Saw this lovely description of Jon on the tag, of course by a rabid Dany stan who claims that Dany should rule instead of Jon:
an arrogant bastard who got betrayed and killed by his own men while running a penal colony
So, that’s one view. But how does GRRM think of Jon?
If I could magically clap my hands and become a different person, it would be cool to play Jon Snow who's much more of the classic hero. Everybody wants to be the classic hero.
———
Theon [Greyjoy] is the one I’d fear becoming. Theon wants to be Jon Snow, but he can’t do it. He keeps making the wrong decisions. He keeps giving into to his own selfish, worst impulses. In some senses, Theon is struggling all the way through to be a hero. They both come out of the same situation: they’re both raised in Winterfell by Eddard Stark, but they’re not part of the real, core family. Theon is a ward, and Jon Snow is a bastard son. So they’re both a little outside, but Jon handles this successfully, and Theon fails to handle this. He is poisoned by his own envy and his sense of not belonging.
———
[Asked about Jon’s “mistakes.”] Were they mistakes? I guess they were mistakes in some ways since they led to him losing control of part of his group. But it might have been wise and necessary decisions in terms of protecting the realm and dealing with the threat of the White Walkers. I’m a huge student of history, and all through history there’s always this question of what’s the right decision. You look back with benefit of hindsight at a battle that was lost and say, ‘The losing general was such an idiot.’ Was Napoleon a genius for all the battles he won? Or an idiot for losing at Waterloo? Partly I’m reacting to a lot of the fantasy that has come before this. Ruling is difficult whether you’re a Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch or the King of England. These are hard decisions and each have consequences. We’re looking at Jon trying to take control of Night’s Watch and deal with The Wildlings and the threat beyond The Wall, and we’re looking at Cersei and Dany in their kingdoms and their choices.
———
One thing that sometimes vexes me as someone who reads a lot of history is, I see people who also read history . . . and they look back in the past, and they have the benefit of hindsight. So they know what was the right thing to do and what was the wrong thing to do. And the people who do the wrong thing from the benefit of our time are mocked as idiots or losers or evil or something. But in many cases, that's not right. I mean, you have to really go back and put yourself in the head of the people making that decision . . . they did not have the benefit of hindsight.

Sakura stans still message Swagkage their hate when he made the video "Why People Hate Sakura so much" that has millions of views even though this video was uploaded in 2017. They talked about how he was so biased and didn't understood her character. Guy gets harassed because they can't understand how awful Sakura's character is.
Sakura is a character they like so not surprised it made them mad. It would be nice if they didn't harass people but it's not gonna change, they harass even the anime staff.
What is funny about Swagkage's video about Sakura is that it's not even biased. He's way nicer to her than most other people who make videos on her. He did not even meant to make a video dunking on her, because he prefers to make videos about fights but since he made a video "top 5 naruto characters I like the least" a lot of people were protesting why he didn't include Sakura. It seems to be because he doesn't care about her much, but due to those comments he made a video explaining WHY people hate Sakura. And the reasons are valid. I would add to the list but it was still good.
He did not use any misogynist insults, he didn't comment on her looks, he didn't complain that she's not into Naruto romantically. He simply pointed out how useless and underwhelming she is when it comes to battles and how it makes her look pathetic, how she is a bad friend, how her obsession on Sasuke is unreasonable and annoying.
youtube
I can't find the original video (did he hide it due to hate or what?) but there are many reactions to the video that show the video on full in case anyone wants to see what we are talking about.
In some of his other videos he says things like he was rooting for Sakura during her fight with Ino (something I disagree with) and I never see him "bash" her so there is not much bias in my opinion.
One part of the video I'll copy here that people who compare Sakura to side characters that barely get any screentime fail to understand
"on top of that Sakura is placed in many important situations where she practically does nothing to contribute"
^^This here is something really important. Yes Rock Lee, Kiba, Shino or Tenten do not get to do much but would they have failed as massively or make as stupid decisions as Sakura has done if they were placed on the same situations? No, because the side characters use those smaller moments they get rather well, and do not do stupid things. If you look at Temari, I can't think of any stupid moment from her. Same with Shikamaru (I'm talking battle wise, you can argue about his personality all you want).
"additionally, the scope of some of the stuff she attempts to do, just to prove she is indeed useful, which serves no purpose other than to satisfy her own ego is far too massive for somebody with her capabilities. She always aims too high and still expects the best outcome"
^^Also an extremely good point.
I remember last time I saw Swagkage's Sakura video, it had 146,000 likes. That is way more than the tweets defending here on twitter get.

https://www.tumblr.com/shitswiftiessay/749223380728889344/taylor-sees-her-prot%C3%A9g%C3%A9-out-charting-her-for-the
saw this in the anti tag and i have so many things to say (it's gonna be a bit long):
one: those tweets prove further that the reason taylor keeps coming on billboard hot 100 lists is because swifties are chart obsessed and have no problem streaming her songs all day if it means it'll appear on charts. they've got nothing else going for them except 'she keeps topping the charts' because there is zero songwriting, melody, performing or visual talent in any of her songs or tours.
two: taylor distanced herself from/turned on olivia (i still don't know the details of the deja vu suing case so i won't make assumptions as to what exactly happened between them) as soon as olivia started threatening her fame. in my biased opinion, i would also say that olivia is a better songwriter and overall artist than taylor (i love her guts album), and taylor didn't like seeing that a young artist could potentially outshine her. so they're not friends anymore. taylor then latched on to sabrina because she wasn't as threatening to her career as olivia was, but now that espresso has the potential to top taylor's song on the charts, swifties are turning on her too. and if this continues, i have no doubt that so will taylor. (side note: espresso is such a fun summer bop!)
it's extremely pathetic that taylor feels so threatened and insecure because of up-and-coming 20-something year old artists despite being arguably one of the biggest pop artists in the world right now.
i also feel bad for both sabrina and olivia. imagine just starting out in the music industry, and your childhood idol seeming so eager and genuine in being your best friend, but completely flips around when you show any potential of being successful. taylor is a vile person.
also! you are my fav anti ts blog! i love your takes on all this stuff. keep doing what you're doing queen
“you are my fav anti ts blog!” omg stop 😳 i’m blushingggggggg
sorry this took me so long to respond to. personal life events are occurring and i also have the attention span of a goldfish now for some reason. im going to answer in order of your points:
one: swifties are the streaming farms they keep accusing sabrina of using. also taylor swift herself has probably bought and used streaming farms more than any other person on the spotify top 10 list. its this and taylor is sinister enough to drop new releases to block artists from getting #1’s (she did this recently with billie right?). also swiftie chart obsession just shows how insecure they are??? toxic by britney spears never went #1 and its her most popular song. i’ve never seen a fanbase as insecure as swifties because the way they lash out over even the perception of a threat towards taylor is just…so inappropriate? its such a disproportionate reaction to whatever the “threat” is (in this case, charting). like the fact swifties keep coming into the anti tag just demonstrate how intensely insecure they are. no other fanbase is so fragile they go out of their way to go and bully people for not liking their fave. like its usually the other way around, antis harassing stans. but you have swifties coming into the anti tag (where we appropriately tag and do not engage with swifties) and harassing us? for not liking her? in the anti tag? its really a testament to their insecurity that they must bulldoze anything that threatens them and their fave. which ties into the second point-
two: wasn’t sabrina like olivia’s opp because olivia’s ex cheated on her with sabrina? is that correct? that’s makes it so nasty that taylor went out of her way to purposely befriend sabrina after cutting ties with olivia. and immature! and petty! and just reflective of how low taylor stoops to make people feel like shit! not only that, but someone who is almost half her age! how awful do you have to be to do that? olivia is more talented than taylor and poses a massive threat to taylor because the music they both make appeals to the same demographic of people. the problem is olivia is actually a part of that demographic, which threatens the fuck out of taylor. how lame do you have to be to feel threatened by other female artist success all the time? and not only that, but the same people you know who adore you (and therefore easier to manipulate because you know they will trust every word out of your mouth) because you’re their childhood idol? what a horrible person.
and espresso is a reallyyyyyyy good pop song!!!

Stefan stans demonize Damon for touching Vicki's hair while talking to her in 1x2 as if Stefan never did anything like that. Speaking of, how was Damon able to compel Vicki about Stefan when he didn't look in her eyes to do so? I'm assuming he got inside her mind to put that thought into her head. Stefan was unnecessarily touching Amber's hair while talking to her in 1x19 and at some point his face got close to hers while talking but I never see people criticize him for that. They romanticize it as Stefan having a thing for blondes. In 3x8 he says he wants to drink something was warmer and blonder while checking out and smirking at the waitress doing her job in a place where there's multiple types of people. People romanticize him objectfying his victims in that way cause Stefussy but I've seen gifsets of people demonizing Damon teaching Elena how to pick people to feed on in 4x4 because he described one of them as blonde and self aborbed, adding gifs of him and Caroline in 1x1 on the side. That girl in 4x4 did match being self aborbed since she wasn't paying attention in class and he showed her multiple other people in class including guys so I don't get the selective outrage.
I don't know how fans can demonize Damon for touching Vicki's hair. I would term it "1864" because that's the kind of man Damon was as a human. You see him do the same with Elena even before he falls in love with her. It's a comfort thing with Vicki in 1x2 just as it is in 1x6. Fans have to stop perverting every single touch, but that's what bias does... It misinterprets. That's why I refuse to ship so badly that I lie about what I see. In the scene you're speaking of... it makes absolute sense for Damon to stroke Vicki's hair while he compels her, and do it for the sake of comforting her. As I made mention in my previous ask, that scene shows both sides of Damon... the lion and the lamb. He does the same in 1x6, which only supports my feelings about why he turned her. Vicki is straight-up crying in his arms and he's comforting her because he cares.
Compulsions reach the subconscious. It's not just the eyes, it's the mouth. They only require the eyes at first to reach the subconscious. That's why you'll notice some compulsions focus on the mouth, and vampires don't have to look in their eyes to compel them. Watch how the camera pans on his mouth...
Tumblr media
Without the eyes, they still have the mouth.
imo, there's nothing more beautiful than a vampire comforting a woman that he sunk his teeth into... comforting a woman that he knows he hurt. It's not necessarily romantic because not all touch is. If it were, Stefan would be slammed for every woman he comforts. Both brothers tend to comment their preferences. Damon's teaching in 4x4 had nothing to do with his feelings about blondes, but about his character being extremely intuitive. He reads people, period. It's not because she's blonde, it's because she's self-absorbed and he knows it. But like I said, the biased misinterpret.

