He just wants to be heard, no sympathy necessary, no fawning over the way he sheds the skin he used to wear when he felt like happiness was millions of miles away. He just wants to be listened to. To Saeyoung, it’s the ultimate show of trust to admit to all the things he regrets, let them spill out like word vomit and not have to worry about the consequences. He doesn’t need you to understand, and knows you likely can’t given the specifics of his life’s course thus far, but knowing that you’re keen on carrying the burden with him is such an insurmountable feeling of relief. Jumin gives me trouble because I feel like he listens to music for lyrics or lack thereof rather than sound. He listens to blues, jazz, classical and maybe a soft rock love song here and there. If he listens to a song with lyrics, he'll study them. He doesn't really listen to music often but when he does, it's often used as background noise rather than him genuinely indulging.

Yoosung

Yoosung didn't think much about cheerleaders before he met you. He does know about a cheer team at his uni, but he saw them perform only once or twice, thanks to his friends taking him out on another outing after his midterms. But when you tell him that you're a cheerleader? The boy is hooked. He's going to beg for you to send him a video of your performance so that he could see you in all your glory right away. There are literal stars in his eyes as he watches you jump and dance with such ease in your every move, it almost looks like you're flying. Be ready for a thousand questions after that. He is absolutely in awe of you, and he wants to learn everything! After that, he will try to attend all of your competitions without question, although his schedule will force him to miss out at times. Watching you train will motivate him to start working out as well! He might overexert himself at first, though. He wants to look cool and strong in front of you, so make sure to take him aside and reassure him about the true value of a good workout. It's not about exhausting yourself, it's about improving both your physical and mental health without hurting yourself, as well as spending some quality time together!

Zen.

Zen will be SO excited to learn about your cheerleading, he's literally vibrating with pure joy as he's listening to you talk. Think of all the workouts you could do together! He could help you on improving your stage presence, and you could help him with his dance moves for his plays. You two were practically made to be! Needless to say, your teammates will lose their minds the first time he visits you at one of your practices. But, his eyes are only on you. It feels like a dream when he sees you perform. It's not even about your tricks and dancing... (although he's certainly admiring you with pure awe in his eyes). No, it's about seeing this fire of passion in your eyes as you make just the right move or learn to perform a new trick. He knows that look all too well, and seeing it on you fills his heart with pure happiness. He will run down the bleachers and lift you up in his arms once you're done with your routine. Doesn't matter if you're embarrassed, nobody will say a word to you, since you two look way too adorable to be mad at.

Jaehee

Jaehee's reaction will be pretty mild, but you can see sparkles of interest in her eyes as she listens to you with a warm smile on her face. She will surprise you at one of your practices, bringing with her a fulfilling lunch along with your favorite drink she made for you herself! You won't even notice she's there until she taps you on your shoulder once you're done with your routine. She won't be loud or jumpy about it, but you can see her face light up with excitement as she talks about how elegant and beautiful you looked. She will make you blush senseless without even trying to flirt! With some time, your teammates will come to absolutely love her, and she's often invited to your team's outings. She's a bit embarrassed to train with you... since cheerleading is a rather graceful sport, and she's anxious about standing out or not looking pretty enough. But, secretly, she does want to try... So, it's up to you to grab her hands and reassure her that she'd make a wonderful cheerleader! You two will start with small steps, but she may pick up cheerleading as a hobby on the side thanks to you.

Jumin

Jumin will be calm and composed about this information right up until the moment he sees you in your uniform for the first time. You never saw him this flustered before! He's red in the face, stumbling over his own words and clearing his throat constantly like a crushing teenager. It's so adorable that you can't resist the desire to tease him a little. From then on, he can and will postpone his work meetings to visit your performances. You can try and reassure him that there's nothing bad about missing a performance or two, but he is stubborn when he wants to be. He watches you train and perform with the softest of smiles on his face. You're the only thing he sees, and there's not a single doubt about it. Jumin will wait for you on the sidelines with a gift after you're done performing and celebrating. He'll pull you into a warm kiss, whispering his words of admiration on your lips. It's easy to just melt into his arms, feeling safer than you've ever felt before.

Saeyoung

Saeyoung is literally your biggest fan. He is the type to be the embarrassing supportive boyfriend who creates full-on posters and pompoms to bring with him to your training sessions. He screams the loudest out of everyone, practically jumping up and down as you're just beginning to stretch before training. If you're a bit overwhelmed with that kind of support, he will lay off it without a second thought, though! Your comfort is the most important thing to him, so whether you get all giddy and giggly by seeing him chanting your name up on the bleachers, or you just want see him watching you quietly, he will adapt to your needs accordingly. But what's definitely inevitable is him designing a cheer outfit for himself, and he will look absolutely fabulous in it. Be ready to train together with him, but it consists of 70% flirting and joking, and 30% actual training. You're not complaining, though. Not when you get to gawk at him in his pretty cheer outfit.

