That is exactly something I've been wondering.

'Cause. Like if Whitebeard managed to hit Crocodile hard enough (=with Haki) to cut his whole hand off, then surely he would've done more damage than just leave a cut on Croc's face, right. Like his head should've ended up in two pieces. And I mean it's not impossible WB could be the cause of both wounds (like for example WB could've first just scratched Crocodile's face and then, when he was in shock, taken that left hand, or something, there's like a million ways this action scene could play out), it is entirely possible still. But it would ALSO be entirely plausible if Crocodile got his scar and lost his hand due to different people.

Also if Dragon is a former Marine then he could know the Rokushiki, and like I dunno about y'all but to me Crocodile's scar looks to me like it could've been caused by a Rankyaku to the face (or if Dragon is a Wind Wind Fruit user as many speculate, his attacks could very much be like wind-slashes similar to Rankyaku, any cutting attacks or even Croc's own Spada-attacks). Like the way his scar goes across his whole face, ear-to-ear, it looks like it could've been caused by a cut that hit him straight-on (but didn't cut through his whole head). As opposed to a cutting motion from a blade that'd go from like one side of the face to another (where I feel like it shouldn't go ear-to-ear, and instead, at most, like, ear-to-cheek, y'know? 'Cause the face would curve away from a blade etc? But also this is a manga and shit like this doesn't have to make sense, it just needs to look cool and be symbolic and shit)

(There is also the forbidden option that WB could've given Crocodile the scar and it was Dragon that took Crocodile's hand. And not in the romantic way 🥁)

In any case, if Dragon did attack Crocodile out of instinct because he couldn't recognize the strange, imposing man with a baby who showed up at the secret location at a secret meeting time when he was supposed to reunite with his wife and meet his child... Oh yeah. Dragon could've assumed the worst, thought that they had been found out, that his beloved had been taken out and baby kidnapped. Or something. And thus attacked. And boy howdy would this be one absolutely gut-wrenching way to cause a divorce, eh

((Only thing is that for Dragon to hurt Crocodile, either Dragon would've had to have gone in with the Haki right away, which is viabe but makes me question how Crocodile even survived to begin with, or the attack would've had to been moisturized ahead of time for some reason. Unless Dragon can add moisture to his attacks by default, or unless it was raining, it'd make no sense how Dragon could've cut Croc's face up. But hey we know Crocodile doesn't really like the rain, now does he))

i am in the silliest goofiest of all moods so i decided to take my top 3 ice creams of this summer and share with you which characters they remind me of the most. let me know if you think you are sillier and/or goofier by sending me your favourite ice cream

at number 3 we have Arpeggio as Haagen-Dazs Dulce de Leche, and specifically the mini tub that comes in a box of four flavours. despite the flavour's Latin American roots, i think Arpeggio would savour it because he likes to indulge in different cultures as a certified genius. kinda sophisticated like him, and just like his time in the game, short and sweet

number 2 is a cool remix of a childhood classic: blondie caramel Maxibon with the waffle. I've paired it with Rajan because the packaging is orange, duh but also because it has two different sides. the waffle is Rajan's regal facade, appealing to Westerners, whereas the ice cream bar side is rough and rocky just like the predator within

the Kinder Bueno ice cream is paired with Carmelita and takes the number one spot this summer. is this coupling based on personal bias? maybe! the flavours here are so nostalgic and reimagined into ice cream form perfectly. the cone and hardened chocolate on top form a tough exterior but inside the core is soft and rich, just like Carmelita herself. 10/10 masterpiece

okay, but putting aside the comedic aspect of this, it is concerning the amount of people who are prompted to vote for candidates just because it's funny. I'm not the biggest fan of how his policy about the boarder sounds [Site], but I do implore anyone who is able to vote in the 2024 US election to please research other candidates.

The media is only going to continue pushing the idea it's inevitably going to be Trump vs Biden 2.0 and we have no other options, that we have to vote for Biden again because of Project 2025. Is that whole thing terrifying?

But voting for Biden will not solidify our safety from that. Biden is exactly like the rest of them. He always has been. You can't make the lesser of two evils argument when they're both just plain evil.

