I think one of the things that compels me about Chandler/Joey as a ship and honestly just as a dynamic in general is the fact that they both see each other in a way that’s different from how most people view them. Like, Joey’s reputation is absolutely just that he’s a hot guy who sleeps around and Chandler’s is that he’s a total and complete loser. To everyone else, Joey is way cooler/better than Chandler, but Joey definitely doesn’t view himself that way. For one thing, he thinks Chandler has lots of good qualities he thinks Chandler is smart (although he doesn’t actually know what Chandler’s job is and neither do we) and he appreciates everything Chandler does for him, such as supporting him even when his acting career hadn’t taken off yet. Thats why he bought him that horrendous bracelet early on, which is probably one of the sweetest if not silliest gestures in the show. But despite the fact that Joey does rely on Chandler a lot financially, it’s really clear that that isn’t why they’re friends. After all, when Joey gets his role on Days of Our Lives and moves out, he gets comically upset over not seeing Chandler anymore, resulting in that romantic-drama style montage of them both staring longingly out rainy windows (or whatever that weird rain-machine thing Joey had was.) For Chandlers part, he sees Joey as a lot more than just a playboy. Like I mentioned before, he supports Joey’s acting career even when everybody thinks that his acting is shit. It would have been completely reasonable of him to insist that his newfound roommate get a job and help pay for their apartment, especially considering they weren’t friends when Joey first moved in, but it didn’t go down like that. Chandler believed in him and in his acting skills and is constantly helping him practice his lines and perfect his auditions. Pretty much what I’m saying is, they don’t reduce each other. These two flourish as a dynamic because they let each other be more than their surface level personas and that makes them the greatest friends in the world. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

would love to be sandwiched in between changbin and chan while they take turns pounding my cunt. like imagine chan pulls out after cumming inside you once and is like "'s binnie's turn now, baby. you feel that? mhm. feel how different it feels? that nice stretch?" cause he knows bin's cock is a lot more girthy than his but it's okay cause chan makes up for what bin lacks in length yk. chan would tease your clit with his fingers, rubbing slow circles around it and sucking on your nipples while changbin fucks you rough. he's a moaning mess, makes your body shake and jolt around on top of chan's from the force of his thrusts, but the latter only chuckles lowly at how eager he is. "hyung, she takes it so good," he practically whimpers, and that makes you clench again, eliciting a low growl from his chest. "look at that, pretty, you're gonna make binnie cum," chan says, abandoning your swollen bud to put his fingers in your mouth instead. before you know it, you're both cumming hard, a loud moan escaping changbin's lips as he fills you up, but he keeps rutting his hips into you until it hurts so much he needs to pull out. "already?" chan queries, his voice dripping faux disappointment, and he looks back at you, smiling in a way that lets you know he's definitely not letting the both of you rest anytime soon. he lightly taps the tip of his cock against your clit before pushing into you again suddenly, making you yelp softly from the overstimulation. "must be my turn again, hmm?"

I think as much as free housing for everyone is a good goal, we gotta also fight for the right to not live in a house if you don't want to? Like I am aware that for the vast majority of homeless folks rn it's a non-choice or half-choice under the current system but like. Idk like even if the state provides everyone with an apartment or tiny home, even if most people would take that deal in a heartbeat, it's not okay for the state to force someone into housing they don't want. It's not okay for the state to tow someone's camper van even if they give them an apartment in exchange. I should have the right to travel for months on end and camp anywhere suitable that isn't being used. Freedom of movement and freedom to occupy spaces is really important actually.

