Just a little chub appreciation post. I'm a firm believer in all bodies are beautiful no matter the shape, size, composition, etc. As a personal preference, however, I have a bias towards guys (bc that's what I'm into) who have a little extra fluff. I love a soft, warm, cuddly teddy bear of a guy.
So as a chub enthusiast, some of my fave things are weight gain comparison photos, so here are just a few of my adorable teddy bear Michael from one season to another in some of his works... 🥰🧸😍
From skinny wiry Christian Hayden in The Secret Life of Us season 3, to Freshman 15-level starter belly Christian Hayden in The Secret Life of Us season 4. 🤏
From fit & slender only-eats-when-he's-stressed Joe Pickett in season 1, to well-fed chubby teddy bear Joe Pickett in season 2. 🧸🍪
From lean fit Gordo Stevens in For All Mankind season 1, to soft doughy pot-bellied Gordo Stevens in For All Mankind season 2. 🐷💙
I love every single one of these photos & his size in all of them. But I definitely lean more towards the photos on the right. There is just something so warm & cozy & inviting about a man who eats well & has the soft, cuddly bod to show for it. 💙🧸💙

DJO - END OF BEGINNING
youtube
Keeping up with TikTok pop while we still can...
[3.75]
Leah Isobel: I kind of want to be a hater about this. "Stranger Things star makes budget Ariel Pink pop about growing up, goes viral on TikTok" is an insufferable Mad Libs narrative pitch. The lyrics feel cryptic in a bad way, like Djo is aware that he's traveling well-trodden ground and straining to justify himself. And yet, his acting background comes through: his hammy Boris Pickett affectations lock him to the beat, keeping the song from feeling overly self-indulgent. It's still a little mushy, but that's not a crime. [5]
Nortey Dowuona: Djo has rightly seized on his captive audience in order to launch his pop rock career, but it thankfully hasn’t spiraled the way the Childish Gambino project did to the point where there are insufferable fans and detractors duking it out over its merits -- mainly because it’s too good to be dinged, but not good enough to be more than a popular actor’s passion project. Adam Thein’s limp drums, which have aged badly since 2022, can’t keep the overwhelming pace of the synth riffs or the lumpy bass left in the background of the mix. They support the toplines rather than drive the song, as many a baseline has done, but that then leaves the topline to hold everything up, which it constantly refuses to do. As for Joe Keery, he is no Childish Gambino before 2012. At least it’s short. [4]
Alfred Soto: The Stranger Things actor is too old by at least five years to have taken Twenty One Pilots seriously. [0]
TA Inskeep: Owl City 2024. [2]
Dave Moore: The verses are synth fetishism worthy of an awkward Stranger Things teen romance subplot (derogatory), followed by a pale imitation of a Sufjan Stevens chorus (complimentary). The ingredients sort of work on paper -- I am only human, which is to say a dork who was born in the '80s. But the song just sort of sits there, like it was designed to be vaguely apprehended floating through a pop-up beer garden. [5]
Taylor Alatorre: Are we just supposed to take these younger artists' word that their work is primarily inspired by genuine Nineteen-Eighties music, and not the phantasmal refractions of it that were being created between 2008 and 2015 (and beyond)? Because whatever points I take away for roteness and facelessness, I may give back for honesty. Anyway, check out Twin Shadow's new single "To the Top" if you get the chance. Sound of the summer. [4]
Katherine St. Asaph: This is by a Stranger Things actor and supposedly sounds like the '80s. What it actually sounds like is the driftier, understated parts of '90s alternative radio playlists. And as someone who owns the Carice van Houten album, I fully support TV folks making vanity albums that don't sound like what you'd think. [6]
Mark Sinker: He’s singing “tear to cry,” but I first heard it as “diddikai”, the Romani term for a traveler not fully Romani. Maybe you can make something of this – musician who fashions his artistic persona round not being the character he plays in a multi-season Netflix series! – but I’m not sure I sensibly can. The song is pretty and mannered and flimsy; he’s way not old enough to have the wisdom he thinks he has. [5]
Isabel Cole: "I wave goodbye to the end of beginning" is a great line, capturing the moment when you might not feel particularly like an adult but understand, suddenly, that until recently you were very young, and now you are something else. I do remember twenty-four! Unfortunately the actual song is a plodding, soupy nothing. [0]
