i should have said something a long time ago but the things i have been seeing being written and said about my girlfriend are just not acceptable. seeing and hearing her cry almost everyday because people cannot be respectful breaks my heart. everyone knows I am very private with my life and with her, for this exact reason that’s been shown again and again. the night people decided to verbally attack her while we were out was completely disrespectful and i couldn’t believe what i was hearing. you all have no place to make comments, opinions or assumptions.

Here's five facts on SARAH.

Sarah's middle name is, indeed, Jolie, making her S.J. Wyler. James, her twin, is James Simon; J.S. Wyler. This was something their parents did on purpose to emphasise their twin-connection.

Sarah and Seth are my only couple so far who got together in-game as teens and lasted into young adulthood. Next New Year's Eve will mark their fifth year anniversary. Spoiler alert: That won't go by unnoticed. 🤫

Sarah can sometimes be seen as somewhat of a meddler. She likes to get involved in things going on with other people, a trait she inherited from her mother. However, for her mum, it's often a case of curiosity and thinking everything concerns her, which is not true for Sarah. Sarah just really wants to help others and can't idly stand by if she feels she could do something to make things better. It's just that sometimes you have to let others find their own path...

Sarah is a happy and confident girl who doesn't have a lot of worries, except one: James. She knows, feels, that he's not okay, but also knows that forcing her help on him will have the opposite effect. Particularly for #3 above, standing back is difficult for Sarah. Especially where James is concerned because their bond is strong.

Sarah is a great cook and a very creative one, too. She loves to try and create new recipes. Next to, one day, opening her own lunchroom, Sarah also hopes to write her own cookbook at some point in her life.

First up, we got a test sketcj of Abanny as Maleficent, and a spooky-wooky headshot. Abanny was almost entirely inspired by Angelina Jolie in the live action Maleficent movie, so I could think of NO better role for her to play in this AU than the one she was made for.

Nicole was supposed to be raised by Abanny as well as her two fathers in a sort of big joint adoption found family thing. But they couldn't really get past Abanny's whole Matriarchal forest demigod who eats people thing as something they wanted their daughter around. So they kind of...booted Abanny from the group chat, let's say. Abanny's fury at being banned from having a part in her daughter's life MIGHT'VE been understandable....until Abanny decided ''Fine if I can't be a part of her life then she can't be a part of anyone else's'' and doomed her daughter to a sinister prophecy out of anger. That's the fun thing about Abanny. I can imagine her doing horrible destructive stuff to Nicole out of spite and it's not even that out of character (Any Incredibles AU fans in the audience?)

Yeah HI if this one looks funky dunky it's because it isssss *checks dates* JUST about a year old now!! This was the first Sleeping Beauty AU sketch and it has seen everything (Fnaf reference) and then I just kept thinking about this concept and that's where the rest of this stuff came from. I MEANT to rewdraw this one but uhhhh .....*vague hand gestures* Emotional Issues.

LeFou's horse is named Pompeii btw!!!! She's been a character of mine for a while, but I haven't REALLY used her for much since about 2015. Figured she deserved to be re-homed for this AU. If she looks familiar it's because yes I came up with her after watching Frozen.

Poor girl doesn't get any development. She's just there. Survived. Is rly cool tho, trust me.

Stole bread and went to jail for 19 years. Villain origin story. Then he stole from a child (which may or may not have been Feuilly but that's another story for another post) and he instantly went good. Became mayor and businessman. One of his employees died so he found her daughter and raised her. Survived for a while. Is supposed to be the protagonist lol. Wholesome grandpa

Inspector Javert 'Jav jav man':

Is his life's goal to arrest Valjean. I say enemies to lovers trope. Starts off as a bitch, tbh.

Fantine:

My poor girl deserved the world. Her bf got her pregnant and fled :(. She gave Cosette over to some strangers to raise her while she worked in a nearby town, sending them money for Cosette's expenses. That's a no no there but ok. Gets fired, becomes a prostitute, dies. Keefe seeing her make cookies and Mallow melt and wondering why she would do something just for him. it breaks her heart when he apologizes for "imposing himself" and "putting her out" and her gently telling him she does it because he is a lovely person that deserves all the mallowmelt in the world

Fitz and Biana getting hugs and food when their dad was broken minded and their mom was trying to hold it together. so they try not to cry and edaline comes over to help cook and take care of them and their mother.

