I love love LOVE the art, cosplay, and writing in this fandom, it’s fucking FANTASTIC. The video makers too, I don’t know how edits work but they do not miss, they’re awesome.

If you want hollowgast art, @carmine-golde has the most badass designs and definitely my favorite OC to play with, especially paired with the government-assigned ymbryne she gave me in return 🤣

@trainwrecksys with Bentham is me with Enoch. He single-handedly made me like (at least his) Bentham. That’s an achievement, I am stubborn and hold grudges. Go look at his art he will also make you like Bentham (plus his animation skills??????? Give me your BRAIN how do you have the patience for this)

Since we’re talking wights, check out @cauls-antique-pepperbox-pistol for literally everything about Caul and Murnau. He has the COOLEST art style and also the awesomest headcanons ever??? I literally never think about the wights how do you guys come up with these things for them this is COOL

I thought, in the meantime, I’d answer the questions you have left me so far, so you can get to know me a little bit better too!🤗 I’m not going to publish the questions directly but I’m just going to introduce myself by answering them in a text, I hope that’s okay!♥️

I’m Maddie, I’m 20 and live in Austria :) I’m currently studying English and Literature at university because I absolutely love the English language and I read A LOT😅 it’s not my dream course but it will do for now. I’m going to apply for a film university in January/February to study either Screenwriting or Production (depending on which one I get into) because it has always been a dream of mine to write my own film or tv show one day… big dream, I know… we’ll see where that goes

I got into Kpop through a friend who showed me an NCT and GOT7 music video (NCT’s Make A Wish, literally the day it came out, and GOT7 Not By The Moon, I think it was). I immediately fell in love with the visual of the music video itself and the flow of the music. Obviously I found the guys extremely attractive too😅 and I fell in love with Jaebeom’s voice right away🥰. So yeah, I haven’t been a Kpop stan for too long but I’m very passionate about it.

Fun Fact: when I found Exo and iKon, I realised that I had been listening to their songs without realising it was Kpop, haha. I used to listen to iKon kinda a lot I guess because I already knew most of their songs without knowing about them.

The first group that I really really got into was GOT7. I still think they are one of the funniest groups that has ever existed and it’s the saddest thing ever that they could have become so much bigger if it weren’t for jay why pee. I also got into EXO pretty quickly and I still really like them but with there not being much content, it’s hard to keep with them regularly, but I listen to their music all the time and at least three songs are always in my monthly playlists. After GOT7 got free in January, I’ve started focusing more on their solo stuff (ESPECIALLY JAYB AND YUGYEOM BC I LOVE THE KRNB AND KHH SCENE) and I love it!!! I found Seventeen very quickly after getting into Kpop, thanks to the Tag episode and Minghao😂 Again: once I heard some of their songs, I really felt like I’ve heard them before, especially Left & Right and Home… maybe I have, maybe it’s just my brain playing tricks on me, but the seemed so familiar and that’s actually also what drew me so much into them. The feeling of familiarity and comfort these 13 men radiate is like nothing I’ve ever seen or experienced. I went through a very tough time throughout my teenage life and honestly, I’m not sure where I would be now if it wasn’t for these guys (as well as Exo, GOT7, iKon, and many more!) being able to distract me and make me laugh and be happy… sounds cliché but it’s crazy how much music can effect and help people!

Biases? Oh god… I know I asked you to tell me about yours but choosing my own is SO HARD😅 so, first of all: definitely Wonwoo. I admired him from the start because I relate to him in a lot of ways. Minghao is definitely also one of them, as well as Jeonghan and Hoshi has been testing me a lot in the past few weeks… Mingyu too… that’s the life of a Carat I guess :) from other groups: Chanyeol, Hanbin, Bobby, Jaebeom, Yeji, Jennie, Rosé, Jin (only based on Run BTS), Soobin, Yeonjun, Sunwoo, Sangyeon, Chanhee, Sejun

There’s so many more probably😂

Talking about biases, talking about Hanbin: Minnie and the (ex) love of her life… well, unless you’re following the Alternative Ending, then it is the love of her life🤗 I based Minnie kinda off of me in some aspects because I knew that if I do that, I’ll be able to write her the best way I can because I’m just writing about what I’d do and think and stuff :) now why B.I? For one: he deserves the world and if I can give him happiness in the story, then I will. Also, Jennie and Hanbin got shipped kinda a lot I guess, so there are a lot of pictures I was and will be able to use. And yes, I’m an iKonic too! :)

About updating: I really don’t have a routine, although I wished that I’d do. I update whenever I feel like it but since I love writing a lot, I tend to get inspiration very quickly and just like to upload stuff, whether that’s Minnie chapters, Jealousy Looks Good On You, or something from my inbox 🤗 I hope that once I’ve caught up with uni stuff, I get into a routine that I can let you know about!

and I'm flattered you're asking me for tips but I don't know because I don't think I've ever made over 10k a year (yet!!) Society6 and Redbubble are very small income streams for me, my biggest sources are from direct freelance work (commissions from patrons and concept art contract work)

I've honestly been really struggling lately with this personally, but the hard truth of an artist career is that most artists who don't have 100k+ follower counts exist in a feast/famine financial situation (and even artists who ARE internet famous probably exist in this as well!), where if they get one high-paying job that job will have to sustain them for months until they find another

all artists I personally know of either find themselves in this lower-middle-class bracket, OR they are either supported by their family, their partner, or they have a day job to supplement their art income.

all this being said, my biggest piece of advice would be to put yourself out there as much as possible and to be as shameless about it as you possibly can. create dedicated art accounts in as many places as you can, apply to art jobs outside of your skill level, create a portfolio (either on Artstation or your own website) and just don't give up!!

so much of building an art career is just taking a 'fake it til you make it' attitude, which is why I give off the confident appearance of making a living off art despite uh..... not actually doing so. 😅 I'm trying though, and while the progress is slow..... it is still happening.

