People are doom posting about Deyha and as a veteran Genshin player (AR 60, been playing since version 1.2, so I guess I qualify as that) I’d like to take this opportunity to remind this fandom of a couple things.

Y’all remember when Kokomi was released? People were throwing a fit over the crit rate thing and she was considered the worst character in the game. One update later, the Ocean Hued Clam artifact set was released and suddenly she became one of the best characters in the game. Shinobu was also considered one of the worst in the game when she was released. Her scaling was awkward and she was hard to place in any team comps. Then Dendro was released and what do you know- turns out her skills time out perfectly with dendro and elemental mastery gets a buff. Heck, dendro buffed electro in general and made pretty much all of them a lot more viable. The meta changes all the time, don’t worry about it.

Speaking of the meta, it’s made up. Any character is viable if you put the work in. Sure, it’s going to be a lot harder to build a dps Gorou and he’ll still probably do less damage than Itto, but if you’re having fun and still clearing the spiral abyss, who really gives a shit? A lot of it also has to do with dumb luck and how much money you’re spending. Like, my C0 Ganyu does a lot more damage than my C0 Ayaka even though Ayaka has higher base stats just because I got better artifacts for Ganyu. There’s also plenty of characters who’s damage is locked behind constellations and weapons, and that’s just straight up not going to be an option for a lot of players. Sure, you’re C6 Wanderer may do a ton of damage, but I don’t have him at C6. I do however have Heizou at C6 and he’s doing a lot more damage than my Scara. (Shout out to the mad lads soloing with Amber)

Lastly, mind you’re own damn business about what characters other people are playing. It’s not your game, you don’t get to dictate how other people play it (and you especially aren’t allowed to harass people over who they play)

Some years ago I read some Teen Wolf fanfic with a tag 'Stiles see ghosts', and fell in love with the idea

So my brain came up with their own fic of that tag, with them older and post-canon, but there was a problem:

I couldn't just write post-canon, because if Stiles saw ghosts during all of it, a lot of small things would change, and I hate the "Let's make a werewolf series where the pack is the most important thing then kill half of it" so I refuse to write that.

And that's how I ended up writing a fix-it fic from the beginning, where I tried to change only the minor things and keep the plot, but now have 70k words by the end of season two, where plot of the beginning of season three had already fallen apart, and half of some of the others seasons too... like I just fixed one thing and then one entire season disappeared like, it is that easy???

there needs to be a study on why bob's burgers fans are so obsessed with writing about the belcher kids dying of a horrific illness or accident and in so much detail. like to an extent I understand wanting to explore darker themes with these characters but there's SO MUCH of it omg I have never been in a fandom this obsessed with angst before

first day of nano i managed a little over 2k for blood choke aaand. 500 for tnp 💀

i worked yesterday and didn't get any writing done but i'm going to play catch up today. i have a lot of time off this week cus i finally have my first two dental procedures (cries) but i'm hoping to be productive 👍 remember if you're doing nano not to push yourself or be too hard on yourself if you miss wordcounts. 1k+ everyday is a lot of words and everyone writes at their own pace :-)

I’m begging you, please go take one of those typing speed tests and get back to us. To get down 2k in 15 minutes you’d have to be able to type around 133 wpm. And then you do that while also having a coherent story? I can get down about 2k in an hour if the words are really flowing, and my typing speed is already 90-100 wpm when I’m pushing myself, but I have to stop and think about where my story is going, interactions, etc. Fo you even like stop and think, or does the Muse seize you and you just go?

theyre so stressful D: i got 61 on a 1 min test i found online. I only clocked that 2k during a NaNo sprint where a prize was at stake so i consider it an outlier XD

my mother was a very strict typist. i still dont type "properly" bc small hands/ambidextrous means i keep my hands positioned differently on the keyboard. have you heard of that alternate keyboard format thats supposed to increase wpm?? instead of qwerty its like durty or something??

i do not think just write XD my brain makes moving pictures and then i put those pictures on paper (or try to). i dont go back and edit until im cleaning up after i already have the ideas down. that includes moving stuff around or thinking things out to the next step.

best advice i heard which i live by is think of the next step, not the next gap and i write that way too. i just word vomit and sometimes it turns out okay.

personally i do think my quality suffers as compared to other lovely writers such as yourself but comparison is the thief of joy so i try not to do that.

In other news, while I was on holiday castling the king passed 50k hits and is nearly at 1000 subscriptions…which is utterly insane. Writing has never been about the stats for me but seeing those milestones is just so humbling, thanks to anyone who has given this fic a chance!! 🥹 I’m so excited to get back to writing it as we gear up for the endgame of the story.

A year ago I hadn’t even posted the first chapter and I was just getting deep into fleshing out the possibility of writing a Robb lives AU (even though it was something I toyed with since I started writing) and now it’s turned into this huge project that I love with my whole heart.
