Another day another zalgo edit another theory only this time I'm actually somewhat confident about it.

Obviously the "test failure" is a big mystery addition to the post and initially I thought it had to do with Schneep possibly doing tests on Jack or Anti in the past or perhaps the Egos Appreciation Weeks themselves being some sort of test.

Until I saw this

And something clicked.

JJ passed.....what did he pass? The Corruption

JJ is the only ego that passed Anti's test. Anti's corruption as he took over JJ during Halloween. Schneep, however, failed. He fought back during Jack's operation and pulled the headphone wires off of his neck. He failed. Or ,more accurately, Anti failed at taking over him.

I spent multiple days and hours Digitally painting all of these egos. I had so much fun with the entire process. Thanks also to everyone for the wonderful feedback on my work. Anti is a disco ball

Now, let me explain.

A disco ball is an object that reflects light directed at it in many directions, producing a complex display. Anti himself is constantly redirecting any sort of light we try to shine on him, creating a complex and distorted version of himself--the deranged, greenish glitch version; the orange, kjse version; the red, dark silence version; and the neutral, quit the game to win version. We can never get a good look at him--he's constantly shifting, misdirecting us. Not only that, but a discoball is fixed to the middle of a room--just as anti tells us, he's eternal. No matter what side he shows us, no matter which light he manipulates, he's a constant. People are known to lose track of time while they're around, as they alter your perceived reality. We know that time is broken, and anti is surely to follow.

Usually a disco ball is mounted well above the heads of people--just out of reach. Always there, always watching. But no matter how close we think we get, we can never get close enough to him.

One of anti's main grievances with us is that we've thrown him aside--replaced him. And disco balls were created in the 1920s, and have been on the decline in popularity in the last several years. People just dont use them anymore.

Disco balls are often the only light in the room, and once it goes out, everything goes dark. Whenever anti makes an appearance, he often turns out the lights, or messes with them in some way. He is the center of attention, and if you arent looking, he'll make sure you can't see. Case in point: chase brody. "Dark" silence, anyone? How he "cant see anything?"

Discoballs have been described as "the safest hallucinogenic around." And thats "probably why they've stuck around so long." They're "like a big voice in the sky, telling people to dance and forget about their problems." How many times have we heard anti giving us "suggestions", telling us that we're just "sitting there"--he wants us to dance. make like good puppets and dance

Articles claim that "when a room is filled with a good amount of haze [from a discoball], it creates the sense of being in outerspace." And what happens in outerspace? You're at the mercy of the void. You are no longer in control. One wrong footing, and its all over. Instead, the thing putting you there is in control--anti.

But the question remains: why are discoballs still surviving? For most folks, its down to nostalgia. We simply wont let them die. Almost how we insisted anti existed before he actually did, and how we are constantly clamouring for more anti content--we wont let him die. We need more. Its like we're addicted to the safest hallucinogenic drug. "Disco balls remind everyone of a ... simpler and purer time," 2016. When anti made his first appearance. Where all we were concerned about was the mysterious being himself--not the entangling lore surrounding our other egos. Disco balls fill our rooms with just enough light to dance to. We like to dance--any new information given to us, and we "dance" like mad, theorizing, searching, decoding. No matter what happens, we know that "the disco ball will always be there for us." Always there. Always watching. You cant look away.

Mirrors have a tendency to be really appealing to humans. And if you put a bunch of em on a circling sphere, and shine a little light on it--boom. We can't take our eyes (crossed: off the screen) away. Not only that, but disco balls are often used as a complex symbol. A metaphor for community, escapism.. witnessing. And whats one thing anti always does when he shows up? Unites the comminuty. He's a witness for everything we do. The theories, the analyzing--he's constantly there. Always there. "The mirror ball would always reflect the energy of the room," so when we're active and restless, so is anti. Hence the actions taken in mayhem 2018. We were so ready for him to show up after a few hints--and he granted our wish.

And yet, disco balls do not merely reflect light. They have "catalyzed a new notion of social sphere, creating a flux of people, shaping them into tightly knit, and mobile masses.. they describe a provisional social ecology." So basically, anti has created a space, where many people gather... (the discord)

"Clubs are often essential to for people to experiment and try on different identities, personalities,... personae." So not only is anti a disco ball, but he resides somewhere where it is common to try out new personalities, identities, and personas. Almost like... other.. alter egos... and none of them would exist without anti. Without the disco ball.

"The disco ball becomes a symbolic part of that space, creating hallucinatory image of these huddles masses of people moving as one on the dance floor." Anti is a part of our community, he is the one who forces us to jump through hoops for him--creating masses of people following his lead.

Anti's got a strange fascination with control. He's always claiming that he's "in control" now, and why would that be? "A disco ball that cannot spin seen during the day is a forlorn sight." Anti needs to be in control--he's terrified of what will happen to him if he isnt.

And what about his most hated enemy? Fucking circles. Wouldnt you be tired of them if you were constantly spinning in them? Forced to entertain? Constantly in the spotlight?

I leave you with an excerpt from a poem in an art exhibition featuring disco balls:

"Above them all is a silent observer

The moon hanging heavy in the sky

Slowly spinning, reflecting back to us,

bearing witness to it all."

Always there. Always watching.