Alright...I’ve been meaning to make this for a while now but I kept blanking on what to say. So I hope these thoughts(tm) I’ve ended up forcing out of my head would make enough sense for you all haha. Apologies in advance for the wall of text.

When I started with this IF project of mine, I will admit that I rushed into it. It was my mistake for being too excited and not giving this a proper plan. I had the plot idea of course, but I’m more so talking about me not putting more care into organizing a blog, or even with the demo. I had shared the first iteration of the demo on the COG forum with only an incomplete prologue for crying out loud.  

And because of these things, I felt like it reflected on Nevermoore’s quality during its development. Like, I could never give you guys the content you deserve because I kept going back to edit chapter 1. But at the same time really I’m super grateful for your patience as I did that since I did want the demo to be as best as I can make it.

Decent progress has been for the next update, by the way. I just finished on my edits/restructuring of chapter 1, and will now move on to chapter 2 which will probably see the biggest changes. For those who weren’t aware, I will be combining most of what I had planned for ch3 into ch2 so you’ll at least get to see some new stuff when the update goes live!

And speaking of the update...I’ve been thinking of giving Nevermoore a new start through this. Yes, I know that I sort of did that already with the ch1 rewrite a few months back, but I want an actual fresh start this time. 

What do I mean by that? Well an ‘official’ proper dev blog for one thing. When the update draws nearer, I will be creating a sideblog that will be Nevermoore focused only (Nevermoore-IF is the name I’m leaning towards). With that blog, that is where I’ll also create the long-overdue intro post and put more effort into answering asks.

As for this blog aka @asteristories, I’m probably going to just turn this into a personal where I reblog other authors IFs, writing tips/advice, and maybe even share some of my art and non-IF writing among other things! There are a lot of old asks here, and many of them have been retconned by now. But for the ones that aren’t, I will either reblog them into the new blog or recreate them in a text post haha. (Oof the number of times I say the word ‘blog’...)

There’s other stuff I’d like to get done for NM as well, so to put it simply, this is what you should expect when Nevermoore undergoes its new cycle (like a Phoenix rising from it’s nonexistant ashes sksksksjkl)

I also considered in making a Ko-Fi, but I’ve decided not to worry about that just yet until I have all of these out for you guys first!

Hi, disassociation anon here! Ah, it seems when I actually gain some footing in my life, the world around me crumbles😅 Aka, guess who's stuck on the wrong side of the russian-ukrainian war and now has to deal with my abusive brother being violently pro-patriotic and an increased amount of conflicts and abuse going on in the house because of the ideological differences and the economy slowly crumbling around us. My plans to go to a desired uni fell through because of the sanctions, everything is slowly going to shit and half of the essentials are missing from shops, but somehow I'm able to keep my cool despite still planning to go into medicine, which would mean that if things go to shit completely I'll be among the first ones they'll send to die (doctors are technically part of the military here and are immediately summoned in case of a conflict)

Despite all of... Well, that, I only disassociatied like once, and that was for a short two hours! For some reason, this is the time my positive outlook on life, which was lost about 10 years ago, decided to return. Probably as a coping mechanism lmao but not complaining

Hi! Disassociation anon here with an unfortunate update, this one will get heavy✌🏻

Things only keep getting worse and worse - not only in the country, but also in my house. My family, who had already been capital A assholes before complete with racism, homophobia, transphobia as well as shitty abusive personalities have been brainwashed by the propaganda (it's insane, I've literally heard my mother say that genocide is okay, what the fuck). Soooo due to that their violent tendencies have exploded.

In the past two weeks my brother has: come home shaking with rage and screamed that he would kill our mother and then himself by the end of the day (I texted some friends and prepared to run if shit hit the fan), stated that he "should've killed me the first time he pointed a gun at me", has started to regularly attempt to harm me and threaten to hurt me or break my bones, and now he's brought another gun in the house claiming that it "needed maintenance". Ha. As if I can't see through his bullshit. So anyway now I regularly have to worry if my own family member will murder me. Yay!

My mother has gotten even more verbally and physically abusive - hitting him, holding screaming matches and rountinely calling both of us a failure and the reason of her misery.

Worst thing is - I'm stuck. My plan was to lay low until graduation and start working in the summer (since I can't exactly do that with 12 hour school days which drain every bit of energy out of me) to hopefully save up enough to move out in some time, but with the economy crashing looks like that might not happen. So... Any tips for searching jobs or maybe working online? A single dollar can get you quite far with the current state of my country's economy so anything will do but I don't even know where to start. I'm sure I'll be fine (unless my brother goes into a murderous rage and kills me) but if you have any words of support as well that would be greatly appreciated¯\_(ツ)_/¯

O: before people used to get to see it a lot, I was very open on instagram. But now I’ve become a boring 31-year old apparently, so there hasn’t been much lately. I don’t enjoy putting it online as much anymore, but I still enjoy recording.

Q: who has meant the most to you during all your years playing football?

S: some coaches of course, but my grandparents are my biggest fans, I play for them a lot, they mean a lot to me and to my career.

O: my family, everyone probably says that. Mom and dad were always so supportive. Even if mom is in heaven now, my dad still encourage me a lot and watch games, and my grandmother too. And my sisters, my oldest sister is clueless about sport, but it’s amazing to have her support anyway, my other two sisters I can talk tactics with. I have good support behind me.
