the basic idea is them getting a hold of orby and just going nuts with the power, their main goal isn't to stop the player from deleting the data though, it is to remove your player privilages entirely and somehow make themselves their own person (or npc thecnically). they want you down and away, and they will try to achive this by Any. Means. Necesary.

theres a lot of inspiration from Aware Cashier if you haven't noticed, but those similarities only extend to the general aesthetic and some of their reasonings and feelings, their ways of dealing with stuff and stoping the player from doing what they don't want them to do are very, very different. instead of just trying to stop you like Aware was going to do, Sentient is just activly changing, deleting and ruining the alredy fucked up code of the game in hopes of deleting you, or your ability to control them

Boss fight talk bc i'm actually excited to talk about that! Sentient Player's boss would actually be an actual boss fight, like, actual fighting. i know i know, seems a bit out of character for the game in question, but i don't care :3. some of their attacks would consist of them summoning or deleting stuff, others is them summoning pitch black versions of themselves (seen in picture) to deal with you for them, bad thing though, if you hit them it actually hurts Sentient too! they can only summon two at the time

if you lose their boss fight you get the bad ending, where they try to remake the game from scratch but fail miserably, leaving it even more unfinished looking than before, lacking npcs and endings. they just kind of follow you around in this state, realising they are unable to do anything about your existence which made thier whole fight an useless endavor that made more harm than good

if you win though dummy and the others manage to get orby back, after apologising (and perhaps a lot of begging to be spared from being just The Player again) they make one of the dark clones be The Player. they just hang around the store from then on, if you talk to them you will be hit with the "..." lol

OKAY SO the document has some incredibly embarrassing notes and ideas + its linked to my email with my full name so i'm not gonna share a link to it BUT here are some screenshots from it + pictures and stuff

re-reading some of these, i have no idea what the fuck i was talking about

i have no idea when these photos are from but they are sooooo tbhc the frontman #To Me

i liked the idea of the frontman coming with his band to the moon and being the in-house lounge band, (hence part one being "lounge singer shimmer") and playing there for a while. the part in star treatment about being a little too wild in the 70s, i think, could be imagined as the frontman is now a little past his peak - or at least, this is how the public/audience sees him. which i say because i think that a lot what builds up the character is the perception of how they are viewed by the people who consume the product, in this case, the art and the singer. i was reading annotations of tbhc songs on genius.com and i found this one for the lyric "maybe i was a little too wild in the 70s" that i wanted to use a bit as a background for the character: Alex Turner himself could never have been too wild in the 1970s; he was born in 1986. As such, here he is most likely playing the role of an aging rock star whose career peaked in the 70s and is now forced to get by as the resident singer at the futuristic Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino on the moon. This narrator crops up a number times across the record and is used to draw parallels between his form of isolation and that of Turner.

i didn't want to see it as "forced" to take the job as the lounge singer, but instead as a way to seperate from earth, and who the singer was in the 70s - too wild. to be able to become a more refined artist (for lack of a better word). it might've been a post from you, or from a mutual or something, that talked about how alex turner will sing about the melacholia of achiving your dreams and the sadness that can come with that. i can't find the post but i do think this idea is very interesting, and can lend into the characterization of the frontman, and what drives his emotions. genius says this about star treatment: Turner personifies a washed up lead of the fictional band The Martini Police, and crafts a rich metaphor for how idolized celebrities are never seen except from a distance, similar to the light of a star. i think that the frontman should feel very disconnected to the people around him, less so to his band, but especially the guests at the hotel. just like how the monkeys went from am to tbhc, i wanted to add that a bit to the plot. the frontman, now sliding away from the 70s persona he had, wants to branch out and try something new. but sex sells! even though he no longer wants to be that guy, or play that role, he still wants to make something people will love. so its a bit about deciding to just do your own thing and create the art that you want to create without the worry of what the consumers will think. art, not a product.

i also wanted to play a bit into the idea of double lives, and personas and playing character, although i haven't quite worked that out yet fully. that's why i called part seven i think it was??? "i suppose a singer must die." i also considered using "what a death i died."

