It was a typical Monday, you were hanging out with your stupid boyfriend also known as J.You from TOO. Dating him was like dating a 4 year old. He needed you at every time of the day, that’s also why he always send you messages when you aren’t together.

But you loved him regardless even though you never told him that. But right now you two were in the kitchen making food. Well at least you were and he was having a dance party next to you. You looked at him while making his food. When you ere done you put it on a plate and walked to him. He immediately stopped dancing and sat down to eat the food. You giggled at him. He tried to  wink at you. “Ew babe never do that again.” You said while laughing “ah come on. I just tried to be cool for you.” “You are already my boyfriend you don’t have to try anymore.” He giggled with food in his mouth.

After this you decided to watch some tv. You were getting kind of bored but Jeyou seemed to like what you were watching. You decided to poke his cheek. “Ya Y/N.” He said but kept his focus on the tv. At the lack of affection you started tickling him. When you were done you ran away and he ran after you. You two ran around the dorm like crazy people. Jeyou was really trying his best to capture you. You ran into his room jumping around a pair of shoes that was on the ground. Jeyou on the other hand didn’t see them so when he ran into the room he tripped over them.

chihoon is the lazy type. not in the sense that he’s not productive or anything like that, he can just be a little slow to get up in the morning. because of this, wake-up kisses wouldn’t be too effective. all you’d earn was a few soft grunts as if to say “leave me alone, i’m sleeping”. generally though, kisses with chihoon would be quick and sweet (especially if you were in public since he isn’t much for pda). when the two of you get intimate, chihoon’s kisses are still very chaste and you’re often the one who takes the lead. chihoon’s favorite place to kiss you is on your nose.

i remember the day that i woke up with a splitting headache and some guy’s thoughts in my head. his voice was nice, but damn he thought a lot. i know that at some point this would happen to my soulmate and i. but i didn’t know it would happen so early. 

“i should talk to chihoon about a new collab song.” who’s chihoon? what song? he’s a singer? i took a deep breath because i wanted to say something too. but his thoughts were over taking mine.

“yo! will you stop thinking for a second? i can’t think because of you.” i rolled my eyes walking down the stairs to drink some cold water. he had so many ideas and they never stopped.

“who are you?” his voice. i will never shut up about my soulmate’s voice. i mean his thoughts were loud, but he has the best voice. i could shut my thoughts ip forever just to listen to him. yeah yeah, privacy and all but those privacy boundaries were all gone when we were born in this generation.

“i guess your soulmate?” i giggled then pulled out my phone scrolling through my my instagram. i wanted to know everything about him. so of course for the next few days, we just talked everyday. we got to know each other through our thoughts, and i loved it. he was so sweet. 

“y/n! have you found your soulmate? nevermind. have you heard this song?” my best friend grabbed my hand to sit down. she then put her airpod into my ear giggling. this voice, was really familiar. i pulled the airpod out of my ear then snapped my head over to my best friend.

“i’m going to film something now i’ll talk to you later?” the second his thought finished, i started pouting then ran to the change room. i changed into shorts and sports bra, then taped my hands with boxing tape. i put my gloves on walked into the gym. i hit the punching bag a thousand times even i lost count. while i was going off at the punching bag, he kept thinking of cute things like oh she’s so cute or something totally unrelated.

“fucking asshole.”  i kept punching and repeating that in my head. over and over again. i don’t know why i was so pissed off. it’s not like we were dating. i haven’t even seen him.