Hi!:) i just wanted to say that indeed Ayato has been the most popular Diaboy, i believe most of that comes from the anime show, it really boosted the games popularity . If we talk about anime i believe Ayato and Laito have the most stans, followed by Subaru.
If we talk about the otome games, a lot of people seem to prefer Shuu, even though i find his routes to be a bit boring compared to the triplets.
If we talk about the looks, again Ayato and Laito are the most attractive. Personally i find Laito to be extremely attractive especially when he takes his hat off, he really looks like a prince sometimes , and his emerald eyes really add to it. I cant get over how beautiful he looked in that scene where he was about to kill Cordelia (in the anime show)
Ayato has the most beautiful eye shape, the dude has longer lashes than me , tf not fair. And they really gave him a unique hair colour. And i do agree he looks very youthful, maybe less than kanato. But if you compare the triplets laito looks like the oldest one. But anyways, the games did an incredible job with his looks, i like him in otome games way more than in the show, they really put their soul into his design😅
// Ah yes, well many DL fans come from the anime and Ayato has the most screen time and bigger role than the others there, so I can see why he got popular. I suppose it’s also because of Yahiro’s artstyle, which made all characters look very beautiful.
In terms of game, from what I've seen in the otoge fandom, people like Shu the most because most of them only played HDB and MB, where he's a "safe" route compared to the other ones. Because the PS Vita is a dead console, I believe many of them are only interested in the two games, as they are the only main ones transported on Switch. On top of that, many people refuse to read routes of characters they didn’t like in the previous game, which is understandable but it’s worth giving a shot though.
Most people I know who have played/read all routes have Ayato, Laito, Ruki, Reiji or Carla as their favorite character, but Shu or other Diaboys stans exist too, of course. I believe this occurs because, once all characters begin to be nice and romantic to Yui/MC, people will want more from their routes than something tame, and they will prioritize development. A character who goes from messed up/bad to good has a much greater impact than someone who goes from neutral to good, and I believe this is why Kou and Ayato became more biased in Japan than Shu.
However, I must confess that I can't stand how this fandom always portrays some characters as they were in their debut game, and I'm specifically referring to Ayato and Laito because their development should not be overlooked, and yet people still think of them as "selfish jerk" and "pervert."
Now that we're talking about these boys, I completely agree with you! Laito's design has always reminded me of Renaissance paintings; it's simply stunning and exudes elegance! I agree that he looks very princely without his hat; I'm not a fan of his Fedora, but I feel like he's the only one who can look good in one, haha. His emerald green eyes are truly captivating, and I adore his shape, which makes him appear sly yet sophisticated.
Overall, I think Ayato has the most beautiful eyes. Satoi even remarked on how large they are, which is true since he’s not even a shota love interest. He also has such thick lashes, which, according to Yui, are much longer than hers, lol. If you pay close attention, Ayato has a very feminine face, as you can see in this post, but he’s also a very masculine boy, despite looking youthful.
In conclusion, I hope Rejet paid Satoi and the artist well for making these boys so good-looking!🫶🏻

My personal AK!Riddler headcannons. Some of these play into my story so theyre biased, but I tried to keep those aspects out as much as I could.
Riddler has never had a seasoned/fully cooked meal. He mentions in the game he makes himself healthy meals, but the VA mentioned he probably doesnt eat much. The reason I think he doesnt properly cook his meals or seasons them is because hes so infacuated on Batman, he doesnt have time to be patient. He either completely undercooks his food, or overcooks it. On the rare occassion he cooks it correctly, its bland and tastes like nothing.
Firm believer hes petty and has thrown tantrums at the other Rogues. Hes extremely petty, so people dont mess with him much, but, when he throws tantrums he physically has to stop himself from looking like a fool. He only does it in front of Batman, but because hes projecting his fatherly issues on to him.
Riddler only lets people hes REALLY close to call him Eddie. He doesnt have friends but has goons?? So the closest to friendship would be Catwoman. He doesnt get upset when she calls him Eddie, which is his real name. Batman has to call him Nygma, Sir, Mr. Nygma. Could be because of his hinted relationship with her, who knows.
I believe that when Catwoman showed interest in Batman, Riddler did get really jealous. Its one thing to try to move on with another rogue, and another to date your arch nemesis. It was really a punch to his ego when he was pretty much replaced by Batman. The whole trial is about proving to Catwoman that Batman won't be there for her, so 👀👀. I don't really ship them, but its obvious theres something else going on between them.
Riddler definitely has Twitter, Instagram, or some other variation of that. Ever since his #CancelBatman thing, hes had to use bots to drown out the hate. Does he delete the website? Absolutely not. He needs to prove it doesn't get under his skin!
Due to Riddlers projections, I think riddler just wants his fake parental figure to play with him. Explain how a damn race car track is a riddle. Hes playing cars with his dad. Not that im infintizing him in any way- but- what other explanation is there for him to make a giant sewage racecar track without a riddle attached to it. Yes catwomans life is on the line, and theres other actual puzzles, so what the hell is this about?
I like to think that Riddler does have some admiration for the batman. He mentions to Batman that he should take care of his car more, so to some degree he admires the his tech.
Harley Quinn is the only one thats been able to beat Riddler at chess. No one else played with him, but after that he stopped wanting to prove his intellectual superiority among the Rogues. No one really cares about that except him and it keeps him up at night.
Scarecrow has a soft spot for him. Yes he still treats him like he would everyone else, but he just treats him slightly better than everyone else.
Riddler probably has a childhood hamster that died in a horrific way. He loves how hamsters look but hates the idea of owning one from how traumatizing it was. Not that he abused his hamster or anything, from what I've read they tend to die horrible ways for no reason.
I think he loves the little group of people that stan him, but finds them extreamely annoying. Yes, he enjoys the love and attention, but when fangirls 16 year olds claim to be his girlfriend, or grown women claim to be his wife? Not so much. He also doesnt like when his fans plan an attack and try to give Riddler credit for some minor idiotic plan. It hurts his reputation.
He hates being around large crowds of people. He hates being around stupid people, unless the attention is for him then he doesn't mind.
Probably knows the court of owls exists, but thinks theyre full of bologney.
Enjoys hot chocolate more than coffee, but this one was obvious.
He probably tried making a robot family at some point, with a mom robot, dad robot, and brother robot. It didnt work out
Workplace is a mess, but its his mess. He knows where everything is.
He hates the idea of being alone, but does nothing about it. He probably has cried himself to sleep, not only from Batmans trauma, but also his issues that he can't fix.
Lgbt supporter. Batman villains are queer coded, and has shown he has two lesbian henchmen, so I don't think he'd have a reason to be homophobic.
Disliked Joker the most out of the Rogues. Not only because of the spotlight hed get, but because he was rude to him a few times.
Asexual. Never been interested in sex, never will be, unless its for reproduction purposes, but even then he wont get into bed with anyone. He wants his genes to be passed down, but it would be with someone equally smart that fits his description of a perfect woman, but no icky stuff. He'll be a sperm donor but thats as far as it will get.
Not used to being physical. Hates being hugged, touched, or slightly bumped into. He doesnt seem to get much physical contact with anyone aside from metal and some occasional firm handshakes.
to add to that, his fight or flight mode activated once when Harley jumped on his back trying to surprise him. He gave her a black eye and immidiately appologized. joker was still alive.
has had girlfriends before, never liked any of them.
Riddler secretly calls Scarecrow his work best friend.
Doesn't do riddles during Rogues meetings because no one answers him.