i think also themes from the car can also be pulled into this, because i think, more than any other two am albums, the car and tbhc are a little connected. with mr schwartz and how he, the actor mr schwartz, is connected very much to the people working on the set, who help him get into character. big ideas with coming up with something new and being excited about it. "your horrible new sound" lyric in sculptures of anything goes. the lyric about keeping on the costume to use as a writing tool in body paint. themes of being a performer rather than being a lover and being in love. but idk man, maybe this makes no sense at all. but the car and tbhc are sister albums To Me because they are my two favourite am albums and they will always be loved by me. ALSO pretty visitors and the look into fame at such a young age. also the dream synopsis and the bourne identity by tlsp.

i also thought a bit about how the hotel might look. the taquería - "the information action ratio", a lounge, obviously, where they will perform, a pool, a spa, all that stuff. so its most like a resort than a hotel. and i thought the line "everybody's on a barge /floating down the endless stream of great tv" and the idea of giving the hotel a little movie theater called "the barge" as a little nod to the lyric. visually, 2001: a space odyssey is, of course, a huge inspiration in terms of looks. i don't know if you've seen 2001 but there's this spot on a space station where its all very white and blank except for massive, bright red chairs. i like the idea of decor like that, maybe even a spot just like that, to pay homage to the film. i think also "retro realism" is a good jumping point. how people from 50 years ago imagined what the future would be like. blade runner, that sort of thing.

Sergio went to RBR with a clear mission and he was ready to fulfill it no matter what - and he did, they managed to get WDC for Max, they managed to reach WCC for the team and he got podiums for himself, wins on the best track etc. And he did it all that alongside Max and I think he knows that being the teammate of the best pushed him to achive the results.

"The way the grass smells at night/And you've got flames all in your eyes/As they reflect the sparkler" Max was really passionate about racing and all he does and I think Sergio likes him for it, likes the way Max is willing to fight no matter what and does so with determination. I doubt it's possible to not get excited about what's coming with such a person beside you and I know for a fact Checo always believed in Max and his skills. "And you say we'll never die/Grab me by the hands/Just as callused as I am/Say you're proud" The way Max was defending Checo in front of the media must've meant something to Sergio, like, Max could easily say it's not his problem or stay silent but he said multiple times it's the car (just as Sergio has been saying) and he never said a bad word about him. He also called him his best teammate and that is just the highest praise you can get from a WDC I suppose. The car is shit, but they are in the mess together and it must feel nice for Sergio to have a teammate who cares (since his last one was Kamui).

Sergio must be tired from all the bs RBR did to him, to the car, with all the nonsense Helmut and Horner say and the hate and so on and on but he said he is happy where he is - and in my head Max is one of the reasons why he thinks so. Checo always loved all his teams a bit too much to be healthy and RBR is using that against him but this time Max is on his side and they do have a good time together, even if people say it's PR, I think they are teribble actors and they wouldn't be able to pretend for this long (sorry guys). So even if the season and everything about it is messy and awful at least they can have small moments of fun - so yeah, Sergio is staying in RBR because Max said he wants him there and because he got attached to the blonde chatterbox, no matter how the team treats him.

Max is getting back on track with the car and Sergio is still being the focus of all the negativity and I guess seeing him on podium would be a small consolation for all the pain but at least one of them is happy (or at least less miserable). And hey, now Max won't lose his WDC and Sergio won't get blamed for that too so it's good, right? I think Max saying positive things about him is a small bust of confidence. RBR might make him feel like an worthless person but at least his teammate doesn't think so.

holding your hand so gently rn as i type this, ily thanks for the ask!! i'm going to try and give the shortest (failed a bit, sorry) backstory lore dump here about what was going on between them and Vio's bestie before the game events since i never spoke of it

Violante is actually born and raised in waterdeep, she meets Gortash by pure chance during some big fancy event in baldur's gate where she's (forced) to attend by her mother. Ruven who's her drow bestie 4 life and death is there as well and the circumstances of their first meeting with Gortash is actually funny. He shows up fashionably late at the party, spots these two almost tearing each other throat out in a quarrel and decided to jump in just to make fun of them and how 'they truly let anyone in these days' (Vio is a fallen noble, Ruven a bastard of big house devir, they hold almost zero importance in the big picture of nobility and their power) but at the same time he has the balls to ask Vio on the first dance of the night, he does it to anger Ruven really and Vio accepts just to make Ruven's blood boil a lil bit. tear the drow apart girlies