Tam doesn't trust her. he has no reason to believe she won't start with the harsh remarks and withering looks so he stays far away from Sophie's family. He doesn't realize that he has a place to go until he has to run from his parents one night, and he light leaps to where ever he can to get away from the noise. after ignoring his sister and Sophie's imparter calls, he sits down and sobs. after a while in the dark, he hears someone calling his name. He hesitantly calls out because he shouldn't have been so dumb and now his sister is out in the dark because of him and he was supposetokeephersafeheissostupidstupidstupid- and it's edaline that emerges from the dark and despite his previous snarls and attitude she takes him home with a gentleness he hasn't known before

it happens when Lihn is over at Sophie's house with Biana. her mom never let her have her hair out of a braid, so she lets it down (for the baby alicorns to chew on, or so they think). it's the middle of the night and she forgot to braid her hair before bed and it got tangled and her mom was right, she wasn't even smart enough to take care of herself she would have died on her own if Tam wasn't there stupid stupid stupid stupid- and suddenly shes sobbing in her friends bathroom with a hairbrush and water swirling in the air and she can't stop she's going to ruin everything around her she can't - and edaline knows when her kids are crying, so she takes the hairbrush and bushes her kids hair and tells her all about why she was still up, that darn t-rex right next to her window. and when she is done with a waterfall braid that shows off how long and shiny Lihn's hair has grown, she tells her how beautiful the water Lihn commands is.

and suddenly it's so many years ago, before the fires burned. edaline sits with her first of (many) children and Jolie is drawing little stick figures, two tall, a blond and red head, a medium blonde one, and many little small ones around them. A little voice says "can we go see Ms. Della and her baby again? he's really cute" and Edaline could never deny her baby of anything so of course she nods a yes.. but her little girl continues "Mommy can I have a sibling?" and edaline is caught by surprise. she thought her baby girl had everything, friends, family, too many animals to count. she looks at her daughter, and says "maybe one day. but you would have to share, and help them all the time. I didn't like your auntie for a long while until we were both grown up." she teases, but somehow the child is undeterred. "Someday, I'll be the best big sister, and you'll have be so proud of how much I've helped my little sister! just like you mama!" -and then it's now again, she is in her daughter's room. it's green and full of life. And Sophie follows the path Jolie laid for her, and she can hear Jolie again, just like the day she died. "Look Momma, I helped her just like I said I would! Aren't you proud?" and edaline can hear all of her children downstairs. she can't hear Jolie's laugh in Sophie, and Keefe doesn't smile exactly like she did. But Jolie lives on as they walk the path she did. it may terrify edaline, but her babies have a big sister looking out for them above, and a home and family to come back to.

so i made a character tierlist, i dont actually hate thenardier but its funny to hate him. for side characters: m mabeuf would be guy!!!, fauchlevent would be eh (although the graveyard scene was funny), and marius's relations would all be in eh/mildly annoying because i have no strong feelings about them.

The Main Leads

Wukong couldn't just blow on blood to get rid of it in the original but it's not out of character for him or the novel to pull a bullshit power out of nowhere so I’m cool with it. He can also magically control traffic now, which I accept as canon

I don't like Samjang that much. I feel like they haven't quite struck the balance between headstrong and put together with bewildered and scared of the magical realm. I mean the latter is really accurate to Sanzang in the book but Sanzang in the book is horrible so

Is it the actress? I really don't vibe with the character of Samjang but looking at it again I feel like the script are totally fine. I think it might actually just be a miscast actress, or odd direction

Ehh, the double tsundere thing isn't really working as well as it did in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, the other K-drama I half-watched

Honestly I wish they went the A Chinese Odyssey route and used White Bone Demon or Original Character Do Not Steal for Wukong's love interest because a version of Sanzang is too obvious of a choice for me and also this one’s kinda boring

Guanyin would totally have a version of the headband that inflicts emotional pain ahah. Making someone fall in love with you by using a device (like a love potion or gadget) is a trope I find egh but it's a little less awful here since Samjang didn't know it would do that and Wukong still has some free will

Mikasa, I feel bad for her, but at the same time idc because Eren is mine so sorry 😗 but fr her back story is so sad and what happened with Eren was just so unfortunate because he had no idea how much deeper his love for her went, but the way she acted was out of line especially if he rejected her kindly many times, if the rolls were reversed she would’ve filed a restraining order.