Will Adams: When you've got an admittedly gorgeous arrangement of languid, synth-smeared indie-rock, the last thing you want to do is sound like a try-hard; and yet, Joe Keery's delivery of clipping every syllable makes "End of Beginning" almost embarrassing to listen to. [5]
Ian Mathers: There are some choices here I kind of like (mostly around the lyrics and vocals), but the guitar tone, the chiming synth sound, and something about the production overall feels instantly dated, like I'm already looking forward to me five years from now hearing this and going "yeah, a lot of shit sounded like that in 2024." [5]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: An absolute nothing of a song – but I know, deep in my heart, that if I had encountered this as a college freshman it would have absolutely rocked my shit. Keery is seven years too late for me, but I'm glad this exists for those who need it. Will I still feel this warmly towards this mediocrity if I have to hear it out in the world for the next year or so? Well, that's not my problem right now. [4]

How long is Joe Pickett Season 3 going to last?
The captivating neo-western, “Joe Pickett,” enthralled audiences for two seasons. It chronicled the adventures of a dedicated game warden. He worked amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Yellowstone National Park. Based on C.J. Box’s acclaimed novels, the series garnered a stellar 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This solidified its place as one of television’s finest contemporary westerns. Whispers of cancellation swirled around Joe Pickett Season 3 after its Season 2 finale. Fans yearned for more tales of the warden.
Joe Pickett Season 3 Cancellation Confirms
Despite widespread critical acclaim, “Joe Pickett” met its official demise in October 2023, as confirmed by a report from TVLine. This news came as a gut punch to fans. Over the summer, Paramount+ was unclear. They briefly called the Season 2 finale the “series finale,” without officially canceling it. A Paramount spokesperson acknowledged the lack of renewal news at the time. However, they refrained from explicitly confirming the show’s conclusion.
Why Was “Joe Pickett” Fired?
The precise reason behind “Joe Pickett’s” cancellation remains shrouded in mystery. Some speculate that its transition from Spectrum Originals to Paramount+ might have played a role. The show’s initial platform might not have translated seamlessly to the broader audience. Paramount+ requires this for renewal. Additionally, the series’ niche genre was critically lauded. However, this may have limited its reach and viewership, failing to meet the platform’s desired metrics for a third season.
A Look at What Would Have Happened to Joe Pickett Season 3 Plot Lines
The official cancellation of “Joe Pickett” stings. The show’s rich narrative tapestry leaves ample room for speculation. Fans wonder what a potential Season 3 could have held. The first two seasons meticulously adapted C.J. Box’s debut novel, “Open Season.” Therefore, the logical progression would be to delve into Box’s second book, “Savage Run.” This thrilling entry revolves around the death of an environmentalist near Yellowstone. Joe Pickett relentlessly pursues the truth.
Furthermore, the vast treasure trove of 14 “Joe Pickett” novels by C.J. Box offers a smorgasbord of potential storylines for future seasons. Each book presents a unique case, rife with suspense and intrigue, begging for adaptation. Moreover, Season 2 left several dangling plot threads that could have been masterfully woven into a captivating Season 3. The enigmatic Mark V is a clandestine assassin organization. It remains shrouded in secrecy. Their leader, Nemecek, lurks in the shadows. A potential Season 3 could have finally unmasked this elusive figure. This would set the stage for a season of explosive confrontations and thrilling revelations.
Might “Joe Pickett” Make a Comeback From the Grave?
The official cancellation of “Joe Pickett” undoubtedly dampens the spirits of its devoted fanbase. However, a glimmer of hope remains. The show’s near-universal critical acclaim and passionate fan following cannot be ignored. Many beloved television shows have defied cancellation.......... Read More

Bullfrog Joy
December 15, 2023
Good Morning! Nine more days till Christmas. Seven more days till family is here. Gonna take a break from Bullfrog Joy to just relax and enjoy. I don’t even need any snow this year. The November snow was enough!!! I am loving this sunshine in December.
