The plants are Eddie's idea.
Each and every one of them is rescued or adopted in some way: salvaged from a home that hadn't cared for it, up for grabs on the side of the road, forgotten in the corners of Home Depot, leftovers from wedding centerpieces that surely are going to be tossed after the reception ends. Eddie knows what it feels like to be forgotten, left out, neglected, and just because plants don't have a voice stand on lunch tables and air their frustrations with broken systems, that doesn't mean they don't feel. So yes, Eddie loves his plants, loves them with almost the same intensity that he loves their cat, Bruce.
At first, Steve just nods and shrugs and gives Eddie that fond smile that says I don't get it but you're happy so I'm happy. The same smile Steve wears when Eddie rambles on about Dungeons and Dragons, about the intricacies of being both a Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne fan, about why Mothman and Bigfoot and mermaids absolutely exist, Steve! It's endearing and warm, and Eddie loves him so goddamn much. Even more than Bruce, even more than the plants.
What Eddie doesn't expect, though, is for Steve to grow to love the plants, too. In true Steve fashion, he brushes it off when he pinches dead leaves from the Pothos, or when he smiles as he sprays the Boston fern. Eddie knows that, bare minimum, Steve cares about their plant babies and so when he ends up going on a week-long tour with Corroded Coffin, he doesn't worry too much about the little green souls that litter their apartment.
A week is a long time, and Eddie misses home so much that he doesn't announce himself as he barrels through the front door the following Saturday afternoon.
"Yeah, see? You’re doing great."
Eddie freezes in his tracks. Who the fuck is Steve talking to with that whispered voice? The one that, up until now, Eddie presumed was for him and him only. He knows he'd never cheat, but seriously, who's in their apartment?
"Atta girl, look at you! See, I told you, we'd figure this out."
He sets his bags down as quietly as he can, toes off his boots, and slowly pads along the beige carpet to peak around the corner to their living room.
Oh.
Steve's talking to their plants.
Eddie leans against the doorframe and watches as Steve smiles, wide and bright enough to replace the sun shining in through the streaky bay window, while moving from plant to plant, pot to pot, singing their praises and lavishing them with compliments and affirmation.
"You're growing so well!"
"See? I watered you and you popped right back up. You don't have to be dramatic about it."
"When your other dad gets home, we’ve gotta talk about repotting you. You're definitely outgrowing this pot."
Eddie clears his throat and Steve whirls around with a wild look in his eye that reminds him so much of the time he caught Dustin snooping in his campaign materials that he briefly wonders if Dustin and Steve actually are biologically related.
“Oh honey, I’m home!” Eddie singsongs and grins as he shoves away from the door jam, walking over to Steve who’s already rolling his eyes and groaning.
“How much did you hear?”
“Enough to feel a little jealous of the Boston fern over here.” Eddie gestures towards the large fern spilling over the sides of its planter. “You never tell me I’m growing so well.”
Steve sets down the watering bottle and pulls Eddie in closer, both arms wrapped tightly around his waist. Eddie melts, letting himself be held and loved. A week really is a long time.
“No, but I do tell you when you’re being dramatic,” he teases, pressing a soft kiss against Eddie’s lips that’s more the touch of smiles than of mouths.
Eddie pulls back just enough to catch Steve’s gaze, warm and comforting. “You do realize that I’ll never let this go, right?”
Never. Always. Forever.
Eddie was never one for absolute language, except when it comes to Steve. He’ll never let him live this down, because he’ll always be here. Forever.
Steve laughs, shaking his head. “I’d sure hope not.”

pt 1 >> IRONHEAD listening to let me hear you scream - ozzy osbourne
✰ “Y’re doing great, love.” He purred me through my orgasm.
I kept my eyes harshly closed, wrists tied above my head and legs tied together with a magic wand held nicely in place by firm ropes. I writhed helplessly against the restraints, the sensitivity getting worse with each moment.
“Calm down, baby.” He whispered, pressing his large hand on my stomach to push me against the mattress in hopes to ease the movement.
“Hobie, please.” I cried.
“Tell me that wit’ y’r eyes open.”
I opened my eyes lazily, trying desperately to look up at him. He was knelt next to me with wide legs, hovering over me. All I could focus on was his aching cock, stuck in the confines of his tight jeans. He was so hard that a wet patch was forming through the fabric, yet he was in complete control.
