I realize I may have some story trouble. So, the corpse- you know, the corpse that was formerly Rev (bad timeline) and currently belongs to JJ. Well. If I remember right recently on a whim holly came up with that horrible (devious) idea that JJ kept the body and pretends to talk to it because uh that’s kinda all he’s got left- BUT.

This was a new idea, so how long has he had it for.

How long after burying it did he dig it up? Did he just. Have that thing in his closet while he was mayor?? (probably?? mad scientist and all that.) Did JJ just have it stashed somewhere during his brief reformation arc??? People, these are the questions.

I would say it took years after to dig it up probably- at first he wasn’t too mad-scientist-like and definitely wanted to hide the evidence. Also because of how visible the bones are now.

things I love about obi-wan kenobi in revenge of the sith, an otherwise largely unenjoyable movie:

he's a huge bitch the whole time. his most forgotten character trait is that anytime he and Anakin get into a mess he becomes the most exasperated, snippy, complaining little bitch, and I love that

when he tracks down grievous he spends a great deal of effort being stealthy only to drop down directly behind grievous and not even surprise attack, just say hello. he did it purely for the melodrama.

when grievous reveals he has four arms and four lightsabers he grins with pure anticipation bc he loves a challenge more than he loves not being murdered

his entire fight with grievous. the part where he launches himself into the moving vehicle. the part where he tries to kick grievous' metal leg. the part where he tosses the gun that saved his life aside in disgust. every part.

when he sits in his formal council chair with one foot up on the armrest even though it's way too tall to look casual

and it’s like - that’s what comes with being raised the way he was. punished for imperfection, but there’s no guidebook, no definition of perfect. and so perfect is never good enough anyway. it’s a trap and there is no winning, so there’s nothing else to do but take the blame and bear it, and internalize it. and it makes actual failure and actual mistakes that much more painful. of course responsibility needs to be taken for your actions - but when you’ve been taking responsibility for everything, up to and including the literal fate of the world, all of your life, every outcome is your fault. and guilt only builds, and resentment only festers. of course he hates the elders for how they treated him. of course he hates himself.

he’s grabbing his own destiny and making his own choices - but the thing about making your own choices is that there are so many of them. there’s no destiny to blame anymore. and all you can do is the best you can. and it’s not always going to be good enough. he’s learned plenty about failure, but with Jay and Chip around, maybe he’ll learn about second chances, and self forgiveness. maybe he’ll learn that accidents aren’t always met with extremes. and that he’s not the only one left to deal with a mess if he slips up and breaks something.

3. what makes you love writing?

What makes me love writing is that I hate when I’m not doing it wjajwjwjsjsjj mostly I think I like the release like all the stuff in my brain is finally out of there and put somewhere and i can make it beautiful if I really try and that’s really nice

4. what does it take for you to be proud of something you’ve written?

I thinnnnk idk I critique myself so much and compare myself to others so bad and I get stuck like that sometimes but I think just finishing it and knowing that it’s like. What I wanted to write like really really what I personally liked and cared about and wanted to explore makes me proud maybe

6. are your projects driven more by character or plot?

Omg character for sure…I feel like I don’t even know how to set up plot like nothing has plot it’s just scenes in peoples lives

ngl the worst thing about the xenoblade fandom (which I think is the root cause of a lot of other issues) is that it’s mostly on twitter. thinking about Jack s5 time travel au again. eventually he’s going to break down, right? he can tell himself that sam & dean wouldn’t want him to jeopardize the future by changing the past, stand by and let lucifer carry on with his reluctant destruction while telling himself that this is his job, to preserve the life sam & dean & cas will have, no matter how much he’s watching them and everything else get hurt in the present. and maybe for them, jack would misguidedly stick it out and make sure things go as they should because the life that they will have might hurt, but it’s theirs, right? it’s what they wanted, right?

but again. lucifer is also there. lucifer is the crux of the apocalypse, and he’s taken jack under his wing thinking he’s a rebel angel for lucifer’s cause, and he’s so different. lucifer and Jack having quiet conversations surrounded by natural beauty where lucifer is so filled with love for all of it, so furious with humanity for ruining the world, so angry and heartbroken that god wouldn’t listen to him. he’s telling jack this while jack nods and listens and tries not to say anything that will give him away. lucifer’s grooming his wings for him absently, saying how much he missed taking care of one of his siblings while caged, and jack is trembling from the constant affection he’s being shown from his dad who doesn’t know he’s his dad. who has never been like this around him before. who he didn’t know could be like this.

i think that’s what would break jack and push his hand into trying to change the future. what wouldn’t he do, if he has the chance to save his father from himself?
