this is so random and im sorry if im bothering you, feel free not to respond, but what do you think about the timeline where mirajane joined fairy tail? was it before or after natsu, i know natsu joined after gray and erza for sure but i used to think it was also after mirajane. technically in canon mirajane joined AFTER natsu but i dunno the things i have seen in the first parts of the anime, it made it seem like mirajane came before natsu with her bullying him(kiiiind of) about igneel n' stuff so casually but later on it showed she was just really anti social(after the grand magic games arc)?? To be fair that might be an anime only problem. i really need to read the manga as well which i will do after i finish the anime.

no problem, I think she joined after Natsu but not by much. same year different month or maybe just a year apart. in my head the timeline goes

x769- cana joins at age 4

x771- laxus joins at age 11 (mother wouldn't let him before then)

x774- gray joins at age 9

x775 -erza joins at age 11

x776- levy joins at age 10, jett and droy join later in the year at ages 10 and 11

x777- natsu joins at age 11, mira joins at age 13+ elfman and lisanna who are 12 and 10

I think mira knew about igneel because natsu would tell anyone who would listen lol but I do think they joined pretty close together timeline wise

Why do we say 'cat got your tongue'?

Attempts to get to the bottom of this phrase have left many speechless, to which we must ask: what’s the matter, cat got your tongue? Here's the origin and meaning of this moggy musing

The phrase evokes a strange image, and you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking its origin is equally bizarre.

Some have suggested that ancient kings would punish those who displeased them by cutting out their tongues and feeding them to their pet cats. This grisly idea persists in the theory that the phrase came from a time of witch-hunting – where fear and hysteria abounded. Witches, as the stories go, could steal a person’s speech – sometimes by removing the tongue and feeding it to their ‘familiar’, or pet.

Or was it nothing to do with actual cats? Did it emerge on tall ships when sailors would fall silent at the threat of a whipping with a cat o’nine tails?

All these stories, however, have no evidence to support them. Surviving records of the expression do not go very far back in the past at all. Volume 53 of the US publication Ballou's Monthly Magazine, published in 1881, mentions the phrase as something many children say. It then appears in the 1911 novel Bob Hardwick by Henry Howard Harper.

There is a similar French saying – ‘je jette ma langue au chat’, which means ‘I throw my tongue to the cat’. Rather than berating someone for being silent, however, this is used to express something along the lines of ‘I have nothing to say’.

Unfortunately, ‘cat got your tongue’ sounds like it should have a good origin story, but if so, the explanation has been lost. Like children’s nursery rhymes or fairy tales, the phrase may just be a nonsensical invention.

Lorsque Natsu avoua ses sentiments à Juvia, il n’aurait jamais cru le faire de façon aussi impulsive. Bien sûr, il avait toujours été impulsif et il agissait toujours sans réfléchir. Mais cette fois, il voulait que se soit différent.

Lorsque Juvia et Gray avaient rompu, il avait décidé de passer du temps avec elle. Elle était triste et il voulait qu’elle aille mieux. Elle était son amie, comme n’importe quel membre de Fairy Tail et il n’aimait pas la voir ainsi. Au début, il voulait la voir arrêter de pleurer, ensuite il essayait de la faire sourire, puis la faire rire. Il avait réussi. Il avait fallu du temps, mais elle était à nouveau heureuse.

Natsu avait réalisé que plus il passait du temps avec elle, plus il voulait être près d’elle. Au début, il ne comprenait pas pourquoi. C’était la première fois qu’il ressentait ce genre de chose. Il n’avait jamais ressenti cela pour Lucy ou Lisanna. Il lui avait fallu du temps pour qu’il comprenne ce que ça voulait dire. En fait, il avait fallu qu’Happy lui dise en plaisantant : « C’est beau l’amourrr ! », pour qu’il réalise qu’il était amoureux de Juvia. Amoureux. Jamais il n’aurait cru que ça lui arriverait. Il n’était pas du genre à faire de grande déclaration romantique. Pourtant, il avait essayé de réfléchir à quelque chose de spécial pour Juvia. Il plongeait dans le vide en lui avouant ses sentiments. Il était son ami, mais est-ce qu’elle ressentait plus que de l’amitié ?