they should've been just the amusement of the night, a stunt for fun, but Gortash ends up meeting them a few more times during Vio's stay in baldur's gate. thing is, they don't actually hold any importance to his eyes nor any plan, they are nobles he can't get anything from, yet he notices something about the dynamic between them (toxic, codependent, ready to hurt one another as a form of love, Vio follows Ruven like a lost puppy but still is the one to have him on a leash under her power) and he decides he finds them..entertaining and who cares after all? they aren't even baldurians so he could fuck around and hopefully not find out without any big repercussion since they would be gone for waterdeep sooner than later. Gortash rather cunningly enters the dynamic, he plays with the clear possessive obsession that Vio & Ruven have. Violante is indeed the weak spot so his attack is lead through her, Ruven is a great manipulator and just as cunning so he has this subtle hate for Gortash as he has it for Ruven (they hatefuck, thank u) while Vio just wants to see her drow bestie suffer and it's clear that she can achieve that if Gortash is involved BUT Ruven can't let her see he's actually bothered by her interest in Gortash or he'd let her win. Basically you have these three idiots using each other and fucking nasty while they are at it.

something none of them foresee is that they end up enjoying each other presence far more than what was planned, Violante in particular (since she basically lived closed in her manor most of her life bc of a very toxic mother) finds the new company a breath of fresh air and Gortash does enjoy having a quite stimulating conversationalist in Violante. But everything was going to end anyway, right? a short lived fling they all had fun with. Vio and Ruven go back to waterdeep and Gortash simply keeps living his life.

a few years later tho Violante and Gortash meet again in baldur's gate, this happens right after Vio killed Ruven (ops) and the shock of it all plus the power she achived by becoming a warlock, makes her flee waterdeep. she won't admit it but she actually wanted to meet Gortash, that's why she went to baldur's gate, in her mind he's what little connection she has left with her dead bestie. She tells him Ruven his dead and nothing more, Gortash is way too clever to not realise she's the one that killed him but he says nothing, he finds the event interesting..and maybe beneficial for his future plans (sick and twisted woman to use as a pawn but also..an unsettling feeling of.. happiness.. to have met her again). but this doesn't last as well, a few days later after she found some ahem ahem comfort in Gortash, she leaves without saying a word. they meet again during canon game events and i'm pretty sure i'm making her side with him but for that..i'm still planning and thinking hehe and truly i've talked WAY TOO MUCH NOW

Ok so i'm trying to think of positives for this update.

I like Ramses, but then immediatelly i am reminded of the pathetic shock value Arenanet attempted at.

Third he asks us to go see something he senses... ok... it ends up being a civilian kryptis who was so insignificant all i remember is that it had Gorrik's voice. So i'll just refer to it as Gorriptid.

So we LITERALLY have like 2 sentences with Gorriptid, he gets to camp, we continue with mission to kill pathetic excuse of a patch-end-boss. I think you mentioned in a post yesterday that you're always open to receiving questions about your fics, so today I have a question about See You Soon.

You probably don't plan to write a sequel, but do you have any headcanons about what happens to bakudeku after they get married? (Is it even a headcanon if it's coming from the author?)

I just think their story is interesting and their dynamic so cute and want to know more about them as well as your writing process! And if you have no headcanons, what was your favorite part about writing this specific fic?

Oh what a FANTASTIC question!! Thank you so much for asking!!!! Okay this got a little long. A summary and ramblings of SYS's possible sequel under the cut!!!

Alright so: See You Soon. I have definitely toyed with the idea of writing a sequel, actually. I still might do it, but I have so many other upcoming fics and oneshots that I don't mind spoiling it, because if a SYS sequel does happen, it is a loooong way off. (Also, it would focus more on smut than on the plot which I outline here. So! Spoilers are fine!)

Anyway, the wedding is very happy. Katsuki has another mini-meltdown on the alter, because he is out-of-his-mind happy that he gets to marry Izuku. Izuku cries too, obviously. Almost immediately after the ceremony, they sneak off into a coat closet. Mistuki eventually yanks them out and makes them attend their own party.

At the reception, there is a little bit of drama. I won't get into everything here, but let's just say that bkdk foil a certain plan of Dabi's, and Izuku is immediatley able to prove his loyalty to Katsuki, the Bakugou clan, and also help Shouto out. (This actually almost made it into the main fic, but it was already so long lol.)

