#rug hooking #muffled laugh #wip #artists on tumblr #squints #honestly the difficult part is over( aka the cat) so that's good #I say speedrunning but it's in two weeksish #but it's kinda big? hgnng I want it to be an actual rug but since it's not pure wool idk how durable it would be #in the long run #which again I still wanna make a big rug for my room #so I can stomp around on it/test it out haha #being able to use the malabrigo chunky green yarn is very satisfying #also bless you chunky yarn which is making the progress go a lot faster haha #I drew a failed pattern on the other side of the backing and the fingertips on my left hand #look super bruised but it's just the marker rubbing off mhjfg #still like this style the most I think (the blended color type? like with the sea otter haha or the horse one #or like there's a big mix of textures/yarn size #coelacanth is fun but I think I got a little too nitpicky with it #lmao all my breaks between work have either been coral island or rug hooking #sort of related but there was a yarn shop I went to maybe 2 years ago?#and there was a yarn I bought there that I'm finally using up more and it's literally the softest/fluffiest yarn ever :'D #need to dig through my labels to see which brand it was #sorry to all the people who decided to open tags and got slammed with a wall of text/ramblings LMAO #edit: rip the yarn brand's actually been discontinued since 2018 hAHA

That scene from this anime where the girl (Aira) almost fell off a cliff after a hallucination is a childhood core memory for me for some reason. 😭 (Said hallucination is around 38:47.)

This isn't a crossover AU. I drew it as connverse because I just thought it would be fun.

Stupid shenanigans during their college era referencing this. Harold used to have a stupid moustache and goatee in that “I just started growing facial hair and idk what to do with it” kind of style.

Giving Melvin friends but also making him the shortest and the angriest out of the gang. He is friends with George and Harold and he hates it so much, he is entrenched in denial about it. His only two besties are each fathers of two and very much married, OF COURSE he's going to be mom/dad-friended to death.

They are judging you.

#I LOVE making them friends as adults but also collectively super dumb.#It doesn’t matter how smart you are- when you’re around your friends your average common sense levels just drop drastically - it’s a law.#I’M ALSO including the kids / younger versions in their shenanigans because fuck canon and fuck time space continuum.#I need them to have anachronistic stupid interactions NOW.#I like to think that George and Harold to be pretty good with their younger counterparts because they have experience with kids.#Meanwhile Melvin and HIS younger self are bickering and arguing every five second like two siblings with a big age gap and #absolutely HATE each other. imagine meeting ghost on your summer vacation. enjoying your trip, sightseeing to your heart’s content and now drinking a mojito in the bar at the resort.

when suddenly you see this big guy dressed in all black and with a black mask covering his face. you think he must be hot under the scorching sun but he doesn't even appear bothered.

you get talking to the older lady running the bar and she notices your stare. "oh did he catch your eye?" you almost choke on your drink, quickly trying to deny it but she ignores it. you find out he is a handyman of sorts here on his days out of deployment. she tells you the story of how he saved her from a gang fight and while you're focusing on her the chair next to you screeches a bit and then the big hulking beast of a man sits next to you, one hand resting on the back of yours the other holding a beer that feels out of place in this exotic paradise. even more so when you never see him lift his mask to drink.

"bit rude to talk abou' me behind my back, innit?" he says, eyes pinning you in place.

"as if you're one to talk, your manners were left in the military, you big oaf." the woman laughs and then turns to you. "he's just trying to look rough, lots of bark no bite that one." you lock eyes with him as she says those words to find his mask pulled up after he took a sip and his tongue runs along his teeth at the last bit. he pulls the mask down right after letting you see only what he wanted and hiding the scar bisecting his lip and another one on his chin.

"she can find out f'r herself, can't you, luv?" you're glad you can use the excuse of the sun and heat for why your cheeks redden and your heart beats out of your chest.
