🌷Hwayeon’s Backstory🌷
Background:
Hwayeon Miran was originally a member of the World Serpent’s elite team, dedicated to defending reality from interdimensional threats. Unfortunately, due to.. unforeseen circumstances, the entire team except for Hwayeon and another member were annihilated. However, unlike the others, Hwayeon did not truly perish. Instead, her soul was caught by the Korean goddess of life and rebirth, Jacheongbi, who took pity on her.
Jacheongbi recognized Hwayeon’s valor and believed that her work in the mortal realm was not yet complete. To give her a second chance at life, the goddess reincarnated Hwayeon as a gumiho (nine-tailed fox spirit), known for their cunning and supernatural abilities. Jacheongbi planted her into a human family in North Korea, erasing her memories of her past life and replacing them with a fabricated history. Her “family” – Na Yuna, Ji Sunhan, and her siblings Hyunjae and Aji – were created with false memories, designed to give Hwayeon a normal life while hiding her true nature.
Family and Early Life:
In this new life, Hwayeon was born as the youngest of three children to Na Yuna and Ji Sunhan. The tragedy of losing her younger sister Aji deeply affected the family, though this event was part of the illusion crafted by Jacheongbi to keep Hwayeon grounded in her human form. The fabricated memories provided Hwayeon with the necessary human experiences, emotions, and connections that would shape her future.
Hwayeon grew up in North Korea, knowing nothing of the world beyond its borders. However, a pivotal moment occurred when her ‘older brother’ Hyunjae betrayed their parents to gain favor with the government. He was granted a single wish: to defect safely with Hwayeon to Japan. This marked the beginning of her journey towards her true destiny.
Life in Japan and Joining the World Serpent (Reborn):
Once in Japan, Hwayeon excelled in her studies, graduating from Hokkaido University’s medical program. Despite her reincarnation, remnants of her past life subtly influenced her, driving her towards fields related to healing and combat. These latent memories and instincts made her an invaluable recruit for the World Serpent, even though she had no conscious knowledge of her previous involvement.
Later, after getting her access to their teleportation system updated, Hwayeon returned to Yokohama, where she discovered her brother’s corruption within the police force. The confrontation between them was inevitable, resulting in her arresting him and severing their already fragile bond.
Discovery of Her True Nature:
After hearing from a friend named Kaguya Fuma about how they knew each other in her past life, back in the old World Serpent, she traveled to South Korea and visited a temple of Jacheongbi, knowing that the aforementioned woman was the goddess of beauty and life. At the temple, Jacheongbi herself appeared to Hwayeon, finally telling her about her origins. The knowledge of her divine origins and her gumiho nature gave Hwayeon a renewed sense of purpose, blending her human compassion with the cunning and power of a gumiho.
Current Role:
In the present day, Hwayeon balances her dual identities, currently, she works for Felix III at the Rose Sword Hotel. Her encounters with Kotoko and Riki were no coincidence, as she felt a strong sense of kinship with them, likely due to their shared connection the new World Serpent. Taking on the role of their legal guardian, Hwayeon now protects and guides them.
Personality:
Hwayeon is calm, calculated, and often reserved. Her human upbringing makes her empathetic and compassionate, but her gumiho side gives her a sharp edge, allowing her to be ruthless when necessary. The duality of her nature is both her greatest strength and her deepest struggle as she continues to navigate a world that is far more complex than she initially believed.
Hwayeon is also known to be very kind and enjoys reading books and stories, although she also shows an obsessive side in making profits at the same time, sometimes she tends to suggest… interesting ways of getting money (NO NOT THE SUSPICIOUS STUFF.). She also has an enigmatic air around her, with those close to her growing used to it. When speaking with outsiders or close friends, she shows a blunter and more cynical side to her. Hwa does not mince words, even towards her friend and boss, Felix III. Being a gumiho, Hwa is fond of fried tofu. She despises pickled and sour foods of all sorts.
she's also very mischievous. She couples this mischievous streak with impressive skills of manipulation and reading people. As such her tricks and pranks are usually elaborate, long-winded affairs towards rather simple ends, which she does out of enjoyment and the fact that she enjoys watching people squirm. This has caused many people who do not know her closely to believe that she is “scary”.