2. PIECK AND PORCO, my otp, I hope they’re end game because they deserve to be together. When porco was about to accept her feelings and then we knocked at the door I literally let out the quietest squeal of “NOOO” because their moment got ruined😭 I was like BITCH COULDNT YOU CRY AT THE DOOR A BIT LONGER???

3. Also BIG BROTHER PORCO, my bestie, I love him so much. The way he’s so respectful and comforting makes my heart warm. Him and pieck are probably my comfort characters in this fic.

4. I’m so happy Eren and Armin were able to talk things out. I love seeing them as friends, they can both understand each so well and I feel they both need each other as genuine friends since they don’t have anyone else besides yn.I know you keep saying he’ll get his happy ending with her, but considering how long she’s been in love with Eren I feel like nothing will ever compare, and that’s kinda sad to think about. She’s perfect for Armin but at the same time that one thing makes me feel like he deserves better, someone that will truly love him with everything they have.

5. ARMIN, everything about Armin, him being a supportive friend despite them sharing love for the same person, being honest about what he did wrong, and understanding about the fact that her and Eren are lovers in a way he couldn’t be. It’s just so sweet that he believes in their love so much, that Eren is truly the one for her. Okay I think I’m done with the chapter 15 review.

ALSO I KEEP SAYING THIS BUT THE WAY YOU WRITE LOVE SEGGS IS MY FAVOURITE THING (I’m referring to porco and pieck in this chapter, the way they seemed so satisfied in the moment with each other was *chefs kiss*)

YES EXACTLY!!! if the roles were reversed, she would've definitely filed a restraining order. she's not really the villain of the story--i'm trying to make my readers understand that her obsession didn't just come from "oh eren is so hot i wanna have his babies" but she actually had her reasons for it, that's why i wrote that background story so people can see just how desperate she was to find someone who cared about her. her mistake was that she was too naive, thinking that just because they went through the same shit, they understood each other in a way no one could ever do. but what she did was still out of line ofc, very much so, and that's why eren was so frustrated that he became so aggressive toward her.

hey i'm an eremin shipper from day one so ofc i would write my boys acting supportive toward each other in this fic lol. i really enjoyed writing all their scenes together, it felt refreshing and i just adore their relationship. armin might be shy but he's more dominant in this relationship in terms of being friendly. in my head, eren is still a bit awkward around him. he thinks of him as a friend, but the only real close friend he has is y/n, that's why he doesn't really know how to act around him. so when armin showed him a glimpse of his aggressive side, eren was surprised but he also felt so happy because he thought he understood armin a little bit better now (similar to how eren felt about historia in the beginning of season 3)

ARMIN IS THE SWEETEST OMG I LOVE HIM SO MUCH IN THIS STORY. you know, at first, i wanted to add a scene where armin actually punched him to knock some sense back into him but then i changed my mind because it reminded me of chapter 139 and i don't want the last song to be anything like chapter 139 💀

oh and about the love seggs thing... well it's always a LOT more beautiful in words or fiction lol but whenever i'm with my husband, i do feel that way. like i could still feel the butterflies in my stomach when he kissed my forehead or when he whispered i love you during sex (this is SO TMI i'm so sorry if this grosses you out i'm BLUSHING), and that's what i'm trying to make my readers feel in the story so THANK YOU for saying that! i just zutara. i love their whole enemies to friends to lovers thing. someone said that people like the enemies to friends to lovers trope bc they love the thought of people seeing the worst of them and still choosing to love them, and that’s so true, and that’s just...also something i want for zuko and katara. they’ve seen the worst of each other, they’ve fought each other, and still—they get each other in a way no one else does and that means so much to me. their love for each other is the unconditional kind of love and i just...i love that for them. i really do. they deserve that, after all they’ve been through together.

and as someone who heavily relates to zuko in terms of his awkwardness and his terrible at socializing and how he apologizes for his uncle iroh talking about him a lot (when he and toph are talking in the eip episode) (and when i day i relate to him w this—i mean i apologize, a lot, all the time, for no reason) and stuff like that, it means a lot to see this abused teen get in a relationship where he doesn’t have to worry about them seeing the worst of him and just...leaving.

