Me: Theres something so tragic about Jam. Its abundantly clear how much Tim cares for Jay. My favorite example being in Entry # 74 where he struggles with the seatbelt for a second because he’s trying to unbuckle it too fast to get to Jay. To a certain extent I think those feelings are mutual, but by season 3 Jay is too far gone. Getting answers comes first and everything and everyone else comes second. It makes me sad to think about what their relationship could have been like if Jay had started going to therapy and taking the pills like Tim tried to get him to do.

i found out a few days ago that we just discovered that mars is absolutely LOADED with water. it's just all about a dozen kilometers below the surface. this could be huge in terms of potential for life on mars - in the past or in the present. water makes places much more habitable, generally. it always makes my day better when i learn a cool science fact so i hope you enjoy. turns out that dusty ass planet is only dusty on the outside! inside, well damn is she wet (did i just ruin this ask i'm sorry u know who to blame

Animal Jam is not a fandom it is a state of being

Recycles when they can and takes their recycling bins out with their garbage

Wants to dedicate their adulthood to caring for animals or nature of some kind

Likes art or is an artist

A furry or chill with furries

LGBT or an ally

Remember what rares they had and their favorite den music

Remembers their main look

AJC players and Club Geoz (rip :[ )

Have a favorite animal in-game you still remember

Remembering random animal facts, probably thanks to the game

Remembers staying up late just to play Animal Jam

i didn’t have “the 100 suddenly becomes popular again” on my 2024 bingo card but i do think it’s incredibly funny that lexa is still ~the face~ of the show even when the controversy isn’t mentioned

This was a tour de force from 2012 that features several of my DeviantArt friends' Predator characters. It was a trade with the owner of the character placed in the middle, and the harp-like instrument was what she requested that her character play. The rest of the characters got whatever was floating through my head at the time, with a little basic input from the owners.

My character Chaunn is on the left with the toothy wind instrument. Her dad, Khan'nai, plays something like a mandolin. The trio on percussion are three boys with whom I'd worked on a couple of different art trades apiece, so I knew their characters pretty well (and yes, the drums, tambourine, and maracas fit their personalities). The lady on the lower right was a hard call, but said she wanted a horn of some kind. The less colorful players in the background are just fill-in characters.

The fuzzy beast sitting at the central character's feet is from my own headcanon. It's called a pfaukal, and yes, the similarity to a certain Yautja swear-word is deliberate. It's something like cockatoo software running on housecat hardware.

This is a fairly large image at about about 15x20 inches. I used Prismacolor pencils over an ink drawing and watercolor wash. I think it's one of my better efforts, and I'm still proud of it more than ten years later.

Just finished Raptor Red today! I enjoyed it; I like how it doesn't shy away from showing Raptor Red and her species' playfulness and curiosity. It may "humanize" them, but I think it's a fair trade, it's almost as if I were reading about ravens. I also found it interesting that it occasionally changed perspectives to other creatures.

Just be careful with your scanner, because sometimes it will act up... 👀