I let out a pathetic whine at the sight, knowing there was nothing more appealing to my lust-addled mind than to touch him and get him off.
“Love.. Are you cryin’?” He cooed softly.
“It’s too much.” I pleaded with him.
“Y’re only 5 in.”
A choked cry clawed its way from my throat at his words. The stickiness on my body was driving me crazy, covered in sweat, spiderwebs and cum; the view to him was nothing short of immaculate but he simply sat there like the world’s most self controlled man.
“Let me touch you.” I whined. “Please, Hobie.”
“No.”
“Please! You’re so hard, ‘s cryin’ for me, wants me so bad.” I sobbed. “Gonna twitch under my fingers.. Twitch on my tongue, gonna—”
“You’re riling yourself up.”
“Hobes, ‘m gonna cum, please, please, please.” I helplessly begged.
He took in a sharp inhale, steadying his breathing as he watched carefully, running his hand up and down my thigh. “Go on, love. Make it real pretty. Let m’hear you.” He spoke, attempting to speak clearly to show just how restrained he was.
I let out an incoherent mess of cries and begs, cumming all over the wand and squirming against the restraints again. His other hand began to brush my sweaty hair out of my face, watching the way his torture made me unwind.
“Fuckin’ ‘ell.” He gritted his teeth, trying to contain a groan.
“Mhmphf— Hobie.” I whimpered, the orgasm dying down and the burning overstimulation returning.
I used all the strength in my body to stop squirming enough to push myself onto my side, pressing my face into his strong thigh, the position was uncomfortable due to my wrists being tied to the headboard but it was the price to pay to feel him against my skin.
“Darlin’..” He laughed nervously.
“I need it.” I moaned, looking up at him through hazed, cock-drunk eyes. I nuzzled my face pathetically against his jeans. “Need you, need you so, so, so bad.” I rambled.
“You have me.” He answered, his voice shaking slightly.
A loud moan, followed by a loud ‘ah, fuck’ filled the air. I brought my knees to my chest as comfortably as I could with my legs tied together. Small whines, gasps and pants filled the air as I desperately tried to get closer to the handsome man watching every move I made.
“Y’re so desperate, ain’t ya?” He teased lightly, keeping his hands to himself, knowing otherwise he would probably break his iron will.
“Please.” I sobbed, 6 orgasms in and completely ruined beyond belief.
The squirming, thrashing, writhing, tugging, awkward angle and general length of the entire evening meant all 3 of us were worn down. The third, loud as day, snapped. Hobie perked up when he heard the sound of the webbing breaking, freeing my wrists from its hold. He was kind of impressed briefly; my hands quickly wrapped around his waist in a hug, pulling him closer to me.
“I should punish y’for that.” He spoke softly, stroking my sweaty hair once again. Though the fact I simply pulled him into a hug instead of going for his hardness was what convinced him otherwise.
I shook my head to say ‘nuh-uh’ as I pressed open mouth kisses on his jeans. “Close again.” I warned. “So close. I can’t—”
“Y’can do it, love.” He spoke sweetly, his hand gripping the back of my thigh to keep me in place as his other left my face to harshly grip the bed sheets. He leaned back slightly for a better view and that’s when he wrecked himself.
My hips jerked and spasmed, simultaneously grinding into and away from the vibrator. My breathing was racing and the sounds eliciting from my body only raised more and more in volume.
“Right there..” I pleaded.
“Let me hear you scream.” He groaned.
There was not much else I could do but abide by his request, though in the mindless state (despite the fact it was quite intentional), I reached to palm him through his jeans, crying his name out in several moans.
I could feel him switch under me as the sounds left my throat and hung heavy in the air. His hips jerked to the movement before he grabbed my hand harshly.
“Don’t..” He whispered, halting the movements though the pressure of it pressed against his dick was still enough.
“Please.. Need you.” I tried to whisper back, though it definitely didn’t come out like that. I continued pressing open mouth kisses on his jeans and trying to move my hand from under his.
He furrowed his eyebrows, breathing heavily and trying to gauge what the correct thing to do was as my hips continued to stutter against the wand, he kept a keen eye on me, his grip letting up just enough that I could stroke him at the speed he chose, limiting the movements.
“Y’re filthy.” He groaned, watching me lick a stripe up the fabric. His hips jerked at the sight and his composure was falling slowly.
