After more and more cracks, the crystal prison shatters in a dark blast, finally freeing Shadow Kitsune. can I be cruel tonight. vietnam vet soda who admired his dad for being a soldier for years bc as kids we’re blind to the truth of war and sacrifice and all he knew growing up was that his dad had to go fight in the korean war like weeks after he was born and didn’t come home until soda was at least eighteen months old. darrel sr. never talked about the war, he acts like it didn’t happen, except he wore his dogtags under his shirt every day for the rest of his life after—and then soda wears them when his dad dies because it’s like keeping a part of his dad with him, something he was proud of his dad for.

and then soda gets his own, when he’s eighteen and they send him that letter condemning him to the same fate he realizes that there was a story behind that blank expression his dad would have some nights, stories similar to the ones sod’s has now and he feels sick to his stomach. but he also feels closer to his dad than ever. and now sometimes if darry and pony can’t find soda they go to the cemetary and soda will be sitting on the ground in front of their parents’ graves and his fingers will be tangled in the chain of his dogtags as he just stares into the middle distance, like their dad used to, once upon a time

Homare: … —And with that, my days of chasing deadlines have come to a close! (Now that I have been freed from the shackles of my deadlines, I would love to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea somewhere.)

Homare: (…Oh? That young man staring intently at that poster over there is—) Why, it is! Masumi-kun, what a coincidence it is to meet you here!

Masumi: It’s not a coincidence. I’m waiting for someone.

Homare: I see. You had an appointment?

Kasumi: —Masumi-kun, thank you for waiting~! Oh? Homare-kun is with you too?

Homare: Kasumi-san. In other words, the one Masumi-kun was waiting for was…

Masumi: Yeah. This person. We bumped into each other the other day when I was out shopping with Sakuya. Kasumi told me about the different Christmas events being held these days.

Update: Thank you to everyone who has helped me out and supported me in my struggles. I just wanted to say that I've reached my goal! So thank you all, so so much.

It's really hard for me to ask for help, I have bad experiences with it, so this is all very bewildering and amazing to me that things actually turned out when I did. Honestly, I can't thank you all enough 💖 Even those who could only send kind thoughts, it was genuinely comforting and I hope you all know how much I appreciate you.

Is anyone out there willing to do $10 for a commission? 😔 Because I've just found out that I'm going to be very short on bills this month, apparently...

So, long story short: I've very recently and very suddenly moved into a new place and it came at a lot of cost, both financially and personally for me, as the house I'm living in now previously belonged to my sister, before she passed away this September.

Funeral costs, moving costs, and everything on top of that aside, I have always struggled financially as a persons with disability.

But, I had thought I had finally evened that all out at last this month, unfortunately I was wrong. Some last minute bills sprang up on me and made one of my more expensive bills bounce - now it's got charge fees and is already up to $325 and I only have $65 in my account. So I'm a bit stressed right now 😭 to say the least...

Anyways. I'm absolutely willing to do a few coms on the cheap if that'll help pay the bills even a little bit 🙏 if anyone is willing to help me out, I'd be so thankful. Any little bit at the moment will be a step forward.
