drew some of my fav ody designs! wasnt originally meant to be also replicating the styles but thats sort of just how my brain works. except i didnt copy the lineart styles of anyone here so its DEFINITELY a bit uncanny for a couple of these (LOOKING AT YOU QINNY IM SO SORRY) but whatever

do yall ever think about bruce/batman!clone danny standing in front of his bathroom mirror after finding out he was a clone and silently tracing his face. The slope of his jaw and point of his chin. The high angle of his cheekbones and the shape of his eyes, the curve of his brow bones and the shape of his nose. The volume of his hair and the way it curls and gets fluffy when it gets too long.

His hair is black the same way a crow's wing is black. His dad's hair is black the same way a black bear's fur is black. His dad's eyes are blue like the ocean is blue. Danny's eyes are blue the same way a glacier is blue.

His dad has a square jaw and straight flat hair, and he tans and gets a face full of freckles when he's out in the sun for too long. Danny burns like a lobster and his face remains untouched. Danny has a sharp jaw and tall cheekbones, and Sam says when he's not smiling there's almost something regal about him. You would never call Jack Fenton "regal" when he's not smiling.

Sam says when he's not smiling he looks scary the same way a stone statue is. Jack Fenton when he's not smiling looks scary the same way that german shepherd staring at you across the street is.

Do you ever think he grew up wondering if he was adopted. Because of course, he has black hair and blue eyes like his dad. But having the same color doesn't make you someone's child.

Or, worse, things he's heard from the other kids and the other parents and even some of his teachers growing up; that he was the product of an affair. And that his dad was just too stupid to notice. And Danny would defend his parents until the day he died, because Jack Fenton wasn't an idiot and Maddie Fenton wasn't a cheater.

But doubt comes in with fickle tongue. his parents swear up and down that he is their child when he asks about either. That Danny just had his grandparents' features, but he was their son and they loved him.

But Danny doesn't look like either of his parents. His mom's eyes are blue like an aquamarine and Jazz's too. And they burn like lobsters in the sun too, but Jazz gets freckles on her face and so does Maddie. And as Danny grows up he doesn't bulk up or get stocky like his dad did, and when he hits puberty he doesn't shoot up like a tree like Jack Fenton did.

He stays small, and they say he's a late bloomer (and he is), or that he just has his mom's height. But he's fast and has good stamina, and some days it feels like he's built entirely different from his family. That the things they went through growing up just didn't apply to him. Jack and Maddie Fenton both had acne and breakouts when they hit puberty, and Jazz inherits it and he's seen the amount of skincare products she keeps on her side of the bathroom.

And then he hits puberty and breaks out maybe once or twice, but his skin stays clear for the most part and the problems and changes his dad went through just don't happen to him.

And the truth is worse than all of the lies.

How horrifying.

I was wondering, does Fiddleford still have a wife in your Halloween au? And if yes, does she know about him being a vampire?

I've been sitting on this ask for a bit, but I think I should finally answer.

In my AU, Fidds is actually pretty old-- not like ancient or anything, but surely a few centuries?

Anyway, so way back, when he was human, he did have a wife and a kid!! But when he got bit and became a vampire, he actually outlived them :(

He tries to think about them often, but it's definitely one of the things he chooses to erase when he creates the memory gun

love to think that desperate housewives was not only paper's entire introduction to romance but ALSO his introduction to gay people as a concept. he sees the relationship between andrew and justin and he's like omg?? that could be me and oj <- REALLY should not be anybody's relationship goals

they might have given him a slight misconception that homophobia is super common in their world and that paper and oj could never be public about their relationship or they'll be rejected by everyone </3 which has NO basis in reality cuz mephone didn't program any of the with the concept of homophobia. but paper shows oj their relationship and he's like this could be us oj. and oj is like yayy okay ^_^ and then they don't tell anyone about their relationship for like 10 years. paper still thinks justin and andrew shouldve been endgame (he's not biased he swears)

i know it would only be an unnecessary pain in the ass for him if i did but it does bother me not to respond like THANK YOU SO MUCH to my gp's messages to me through the healthcare online portal thing. he has a tendency to sit and answer messages and prescription refill requests late as hell in the evening because that's when he finally has the time and it feels so wrong to not reply even if it's entirely unnecessary and he neither expects nor wants that

my take on general caterpillar from alice by the mechanisms!!

this was actually super fun to draw. the design is loosely inspired by @/reegis (love their work btw go check them out)

To go along with your aura thoughts, I think it'd be cool if training with aura was ALSO unique to every person. Like maybe there's some blanket advice and ideas, but because aura is unique to everyone, ppl have different techniques and ideas, similar to how you might unlock your semblance :)

Like, for example, maybe someone who's religious would tie their religious beliefs into their aurawork

I have so many aura headcanons, it's very fun to play with

the moment they made aura a manifestation of one's soul is the moment the floodgates were opened for endless possibilities. like, it's your soul, how can it not be unique to everyone in every single aspect?

and yes, training absolutely included! for someone, meditating might be effective, while for someone else it gets them nowhere because that's just not the type of person they are.

it'd also be fun in a sense of like, the academies? with every student requiring personal guidance in terms of finding what works for them (and also what doesn't—maybe there could be some negative effects to trying to be someone you're really not?), rather than everyone following the same steps. sure, the basics would be the same for everyone and those would be taught during the first year of studies, but at some point it would switch up to more personalized study plan, etc.

and same lol, many many possibilities with aura. truly one of my favorite playgrounds :D

pretty new to the franchise (got into a rabbit hole through your posts, haha) so apologies if this is a bit ooc, but I feel like amy would try learning french bcoz of it’s rep as the romance language. i also feel like amy would mention wanting to learn the language offhandedly and shadow overhears and then makes it a mission to learn french to woo amy, lol. thoughts? (love your hcs and posts btw!)

Oh, you are absolutely right! Bonus points if she also learns it in the hopes of visiting France and seeing the Eiffel Tower because she’s heard how romantic it is. ❤️

That also gives me a fun idea. What if she’s lamenting that she’s having trouble learning French, and even though Shadow can’t actually speak it, he involuntarily blurts out that he can help anyway? He hurriedly starts learning it on his own, covertly scrambling through the lessons just before she can so he can help teach her. This continues for months. Eventually, he feels too guilty to hide it anymore, so he teleports her to Paris one night and admits to the ruse in front of the one place she’d always wanted to visit more than any other, confessing that the words had just tumbled out of his mouth before he could help it and he cared for her too much to stop. Naturally, she forgives him; as absurd as the situation was, she had to admit it was sweet, and she was already smitten with him by then. It was hard not to be when he’d spent so much time teaching her how to speak the language most associated with romance.

It’s not out of character at all. You’ve got her! 😊
