Mini-review:

I can't believe I waited so long to watch this one, considering The Hunger Games was such a big part of my life and I loved this prequel book. And after finally watching it, I'm so happy with the result. It does a great job as an adaptation, although some of Corilanus' complexity gets lost in translation without the book's internal narration. But most importantly, it's a pretty damn good movie in its own right. It sends a strong message that feels as important as ever in our current political and social landscape, and it does that without ever getting boring. It certainly helps that all the members of this incredible cast give striking performances. On top of that, the soundtrack is entirely unforgettable, with Rachel Zegler serving some serious vocals, as expected. The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes proves this franchise has enough fuel to keep going for a long time, and I'm already excited to read/watch the next prequel.

He's been ready for Christmas all year

I mean, have you seen his sweater?

He knows you've been excited too

So what better way to celebrate than to decorate?

And decorating with Freddy is unlike any other

He can create literal worlds for you

You want 50 Christmas trees in the living room? Sure thing

You want actual elves helping you out around the house? Coming right up!

Plus, Freddy isn't much for decor, so he gives you free reign on doing whatever you want

He most definitely will joke around with you though

He'll change the gold lights to red or have "Santa Clause" tied up in the corner of the room next time you visit

It's all in good fun, of course

You punish him by forcing a Santa hat on his head

The only "good" holiday to Michael is Halloween

What's the point of Christmas anyways?

Show joy to others and share kindness?

But he's with you now, so he has to make you happy in some way or another

When you suggest decorating the house, he just sort of gives you that dead stare

He watches you hang lights up and set up little trinkets everywhere

He will help you with the heavy lifting or anything that involves being really tall

One of Thomas's favorite things to do during the holiday season is to decorate the tree!

It's one of the small childhood memories he holds onto, and he's very excited to make new memories with you

He happily carries in the tree, refusing to let you do any of the lifting

And once it's set up, you both are digging through old bins to find ornaments and lights to hang up

You both even make your own special ornament to put on the tree!

And once it's all set up, he lifts you up so you can put the star on top

You both end up turning off all the lights in order to just admire the tree better, just casually chit chatting and sharing festive chocolates

He got so many ingredients

Cookies, cupcakes, pies, if you can think of it, Bubba wants to make it

By the end of everything, the kitchen looks like a war zone

But with everything baking, the house smells amazing

Instead of dinner, you both eat your treats

Bubba has a sugar rush and ends up excitedly bouncing off the walls

You both end up crashing on the couch on top of one another

Brahms Heelshire

Brahms loves Christmas

He has several classical records of Christmas music that he likes to play throughout the month

He has you help him dig out the old decorations he hasn't touched in years

You almost feel weird touching them since each ornament is worth $100 or more

But you and Brahms do have fun setting up the tree and putting the pretty lights everywhere

He also finds some old books he used to read as a child

You both read the Christmas stories together, sharing nostalgic memories of what the holidays were like when you were both younger

It's just a very sweet and wholesome night

One day, the living is as cozy and cute as normal

The next day, it's suddenly decked out in lights, candles, and a huge Christmas tree with several pristine gifts under it

You mouth was agape

Norman just stood back with an innocent smile on his face

You had no idea he would do all of this while you were out

But thankfully, you had a few gifts wrapped up for him too

With a lighthearted Christmas show playing in the background, you and Norman swap gifts and open them together

The home is filled with surprised laughter and "thank you's" as you both look at what was given

But of course, Billy knows that watching horror films 24/7 every holiday isn't exactly the ideal celebration

This makes the movie marathon feel more special

He also finds a homemade hot cocoa recipe he wants to try out

He does accidentally burn himself, but it doesn't change his mood any

He might not love this holiday as much as Halloween, but it is a VERY close second

He also manages to find the largest Christmas tree you have ever seen

It barely fits in the house

But when it comes to Stu, everything needs to be extra

You both spend the night flipping back and forth between lighthearted Christmas films and cheesy horror ones

Christmas has always been a favorite for Eric

It's the one day a year where things are a bit calmer, and he gets to spend it lounging around with you

He definitely made Christmas into a week long event by giving you a different gift each day

Cooks you breakfast in bed

Is somehow even more affectionate during this time

Refusing to decorate the tree unless you are doing it with him

Bo wanted to collapse in your arms as soon as he came home late tonight. He took off his boots and hung his hat before crawling upstairs. He snuck into your shared room, smiling when he saw how soft and comfortable you were sleeping. He threw his shirt in the corner and put on his sleeping pants silently.

