Okay so like

Glisten was a DHMIS OC before Dandy's World was a thing, right?

HC'ing that Glisten's 'teacher' role would've been something along the lines of friendship / fitting in for the gang? Something similar to a mix of the Love episode from the webseries and Jobs and Family from the TV show (Having a community of people who care about you + fitting into an environment or mold or dynamic) - a whole bunch of Yada Yada about 'this stuff makes you likeable and this stuff doesn't!!!' and 'look at all of MY friends, aren't I popular, isn't it fun being liked by people?? Don't you want to fit in with us??'

I'm uh. NOT REALLY GOOD WITH GORE PLACEMENT SO IDK WHERE IT WOULD FIT INTO THE EPISODE IF IT WOULD EXIST?? There's almost always some gore element to the episodes- But yeah basically he is the epitome of toxic friendships / being toxic to yourself by forcing yourself into a little perfect box so that others like you. And then a lot of his Oh Shoot™�� moment that most Teachers seem to have would be breaking down from that 'perfect little box' in front of the main cast.

Anywayyyys. Red Guy is unintentionally the most popular of the bunch, Duck is constantly peeved that people aren't 'respecting' him by being his friend and is trying to steal Red's thunder, and Yellow is just. Barely even trying to fit in the whole time, he mainly wants to do his own thing.

And then that probably gets him sucked into seeing Glisten's REALLY BAD Oh Shoot™️ mental break moment from questioning why and how Yellow is still perfectly happy doing his own thing and just liking his own little group of the ✨️Three Of Us✨️ instead of a huge group of 'friends,' and then questioning why he himself is even doing all of that acting for a group of people in the first place (maybe in the episode his group of 'friends' are the ones who get attached to Red and ditch him? As a show and tell for how these types of people are just. Awful. And they latch onto Red because he's the latest thing that's caught their eyes and Glisten is old news. Just a dusty mirror. And for the rest of the episode after this happens, he's trying to get himself back to being the star of the show and potentially attempting to recruit Yellow to help him do it).

Anyways there's some brainrot for all of us fine Dandy's World / Don't Hug Me I'm Scared fans on this fine Thursday the 12th, because I have been thinking about this non-stop since I found out about this fact.

Okay I'm just saying I haven't seen the new ep yet (I will like tomorrow) but like yknow, a Kryptonian attacks and Lex realizes none of his tech and weapons can do anything against this species so he decides to fight fire with fire aka Kryptonian with Kryptonian and ends up cloning Superman and we get Conner. I watched the video so you and everyone else don't have to. The creator (Kris) makes some light jokes about how booktok is obsessed with spicy books and she was inundated with those book reviews on her 'for you' page and while she wouldn't normally read them she was intrigued by the way the booktokers talked about them then said if you (the viewer) didn't know these books then it's probably for the best because they scarred/scared her because they are filled with zero plot and just spice. she did say it wasn't meant to shame anyone for liking it (though she does make some comments that I can understand why it would upset people - like needing therapy type comments). Also before every book review she shows clips of people talking about the book on booktok which I think is kinda shitty to do without asking for permission, but not illegal as some were claiming. (I tried to add a read more break here, but tumblr hates me sorry for the long as all holy hell message)

She starts with a review on 50 shades, which honestly i haven't seen anyone talk about on booktok, but ok. she said it was basically the grandfather of the spice phenomenon. she said she read this book the first time when she was 14 when someone gave it to her. she makes comments about how the bdsm, contracts, and virgin stuff in it was just weird (which even people in bdsm say it is). she said the writing was super weak and cringe, but she devoured them as a teen and can understand why people loved them. Then she trashes Christian Grey which most everyone does and then reads quotes from the book calling it poorly written. She then said you can certainly read it, but don't expect a healthy relationship because most of these booktok books are not that.

Next book is Icebreaker (personally never read it), but she goes on to say how insane the hype is about it, but thinks it's weird that the cover looks like it was made for kids. She makes fun of how both FMCs from this and 50 Shades have the same name. She goes over what it's about then gives her take on how much useless smut there is in this book and how there's moments of good writing and says the main couple have decent communication, but it's very predictable (but the spice was shocking). She goes on to say how disturbing it is that she's seen kids on tiktok recommend the book and says she thinks it's because the cover appears so innocent and how weird to think 10 year old kids are out there reading it (and provided a clip of a kid saying their 10 year old friend read it and recommended it). Then she brings up other hockey romance books with innocent looking covers like new Elle Kennedy covers and Helena Hunting covers and how disturbing it is to make these type of books look like children's books.