He found himself giving in to my touches as I squirmed at my own pleasure. “Fuck, so much.” I breathed, mouthing his pants. “Ain’t 7 enough?”
“But y’re making m’feel s’good.” He panted.
“Can’t stop cumming.” I whined, feeling it get closer again as I desperately palmed at his cock; silently waiting for the permission to pull it out of his pants, the fact he was even letting me do this much was kind of a miracle.
HIs hips kept moving against my hand as he praised me quietly, watching me squirm into him, taking the punishment like a champ. He let out small moans and groans as he watched me palm him, nuzzling into him, pressing small kisses onto him, doing whatever I could in my goddamn right to worship him.
“Ngh— Fuck, ‘m cummin’ again—” I moaned, the downtime between each one was getting shorter and shorter and there’d either peak when I reached a moment of constant orgasm, or I believe I’d simply go numb and feel nothing but overstimulation and be a whining, crying mess, unable to orgasm any more.
His breathing hitched in his throat, he watched me writhe with that stupid lopsided grin, his jaw slack in awe as he desperately tried to fill his lungs with air. He felt that warm feeling in his stomach, noticing the telltale signs. “Shit, wait, y/n—”
His eyes closed, his jaw fell open and he gasped for air, small groans leaving his throat and his hips stuttering in place. His large hand forced me to stroke him through it, as he quickly accepted his fate.
“Fuck.” He hissed. “Let’s get y’fixed up, pretty baby.” He spoke quickly, pushing me off him, trying to be gentle despite his speed. He turned off the vibrator and let me relax, my tense body finally slump down into comatose limpness.
“Did you..?” I panted mindlessly.
“Shut up.” He mumbled, grabbing his pocket knife and slicing the webbing again, careful enough to not damage the wand, but quick enough to lay me down.
“Mhm, need’a washcloth.” I sighed, finally given a moment to sit back and catch my breath, finally able to relax after the considerate torture he put me through. “Feels gross.. All sweaty 'nd sticky.”
“I can see that.” He responded.
I laid on my back, watching him through heavy eyes, he scrambled to discard the webbing that was tight on my legs and waist, collecting the loose web still stuck to the headboard, to put the wand away and then to get the damp cloth I needed to clean up.
He tried to stifle a laugh when he saw the wet patch on the bed. He knew, in this moment, he wasn’t one to laugh, but he found the view slightly impressive. He ran the damp cloth over anywhere that looked particularly gross, starting with my face for obvious reasons.
 “Anythin’ else y’need, love?”
“Dunno.” I hummed, he sat over me, removing his t-shirt and helping me put it on my body. It was worn, but it smelt like him. “You gonna let me see the mess you made?” I commented as he held my body upright.
“I.. No.” He spoke. “Y’look tired, darlin’.”
“You embarrassed?” I asked softly.
“No..” He shook his head again, “A little. Just.. Fuckin’.. Gotta wash these now.”
I sighed, rolling onto my stomach and taking the pile of pillows in my arms, knowing that Hobie would come take his place underneath me soon enough, he just has to rid himself from his excitement.
He ran his hand smoothly down my spine, feeling the muscles relax under his fingertips.
“Go to sleep, darl’, ‘m gonna be a minute.”
“Wash ‘em tomorrow, I want you now.”
He took a sharp inhale, before finally giving in. “If I can’t get the stains out, you’re on clean up duty.” He threatened, though it was clear to tell it wasn’t genuine. He quickly slid into clean pj shorts before snaking his way into bed and pulling me away from the wetpatch and onto his chest.
“Hobes, missing somethin’.” I mumbled the reminder, being taken by sleep as I felt the warmth of his arms wrap around me.
“Mhm? What’s that?”
“Where’s my ‘y’did so good’?”
“Y’did so good.” He huffed in amusement, placing a soft lingering kiss on my neck. “Y’took that real well, jus’ took everythin’ I gave ya’, ‘nd y’looked so pretty doin’ it, too. Wasn’t too much, was it?”
I shook my head weakly. “Was good.” I sighed, nuzzling into his neck and letting myself give into the exhaustion.
“I love ya’, darlin’.” He said finally, continuing his whispers of praise.

𝕴𝖙'𝖘 𝕿𝖗𝖚𝖊, 𝕴 𝕾𝖜𝖊𝖆𝖗! (It's True, I Swear!)