Hello hi!!! Sorry it took me a bit to get your ask I’ve been a little busy, but I would love to babble hehehe :3

For the Isat Hollow Knight au thingy I’m still note sure if I want to still have the Isat party as. Well. A party, or if I wanna do it the way Hollow Knight does with with the NPCs and have them Isat characters just be other bugs you meet on your journey.

Still working on the designs of the other characters, but I’m had the idea of having Mirabelle be some sort of butterfly. Though, I’ve also had the idea of Mirabelle taking over Hornet’s role floating around too.

For Odile I’ve been thinking maybe she’s based either on a mantis or possibly a jellyfish type thingy, but I’m still not sure yet.

For Isabeau, I thought maybe he could be based on one of those really big, really annoying guard type bugs in the City of Tears. You know the ones. It fits pretty well considering his role as a defender in Isat.

I am. Still struggling with where to put Bonnie. Believe it or not, it’s kinda hard to fit a child into the world of Hollow Knight due to the. Uh. Horrors. Ya know?

Another idea I had was to have Euphrasie take the role of the White Lady. Don’t have much of an idea here yet.

Same with the King. I’ve thought about just having him be the Pale King soooooo. I dunno.

I’m still not sure what I’m going to do about the Dreamers, still working that out.

For Loop, I’ve thought about having them be THK but also the possibility of them being just a charm you have but can never remove and just kinda floats around like some of the other charms that give you babies and stuff.

As a multishipper and enjoyer of ruikasa, I am begging this fandom to stop forcing this mlm take down everyone's throats. I love the canon dynamic that tsukasa and rui have, which, I'm not sure if you've noticed, is explicitly platonic. It sucks that people are so fucking yaoi brained that these male characters who are close friends just *have* to be kissing for them to be interesting. No fuck you actually, there's plenty of potential for them without making it romantic. Please drop the notion that these characters exist to be shipped together.

It really bothers me seeing people genuinely say 'pandemonium was the ruikasa event'. Pandemonium is about rui enjoying an event with his FRIENDS that he wasn't expecting to enjoy so much. Rui then having a heart to heart with tsukasa and thanking tsukasa for helping him change is a sweet moment they share that shows how their bond has benefited them... how is 'thank you for helping me change' romantic? My closest friend has helped me change, and I've said that to her, and I didn't say it with the subtext of 'I'm in love with you', I just wanted to remind her that she's had a positive impact on my life. Why does this entire event have to be boiled down to the one scene that's apparently the epitome of yaoi? Rui doesn't exist to be in love with tsukasa. Rui exists to be a character who grows and changes, who struggles with his friendships and has a hardened view of the world because of his past, but also a view that the world can be a happier place if he tries to show that to people. Turning him into a machine that kisses tsukasa is a fucking disgusting way of treating the genuine development we've seen of him over the course of the game.

To make it about shipping again, I've also seen the take that it's gross to ship rui with female characters because 'he's so gay coded'. Buddy, my best friends would be 'gay coded' if they were fictional, and they're the straightest people on this earth. Coding is an implication that does not mean canon. Rui can make a gay joke and wear the gay earring and... What?! He can still like women?! My favourite rui ship is honarui, a shocking take by the standards of the fandom. Rui is exclusively a gay man, and honami can only be shipped with Leo need and kanade because she's so sapphic coded I guess. It irks me in a way I can't explain that things have to be so black and white that it's only acceptable to ship specific characters with the same gender and the same characters over and over. I'm tired of honakana, I'm tired of ruikasa, I want to explore this dynamic that I haven't gotten to see enough of in canon. And it's fun to explore that dynamic. Is it wrong to have fun when writing about characters I like? Because reading and writing the same shlock for ruikasa is fucking boring.

I don't know if this is structured well but my main point is: be fucking creative. Write a platonic ruikasa fic and don't make it romantic by the end. Don't interpret every single interaction between same sex characters as inherently romantic. Don't see coding as the be all and end all of canon. Explore something new. Have some fucking fun and stop shoving the same bullshit into the mainstream because people who enjoy these ships do get tired of it eventually
