I really thought, before they showed him, that Jane’s boyfriend didn’t exist and maybe he was pretending to have a bf because he had feelings for Jaab and thought they might be showing and thought they weren’t reciprocated. And I really liked that idea because I hate love triangles and I don’t like Jaab hitting on someone who has a boyfriend (although his awkwardness about his crush is super cute).

But then they had to go and show the boyfriend and crush my dreams. And he seems nice. We don’t know much about him, so that could change. But Jane doesn’t need a boyfriend! There are so many ways to make Jaab think Jane is unattainable to him. Or they could just make Jaab develop a new crush on Jane! And be nervous about asking him out! And Jane not understanding that’s what’s happening right away because they're friends and coworkers. Because that’s basically what’s happening anyway, just with emotional cheating.

I also thought he didn’t really have a bf because of the way he acts and all the things he says to Jaab. Oh, did you develop feelings for me? Is this a date? I feel so excited to go to your apartment. It’s like going home with a guy for the first time. Who the heck says that?!
