Oh, hey, it's a bunch of character head-canons I've forgotten. - (Part One? Master List?)

Even though they're not complicated to make, George struggles with instant-foods, like packet noodles with flavour packets.

The Arthur family line has freckles, with Skarloey, they are very faint, while Marie and Arthur Scarlet's are visible.

Like actual bats, the Vampir-Copil being bat faunus would likely have them hibernate or sleep longer in Winter periods.

My idea for Oz & Salem being at odds with each other in the Chibi sketches I did would have had a comedic reason we'd flashback to, like Ozpin forgetting tog et the chicken out the freezer

Because of how he was built, Oliver lacks an Aura of his own, unlike Penny who has some of Pietro's, and (RWBY) Dash who would have some of Ironwood's so Pietro was not straining his body.

Casper ends up with a Grimm dragon as a pet called Torch, likewise, his later younger sister Alice would get a Grimm house-cat, though if I was to play him, Hazel would have had a Grimm mouse called Buttons as company.

A quirk of Alice was her being unintentionally scary, like being caught saying she "can't to see you burn", only for it to be she's making toast or roasted marshmallows.

Jess & Shinobu don't like dogs much, Jess had a nasty scare as a child by an aggressive dog, while Shinobu is like Blake in that being a cat faunus, the reaction is more normal.

Casper & Veronica's daughter is called Victoria, but it's not know what she inherits from her father and his abilities.

Eventually, when working with the heroes, Casper would stop using his "human" appearance guise with blond hair and blue eyes, since the only reason to keep it up is to help get around places without questions of why he looks like that.

Sunny & Angel are supposed to have accents but I've never settled on which, at most, Sunny would have been Australian, while Angel was tied between French and German.

Sunny being barefoot most of the time is mostly due to where she was born and raised being a beach town where questions about a lack of shoes are less of a thing, though her schools had them required as part of the uniform, and didn't allow sandals for things like science or workshop classes where it'd be stupid-dangerous.

Linda is asthmatic, and used to wear braces around two years before she'd end up at Beacon.

Ichigo's designs are based on past lead Kamen Riders in that they're what they'd look like if you took them and made them into clothing pieces, so for his main look, he resembles Kamen Rider 1gou.

Casper would have maybe learned he is not Salem's first child at some point after finding a painting of his mother, Ozma, and their daughters, this would have likely played into his defection.

BluBerry was an android OC who I would have revived to be an assistant to Ironwood, they are effectively non-binary/genderfluid as they composed of the twin AIs, the male Blu, and the female Berry, I would have likely updated the spelling to be BlueBerry proper too.

Venus was originally a villainess and head-villain of her kind, but I ended up liking her being a kind motherly-type, so she was made good, and later, the mother to Casper & Alice in the Mythril universe.

Likewise, Chrome was intended as a dubious-evil character, but the idea with the Authors then became to have them be mostly neutral figures as Mythril's gods.

Had my story been done a little better and not been playing catch up, Oliver as part of Team Salem likely would see him beefing with Tyrian, though for Chibi sketches, it's more Oliver and Tyrian having comedic moments of trying to set the other up into being punished by Salem.

Being androids, Penny, Dash, Rusty, and Oliver can switch off their hearing and sight if they wish.

George's usual pairs of socks have bunnies on them.

In her younger years, Alice would have dressed up Salem and pretended to be a mini-me of her for teddy bear parties.

The second floor laboratory of the Johson Pavillion rarely saw this type of energy. Sure, med school students were enthusiastic, but their energy could never rival that of the second graders in Jessica’s after-school program. The enrichment program began three months before; she built it from the ground up despite the naysayers who swore she never make it work. Now, not only was it working, but Thursday had become her favorite day of the week; more importantly, it was her student’s favorite day, too.

The very students who were currently creating utter chaos as they wrapped up their projects and gathered their belongings for dismissal. But Jess had it under control, standing in the center of it all with a goofy grin she couldn’t hide if she tried. She wasn’t sure if the lingering scent of chemicals, the buzz of the fluorescent lighting, or the excited chatter providing this natural high, but it felt too good to question. Perhaps this is what fulfillment felt like.

