Unless you learn to face your own shadows, you will continue to see them in others, because the world outside of you is only a reflection of the world inside you.

Quote
Jung’s interest in the ‘Shadow’ – a dark version of the self – was expressed in distinctly architectural terms: 'The shadow is a tight passage, a narrow door, whose constriction no one is spared who goes down to the deep well...where I am indivisibly this and that; where I experience the other in myself and the other-than-myself experiences me'.

Understanding 8th house with Jungian psychology!
Tumblr media
Carl Jung, the man himself had Sun in 8th house, Mercury and Venus conjunction in 7th house, Mars in 12th house and sagittarius ascendant. This clearly shows his giftedness in projection, shadow self and human personality (7th house) and occult, subconscious and psychiatry (8th house). Mercury and Venus conjunction in 7th house: Well, he did marry a rich wife and had many affairs, but I suspect his emotional life was not so stable, which is why he left the legacy of depth psychology. He had moon in Aries in 5th house.
8th house has a link to occult, psychiatry, bringing subconscious to conscious (tarot, automatic writing, synchronicities etc), magick, the hidden mysterious chaos of life. 8th house is the portal to the unconscious. I personally use journaling, tarot, sigils, intuition, magick, automatic writing, as various tools to explore the unconscious. Sacred geometry, psychoanalysis, astrology, shamanism all come naturally to 8th house natives.

Jung Hoseok - J-Hope, Aquarius, Saturn Return, recent album ♒ 🎭 🎪
Tumblr media
P.s.: Hoseok has Saturn in Pisces in 11th house.
And his Saturn return is approaching, as soon (2023) Saturn will be in Pisces, and in the case of his chart, Saturn is already in the 11th house, so the natal characteristics of this placement are already being felt.
Natal Chart
Hoseok has in his birth chart an aspect called Moon opposite Jupiter, which makes him feel emotional needs (Moon) related to excess, especially excess of positivity, optimism (Jupiter).
This affects his emotional and also his habits and mood, because we are talking about the Moon. And in a somewhat complicated way, this increases because externally there are demands from people interested in this image that he conveys, an image of someone positive, of a person who is there to serve others, being "the source of other people's happiness". If it was just people seeing him that way, but it's something very CONSCIOUS that he has inside himself. After all, he created or allowed a persona called J-Hope to be created for this purpose: to be people's "hope".
This aspect creates a tension between his emotions and habits and his growth and optimism.
It's an aspect even called "the aspect of the flamboyant", because it brings a certain excess and need to be noticed, which, in his case, makes a lot of sense: the image he conveys of a happy, positive, optimistic person is one of the points that makes him noticed.
If he always showed himself in such a way, what could have made him make an album showing that his personality is not based on this image of J-Hope? An album in which, by the way, he wonders if that image (J-Hope) corresponds to what he is.
People tend to think that the fact that Hoseok brings an album in this vibe means that he's just now getting in touch with it. But that idea is wrong, because I'm pretty sure he already had an awareness of what he was doing to his own personality.
Aquarians tend to notice when they are being limited in their expression,
and this generates a certain internal revolt. What happened with Hoseok is that he never made a big expression of it. But I feel that, as an Aquarius, Jung Hoseok was at least minimally aware that he was limiting himself in his identity.
Saturn Return
Saturn returns give people a bit of a reality check, or at least they tend to deal with a greater amount of self-assessment and demands, especially internal ones, in the area that Saturn touches in the natal chart.
In Jung Hoseok's case, he is currently having to deal with Saturn's transit through his 11th house, which is currently in Aquarius.
The return of Saturn in the 11th brings as issues to deal with:
Concerns about the role the native has played in the world
Social issues are more addressed
Criticism how about people conduct their group attitudes
Observation on what kind of person the native has had in his life
A certain loneliness
Self-criticism and self-assessment about the role that the native has assumed
Problems with friendships, limitations in the area of friendships
Isolation
Big visions, away from the ego and closer to collective issues
So, in my analysis, the Saturn return made him think about it even more and is bringing a certain need to put it out through music. This return, which has not yet occurred but is approaching, is influencing him to seek more meaning in the things he does.
Saturn is currently in Aquarius, remembering that this planet is the classic ruler of Aquarius, and ends up bringing a search for structure, also contributing to the most social part of the sign of Aquarius. Therefore, when these two come together, we have a union that brings a search for structure and at the same time criticism, especially social criticism. Even the personal reflections of those who already have Saturn in Aquarius or Saturn in the 11th house become social reflections, related to the collective. Although sometimes they are personal reflections, what occurs in internal level will have some connection with the social.
For example: "I don't feel so good being in X or Y groups anymore. Because I would like the people I was with to be more aware of this and that, to be more truthful, to have certain purposes…".
As an Aquarius, Hoseok tends to have certain traits of perceiving social things around him. He has the attributes of Aquarius, that everyone can be sure of. The difference is in how he hadn't expressed as much by the very environment he was in.
Which for me finds a certain explanation looking at his own natal chart: Sun square Moon brings a great sense of conflict between what his emotional wants (emotional Taurus, who seeks security and comfort, control and stability) and what his personality desires (Aquarius ego, who wants to be true to his personality, usually wants to do things his own way).
Saturn's return brings to any native, in different ways, the need to reach maturity. This is the time when a reality check can occur and a certain verification of who the person has been in that area where Saturn touches. In his case, Saturn is in the 11th house, bringing especially for him, an Aquarian, issues to deal with in relation to: being himself, being authentic, being true to his identity + social concerns.
Jack in the Box
Tumblr media
Looking at some of the tracks, I can clearly see the union of Jung Hoseok's natal chart with his Saturn return approaching. In the natal chart, he has a lot of 11th house present (in the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Saturn).
The songs from Jack in the Box are critical, talk about human behavior in the 21st century, demonstrate Hoseok's views on the problems caused by people and how it affects him, in addition to bringing primarily the question of who he has been, his conflict in the ego: Persona x Shadow.

If I accept the lowest in me, I lower a seed into the ground of Hell. The seed is invisibly small, but the tree of life grows from it and conjoins the Below with the Above. At both ends there is fire and blazing embers. The Above is fiery and the Below is fiery. Between the unbearable fires grow your life. You hang between these two poles. In an immeasurably frightening movement the stretched hanging welters up and down. We thus fear our lowest, since that which one does not possess is forever united with the chaos and takes part in its mysterious ebb and flow. Insofar as I accept the lowest in me — precisely that red glowing sun of the depths, the upper shining sun also rises. Therefore he who strives for the highest finds the deepest.