Okay so someone was bringing this up before about Wendy rarely having meta done of her, which tbh idk if is really true. But I’ve decided in my sicken state to just make a short piece about her before I attempt to be creatively productive in spite of my hunger that fears the expelling of everything previously eaten. Anyways, lets start this off by saying that my biases with Wendy are objectively that shes a good gal. In all honesty I do compare her to Kyle a lot due to shared over generalized similar feeling I have towards them… but in truth there very different people, and not in the sense of one greater than the other. Though it may be extremely personalized, but she feels so embodying of the role of “playing your part” In some ways, Kyle is like this too, but in the more simplistic ways where he feels like his role is of the moral high ground and martyr— not a healthy concept but don’t worry about it right now. For Wendy a lot of it is actively having to sacrifice things in order to remain wanted within a community. She has to adjust her behaviour in order to be accepted most times by those around her. She is constantly influenced by means of pressure— which is interesting given how outspoken, strong, and determined Wendy is. But often she fall victim towards authority figures and her peers (mostly the girls) in a way that isn’t as important to kyle?
Like Kyle will actively call some random adult to their face stupid without any fucking worry for the most part, even in his efforts to be more compassionate (which are genuine). He doesn’t have the same need of filtering or censorship I feel like Wendy constantly goes through. Which is crazy to me in a way because canonically Wendy has way more in overranking Cartman. Almost every Wendy vs Cartman Episode has her winning. It shows that she does have genuine strength and competitiveness, that isn’t just her being easily squashed unlike Kyle. Its a show of her care more for the general— and very infrequently can she push against everyone (mainly the girls) in her right to stand alone. The most I can think of is the list, which was a conspiracy that had a lot on the line— and not every girl was involved within the conspiracy… and I believe partly it was because it devalued girls as whole and affected Stan and Kyle, and not so much of her reputation with the girls. She would’ve still been welcomed either way? Even if she did unveil all of this shit. Bebe was till her friend even as they were fighting. The risk was different. However, when Wendy is face on being evicted. Things are different. To be iced out into the corner alone always seems to get to her. She has a repeated avoidance of it (not that people like to be isolated or abandoned), but honestly? Its almost in a way that mirrors Stan’s intensities over abandonment— though they don't create as loud of a noise. She will go back on her morals, to not be outcasted… And to me, that alone says so much about Wendy’s character, especially her dynamics role. Despite repeatedly being considered the smartest, notably attractive (literally so many of the boys have expressed a desire to date her. Which idk if its just Matt and Trey wanting a recognizable female? But shawty thats weird as fuck if thats the reason? Like these bitches really out here fantasying about kissing Wendy despite Stan? Lol), and physically quiet strong… shes always the one that is stunned to the side. She doesn’t do a lot of things wrong (more Morden Wendy obviously), but the girls are so quick to turn on her or leave her out of things that… yes could be the underdevelopment of the other girls… but a large part of me doesn’t think its just that. It feels like Wendy constantly actively has to make the choice to behave in a way the boy’s don’t mirror. Like with Heidi 2.0 she actively was like “Just don’t even respond to her. Just ignore her.” Which is honestly really curious to me in the sense of mimicking the boys, Wendy— despite very easily being compared to Kyle— had way more of a Stan role in the femme dynamic. It makes her feel very composed and just trying, like Stan, to follow flow and not get dropped. Both her and Stan both have the same problem of needing to feel aligned with people— even if Stan’s depression within the covid episodes let Stan lose the desire and become avoidant.
They both have such an effort in their display. And both their displays have a gendered undertone to them, at least for me. Stan’s is a little less so, as its more him being toxically masculine and repressing certain traits and pushing other ones. Especially considering how genuinely sensitive, empathetic, and thoughtful he is— originally being written off for these things by being called a hippy. With him avoiding things or upscaling stereotypical ideas of masculinity (though a lot of these examples are by mean of pretend) he doesnt like breaking models in terms of gender, which also hits extra hard, interestingly so, when Stan actively has a gender confusion moment in Cissy. But thats a topic for a different day.
Wendy on the other hand, has this baseline of gender. But it doesn’t feel as focused as Stan where its just the means of conforming to ones gender. It’s why she so easily to relate to for me, where as Kyle simply isn’t. Because Wendy is in constant performance to uphold her place, having to deal with boys saying awful shit to her simply because shes a girl, having to constantly fight ideas of sexism to not be perceived as compliant, but also not pushing too far past it to be seen as over reactive and man-hating, having things that have nothing to do with gender come back to hers, having to defend her demographic as a community, and often fearing her own community rejecting you despite the thought of them being on your side, and the expectation to accept it. She is often times silenced, not allowed to fully express her opinions or thought unless she fights tooth and nail to be heard— even than. She has to be twice the person another is often times to get anywhere… and idk, maybe its my doomer mindset I can occasionally get… but that rings so hurtful and true in even just my existence alone of being afab, much less just in general natural of advantage taking when being kind to someone. it just strikes me a lot, and I would honestly love to hear people talk about this more? I’m sorry if this was everywhere? I wasn’t feeling good but the though of Wendy has been itching my head today, so i thought I would write about here. Thank you kindly.

You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but how would you prefer Luz's and Amity's relationship to be handled in canon?
preface just so i don't get sui-baited: i am a lesbian who loves femslash and my gripes with lumity boil down to it feeling like poor representation.
okay so i have two major gripes with lumity:
amity's "redemption" and how it rings less as her learning and more as her white girl tears absolving her of having done any harm
luz' total lack of agency or emotion towards amity until they get together
1) amity was a bully. this was not just because of her parents. if it was just about looking a certain way or convincing people she was a Strong, Capable Blight Witch, she wouldn't have cornered willow while willow was alone in their first introduction. you can't say "mommy made her do it" and then suddenly make her nice. keep her mean, make it a struggle for her. show us the hard, ugly parts about trying to become a better person. and by god, have luz hold her accountable.
on that note, 2) have luz hold her accountable!!!!! luz never seems to feel much of anything when it comes to amity beyond wanting to be her friend Like In The Books (which, what? she calls your new friend wizard slurs, girlfriend, wtf?) until VERY SUDDENLY having extreme feelings for amity that we never learn the reasoning behind. she doesn't seem upset that amity bullies willow except in her first appearance. she's barely upset when amity bullies king right in front of her. and afterwards, when they're suddenly friends, there's no indication of what makes luz want something more romantic from her.
so, to fix it: have luz say or show what is it about amity that makes her into her. because, with the way the show is written now, it seems like luz was never into her before, right down to it being a huge joke during the grom era of the show that luz was oblivious and stupid but i wont get into the Latine Character Is Stupid Hehe So Funny! trope that makes me want to destroy fandom rn
anyways, those are the big gripes i have: amity's nothing character and luz' nothing feelings for her.
a few ways i think you could fix lumity as a ship without larger rewrites like my above gripes would require is... have them compliment each other more? luz calls amity pretty a few times, implying she finds amity physically attractive at the very least, but amity doesn't compliment luz. she never calls luz pretty or handsome or anything. luz calls her a freaking goddess but the only time amity compliments luz is before the really ugly kiss in king's tide and even that mostly boils down to "haha she so stupid ♡ but whatever i guess it's fine ♡" (which.... fuck you fr. if you're going to keep amity mean only in certain moments, don't have it be about her fucking girlfriend!!!!!!)
idk this is all personal opinion ofc and i'm definitely biased against lumity itself due to cruel shippers but. having the only lesbian rep in the show be a mean white girl who suddenly has all her personality rubbed away because I Like Girls and My Mommy Is Mean was. frustrating. not to mention the fact that she literally tries to kill someone to keep her "gold star" in her first appearance, but i'll pretend that wasn't lesbophobic for a moment.
i used to really like amity and i was excited to have a textually lesbian character in a sapphic relationship in a cartoon but. it just feels so empty. and it makes it a huge disappointment fot me.
anyways ajdmsjdkd thanks for the ask! i've debating writing lumity myself because i do think it had a lot of potential to be a good ship, but lumity stans are some of the worst people on the planet, so i haven't bothered heh... so talking it out was a bit cathartic! :3 thanks again

Get To Know Me
While you guys can still fill this out:
Get To Know You
I thought, in the meantime, I’d answer the questions you have left me so far, so you can get to know me a little bit better too!🤗 I’m not going to publish the questions directly but I’m just going to introduce myself by answering them in a text, I hope that’s okay!♥️
I’m Maddie, I’m 20 and live in Austria :) I’m currently studying English and Literature at university because I absolutely love the English language and I read A LOT😅 it’s not my dream course but it will do for now. I’m going to apply for a film university in January/February to study either Screenwriting or Production (depending on which one I get into) because it has always been a dream of mine to write my own film or tv show one day… big dream, I know… we’ll see where that goes
I got into Kpop through a friend who showed me an NCT and GOT7 music video (NCT’s Make A Wish, literally the day it came out, and GOT7 Not By The Moon, I think it was). I immediately fell in love with the visual of the music video itself and the flow of the music. Obviously I found the guys extremely attractive too😅 and I fell in love with Jaebeom’s voice right away🥰. So yeah, I haven’t been a Kpop stan for too long but I’m very passionate about it.
Fun Fact: when I found Exo and iKon, I realised that I had been listening to their songs without realising it was Kpop, haha. I used to listen to iKon kinda a lot I guess because I already knew most of their songs without knowing about them.
The first group that I really really got into was GOT7. I still think they are one of the funniest groups that has ever existed and it’s the saddest thing ever that they could have become so much bigger if it weren’t for jay why pee. I also got into EXO pretty quickly and I still really like them but with there not being much content, it’s hard to keep with them regularly, but I listen to their music all the time and at least three songs are always in my monthly playlists. After GOT7 got free in January, I’ve started focusing more on their solo stuff (ESPECIALLY JAYB AND YUGYEOM BC I LOVE THE KRNB AND KHH SCENE) and I love it!!! I found Seventeen very quickly after getting into Kpop, thanks to the Tag episode and Minghao😂 Again: once I heard some of their songs, I really felt like I’ve heard them before, especially Left & Right and Home… maybe I have, maybe it’s just my brain playing tricks on me, but the seemed so familiar and that’s actually also what drew me so much into them. The feeling of familiarity and comfort these 13 men radiate is like nothing I’ve ever seen or experienced. I went through a very tough time throughout my teenage life and honestly, I’m not sure where I would be now if it wasn’t for these guys (as well as Exo, GOT7, iKon, and many more!) being able to distract me and make me laugh and be happy… sounds cliché but it’s crazy how much music can effect and help people!
Biases? Oh god… I know I asked you to tell me about yours but choosing my own is SO HARD😅 so, first of all: definitely Wonwoo. I admired him from the start because I relate to him in a lot of ways. Minghao is definitely also one of them, as well as Jeonghan and Hoshi has been testing me a lot in the past few weeks… Mingyu too… that’s the life of a Carat I guess :) from other groups: Chanyeol, Hanbin, Bobby, Jaebeom, Yeji, Jennie, Rosé, Jin (only based on Run BTS), Soobin, Yeonjun, Sunwoo, Sangyeon, Chanhee, Sejun
There’s so many more probably😂
Talking about biases, talking about Hanbin: Minnie and the (ex) love of her life… well, unless you’re following the Alternative Ending, then it is the love of her life🤗 I based Minnie kinda off of me in some aspects because I knew that if I do that, I’ll be able to write her the best way I can because I’m just writing about what I’d do and think and stuff :) now why B.I? For one: he deserves the world and if I can give him happiness in the story, then I will. Also, Jennie and Hanbin got shipped kinda a lot I guess, so there are a lot of pictures I was and will be able to use. And yes, I’m an iKonic too! :)
About updating: I really don’t have a routine, although I wished that I’d do. I update whenever I feel like it but since I love writing a lot, I tend to get inspiration very quickly and just like to upload stuff, whether that’s Minnie chapters, Jealousy Looks Good On You, or something from my inbox 🤗 I hope that once I’ve caught up with uni stuff, I get into a routine that I can let you know about!
And lastly, my favourite songs at the moment:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot again… I know😅 I just screenshoted the ones that I tend to listen to non-stop at the moment, but they change almost every week😬
Oh, and, I’m doing very well at the moment because I’m so so sooooo insanely grateful for all of you and all of the sweet messages you guys sent me in the form, they actually made me tear up🥺 so yeah… I’m actually happier than I ever could be and it’s really helping me a lot, especially during this time of year♥️♥️♥️
This was so insanely long, but I really want you guys to know how much you mean to me and I want to you to feel like you know me, like we’re friends. This is a safe place, I want my blog to be safe for you to come on here and read to escape a hectic life for a bit or just to sit down and relax, or whatever else you’re doing with my writing🤭🤫
AND PLEASE, if you ever need someone to talk to OR it’s the end of your day and you want to tell someone what you did or about something that happened, do NOT, and I mean, do NOT hesitate to write me!!!! Either send me an anonymous message in my inbox or send me a private message! I’m here to make friends too, so don’t be afraid to talk to me🤗
Wow, okay, this is long enough, I’m gonna go now and continue the new Minnie chapter to get it out tonight! Have a safe and good day/night and thank for everything! You really mean a lot to me!!♥️♥️♥️