He was gentle to lay next to you, curling into your back, and laid in your hair. He gave a sleep kiss before taking a hold of you and placing on his chest.

“Bo?” You murmur sleepily as you buried your face in his neck. “What time is it?”

“2:30am,” he drawled heavily, running his hands up and down your back and sides. “Missed ya, sweetness.”

You say something, but he’s too tired to hear. He’s just happy to have you in his arms.

Vincent

His rough hands rest on your hips as he lays his head in the crook of your neck. Working with wax in a hot basement with no look of relief, he’s happy he gets to touch you and love you. He always loved the smell of you and how soft your skin is.

“You okay, lovely?” You asked, your hands running through his hair. “Long morning?”

He whimpers and nods as he hugs tighter, nuzzling into neck.

“Okay, hun,” you whispered, smiling as you said his name,” “Vincent, I’ll be here.”

Lester

After a long day of driving, roadkill, and running visitors to Ambrose, Lester just wants you. He buried his face into your hair and cling onto you. He hugs and rests on your side as you two watch tv, his eyes closed as you run your fingers through his hair. He curls into you and sighs in contempt.

“Long day?” You hummed, and he nods, mumbling something. He buried his face into your shirt.

There’s nowhere else he wanted to be but holding you close.

Michael Myers

He doesn’t understand why he lets his guard down around you. Why he’s less tense and more calmer. He doesn’t understand how you can do it, and it scars him. Him being scared… that doesn’t sit well with him.

But when he took off his mask and let you cup his cheeks, he melts. He falls right into your hands and holds them there. Cursed or damned, he feels free with your touch, and he smiles for the first time since he was a kid.

He moves closer until he has you in his chest, large hands over your head. He closed his eyes and felt human. Felt like the man his mother always wanted and never feared.

Just stay in his arms for a while, y/n. Let him rest in you touch this autumn night.

Jason Voorhees

He’s not one for touches or closeness. Underneath his mask is a hell scape or scars and wounds, and it gotten to the point where he can’t stand to see himself in the mirror. However, when you came to visit at the breach durning the night at the camp, waving at him from shore, he just knew he had to feel your hand in his.

And that wish came true after a few years later and a couple walks on the beach. He finds his hand in yours and your head on his shoulder, talking about tomorrow’s camp actives with archery and trying out the new rock wall. His hands are bigger than yours, but he holds your hand none the less.

One day, he’ll hug you. One day he’ll hold you. For now, simple steps. Simple steps.

Brahms Heelshire

There isn’t a time of day when he’s not by your side. His hand on your hip, head on your chest, touching your shoulders, having you sit on his lap— he needs you all day every day.

At night during the winter, that’s when snuggles come in. He has you curled into his chest as he rubs your back. He looks up at the ceiling then out the window at the snow. He smiles to himself as he glances down at you. He holds you close and drifts to sleep. He’ll never have to face cold nights alone. He’ll never know it again because you’re here.

Thomas Hewitt

His rough hands finds your waist as he buried his face into your neck. Before you can say anything, he spins you around and lift you up. He holds you in the air as if you weigh nothing to him. His upper hand rakes through your hair as he has you rest on his shoulder.

He melts when you hold his face and smile down at him. “Hi,” you whisper, giggling slightly.

He smiles under his mask and leans against you hands, humming to himself. He takes in your scent and relaxes. He didn’t know how much he need to be near you until your smile made his heart flutter and stop.

Do it again and again, over and over, until he thinks about nothing but you.

I havnt really thought much on his Sexuality and such, maybe Bi?

