MUSE QUESTIONS : ACCEPTING !
Tumblr media
say  if  your  muse  was  in  silent  hill  ,  a  mystical  town  that  shows  it’s  visitors  physical  manifestations  of  their  own  demons  -  what  would  they  see  ?
do  they  talk  to  themself  /  objects  /  the  walls  ?  how  come  ?
sim, especialmente pra se chamar atenção ou tentar decidir alguma coisa complicada. mas ele não fala com objetos ou com as paredes, normalmente quando ele está falando sozinho ou ele está falando consigo mesmo ou ele está realizando alguma prece.
does  your  muse  want  to  make  a  lasting  impact  on  the  world  ,  or  would  they  prefer  for  their  life  to  fade  away  into  obscurity  ?

A Tango With The Villain
!!WARNINGS!!: Strictly WLW, Dirty Flirting, Perverse Gestures/Comments, I WILL use google translate for phrases but it may not be 100% correct so I’ll put what it’s intended as next to it in Brackets(these things —> []).
!CHARACTERS!: Karla Martinez(OC), Valeria Garza, Juan, Carlos, Andreas(thugs that I named cuz I’m too lazy to find names of her thugs), and the Bartender.
The club was bustling with activity. Loud music blaring and colorful lights flying around the room. The bar was busy.
Most of the women wore simple, revealing clothes to attract the men who mostly wore a simple T-Shirt and jeans. Valeria sat in her private booth with her men standing guard by it.
She was waiting for someone.
Valeria was dressed in a black vest suit and a red button up dress shirt. Intending to match outfits with the person she was waiting for. Checking her phone for the thousandth time, she sighed in frustration. She snapped at one of her men. He leaned in to receive his orders. “Carlos, tráeme un whisky; con hielo.[Carlos, get me a whiskey; on the rocks.]” The man nodded and went to the bar. Ordering her whiskey.
Valeria checked her phone again and threw it down on the table impatiently. She ran a hand through her hair. “¿Dónde estás, mi llama?[Where are you, my flame?]” She mumbled to herself frustratedly. She’d told Karla to get ready half an hour before she was expected to leave. So where the hell was she?
It was about 15 minutes later when Karla finally arrived, much to Valeria’s frustration. But not her disappointment. When Karla finally came to the booth, Valeria got to see Karla in all her glory. Standing at a height of 5’1”(without heels). Her long, wavy black hair frames her face, cascading down her back and curled slightly at the ends—just barely enough for it to look natural. Karla's warm, caramel-toned skin practically glowing with how the club lights bounced off it, and her expressive dark brown eyes convey a look of warmth and love for Valeria.
Valeria eyed Karla up and down, shifting invitingly as she licked her lips upon seeing how Karla’s skin fitted cocktail dress that faded from red to black on the bottom of the dress accentuated some… attributes of her body. Karla was wearing the matching red high heels to the dress—though they wouldn’t stay on long before she switched to red and black sneakers so the dress didn’t drag too much.
“You look good, durazno.[peach.]” Valeria commented as Karla sat beside her. “Gracias, mi amor.[Thank you, my love.]” Karla said before adding “You look good too, no doubt we’ll turn some heads tonight.” Karla chuckled. Valeria just grinned and put her hand on Karla’s thigh and softly rubbed with her thumb. “Margarita, ¿verdad mi alma?[right my soul?]” Valeria asked, Karla simply nodded and Valeria snapped her fingers, one of her men going to get said Margarita for Karla. A few minutes later he returned and gave Karla her Margarita. “Gracias, Juan.[Thank you, Juan.]” Karla said as she took a sip.
A few drinks later, Karla dragged Valeria onto the dance floor. Swaying her hips to the erotic Reggaeton music blaring in the club as Valeria chuckled and decided to dance with her. Though, it was an understatement to say Valeria’s hands simply wandered. They had aim, Karla knew that as soon as she felt Valeria’s hand possessively still on her thighs to keep her close as she danced to the music. Whispering dirty yet sweet nothings into Karla’s ear as they dance together.
As the night went on Valeria’s touches became more possessive. At some point she dragged Karla into her lap and buried her face in Karla’s neck as she practically devoured Karla’s neck and squeezed her breasts teasingly “Why can’t I just tare this dress off, ¿mi llama..?[my flame..?]” Valeria repeated in frustration every few minutes. Andreas, one of Valeria’s thugs, didn’t like the little noises he could unfortunately hear from the two women in their booth over the blaring music.
Later some more romantic music came on, and Karla dragged Valeria onto the dance floor. “Care for a dance, ¿mi amor?[my love?]” Karla grinned, Valeria chuckled and went with her. When the music for the tango came on Karla was glad she and Valeria took classes for it.
Valeria took Karla in her arms and they got ready to dance the tango. The second they started Valeria grabbed Karla’s ass VERY firmly. If you asked Karla, she would tell you Valeria was DEFINITELY drunk by that time. At the end of the tango, Valeria dipped Karla and held her there. Kissing her deeply before her lips wondered down Karla’s neck and to her breasts. “Let’s go home, mi alma…[my soul…]” Valeria murmured. Karla already knew what that meant, and eagerly agreed. Valeria signaled for her men to bring the car around and then she escorted Karla safely to it.