I really loved your explanation regarding vmin it was retable. kanmom51 anon, Im using a little of your ask for @tokyokookmin to explain and narrate a lil about JIMIN shes a JM biased too so I felt that it would be appropriate to ask her.
"Because it’s no secret that JM doesn’t get any praise from the company, the choreographer, and all."
"When it comes to the members it’s a different topic. They hype Jimin up. We have J-Hope constantly praising JM. Jk completely in awe with JM dance. Jin thanking him for helping him rehearse."
"So for me Bighit for some reason doesn’t do anything for JM, no credit in his work, no acknowledgement, nothing."
I felt that every single word that this anon has said is pure truth and this remark deserves much more attention. We all know what's currently going on with JM, the situation is really bad and its getting worse, toxic solo stans are bashing him and they are comparing him to other members from every perspective + even the hate that he's getting bcuz of him "annoying jk" in that memories 2020.
I need you to explain on how a wonderful person JM is. Your impact makes a huge difference on people mindset. tysm keshhh.
Hey there anon!, I deeply understand your emotions. The hate that JM is going through is really bad and I have personally reported those accounts on twt etc. I even took a few snapshots of a tiktok video comment section... I will surely share them some day or another. Well then lets get started! I can't compare J-HOPE TO JM because they are my biases and both of them captivated my eyes, I just can't resist their flawless moves and they make a great dance unit... it would be incomplete without one of them + JK lol.
Most armies would say that JK is the golden maknae or he's the best overall in the team, well y'all took JM for granted, he's capable of doing so many things as well. But before that we need to talk about his dancing skills, I have made one blog about the 3J. Here's the link if you would like to know about their achievements/viral moments https://tokyokookmin.tumblr.com/post/654670945252933632/a-guide-to-the-dance-line..... this blog was mostly just me collecting info's lmao-.
1. DANCE ☝️
Well I found this incredible video from tiktok and I thought that this video would be perfect to describe his contemporary skills. Utmost respect to the creator for creating such a masterpiece!
Jimin Van Fleet Award!
Do we really need to talk about this? We all knew what impact he had given to audience with his remarkable traditional korean fan dance. He is extremely talented, after all he trained in contemporary.
Tumblr media
“I received many really big awards today. I sincerely appreciate it, and it was a day when I thought I would like to share it with you with better music and stage in the future. Thank you all for your support. #JIMIN# We have been unclear” #JiminWorldwideLoved 📷📷📷📷
"As emphasized by the ballet dancer, being lifted is not easy, just like in the case of Jimin in the said stage. A strong core, glutes, and chest are vital for the one being lifted." https://youtu.be/3RW91KT3bXw - another review from a japanese dancer.
He is extremely versatile and he can master any sort of genre. He excels in dancing, his moves and fluidity of his body is astonishing they way he moves every tissue in his body to perfectly to complete the cheoreo is just mind blowing, he is truly the embodiment of dancing! Believe me or not, you should pay more attention on his facial expressions... he keeps it graceful. His fingers and angle are on point.
Tumblr media
From MAMA 2016 Lie meets Boy meets evil to MMA 2020 black swan 🦢..I wonder what's coming up next.
2. Loving member
Jimin is the member that I connect emotionally to, he's a sentimental person but he just doesn't show it you just have to pay attention on his behaviour and actions. He consoles many of the members and he provides comfort for them. The picture I attached below sets a great example.
1. BTS MAMA 2018... It was a tough year for them. They were close to disbanding, and the members were emotionally drained. My heart sank when I saw hobi breaking down in front of the crowd, you can find tons of fancams but you should take a close look at Jimin. He handled the situation very well and I love the way he gives his subtle touch of love towards the other members.
2. Taehyung grandma death announcement
I don't think that I need to explain the about the situation. Taehyung was really sad and felt guilty as he couldn't mention his grandma name. He broke down and Jimin immediately noticed him and ran towards him and just gave him little pat/huggie.
3. The Final
Even by looking at the picture you can see the comfort. You know that GCF-TOKYO song “there for you’ which implies that Jk means he will be there for jimin but "you gotta be there for me too” which means jimin gotta be there for him too. So yeah, JM just know jungkook well and he comforts Jk pretty well.It was so cute and i wished i was a part of the audience, i would have had a panic attack looking at them being so cute, fluff, intimate ON STAGE . Too bad it’s impossible now .
Tumblr media
3.He's a badass [ athletic/ physical ]
Jimin has often talked about his experience in kendo, japanese fencing,Geomdo (검도, 劍道) “Way of the Sword” & hapkido. HAPKIDO: electid korean martial arts .It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, grappling, throwing techniques, kicks, punches, and other striking attacks.
https://youtu.be/oUcHghZQxiw - a video you may refer to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.4.Academic excellence
After Namjoon Jimin has the most remarkable academic achievements in bts. He was one of the top students in junior high and was THE top student in Busan arts high school from ALL the departments. Fun fact Jimin IQ is 128! He was valedictorian too.
"When he was in junior high, he was one of the top students so Jimin's dad thought of enrolling him in a foreign language school. When he decided to go to an arts school, his teachers tried to stop him and were disappointed. He was accepted as the top of his class and attended Busan High School of Arts. He was doing really good. Then he switched to K-pop dancing and decided to be a trainee in Seoul. Teachers also tried to stop him and were disappointed. Park Jimin's life is really something.
36. Our Jimin didn't spend a lot of time preparing for the arts school. He was dancing popping when he decided to go to the arts school. He then learned modern dancing for a little over a year and was accepted at Busan High School of Arts as the top of his class even though he was a dance majorπ TT TT Every member in this group could've been successful at anything. That group is our pride, BTS.
60. Wow! If there's only one dance class, it's really incredible~ It's hard to get a top student from dance department. And it was achieved by a male student and it's Park Jimin TTTT
67. That's what I know too.. I was looking into Busan Arts School before and one class for dance is probably correct. It was mostly music and art classes that I remember. So from Busan Arts School, one out of ten classes and a male student from dance department getting accepted as the top of the class...the percentage is just incredible. I know that the dance class has about 40 students? And male students could be 25:15 or 30:10. Jimin broke through this and became the top.
Namjoon and Jimin really made a huge gamble. They could've went the easier way. Truthfully, if they went their way, they both would have succeeded. But becoming an idol and not knowing what their future will be and BTS not being successful from the beginning must have been really hard for them. But now I'm glad they're successful and they can realize they've made the right choice."
cr @artimitatesjimin
I really respect and idolize him. His personality is unique and its different. He's been through alot. Being kicked from BTS for 8+ times, the members ranking his looks as the last and being called fat and ugly, that's really disturbing. He starved and went on diets just to please the audience and to have a jawline. He works his ass of and he really deserves more. He's obviously cutie, sexy, lovely, sweet guy! He prioritize his career, family and fans before anything. He has absolute heavenly vocals (+crazyyy high notes) and he is the definition of stage presence. PARK JIMIN IS THE STANDARD. Solo toxic fans are definitely going to attack on me but this is the reality.Jimin deserves more and he's such a sweet person. He performs with his whole heart and expresses it wonderfully,he goes all out and each performance comes out from his soul. He loves to perform. I MEAN FOR THE LOOKS, JIMIN IS THE FIRST FOR JUNGKOOK~.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He once even wasn't able to attend THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW due to his sore muscles.
He went through alot and he deserves the #1 in brand reputation, who doesn't admire his determination?
Tumblr media
Each member is unique in their own way. I want no hate or malice on my platform ~
Bits and pieces I collected anon! love ya ~ stay safe.

