there's something about characters who never show any vulnerabilities, any gaps, any weaknesses, any exhaustion, being shown sleeping. there's just SOMETHING about it

#Fourfold Soul#<- That's the title of the project I've been working on!#I am very excited to finally show off the cowboy (gender redacted) I've been cooking in a slow boil!!! Yeehaw!#Yes this is the game project. YES I am commited to the bit of having the main character go through a long running pronoun-quest.#This character does not have a name so I cannot formally tag them...#(Okay. Technically they have an internal name for coding/scripting reasons...and I have a nickname for them.#But the important part of making a video game character you get to eventually name is that the name must come from *you*!)#The girl here is a npc so she has a temporary name. So I also cannot tag her. Hmm...#I have several FFS comics thumbnailed out. This one got made first because it's the funniest without context. Lore wise it's weak.#I would love to post the sexy clown but you have to wait just a few more comics.#Fun artist woes moment to share: This is the first time I've had to colour these characters traditionally. *That* was NOT fun.#Going from a specific digital colour palette to being at the whims of my limited colour choices in markers? Hell! On! Earth!#I might also be extra frustrated because this sure is 3x the length of what I usually do for comics! I spent a Whole Day on this.#Past me thought it was soooo funny and needed all the extra panels for pacing. I hate past me. That guy needs to be exploded.

the way tattoo is so rough around the edges and has no idea what to do when faced with aran's overflowing emotions and tears (even the fake ones) but whatever gentleness he possess, even if it might not look like much to others, he's always willing to give

“you can’t possibly want-“ and sanji gestures vaguely to himself, his disturbed, almost guilty, look barely concealed by the puff of smoke he releases from his lips. “this. me. i, as i am, can’t possibly be enough for you.”
zoro says nothing, staring out over the expanse of ocean stretched before them.
“there has to be something you want from me. from a relationship with me.”
and zoro fights the urge to take the cook by his shoulders and shake the doubt, the insecurity, the belief that sanji could be anywhere near inadequate, out of him.
instead he steps closer and meets sanji’s single eye, ignoring the striking, diamond-like glint of his other grey-blue eye peeking through his golden bangs so he doesn’t get lost in it.
“yeah. there might be something.”
zoro immediately hates how sanji minutely sags with relief at that, comforted by the familiarity of rejection- something he was more thoroughly acquainted with throughout his life than reciprocation.
“to think i was almost worried you were losing it, going on about being in love with me.”
zoro nods. “i am.”
“right,” sanji scoffs out through a smile, but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes. the swordsman watches another puff of smoke slip silkily out of sanji’s mouth as the cook turns toward him. “now spit it out. what do you actually want from me?”
“nothing much, cook,” he says, “just forever.”

Do you think that julien and jd are going to get together again? Man i am clawing at your leg begging for them to have that happy ending.
Part of me feels julien genuinely loves and cares for jd, and that the guilt of what happened and the shame of what he did follows him like a lost dog. Hes never going to know what happiness feels like as long as he doesnt have his boy. And that eats at him. He feels pathetic for begging but at the same time what does he have left to lose? Dignity? He lost that the day john found out about the lip syncing. About everything.
John might be in a similar boat, having the guilt eating at him. He hates what julien did. But does he hate him himself? Fuck if he knows. All he does know is that the ache in his chest is a pain in the ass and that no matter what he cant go back to alcohol to subside it. So what can he go to? What can he do? He needs to be strong, to set his foot down. But even though he acts like he despises the guy, he still has that fucking wedding ring. He still has that ache. Sure there were others, but those were casual even in marriage. But this? This had a plan. A promise.
And that was broken. Years ago.
I wonder if they’ll ever fix it.
