaue he wanted to be a Kingsguard first and foremost for the prestige of the position, not in the sense that he willingly wanted to give up sex. It’s fair to say that he could have easily found himself a girlfriend if celibacy weren’t a requirement for his job. So, in that sense, there could be some tension going on there if Alys starts flirting with him, just like there was with Rhaenyra. As to whether or not he gives into it, well, the books tell us he does not, but that could very well just mean that no one found out if he did. He did break his vows before with Rhaenyra. Basically, I think you could make a compelling argument for both; the writers can go with either option here.

But I don’t think he’d be very happy if Aemond were to flaunt his relationship with Alys when it jeopardizes their political and military alliance with the Baratheons, so I expect there to be tension in that regard.

Next time they will complain about her characterization in the show being different because it will be different than the fanon one they've been creating (and sadly a lot of antis who are team green have been contributing to this misunderstandings thanks to the ship wars they've been engaging in, pretending Alys is this or that when there's no confirmation in the text just to make their ship look better).

It's true that most late 30s – mid 40s actresses tend to look better than the average woman of the same age anyway because of beauty treatments and the like, but they face ageism in the film industry even so. Which is why casting an older actress still translates into a 45+ woman getting airtime in one of the most viewed shows, getting exposure in front of the general public, where previously maybe she found it challenging to get jobs. Especially as a romantic interest.

Now I know the public and TV executives are allergic to seeing older women in that kind of storyline, so the chances of that happening were slim, but, at the same time, I would like to point out the existence and popularity of ROMANGERRI on the same network, on air in the same year and on a well-to-do, expensive, critically acclaimed show, no less (J. Smith-Cameron is 65, btw). So it IS possible. Sometimes you have to educate your own public, not just give into demands all the time.

Anyway, I want to touch on an additional point, because I remember people in my inbox trying to convince me that Gayle looks older than her years anyway so it’s fitting she was cast (she doesn’t look old at all, she looks absolutely normal). I don’t know, either these commentators are very young and, thus, kind of divorced from what a 30-year-old looks like or people have lost touch with how regular people look like and they expect everyone to be airbrushed or something.

In the Deadline article, she is only designated as a "healer" so far (while all her magical abilities seem to have been only rumored) I'm wondering what powers they will give her, will there be the ability to see visions? Will she also speak in riddles like Helaena or will the predictions be more clear? Will they believe her, unlike Helaena? Because I keep thinking about that moment where Alys saw WHERE Daemon but she didn't see Aemond's death and it's quite intriguing because she really didn't see EVERYTHING or there was some intent... So many questions, so few answers. All in all, I'm looking forward to how they'll tackle the subject of prophecy in 2s.

Not much to add here, it’ll be interesting to see the type of magic they decide to use with Alys. It has to be a balance between real ability but not something that makes her overpowered, otherwise they’ll only end up creating plot holes if they turn her into Dr. Manhattan. The decision to also give Helaena prophetic visions when there already was a character that could have fulfilled that niche is not something that we know how to explain with certainty before the show ends. We don’t know what their plans were or still are with Helaena and how her powers are going to interact with the plot – whether she’s just meant to be a tragic Cassandra figure or more.

The thing to keep in mind is that she is not portrayed as a prophet in the books. Nor does anyone suggest that she was via hearsay or rumours mentioned by the maesters. That was a clear addition from the writers’ side. Whether it’s clumsy or well-executed – we have to wait and see because we just don’t have enough information yet. It has to be done in some way that doesn’t modify the plot too much because a lot of things are set in stone – so to complain that she is an ineffectual prophet or that she’s useless because she doesn’t /save/ anyone… she literally CAN’T save them because the authors won’t allow it. Now I have to ask: why are people directing their ire at a fictional female character though, instead of criticising the quality of the writing? If someone doesn’t believe this is a productive writing choice or a believable adaptation change, then say so, instead of wording this complaint in a misogynistic way and using it as a vehicle to irritate her fans.

Of course, Helaena is not a real person, so her feelings will not be hurt by people excoriating her, but it’s telling how some fans are incapable of mounting a meta-textual critique, and so easily confuse the Doylist and Watsonian perspectives of analysis: Helaena doesn’t save Aemond or her children even though she has prophetic visions => she must be a bad, unfeeling, selfish person, those are her character traits (Watsonian) vs Helaena can’t save anyone because the plot points and endings are set in stone (Doylist). I’m highlighting this point because there are fans like this who will literally go to war and fight in the trenches, making fandom spaces inhospitable, because they are 100% convinced they are the depositaries of the one true text interpretation, when their own critical thinking skills are fundamentally lacking.

