sooo i have an wip series incoming and just wanted to test the waters

“do you guys ever get tired of reading these?” sue quirked a blonde brow, flipping through the magazines. “look at ‘em, susie?,” ben let out a long sigh, rubbing his overly calloused finger to his temple. sue looked up to be faced by a disgusting sight. johnny gripped your exposed thigh that spilled out of the slit of your hand-stitched designer dress, gripping you closer— the contrast between his veiny hand and the silk of the deep cetacean blue were the perfect combination. your lips meshed together without any sign of discernment— nor quieting with both your ceaseless moans, whilst both of you freely roam each others bodies.

johnny pulled back, causing an airy whine to leave your lips. he flashed ben his signature cocky smile— that could make panties fall and fists clench white— that plastered across his lips, “c’mon pebbles! it’s called passion, and i am an passionate lover. ain’t that right, princess?” giving his lips a quick lick, savoring your vanilla-bean lipgloss

“you have your moments” you rolled your eyes with an amused smirk, gaining a squeeze on your thigh— still lounging comfortably on his lap. you readily had your compact mirror in hand, checking for any misconstructions in your makeup. everything seemed fine still, but it didn’t hurt to apply more gloss since your giddy casanova wanted to show his passion for you so hungrily

“and to answer your question sue, we’re stars. it’s nothin’ if we get into the mags every once in a while” you shrugged, swiping your lips with the tube skillfully. a bad headline wasn’t nothing to you and johnny, you two had plenty of more good deals to outsell the bad press. he snapped his finger, agreeing immediately with your explanation. “exactly! it’s—“

“still doesn’t excuse the fact you got caught with two victoria secret models” you side-eyed him, moving your thigh and crossing your legs. to say johnny’s a cheater would— how’d he said it? ‘scorned his pride’; he claims he’s an empath… who happens to get caught up in the moment sometimes. yeah right, empath yo’ ass

“I’ll tell you my deepest, darkest secret,” Johnny said softly.

Peter hesitated. He couldn’t imagine Johnny having any secrets - he was so bright and honest, shining like sunshine. He certainly couldn’t imagine him having any dark secrets. Not like Peter, with his secret identity. But still, he was tempted. The desperate desire to have one single other soul besides himself know the truth. The unshakable certainty that he could trust Johnny. A growing curiosity about what Johnny might consider to be a deep, dark secret. 

Johnny was looking at him, still and hopeful at his silence. “A secret no-one else knows, not even the Four,” Johnny continued, knowing he had a chance.

A secret for a secret.

“Tell me,” Peter said, “and I’ll consider telling you.”

“That’s not fair,” Johnny said. “I have a public identity. If you tell everyone my secret it could ruin everything we’ve built. If you tell me your identity, I probably won’t even know who you are.”

Johnny had a point. Still Peter stalled. “I don’t even know what you consider an equivalent secret,” he said, though he was worried by Johnny’s assertion that it could ruin the Fantastic Four. Had he killed someone? “For all I know, you might be talking about forgetting to feed the inter dimensional cat and blaming it on the Thing.”

Johnny huffed. He looked tense, and Peter knew it was something bigger than that. He was about to relent, when Johnny started talking.

“When we first got our powers, Reed went on and on about how we had to show the world that we were heroes, we were good guys, and that we were just normal people. He and Sue were just a normal couple, in love, planning a wedding, they just had superpowers and fought bad guys. That Ben, underneath his rocky exterior, is still just a guy from Yancy Street - he’s still human. That I was just a normal teenage boy who sometimes struggled with school and dated pretty girls.” He looked Peter dead in the eye. “And all I could think was that I hadn’t managed to tell them yet that I wasn’t… that I was…” he swallowed. “That I was gay.”

Peter processed this. Johnny looked so nervous, so uncertain, and all he knew was that Johnny shouldn’t ever look like that. Johnny should be glowing and sparkling. A radiant sun.

He yanked his mask off without ceremony. It was a fair trade.

“My name’s Peter Parker, I’m from Queens.”

And then they fall in love and bonk. Probably before the bonking Johnny helps protect Peter’s secret identity, and Peter tries to help Johnny publicly date girls/listens to him crushing on guys (before finally realising that the reason he hates the entire charade is because he wants to date Johnny himself, damn it).

Just a sudden idea that came into my head like five minutes ago and I thought I’d get it down. Maybe I’ll expand and write more, maybe not. I’ve got other WIPs that are higher priority.

"Peter used to think that superheroes were the coolest shit ever. Case in point: one of his best friends, Cindy Moon, was secretly Spider-Woman, the most kickass vigilante in New York. That was awesome. She put so much good into the universe, and he played a part in that—however small it seemed. Spider-Woman defended the innocent. She protected the people other superheroes flew over. She was, simply put, amazing. 

Then came the Fantastic Four. 

That in itself wasn’t an issue. The story of the Fantastic Four had swept the nation, and Peter along with it; Ben Grimm, Susan and Johnny Storm, and Reed Richards went up to space and came back changed. They’d been gifted with incredible powers and had wasted no time in moving into the Baxter Building and creating their own superhero team. The public was calling them the first ever superhero family. They’d gained the people’s adoration overnight, and as far as Peter could tell, they wouldn’t be losing it anytime soon. 

No, the Fantastic Four were objectively great. The problem was that one of their number had just transferred to Peter’s school. 

The problem was that Johnny Storm was infuriatingly cute."