Natsu écarquilla les yeux, se rendant compte de ce qu’il venait de dire. Juvia l’avait fait rire en disant quelque chose de drôle, il ne se souvenait plus ce que c’était il avait eu comme un trou noir, et sans réfléchir il lui avait dit :

« Je t’aime. »

Juvia s’était figée, toute aussi surprise que lui. Qu’est-ce qui lui avait pris ? Pourquoi est-ce qu’il ne pouvait pas réfléchir pour une fois ? Qu’est-ce qu’il allait faire ? Elle l’avait entendu, alors c’était trop tard pour faire comme s’il n’avait rien dit.

« Je… Enfin… Ce n’est pas… Balbutia-t-il. »

Il ne savait plus quoi dire pour se rattraper. Juvia, elle, n’avait pas bougé d’un pouce. Il ne s’attendait pas à ce qu’elle se jette soudainement dans ses bras et l’embrasse. Natsu passa ses bras autour de sa taille et répondit à son baiser. Elle s’écarta légèrement.

« Juvia t’aime aussi. »

Un immense sourire illumina le visage de Natsu. Il approcha ses lèvres des siennes et l’embrassa à nouveau. Juvia l’aimait et c’était tout ce qui comptait.

De la Lumière au Ténèbres : Chapitre 10

I M P U I S S A N C E   E T  I N Q U I E T U D E

Les sorts s'enchaînent, les mages de Fairy Tail qui essuient combats sur combats commencent à sérieusement fatiguer. Alors que depuis leurs arrivés sur ces terres, ils ont du user de pas mal de magie pour se sortir des divers combats et pièges auxquels ils ont du faire face, voila qu'ils se retrouvent confrontés au maître de Balia. Cela ne semblait pas, en apparence, les effrayer et ils étaient prêts a en découdre pour prendre leurs revanches et venger ceux tombés au combat, mais les choses se montrent bien plus difficile qu'ils le pensaient. La guilde de Fairy Tail avait réussi a terrasser Oracion Seis, Grimoire Heart qui sont toutes les deux, deux grandes puissances de l'alliance Baram, ils pensaient que cette guilde noire serait de la même trempe. Mais ils se sont visiblement trompés, ils ont mal jugé l'adversaire qui est bien plus puissant. 

L'homme avait évoqué un monde parallèle, dans lequel il disait que ces disciples étaient bien plus puissant que ici, la lumière de leur monde jouait en leur défaveur. Mais en affrontant cet homme, ils se demandent vraiment si il a une faiblesse. Cet homme se tient droit et fièrement face aux membres de Fairy Tail, il semble surpuissant avec cet aura terrifiante qui l'entoure. Mais les mages d'une des guildes les plus puissante du pays de Fiore n'allait pas se laisser abattre. Lucy était restée en dehors de la salle de combat, dans les escaliers avec Happy qui devait la protéger, les autres mages encore aptes a se défendre et a se battre étaient eux entrer en action. Cependant, Juvia qui était déjà affaiblie par son sacrifice, tomba bien vite a cause de ses blessures. Quant aux autres mages, ils tentent tous ce qu'ils peuvent pour l'atteindre, mais Hury avait une défense impressionnante. 

Mais ce qui inquiéta d'avantage la mage de rang S c'est cette espèce de fatigue qui semblent les gagner de minutes en minutes. Ils s'épuisent alors qu'elle sait que ses camarades sont bien plus endurants en temps normal, qu'ils ne se laissent pas ainsi abattre, et que la force qu'ils peuvent accumuler grâce aux soutiens de leurs alliés leur permettaient à tous de créer des exploits possible, ne semblait pas être présente. Elle tente de trouver une explication a leur état, et la seule qu'elle puisse donner, c'est cette aura lourde et effroyable qui forme une sorte de voile noire autour d'eux. Cela pourrait très bien les affecter et diminuer la puissance de leurs magies respectives .... Si c'est le cas, ils n'auront aucune chance en ces lieux. 

Le mauvais pré-sentiment de Erza se confirme lorsque Natsu plein de hargne se jette sur le maître de Balia pour lui assigner un coup puissant et que ce dernier échoua dans sa tentative. Hury esquiva sans mal l'attaque du dragon slayer, et vient lui assigner un puissant coup le propulsant plus loin dans la salle. Cette impuissance rend fou de rage les mages de Fairy Tail qui tentent une attaque combinée, mais même cette dernière échoua...

