Something something Gideon always inevitably wakes up with Kremy on or curled up next to him because being cold-blooded he seeks out the literal furnace sleeping next to him every night.

Frost is usually nearby too, but only if they're sleeping outside and not in beds, he's not cold-blooded but he is a cat, of course he likes to be near a heater too.

And now that I think about it, Torbek would be there too, having gone through what he has and severly underweight, his circulation is terrible and despite having his own layer of fur, he just can't stay warm on his own, so he sleeps sandwiched between Gideon and Hootsie

Just. A whole cuddle puddle of all of them, Gricko curls up next to Hootsie, Twig sleeps under Gideons arm, and when Pigtunias around she acts as a pillow for him

I love cuddle puddles and I love characters who naturally make everyone more comfortable to sleep around them 😭😭

Okok really honestly I wish they knew he is silly On Purpose. There are obv like SO many moments that have been done to death by better bloggers than me about how he knows more than he seems to and he acts a certain way but is sometimes lying and he is smarter than people give him credit for and that is great stuff! It really fucking is! But all this adds up to say he is a goofy guy out of choice! Papyrus WANTS to be whimsical!! He WANTS to believe in and love himself and every other person he meets! He WANTS to fuck around and be oblivious and be a fashion fucking icon!!! It's despite, not because! This is the energy I feel everyone should carry.

The more I think about it, the more I am increasingly charmed by the idea of Derek finding lil baby Eli on the nemeton stump and and being like, "Well, I'm clearly the only person responsible enough to raise this baby" and just adopting Eli and then everyone throws a "So You Found A Baby" party for him.

I also am in love with the idea that Stiles buys little baby clothes and it's, like, a little pair of jeans and a plaid shirt, and Peter is fucking horrified in the corner, drinking a glass of wine, wondering why he's been cursed to witness so much flannel.

the idea of the nemeton gifting derek a baby is incredibly charming and fairy tale like. the nemeton benevolently wanting to apologize to derek like "sorry about all the shit that happened to you that was sort of my fault. here's a cute baby xoxoxox"

i also love the idea of eli imprinting on stiles like a duckling and just becoming his little shadow when he's around which is both terrifying and insanely attractive to derek. the sheriff thinks it's hilarious and is more than happy to babysit. stiles becoming really involved with eli is [chef's kiss].

lydia being a doting fairy godmother because someone has to have taste (not you, peter) and she's done the research to help improve eli's cognitive development.

malia being the fun kind of aunt who helps eli commit baby crimes. she'd encourage independence and play with him because lbr she's not nurturing exactly and derek doesn't trust her to babysit for extended periods but malia would be fun.

liam has no idea what to do with a child. don't even ask. he's just a tall toddler himself. he's the one to be like "mood" when eli cries.

scott is the one who carries all sorts of cool bandaids. the ones that have batman and paw patrol and disney characters. his mother was a nurse damn it and he's a vet. scott is a patient person and has a calm bedside manner. scott mccall would coo at babies and play peek a boo in a grocery store line. because fuck you jeff davis scott is a softie and would still talk to people and make sure derek was okay at minimum.

peter being peter about it. you know he'd watch over that kid like a mother hen and pretend he wasn't. derek would have mixed feelings about this. peter would also try to get rid of the plaid that has entered eli's wardrobe. it's his chosen battle.

additionally to my first grojband post, i would like to say i am actually so endeared by the fact corey canonically has ocd and adhd, and not only that, in the fact that it actually affects his character and it shows well in the very first damn episode. like, i remember during my rewatch i was telling my friend IMMEDIATELY how "yknow i dont think coreys character makes sense unless you read him as on the spectrum legitimately" and then by chance, by reading the creators old blogspot for grojband, found out this was just a real important part about his character.

honestly the fact that corey may have very well been the first time i saw a protagonist not only that i could relate to, but one explicitly with ocd AND adhd? its genuinely so cool. no wonder i loved him lmao

Ahem. Anyway. Goddddddd do i have to pick one? 🥺 please don't tell me I have to pick just one. My favorite thing????? I guess his resilience. Not just his ability to persevere and fight toward his dream in many ways both silly and not, his ability to believe in something unreservedly against all confounding evidence, his preservation of silliness and joy and passion in an increasingly serious and concerned world, his faithfulness to who he is and how he wants to act when it is so easy to try and shape yourself to other's wants, but also!!! His dedication to kindness, no matter what.

These are all about resilience, in a way. Right? Guys??

I think it may also have to to with the Teen Titans cartoon – and the age we were when we saw it. I have this memory of an episode in particular (3x05 - 'Haunted') as pure psychological warfare... and something that evolved as the whumpy-ship flavour i love nowadays

(post in question) you're definitely right! though i was never a fan of the show, i've seen the Slade clips and i know the show went to lengths to make Slade seem almost otherworldly in how terrifying he was, especially to Dick. and since that show has left it's *mark* on DC content, canon and fanon, it's often a basis for Slade and the Titans in general. and like you said, the age we watch this stuff shapes a lot. those episodes as a young kid? absolutely horrifying. they felt so unsettling and dark and it rlly does make Slade have sticking power in the brain as being *very* deadly and how easy it is to imagine him always beating Dick.

i don't know how old Dick is in the show, but i can't imagine he's more than 16. which emphasizes that Slade teens to go against teens. can Slade beat Dick at that age? very likely yes, even in the comics. (though Slade was introduced when Dick was already an adult, so we don't have a ton of content exploring that in comics) the age you put Dick at when he fights Slade can change a lot. i always view Dick as an adult when he's fighting Slade, in which case Dick can usually win pretty easily. but if you slide him younger, you do have much more room for that fucked up whump that the show blessed us all with. which is the fun of this ship in general, it does contain multitiudes.