i've debated with myself so much about madam yu and saw you rt that post defending her and i read it but it still didn't sit right with me, i'm not chinese but i am from one of those taugh love mom cultures and still find her extra bad, i asked a few chinese people who don't stan the book and they were horrified at the defense and said that it was not normal, sure she shows regular ch mom characteristics but she's like the hyperbole of a ch mom so does anyone own the monopoly of wha's normal?
Hi there anon,
This is only my pov and I cannot speak from the perspectives of Chinese and Chinese diasporic people, nor for the people who wrote on the topic of Yu-furen (I can only speak of how I interpreted the posts I came across).
My understanding of the situation, however, is that they are not attempting to do with these posts what you are suggesting. You ask “does anyone own the monopoly of what’s normal”, which suggests you believe the posts meant to give a definitive answer on what is ‘normal’ behaviour, when in reality the posts seem to have been made with the opposite aim in mind: to remind people who do not share the cultural background of the intended audience of MDZS that there does not exist a single definition of what constitute “normal” behaviour and that fandom discussions dissecting every single action or word of Yu-furen’s toward any character to portray them as “clear signs of abuse” has been difficult to stomach and might even feel imperialistic for people who have been raised by parents who came from a cultural background where some of these very behaviours are not regarded as abusive.
These posts, in general, have also seemed to attempt first to explain the nuances of Yu-furen’s relationship to WWX, which often gets wrongfully portrayed as her unequivocally being his adoptive mother or a legal guardian. She is not a mother figure to him and does not act toward him from that position. These have also aimed to remind people that the behaviours and care we feel are “owed” to “children” as a group are spatiotemporally specific, and influenced by a variety of factors--in this case, WWX being the child of a servant and a disciple of the sect. By reminding people that, in her position, in that specific spatiotemporal moment, Yu-furen would have been allowed to be much more extreme in her disciplining or could have simply refused to let WWX stay in Lotus Pier, what I feel these posters are doing is not telling Westerners that they personally think it would be appropriate behaviour towards a child, but rather highlighting that this means something wrt how Yu-furen is characterised in the context of the novel considering that the intended audience of the novel would be aware of that reality. Differently put, that it suggests a framing of Yu-furen as someone that does bark more than she bites even if she does bite. And aside from the irrelevant surface-level readings of Yu-furen as a sort of “girlboss” that seem to originate mostly from the CQL-verse in any case, I’ve never seen anyone suggest that she is irreproachable. All the serious analyses I’ve seen acknowledge that Yu-furen is meant to be a complicated figure or acknowledge that she abuses her authority in the sect by giving WWX punishments she does not bestow on other disciples. What they seem to disagree with is the ways western fans make sweeping generalisations and accusations without the relevant context, which comes off to them as insensitive and coming from a place of cultural ignorance.
Maybe it is time for a discussion that humanist thought, that which underlines so much of our modern understanding of rights and social progress, flattens spatiotemporal differences (or, as they often talked about, cultural differences), staying deeply rooted in Western supremacy when it aims to provide a single answer to what is right and what is a right. It can verge very easily into the evangelical and the imperialistic: we have only to look at the influence of the “global” LGBT movement has had on erasing  localised social organisations and identity markers by superposing themselves unto them as more intelligible ideas through which to barter for rights with the political class. Or worst, by having the “global” LGBT movement frame localised expressions of queerness as not progressive enough or harmful (sometimes I think back at Gaudio’s ethnography of queer men in the Hausa-speaking region of northern Nigeria, and how the men who took on the penetrative role in sex  generally switch to self-reference and being referenced in a feminine way and using “women’s talk”, and thinking “wow, they would be so cancelled or condescended to by tumblr kids 😬”).
The point of this tangent is not to underline that everything about humanism or its influences on modern life are bad, but that it is an intellectual “tool” that can be do harm and be imperialistic and racist (since it is generally the White, Christian-adjacent, Western standards that are posited as the moral truth that defies differences in cultures and material contexts). And most of the discussions of what “adults” owe to “children” (ideas that are generally treated as homogeneous and clear-cut across time and space, as apriori categories), of what rights are owed to children, exist within these frameworks. Or, they might exist within the framework of “science,” as if science itself cannot be influenced by Western imperialism and researchers’ biases. Reading western language acquisition research and comparing it with cross-cultural ethnographic sociolinguistic research on language acquisition really highlights how some of the science that informs “good parenting” in the West is incapable of realising how much the material and cultural context of the West influences the results that are supposedly controlled.
Or, again, the idea that science can help us define clearly and once and for all where the line between shitty actions and abuse, or discipline and abuse, should be drawn, is to me one that cannot be dissociated from a belief that science can provide us with definite truths about our existence as social animals as if these sort of truths were not inherently positioned and negotiated. It is an uncomfortable idea, isn’t it, to realise that two people can be against abuse but at the same time not draw the line at the same place? How do we best grapple with the discovery that “abuse” is not an apriori category but rather one that is constructed according to varying forms of positioned and shifting knowledge and experience? I do not have an answer, but I certainly think that fandom arguments will probably not be the best place for that level of philosophical discussions.
To conclude, anon, I do want to acknowledge that your ask seems to come from a place of concern and perhaps even hurt. And that is perhaps why the posts from Chinese diasporic people in the fandom might appear to you as dismissive or flippant towards the interpretations of other fans of the novel. But perhaps without this prism of concern and/or hurt through which your perception of these analyses are filtered, you might have been able to notice a lot more nuance to their points than what your ask suggests. And that is not a criticism per se, but simply a reminder that, sometimes, some topics are difficult for us to approach clear-headed and to receive differing perspectives in good faith. In any case, I am certainly not the arbiter whose opinion on the topic will finally settle these debates, as such you might want in the future prefer to direct your questions (politely of course) to people who penned such analyses or who can speak from the relevant cultural perspective. If your aim in sending me this ask (because I reblogged a post you disagreed with) was to judge whether I passed your litmus test for being “morally just” to decide whether anything I have to say on any other topic is still worth paying attention to, well I suppose you now have your answer.