De retour sur Magnolia, l'ambiance à la guilde était tendue, les membres qui furent renvoyés au quartier général par le maître étaient pleins de doutes. Pourquoi les a t-il empêché de porter secours au premier groupe ? Cela était incompréhensible pour eux. Makaroff leur avait simplement demandé de retourner a la guilde, Luxus lui était partis en éclaireur dans les environs. Mirajane tente d'avoir des explications suite a cette décision, mais tous ce que le maître a pu lui dire c'est qu'il senti une effroyable menace se diriger droit sur eux, et que pour vaincre cette menace ils avaient besoin d'eux ici et pas là bas. Le maître mise beaucoup sur le groupe de Natsu, il leur fait confiance et espère qu'ils vont bien s'en tirer, il ne veut pas croire à leur défaite, il sait que les membres sur place sont forts et qu'ils feront tous pour s'en sortir.  

De retour au manoir, le combat faisait toujours rage. Le maître de la guilde noir avait enfermé Elfman dans une sorte de bulle noir, personne ne savait ce qui se passait a l'intérieur mais on pouvait entendre des cris de douleurs retentir dans toute la salle, Grey essayé de le libérer par tous les moyens mais il n'y parvint pas. Natsu était a terre, Erza avait son armure du purgatoire qui était très endommagée, Kana suffoquait mais resté debout et Gajeel était gravement blessé au bras gauche. Kana sortit des cartes de sa sacoche et visa Natsu avec une attaque de feu, elle voulait lui redonner un peu d'énergie pour qu'il puisse au moins se relever. Cependant, tous ces efforts de la part des mages semblent vains, il est intouchable, aucunes attaques le n'a touché. C'est lors de se temps mort, que le maître de Balia décide de contre attaquer : "Vaga Darkness" un sorte de tourbillon sorti de sa main, il lança ce tourbillon  en direction de Gajeel et Erza qui étaient côte a côte, il arriva tellement vite que les deux mages ne put éviter. Ils tombèrent presque dans l'inconscience, L'armure de Titania disparut et la blessure de Gajeel s'était aggravée. Kana cria, Natsu était plus qu'en colère et Grey se retrouve prit au dépourvu face a la détresse de ses amis. Elfman fut libéré de la bulle noire lorsque ce dernier avait fini par succomber à la douleur, il s'écroula au sol comme ces autres camarades. Il ne restait debout que Grey, Natsu et Kana. C'est alors que la mage encore debout tenta le tout pour le tout.

« Oh Maître Fondateur, Donnez moi la force de protéger mes amis. Donnez moi le pouvoir de renvoyer les Ténèbres et de battre les cauchemars !....  »

Une lumière dorée vient envelopper le corps de la mage, le bras tendu en l'air une brèche dans le ciel sombre c'était formée pour venir toucher Kana d'un impression puis de lumière qui se concentra ensuite dans son bras droit. Un symbole apparaît alors sur le bras de la mage, le symbole de la guilde y apparaît alors, c'est a cet instant que les deux garçons encore conscients comprennent ce qu'elle tenta de faire. Natsu eut un expression rassurée en se disant que la magie protectrice de la fondatrice allait les sortir de ce mauvais pas.... Cependant Grey se mit a hurler que cela n'aurait aucun impacte maintenant vu l'état de la mage qui tente d'user d'une telle magie. Elle était faible, impuissante, en manque d'énergie magique et elle tentait d'user d'une magie aussi puissante que celle d'une des trois grandes puissances de Fairy tail ... 

Elle tendit son bras en direction de l'homme ennemi, comme un pistolet et tira, un cercle dorée sorti de son bras et alla entourer le maître noir il se referma sur lui et une immense explosion éclata, tous furent propulsés en arrière. Une fois la lumière dissipée, l'explosion avait crée un énorme nuage de poussière, Kana vacille et tente de regarder le succès de sa technique .... Mais tout ce qu'elle entend fut un ricanement grave.