@mossy-aro made an excellent post, that can be found HERE, on the subversive nature of aromantic positivity, and how negativity can damage the community and “we should focus on building, improving, and nurturing ourselves and each other (construction) as opposed to destruction.”
I wholeheartedly agree, but I wanted to talk about ‘negative’ feelings a bit more. The type of negativity Mossy was largely discussing seemed to be the ones that stemmed from self-hatred. “I hate being aro.” “This is so hard, I wish I was normal,” etc., etc. This negativity, no matter what personal place it comes from, can and does damage the aromantic community.
Negativity spreads, we’ve seen it in online spaces before, and we’re seeing it now. Being aromantic can be hard, so it’s frankly easy and understandable, that the bombardment of negativity would harm individual aromantic people and the community as a whole. Being an online community, we’re pretty insular, which can make the negativity feel particularly inescapable.
I would argue, however, that the negative feelings themselves aren’t an issue that needs to be corrected. There’s a reason you feel that way, and it’s likely rooted in some real-life issues either on a personal level or on a societal way. It’s not your fault, and you shouldn’t feel bad about it.
The  issue arises when you share those feelings without examining the root cause of the feeling. You hate being aro. Okay, but why? Is it a sense of isolation from your peers? Is it the cost of living for a single person in your area? What is it about being aro that you find difficult enough that you hate it?
A post that reads “I hate being aro” is always going to have a negative impact, whereas a post like, “I find being an aromantic person isolating,” opens up the start of a conversation. You’ve made progress, but even going from Point A to Point B, I think Point C would be an even more useful place to be.
You find being an aromantic person isolating, but why? What specific thing do you find isolating? Is it the lack of real-life connections you have with aromantic people? With Point C, the conversation becomes the start of an interrogation with an intra-community issue.
We have now gone from “I hate being aro,” to, “I find the lack of aromantic community outside of online spaces isolating.” Besides the harm reduction that interrogating these negative thoughts clearly performs, the biggest difference between Point A and Point C is that Point C is actionable. You can take real, actionable steps in forming in-person communities, both on a personal level, and as a community.
“I hate being aro,” gives you no actionable steps, even in the figurative sense. It only serves to spread your negative feelings. Negative feelings, sadness, fear, rage, all have their place both internally and within your community. But, you need to think critically about what you’re putting into the community, and interrogate where that feeling is coming from in the first place.
All aromantic feelings have the potential to be fulfilling on a personal level and even, as Mossy said, be harnessed “as a form of protest and political power.” We can use these negative feelings to improve ourselves, and our communities. They can be just as fruitful building blocks as aromantic joy.
You’ve just got to interrogate your own feelings or you risk doing detrimental harm to the aro community, and none of us want that. This is where we live.

one of these days i'm writing some kind of essay about lost media and humanity's need to solve loose ends. people only care about it because its lost. people only know its lost because somebody cared about it. it's such an achingly beautiful concept. it's such a horrifying fate. it's about mortality and the traitor that is memory and about love. its about the human spirit and a new kind of folklore. all forms of media preservation are a race against the deprecation and physical decomposition of their storage medium. i hope there's a heaven for art.

on the topic of in mouthwashing, how much people are blaming curly... what would YOU have done? genuinely. how would you have handled it? what could you have done differently in the two days before jimmy acted out and crashed the ship?
my understanding of the relationship between those two is that they were friends. curly didn't know about what jimmy did. and then he finds out, and what do you do? you are the captain and you are in the most control that there can be about the situation. loyalty to your friend says cover for him, but he did something really terrible. loyalty to your crew says detain him, but how? what are you supposed to do with him? worst case scenario, do you kill him as soon as you find out? it was only two days before the crash. how fast could you process all of that information and act on it?
i get its a game, but i think its supposed to be this big thinkpiece on this scenario. i don't think the point is to shift the blame from jimmy to curly. i don't care that curly didn't do every single thing he possibly could've done in two days. i know i couldn't have. i would have felt trapped, and stuck, and overwhelmed. i would've had dinner that night with the crew and just been unable to wrap my head around the fact something terrible happened and i didn't know before this. i would've wanted to message my superiors for some sort of protocol, but the company is being dissolved. you are the final authority over four other living beings. genuinely, what the fuck do you even do?
the whole point is it's jimmy's fault. jimmy did it. jimmy is the one who should take some fucking responsibility. maybe curly didn't do the right things, but jimmy sure as FUCK did not.

“I found the perfect place, Yaz!” Graham walks into to console room, waving what the Doctor recognizes as a travel book from one of her libraries.
“You said you wanted to visit an alien library, well, this here’s the largest one in the universe! An entire library planet!”
The Doctor sprints over to him and rips the book from his hands. “Find somewhere else. And no libraries.”
The bite in her voice startles them.
———
An hour later the Doctor shuffles into the kitchen where Yaz, Graham and Ryan are having tea, she avoids eye contact. “I’ve changed my mind. I think.. we should go to that library.”
———
They arrive at the Library, the Doctors mood has not improved, she’s hardly said a word since.
“I’m going to drop you off at this section. I… need to be alone here.”
They all shift awkwardly and look at one another, exchanging worried glances.
“Are you alright?” Yaz asks her.
“Stay off my comm channel unless it’s an emergency.” She closes the TARDIS door and a moment later it vanishes.
———
They meet back up a few hours later.
They find the Doctor sitting in a large, wide staircase. Her eyes are red and her cheeks are damp.
“We’re here for you, you know, if you ever need to talk.” Graham says softly as they all take a seat around her.
She eventually looks over at her friends. She thinks once more of River and of Amy and of Rory. She wants a family again.
“I lost my wife here.” She suddenly wants to tell them everything.
She hears them all inhale sharply.
“… This is also the place where I first met her.”
Ryan’s hand touches her shoulder. “Wow, that’s really shit, mate.”
“Ryan!” Yaz and Graham say simultaneously.
“Was that not the right thing to say?” Ryan mumbles to Yaz.
The Doctor laughs.
She smiles at them all, and she lets the tears fall again.
Yaz leans in and wraps her arms around the Doctor, Ryan and Graham follow suit. They stay a little while longer, and talk, and cry, and they hold her more. Her family.

