If you are a theater kid yourself and are also loving the show Interview with the vampire on AMC, The trailer for the second season was released yesterday and we have our first look at Ben Daniels as Santiago as the leader of Théâtre Des Vampires in Paris! With the way he played Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ superstar live on NBC, let’s just say get a man who can do both!

Side note: I also support the writers and actors who are currently on the picket line to protest for equal pay and to get protection against the use of AI. ✊🏽

Glad I’m not alone! I think there’s potential for a decent show, the fact that the story is gonna be almost entirely original could be to it’s benefit. If I were them I would try out some of the weirder ideas and supernatural elements from the books and sorta “test them out” in this show, see how it does on screen lol 😂

But yeah, a mostly episodic, monster of the week type show (albeit with less episodes and a bigger budget most likely) has a chance to be decent.

I said this somewhere else but the worst thing this show could be is boring, but I guess we’ll have to see!

The issue that these vampires deal with all the time and consistently throughout the books is the fact that you never die. You never know, really, what is the meaning of anything. And religion, throughout the ages, 'cause these are old creatures, is the main catechism that kind of keeps running at them.