Across the room, Casey beamed with pride as she put away the last microscope, offering a little wink when she caught her girlfriend’s eye. With the last of the students headed out the door, she thought they’d finally get a moment alone when a tsunami of curls bedazzled with colorful barrettes bounced past her, and two arms wrapped her arms around Jessica’s waist in a tight embrace.

“Goodbye, Ms. Phillips!” the young girl grinned as her mother shuffled back into the lab, quickly taking her daughter by the hand.

“Now, Cassandra! You already said goodbye to Ms. Phillips! Don’t you think she might want to go home now?”  

“It’s fine,” Jess grinned. “She did a great job today. I think you may have a future doctor here!”

“I’ve never seen her this excited about science,” the mom nodded. “Cassondra says the way you teach makes it fun.”

“It is,” Casey agreed. “I sure wish I had a teacher like Ms. Phillips when I was in school.”

“Well, your enthusiasm makes it easy.” After giving Cassandra a side hug and a high five, Jess returned to mindlessly wiping the tables, utterly oblivious to Casey’s adoring stare. Her cheeks turned a delightful shade of pink when their eyes finally met.

“What are you smiling at,” Jess blushed.

“Oh, that’s easy...” Casey said, crossing the room. “I’m smiling at you. Because I’m so proud of you!”

“Oh, stop,” Jess dismissed, but Casey wasn’t having it.

“I most certainly will not! This whole program was your idea; I know how hard you fought to see it through. Now, look at those kids! They look forward to coming here to learn more after a full day in school. Look, I was a nerd, but I’m not sure I would have even signed on for that... but you have them loving it and running back in to hug you before they leave.” She brushed a loose tendril away from Jess’s face, her eyes filled with adoration. “You are perfect.”

If Jess’s cheeks had turned pink before, they were nothing short of crimson now.

“Stop it,” she sputtered. “It’s... it’s nothing.”

With a scolding expression, Casey pulled her close. “I most certainly will not stop! You deserve all the accolades for pulling this off. Seriously, Jess...you earned this! Just pretend you have a penis for a moment.”

“Wait...What?” Jess laughed.

“I mean it... can you just imagine if you were one of the guys. Imagine Manny or Josh, or... god forbid Dirk... if any of them were in your shoes, they’d be running to the Dean’s to tell them how magnificent they are... how lucky the program is to have them... you need to start doing that. You have every right to be proud of your achievements. Don’t ever diminish them.”

Jess looked down between them, slowly raising her eyes to Casey’s again. “I... I think you’re right.”

“I know I’m right. Now, let me treat you to dinner to celebrate.”  

“Casey... you don’t have to...”

“Uh-uh-uh.... PENIS! Pretend you have a penis!”

“All right,” Jess laughed heartily. “All right, you can take me out to celebrate, hon. What did you have in mind?”

“If we’re celebrating you, it’s your pick.”

“All right...sushi? I’ve been dying to go to Hayashi.”

“Sushi?” Casey teased. “I offer you a free meal of your choice... and you want raw fish and seaweed?”

“It’s delicious, you heathen!” Jess insisted. She playfully pushed Casey away to retrieve their coats from the closet. “I’ll get you to like it yet.”

“No, you won’t.”

Jess helped Casey into her coat, spinning her around to place a peck on her lips when she was done. “Oh, yes. I will!”

“Fine! Sushi it is.”

“Yey,” Jessica clapped. “And by the time we go home, you’ll like it, too!”  

“I probably will,” Casey surrendered. “How do you always manage to persuade me with your charms?”

“I can’t tell you that!” Jess winked. “A girl’s gotta have some secrets. Besides, if I told you my secret was the scent of the lemon cleaning fluid and the buzz of the fluorescent lights getting you under my control, it wouldn’t sound terribly romantic, would it?”