i think the real reason why Kyuma's team lost wasn't bc they didn't have teamwork (bc they did lol), but because their specialties were too similar, thus, making their team less rounded than Arisu's.
like, Arisu is a hearts player, Usagi is spades, Tatta clubs, Niragi diamonds, and Kuina fluctuates between clubs and spades, whereas Kyuma's team was built up of mostly spades/clubs players (with the exeption of Shitara).
it doesn't mean Kyuma's team weren't smart, the opposite really, but overall, it just shows you NEED a well-rounded team for clubs games, as it gives multiple perspectives and the best chance for winning. going into a clubs game with only clubs players defeats the point of what a clubs game will entail.

being a huge fan of tlou but also like. thinking that certain stories are built for certain mediums. like the entire theme of tlou2 is grounded and fresh because it’s a railroad/story video game that still affords you mechanical choices in how you navigate the world. i just don’t have a lot of confidence that presenting that story in a tv show with the minimal adjustments that they did in s1 will be fulfilling or compelling in any comparable way. because with tlou1 some of the like. beauty of that story was simply that it was such an emotive story contained in the medium of video games. and some of that was retained just by hitting similar or expanded emotional beats in the show, like the episodes that expanded on the life of the characters and the realities of that world. but truly so much of tlou2 emotional depth and ‘why does this story matter’ rests in the fact that’s it’s your hands on the controller, continually choosing to go forward in the story and have hope that it will work out in your-as-ellie-or-abby-or-somehow-booth’s favour. and you simply cannot get that in a non-interactive medium like television. like i do think tlou2 is a good story but it’s a good story because of the investment required by the player to keep pressing buttons and keep returning and to feel the adrenaline like responses of high intensity moments and be jarringly shifted into backstories that only increase the frustration. in general i’ve been thinking a lot about cross-medium adaptation and on the one hand i am glad that season 1 makes the story of the last of us more accessible to people who wouldn’t pick up a video game but it’s also like. maybe instead we can destigmatize video games as this inaccessible and dangerous medium a bit more instead of just . implicitly agreeing . like no maybe your mom won’t pick up a video game controller and play the last of us . but maybe you can play the game in the living room. sometimes the mediums that stories are told in aren’t just important but are actually foundational parts of how the information of a story is conveyed and that’s not only okay but is fucking fantastic. we should be happy actually that there are so many ways to collect a bunch of themes and ideas and put them together and hold them out to someone else and say “won’t you consider this with me. won’t you feel these emotions and care about these characters with me.”
#i’ve been thinking about this both for academic and personal reasons#where like. my thesis literally includes discussion of tlou2 and it’s profundity because of the players position as in control but without#real decision making power in the story#and it’s like. you’re the person animating these two ptsd ridden women who subject themselves to be puppets to their#own grief . and there’s something particularly resonant about the fact that you can’t change the Story. you can only play it.#and like . i’ve talked with my mom a lot about the last of us#since i played it the first time and it really just rocked my shit. and i remember walking out my bedroom after i’d finished tlou2#feeling that odd mixture of empty and completely fulfilled by a good story with tears in my eyes#and a few years later when i visited home and had happened to bring my ps4 along with me and i was having a rough time#my mom asked if i’d want to show her tlou. because she knew i loved it and because i’ve told her it has tropes she’d enjoy#but the only games she’ll ever play are point and click because she’s stubborn and some physicality stuff#but like i remember sitting on the couch just. playing this game and it wasn’t the exact same as her playing it herself . but sometimes her#commentary was like it was.#i just. idk man. tlou lover wants to be hyped but seeing the exact same visuals from the game just in tv show format is like#. what’s the point. why are you distilling the themes by removing the active (non)agency of the player and#replacing it with the passive role of ‘watcher’ in a story so emphatically about having an active role in the action#anyway#tagging this#tlou#for blog organization but this isn’t discourse or whatever just me thinkin my thoughts on my blog