Next is Birthday Girl (I have read this one because of booktok and oh boy do I wish I skipped that). She said some people praise how hot it is as a forbidden romance while others say they wish they had brain bleach and she's in that category. She talks about how crazy the age gap is because the MMC is 38 and the FMC is newly 19. She says the story is bad, the FMC is written as a very young immature teen which makes the age gap feel even more creepy. She says it was a page turner, but overall the book just felt very creepy with the age gap and how it felt like the MMC was taking advantage of the FMC because of how young she was written. She said that the age gap trope is fine in fiction so she gets why people are into the forbidden aspect of it, but that she hopes it's not normalized IRL. She made a joke about how the father figure aspect of the book made her feel like she needed to go to therapy after finishing the book.

Next is Credence (never read, no thanks!) and goes over how taboo the book is. She brings up how these books always make the FMC either super young (I think the FMC was 17 at the start of this book?) and/or a virgin. She makes jokes about how this is incesty and odd, but says she appreciated how much story building the book does in the beginning, but once the smut goes into it it just keeps going and going. She said she hated how the first bit of smut was non-con and didn't like how the author brushed it off as the cousin had mommy issues so it was fine. She said the book felt very yucky because the FMC was an orphan who hasn't dealt with any of her grief and is now stuck in a secluded cabin with her uncle and cousins who one just SAd her and it's never really addressed and how she's reliant on the kindness of these grown men to take her in so there's a power dynamic issue too. Then she says that anyone who praises this book should probably schedule weekly therapy sessions then finished by saying if you read these books you do you, but she finds they questionable at best.

Last book is 24690 (never heard of this book) but says it's a true crime masquerading as a dark romance. She says this book is a giant trigger warning and it's more horror not romance. It does sound gross imo, there's mentions of slave trade, cannibalism, torture. She said the plot was bad and predictable. It felt like torture smut that was a sprinkle of a love triangle. She said she felt like she needed to bathe in bleach after and said she doesn't understand how someone could enjoy this book and that the more people consume this dark stuff she thinks people are becoming more desensitized. She said she's not trying to shame anyone, but it was definitely too much for her and she's concerned for anyone who would enjoy books like this one.

Okay so I was right. Mild criticism.

But I was thinking about the incredible Fake Dating AU y’all were putting together and had a question, then realized I could just ask the question because it’s ✨Tumblr✨. But what do you think would’ve happened if Izzy wasn’t there when Noah passed out at the gym with Eva? Like, imagine Alejandro and Heather bust into the gym, but because of Eva’s awkward ass self(I love her sm) it genuinely just seems like she knocked out Noah. How would you expect the scenario to play out after that, because I do imagine that Aleheather wouldn’t be happy about seeing Noah laid out like a starfish-

The idea of Eva holding up a passed out Noah by the collar of his undershirt, all but looming over him in her desperation to get him to wake the fuck up, only to have both Heather and Alejandro burst into the room and misconstrue the situation entirely is so fucking funny to me. Thank you for the mental image, anon.

Because Eva has aggression practically woven into the threads of her character; she speaks aggressively, se thinks aggressively, and we all know she acts aggressively. Even when she's trying to be gentle she's always going to be rough around the edges, so it'd genuinely look like she's about to pummel an unconscious Noah into nerd-paste. Without Izzy there as a mitigating force, Eva wouldn't have the eloquence to properly explain the situation before AleHeather jump to conclusions and act accordingly.

Which would mostly be Heather trying to beat the shit out of Eva, physical discrepancies be damned, as Alejandro scoops up their partner bridal style and fusses over the 'damsel' in the situation.

Because, out of the two of them, Heather's always been the more physically aggressive one. She's not afraid to start throwing hands- of course, Heather's more likely to attack others with her words, but she's never shied away from a more hands-on approach to conflict. Whereas Alejandro, for all of his displays of physical prowess, doesn't ever really use his strength in a hostile way (his boxing math with José non-withstanding), and he's far too much of a gentleman to ever hit a woman.

So Eva would be staving off an irate Heather, who's trying to claw her eyes out or something, using her superior muscle mass to (as gently as she can) subdue Heather so she could explain herself. But 'fighting back' only makes Eva look worse to the pair, and any explanations she'd try to offer would be all but drowned out by Heather's enraged screaming, falling on deaf ears. Eva really doesn't want to hurt Heather, so she'd hold back the majority of her overwhelming strength, but Heather would interpret that as Eva looking down on her which would only serve to fuel her anger.

Meanwhile, Alejandro and his saviour complex would be trying to resuscitate Noah from his overexertion coma (previously established; Noah goes sicko mode on a punching bag and his noodly ferret body couldn't handle the strain of physical effort), though half of his attention would be diverted towards Heather going beast mode on Eva- either because he'd be genuinely concerned/alarmed by her ferocity, or because Alejandro seems like the type of guy who'd find Heather going feral kind of hot (whichever's funnier).