Idk, I just don't buy this explanation that Alys was his replacement for Alicent and a source of an unconditional love and acceptance he never received from his family members. Also, after the scene with the brothel madam I'm not really looking forward to this relationship because of all the implications. If there is something that could at least partially explain the nature of Alysmond (and even then a lot of it remains mysterious) it should be that scene from episode 9, and not the lack of love from his mother, sister or even brother(s). I only hope we will get to see more scenes between Alicent and her children in the next season, especially before Aemond leaves KL. I'm really interested in his interactions with Alicent and Aegon after the Storm's End incident and his relationship with Helaena in general, romantic (I'm actually starting to root for Helaemond after witnessing shipper wars on SM lol) or not. Now, what you’re describing in the first part is definitely alimond (aemond/alicent), which can appeal to you (or not) depending on how freudian you like your ships. Alys and Alicent are basically the same name (it’s the same root), both are brunettes (though Alicent is more of a red-head in HOTD), both MILFs. There’s material to work with. One can make it happen if one is dedicated enough of a writer. I don’t think Gayle looks like Olivia either – I think they picked her because she seems to be a versatile actress, not because of physical similarity.

That being said, I never bought the Aemond-is-not-loved interpretation. I think there was something wacky going on backstage that got translated via a pervasive lack of communication. I’ve said it before but not allowing or discouraging the child actors / young adults to keep from exchanging notes on their character with the adult actors is not good showrunning or directing. Sorry to Miguel Sapochnik, but I’m just built different. And I think that’s kind of what happened with Leo and Ewan – something just got lost in the handover. Little!Aemond is bullied by Aegon but seems very close to his mother – he confesses to her his reason for being upset and accepts being comforted by her. Alicent spends the rest of the episode trying to fix his bullying issue: she is unsuccessful with Viserys, mildly successful with Aegon (who is a scatterbrain, but seems to at least stop for a moment and consider what she has to say) and very successful with Criston, who takes it upon himself to indirectly reveal Jace and Luke’s bastardy in a public setting and to break up Aegon’s alliance with the Strong boys by siccing him on them. Not to mention the lengths Alicent goes to in Driftmark to get justice for her son – these are not the actions of a mother who couldn’t care less. So, you know. I think Ewan is a talented actor but this unconditional love line must be because the showrunners were inconsistent in the briefs they gave to the actors. Like, you would not be hearing incongruent, looney-tunes-type shit like this in Succession, where characters change their life story and personality from week to week.

As someone who has been in the fandom since debut, I think the focus on her wealth is because for a long time she was a joke - she was a teenager so not taken seriously, she wasn’t ‘country’ enough, then it was the joke of her being a man eater… she was mocked but so were her fans in a way that was reserved for boy band obsessions of ‘oh those silly little girls’ BUT the numbers never lied. She outsold all her fellow nominees in CDs and tickets and radio play. She was winning BMI awards for songwriting and being praised by big artists and now icons (all the lists of ‘what famous people said about Taylor’ - it used to be her contemporaries or just the generation above her, but if Ari said she loved Taylor it would be meaningless because Stevie nicks and sir Paul have praised her extensively yk, so her fellow current highly successful pop star who debuted as a recording artist after Taylor just doesn’t count anymore?

Anyway, Taylor’s success is a validation of her fans who were bullied for being a fan of her at school and by the media. So it’s vindicating for people who still hold those wounds… and if we go deeper, which I feel like you will get at least what I’m going to try to articulate - taylor is a symbol for a lot of people, so she was the coping mechanism through their parents divorce and when people mock Taylor, they feel like it’s their parents divorce that is being mocked. Or if one of the 50 things they were picked on for was liking Taylor, it’s easier to focus on Taylor when she’s still in their lives compared to thinking about when they had no one to sit with at lunch and they were teased for their nose/ eyes/ eyebrows/ clothes/ hair/ whatever cause people are mean.

I’m not trying to add to the pile on that is lobbed at the fandom, but there is a sense of arrested development on some big blogs/ stan accounts.