Fem!Reader x Poly!Lost Boys
Okay, so I’m not great at doing these, but I want to start. This is mostly Paul and y/n, but there’s some Dwayne and a little Marko. David is mentioned also, but yeah.
Also, I tried to not put any descriptors referring to the reader besides the pet names.
And if you can let me know what you think, that would be appreciated.
TW: A tiny bit of swearing, but not much else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was just sitting on the railing, mindlessly playing with Dwayne’s hair (who was standing between my legs with his back to me) and talking with Paul, who was also sitting on the railing with me, about how he “met and hung out with” Nikki Sixx from Motley Crüe. “ I don’t believe you, Paul. Sorry. But I just don’t.” I tell him with a laugh. “ITS TRUE!!” He practically yelled. “Why don’t you believe me sugar? I SWEAR I’m telling the truth.” He says with a pout. I just shake my head and laugh. “I don’t believe you because you’re always telling me all these elaborate, fantastical stories that, later on, I find out aren’t even true.” I tell Paul as he continues to give me the biggest pout. “But this time it’s true y/n.” He insists. I give him a huff and and roll my eyes. “Fine. I’ll ask someone more reliable if it’s true. BUT if it’s not, then you owe me the biggest apology for lying.” I tell him. I wrap my arms around Dwayne and lower my head, pecking him on the cheek before resting my cheek against his. “Dwayne. Sweetheart. My most reliable source.” I start, making Dwayne let out a low chuckle. “Did paul really meet and hangout with Nikki Sixx?” I ask him. He turned to face me and smirked. “He did. He’s not lying this time, prince/ess.” Dwayne said, watching a shocked expression grow on my face. I turned to look at Paul and before I could even get a syllable out, I was cut off. “I FUCKING TOLD YOU!!” Paul screamed, pointing at me, causing Marko, Dwayne and even David to laugh. Paul had the biggest Shit eating grin on his face. He crossed his arms and just stared at me, obviously waiting for my apology. “Okay. Sorry I doubted you Paul. Guess you weren’t full of shit this time. ” I said, raising my arms up in surrender. “You should have a little more faith in me babe.” He said all smug. I just snorted and returned my hands to Dwayne’s hair. “Paul, it being true ONE time doesn’t inspire too much faith.” I say playfully. “Yeah, whatever.” He said, waving a dismissive hand at me. “I’m still right though.” He quietly muttered. “Aww. Come here babygirl. I’m sorry.” I say to him as I reach my hand out to him. He looked at my hand and wiggling fingers, then at me. After a minute, he gave in and slid closer to me and I wrapped my arm around him and rested my head against him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and rested his head on mine. “I have faith in you Pauly.” I tell him, causing him to smile.
“Did I ever tell you about the time I met and trashed a whole hotel with Ozzy Osbourne?” Paul asked. “PAUL YOU LYING SHIT!!” Marko yelled.

⚡️ ROCK N'ROLL HALL OF FAME 2024
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
➖ The performance of Dua Lipa and Cher and her introduction
Dua Lipa performed a song in honor of Cher, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony
At the beginning of the evening, the pop star performed part of the 1988 hit "Believe", and then Cher herself joined her to sing the rest of the song
➖ Induction into the Foreigner Hall of Fame and their performance
Foreigner were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night. The award ceremony was attended by original vocalist Lou Graham, keyboardist Al Greenwood and bassist Rick Wills.
Mick Jones and Dennis Elliott did not attend the ceremony, and Ian McDonald and Ed Gagliardi died in 2022 and 2014, respectively. Sammy Hagar, who hosted the band, said:
I'm really sorry Jones isn't here today. Mick, we love you, miss you and congratulations
Hagar also talked about his experience listening to Foreigner music, especially songs like "Jukebox Hero" when he started out as a rock singer himself.:
When you first heard this song, you realized that you were jealous. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest rock vocal performances in history.
After Hagar's performance, a joint performance of their songs took place with the participation of Hagar, Slash, Chad Smith, Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson
➖Peter Frampton 's speech and his introduction
Peter Frampton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and several music industry stars came to the event on this occasion
Roger Daltrey of The Who was tasked with officially inducting Frampton into the Hall of Fame. He began his opening speech with what many in the audience were thinking:
I was surprised that this guy wasn't inducted into the Hall of Fame 35 years ago. All I can say is it's about time.