Eventually Heather would either tire herself out and Eva could attempt to blunder her way through an explanation- under the dual judgemental/seething glares of AleHeather- to mixed results, OR Noah would wake up, have a 'what the fuck is going on here' moment, and quickly clear up the confusion in his patented know-it-all way. That is to say, insulting everyone involved for their incompetency whilst ignoring his own pivotal role in the disagreement, and then explaining that he and Eva are cool now. (He'd probably be a dick about it to; "We're besties, me and Eva are having a sleepover tonight and we're going to talk about Boys and Shoes and Makeup and you're not invited." Noah can't stop being a sarcastic jester-coded prick for more than one scene or else he'll implode.)

Of course, this is all just speculation. I expect @perpetualexistence has plenty of their own thoughts to add to this hypothetical, as the adoptive 'co-parent' of this AU!

This is mostly just me pushing my "AleNoah ask for no pickles, Heather's the one who confronts the cashier when they get pickles" Alenoaheather dynamic. Heather the girlboss and her two cringefail, pathetic-pilled boyfriends. She's the only one of the three who can be direct with her misgivings (Noah is blunt, sure, but he skirts around confrontation- see his reaction to Alejandro's comment in "I See London..."). Also a not-so-subtle nod towards Alejandro always prioritising being the 'hero who rescues the damsel' over the 'hero who confronts the villain', which is literally just canon. The guy's not confrontational despite being manipulative- the puppet master works behind the curtains, after all. (The only time I can think of him ever directly confronting someone is, again, his comment to "Noah in I See London...", which is less of an accusation and more of a pointed comment.)

Assistant Noah AU: How Alejandro would react to Assistant Noah trying to warn Owen about the Spanish Charmer, by calling the Charmer an 'eel dipped in grease'?... Would Alejandro be salty that he can't vote Assistant Noah off, since Noah isn't a contestant?... Would Alejandro charm + flirt harder with Assistant Noah? 😘

noah being an assistant here implies something very specific — being, he’d definitely know alejandro knows. this would mean more, except that noah is not here for the competition, he’s here for The Paycheck.

on noahs end at least i don’t think he would care much, but i do hesitate to say what alejandro specifically would think of the situation — because despite him being badmouthed (which. i will get to), it does imply favoritism that noah is telling owen, which he may assume to extend further to their team and potentially be an advantage point.

he is. wrong. noahs ‘favoritism’ extends to owen and not so much in challenges, but im sure there’s potential there for alejandro to try and make nice with owen to reap this favoritism (or at least cut down how much owen receives by being close, since noah doesn’t seem to like alejandro much) < but the turning point comes with that because noah just Does Not Care.

i’d imagine he’d be juuust as flagrant about his favoritism without it technically infringing on any rules, explicit or implicit (and the rest of the cast, sans maybe those like heather or courtney, would be aware that owen would never do anything underhanded or wildly unfair with those privileges so it’s not so major in that regard either)

anyway, alejandro sees what happens and tries to intercept on owen to reap some benefit or control over the situation, and it doesn’t work. where does he go from there? flirting!!

^ this has more to it than narrative, being mostly alejandro’s character and it’s existence, really. while in canon his charming is more consistently his ‘first option’ for his scheming, you can see it through his relationship through heather how it can be a failsafe instead — where he can’t explicitly scheme her away from the game like he could with team victory, he flirts with her to make her emotionally volatile.

(also something to be said about how it is, in a way, a manner of forcing himself control over at least a small part of it)

all my rambling to mean that since alejandro can do nothing about noah, he goes to reap control and petty enjoyment through trying to fluster him (and, back to what i said earlier, probably some vindication for being badmouthed). spoiler alert: it doesn’t work.

finally getting over to the being badmouthed thing, i would want it to mean something more exciting, but the kinda boring, semantical answer i can give is just that. noah would probably know because he has access to stuff like confessional footage.

don’t get me wrong there’s definitely potential for a misunderstanding-type situation where alejandro writes off his own intrigue in noah as ‘wanting to figure out how he knew’, and introduces the conflict when someone (likely noah himself) tells him that no, he just knows because he has footage access. that’s it.

^ it would theoretically kill alejandro’s interest, but retconned with that alejandro may reason (in a way to ignore his feelings. stupid man in Denial) that it would bother noah if he continues to flirt despite knowing this.

(and of course that like heather is the only person alejandro could drop pretenses around in canon, noah would be that to him here — because he could. noah knows, he knows noah knows, and there’s no explicit or immediate threat to his game by doing so < which might amp up post-owen elimination, after noah is soothed from his inevitable spite.)

which he would be kind of right about? i do mostly see noah as more pissed that it’s taking away from his job (probably more at chris’ insistence, as the viewers are eating it up) and there being a more definite pivotal point once owen is eventually eliminated.

(going more definitely two-sided, i’d imagine noahs own feelings developing as he needles for information through alejandro’s constant attempts at flirting and does genuinely appreciate the more genuine parts of himself.)

for an actual relationship between them though i do imagine it would have to come post-season — either route you take it, drama-bot or not.