Funny joyful story, at least to me. Yesterday was my day to help serve a Christmas lunch at Macomb High School. At first I felt really weird being in the school that is such a rival to my Titans, but it was OK. I didn’t tell anyone! Thought about wearing my Titan sweatshirt but decided that might not be in good taste. Anyway, the project went fine though I spilled a bit of taco meat in my trunk. (easy cleanup because the mat comes out!) After the lunch, I decided I needed a Diet Coke for the drive home. Thought about Casey’s, but I didn’t have my refill cup. Decided on McDonalds. I went inside, saw a sign that said 1.00 and ordered. Then she said, “That will be 1.99.” What??? OK, the sign said buy one, get one for 1.00. I looked at her, decided it was too much to spend on a Coke I probably shouldn’t be drinking any way, and left. She gave me a pretty weird look.
Good for me, right? Well, I drove past Ayrco where the sign advertised 32 oz. drink for a dollar. More my style! I went in…only Pepsi products. Doesn’t matter, I was really thirsty and this was a deal. It tasted sooooo good! Not gonna switch to Pepsi for good, but for a deal, I can do it!
My day ended yesterday with the last two episodes of Joe Pickett on Paramount +. I read the entire book series by C. J. Box last year, at least 20 books. They are so good, easy to read, great stories, great characters. I love Joe Pickett. I even like Nate Romanowski, who often saves Joe’s life, though he doesn’t have as much loyalty to the law as Joe does, and he occasionally rips the bad guy’s ear off. The series is really nothing like the book, but it was still fun. Season number 2 tried to incorporate three books into 10 shows. Joe is pretty much how I pictured him. Nate is so different from the book, but I began to like him a little better. I am ready for the next season!
Pretty selfish joys, huh? I have lots of things to get done in the next few days to be ready for family to show up, but sometimes we just need to “chill” a little bit and take care of ourselves. The things that we need to do will eventually get done, even if I have to stay up a little later. The house will look good, the presents will all be wrapped and the food will get prepared. (the Christmas cards might go out after Christmas…oops!) There are still eight more days.
Let’s just enjoy this season of Christmas. Go see some Christmas lights. Go out for ice cream. Call someone you haven’t talked to in a while. Go for a walk in this wonderful December weather. Jan rode his bike to the farm today. I walked outside. I have a friend who has pledged to walk outside every day in December. If the weather stays like this she will fulfill her pledge!
So my friends, let’s work at being joyful during the next couple of week. Sometimes I am sure it won’t be easy. Other times the laughter will be loud. When I think of Mary and Joseph having a baby outside in a barn, I wonder how they did it. Want to try celebrating Jesus’ birthday outside? So thankful for my home, even if it doesn’t quite meet the white glove inspection.
So slow down a little my friends. Make some lists, cross things off as you get them done.
Jesus is the reason for the season, the reason for the joy. “Joy to the World! All the boys and girls now. Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea. Joy to you and me.” Sing it out!!! I dare you! And “Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let Earth receive her king!” Merry Christmas! See you next year!