Le maître de Balia semblait légèrement touché, des blessures superficielles. Cela anéanti les espoirs de la mage des cartes qui finit à son tour par succomber en s'écroulant au sol. La situation était plus que critique et les deux derniers mages encore debout se demandent vraiment comment ils vont faire pour s'en sortir. La seule solution qui s'offraient a eux serait de fuir, car Gadjeel semble être encore conscient malgré le faite qu'il ne puisse pas se relever directement. Chacun devrait faire un effort surhumain pour faire sortir leurs camarades de ce manoir et retourner a la guilde, car leurs forces leurs manquent, ils seront incapables de lutter contre Hury. La fuite était donc l'option proposée par Grey, mais évidemment, Le dragon slayer était une tête brûlée et il ne voulait pas fuir ainsi ! 

Du côté de Happy et Lucy, la mage blonde semble reprendre ses esprits en entendant autant de bruits. Ouvrant ses yeux, elle vit devant elle la petite boule de poils bleue qui lui faisait dos, il se rongeait les pattes inquiets de ce qui pouvait se passer en haut de ses marches. Des cris, des explosions, rien ne semblait se passer comme prévu... La mage stellaire prononce alors le nom de son camarade, et le chat se retourne surpris vers elle. Elle parvient a se redresser difficilement en se tenant au mur et regarde alors devant elle. Se demandant où elle était et se qui se passait, Happy l'informe de la situation. Comprenant ses camarades sont allés au combat seuls, elle s'inquiète pour eux. Lucy voulu alors les rejoindre, elle veut au moins aider en tant que soutien, elle sait qu'elle pouvait au moins faire apparaître un de ses esprits où si elle le veut, elle se relève alors difficilement et commence a gravir les quelques marches qui la sépare de la salle de combat. Happy tente de la retenir mais même lui était inquiet et suit alors sa camarade. 

Mais en arrivant en haut des marches, ils font face a cette porte explosée et une scène effroyable. Erza, Gadjeel, Kana, Juvia, Elfman ... Tous étaient au sol. Lucy écarquille ses yeux et Happy se met alors a hurler le nom de Natsu qui était actuellement entre les mains de Hury et Grey un genou a terre semble être lui aussi grièvement touché. Le mage de feu tourne son regard et vit a l'entrée de la salle la mage blonde et son fidèle ami. Il eut pour réflexe de leur crier de fuir, de partir vers la guilde le plus rapidement possible... Prit de panique Lucy ne bougea pas, mais Happy conscient de la situation attrape la mage stellaire a contre coeur et commence a s'envoler avec elle ... Hury en voyant alors Lucy s'enfuir balança au loin Natsu. La source du pouvoir qu'il convoite prend la suite. 

S'envolant aussi vite qu'il pouvait, Happy reste tapis dans le silence alors qu'il pleurait, fuir ainsi était inconcevable pour lui, il se trouvait lâche ... Llucy tente de le rassurer en lui disant qu'en fuyant ainsi ils pourraient d'avantage les aider. Volant aussi vite que ses ressources lui permettaient, le chat traverse la forêt enchantée avant d'arriver au dessus du village rapidement. Mais sa vitesse diminue petit à petit, Lucy le supplie de tenir bon, de continuer a voler, le chat ne voulait pas abandonner et puise réellement dans le fond de ses ressources pour ne rien lâcher. PDV (T/P)

    JE M'APPELLE (T/P),  je suis une mage de Fairy Tail depuis déjà un long moment et je maîtrise la magie du feu. Il n'y a pas longtemps le maître a accueilli deux nouveaux membres, Juvia Lockser et Gajeel Redfox. Ils étaient à Phantom Lord et ont essayé de nous tuer mais on a su leur pardonner, du moins la plupart. Juvia était quelqu'un d'assez gentille mais je n'avais pas encore eu le temps de la connaître suffisamment pour que l'on s'appelle ''amie''.  Gajeel, lui, était plus renfermé et ne parlait pas beaucoup. J'avais déjà essayé d'aller le voir à plusieurs reprises mais je m'étais faite remballer alors je ne m'y tentais plus et avais laissé tomber avec lui. Il ne devait sûrement pas être d'humeur à me parler.

    Après avoir passé une journée à la guilde à supporter Natsu et Grey en train de se disputer, j'ai décidé d'aller me promener au parc de Magnolia pour plus de tranquillité. Quand j'y suis arrivée, j'ai vu Luxus de dos.

