Stop the genocide!!!

i tried to make a political cartoon- it doesn't have as much symbolism as i wanted to, but im pretty proud of this!

i got the inspo from a convo me and my sister had. she would always try to counter my points with "well, i dont live there" "its not gonna affect me" or "i cant do much, im just a kid anyway".

and all of this isnt true.

You can slow the funding! Protests exist, especially the peaceful ones. You dont even have to protest, boycott brands and businesses who support this bullshit. Make homemade stuff to get your damned fix.

and if you refuse to do so, that just lets the whole world know you'd rather drink a damn lavender latte than spare 5 children of early death.

everything that is happening will concern everyone on the globe, especially america, because this determines whether or not we fight for our cause or let history repeat itself.

our ancestors, proud activists, and modern day people haven't and won't work this hard only for us to fail. Or even worse, ignore it and make it grow. it goes against human morals, it makes many groups of people get hate, and it shows how low people consider the bar for basic human decency, if that.

whats gonna happen to everyone, and i mean everyone, is chaos. (more than it already is- but you get my point)

if a tiny democracy, who cant even consider themselves a country better yet a state, can take down millions of people, kill off generations, fulfill an ethnic cleansing, ignore protests and collect proper fundings to do so, record and dehumanize said people, make billions of people watch this with an evil grin and a shitty bag of reasons,

who else do you think is gonna try?

Hi. This is not my usual type of content.

If you don't know me, I'm just a blog about the schizo-spec, as I am a part of it, and that's what most of my blog is about.

Today, I want to talk about Walaa.

Walaa is 18 years old. She is a young Palestinian who is just trying to make it through the day. Her family and her have been displaced four times. Her father is injured. Her brother is still recovering from hepatitis. Her younger sister spent her birthday while in the midst of a genocide. Her baby brother, who is two months old, needs resources like milk and diapers but it's rare and expensive.

Right now, they live in a tent, and with the hot weather, it's quite unbearable, especially for the father's injured feet.

They need medical help, and help getting out of there.

It is so fucking easy to dissociate yourself from what's happening in other parts of the world, such as Palestine and Lebanon and Congo and even Russia, especially if you're white and live in the west and suburbs like me, where nobody talks about this shit. It's so easy to focus on your own life and your own joys and sorrows and ignore the countless people being murdered and mistreated on a regular basis. No matter who your ancestors were, where you're from, etc, we have never known what it's like to live under constant threat of being killed and bombed everywhere you go. We have never known what it's like to face excruciating labor daily, along with being constantly harassed and assaulted. And a lot of us have never had to fear real, legal punishments for something as simple as wearing a pride pin. It's terrifying thinking of what it must be like for people living under these conditions, but I know it's even more terrifying for those people. But please. Don't ignore what's going on in the world. Reblog, make a poster, talk about it with someone, I don't care. But please, I'm literally begging you. Don't let these people go unheard.

I think young women of our generation do too much navel gazing and passive wondering, and not enough going out and experiencing the world. Some women will spend their entire life wondering about their sexuality instead of following their natural desire and dating people they are attracted to. "Am I have lesbian/bisexual/straight?" Have you ever even tried to date people you think you're attracted to or tried to have sex? Or did you just retire into celibacy at age 22? "What's my purpose?" Have you ever seen a job that looks cool, randomly applied and tried it for a few months? Have you just joined a rock climbing club because the price looked affordable? Did you ever think about volunteering somewhere near your house/apartment once a week to meet people? Stumble your way into your purpose by going out into the world, not by wondering about it endlessly. "What's wrong with me?" ask the people around you, get evaluated professionally, then look up CBT exercises to fix it or read a bunch of psych books and create your own treatment plan. Go to a gym, see someone exercising and ask them for advice or mimic their routine. Do something. Anything. Stop wasting time asking yourself the same existential questions and go out into the world and participate! Move country/state/city, join the peace corp, lie about being Christian and go on a mission paid for by a church. Make some calculated mistakes.

Bleach. I absolutely love Bleach. It has some of the best relationships in anime. Surprising no one, I think early Bleach was expertly done. Also surprising no one, I think it got weaker and weaker as it continued. The idea of hollows all having spanish/Mexican themes was cringe. It's only made better by humanizing the arrancar. Chad, the half Mexican character having hollow powers without insinuating Orihimes powers as hollow based increased the cringe.

I actually like the fights in Hueco Mundo for the most part. Just a few things led to the deterioration of the show. Orihime deciding on a mission in Hueco Mundo was promising for her character, but it was dropped completely. She should have insisted on returning to Karakura with Ichigo. Uryuu, Chad, and Renji were injured badly, so it made since for them to stay behind, especially Renji since he would fall victim to Aizen's illusions. Orihime and Rukia on the other hand should have gone. Neither would have fallen victim and could have been useful. Having another healer is always helpful, especially one with shielding capabilities. Rukia and Ichigo work well together, and neither would fall victim and I guarantee he wouldn't freeze about motives with her there. I'll get into that in a moment. I understand the need to show ichigo and his father having a moment, but the idea he couldn't with them there is ridiculous. Also making aizen plan ichigos conception is to much. All knowing villains are great, but you can't push them that far. Ichigo wondering why he's there all of a sudden is beyond stupid. This guy tried to kill his friends, there should be no freezing up. Have Orihime and Rukia go with Rangiku. Rangiku can have her moment with Gin, while they save their friends and hold off Aizen after gin fails until Ichigo gets there. Rukia gets majorly injured, Ichigo shows, giving him that final push to use final getsuga, while Orhime and Tatsuki get her, and others to safety. That would also give Tatsuki that explanation on screen. Once Aizens defeated, have Orihime use her power to eliminate the hogyoku like foreshadowed.

That would have rounded out Orihimes character much better. And utilized Rukia more. Maybe their friends join them while they are fending off Aizen. Just a thought. Just a little thought on where Bleach went wrong. I still love it. That doesn't mean I don't wish it went a bit differently. No I don't have a scenario for the final arc...that's a whole other monster.

Look if a Shrek 5 has to exist I want it only to answer 1 Question. Where the fuck are the other Ogres.

Like okay I get it maybe they aren't typically social creatures maybe among each other- which would explain Shrek living alone and not search for other Ogres for company, while also seeming a bit unhappy about being 100% alone all the time (with only annoying humans who are afraid of him)

But then Shrek 4 happened and like there's actually a bunch of Ogres just chilling living together - why are there a bunch of Ogres just chilling together cause Shrek never existed/was born?

But in the time line where he is alive they seem non existent? Dead? Living else where?

Also just at no point in any of the movies or shorts or anything has there been a moment of Fiona going "Hey wait you know what why haven't I met your family Shrek?"

Personally I wouldn't even go any dramatic route of 'oh he has some strained bad relationship' and my take on it is 'Ogres don't tend to keep strong family bonds / keep in contact'

Just one of those things where sure they care but once grown up and ready to leave they just kinda go there separate ways live their own lives type deal