Playing ‘Righteous’ Games, Pride Coverage on Hulu, ‘Joe Pickett’ on the Hunt, Keyshia Cole’s Musical Story Will the not-so-holy Righteous Gemstones of HBO’s bawdy comedy green-light their uncle’s biblical game show? Hulu presents coverage from Pride Weekend events across the country. Crime-solving game warden Joe Pickett has his hands full when Wyoming’s governor shuts down hunting season. Lifetime presents a musical biopic profiling R&B star Keyshia Cole, who stars in and produces the movie. Ryan Green/HBOThe Righteous GemstonesSUNDAY: In case you were worried because Baby Billy Freeman, the gospel-warbling has-been so hilariously played by Walton Goggins, was missing from last week’s two-episode premiere, rest easy. That ridiculous clown is front and center in this week’s over-the-top outing. Frustrated by his new gig singing poolside at the Zion’s Landing resort, he decides to pitch a new Bible-themed quiz show (Family Feud should check its copyright) to the venal Gemstone sibs now running the televangelic empire. He hopes to convince them with a test run on a raucous “Cousins Night” dinner, where the Gemstones face off with their shaggy Montgomery cousins (Lukas Haas and Robert Oberst), and as usual, all hell breaks loose. Paramount+Joe PickettSUNDAY: Real men aren’t afraid to break down after bad things happen in this superior neo-Western crime drama based on C.J. Box’s excellent best-sellers. Which is why it’s refreshing and not surprising when game warden Joe (the superbly understated Michael Dorman) turns to wife Marybeth (Julianna Guill) for solace after the trauma of the latest fatal shooting in the woods. There’s not much down time, though, after all of Saddlestring erupts when Wyoming’s governor shuts down hunting season until the crimes are solved. In less traumatic news, Joe’s avaricious mother-in-law Missy (scene-stealing Sharon Lawrence) sets her sights on a new romantic conquest. He’d better have deep pockets. LifetimeKeyshia Cole: This Is My StorySATURDAY: As part of the network’s celebration of Black Music Month, Grammy-nominated R&B singer and reality-TV star Keyshia Cole stars and executive produces her very own biopic. The film explores her roots in Oakland—she was once a backup singer for MC Hammer—and charts her rise in the industry to platinum status for albums like The Way It Is. Debbi Morgan (All My Children) co-stars as her mother. PRIDE WEEKEND: (Saturday, 8/7c; Sunday, 11 am/ET, Hulu): The streamer offers live coverage of Pride Weekend events through the weekend, starting Saturday with the 45th anniversary of Houston’s Pride parade, which typically draws 750,000 spectators. Personalities from Houston’s ABC13 are the hosts. Sunday’s “Pride Across America” coverage, from ABC News Live, features five hours of footage (including an hourlong pre-show) from parades in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. GMA weekend co-anchor Gio Benitez, GMA3 co-anchor Eva Pilgrim and chief meteorologist Ginger Zee are among the news stars anchoring the colorful events. INSIDE WEEKEND TV: Make Me a Match (Saturday, 8/7c, Hallmark Channel): Working at a struggling matchmaking app hasn’t done much for the love life of Vivi (When Calls the Heart’s Eva Bourne), so she consults an Indian matchmaker (Battlestar Galactica’s Rekha Sharma) who just happens to have an eligible son (Rushi Kota). Love & Marriage: Detroit (Saturday, 9/8c, OWN): The reality franchise sets up shop in the “Comeback City,” where three married couples work through their relationship issues. 1883 (Sunday, 8/7c, Paramount Network): No surprise that the linear premiere of the Yellowstone prequel is drawing a sizable audience. In the third chapter, a river crossing presents a new challenge to the combative wagon train, while Elsa (Isabel May) only has eyes for cowboy Ennis (Eric Nelsen). From (Sunday, 9/8c, MGM+): In the horror series’ Season 2 finale, a mysterious new threat targets the town no one can leave, causing Sheriff Boyd (Harold Perinneau) even more concern than usual. A neighbor’s discovery reignites the residents’ hope of escape-but at what cost? Mini Reni (Sunday, 9/8c, Magnolia Network; streaming on Max and discovery+): In a half-hour special, Joanna Gaines and her team of renovators take on three rooms in a home past its prime, with a week’s deadline and a $15,000 budget. Endeavour (Sunday, 9/8c, PBS): In the penultimate episode of the Inspector Morse prequel, Endeavour (Shaun Evans) and Thursday (Roger Allam) are peeved by the presence of a fictional detective TV series filming in town, complicating their investigations into a uniformed officer’s murder and mayhem caused by local college students. The Walking Dead: Dead City (Sunday, 9/8c, AMC): Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) meet some potential allies who have somehow thrived in an overrun Manhattan—but will no doubt be lucky to survive hanging out with this death-defying duo.