    Mais qu'est-ce que Luxus fait ici ? Tout ça ne présage rien de bon mais, pour l'instant, je vais me contenter d'aller voir de plus près ce qu'il est en train de ce passé. Une fois que je suis assez près pour pouvoir comprendre ce qu'il se passe. Je vois Gajeel se faire envoyer contre un arbre et Luxus se rapproche de lui prêt à le frapper pendant que Jett, Droy et Reby se contentaient de regarder ce qu'il se passait. Il fallait que j'aide Gajeel alors je décide de courir et de me mettre entre Luxus et Gajeel.

    ❝━ Qu'est-ce que tu fous ici Luxus ? Je lui lance.

━ Pousse-toi (T/P), il fait honte à la guilde. Il faut lui donner une bonne leçon pour avoir osé ridiculiser Fairy Tail.

━ Dégage Luxus. Lui dis-je amèrement.❞

    Des flammes commençaient à se former autour de moi. S'il ne part pas maintenant je vais m'énerver.

    ❝━ Pfff... toi aussi tu es faible. Marmonna-t-il.❞

    Finalement, Luxus partit ne voulant sûrement pas passer plus de temps à se battre avec nous. Je me retourne et regarde Gajeel, il n'a pas l'air en forme.

    ❝━ Ça va ? Lui demandai-je

━ Ouais, merci. Dit-il de façon inaudible.

━ Je t'en prie. Lui souriais-je.❞

    Il se lève et part avec difficulté sans accepter mon aide pour le raccompagner. Je me retourne et lance un regard noir à Jett et Droy. Comment ont-ils pu regarder Luxus faire sans n'avoir rien dit ? Même s'ils ne l'aiment pas, ils ne pouvaient pas juste le regarder se faire tuer. Levy, quant à elle, me sourit chaleureusement pour me remercier d'avoir agi.

Le lendemain :

    Aujourd'hui, c'est le concours Miss Fairy Tail, Miirajne m'a harcelé pendant deux jours pour que j'y participe alors j'ai décidé d'accepter pour qu'elle arrête de m'embêter. 

    Le concours commence par Kanna puis de Juvia, suivi de Mirajane, d'Erza qui utilise son Requip pour se changer dans un costume Lolita gothique. La cinquième à passer est Levy ensuite Bisca qui se sert de son sniper pour frapper 4 pièces au milieu d'un seul coup. Après elle c'est mon tour, j'entre en scène et utilise ma magie pour me créer une robe en flammes. Je tourne un peu sur moi-même et j'entends des applaudissements. En remerciant le public, je croise le regard de Gajeel et lui sourit. Je sors de la scène, fière de moi mais je vois Mirajane pétrifiée. Ma joie se transforme en incompréhension. Je me retourne pour trouver les autres filles et je croise des yeux jaunes puis du noir. Evergreen, je suis sûr que c'est elle qui nous a transformés en pierre. Après avoir croisé Luxus hier, il n'y a plus aucun doute.

PDV Gajeel

    La robe de (T/P) est très jolie, j'ai bien aimé. Quand elle a terminé de tourner sur elle-même, j'ai évidemment applaudi puis j'ai croisé son regard et elle m'a souri. Elle est vraiment mignonne. La dernière candidate est Lucy mais elle est interrompue par une femme aux cheveux châtains, qui porte des lunettes et a une robe verte. Elle annonce que le concours est terminé parce qu'elle est la gagnante. La blague, ce n'est pas elle qui devrait gagner c'est plutôt (T/P). 

    J'entends les gens dire qu'elle s'appelle Evergreen et ils n'ont pas l'air très heureux de la voir. Lucy proteste mais malgré les avertissements de Grey, elle regarde cette femme dans les yeux et elle est transformée en pierre. Le rideau derrière elle se lève et on peut apercevoir toutes les candidates pétrifiées. 

    Luxus et sa troupe arrivent et il nous dit que la bataille de Fairy Tail est lancée. En temps normal, je m'en serai foutu mais là, il faut que j'aide (T/P), je lui dois bien pour hier. Je décide de courir vers la sortie mais je n'arrive pas à passer, on dirait qu'il y a un mur. Je regarde Makarof, confus, mais lui non plus n'a pas l'aire de comprendre. Natsu essaie aussi de sortir mais il ne peut pas passer. On dirait qu'on va rester ici jusqu'à ce que la bataille se termine. Désolé (T/P) je ne pourrais pas te sauver.