Lil theory: ego weeks are us murdering the egos INDIRECTLY. So you know how people believe anti is an ai? And how us talking about him fuels him? What if thats somewhat true? What if... Anti is connected to the channel? To this COMMUNITY? what if us talking about him fuels him and us talking about other egos is us giving him power over them. By the end, on anti's ego week... He's gonna be the only one left.

@therealjacksepticeye On June 6th, I started drawing this in Krita. It is now June 28th, and I am finally done. Behold! Jackaboy Man is complete. I have never felt more accomplished for getting a digital painting done ever. Hope you all enjoy.

I understand your point. It can be frustrating when we expend our energy ruthlessly solving a clue to just get "youcantlookaway". I get that. But consider this:

1. Sean's never run an arg before. I couldn't tell you if he's partaken in one, either. But he does play a lot of video games, and the basis for any good story is the setup. Now, this is the second cipher we've seen while the discord server has been active, right? The first one was a while ago, i can't quite recall. That was a tester one. Make sure things work. The point of the second cipher, today's, i believe was for those who were just let through the gates into the server from twitter. Some of them may have never played an arg, or used a cipher, or were even looking that closely the first time. I think it was a bit of a heads up to those thousands of new people that hey, we're getting ready for something big here.

2. Sean might not know exactly where he's going yet, and he probably feels like he's "letting us down" (even though he's absolutely not) because of all the hints in recent series, the allusions, the glitches, the discord server activity--but nothing actually happening because of it. I think he's close to, if not ready now, for something, but at the time of filming, maybe not.

And sure, neither of these 2 things are excuses, but they are potential reasons as to why we havent gotten a piece of anything substantial. I dont think sean derives pleausre from just seeing us run in circles and not get anywhere--i do however think he does get some fun out of messing with us though. But he's not deliberately dangling the carrot in front of our nose and taking it away. Tiles are falling into place. We're getting somewhere, we just havent been given the go signal yet.

(This next bit is just a reminder for everyone, not @ anyone in particular)

Look, i get the unrest. But how many of us were screaming that we'd be okay if it took a long time to get ego content? And so sean sprinkles a few puzzles for us to keep us busy while he sorts things out, and we cant even be a bit patient. Yes, its taken a while to get new looks at the egos, but writing things takes a while. Especially from scratch. Especially trying to tie a superhero, magician, depressed dad, doctor, silent film actor, and unknown-glitch demon together in a way that satisfies people.

I, personally, am just fine with the pacing thats happening. Do i wish we could uncover something huge? Of course! Always! But if its not huge, i'm okay with that. Because the huge is coming.

Sorry, i know a lot of you are frustrated and i get it. But i also dont want sean to see this and feel like he just has to put out content he's not content with, or feel guilty for not getting there yet.

We can hold on folks! It'll be okay. In the meantime, i highly suggest getting comfy with those ciphers, cause i feel like there's a lot more to come!

I sound like a broken record, but it really feels like we’re going in circles.

Crack Theorizing time

So after the chaos of the whiteboard message which translated to this:

I came up with some theories!

Now, I know some of these sound more interesting than others but while everyone is on board the "anti is totally some entity that feeds on attention and has latched onto Jack and Jack's channel like a parasite" theory....I want to bring Marvin into the mess.

I'm still not entirely confident in the whole "the egos are taking turns running Jack's channel" idea so I'm still unsure about Marvin and his role/goal. In all the interactions of him, so far, he seems mysterious and powerful. He is the only ego that has supernatural powers. He was the only one calm during the discord ego bot situation. He seemed more...aware.

As I mentioned, the message being from Marvin is possible because 1. He's running the channel time to time and 2. He's a magician, and as a magician, he would distract the audience with something to focus on while performing a magic trick.

A lot of fans have already painted him as a possible villain but I think he's more of an anti hero in the situation that the egos are right now. Perhaps he has his own desires. Maybe not as serious as "taking over the channel" but definitely something similar to anti's need of attention.

Think about it

Anti may be some tulpa or zalgo entity that thrives off of attention. But Marvin.... He's a magician! He entertains! Thats his thing! Maybe the reason he's helping out with the channel is because he likes being noticed. Maybe this is what leads to him wanting more.

Consider this: Marvin runs Jack's channel a bit. Marvin realizes the potential. Marvin works with anti on taking over the channel. Marvin has other intentions. Marvin uses supernatural powers to defeat anti, showing off his powers and ending up saving the channel AND putting on a show like the magician he is.

But it may just be..... a trick.

I have a THEORY!!!

Okay so this might sounds weird or very headcannon-y but here's my theory:

Chase and Anti are brothers

NOW I know it already sounds like a reach and honestly I'll label it as a crack theory myself but stick with me.

I got inspired by this artwork by @graphic-hawk

And it made me think "What if Chase sees Anti as a monster just because of substance abuse and depression?"

Now of course that can't be entirely true when you consider that Anti has been shown to be a crazy motherfucker to the audience (us)

But consider the"Jack is in a coma" scenario and the idea that he has been replaced.....

by Chase.

And we see things from his perspective. He despises Anti because his kids would rather spend time with their uncle than their father (maybe Stacy wanted some glitchy dick who knows) but I like the idea that Anti is just shielding Chase's kids from seeing their father fall apart. But Chase, being drunk and delusional, sees Anti as a demon, taking his kids away.

Of course there are still plot holes and gaps in this theory but I liked the idea okay?