“guess what!! i got tickets to TOO’s showcase!” my best friend sat next to me and shoved her phone into my face showing me the tickets. i grabbed her hand pulling it away so i could read it. i told her i’d go with her only if she bought me albums. so of course, a day before the show, we went to the store and she bought me a stack of albums.

you’d have a lot of small ones instead, littered all over your body

he’d love finding new tattoos on your body

he was still a minor, so he couldn’t get tattoos of his own

which also meant that he couldn’t go to the tattoo parlor with you

that sucked.

because in reality, you can’t handle the pain of getting a tattoo on your own

usually you’d bring one of your friends with you, but this time you had to go alone

and god did not have mercy on you

after enduring almost two hours of pain, you’d be surprised to find jerome waiting outside the parlor for you

he was going to surprise you by taking you on a nice coffee date, since he knew that you were going alone today

but once he saw your teary eyes :(( his heart would break in half

he’d hold your face in his hands and ask if you were okay

you’d try and hide the pain, but he wouldn’t believe you

he’d kiss your forehead

“okay, change of plans: we’re going home and i’m gonna take care of you.”

once you arrive home, he’d make you sit on the couch while he brought all the blankets and pillows from the bedroom to the living room

he’d lay the blankets down on the floor and arrange the pillows around it

then he’d sit in the middle and pat the empty space between his legs, signalling for you to sit there

he’d wrap his arms and legs around you as if you were a giant teddy bear

and the two of you would watch a movie together, with you safe and sound in his embrace

There were so many aspects of being Cha Woonggi’s sister that you loved. There were the late night dance-offs and way too much karaoke. There was the way he could make you laugh like no one else could. There was the way his expressive eyes would light up when he saw you. 

And then there were nights like tonight. 

There were nights when you hated being Woonggi’s sister because you hated being responsible for him. And tonight, like many other Friday nights, Woonggi decided to go out with his gang of older friends and drink the night away at one of their houses. 

Woonggi has never been known for being able to hold his liquor. So when your little brother yells that he’s heading over to Chihoon’s house, you know it’s just a matter of hours before you get the phone call. It’s always the same, and always expected. But the surprising thing is how much you look forward to each call. 

Chanhyuk’s voice has a staticky-tinge to it, but it’s still deep and smooth. The way he whispers the words into the receiver has goosebumps poking up on your arms, even though his words couldn’t be farther from sexy. 

“He’s throwing up, again, Y/N.”

You sigh. “It’s your fault for getting him drunk.”

“Nope,” Chan tuts. “It’s Jeyou’s fault. I told him to stop after the 4th shot.”

“Jesus Christ, you’re all horrible.” Even though your voice is peppered with annoyance, you can’t find it within yourself to be all that annoyed. “Should I come pick him up?”

The boy on the other end of the line sighs in relief. “Yes, please.”

15 minutes later you find yourself starting your engine, finally ready to make the trek to rescue your brother. And if those 15 minutes were spent freshening up, fixing your hair, and spraying yourself with a quick spritz of perfume, then no one has to know. 

When you pull up to Chihoon’s house, you pop a quick mint into your mouth for...undisclosable reasons. You fluff your hair a few times, checking your makeup in your rear view mirror. Once you’re satisfied, you plaster on another layer of lip gloss, take a deep breath and exit the car. 

You have to ring the doorbell twice before you get an answer, but the tall, lean figure that greets you when the door finally does open is more than enough to make up for it. 

“Hey Y/N.”

“Hi Chan.”

The smile that the boy wears is dazzling, albeit a little tired. His black hair frames his face beautifully, hanging in strands in front of face, causing the boy to take his fingers through it repeatedly. The smile on his face is forgotten in favor of Chan biting his bottom lip, giving you a once over. Heat rises in the pit of your stomach. 

“How’s he doing?” You accompany your question with a cocked eyebrow, which seems to be enough to knock Chanhyuk out of his flirtatious stupor. 

The boy gestures you inside. “He’s okay. I think he’s done throwing up for now. He tried to take another shot, but Jaeyun stopped him...I think.”

The house is warm and inviting when you step in, the sounds of all of your brother’s friends threatening to burst your eardrums. You can distinctly hear Jisu, who is yelling at someone, most likely Kyungho. The rest of the voices blend together in a cacophony. The sound just makes you smile. Woonggi did always have the best friends. 

“Y/N’s here!” Chanhyuk calls over the noise. 