Party continues on, and Mitsuki eventually kicks Izuku and Katsuki out of their own party because they're having a hard time keeping their hands off of each other.

Then after that... bkdk take over the Bakugou family! It genuinely goes well. Katsuki is the hard, outwardly cold boss, and Izuku is his perfect foil. Diplomatic and outwardly-soft and kind. Of course, everyone who is anyone knows that Katsuki is also incredibly soft, and Izuku is also incredibly badass. But their fronts and reputations work well.

Sero and Shouto get married. Yay! There is a foiled assassination attempt once or twice, as Dabi + the league desperately try to keep it from happeneing. Maybe Katsuki and Izuku play bodyguards to their respective friends lol. But things go well, seroki get married, and the ties between the Bakugou clan and Shouto's faction of the Todoroki clan become incredibly strong. Shouto takes over the entire group, with Sero as his husband. The league lose power more and more, eventually disbanding.

Bkdk and seroki achive an awesome balance in the city, and the city is far better off for it.

As for Bkdk's relationship... I think it is everything Katsuki hopes for in SYS and more. The more he gets to know Izuku the more he loves him. They are ruthless crime bosses, but they also have weekend superhero movie marathons. They nerd out over rare All Might merch, but fight and strategize with amazing synchonity.

I guess, to summarize, bkdk do face challenges after they get married. But they overcome them, and really do live happily after. They definitely never stop being in love, that's for sure.

My favorite part about writing this fic was writing Katsuki's panic post-library scene. Because I knew that at the same moment Katsuki was panicking, Izuku was at the Todoroki compound, pleased as fucking punch. He was probably laying on his bed writing "Bakugou Izuku" in hearts over and over again in his notebooks while sighing happily to himself. Izuku was SO smug about getting to meet and make out with his fiance before the wedding, you have no idea.

I also really liked writing Katsuki sneaking up on Izuku before the wedding lol. He was just so happy! I love it when Katsuki is happy. XD

Honestly though, my favorite thing about this fic isn't any one part. When I received the initial prompts (mafia and/or arranged marriage) I was stumped! I thought I was gonna write something angsty. I didn't though. It ended up writing something so silly, but sexy and fun too, and I'm really proud of that. Even the angstiest of prompts turn sweet and lovey-dovey when my boys are involved, I guess. XD

spoons represent "sustenance and support", also the whole phrase 'silver spoon' meaning a person who never wants for anything. Shay is arguably the literal meaning of silver spoon, he's taken care of 100%, every single need of his is fulfilled to a degree where it becomes unhealthy. To the point where it starts to transfer to the meaning of the 'spoon theory', literally meaning a chronic illness. Not to mention that in Christianity, a spoon is represenative of a "hollow vessel"

knives represent "severence, death, sacrifice, division, or liberation. In Buddhism, cutting with a knife represents deliverance, as in cutting the bonds of ignorance. In Christianity, it represents martyrdom". Which is literally what Vella represents. Vella is the one who literally does away with her culture's ignorance, and while she's not willing to sacrafice herself to the mog, she is willing to almost die like a hundred times to rid her people of the mog.

i just. the fact that something so small holds so much meaning, beyond just the fact that haha it's funny that shay has a spoon and vella has a knife, and haha it works in puzzles. like, their chosen 'weapons' represent the literal things they're trying to achive in their personal stories.

Also, the reason neither of them pick up a fork? The fork only appears once in the story. In the credits. Holding a child of a fork and spoon. A fork is representative of "a deciding moment in life or history when a choice between presented options is required, and, once made, the choice cannot be reversed". Aka: it literally doesn't exist until Vella and Shay make their final choices, until the plot has turned their world to a point where they can never return to their previous lives. And it appears holding a child of the spoon: a spork. Literally the choice that Vella & Shay made has lead to the next generation being able to support and sustain themselves; no longer fearing the mogs.

It's past midnight here which means i am officially 18🎉🎉🎉

It's wild to think about how far I've come and honestly i got very,, emotional during the last minutes of 11PM like what the fuck,, those were my last minutes as a minor, ever. And i know shit doesn't just do a 180 flip the second the 26th rools around but it's still a big deal to me? Like these last few years of started thinking a lot more about time and how important simple simple stuff like dates like these or just spending a good time with your family or friends really are.

