since I'm not seeing any new headcanons I've taken it upon myself to make it

I feel like he had a small hunch as a kid from sitting playing video games when he could

If one of his friends are sick he would make them soup and bring it to them

his mom would post him on her Facebook

Type to take photos of random things for memories

When they were younger of him or his sister made a drawing their mom would stick it on the fridge

He definitely rewatches his comfort movie 24/7

An animal person

He would be good with animals definitely

OMG HE WOULD GARDEN WITH HIS MOM

His mom used to cut his hair

He really likes flying on the plane but also half scared. It's a 50/50 for him

its fun to think that despite being blue beetle, jaime isn't good around bugs.

but its also fun to think that jenny really likes bugs and knows lots about them

so if there was a spider or something, jaime would always get jenny to get rid of it. she always insists on not killing them unless it is absolutely necessary. she deadass picks them up with her bare hands (unless they're too dangerous for her to do that) and gives them names and stuff before letting them go out a window and waving bye bye to them.

but one day jaime sees a spider and this time jenny insists that he deals with it this time.

so now shes holding his hands to stop them from shaking as he places the cup over the spider (and just for comedic affect, it is tiny) as shes saying stuff like "come on you can do it sweetie you're being very very brave good job"

and when its finally dealt with she's like "omg you did it!!! wow!!!! you're so brave and so handsome yes you are!!!!"

and just think of how many spiders are in ted's big dark abandonded house.

Little!Jaime Reyes Headcanons !!

(Warning! This is going off the movie, not the comics, so don’t get mad if i don’t know anything because i have not been into superheroes until just this year!)

- Jaime actually is a very very closeted regressor, although it’s out of comfort and not embarrassment of his family knowing!!

- A very nightowl-ish baby, stays up to when he knows his whole family is sleeping and sneaks out to grab little snacks or just watch cartoons in his room when he knows Milagro or his mamá won’t barge in.

- He might be a night owl but boy does he always want to play, he has toys hidden in his room in random spots. They’re mostly all action figures that he can chalk up to collecting!

- He regresses just for fun, with the emergence of Khaji-Da though it’s a stress reliever. Jaime has a regression range of 2-13!! Very big age range but he’s comfortable with it.

- The sweetest when he’s regressed a bit younger, often hangs out with Jenny and would offer every little toy or snack before he could even take a bite. (She shakes her head and laughs, telling him; “It’s your snack, Azul, not mine.”)

- Nickname lover!!! Conejo, Angelito- the whole nine yards, he’s used to a lot of spanish nicknames from his family but honestly call him puppy and he might melt into an embarrassed mess !!

- Argues over silly things with his carer, won’t hesitate to use his pre-law skills to try and make a point even if it doesn’t seem to make sense to anyone but him. (He’s tried to convince Jenny at least once that his toys were alive like the toy story ones.)

- Always always wants to play outside, likes sitting and looking at the cactuses outside his house, sitting in the chairs he used to sit in with his Papá all the time!! Finds comfort in watching and playing around or with them.

- Khaji-Da is a very active part of him sometimes when he’s regressed, advising him to eat or go to sleep when it’s a little too late for the little to be up. The little uh arm thingys of the suit come out and he hangs from the roof and sleeps where Khaji is protected and he’s comfortable. (He loves it sometimes when he’s regressed because it’s like swinging or just floating!! Not like he can’t float in his Blue Beetle suit anyways but.. yk.)

bart my friend bart for the ask thing?

Sexuality Headcanon: gay 💪 he’s 1/4 people who have taken up the flash mantle who like men to me. except for maybe jay garrick.

Gender Headcanon: cis+ in that i think he’s fine being a guy and presenting as such but he was also raised in VR and sent to the past and had to adjust to an unfamiliar world with unfamiliar social rules and is also neurodivergent so the way he approaches gender is a little inherently different.

A ship I have with said character: konbart is my favorite for him. other people have said why way better than i could at the moment, but its the most interesting to me aside from being sweet :) them being the only two characters to have memories from prior to the reboot among their friend group for a while and that leading bart to tear through time and space to find kon + their similar experiences when it comes to the ways they grew up + i mean… have you read superboy. etc.

A BROTP I have with said character: tim & bart, bart & cissie, and bart & carol & preston from the impulse solo! tim and bart is self explanatory, i think their characters compliment each other and tim understands bart’s strengths well. his friendship with cissie is classic (introduced cissie into continuity, even) and i like how they have each other’s backs. i miss bart’s civilian friends every single day of my life, and while i’m not a fan of the direction they took carol, they were all so important to him and his story and really served to add heart to what Impulse was all about.

A NOTP I have with said character: hmm… bluepulse. very little precedent for it aside from the yj animated show and even then. bart has little to no significance to jaime reyes at all and vice versa and it’s annoying in tags. i think it’d be neat if they were friends though. also not a fan of requited bart/rose but i think him having a crush on her in the titans era was cute.

A random headcanon: rehabilitating “Bart sparks bits of the speed force when experiencing strong or unexpected emotions” from F*stest M*n Al*ve.

General Opinion over said character: Bart Allen is such a special character to me as someone who saw my experiences as an undiagnosed kid in him to the point that i genuinely cried reading Impulse, but even aside from that. At his best he refuses to slow down for a world that refuses to keep up with him and his comics tell you that isn’t such a bad thing. He marches to the beat of his own drum but cares about his family and friends, he’s angry and silly and fun and serious and everything to me. I wish fans would stop treating him as Tim and Kon’s Wacky Sidekick based on that one joke from YJ that got ran into the ground. I genuinely think he is ADHD coded in the most traditional sense of the word. i think everybody should read Impulse, of course, but his appearances in Flash comics leading up to his solo, too, which paint such a good picture of his inherent defiance and early relationship with the Flash family. him being kid flash was a dumbass idea that went against what made him so great and geoff johns owes me specifically money. Bart World No Mercy. Goodnight.
