i found ur bucky series on ao3 today and am already almost done and let me just say…. THE MOURNING PERIOD HAS BEGUN ALREADY. like im not even done the series and i already feel like my life is going to end when i read all the chapters that are out so far LOL.

i am beyond floored with the amazing work youve done 😭😭 your world building is actually insane im so convinced that u were around in the 30s-40s like its the only explanation. you are actually so so so knowledgeable about it all and it makes the series so real im kind of emotional thinking about it now. like your dialogue and the way u describe nyc is INCREDIBLE like i can tell how much love and care and thought u poured into this series and i cant even believe u are doing this for free LOL.

this ask is already so long and i have not even begun to talk abt the characterization omg!!!!!! you literally know these characters Inside and Out and it SHOWS!!!!!!!! i genuinely feel like ive watched them grow up they are my little babies 😭😭❤️❤️ this series has literally every single trope ive ever enjoyed (childhood best friends that are idiots in LOVE + slow burn so crazy it makes u want to cry + unrequited love thats not actually unrequited) …… i need to inject this into my VEINS. i cant even thank u enough for writing this and trust i will be seated for all of the chapters in the future. thank u so so so much you are an incredible writer

I would just like to say, I have been on Tumblr dot com for LEGITIMATELY fifteen years and this is the first time someone has ask-messaged me to compliment fanfiction I have written, so I am extremely flattered??? I don't really talk about the writing what is the equivalent of a novel's worth of fanfiction on this blog, but suffice it to say that I put a lot of research and manhours into it and I am so glad that it resonates with folks in such a way. imma gonna say it. mike wheeler is allowed to be a bitch to will one (1) time in s5. and i need it to be in front of joyce, who has only ever known mike as the boy who slept on will’s floor, followed him and nearly died at the lab, cared for him, and loved him so gently his entire life. i need joyce to take will aside, ask him what happened. what changed. i need will to give a noncommittal answer. i need joyce to then corner mike and ask him, in the kindest but most direct way possible, why he stopped loving her son. i need mike to misunderstand, to think she knows. i need him to tell her everything. i need him to break down and for her to hold him and tell him it’s going to be okay. i need joyce byers to give mike wheeler the courage to to love her son freely

Joyce is such a fascinating character to me cause she feels so... defeated? In a way that feels at the same time distinct and very similar to Harry. I think the reality lowdown sometimes gets written off as being manipulative, and maybe there's an element of that, but she's also self-aware and vulnerable in a way I can't imagine a woman in her position would ever be with Harry. And she seems genuinely sad about how everything turned out; she wants to be forgiven by Harry, and if you do, she doesn't feel like she deserves that forgiveness anyways. She's intelligent, and aware of history in a way that real world CEO and economic leader types rarely, if ever, openly admit. She openly regrets the way all that history played out, and it's so fascinating to me that she chose her idealogy and career while knowing and internalizing so many emotions about the revolution. She wanted them to succeed; but she's a survivor, first and foremost.

There's so many characters I wish we would ever get to see more of, but at least for me, Joyce seems like a character I'd really love to learn more about her past. Especially with how she talks about Cindy, it makes me feel like she had a revolutionary streak when she was younger; I doubt it was lost in any way that wasn't boring, life washing away her edges until all that remained was what we see in the game. Maybe it'd make her less interesting to learn more about her, but she's one of the most fascinating characters in the game to me, in a game filled with some of the most interesting and thought provoking characters I've seen in the medium.
