I know people talk about this all the time but it really is so adorable how the only people in the shed are Hopper for protection, Will's literal family members, and Mike.

Nobody even questioned Mike being there. They all know just how important he is to Will and that he would be able to help bring him back.

I know it's for dramatic effect because Mike's the one who really got through to Will (which is a whole other thing) but I'd also like to think that Joyce and Jonathan also purposefully allowed Mike to go last with his memory because they somehow knew it would be the strongest one to Will.

It's just really adorable how it seems to be understood just how special their bond is, even by Will's family.