There’s a moment of silence before an entirely different noise erupts. Eight pairs of drunken feet bound towards you, trying to be the first to greet you. It’s Donggeon who makes it first, pulling you into a hug so tight that your feet leave the ground. The rest of the boys greet you similarly, pulling you into hugs and gushing about how much they missed you. Jisu, the greasy fucker that he is, even places a wet kiss on your cheek. 

You miss the way that Chanhyuk glares at the boy when you’re occupied with the rest. 

Once the commotion dies down, Minsu motions you over to the direction of your younger brother, who is face down on the kitchen counter. How he got up there is beyond you, but you’re better off not knowing. 

You poke your sibling on the shoulder, pleased when he lets out a deep groan in response. At least he’s alive. When you realize the extent of the state that he’s in, you sigh. There’s no way you’ll be able to get him to the car by yourself. 

Smirking, you turn back to the gaggle of boys, making sure to cock your hip enticingly. You let your voice fall into it’s synthetically sultry drawl, fully equipped with a pout, as you glance over each one of the boys. 

“I’m worried about getting him to the car, guys.” The boys hand on to every word. “Can I have some help? Please?”

Kyungho and Jeyou practically jump at the opportunity, working together to lift Woonggi’s frame off of the kitchen counter. The drunken boy mumbles and groans, but otherwise doesn’t protest being jostled. You smile when you realize that Kyungho and Jeyou will be fine in depositing your brother in the car, all without you having to lift a finger. 

You say a quick goodbye to the rest of the boys, preparing to head out once Kyungho and Jeyou return. The two do in record time, and you make sure to compliment them both on their strength on the way out. They both flush instantly. 

When Chanhyuk insists on walking you to your car, you smirk. You know exactly what he wants, and you’re more than happy to oblige. 

The two of you reach your car, seeing that Woonggi has been deposited safely in the back seat, dozing off. Chanhyuk smirks at the sight and takes the opportunity to pin you against the driver’s side of the car, hands securely placed on your hips. 

He claims your lips fiercely, almost instantly licking into your mouth passionately. You giggle into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck as he pulls you closer and closer. Chan is even better than you remember, warm and firm against your body, kissing you with everything he’s got. When the two of you finally part, Chanhyuk places a lingering kiss to the tip of your nose. 

“I missed you,” he breathes into the small space between your faces. “I can’t go this long without seeing you.”

“I’m sorry. Woonggi has been spending more time at home lately. You know I don’t want him to become suspicious.”

“I know, I know. Just, god, I really missed you.”

“I missed you too, babe.” You peck him on the lips firmly. “I’ll see you soon, okay?”

Chanhyuk looks reluctant to part, but eventually does after stealing another kiss. He watches silently as you get into your car and start the engine. You blow him a kiss through the window, which he cheekily catches and places over his heart. The action causes you to laugh as you finally pull away and drive off, reverting back to your life of secrecy as you leave Chanhyuk standing in the street, the brisk fall air whipping past his face.

It's the kind of question that insinuates that you're the one to receive the blame. You don't even need to hear your own words, or a direct accusation to understand that he's blaming you for something. Though you only receive half of the blame, the other half is now resting in Kim Jeyou's unworn shoes.

"Me?" You ask as you point at yourself. There is no one else that he could direct the words to. Six beds against the wall but no one around you, especially not Jeyou who coincidentally resides in one of the upper bunks.

In response to your incomprehension, Chan hums. It's not the sweet hum that could resemble a song, it's the short and strict hum that answers a bold "yes," to your question. The wordless response leaves you even more confused. But Chan isn't willing to connect the dots for you, you could figure it out on your own.

"Me?" You ask again, though it's just a pause so that you can briefly remember the previous hint Chan gave you. "Always being with Jeyou?" You finally finish the question.

And just like last time, Chan doesn't use words to give you an answer. It's a question that shouldn't even be asked, how can you not be aware of your actions? Whenever you're around at the dorms, it seems like you come for Jeyou rather than for him. Sometimes the two of you are in front of the tv, other times you help him monitor his performance, and there was even one time when the two of you went out for dinner.