because katara has already seen the worst of him, and still accepts him, still wants to be with him. i can imagine that, in itself, would mean a lot to zuko.

and also, as someone who has said and done thing she regrets, especially as a brown girl, to have katara be loved unconditionally means a lot, as well. i was raised in a household where the woman has to do...pretty much everything for the man, and to see katara not have to care for zuko as much as the rest of the gaang, and to see zuko value and see katara as his equal, and to see katara be cared for by zuko (“you should get some rest” & “i don’t want her to hurt you”) that just...also means. so much. it means a lot, to see that. if i saw that when i was younger, i think it would’ve influenced me so damn much

I made a post a while ago about some of my favourite wlw movies, and I though I’d continue this list by sharing some more of my favourite movies, both wlw and mlm. 

The Way He Looks (2014)

This Brazilian movie is about a blind teenager who is trying to find his independence and falls for the new guy at school. This movie is so good and heartwarming and it gives us some much needed disabled lgbtq+ representation.

The Handmaiden (2016)

The whole stereotype that we can’t get a movie that’s 1, good 2, gay and 3, that has a happy ending was destroyed latest with this movie. This movie is beautiful, deep and genious and i won’t even try to explain its plot because i wouldn’t do it justice. A TW for physical, emotional and sexual abuse though.

Maurice (1987)

Maurice is one of my favourite movies of all time. It’s set in 1910s Cambridge and tells the stories of two university “friends”. Young Hugh Grant is so incredibly beautiful in this movie that I’m second guessing my sexuality. This movie was directed by James Ivory who also wrote the screenplay for the movie. James Ivory also wrote the screenplay for Call Me by Your Name 30 years later and this movie really is the Call Me by Your Name of the 80s. 

Call Me by Your Name (2017)

Is Maurice the Call Me by Your Name of the 80s, or Call Me by Your Name the Maurice of the 2010s? Anyways, if you’ve somehow managed to avoid this movie, now it’s about time to watch it. I think this movie actually lives up to the hype and even if you wouldn’t care about the plot at all, it’s so so beautiful to watch.

A Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)

Speaking of beautiful movies, this is probably the most beautiful movie there is. A painter is hired to paint a picture of a woman so that the painting can be sent to a possible husband and plot twist they fall in love. This movie is all about looks and looking and about being seen. This movie will make you want to listen to classical music and move to a remote island. 

Gia (1998)

Gia is a biographical movie about one of the first supermodels Gia Marie Carangi. The movie is about her rise to stardom, her struggles with addiction and loneliness and her relationships with the people around her, most notably with her on-off girlfriend Sandy. Angelina Jolie makes one of the greatest performances of her career and this movie has an ending that will follow you for weeks. Also, Mila Kunis plays young Gia.

Pride (2014)

Pride tells the true story of a group of lesbians and gays coming together to help miners during the 1984 miners strike in the UK and forming the Lesbians & Gays Supports the Miners movement. That this is a true story is absolutely mind blowing and a testament of how two very different groups of people can come together to help each other. This movie is both extremely funny and moving as hell. 

Carol (2015)

This movie is already a wlw classic and if you didn’t love Cate Blanchett already, you will after this. Controversial opinion though, I didn’t fully understand the hype around this movie when it first came out, but it’s growing on me more and more and I do see where all the Carol fanatics are coming from.

Show me love (1998)

This Swedish movie tells the story of two teenagers, their self-discovery and relationship, and the struggles that come with being a queer teenager in the 90s. I remember watching this movie at school in Swedish class when I was 13 and honestly I don’t even remember if the actual movie was that good, but I remember how it changed my life and that’s why it deserves its place on this list.

Handsome Devil (2016)

Handsome Devil is an Irish comedy-drama and the perfect movie if you just need something nice to watch. The movie is set in an Irish all boys boarding school and tells the story of the ostracised too cool for school but then again not cool student Ned and his friendship with the school’s new star rugby player. This movie shows queer friendships and identities so well, and we get mlm room mates and a mlm teacher, and none of these people end up together. Wlw movies could never. Oh and Andrew Scott plays the teacher.

The Six Triple Eight - December 20 Based on the the only all-black all-female unit in the World War I 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the film captures the barriers, struggles, and obstacles faced by them. It offers eye-opening details about how women, especially of a race considered inferior in the past, overcame their personal battles and completed their risky mission.