Tumblr media
Never did I expect that "Jade" wasn't Jade at all.
Never did I expect that "Jade" was Kevin Moon undercover on deobi stan twitter.
Never did I expect that Kevin Moon would find my thirst tweets so hilarious that he wanted to hear more about them.
The moment Jade accidentally said "I" instead of "Kevin" in a message, I knew something felt fishy.
But he played it off so well, I soon forgot about it.
But those things just kept happening.
Sometimes it didn't take Jade very long at all to think up how Kevin would react to something.
Sometimes the answers seemed so extremely accurate, they could only have been from Kevin himself.
And when I finally put all the many pieces together?
Oh boy. I was pissed. And immensely embarrassed.
But not near as embarrassed as I know I'm about to be in a few minutes.
I'm only a few people away from going up to the fansign table to meet The Boyz.
I wasn't gonna come. I wasn't even gonna enter. I knew it would be far too embarrassing and humiliating to see Kevin in real life after all the explicit things I said about him, inadvertently directly to him.
But when your best friend begs you to enter with her, you enter with your best friend.
And when you and your best friend both win, and she begs you to go so she isn't alone... you go so she isn't alone.
She owes me big time for this one.
Thank goodness that Kevin isn't first...
As I talk to Jacob, Chanhee, Sangyeon, and Eric, I was glad to discover that, even if he shared every conversation we ever had, Kevin at least hadn't show any of them what I looked like.
But my conversation with Eric is ending, and Kevin is smirking, telling me that he has already noticed me.
Time to die, I guess.
I say goodbye to Eric, give him a high five, and move to the next seat in front of Kevin Moon.
"Well, well, well." He smiles. "Fancy seeing you here."
I try to laugh. "Yeah..."
"Why so shy? You weren't this shy on twitter."
"Yeah, when I wasn't talking to Kevin Moon."
"Ah, but you were. You were talking to Kevin."
I simply roll my eyes in response and look down at my hands, trying to keep my face from getting too red.
"Listen, I do wanna apologize. I shouldn't have manipulated you like that."
"It's okay... I can't blame you. If I were in your position, I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. And there wasn't any real harm done, right? As long as it doesn't get out."
"Although, I must say..." His eyes darken. "I kind of liked hearing your thoughts about me. Especially in such detail." His hand lands on my thigh under the table and he feels me instantly tense up. He cracks a smile and chuckles. "I really do have an effect on you, don't I?" His voice is barely above a whisper, and his grip on my thigh tightens. "Just tell me if you want me to take my hand away and I will. Instantly. No questions asked."
"Okay." I think for a moment. Do I? Do I want him to move?
He looks at me expectantly, waiting for more of a response.
"I'll tell you if I do." I can feel my face heat up as I make my decision.
He smirks.
"I love how flustered you get." His thumbs slowly rubs the inner part of my thigh, thanks to his hand placement, and chills run up and down my back.
"Hurry up." A staff member says behind him, making sure the line doesn't get held up.
While Kevin's hand on my thigh isn't visible to the crowd, it IS visible to the staff. But they don't seem phased, nor do they seem to care.
Does Kevin have a habit of feeling up fans under the table or do they just wanna go home?
He leaves a cold spot on my leg as he pulls his hand away and quickly signs my album.
He answers the question post-it, which is actually a question from my Kevin-biased friend who couldn't try for a fansign slot, and then he flips the post-it up and writes something on the album page underneath the post-it.
"Move." The staff tells me. Kevin gives me a high five to look casual and throws me a wink as subtly as possible.
I continue on through the rest of the line, trying to keep my composure, especially when talking with Sunwoo and Changmin.
I may have said... a lot about them to Kevin.
A lot.
The fansign finally ends, and I don't remember Kevin writing something under the post-it note until the drive back to my friend's house.
"Hilton on Portico
Room 347
Should be back by 8
I'll have Q out of our room by 8:05
Hope to see you there"
No way.
No, he's kidding.
He's kidding right?
Did he just ask me to meet him in his hotel room tonight?
Why?
He doesn't want to... no.
No, that's impossible.
Why would he want to-
"Are you even listening?" My friend snaps me out of my thoughts and I quickly cover Kevin's message.
"Sorry, I spaced out... Can't stop thinking about meeting them, yknow?"
-
My hand raises to knock on the door, before I pull it back down.
8:06, my watch reads.
I shouldn't be here.
I shouldn't be here, right?
This is insane...
Maybe he wants to lecture me.
Maybe he wants to yell at me.
Why would he wanna yell at me after what he did at the fansign, though?
I shake my head and raise my hand to knock again.
No matter why he wants to see me at his hotel room, he wants to see me at his hotel room.
It must be important.
I carefully knock, suddenly regretting all of my life choices as I wait for him to open the door.
What if Changmin is still in the room?
What if his manager is in the room?
What if he wrote down the wrong room number?
What if he was just trying to play with me all along, and they aren't even at this hotel?
The door swings open and Kevin's face lights up.
"You came..." He sounds shocked, as if meeting Kevin Moon in his hotel room isn't a dream to many, many people. "Come in, please." He opens the door wider and steps to the side, allowing me to walk into the room. "I'm sorry it's still a mess... we have to refuse housekeeping services and I just got Changmin to leave a couple minutes ago. I didn't have a chance to tidy up for you..."
"No, no! It's no big deal, no worries. If only you saw my house, it's way worse..."
We stand in silence for a bit, both of us unsure exactly what to do next, when suddenly I gain a boost of confidence.
"Kevin, why am I here?"
He looks at me with eyes full of... I'm not sure what.
Thoughtfulness?
"I don't know. Why are you here?"
"You don't know? You're the one who told me to come." I scoffed.
"I know. But why did you come? What were you hoping would happen if you came to my hotel room? Or should I say..." His eyes darken again, just like they had at the fansign, and he steps towards me and takes my hand in his. "What are you still hoping will happen?"
All breath leaves me.
"Maybe I can jog your memory. Were you maybe hoping that I would... pull your hair and pound you from behind like you're nothing but my sorry cumslut?"
A sharp gasp involuntarily leaves my body as he boldly quotes one of the first things I ever told Jade, word for word. I can feel his ego boost by the second.
"Or maybe it was something more along the lines of..."
Kevin places his hands on my waist and pulls my body flush with his.
"Fingering you roughly until you're shaking and crying and begging for me to stop... but I don't."
Again, he quotes my own sexual fantasy to me, every word correct. Except this time it elicits a soft moan.
I can feel him hard against me, and I can't help but look away towards the floor in embarrassment.
"Look at me."
I can't bring myself to obey his command, no matter how much I want to.
"I said look at me." He grabs my chin and turns my face towards his, his eyes slowly moving away from my eyes and down to my lips.
His eyes and voice all tell me that he's having a hard time holding back, but he has to ask something first.
"Have you ever heard of the color system?"
"Yeah." I whisper, which is about the only volume I can muster up in the moment. "Like a traffic light, right?"
"Right. What color are you on right now?"
"Green."
"And what color would you be on if I kissed you?"
"Green."
That's all the approval he needs to quickly place one hand on the lower back of my head and softly press his lips into mine.
That softness does not last long, as the kiss soon turns into a quite passionate make out.
We begin to migrate, lips still together, until our legs hit the edge of the bed and Kevin pulls away from me.
"Your fantasies aren't soft. And you've got such a hold on me, I can't promise to be either. I don't wanna do anything that makes you uncomfortable, upset, or negatively helpless. I want you to use the colors. Is that okay with you?" Somehow his continuous consent checks make him a hundred times sexier.
"I can do that."
"Don't hesitate at all to say any of the colors at any moment, if you feel you want to. Okay?" Yeah, the continuous consent checks are really sexy.
"Okay."
"Where are we at right now?"
"Green."
With that, he smirks and pushes me onto the bed, quickly crawling on top of me to reattach his lips to my own.
His beautiful hands begin to wander and feel my body. He finds my waistband and slowly slides his thumb under it.
I know he's taking it slow just in case I change my mind, which is very considerate, but it only makes me frustrated.
I push him away slightly with my hand.
"Can you hurry it up, Kev? You've had me wet since lunch." Is all i say before grabbing his shirt and pulling him back into me.
I can tell he's holding back some kind of reaction to what I just did.
His hand fully slides under my waistband, both of them, and he begins to slide his hand lower and towards the middle...
The embarrassment surrounding my encounters with Kevin are being replaced with thankfulness. Who would have thought that thirst tweets would land me in a hotel bed, getting fucked by Kevin Moon?
He's just made me cum for the third time.
First time with his mouth and fingers, then twice by railing me in two different positions.
He says yellow as he pulls out, and I nod.
We both need a breather.
He lays down next to me, both of us breathing quite heavily. I'm definitely breathing heavier, though. Curse his dancer cardiovascular health.
"So, what do you think we should-" Kevin is cut off by the sound of the door being unlocked with a key card, and his eyes go wide. He hurries to pull the blanket up over me, covering up my naked body from the view of whoever was coming in.
The fact that he doesn't care at all about his dick still hanging out loud and proud makes me wonder just how comfortable he is with all his members AND staff...
The person entering starts saying something in Korean, and all I can pick out is that he's addressing Kevin for something.
As the mystery person turns the corner and we meet eyes, both of us freeze for a moment.
Kevin scolds Ji Changmin in Korean, and Changmin responds, clearly upset at Kevin for something.
Kevin checks his phone and mutters an "oh".
"I'm sorry." Kevin turns to me. "I told Q to stay out until 10, thinking we'd be done by then... but I guess we've been having a little too much fun..."
The room reeks of awkwardness (and sex, but that's besides the point), until Changmin shyly raises his hand to wave at me.
"Hello. I'm Q."
I chuckle and wave back.
Kevin says something to Changmin. I'm unable to pick out any words to grasp at some sort of context before Changmin's eyes widen even further and he points at me, simply saying...
"Deobi?"
I nod.
Kevin's face suddenly turns devilish, and he starts talking to Changmin again.
I feel very out of the loop, but the way Changmin's face is turning beet red isn't making me optimistic as to what Kevin is saying.
"Kevin, what did you just tell him?"
Kevin keeps talking and Changmin's eyes dart back and forth from me to Kevin, and then I notice they glance down.
His grey sweatpants are not being very forgiving as to hiding his erection.
"Kevin!" I try a second time.
"What, baby? A man deserves to know what a sexy woman wants him to do to her."
I grab a pillow and throw it at him, hard, before hiding my face in the sheets.
Kevin apologizes in both English and Korean, and I hear Changmin giggle awkwardly.
Kevin says one last thing and I hear someone going through a suitcase.
I peek out from the sheets and see Changmin riffling through his bag, still replying to Kevin, before tossing something at Kevin.
Kevin thanks him, using one word of Korean I do know.
Changmin leaves, not before saying a kind goodbye to me, and Kevin turns to me.
"This might be fun, don't you think? If my memory is being kind to me, you've definitely mentioned me using one of these on you." He holds up the vibrator that Changmin threw at him.
What on earth does Changmin get up to on tour?
"Did he say anything about what you... told him?"
"He asked if you were gonna still be in town tomorrow. I sure hope you are, cause I said yes. And tomorrow it seems I'll be the one leaving the room all night... if you want to, of course."
I start getting wet again at the prospect.
"But don't think about him too much yet. I'm not done with you yet, baby." He clicks a button on the vibrator. "Green?"
"Green."
He looks at me like he's a hungry lion, before pouncing on me.
Rest time is over.
--------
THE UNGOLDY SCREECH THAT LEFT ME OMG THANK YOU FOR SENDING THIS IN
"Somehow his continuous consent checks make him a hundred times sexier" IT'S TRUE. I'm not okay. My mind was babble the entire time, especially when Changmin walked in 🤤 the idea of it all... beautiful 😍 is it okay if I tag this a tbz smut? I think more people deserve to read this. I'll delete the tags if you want me to!

The TUA fandom needs to be more self-aware of all the racial stereotypes and biases they hold. Like, I have seen too many "Vanya and Klaus never hurt anyone and are always so bullied" takes, or "Diego being irrationally angry or possibly violent", or "Allison has it easy, she should have been a support object to Vanya", or "Ben is actually abusive to Klaus and Klaus is just perfect". Like who you like, but please stop playing out harmful stereotypes again and again.
Honestly? You are so right.
The really bad one is the blaming of Allison for her getting her throat slit and acting like she was the one in the wrong for rumoring Vanya (while manipulated, AT AGE 4) and the one offense was worse, like are you for fucking real? Or the not blaming her per se but saying “Allison deserved to have her throat slit”. And being mad at Luther for locking up Vanya, which yeah it was a bad decision... but if it was Klaus whose throat she slit, it would be the COMPLETE opposite reaction.
Diego being irrationally angry or possibly violent, I don’t know about. That’s kind of how his character is in the show is the thing -- he has a short fuse and picks fights a lot. I mean, he and Luther both were boxers at time, and Diego in particular is pretty quick to violence and tries to pick fights (at least in season 1). But I see it more like an immaturity/emotionally stunted thing. I haven’t really seen people acting like he’s bad or anything. I will say though: I like when people have him acknowledge that he’s Latino and “act” Latino in fanfictions, but only when it is done authentically. But most of the people who write him like this are clearly not Latino, and it is very obvious and extremely uncomfortable to read. Like they take only the biggest stereotypes you can imagine, and incorporate them in the most obvious ways.
And about Ben, I agree that it’s fucked up when people act like he’s abusive -- but I don’t think that has anything to do with race. I think it honestly has more to do with them trying to woobify Klaus and act like he’s a Poor Baby all the time, and everyone else is “out to get him.” Even Ben, who stayed by his side for years and constantly helped him, was his only consistent friend, etc. Anyone who doesn’t treat their fave (Klaus, Vanya.... mostly Klaus) like an angel, is bad.
Anyone who acts like Ben is abusive to Klaus, I just...HOW!??! The possession storyline brought up issues of consent, yes I understand that (although, I think Jill was the one who we should have been more concerned for in that situation). But if we’re discussing their relationship at large, how and when is Ben “abusive?” I hate when people throw around terms like that, they act like someone saying one mean comment makes them abusive -- as if Ben telling Klaus one time that his pants are ugly makes him abusive (I kid, but this is truly how people act in this fandom). If anyone, Klaus has been the one who was using Ben for his own gain for 16 years, and you know based on how they talked that he never said thank you.
There is a very potent racial stereotype people use with Ben though, and it’s how the biggest Ben stans have treated him in fanon. With very little to go off in terms of his personality from season 1, everyone decided Ben was this super shy kid who was smart, just read books all the time, was very quiet -- basically, an incredibly passive kid. In season 1, in his very few lines, he is sarcastic with Klaus all the time, always has some sardonic comment, and is very vocal given his situation. In Vanya’s flashback to their childhood when she walks by Klaus and Ben, Ben rather aggressively tells Vanya to get out.... I’m pretty sure.that’s our one example of child!Ben having dialogue.
Like, am I the only one who finds it a bit telling that the fanon version of child Ben is the stereotypical passive/nerdy East Asian kid? Because canon does not show him like that at all, yes he was a good kid, but nothing in canon suggests he was shy, quiet, passive, etc. Vanya was clearly presented as the shy/quiet one, due to her isolation. Also, the comics don’t show Ben’s character to be like that at all either, so don’t try that.
Also, I don’t ship any of the siblings, but I don’t judge people for it. However, I’ve seen people who really hate on Alluther, only to ship the other siblings... it’s hypocritical as fuck, and you can’t convince me that it has nothing to do with them being an interracial couple.

