How do you think femmes Lestat and Louise would dress in the 1910s-1920s? I can picture Louise in beautiful dresses like the ones Grace wore but I can't decide if femme Lestat would wear dresses as well or dapper suits. Or both depending on her mood? Maybe she would do masculine drag as 'King of Raj' at Mardi Gras? And I wonder if either of them would be a flapper. I love your character and outfit designs so much so I wanted to ask your thoughts, I hope that's OK!

anon i was going to save this ask for later because i do have some art of them in that period and i wanted to answer this when i finish those. unfortunately i've been swamped with work rn plus i have some other current wips i want to finish first so uhhhh i dont think i'll get to those very soon lol so i'll just answer it here. in general i think Louise would dress quite feminine, very similar to Grace like you said. for Lestat i think she would wear both dresses and suits, though her dresses would have a different cut/silhouette compared to Louise's (they would be less flowy/ornamented and more simple/clean-cut). as for the Mardi Gras looks, initially i wanted them both in 18th-century ball gowns but i went through many different sketches of Lestat and didn't end up liking any of them because i didn't feel that they conveyed the vibes i want, so i guess for Mardi Gras Louise would be in a ball gown and Lestat would dress exactly the same as in the show.

yeah something like that. louise is an independent curator/art dealer who is working towards owning a gallery herself. lestat is a rockstar but she was already popular before that from making those inane tiktoks where people talk with a really self-important tone that tricks you into thinking they have something interesting to say but are basically just rants about nothing at all.