    Après un long moment d'ennui, Natsu décide d'essayer de réanimer Erza en faisant fondre la couche de pierre. Makarof et Happy, paniqués, lui disent que c'est impossible et qu'il ne devrait pas faire ça, car son corps est totalement pétrifié. Ignorant les ordres, il prit le corps pétrifié et enflamme ses mains. Miraculeusement, la statue se met à se fissurer et Erza reprend alors sa forme humaine. Elle peut sortir se battre et part à la recherche de Luxus. Un peu plus tard, on apprend qu'Erza a vaincu Evergreen et les filles sont libérées.

PDV (T/P)

    Je ne vois absolument rien, j'ai l'impression de dormir debout, c'est étrange. Je repense à hier, je ne sais pas ce qu'il m'a pris de m'interposer devant Luxus. En temps normal je n'aurai jamais fait ça, car Luxus, c'est Luxus quoi ! Il est trop fort, je me serais faite anéantir. Mais hier je n'ai pas accepté qu'il s'en prenne à Gajeel qui s'était déjà excusé plusieurs fois pour ce qu'il avait fait à Fairy Tail. Après de nombreuses minutes, j'ai ressenti une sensation étrange comme si quelque chose autour de moi se cassait. Quand j'ai ouvert les yeux, il y avait Nastu, Makarof, Happy et Gajeel qui me regardaient.

    Finalement, le maître nous explique tout ce qu'il s'était passé durant notre 'absence'. Et après ça, Gajeel s'approche de moi.

    ❝━ Je suis content que tu ailles bien, j'aurais bien voulu me battre pour te délivrer mais comme t'as expliqué le maître, je n'ai pas pu sortir.❞

    Il est tout rouge, c'est trop mignon. 

    Certaines des runes de Freed volent pour former un crâne. Luxus nous informe de l'activation du Thunder Palace et que si dans une heure et dix minutes nous ne le trouvons pas, d'innombrables éclairs s'abattront sur Magnolia. Bisca décide de sortir tirer sur l'un d'entre eux, mais une fois que le Lacrima est détruit toute la Puissance Magique canalisée dans le destroyer frappe Bisca.

    Levy nous dit qu'il est possible, en raison de la nature de sa magie, de briser les runes. Les filles partent mais je reste pour aider Levy car je m'y connais en runes moi aussi. Gajeel et Nastu commencent à se disputer et j'essaie de faire en sorte qu'ils se taisent pour que Levy puisse se concentrer. Finalement, elle réussit à briser le code de Freed et les garçons peuvent sortir. 

    Je cours de partout espérant trouver quelqu'un quand j'entends Warren, dans ma tête, qui m'explique que tous ceux qui sont encore conscients doivent détruire les Lacrima. Les mages commencent à se chamailler à propos des batailles précédentes et le temps commence à manquer. Lucy décide de prendre la parole et leur supplie d'unir leurs forces.

    Finalement, nous visons le ciel, déchaînons nos plus fortes attaques et finissons par détruire le Thunder Palace. Après que les Lacrima ont toutes étaient détruites nous sommes frappés en retour en raison du lien organique magique. Et c'est allongés et immobiles que nous nous demandons par télépathie si tout va bien. Étant épuisée, je m'endors espérant que Natsu et Gajeel réussiront à battre Luxus.

Le lendemain :

    J'ai appris que Nastu et Gajeel ont réussi à vaincre Luxus mais que durant la bataille le maître a fait une crise cardiaque j'espère qu'il va bien. Je me dépêche d'aller à la guilde et quand j'arrive, Erza donne la bonne nouvelle du rétablissement de Makarov. Je vais voir comment va Gajeel et au moment où j'arrive vers lui il me prend dans ses bras.

    ❝━ Ça va ? Me demande-t-il.

━ C'est plutôt à moi de te le demander t'as pas l'air en forme. Dis-je en rigolant. En tout cas, je suis contente que tu aies réussi à vaincre Luxus.

━ J'ai quoi comme récompense ? Dit-il de façon enfantine.