So I’m kind of new to the fandom. I’ve been casually watching the show for a couple years now but only recently got into the fandom side. And I have to say, never in my life have I seen so much drama and toxicity in one place. I’m ashamed to admit that I’m enjoying the drama though lol.
Before I start though, I personally believe you can make anyone sound problematic if you try hard enough, we’ve all done and said stupid things, but when you decide to become famous you should be ready to be held accountable for the smallest things, not saying it’s right. It’s just how things are unfortunately.
So far I’ve decided that I just don’t like Jared and Danneel, did you know she used the same bullying tactics that Jared has used? I saw a screenshot from her story where she called someone out for... being mean to her? I can only hope the poor girl is ok after her dms were most likely flooded with angry stans. And she just seems so tacky, it’s really obvious if you take a look at her tweets from a decade ago, this woman does not have the potential or capacity to be any kind of famous. And honestly I think one of your anons were right about J2 being trumpies, especially Jared, I was looking for dirt on him and the guy said in a tweet that cracker is a slur? So far everyone I’ve met who had those kind of ideologies turned out to be somewhat of a racist so idk. As for Jensen, he seems to be a bit smarter in the sense that he knows when to stay quiet, but I think he’s probably the same as Jared. I think I remember him making a joke right alongside Jared when he was making that chloroform rape joke. And I think he said the N-word in his last panel with Jared? I think it was a fan’s name. I’ve been told he got the name right the first time and then practically said the N-word the second time around. I do think J2 are closet republicans who are trying to seem progressive because that’s what sells these days.
And Gen, she just seems so... uninteresting? Like I have no desire to know anything about her, unlike the others. But your blog helped out a bit with that. I still think she’s boring and uninteresting lol. I honestly think she should’ve just tried to get a role without Jared’s help. It probably would’ve been real hard, but earning a role through nepotism will not help her career if she decides to ever have one again. But then again, I remember thinking her acting paled in comparison to Katie Cassidy’s, who also played the character Ruby the season before Gen came along. So good luck to her I guess lmao.
So far the only one I’m unsure about is Misha? I mean you’ve got the hardcore Jared stans and the hardcore Misha stans, from what I’ve seen, both sides are extremely biased, and frankly, they all look like idiots from the outside, and they both have completely different beliefs. But you seem to be a bit more level headed, so I thought I’d ask you, tell me all the dirt. What are some of the shitty things he’s done? And I’m sorry this got so long.
The Supernatural fandom is one of the worst fandoms to be in. One of the big reasons that I stopped watching the show was because of the fans, I’ll be honest. But yeah, it is kinda fun to watch the drama, as long as you’re at a distance and safe!
I absolutely agree that anyone can be problematic. Hell, if I became famous and people found my old tweets or Facebook posts, even Tumblr posts, I’d probably be “cancelled” or called out. I’m not a terrible person, but we’ve all been young and dumb and we’ve all been embarrassing, that’s just part of life.
Danneel has absolutely been a bitch, there’s really no nice way of saying it. Fans have had horrible experiences with her in real life too. I think if she was more active on social media again, she’s still be showing her true colors, but she’s not active really.  I do remember Jared’s “cracker” controversy and like....I try not to be political, but really dude? I’m white and I don’t consider cracker to be racist or a slur. It’s ridiculous to me? I’m no History major, but I don’t recall people using cracker to describe white people who were considered “lower than” others.
Jensen is overall a lot smarter than Jared, but he has made mistakes still. The difference is that Jensen apologizes, he holds himself accountable, and he changes his behavior to make sure that he doesn’t make those mistakes again. No one is perfect, but at least Jensen can own up, take responsibility and change. Jared....well we know Jared.
Gen is....well you said you’ve seen my blog, and there are other “antis” here who can shed even more light. She’s uninteresting but thinks she’s the bee’s knees.
Don’t be sorry about the message getting long! I’m famous for being long-winded, so you’re among friends!
Misha is......Misha. His fans are absolutely insane (I know there are some normal ones) so any sort of negative backlash against him is usually buried. I’ve made a few posts about him and why I stopped really being a fan of his, but I will try to summarize!
I started getting kind of turned off to him around the 2016 election because he was bombarding social media with politics and I just wasn’t there for it. A lot of fans came after me for that but that’s their prerogative. I actually started seeing some anti posts on here and went down a rabbit hole of things that I’d looked past or didn’t know about that all mounted up. Some of those things are; (I don’t have links for everything because the one blog that had compiled everything together isn’t active anymore, but someone might have screenshots!) Also in no particular order!
Misha admitting to leering at kids at a playground while preparing for his role in Karla.
Having his young female fanbase send him pictures of themselves only wearing cheese bikinis or kale swimsuits, etc. for GISHWHES. I know some people think “it’s just a goofy scavenger hunt” but if it wasn’t Misha Collins, would you want your barely legal sister sending pictures of her only wearing cheese to a 40 something year old man?
His constant blatant disrespect for Jensen and his aversion to Destiel, his baiting of the fans and complete abandonment of Jensen when he gets the backlash.
He baits the Destiel fans to the point of them making Jensen uncomfortable, then when Jensen puts his foot down, the fans attack him harshly. Where was Misha for that? Silent. Even though he was the one who eggs everyone on.
Being rude, sexual, and otherwise inappropriate in front of children at conventions. I know fans will say “it’s not his responsibility to monitor kids!” but the fact that he continues to act like that while knowing there are kids in the audience is weird. I wouldn’t be making sexual jokes or being lewd in front of kids, that’s gross.
His whole “charity” act that is really just him profiting from his “kindness” acts and his GISHWHES hunts. Pretty charitable of him.
The fact that he uses Stands to push baiting merchandise onto fans with no regard to how Jensen feels, just to make a buck. (In addition to that, he doesn’t reign in the Stands staff who are horrible to fans and customers.)
I’m sure that there’s more, but that’s all I can think of at the moment! Hopefully that sheds some light! I try not to be too biased either way, but with some of the things it’s hard not to.