The first few times, he thought it might be because you felt closest to him rather than other members. But those thoughts had transitioned when he came to find out you shared your midnight snack with Jeyou whilst he wasn't home. Something that Jerome had told him about accidentally in a ramble of how good the night had been! Eventually, it turned into jealousy: jealousy of the way you acted towards his younger member and perhaps of the amount of time you spent together.

"I don't always spend time with Jeyou." You calmly protest against Chan's silence, he didn't seem to budge at all after your question which leaves you to lead the conversation. But before you're able to explain yourself and your - apparently wrong - actions, Chan interrupts.

"You do! It's always Jeyou! And where am I, your boyfriend, Cho Chanhyuk?!"

His words are said loudly, his long lost feelings coming out in the form of a snap. You weren't even sure if he was capable of that as most arguments were calm with mutual understanding and respect. Something that now seems far from the case, and it disappoints you. Not to forget how you're disappointed because of his assumptions.

"You know why?" You calmly say but the high tone of your voice already gives away the underlying feelings. You want to be calm but as he loses his temper, you unconsciously start feeling the same way. "Because you're never home. You're always at the studio with Chihoon. So I come here to wait for you, but I hang around with the others because I'm bored. And Jeyou is just a good friend!"

After your short outburst, it gets quiet, neither of you says something. You can only hear your own breathing as you come down from the high, not the pleasured high, but the peak of your frustration. Chan is staring at you, and you know, even if you decided to break eye-contact.

"Is that an excuse?" The audacity. Chan even dares to ask that question whilst knowing that you're not the one to blame. "I go there to work on my music!" he says. If those first words asked you if you were making excuses, then he surely is by the time his mouth opens again. Working on music might be a good excuse, but that doesn't take away that it's still an excuse.

"Working on music is an excuse, Chanhyuk." You clarify. The sigh that leaves your lips is one out of disbelief and even Chan can notice the particles of negative emotions that now float in the air.

An excuse. The words linger towards Chan's mind and he can't help but realise the things that you're saying. Not only is working on music an excuse, but his entire existence as your boyfriend is also an excuse. From his jealousy, to never being home when you are around: excuses.

"You're right," Chan says after a few seconds of quietness. Though his mind was far from quiet during those seconds: all he could think of was him making endless excuses and making you feel like it was you who made them up. "I'm sorry for blaming you," his words are quiet but they get slightly louder as he approaches you. His hands reach out for yours the moment he is close enough, and you allow him to take them in his.

First, he couldn't stop blaming you, and now the apologies continue to fall from his lips. The second "I'm sorry," easily slips past his lips. And above underneath the grey-lavender coloured bangs, you can see his expressive brown eyes. It almost appears like he's apologising with them, showing you his compassion.

Chan tugs at both of your hands gently, pulling them until you have no other option but to wrap your arms around him before you fall. Within seconds, his arms engulf you tightly.

"I'll spend more time with you and I'll even take you to the studio. I promise I'll try to spend more time with you, starting today." He promises. He shifts his gaze to the right height to find your eyes, looking into them as soon as he finds them. He's careful, waiting until your reaction shows, he doesn't want to say anything wrong and have things take the worst turn again.

You believe him and it shows. Your eyes lighten up at the words, mostly because you're relieved that you don't misunderstand or blame each other. "And when you come home, I'll make sure to spend more time with you too." You say. Perhaps there was a bit of truth in Chan's words, you had been around Jeyou even when Chan was just in the room writing lyrics. Both of you made mistakes and, in the future, still would.

"It's all okay again," Chan whispers as he rests his forehead against yours, finding comfort in the embrace you share and the genuine words. You hum in response, the kind of hum of relief and perhaps even put of adoration. "I love you," he says to you.

As your foreheads separate, your lips connect in a kiss. A kiss out of love that you gladly share. His lips move slowly against yours, putting in all of the love the two of you had been missing out on for the past time.

"I love you too," you whisper in response, his lips curling up into a smile as he feels your heart on your lips as you say the words.