Casey rolled her eyes with a grin. “No. And it doesn’t sound like that would work, either.”

She extended her hand, and their finger intertwined. They were about to step outside when Jess came to stop.  

“Case... thank you... I.. I am proud of myself, and it means a lot to me that you’re proud of me, too.”

“Jess, I was proud of you before this... but now? I think you’re a rock star.”

We'll do the MK boys Alex 1. His 'comfort food' is good, cheap Chinese buffet, especially crab rangoon.

2. When he's drunk, he sometimes slips into Turkish without noticing. He also gets very emotional, often telling his friends he loves them (as if they don't know?)

3. While working for the Federovs, Alex had a crippling cocaine addiction. He started doing it to fit in and to look 'tough' in front of the others, but he became dependent on the high. While fleeing after his botched mission, he goes through withdrawals and has a....not good time.

JJ 1. When he's not working, he breaks in horses as a pastime. People bring wild, untamed horses to the ranch and he spends days, sometimes weeks breaking them in to be ridden.

2. JJ suffers from fairly crippling PTSD and chronic pain from his injury in combat. He has phantom pain in his missing leg and often has nightmares where he relives the incident. He also has a dash of survivor's guilt from being the only one to live through it.

3. He takes every loss of a man in Falcon Company very personally. Having to hand a spouse a folded flag is one of the things he dreads the most. He attends every funeral, and pays pensions for every one that has passed to their living family.

Jesse 1. He has borderline personality disorder, and he does not medicate himself consistently, if at all. He was diagnosed as a late teen after a brutal head injury that fractured his skull.

2. His usual rifle is a Barrett M82 .50BMG, but he has several that he equips, depending on what he he's doing. A few are: Knight's Armament SR-25 Blaser R93 LRS2 DSR-1

3. He has poor eyesight and wears -4.25 contact lenses. He refuses to wear glasses, claiming that they are the human equivalent of scope flare.

As ive been away for the weekend, not sure if anyone tagged me with this but saw it open tag so here we go. Tagging @vorchagirl @despicablediet and anyone who'd like to do it! 15 Lines of Dialogue Rules: Share 15 or fewer lines of dialogue from an OC, ideally lines that capture the character/personality/vibe of the OC. 1 -"Maybe I am, but there isn’t anything left in this universe worth staying for. Whatever is in the next universe has to be better than this one Barrett, it has to. I can't bare to stay here any more, not without him, not when I could have done it so differently."

2 - "Cora… she was there, saw her dad die…She hated me, blamed me for not saving him. After the funeral, Lillian took her and that was the last I ever saw that wonderful twelve year old. I realised then I had no reason to stay in my universe as everything i loved had been taken from me. I hoped maybe another would give me a second chance. To fix things..to try again…

Welcome to crack week 2019, and all the props in the world to @dresupi for doing a fab job coming up with these prompts.  The first prompt is, appropriately so, ‘Taser Mishaps’.  And, for some reason I like to return to the Dreamsverse when I’m feeling a bit out of sorts.  It’s like a comforting old friend, where none of my characters really know what they’re doing in this life, but they’re muddling through anyway.  This is utter and total crack, mind you, so please don’t come shouting at me that this scenario isn’t realistic.  The entire point is the lack of realism here.

I also have been feeling the strong desire to return to 2012 MCU fandom lately, for all obvious reasons, and so these cracky little ficlets in the Dreamsverse take place over the summer of 2012, a younger, more innocent time for my babies.  Although, admittedly, I’m totally pulling some characters from the more recent Marvel movies, definitely inspired by a post from @anais-ninja-bitch of late that spurred on some amazing headcanons.

There are a lot of OCs in this verse, and I’m hitting the ground running with them, so if you want to learn a little more about them, you can find the rest of the Dreamsverse at AO3.  If you don’t want to read through five long stories though, here’s what you need to know: 1) recently established Shieldshock where Darcy and Steve are neighbors in Brooklyn 2) Darcy has a LOT of roommates 3) No one knows Steve is Captain America, because his public identity is still secret (oh, it was a more innocent time then, and I’m a total sucker for a secret identity…).

