you’ve written 2 jk’s with different auras, how do you differentiate between them?

I think I try to emphasize different things from Jeongguk’s personality. For papercuts! I tried to focus on how Jeongguk acted towards the members vs other people. We know that Jeongguk is kind and caring but he seems carefree when he’s with his things. I tried to focus on that and send some of that towards Y/N’s character to build their relationship around comfort.

With Maniac, I tried to focus more on the Jeongguk from the last 2 years(?). On how he seems more comfortable in his own skin, I tried focusing on him flirting and having a flirty personality on vlives.

Also, I modeled the characters off some Kdrama characters too. I was watching Melodramatic while writing the beginning of papercuts. A lot of the drama deals with failed relationships and sifting through emotional baggage together. I guess YN and JK were a combination of most the characters in that drama.

I was rewatching Lawless Lawyer while I came up the idea for Maniac. A suave man in a suit and when that suave man is Lee JoonGi tends to make you inspired I guess. I wanted Jeongguk to have that similar air of self-confidence 🤭