SPOILER 2: CASAS.
JOSHIN
Pátronos: Jowangshin, Bari Gongju.
Cor: Vermelho.
Elemento: Fogo.
1. Não falar palavrão na lareira.
2. Não sentar na lareira.
3. Não colocar o pé na lareira.
4. Manter a cozinha limpa.
Pés no chão, estáveis, tranquilos…

Persona au ideas so far
well not including the Arcana at least, adding that in a reblog, for my fanfic and for another verse for my Willow
feel free to use these ideas or alter them for your own fun, only Willow will have stated personas in this case.
This will probably get added onto further
The Boiling Isles: The main landmass in the cognitive world of imagination and adventure, though they often just call it the Demon realm or Shadow realm. It had been around for a little while and has adult persona users who have done it for a while but they are not all very strong because they are affected by interpersonal relationships and your feelings of self worth and general sense of self
Palismen: Still exist as more of an evoker role and sort of a vessel for a person’s persona and help summon them and take the shape of the users preferred weapon
The Bad Girl's Coven (initially)
Luz: the standard Fool protagonist with the 0 number, discovers the Demon realm by following Eda through her portal and awakens her potential though her persona is faint and weak at first so she learns to form bonds with others while working on strengthening her own. She has trouble fitting in in school and her creativity sometimes has gotten out of hand. Her mom loves her creativity but thinks they should move for a fresh start. Luz is afraid to move because she doesn't want to leave her father's grave behind so Camila sends Luz to stay with an old friend, Eda, for the summer to see if she may like it there.
Eda: head of the self proclaimed Bad Girl's Coven. She has one of the strongest personas currently and takes Luz on as a men-tee while taking her in for the summer, though she has a chronic illness that slows her down she sticks by to help the kids learn
King: has sort of a role akin to Koromaru, Teddy and Mona he also has a persona of his own. He has the most experience besides Eda but is still young
Hooty: a persona freed from being a shadow by Eda a long time ago who guards the base in the other realm
Willow: first younger member to join, her persona had been weaker due to being taught in a way that she had trouble learning, once she was able to learn her way and feel better about herself her persona grew in strength. It starts out as Persephone using plants, healing and wind (I’m taking liberties on the standard persona elements, mixing both media’s elements). Once she comes into herself fully Persephone evolves into Jacheongbi (based on the Korean goddess of the earth and other things)
Gus: The navigator and support, he can use his persona to map out the land, make paths appear for his friends and see where enemies, allies and other things are, he also uses it for his typical duplication spells
Amity: Becomes the planner of sorts, the knowledgeable one, main persona esque element is fire
The Emperor’s Coven
Belos: a self proclaimed Emperor of the Boiling Isles in the other world, has traveled there longer than anyone and has found a way to control the shadows there with one of his personas. Well he technically only has 1 that is his but found a powerful being he believed to be a persona bound to a round, reflective disk. This being has helped him to control the shadows and has now gathered a following of other persona users. He is trying to amass a large following to eventually break down the barrier keeping both worlds separate and take over with them to “cleanse the world and lead it on the right path”
For the time being he is working his influence in the real world as a religious politician with a secret cult. He goes by Belos in the other world and within his cult and Philip in the real world. He had created a method of mind control or heavy brainwashing to force anyone he wanted to join him, it doesn’t always work as well as is believed such as for Raine, Darius and Eberwolf who are secretly against him
Kikimora: a willing member of the coven and one of Belos' most loyal. She also knows his identity in the real world and is his assistant there.
Hunter: Belos' nephew and an unknown Fool arcana user. His number is 22 (akin to the female protagonist in P3P), the other number representing it. Belos has an idea that Hunter has a great amount of potential but doesn't tell him so that he can find a way to take it for himself. He limits Hunter’s abilities by "giving him a persona because he doesn't have one"
The Main Party part 1
Luz, Eda, King, Willow and Gus with Amity, Emira and Edric joining part time for the first while.
Part 2: Luz, King, Willow, Gus, Amity
And part 3, akin to season 3: would be Luz, Willow, Gus, Amity, Vee and Hunter with Vee and King switching out later

Jacheongbi, the Korean Goddess of Earthly Farming. She is shown with the Five Grains--rice, soybeans, millet, foxtail millet, and barely--which represent all agricultural produce. This is one of the new Korean Goddesses I've been inspired to my World Goddess Oracle, though I'm not sure how they're all going to fit in just yet!
Details of my process in creating this piece can be found on my Patreon.