Jihyun

Jihyun will get so awestruck once you tell him about your cheerleading that it'll get kind of embarrassing for you. This man is an artist at heart, and that means he's notorious for finding a deep beauty in even the most ordinary of things. You may think that you're merely sharing your passion with him, but for Jihyun, it's about seeing your eyes come to life as you explain to him all of the details he may find interesting, and it's about his imagination painting a mental picture of your performance. Needless to say, he's eager to see you train or perform in action. It's a bit of a weird sight, though. His gaze is so focused, he almost looks kind of stern... But it's actually because he is trying to memorize all of your features, engraving them in his mind. Why? Well, that's because he is about to paint you, of course! It'll be his surprise on the first competition of yours that he will watch on the sidelines. Be ready to get absolutely bamboozled once he brings out a huge canvas with a grin so wide, he's practically glowing like the sun itself. Jihyun may not understand much about sports and he may not join you in your workouts, but he will find a way to support you in his own artistic way!

Saeran

Saeran... Well, Saeran already knows, dear! He's a bit embarrassed to admit it, but Ray has spent many hours watching you perform or scrolling through the photos from your cheer practice throughout the years of your progress. It made him admire you so much. You looked free as a bird, especially during your high jumps. Ray didn't realize that back then, but watching you perform with such grace in your movements made him long to know what it might feel like to be just as free as you... if only for a moment. Though, after you escape from Magenta, Saeran will not bring this up out of respect. You'll tell him when you're ready, and he's more than happy to learn more about your passion, but this time, out of your own lips instead of reading stuff on the internet. Saeran is the type to completely zone out of reality when he watches you train or perform. It's almost funny since he can get so enamored by you, he won't notice some kid tripping over his feet or a passerby spilling their popcorn all over him. It's rare to see him this distracted, especially by something good! Saeran will also offer his help with your hair and makeup before your big performance. It makes him feel so giddy to help you prepare for your big moment like he's putting a tiny part of himself into this. Watch him get all blushy and giddy once your teammates compliment your new look and you tell them about your wonderful boyfriend!

Once again that day, she was nervously fixing her hair and examining her new dress. She hoped Jihyun would like it. She felt nervous and determined at the same time.

Smoothing out the tiny wrinkles in the fabric, she tried to gather her courage and form the right words in her head. It felt like ages before she made her decision.

Now, however, quite calm, she entered the cafe with a smile on her face, searching for blue hair. She wanted to have it all over with.

To her surprise, a blond-haired woman was sitting next to the tall photographer.

— I'm Rika. — The stranger held out her hand.

The woman accepted it hesitantly.

She had to resign that day but she believed that she would still find an opportunity to confess her feelings.

[Reader] was intoxicated. She definitely overdid the wine. From time to time, her loud laughter could be heard in Jumin's apartment, scaring away Elizabeth The 3rd.

— I have a toast to propose — V announced, rising solemnly from the couch.

The woman was sure that nothing could spoil her good mood that evening.

— Rika and I are engaged.

She almost spilled the red liquid on the carpet.

— Congratulations! — Jumin nodded.

There was no denying that the head of C&R accepted it with his typical stoic calm. Perhaps he had been anticipating this moment for some time.

[Reader] stared blankly into her glass, trying to digest the information once again. Her head was buzzing and putting her thoughts together was very difficult. Therefore, pretending to be enthusiastic was rather bad.

It started with an innocent tear rolling down my cheek. But before she knew it, she was roaring loudly, sniffling. She didn't look pretty at all, being drunk and snotty. Fortunately, the photographer handed her some tissues from the nearest table. He was afraid that if the woman started reaching for them herself, she would end up falling.

— Everything's all right?

Something inside her screamed to lie to his face. She couldn't imagine telling him the truth. In the current situation, her confession would only complicate their relationship.

— It is okay. I just fell apart because — she took a ragged breath — I'm still alone. Don't get me wrong, Jihyun. I'm very happy but I'm just a little envious of you.

She blew her chance a long time ago.

— I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen. — She got up. — I'll go fix my mascara, it's probably smudged. — She staggered towards the bathroom.

She glanced in the mirror, realizing she hadn't brought her makeup bag.

— My excuse sucks — she muttered. — I didn't even wear make-up today...

The woman couldn't stop her hands from shaking as she searched through the vast purse.

It felt like everyone passing her in the park was laughing at her lack of self-control.