━ Mhhm je ne sais pas... pourquoi pas.... Ça.❞

Fairy Tail & The Paragande Kingdom - Chapter 2

FIRST CHAPTER | NEXT CHAPTER

X795, the following day - General headquarters of the Fairy Tail Guild

When Gray Fullbuster crosses the Guild’s principal entrance, he expected everything except to see so many serious faces. All the guilds members seemed absorbed in their discussions, so much so that nobody had seemed to notice his arrival.

“Well… I was away for only a week, and everybody looks in distress or what ?” he thrown to the assembly with a compelled smile.

His own comment, which was a little bit acerbic considering his own mind state at this moment, totally failed. Nobody turned to look at him. The Ice mage, a little bit disappointed, shrugged his shoulders and moved forward into the restaurant’s room, looking for his friends. The memory which forced their way into his thoughts every place he looked at were still so painful… It was going to take a while before he could totally accept the disappearance of his loved one but… He couldn’t run away for more time. 

Gray move forward a little more in the principal room of the Guild Building but he doesn’t sees any of the Natsu’s team members. Pretty unsettling, as they were supposed to be back from their mission the night before. He then goes to Levy and Gajeel, who were sitting to a table with the Shadow Gears and Lily.

“Hey, what’s up, guys ? he says without belief. For God’s sake, he had the feeling to have been gone for months… Levy was the first one who turned to him.

– … Gray ! Oh my goodness ! How are you ?! she shouted, not without a bit of surprise in her voice. Oh, sorry ! I mean…

– That’s OK, that’s OK, said Gray to reassure her with a soothing gesture of his hand. There’s nothing wrong, don't worry Levy. 

– Ya look in a good shape, buddy, said Gajeel with just a kind smile, which was neither full of pity, nor excessively happy, a thing which Gray liked very much. 

– That could be better, we’ll say. Heh, did you know where are Natsu and the others ?

– Oh, right ! You wasn’t here yesterday evening ! said Jett, So you don’t know what happened !

– I don’t know about what ? Anyway, considering your faces, that wasn’t cool I guess… They bring a cursed thing or what ? asked the ice mage, very curious. 

– Ah… That’s a thing we’ll know when she’d wake up. commented Gajeel.

– She ? But who are you talking about ? 

Finally, that was Levy who gives him an answer.

–  Yesterday evening, Lucy, Natsu and the team showed up with a girl, who was entirely out of her magic energy, and a funny creature, a “Chosen’, a kind of magical fox. The girl was almost dead. She has been taken to the infirmary of the guild right away and the Master has called Porlyusica. She’s still on the girl’s side with Mirajane. I imagine that what happened to her is really serious. About the rest of the team, they returned home to rest after spending a lot of time in the Master’s office. They went out late at night, so I guess they will come back here in a few minutes. 

– I see… But why does everybody seem so concerned about this event ? 

– Because we don’t know who she is and according to Happy, the mage and the chosen are pursued by enemies. We are just asking ourselves what exactly going on here, Droy answered to him. Nobody dared to get to the infirmary to learn more about. Porlyusica is waaaay too scary.

– Bah, personally, I don’t worry, said Gajeel. The Master have say that he will make a speech about it this afternoon. It shouldn’t be too long now, by the way.

– Well, what a story. I’ll let you here, I climb to see if the old man is in his office to tell him that I’m back.” Delacred Gray before moving away from the group.

The mage headed for the stairs and climbed to the first floor. He passed the hallways, surprisingly quiet, to Makarov’s office. He traveled around ten meters before stopping in front of a slightly opened door. The infirmary… I looked in and saw Mirajane with a pretty worried look and the famous magic fox which Levy spoke about in her arms. Then, he saw Porlyusica, who was turning her back to him near a young unconscious woman in a bed. So, that was her, the famous mage bringed back by Natsu and the others… She seemed to suffer despite the fact that she was clearly in a deep coma. It was quite clear that Porlyusica and Mirajane where talking about her. The young man decided to stop for a few seconds to listen to their conversation. He knew that this wasn’t correct at all, but he wanted to know more about this girl. He just have the time to look a little more that Mirajane turned herself to him. She had felt his presence for sure… She smiled to him and invited him to enter in silence before turning back to the healing wizard, showing a worried look again. Gray leaned against the infirmary door frame, discreetly. 

