I could repeat what my opponent has said about things like fighting for us and whatnot, which of course I would, but that would simply be rehashing what's already been said. So just for the record, I would fight for us (and all other queer people).

However, that's not what this post is for. It's for my banner (unless I make a new one) and to say that while I'm ready to get serious, I'm also ready to get silly. One may notice my tag structure on my blog. I am THE silly goofy girl in a silly goofy mood. A leader should be able to guide in both difficult and easy times, and I will stand for you through both. I will give you advice in low times and jokes in high. (And vice versa!) I know how to listen to problems and validate you. If you don't want advice I will simply let you talk. If you don't like my jokes I'll get whole new material. In a province led by me, we'd prosper through anything.

I'm also running my platform on knowledge. I love libraries. I love teaching and the sharing of knowledge, the connection and the community. I will teach you (and help you find sources,) and you can teach me if you'd like. I'll listen to you info dump. In a province led by me, education would be free and as full as possible. No censored topics. I can get you PDFs of books. Knowledge is power and if I were elected, I would make sure we all had that power. Thank you :)

Happy pride month! Remember that no matter what, whether out or in the closet, gay, lesbian, bi, pan, trans, non-binary, gender fluid, aro, ace, etc etc etc (because there are so many beautiful people that it is genuinely impossible for me to even reach a fraction of the labels we've come up with to describe ourselves and what we feel/don't feel. I could never make a post long enough to fit even half!) to every single person who falls under lgbtq+, queer, or whatever umbrella term you feel most comfortable with, or even none of those if you feel they don't fit who you are underneath (I know some queer people find some of the acronyms too stifling, long, etc and some LGBT+ people aren't alright with queer because of trauma and it's history, and many other reasons for different terms and people.) to all you beautiful wonderful people!

YOU ARE VALID

You will never not be valid. No one can ever chain you aren't being queer right. (I'm going to use queer as shorthand for the rest of this post for ease of writing, sorry to anyone who doesn't like it for whatever reason. I hope you know this post is still for you.) No one can ever tell you there is a right way to be queer. You can be straight and be queer. You can be cis and be queer. You can be straight and cis and be queer. (Currently looking at you aspec people! Except for agender technically.) You can have super simple or complicated identifies and labels. You can have girlfriends and boyfriends and partners and they don't have to be romantic, or they can be solely romantic, or y'all can be what's considered average and vanilla. You can be a boyfriend or a girlfriend or a partner! No one can shame you about how you and your partner(s) are for how you love. And you can of course have no partners at all. Your gender could be as solid as a rock or as fluid as broth when you add extra water to it, you can identify one way but present another, you can present as a gender simply for the bit! (Is this about drag? You'll never know 😏) YOU ARE ALWAYS VALID. PERIOD.

Never, EVER, let someone tell you that's not true. And never ever worry you're unloved, because I love you. I don't know you, we could be people who will never get along but I promise, no matter what, I still love you. So don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise. I will always always love you and there are many other people who feel the same. I wish every single one of you a great pride month!