Billie Allen has been imprisoned on federal death row since 1998 for a murder he says he did not commit. Allen and his supporters say the case was tainted by misconduct, racial bias, and factual inaccuracies, including significant DNA discrepancies.
Allen’s team is now campaigning to push President Joe Biden to pardon Allen before Donald Trump is sworn in on January 20. The Appeal is publishing an excerpt from a graphic novel Allen recently wrote, which has been edited for clarity.
Sixty-one days remain until Trump takes office. For information about how to support Allen, visit www.freebillieallen.com.
It was the Summer of 2021, and I was lying in bed with my eyes closed, exhausted but unable to sleep. I’d just returned from a week-and-a-half-long hospital stay, where I’d received a blood transfusion and underwent surgery. I had hoped it would fix me—or at least give me a break from being in and out of the hospital every month because of the medical condition waging a war within my body for more than a decade.
I was still in pain from the surgery, but the pain wasn’t the reason why I was unable to sleep. While in the hospital trying to heal, I’d overheard them—my overseers, the correctional officers. I think they’d been intentionally having an animated conversation about how they had heard rumors from the prison’s executive staff that Trump’s henchman over the Department of Justice—William Barr and his staff—had been successful in the courts. Not only had new federal death warrants been signed, but new execution dates had been set as well.
I couldn’t help but take in what was being said because it affected me. I listened as they described how, only a few days beforehand, staff at the facility in which I’m incarcerated had conducted several mock executions at the death house where prisoners are killed. My overseers added that staff would soon come to the unit I’m housed in to do a mock drill for those who would receive a death date. The officers would run drills on how they would take the chosen from their cells to be read their death warrants by the warden. Staff would practice taking people to the death watch range, where prisoners are watched 24/7 on a camera to make sure they don’t kill themselves before the government can do so first. The condemned are then escorted from the death watch range to the death house in a restraint chair by the biggest officers within the prison, who would all be cloaked in dark clothing and ski masks to hide their identities.
Most of the time, it’s easy to ignore the rumors from officers or other prisoners. But the details that came with their story reminded me of the actions and protocols used in the executions of Timothy McVeigh, Juan Garza, and Louis Jones at the end of President George Bush’s term in office. So I knew in my gut that things were about to get real. And soon.
When my overseers in the hospital saw that my eyes were no longer closed, they then asked me whether or not I thought the executions would occur. Thanks to a moratorium President Barack Obama put in place, it had been over two decades since there had been a federal execution. The guards asked if I thought there would be enough time to carry out the rumored number of killings.
I didn’t respond to their questions. I had heard some of these same officers over the years talk about wanting executions to start back up and how they couldn’t wait for Trump to start killing people as soon as he took office. Some even went so far as to rank the top ten people they wanted killed first. Miserable bastards.
So I just laid there for the rest of the day. They talked about what they had heard, what they wanted done, and what they would do if those dates came. Eventually, the next shift of officers came on. But it seemed like the new overseers picked up where the first group left off. They peppered me with more questions, which I ignored.
The next day, only two days out of surgery and still in pain, I was told by the doctor that I was being sent back to prison, despite his suggestion that I stay a few days longer. After all this talk of execution, the thought that I was being discharged so soon after major surgery sent my mind wondering. I was out of appeals. One of those chosen could be me. Had they discharged me from the hospital just to give me an execution date?

Latina girl core/ Mexican fairy core/ Catholic core
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the title of this post suggests, what I will be describing is more of a trending aesthetic sensibility than a clearly identifiable hashtag such as #cottagecore or #darkacademia. I noticed the influence of Latin American Catholicism first in fashion in brands such as Mirror Palais and Willy Chavaria: both designers are latino and their Spring/Summer 2023 show took place in a Catholic church. On TikTok, the stylings associated with the above aesthetics often include long ruffled low-rise skirts paired with dainty crop tops, rosaries on neck or waist, white, cotton, two-piece maxi skirt ensembles, gold jewelry (particularly hoop earrings), and scarves and flowers as hair accessories. The visuals include catholic churches, crosses as wall decoration, white lace, warm-tones, and hair ribbons. Evidence for consolidating the tree aesthetics is the fact that these visuals appear when searching for either, hence if there is little to no aesthetic distinction between aesthetics what makes them different? I say not much. I was expecting to find a lot of controversy and accusations of cultural appropriation under the #latinacore and #mexicanfairycore, however most of the people who used them were latina. Most of the accusations of appropriation were made by non-latina white people under #catholicore. Oh the irony of catholics being angry about cultural appropriation when it's been the church’s favorite conversion tactic for centuries. I find the catholic angle of the aestheticization of latinamerican imagery very interesting since TikToks hashtagged #catholiccore use latinamerican cultural catholicism instead of a European catholicism. For example, in addition to Selmya Hayek and Danelia Garza, another ubiquitous latina in the aesthetic is the Virgin of Guadalupe. According to a legend written in Nahuatl, the image of the Virgin Mary appeared in 1531 to a Mexican man named Juan Diego and spoke to him in Nahuatl. The legend helped popularize catholicism amongst a resistant ethnically Aztec and Mayan Mexican population. I believe that Mexican catholicism is so aesthetically appealing because it is a mixture of indigenous and European catholic influences, hence it has the grandeur gothic European churches and the rich colors of Mexican life such as bright marigolds and painted skulls. Additionally, Gen Z is the least religious generation yet, and the visuals of Mexican catholicism offer the visual splendor of religion without the conservatism and shame.

Significant Jother Prelims!
The prelims for Jacket 4 will come in two waves after the winner’s bonus poll ends on Sunday, so get your votes in there.
First, there will be the prelims to decide between love interests for Johns/Jacks/Variants who had multiple submitted. There are eight of those matches, and they will be released throughout the day on Monday, July 10.
Then, there will be the prelims to decide which single nomination significant jothers will make the bracket. If a nomination was submitted multiple times as the only love interest, they are already in. There are 11 polls of four significant jothers, and the winner of each will make the bracket.
