you had been going out with this guy named Jessie that you met at a fraternity party for about 3 weeks now and things were going great for you two.

you even got to meet some of his friends including his best friend Ethan.

Ethan wasn’t the chattiest guy but he did enjoy talking to you quite often.

He had told you all about his and Jessie’s friendship and how they grew up together and has been good friends for as long as he can remember.

Ethan was very sweet and overall a nice person to have around you almost wished you had met him first.

It was almost like he knew you from another life or something.

his jokes were so funny and always had a funny line to add to the conversation making it 10 times more funny.

you also couldn’t deny that the guy was really handsome, he has these big brown eyes and curly messy hair that would fall perfectly in front of his forehead.

It was another friday movie night in their dorm and everyone was snuggled up and chatting.

you and Jessie were cuddling while giggling uncontrollably.

Ethan on the other hand couldn’t have looked more serious, he was sitting there staring directly at you with an almost sad expression on his face.

little did you know that Ethan has had his eyes on you for quite a while now.

You and Ethan had econ together and he would sit there everyday 2 rows behind you and just stare at your flawless hair and extremely put together outfits.

it hurt him so much to sit there and just have to see the girl he’s completely and utterly in love with give someone else those lovey eyes.

when you and jessie started talking cute mid movie ethan groaned and marched over to his room.

you look up confused.

“hey what’s wrong with him?” you ask Jessie

“Ugh i don’t know, we’ve been good friends for a while but lately something’s changed and i don’t know what it is.”

“oh that’s weird, maybe you should talk to him about it Jess.” you suggest.

“yeah yeah i’ll do that later.”

for the rest of the night you zoned out thinking of Ethan’s behavior and why he was acting so weird all of a sudden.

Ethan has been ignoring you ever since that movie night 2 weeks ago.

He was never in class anymore and when you went over to Jessie’s he would either lock himself in his room or leave and only return well after midnight.

you really had no clue what had happened that day and why it left him so upset.

you had to talk to him, you had to know why he was acting the way he was acting.

so you came up with a plan.

you decided to tell Jess to meet you for coffee because you knew he would tell Ethan.

later that day when you were supposed to meet Jess at the coffee house you texted him and told him you’d be there in a minute.

you then turned your phone off and went to Ethan’s dorm.

you knocked on the door and Ethan opened it with a fed up attitude.

“What did you forget this time Jess-“

“oh! hi y/n” he said as his cheeks turned pink

“weren’t you supposed to meet Jess for coffee? like right now?” he asked

“Yeah, but I needed to talk to you and you were clearly avoiding me so I had to come up with a plan.” you declared

“oh okay well come in”

“what do you wanna talk about.” he questions

“why have you been acting that way”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about”

“Eth.. you’ve been avoiding me ever since movie night like a month ago, you stormed out of the leaving room and I haven’t seen you since.”

“i’ve been busy y/n.”

“ethan come on, just tell me the truth.”

he then hesitates for a second but decides to just tell you

“I get jealous when I see you two together.”

“what why- wait do you like Jess? are you gay?”

“WHAT? no im not gay, I don’t like Jessie.”

“then what are you jealous of?”

you freeze, how could you have been so oblivious?

“i’ve spent so much time in front of a mirror wondering what you don’t see in me, i’ve been funny and i’ve been cool with my lines. ain’t that the way love’s supposed to be?”

“eth.”

“I mean i’ve done it all, Jess treats you like shit and he barely tries.”

“you have no idea how crazy you drive me when you watch him with those eyes, the eyes i wish would watch me instead. And I just know you’re loving him with that body, the body i wish would be on top of me.” he adds

you both laugh, you’ve never been so happy.