Day 1 - Taser Mishaps

“This will not end well,” Barrett says.  His face is pinched with worry, and if the wary expression didn’t give it away, the way his fingertips keep tapping out a staccato beat on the worn windowsill say plenty, also.

Steve looks up at Barrett from his perch halfway down the steps between the fire escapes.  There’s already a rough edged rip in his t-shirt where the wrought iron had snagged it, the flaps peeling away to reveal a slice of his muscular chest.  Beyond that, the slight claw marks in his skin were showing up nicely red against his pale flesh.  “I realize that,” he replies with all of the patience he can muster up, “but what choice to do we have?”  His other hand has a thick rope wrapped around it, the other end of which is wrapped a few times around Darcy’s waist, just for extra safety purposes.

“Dude, it’s not my taser; I won’t get arrested for having an illegal weapon in this state!”

“Will you two shut up!” Darcy calls back over her shoulder, reaching around to adjust the rope and stop it from digging into her skin.  “The pigeons are getting even madder.”

It was purely an accident that Darcy’s taser had gone out the window.  She’d had it out in the kitchen, left on the little counter they’d set up in front of the window for some extra space so she could drop it into her backpack.  But the day is one of those summer days, where it’s nice and hot but there’s a breeze coming off the water, and it’s just about perfect as long as you can ignore the ever pervasive smell of hot garbage that seems to emanate from the pores of NYC in the warm weather, and the window was open to get some much needed fresh air in the apartment.  

So, of course someone ended up knocking into the counter and sending the taser clattering out of the window.  It didn’t fall far, only down to an ancient cement ledge on the story below theirs, but that little trip led to an entirely new set of problems.  First, the window behind the ledge had been bricked up ages before, so they couldn’t go through the apartment below theirs to retrieve the taser.  Second, the ledge had become overgrown with moss and lichen, making it a wonderfully soft location and protected location for a pigeon couple to set up a nest to keep their eggs warm and cozy.

The taser had landed just beyond the pigeons’ nest, and Mama Pigeon really, really didn’t like Steve, much to his chagrin and everyone else’s amusement during the first retrieval attempt.  Which is how Darcy ended up in the makeshift harness trying to reach past one very pissed off pigeon to retrieve her highly illegal non-lethal weapon.  

Mama Pigeon wriggles in her nest, and puffs her feathers up, giving Darcy a glare that translates all too well across species.  “I know,” Darcy says with a sigh.  “Just give me a few seconds and I’ll get out of your way?” she all but begs.  She reaches out again, trying to curve her arm up from below so that Mama Pigeon doesn’t see her coming and she can just snatch her taser back. 

She moves slowly, with careful intent, and she can feel Steve and Barrett’s eyes following her every move.  They’re all so intent on watching Darcy, however, that they don’t see the U-Haul van come to a jolting stop in the alley below them.  The passenger side door of the van opens, and another one of the roommates, Jess, steps out to stare gape mouthed at the sight above them.  “What the fuck is going on?!” she yells up at the crowd on the fire escape.

“Darcy’s taser got taken hostage by a pigeon!” Barrett yells back.

Darcy twists to give Barrett a glare, which makes Steve scramble to get an even tighter grip on the ropes keeping her in place.  “I wasn’t the one who knocked it out the window, butterfingers,” she spits out.

“Can we get this over with before you get arrested for illegal carry?  And before you scare off your new roommate?”  Steve cocks his head in the direction of the street below, at the young black woman who’d stepped out from the driver’s seat of the van and who had joined Jess in staring up at the chaos above them.  

“Ooh, good point.”  Darcy twists in the other direction to wave at the new woman, which is enough to make Steve lunge forward, quickly wrapping the loose rope around his forearm, and grab for the waistband of her shorts and at her hip to be certain that she doesn’t fall into the open dumpster in the alley below.  “Hi!  Monica, right?  Welcome to the madhouse!”