okay i have Feelings about NEO: TWEWY and nobody to shout them at because literally nobody else I know plays it which is truly a crime; the original twewy remains one of my favourite games to this day.  but anyway.  massive NEO TWEWY spoilers inbound:
First of all it truly is a miracle that this game even exists.  I never once actually believed we’d get a sequel.  Let alone one this good!! It is really, really good!!!
Things I Enjoyed:
- The gameplay.  Whoo boy.  Up to about 4 team members, anyway.  It’s fast paced, button mashing satisfaction, that manages to keep elements from the original game while still being fresh and fun, if not entirely chaotic, which is why after 4 characters, it was a bit like, ‘okay, chill, let us switch out or something’ lmao
- The new characters.  Although I feel like we leave the game not knowing as much about them as I would like, the new team are really great, and Nagi in particular really shone in terms of character grown.  Rindo.. I feel like I know as little about him now as I did at the start :|a Maybe I just missed something.
I honestly found the teams and their leaders kinda forgettable >>;; Although the heel-face turn on Motoi was pretty great.  I needed more from Kanon to feel anything when she, yknow.
The new reapers were... a mixed bunch. Shoka was fantastic, Susukichi was... a bit much in English, great in Japanese, Tsugumi was great but didn’t get enough screen time (unless she gets more post game, I dunno yet) Shiba annoyed the fuck outta me, Kaie was alright.. the others... meh.  They don’t hold up to Kariya and Uzuki. And obviously Kubo sucks ass pfft
- The reappearing characters.  of course i loved them.  i got a hit of serotonin every time one appeared on my screen. neku my son. josh  the reapers.  i was never a huge minamimoto stan lmao but he was fun. even curry don. but some were DIRELY underutilised which i WILL COME BACK TO
- THE MUSIC.  twewy cannot fail on its music, it’s amazing, it’s glorious, it’s multi faceted, it goes hard. and adding in Beat’s psyche, a rhythm mini game acting as the fast walk button???? yes. yes yes yes yes.  yessssssss.
- The graphics.  Mostly.  Everything looked beautiful, and HD, and the character designs were great - not toooooooooo Nomura but Nomura enough, yknow? And the occasional chibi faces were great lol.  The chaotic battles sometimes caused lag which... I mean, they coulda given us the option to turn off some of the animations or damage graphics lmao but hey.  the forced perspective on shibuya was a bit off occasionally but it was how the original game did it and it’s all for the ~aesthetic~ so hey.  And it was great seeing some of the original locations looking so much more fleshed out
- The Localisation.  Personally, I think the translators struck a perfect balance that made the kids seem like they’d fit right into today’s culture.  It wasn’t forced, it wasn’t ‘look at us we are Teenagers’, it was right on the mark.  And it was really, really interesting hearing just how different the Japanese VA lines were compared to the English translations.  They really went all out and it paid off, imo.
Dislikes: (i haven’t read the secret reports yet tho)
- UNDERUTILISATION OF THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS - now, look, okay, I’m biased.  I admit it.  I’m a Josh and Neku stan lmao, so I was looking forward to seeing them the whole game.  And as it went on and on and I realised I wouldn’t be until much later, it bummed me out.  The bait n’ switch with Beat was funny at first, and I enjoyed it a lot, until I realised that yeah, that’s what they’re going with.  Beat’s probably my least favourite partner from the original (sorry) but even disregarding that, it annoys me that they gave him like 10,000x more screen time than even Neku.
Not to mention Shiki and Joshua!  Josh in particular I could write a whole essay on how pissed I am.  The lost potential.  Nobody mentioning him, ever, once.  Until he just sorta shows up and says a few things.  It makes NO SENSE, he’s the fucking composer, Neku and Beat worked with him, why aren’t they questioning his whereabouts when Shibuya’s turning to shit??????’  I just?????? I had low hopes for Josh content tbf but I am still disappointed :( And naught but one singular Hanekoma mention, as well.  Sigh.
Shiki, it’s a shame she doesn’t appear more, she certainly could have - I can think of like 5 ways off the top of my head - having her as a partner would have also been extremely good.
Neku at least we got..... half a week with. and as a PC.  And like, I know it’s not supposed to be about them, but throw us a bit more than cheap fanservice, yknow. And Kariya and Uzuki were great too.
- why, oh why, was every single team lackey male????  they couldn’t be arsed to make female designs????? it baffled me.
- SO. MUCH. SHIBUYA. TRAVERSING.  I don’t remember if it was that bad in the original?! But oh my god lol.  I think a lot of it was padding.  Sure felt like it.  Paired with the slightly hand hold-y mission progression cutscenes, they coulda cut a bunch of those out.
Other Stuff:
- The voice acting - fantastic in Japanese, okay in English, except for the returning characters?? didn’t sound great??? in english??? I was hyped to turn English back on for Beat but.... nah. Nahhh.  Nagi’s English VA was absolutely the best imo.
- They nailed the feel of the old game without totally copying it - the food, clothes, general aesthetic, music.  That said, it still felt a little too tied to the original.  Ironic considering the rant above I know lmao but... yeah.  The player psyches were a nice touch but I feel like it needed something to set it apart a lil more from its predecessor.
- I didn’t realise A New Day existed until literally today and I wish I had seen it before I played Neo.  Now I know who Coco is lmao.  And Shinjuku’s erasure was part of that too! arghhhh. Nomura stop burying plot points in other things.  I’m a DS OG dont do this to me
- Rindo’s time travel power was cool but jumping back to the same point like 3 or 4 times in some cases got old
- You could really feel the KH3 energy of ‘play 30 hours until something or someone pivotal finally appears’ lol.  Nomuraaaaa.
... anyway.
TL;DR good game, needed more Josh, also needs more fans please

“...Bucky comes from the Jim Crow era and hasn’t really socialized that much, whereas Sam is very much a black man of this time, so what can these two stand to learn from each other as they embark on this global journey together?”
Sebastian: “Bucky’s gotta come out of his shell, you know what I mean?  And learn to accept the past and, and move forward and get to know the world as it is, you know? And who else to better introduce him to that than Sam Wilson?”
Anthony: “I think both characters, coming from where they came from and being the men that they are, they realize that the world has changed and evolved. The Blip has put us in a position where we no longer are accessible to the way of thinking that was before the Blip. That’s what gave us Thanos. So, both characters are smart enough to know that the - the future is different, and they’ve always been progressive enough to see that and move along with it.”
Kari: “Both Sam and Bucky are facing - you know, from a personal place - issues that - that are very real world. Sam’s family’s in crisis and Bucky is in his own crisis because he’s dealing with guilt issues. He’s got mental health issues; he’s trying to navigate what the consequences of his actions are.”
Malcolm: “We say it like this. Bucky showed up with more baggage than any hero in Marvel history, right? And we took all that baggage and distilled it down to a single storyline and a single character that he’s dealing with. If he fails, he is the monster that he worries he might be. And if he succeeds, he’s reborn as someone that might actually be worthy of becoming a hero in his own right. Because in Bucky’s mind, he’s never been a hero.”
Kari: “And then we have, you know, the discussion of the shield. Because Sam was given the shield, and he says: ‘it doesn’t feel like mine’. And he has to decide if it is his, and what is it for a black man to pick up that shield? Is it both good and bad? What is it for the black community? Is it relevant?”
Malcolm: “Sam’s reaction to the shield is not what people expect. The journey in dealing with the stars and stripes is not an easy one for him. Rejecting it is hard, and accepting it is extremely hard, you know what I’m saying? The stock he comes from - I don’t wanna spoil it - but there’s a long legacy of black folk who come from that stock. When you see these unique scenes that he has, confronting these villains, and you see him respond in a way that isn’t typical for a superhero, the audience now will have a deeper understanding as to how because they got to spent time in his personal life, and regarding Anthony - we stole a lot of his personal life to create that personal life for Sam.” (laughs)
“Oh, wow.”
Malcolm: “Yeah.”
“What are you excited for fans to see, because this is the first time we’re going to see them in this light?”
Sebastian: “Just for them to get to know them better, you know? To spend a day in the life of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as - as we haven’t seen, you know? And - and that actually ends up being much more relatable than all those epic times you’ve met them in the movies.”
“This episode confirms that, you know, as Avengers, you don’t really get paid for your work. I’m curious about what your reaction was when you saw that in the script, and do you think the Avengers should unionize - for benefits?”
Anthony: “I think that was called Civil War (laughs). No, we definitely should. I think, you know, it’s interesting; I always ask the question, like, you know when the Avengers show up, they destroy whole cities and just, like, crush people and how - what do they do for a living? Like - where, where does their money come from? Always believed it was Tony Stark and, you know, ‘cos, he owns - ob - obviously, he owns an Audi dealership somewhere. The idea of them making a living at what they do - I , I don’t think that’s the important thing. I think they do it for the betterment for the world, for saving people’s lives. So, they have their ins and outs, their odd-jobs to make sure that they’re taken care of; government sponsorship, funding, government housing.”
“What was also nice...in this first episode was seeing Rhodey there and just like the mentor-sort of mentee relationship...can you just talk a little bit about what that relationship means in this series?”
Kari: “You said it; it’s sort of got a bit of a mentorship kind of quality to it, It’s also - you know - very relevant to the story of Sam and the shield and what he’s gonna decide. Rhodey is kind of posing the question: ‘Is there going to be a world where nobody carries the shield?’ Allies have become enemies and the world has changed. During the blip obviously there was a certain amount of cooperation, much like our pandemic; shared grief, shared loss, and so you had a world that was cooperating in a different kind of way and now you’re post Blip, and all of a sudden, people want it to go back.”
Malcolm: “We were all in love with the idea like, you know, Marvel’s two black superheroes - the ones that are most well known anyway - ‘cos, you know, T’Challa’s African - they’re African-American. There’s a shorthand that they have together, you can imagine, you know what I’m saying? - where all the issues Sam is coping with, with, with Don Cheadle, with the actors on that level - by - by them just pausing and being silent for a minute, the audience can fill in the blanks and just having them two brothers on the screen at the same time; that was huge for me, man - I , I, I - I just; I geeked out over that, you know?”
“...outside of Black Panther, you don’t get that moment really.”
Malcolm: “That’s right, and like I said, T’Challa and Black Panther basically shattered all the biases against black heroes, but if we’re taking about identity, T’Challa is a King, and T’Challa is African. And though he does deal with some of the same issues that Sam and Rhodey might, they have a unique perspective on the world.”
“And we do know that Sharon Carter is gonna be in this series. What can you say about her role and her dynamic with the team?”
Malcolm: “She’s - she is flipped. Not flipped out or crazy or nothing like that, But Sharon has - if, go watch - if the fans watch Civil War - they can fill in the blanks on what Sharon has probably had to deal with and so when we meet Sharon, she has definitely evolved. The term I use, it’s not dramatic or nothin’, but she has definitely grown up.”
“...there’s going to be threat that brings the Falcon and the Winter Soldier together, so can you talk about what this threat is and how that sort of forces the Winter Soldier and the Falcon to sort of team up?”
Kari: “It’s relevant to the - the blip and as I just said, the fact that world has, you know, now enemies and al- allegiances have changed; and it’s all changed quite quickly. In the opening action sequence, we get a taste of what that is; that it’s - it’s kinda of - it’s a bit unwieldy. And so, we’re gonna discover, through, through the course of the next episodes just what that means.”
Malcolm: “We wanted the crisis that the heroes were dealing with to be something that every single fan could - could look at and be like ‘Oh, I identify with that - that’s a very real; that’s a very real crisis.’ We wanted these villains to be born from this crisis and we wanted our heroes to have to be approaching them from a point of view that is so human and anchored in modern struggle today that this whole piece feels like the superhero franchise of the future.”
“...can we expect some easter eggs or some, you know, cameos...?”
Kari: “Well there’s always - there’s always easter eggs, and what’s wonderful about Marvel and MCU is each series is very much it’s own unique animal. So, ours is very different from WandaVision and so obviously, you know, one of Marvel’s trademarks is the easter eggs, what’ll be interesting to see is if everybody catches them. “