its 10 am post more isat/twewy thoughts
Loop:
Composer (accidental), previous death game participant
Same latent ability as Siffrin- has been concentrated in on themselves since their shift in role
Has no idea how to compose and initially didn’t even realize that’s what they were. due to a variety of circumstances including the increasing buildup of trash noise, things are falling apart. Inversion “pockets” scattered around as a result. “Rewinds” (type of noise) emerge from these pockets, aand denizens of both the RG and UG are getting stuck there.
Sits in a weird, Joshua-esque spot as far as story role goes. Refuses to form a pact with Siffrin and is largely unhelpful to him, but ultimately still provides support and advice. More or less just their original role modified for the circumstances.
Refuses to show their face to any Death Game participants that arent Siffrin.
Noise Form: Ophiuchus Cantus, a giant sea serpent
The King:
Conductor (original in both timelines), previous death game participant
Latent Ability: Freeze (you know what this is)
Loves the RG and it’s people perhaps too much, attempting to freeze it in time to “preserve” it. Creates “Tempos” (type of Noise) to do so.
Constantly at ends with Loop, their efforts to thwart one another are making things worse.
Noise Form: Mobula Cantus, a manta ray
Euphrasie:
Producer, previously composer
Latent Ability: Soothe (self explanatory, i think)
(Accidentally) evicted from her role, knows she has been but doesnt know how or why
Hanekoma-esque role, provides advice and support to Siffrin and the party- has been recording things since the UG first got upended
Still head housemaiden in the RG. She can multitask.
Gradually corrupted by trash noise from the aftermath of the timeline resets. Becomes more of a symbol of disaster for Siffrin than the supportive figure she’s trying to be. Growing increasingly incomprehensible and erratic in the process.
Noise Form: Diomeda Cantus, a great albatross

I am not a prismdani guy in the sense that I dont think that could ever have a happy ending even in theory without altering or disrespecting their characters in some essential way and i dont think a fully tragic and fucked up ending for a character like dani with no light at the end of the tunnel really suits cpuk's tone or themes in the grand scheme of things
but i am in the sense that i understand and am compelled by it in like a horror movie way.
In a 'dear god dani get the hell out of there' way.
In a 'hey that scene in orange looked almost like a date before the arm thing, (the most flagrantly horrifying red flag yet at that point and what made most of us fully turn on her after some hesitation about fully condemning her when she gave cobalt a crisis instead of advice and shoved folk and treuse around before the Kicker that was her killing crimson onstage) that, as a flashback, was immediately preceded by Crimson (literally a walking red flag that somethings deeply wrong in Prism's metaphorical house, Noone Really Acts Like That For No Reason,) asking what Prism's been doing and saying and followed within said flashback by Quadratic (Mr. Character Arc Revolves Around Healing From A Relationship With A Character He Goes On To Explicitly Compare Prism To) carefully soft-confronting Prism so as not to make a scene while checking in with Dani to make sure shes okay and to let Prism know he has his eyes on her and isnt afraid to bluntly and unambiguously leak information to the audience she wants to keep secret while theyre on camera so she better not pull any shit' way.
In a 'the butchest girl twitter can handle without getting scared and me, the sunshiney eccentric femme she serves and obeys onesidedly like a dog, her own character subsumed into an aesthetically cute complimentary nonthreatening opposition to mine :) (dani cannot bring herself to admit shes grown afraid of setting her off or disappointing her or disobeying and being made to feel that oppressive crush of obligation as Prism manipulates her, struggling to realize and process the idea that Prism is a threat to her because an Abuser™️ (as per popular cultural portrayal) is supposed to be an obviously evil physically threatening bastard mcbadguy not a 5'0" nothing bible camp counselor that uses pressure, guilt, information control and other such tactics to creep into your thoughts to rewire your behavior to her liking if you don't have the means to reject what she imposes on you.) look at us we share a character flaw we're foils arent we charming :)' kinda way.

PLEAAASE watch this movie if you got two hours#ive left some minor warnings on my Watchlist doc but there's nothing. TOO extreme ??#i mean there's an aforementioned suicide attempt but aside from that it's nothing too grotesque. for an rgg fan ig#ok bye i have to ramble about the card holder i got <3