“chan do you want to introduce yourself first?” the mc said and i turned to look at the mc, then turned to look at the boys to see who was going to speak first. chan? isn’t that my soulmate’s name? but there’s a thousand of chan’s. bang chan, heo chan, and kang yuchan. but my soulmate won’t be an idol right?

“hey i’m chan!” he smiled brightly then winked after introducing himself. i looked up at him and my jaw dropped. i was shocked, my soulmate is cho chanhyuk of TOO? as the rest of the members introduced themselves i stared at him shocked. he kept glancing at me.

“c-chan?” i said into my head then made eye contact with him. i smiled at him then looked over at b/f/n. 

“that’s my name don’t wear it out princess.” he laughed and i responding laughing before taking a deep breath. i wanted to say something to chan, but at the same time i didn’t. i think i didn’t want to say anything was because i didn’t want to see where this relationship would go. he’s a rookie idol. 

“no you idiot, there’s a guy- wait. what color hair do you have right now?” that was something that i could tell if i was right. this question would tell me exactly if the chan in front of me was my chan. 

“silver. why?” i was shocked. what was i going to do next? i wanted to do something now. i guess my soulmate is in front of me so i have to do something.

“i’m going to try something. you told me there was a girl in front of you right? on the count of three, smile at her.” i said to him, then i took a deep breath because if i was right about this, then i had to make a move. i liked him, a lot.

“why? i mean yeah i’ve been looking at her for a while but-” he started but i rolled my eyes telling him to just do it because it was important for me. 

“one, two, three.” he smiled at me. i smiled back at him and his eyes widened. i was right. he’s my soulmate. cho chanhyuk is my soulmate. i waved at him smiling, then tears filled my eyes. i don’t know why, but i was so happy that i found him. 

“hi, i’m y/n, your soulmate.” i giggled and smiled winking at him. he smiled looking down at the ground. he was so adorable, the entire rest of the show, he didn’t stop looking at me, and neither did i. after the show, i was kinda upset the show was over, but i mean i guess the show can’t last forever.

“are you coming backstage?” chan had said and i laughed telling him no because i would get beaten up if i didn’t have an escort. he replied saying that he got it covered for my friend and i. so before we left, one of the security guards came up to me saying that chan told him to bring me backstage. it was a cliche love story yes, i know.

we were brought into a room that was bright, and had couches that were red in color. the two of us sat down on the couch then started talking about the fanmeet. after that, we took out our phones to look at the photos we had taken. 

“when i get to you, can i kiss you?” he laughed and i giggled at his comment telling him only if he’s lucky. as i waited, a thousand of different ways that we would meet went through my brain. 

“y/n, stop thinking about ways we’re gonna meet.” the door opened, chan was the first one to walk in, with the rest of the TOO boys following. i laughed blushing then stood up walking towards him. he put his arms around my waist while i put his arms around his neck. he swung me around in circles, and when he put me on the ground i turned to look at my best friend. 

“are you dating him?” she screeched, and came up to me pulling my arm. i rolled my eyes grabbing her hand.

“no. he’s my soulma-” i started the word, and she scoffed laughing. she pushed me rolling her eyes laughing nervously.

“you’re so full of shit.” she screamed at me but stopped in when she realized that the room was filled with all the TOO boys. i laughed at her then grabbed chan’s hand telling him we were going to prove it, and he could call the shots. 

“what should we do? oh okay. on the count of three do the point of our magnolia choreo. it’s the end pose.” he laughed and i nodded. he counted to three and we did the same thing. my best friend laughed finally agreeing that we were soulmates. 

“can i kiss you now?” chan turned to me putting his arms around my waist, then laughed pulling me close to him. i heard jaeyun tell the boys to cover their eyes while he walked over to woongi and jerome covering their eyes. 

“no.” i giggled and pressed my lips onto his. his lips tasted amazing. cherry lip balm. wait was that mine? 

“stop thinking for two seconds. i want to kiss you without you thinking about cherry lip balm.”