Down on the street, Monica slides her eyes over to Jess with a knowing look.  “You are very, very lucky that this is not the craziest thing I’ve seen in my life,” she says.

“It’s only Tuesday,” Jess replies with a nonchalant shrug, her eyes still watching the attempt at taser retrieval.  “Just wait until the weekend.”

OC: How have you been in the pandemic?

Diaspora: The pandemic has made most of our lives very stagnant but in our case, it has given us a lot of time to practice and jam together

OC: What is one piece of music that you can’t erase from your head ?

Dominic Miller’s  Absinthe, Water and Etude. Also, The shape of my heart by Sting is an absolute legend of a song that we can never ever forget about

OC: What type of music have you been the most into these days? Any particular track?

Currently very fascinated by the powerful drumming and stamina of Dave Turncrantz from Russian circles. Listen to Afrika by Russian Circles and you will know. Also, love the brilliance of Jesse Barrett from Mammal Hands

OC: Did you have any visual motif in mind during the making of your track - Down the Rabbit Hole?

Yes, it felt like a tunnel going down through many layers, one after the other. Each layer having its grim appearance, holding its unforgivable secrets, lying hidden forever. Just when you think you have reached the end, a whole different mechanism is waiting hidden, with a more complex outlook that controls the previous layer

OC: What type of music have you always wanted to try your hand at ?

Something along the line of progressive rock and jazz, a bit of Eastern rhythm infused with psychedelic sounds

OC: How did you get started with music ?

We started playing together when one of the members had just picked up his first proper acoustic guitar and made a couple of his new compositions. After a year of switching between cities, we finally came back together in Kolkata and got more time for rehearsals. After several sessions using acoustic, he finally decided to switch to electric guitar and I shifted to drums

OC: Describe your setup and your music making process

Our setup mostly consists of  Electric Guitars plugged into an amp via a ZOOM processor. A classic seven set local drum kit and a synthesiser. Sometimes we have some more equipments depending on the scene

OC: What have you been currently working on ?

We are currently revisiting our basics in time signature and various hand exercises, trying to infuse a better fluency and higher speed with leniency in our playing. This pandemic is giving us a lot of time to practice

OC: Which do you prefer - experimenting and discovering a song while in the making process or having a rough mental idea beforehand and then trying to actualise it ?

We love to experiment more, improvise at the moment when we are in the flow state. But both of us believe that music should have a structure so that it can be played again and again with similar accuracy. So our whole process in making music that follows the basic steps of recording live while playing and then listening to it again to improvise better and finally writing down the pattern if it's remarkable enough

motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?

When he's not in the middle of a rage blackout, his movements are pretty collected and coordinated. In the middle of one, however, he's erratic.

He has PTSD, so when in civilian clothes, he wears things that are easy to move in just in case he has to sprint at a moment's notice.

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

Jesse does fidget, often tapping his fingers on the handle of his pistol in tense situations. He's been known to pull out his knife and clean under his nails at times as well.

arms: Does your OC have any weapons? What weapons do they carry, and how do they wear them when they're not fighting?

Jesse's standard issue rifle is a Barrett M82 .50 cal. He also carries a Ruger Security 9. When not fighting, he keeps the pistol in an iwb holster and the rifle on a sling across his back.

Once he gets his Malleus suit, he ditches the marksman angle because he can actually fight. He then begins carrying an M16.

Story Time - Last of the Planned

Well, the title says it all, this is the last of the planned stories...well, so far, I do plan to go beyond and get to having Oscar, Sunny, and Angel part of the cast in the Stories, but that needs some planning, and even then, i have to plan beyond that.

Anyway, this story is “My Dad, The Teacher”, it appears to be a normal day, but things go a bit strange for Jess when it turns out that Amber is away, and substitutes will be in place for the next few days, but the first one is one that surprises the sheep girl.
