Ohhh I have a lot
1. Hope lupin is a German jew. Her parents were murdered in concentration camps and they sent her at the last moment with the kindergarten transporter to Britain.
2.remus knows Yiddish, but he refused to learn Hebrew since he hadn't known any other Jewish ppl in his area, but when he came to Hogwarts and befriended lily she taught him.
3. Lily's grandparents are Israeli, and that's why they talk Hebrew as well.
