I don't care who this offends when I say I fucking hate those of you who have almost certainly damned us to another Trump presidency I don't just mean those who voted for him. I also mean those of you who actively encouraged others to vote third party, who wished on another Trump presidency because you wanted to fulfill your anarchist fantasies, and an extra fuck you to those of you who actively encouraged people to not vote at all because at the very least you could have stopped him from getting the Senate! The fact that PAUL- THAT Paul Higgins was the one that went with Liams dad to Argentina is ripping me apart. Went with him to make arrangements, see the hotel, and the fan memorial. He really is still protecting everyone

Also just saw a video of them at the hotel balcony. Just retracing Liams steps trying to make sense of it. I really hope they are all doing okay

Not a directioner. Even at their hight I wasn't their demographic by probably more than a decade. And yet it hit me like a ton of bricks when I saw it unfold live on twitter. He used to be a talented, kind, cute, starry-eyed kid. And yes, I've read the news of his recent transgressions. Something happened along the way - something so hard, and bad, and unfuxable, that it opened a hole that nothing - the tens of millions $ he earned, the hundreds of millions of adoring fans he gained, the fame, the glory, the success, even the son whom he seemed to adore - NOTHING was enough to fill it, and steer him in a better direction. He was 31. This was supposed to be the beginning of the real adulthood. Instead it was a fatuously bad ending of a young life. That in itself is a tragedy. I used to be in a different fandom, many years ago. And we lost Heath Ledger in a similar way, albeit less dramatic and public, and he was even younger. I know exactly what you guys are going through. And fuck anyone who dares to shame you for your heart bleeding for someone who meant so much for you, and who was young enough to have time to find his way again, and redeem himself for his mistakes, and now he never will have this chance. You have the right to your pain, and your tears, and your sorrow. Grieve however much you need, lean into each other, and take as much time as you want. Love is always worth celebrating; it's equally worth grieving over, too. I wish you strength and patience, guys. Condolences for your loss.

The kid you loved wasn’t the man he became. You’re allowed to mourn the memory of your childhood you just lost even if you disapprove of the adult it made reality.

It's ok to mourn a celebrity it's ok to feel sad when a shitty person you used to love dies it's ok to feel complicated about celebrating a life that brought you joy and also hurt others it's ok to just want to be sad right now and deal with the other stuff later.

You're mourning the place in your life Liam held. You didn't know him, you don't have to make excuses for him, you just get to feel what you're feeling right now.

You're not a public figure and you don't have to construct a statement. You don't have to wash all your emotions until they are perfect and clean. You get to feel this.
