The strawhats restore energy function starts off meat, alcohol, cigarettes. Then adds cola, then milk. Meanwhile Nami, chopper, usopp, and Robin are sitting here having to scramble to gather said items. Mainly Nami and Usopp. Where's their restore energy item? I suppose you could argue treasure for Nami, but it's not consumable, so I dont. I guess water for jimbei??

Anyone ever think about sora's character? How he remains the same no matter what. Remember back in kh1. Kairi asks sora to never change, and he doesn't.

I've gotta give credit to mystery incorporated. It knew exactly where it was headed and mapped out its story extremely well. Episode one they sneak in a spoiler for the end of season 2. It isn't a one off either, they consistently do this.

You know, one day I'd like to see zero scouring through books for his latest attack name. You can't tell me he doesn't with the poetic names he comes up with.

Something about watching the character development in season 1 Inuyasha is so entertaining. Inuyasha really goes from
Guess I have to save this stupid girl to
Saving kagome has to come first
The journey is just so satisfying

Sometimes I think about Harry Potter and just how dark it is for a children's story.
I could go on for hours about the various extremely dark aspects, but right now I'm focused on the conception of Voldemort.
Tom Riddle Sr is a victim. Merope was a victim that continued the abuse.
Yes Merope was abused, but instead of just leaving, she chose to be abusive herself. Drugging someone constantly to keep them with you. Having sex with someone under the influence is extremely abusive.
People tend to think badly of Tom Riddle Sr. But really? Leaving was valid. Yes he abandoned his child...but I can't think badly of him for that when he was essentially escaping his rapist. She was essentially trying to baby trap him. Not to mention the fact that he didn't know about magic before so he was probably really freaked out. I can't blame him for running home.
It's framed that Merope died because he left....but really she died because of a cycle of abuse. She definitely could have lived in she didn't give in to despair, but she did. And that's also valid.
Merope is classic case of the cycle of abuse. She was abused, so to escape she resorted to other abusive behavior, it was desperation so when the fantasy she had created shattered, she lost the will to continue living.
This is so dark, what's even darker though is that we're told this in a way that frames it as the reason Voldemort doesn't have the ability to care for people. We could have just been given his life at the orphanage for why he turned out twisted, but no. It's suggested that he's twisted because of how he was conceived. Which is so twisted and plants these thoughts into children. A very incorrect thought that I hope doesn't stick to people's minds.
The message we are given is that if we aren't loved as a baby we will never be capable of love. That was the big difference between Harry and Voldemort. It's so messed up and twisted and this is a children's book.
I love this series, but oh my gosh is it darker now than I ever remembered it being.

When I say that my favourite atla ship is Zutara people assume that I dislike Aang. But that couldn't more further than truth. I love all the kids in team avatar.
I really like Aang, I just don't find his relationship with Katara romantically interesting and therefore I don't ship them.
So if you like both zutara and Aang please like or reblog this post. I want to see how many of us share this mentality.

I love how the gang acts in inuyasha
Kagome-the first to offer aid, doesn't ask for compensation
Inuyasha- grumbles but jumps into action at first sign, doesn't ask for compensation, but complains
Sango- is professional, asks for a small fee, but we rarely see it.
Miroku-gets as much compensation as possible. Sales his skills for goods, money, and boarding. Is the reason the gang isn't broke.

So the hype with aizen....like at first yeah soul society arcs reveal was great, but as the show went on? No. There was no explanation for how he got his information. I'm supposed to believe he's just so smart he knows what every character will do?
Urahara? Yes, because that's his rival in his head. Other captains? Yes, because he's an intelligent character. Momo? Yes because he manipulated the crap out of that girl.
Ichigo? AFTER he becomes a soul reaper yes. Even him strengthening him to fight him is fine AFTER he discovers ichigos hollow powers. For character reasons. Still seems dumb for an intelligent character, but arrogance.
Rukia though? Planning ichigos conception? You're telling me, he knew enough about Rukia, to freaking guess she would break the law to give her powers to ichigo? No. And planning ichigos conception is way too far. Especially for a character with no spies. We're just supposed to believe he knew things with no work because he's a genius.
Compare aizen to a similar character. Naraku was a similar character, but he had a network of spies and underlings he had complete control over, so we could accept his knowledge of our heroes.
I really like smart villains. But please please make it believable. ... Also refrain from making them a butterfly.
#bleach aizen#criticism#you went too far#bleach#kubo loves him some smart villains#i just wish he did them a bit better