“You says that she is out of danger, Porlyusica ? asked the sweet mage to the healer.

– Yes. She’ll stay unconscious for a long time, as she have to fully recharge her energy, but she will not die, answered Porlyusica with her usual strict voice. 

– Oh, you see, Pog ! No reasons to worry anymore !

– *Yes what a relief !*

Gray jumped when he heard the voice in his head. What was this little fox who had spoken ? He looked at him a little more. That was him, without any doubt. That noticing done, he shrugged his shoulders and lowered his eyes again, just to remain discreet. 

– With good reason, she was near to pass away. You have been lucky, Chosen, to found some mages of our guild, said the healer. 

Pog nodded his head.

– *Yes and I am more lucky about the fact that you are not harmful at all.*

– Indeed, but as I know, there is really a few harmful mages near Magnolia, thanks to us ! added Mirajane with a smooth laugh. And I’m pretty convinced that your instinct had a lot of influence in it, Pog. Didn’t we say that the kindness attracts kindness ? 

– *You are too sweet with me, Mira, you know nothing about me and you already categorize me as “kind”. Maybe I’m a horrible and evil person !*

– Let me have a serious doubt about it, Little Being. commented Porlyusica. By the way, Gray, can we do something for you ? Did you need another little bit of help ?

The ice mage jumped again and pick his eyes up. The wizard turned herself to him, with a welcoming smile on her lips - a thing rare enough to be highlighted.

– No, I… The thing you gave me the last time worked nicely, I feel better, he mumbled because of the surprise. A few weeks ago, she gave him a potion to help him to find sleep easily. Thing which he was missing… Since this day.

– Good. So, what are you doing here ? 

– Originally, I climbed to see the Master, but the colleagues told me about this young woman and her magical fox, and I admit that it piqued my curiosity. When I saw the door open, I wanted to know. That was rude, please accept my apologies. 

– That’s rude, indeed. But I accept your apologies for this intrusion. Porlyusica looked at the Chosen. Pog, let me introduce you to Gray Fullbuster. This is another mage of the team who saved you yesterday. 

The magical creature jumped off Mirajane’s arms to come closer to Gray. The mage looked at the small being with curiosity. It was so human and so animal at the same time, but in a totally different way than Exceed were.  

– *Nice to meet you, Gray. My name’s Pog, and the young woman over there is called Alexandria. We come from the Paragande Kingdom.*

– The Paragande Kingdom ? Never heard of it before… 

– *That’s normal, our country is located on the other side of the ocean, from several months of sailing, on a continent which is not know and with which there are not much contact because of the distance. So, that’s not astonishing that you never heard about this country before.*

– I see… answered the mage, But what are you doing here, so far from your country ?

– You will know why soon, Gray !

Gray looked at the door to see who was just talking. Makarov smiled to the ice mage and moved into the room near to the Chosen. 

– Pog, I think it’s time to go tell your story to our guild members as Alexandria is in a better condition, don’t you think ? 

– *Right, Master. Let’s go !* approved Pog, preceding the old man in the main room direction. 

– Let’s follow him, Mirajane, you’ll announce the ongoing speech like that, added Porlyusica.

The beautiful mage nodded in approbation and the both women goes out of the infirmary too. Just before joining them, Makarov turned himself to Gray for a last time.

– I’m glad to see you back, Gray. You know, that’s an unfair and difficult ordeal to cross. Only time will heal the wounds of your soul… Believe-me, I cross it too.

Gray nodded his head.

– I know. I am less negative than before, that’s a start.

The master smiled to him before following their partners. Before going out, Gray looked at Alex. She seemed to have fever, because she was sweated a lot… He approached her and with the help of his magic, put a little bit of ice on her forehead.

– Hey. We didn’t know each others, but come back hurry. Pog is worried about you.”

To these words, the woman seemed to be more peaceful. Gray smiled. This girl was a damned warrior, for sure ! With this thought in mind, he leaded himself to the central room of the guild. He was really impatient to learn more about this young woman and her story, now.

 Please excuse my english, as this is not my native language, I have certainly do a lot of errors in the text. I just hope that will not ruin the reading ! :/