Staring at the smartphone screen, she dialed Yoosung's number. She knew that if she looked at V, her efforts would be in vain.

— [Reader]-ah, don't call him.

— How? How can I hide all this from him? Can you hear yourself? Haven't you seen him suffer?

It hadn't been long since she found out that the photographer was going blind because of Rika. Meanwhile, she learned more secrets. Her friend's would-be fiancée did not commit suicide and intended to found a religious cult. As if that wasn't enough, she used Saeran — Luciel's brother — for this purpose. Almost no one at RFA knew of its existence.

Jihyun reached for the phone but did not disconnect the call. He placed his hand on her shoulder, as he did when calming others down.

— I know he's been through a lot but think how dangerous it is for everyone in the organization. The very fact that you found out carries a risk.

— You wouldn't have told me anything if you didn't need my help — she said reproachfully. — How will you manage to keep it all a secret? They will hate you...

— Noona, nice of you to call. — The voice suddenly came over the loudspeaker.

She carelessly looked up at her broken friend and knew that she would not be brave enough to tell the truth to the youngest member of the organization.

— Sorry, I dialed the wrong number. — She laughed as much as she could. — We'll talk another time. — She pressed the red button.

She didn't know what she should say or do. It was hard to find the right words, especially after being asked to be discreet. She also couldn't imagine physically trying to penetrate Magenta like V wanted to do.

His love was enormous but unhealthy and destructive.

Everything was complicated.

— I'll help you. — She hugged the man. — Just promise, no more secrets.

— We're drinking wine again, again in the same apartment, again on the same couch…— [Reader] said, sipping the dark red liquid.

She felt her melancholic mood take over.

— It's just a pity that our group has become smaller — added Jumin, gently stroking the snow-white cat.

The woman tried to remember the times when the photographer actually took part in meetings. However, it seemed very distant. Especially when she realized that at this point he was probably hanging around a cult among mentally ill people. As if it wasn't enough that he was losing his sight.

— Holy shit, I'm worried about him — she blurted out, knowing there was nothing more she could say.

— I ask you to refrain from saying such words in front of Elizabeth The 3rd.

— You're right, I'm sorry. — She sighed, finishing her glass.

[Reader] managed to get used to the idea that Jihyun Kim's love will never be hers. Ironically, that was when death took him completely from her life.

— V was always consistent and reliable. He was my role model — Jaehee said.

— He was a good friend, teacher and mirror of truth — Jumin said.

— A warm, honest person who gave me a new family — Zen added.

Everything said in the past tense. As if they needed to be reminded emphatically that he was not with them.

But isn't that what funerals are for?

— I hated him... but I forgive him — Yoosung said.

She wanted to shout the truth to the youngest member of RFA. She wanted to tell him loudly and clearly that Jihyun did not commit suicide and that Rika was to blame for everything. After all, not directly but she was the one who killed him.

But she didn't say anything. She had no right to make him suffer any more.

— Don't be lonely there. Don't try to save anyone. Live selfishly. — Saeyoung raised his eyes upwards.

Maybe as a Baptist he has already seen a photographer in another place?

— Goodbye, V.

— I will never forgive you for leaving alone.

— Excuse me for a moment.

— Yoosung?

— I think he needs some time to himself. Let's leave him.

— People love, hate, kill... and then love again.

— Don't play philosopher again. I feel like my brain is failing.

— Are you sure we can leave Yoosung alone?

— He'll be fine. I know how he feels.

[Reader] heard the entire conversation but was unable to match the sentences to the people. She still had the feeling that the funeral was somewhere beyond her consciousness. It takes place but soon life will return to normal and she will see Jihyun surrounded by his friends again.

She moved away from the mourners, heading towards the blonde.

— Rika-noona... You'll get cold standing here. You're really not going to say anything now? I should be happy that you're still alive, and yet... I feel so strange when you don't say anything. Everything is going wrong. I would never have thought... that V would commit suicide. When I see all this, it's so hard to hold back my tears. I hated him but now I'm not sure about anything. God, Rika, say something. Do you think V really loved you? Did he really love and try to protect us?

[Reader] glanced at the woman's unnaturally calm face.

— Sun... — A quiet, strange voice, not fitting for its owner.

— Could you repeat it? — the boy asked, confused.

— Sun.

— What are you talking about...

— I kept my promise V. I'm here — Rika whispered, her eyes sparkling with joy.

[Reader] sat alone by the large window in the almost empty apartment.

The corkscrew and bottle lay sadly next to her.

Drinking alone had never seemed pleasant to her.