And this was such a crazy year too, the vision i had of what I'd be doing and what actually happened were completely different. Never would i thought that i would actually be able to pass the ENEM exam first try and get into a college, i legitimately though I'd have to study for it "for real this time" the whole year to even have a chance, nor did i thought first year of college would go so well.

This was also the year i reconnected with my family more, which is something I've been wanting to achive ever since i started to notice how much i begun isolating myself in my own room, I'm so happy I've been talking more with my parents and brother. And being more open about my problems with them made it so that i finally started working on my mental health, i started taking meds for my paranoia, fixed my sleeping skedule and overall i feel way way better than i did back in April and May which were the worst months for me regarding this subject.

So yeah, wow, 18. I don't know how to end this since it's really just me rambling about my feelings cuz i don't feel like sleeping at all, so yeah, thanks to whoever took their time to read all this and to all the mutuals and friends who've been with me all this time :]

I tried repressing that I was trans, that didnt work. suprise. Depression. I accepted that I was trans and i told some friends and got a new name and went to the doctor. I got into the system. Things where going forward. i tried that. And then i was told that to get hrt in this backwards country I have to go to shrinks and doctors for assessment if I really am trans for over a year and THEN maybe then. I get hrt. And for that entire time I had to live like a girl. Lets think about how insane that is. Like there is no way I would pass I would be instant outed for the whole world. People would look at me as a freak. I was not strong enough to do that. Every day after I think about it. Every day. And cant do it. So i go on. Losing bits of myself. Become more and more like a ghost. I try just existing. Not repressing anymore but existing. Go to work. Be with friends. Some days are fine. Some days I am happy two days in a row. I have fun doing watching tv. Playing videogames. Go to cinema. Hanging with friends. I walk an hour like everyday most days for fun. What can i say I like walking. I like to drink. So much good alcohol out there. Last christmas I had my first edible. Fucking hell that was good. Glad i lived long enough for that. Also I actully like my job. Nightshifts rules. And well. Between me, and whoever is reading this. While I do want to return to research, and while I'd like the idea of it. There's something still preventing me from doing it.

Maybe it's because I used it as a distraction, so it's no longer my coping mechainsm. Maybe it's because I picked up more trauma while doing research. Maybe that's all just excuses and I'm just lazy.

I will say one thing, though. I was re-reading my little movie review about John's movie, The Pride of Jesse Hallum. I wrote: "It's a great movie, though, I probably have a biased opinion because I more or less think everything, John, Carl, Roy, and Jerry Lee do is great." Alibet, I had exceptions, but I sorta wish I still had the same enthusiam that I had back then.

Whatever love I had for them has definitely changed, from one of rose-tinted glasses to cynicism.

It's hard to write about people, in a favorable light, when you don't like them as people. If that makes sense.

A part of me wishes I could go in on them, but there's the other issue. Carl, John, Roy, and Jerry Lee, have some zealot fans, which I've met the ire of before. Threats. Hate and inappropriate mesages. I just don't know if it's worth risking my own safety or mental health, writing about four men I question why I liked in the first place.

So, there's that.

I just hate how big of hypocrits each one of them were, big old liars, and how they pretended not to be. It's one thing to admire someone's musical talents, but I'm not sure if people should admire their negative traits or pretend they didn't exist.

Like, I still admire John's activistism, I think he said some wise things, I took to heart. But there's also the things I dislike, that I feel should be challenged, like his 'Ragged Old Flag,' threatening to shoot someone with a gun "full of love," for burning the flag. Literally right after Kris Kristopherson sang "Johnny Lobo," a song about Native American activist John Trudell, who burned the flag.

Basically, what I'm getting at is, pointing out negative things a dead person did, a long time ago isn't "cancling" them. It's just a "the fuck, John."

I mean, Carl, John, Roy, and Jerry Lee lived their entire lives trying to get out of Elvis' shadow. None ever really achiving the level of super stardom Elvis had, maybe John, maybe Roy, but still. If Elvis isn't above the same critism or "the fuck, Elvis," type of examination. Then how on earth are Carl, John, Roy, and Jerry Lee above it?