Think he at least suffers from some form of asthma/ breathing related disability due to Tarturus. Drinking fire can not be good for your throat,definitely sleep apnea. Maybe back/ muscle problems from strain of holding up the sky? Not sure what that might do to someone tbh hdgd

Slashers and snowball fights head canons

So it's winter and I want it to snow where I am so I'm writing this. This is probably the most slashers I've ever included in head canons before but like I wanna make it up to you guys for being kinda absent lately.

Includes: Brahms Heelshire, Corey Cunningham, Michael Myers, Amanda Young, Adam Faulkner, Candyman, Jason Voorhees, and Billy Lenz

Brahms Heelshire

When you throw the first snow ball Brahms is a little confused. Why did you throw snow at him? Are you trying to hurt him?

You're going to have to explain that it's like a game people play, making snow balls and throwing them at each other.

When Brahms hears it a game, he's getting so competative omg. He's going to me bombarding you with snow balls.

He's going to love throwing the snowballs but hate when you actually hit him. He'll whine and hit you straight in the face with a snow ball.

Will insist you cuddle to warm up once you get back inside. He's going to demand it until you listen to him.

Corey Cunningham

He's going to jump when you unexpectidly hit him with a snowball. But once he kinda calms down it is so on.

He's going to have a ball play fighting with you. I have a feeling he likes play fighting in general but like snow balls fights are a lot more fun.

He's not the best as making snow balls but he's got a good arm that he uses to throw them. And he can throw them far too. You're not gonna be safe anywhere.

He'll "let you" hit him with snowballs too just to make it fair. Because he loves nothing more than hearing his s/o laugh and smile.

Will start to worry a bit if you look like you're getting too cold. After you both get inside he's making you your hot drink of choice and cuddling with you to warm up.

Michael Myers

Like Brahms he's going to be confused about why you threw snow at him. You'll have to explain to him that it's a game and he'll probably understand then.

He's going to be so aggressive with this I'm so sorry Y/n but he's brutal. Like he's constantly throwing snow balls at you. Honestly might pin you down and dump snow on any exposed skin he can find.

He doesn't mean to actually hurt you. He just gets really aggressive with play fighting.

Once he gets tired enough he's going to let you start hitting him back and let you "win" the snowball fight.

After getting back inside he's going to try to heat up by himself but if you wanna cuddle to warm up he's not complaining.

Amanda Young

When you first throw the snowball she's going to yelp and then laugh. If you want a snow ball fight you're going to get one Y/n.

Constantly throwing snowballs at you. She's got pretty good aim too. Will make a little pile of snowballs to hit you back with.

I can see her trying to put snowballs down your clothes if she gets close enough. She doesn't mean to be rude she just loves to play fight with you. Please don't be mad at her.

Will let you get her back however. She might be mean but she's fair. It's not fun if you don't get hit at least once.

Will happily cuddle up with you once you're done outside. Probably will want to drink some coffee while doing so but as long as you're there she's happy.

Adam Faulkner

He just wanted to take pictures outside while it's snowing he never wanted to be pelted with snow balls.

Will refuse to play along with this until you hit him in the face, then it's on Y/n, get ready.

He's going to make so many snow balls but fail horribly at throwing them because he has such bad aim.

Won't complain when you warm up with him inside. Will want to go develop his photos though.

Candy Man

He's, like a lot of slashers, confused as to why you threw a snowball at him. Why do you want to hurt him love?

Please explain that it's a game people play and have fun with. He'll quickly explain he can't really make snow balls to throw back at you.

So you'll have to make a pile of them for him so you to can have fun playing together.

Will happily wrap his coat around your body to keep you warm after playing outside in the cold. If you have a fireplace he'll probably light a fire.

Jason Voorhees

It'll take some convincing to get Jason to play with you. He'd much rather make a snowman, but if his s/o wants to play with snowballs he'll play with them.

Won't even ask questions, once you hit him with a snow ball he's throwing them right back at you.

He'll be very aggressive with throwing them your way and making sure that they hit you. He's not going to just let you win, you have to earn it.

Also might just dump snow down your clothes because he's a bit mean like that.