Seoul was just welcoming the first day of spring. The woman thought that the event coincided perfectly with her moving out. The company managed to collect all the boxes and furniture and she said to goodbyes to all RFA members. A perfect time to start over.

She focused on the flowers behind the glass. There was no wind outside and yet for a moment it seemed to her that the daffodils were bending.

— Cheers to you... if you're really up there... and to my life... because without you it's so hard to live. — She raised her glass.

Jumin, Zen and Jihyun see the reader casually hanging out with their ex!

I hope I did this okay, thank you for the request! If you don't like anything, tell me and I'll rewrite it~! I didn't have that many ideas but I tried!^^

-Jumin doesn't really mind if you have an ex and you hang out with them as long as you are okay. He didn't have much of a reaction when you told him about your previous lover.

-If you ever introduced him to your friend, he would be polite and kinda try to see what kind of person they are. He tends to observe people around him now that he has gotten better at expressing emotions and trying new things thanks to you so he would try to be friendly with your ex.

-If he ever got around to hanging out sometimes with your ex, the two would be talking about their favorite things. Jumin would slowly warm up more and try to have fun with casual conversations and more. He wouldn't mind if he kept you two company.

-But overall, he wouldn't mind at all as long as you are happy and everything seems well. But the moment something goes wrong, he is there to help you out with absolutely anything. He loves you and wants the absolute best for you.

-Honestly, even if Zen does playfully pout at first, if he sees that you are having fun, he genuinely won't mind if you are hanging out with your ex. Just give him some extra kisses when you return home~!

-Zen is a guy who will try to get along with everyone and is quite friendly so he'll probably be friends with your ex. He'd talk a lot about musicals and if your ex ever needed help, Zen wouldn't mind helping them.

-He would also be curious to see what kind of person your previous partner was. He doesn't like any kind of drama and would keep things friendly between him and your ex. He'd like to warm up and hang out with your ex, too. Any of your friends is his friends too.

-He genuinely doesn't care that you casually hang out with your ex as long as everything seems okay. But be careful! Zen would pick you up and nuzzle his face on yours if he needs your affection since he missed you a lot when you were out.

-Jihyun is very understanding. He is actually happy that things between you two went well. Like the other two, Jihyun doesn't mind at all, he is glad that everything is well with you and your ex and are friends now.

-He is definitely the type to try and hang out with your ex, at least sometimes. He is very polite and like Jumin, he is more open thanks to you. He wants to let other people in his life now that he has healed enough and he wouldn't mind keeping you and your ex company.

-He likes to show them his old photos and talk about paintings, (even his cactus..!!) and just try to learn their internets and have a lot of discussions about them, now that he has the time to enjoy his life. He definitely seems brighter than the first time you saw Jihyun.

-So he really won't mind as long as you are okay and happy with it. He would be friends with your ex but if they seem off, he'll talk to you about it and if they do something, Jihyun's arms are always open to hold you close to him. But if things are normal, then he is okay, too!

Saeyoung pays close attention to you, and when he notices that you like something (even if it’s only a passive interest), he’s quick to indulge you in it. Any snacks or drinks you’re particularly fond of will always be available as long as you’re with him, and any hobbies you pick up, he’s more than willing to learn at least the basics in order to follow along with discussions. His keen eye and proclivity for gathering information also serve him well in the gift-giving department, and any time a special occasion rolls around, Saeyoung is sure to knock it out of the park.

Saeran tends to be an actions over words type of lover, feeling much more in his element when he’s able to soothe you down or show affection through actions rather than sweet nothings. He can be a bit over-protective; ready and willing to go to bat for you at any time, and giving you constant (and sweetly gruff) reminders to be careful when you do things that could land you in hot water. He’s always there to lend you a hand and is quick to come to your aid if he thinks you might need it.

Jaehee is beyond respectful of your time, —still asking you out on dates and planning them to the T when you’ve been together seriously for months. She doesn’t like to assume that you’re free, even when she knows that to be the case, and is sure to check in with you before setting anything up. Even so, she has her own way of adding in little elements of surprise! Since opening her cafe, she’s put many blends up on the menu simply because you said it was delicious whilst taste-testing her experiments, and has also learned how to cook your favorite meals to perfection just for you.

There are pieces of you in everything Jihyun does from the very moment he falls for you until the end of time. You are his most precious muse for all things related to his art, the sun reflecting off his melancholic moon when he questions his own abilities. He carries your love with the deepest of thanks and gratitude, allowing that affection to drive him forward to capture masterpieces on the horizon. He also not-so-secretly has a photo album filled to the brim with pictures of you in your everyday life, because to him, you are angelic whether you’re jotting down little notes on a post-it or fixing your hair in the bathroom mirror.