The posthumous introduction of Jimmy Buffett
Jimmy Buffett was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 as a recipient of the Outstanding Musical Achievement Award. Despite being nominated since 1998, Buffett was never inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The singer-songwriter received the award posthumously on Saturday night during the opening performance of Dave Matthews, who became one of the winners in 2024. Matthews performed a solo acoustic version of Buffett's 1974 song "A Pirate Looks at Forty".
James Taylor inducted Buffett into the Hall of Fame, noting:
For many of us, Jimmy was like a hero from a Greek myth. His adventures were our adventures. We shared his great love of life. He loved being Jimmy Buffett.
He was out of this world, but at the same time he was always sane and always himself. Jimmy was a man who achieved everything on his own, and there will be no other like it.
Ozzy Osbourne 's performance and introduction
Ozzy Osbourne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, becoming the 27th artist to be inducted more than once, and joining celebrities such as John Lennon, Stevie Nicks and Neil Young.
Osbourne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by actor and Tenacious D frontman Jack Black:
The greatest frontman in the history of rock and roll is Ozzy Osbourne. Blizzard of Ozz cover "was the most metal thing I've ever seen, and I didn't even know what metal was" Then I went back to Ozzy's early albums, to Black Sabbath. And I thought, "Damn it, that bastard invented heavy metal... the darkest, heaviest shit the world has ever heard."
➖Completion of the ceremony
The ceremony of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 ended on Saturday evening with a performance by Talking Heads with the song "Burning Down the House"
On Friday, it was 40 years since the release of Stop Making Sense, a concert film by Talking Heads, which included the song "Burning Down the House", as well as accompanying live album

"Being Better: The Story of Robbie Williams"
youtube
A teaser trailer for the movie "Being Better: The Story of Robbie Williams", a biopic of Robbie Williams, has appeared. Unlike most films about musicians, here the main character is played not by an actor, but by a computer monkey, which was voiced by the singer himself.
At the beginning of the trailer, Robbie Williams admits that he has always felt somewhat wild – which is probably why he appeared in the image of a monkey. The video features one of the main characters of the music, "Let Me Entertain You" and the album "Life through a Prism" (1997). The original title of "Better Man" is the song "Sing When You Win" (2000), which is part of the Robert Williams song of the same name.

A snippet from polish teen magazine "BRAVO" [nr 13 / 17 June - 2 July 2003]
[eng translation] Metallica - Perserved with beer
Asked for a "recepie of longevity" James Hetfield said one time that: "You have to be moisturized with beer and not wear leather clothes and make up"
"As it seems, the recepie works 100%, because Metallica celebrates 20 years this year! The boys are still in great form, as their newest album just came out and its really interesting, because these gigants of the metal scene recorded it in completley different style till now.
Do you wanna know why?
Just remember one less than wholsome fact form the history of the group. Lars, James, Kirk and Cliff (first bassist), and then Jason, were partying so hard in their early years that they got a new nickname: "Alcoholica" - not a very funny joke in the hindsight, as 1,5 year ado James Hetfield, guitarist and vocalist, went to rehab. He came to the conclusion that it ----. It wasn't fun anymome.
All of these experiences are described - not literally of course - in the lyrics and hardcore tunes of "St.Anger" - ther newest Album.
"Now I have new will to live. I found my new strenght and the band found their new inspirations. We've made music we haven't done before. Robert Trujillo (our new bassist) is with us and we hope that he can stand us for quite some time." Explained Hetfield in one of his recent interviews.
Keep it up, man!" Smaller text
"Robert Trujillo - played with Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves and Ozzy Osbourne. He proved his worth not only as a bassist..."
"In exchange of shooting a music video in fameous prison San Quentin, Metallica performed a mini concert for the prisoners and gave 10000 $ for prisons baseball club".

Quote
Art-as-subversion runs very deep, of course. If in Greco-Roman art it’s sometimes hard to catch the subversive notes, art was considered insidious enough that Plato, within a chapter of designing his ideal state in The Republic, was discarding whole poetic genres and musical scales for being too politically dangerous. But somewhere in the 19th century the notion develops that a work of art can be most effective when it’s ugly, when it deeply mirrors certain social realities and presents them in such a way that the audience is spurred to immediate action. Napoleon praised The Marriage of Figaro for instigating the French Revolution and Lincoln credited Harriet Beecher Stowe with the Civil War. Opera buffs have been inspired by how a vigorous performance of The Mute Girl of Portici in 1830 bled directly over into the revolution that created Belgium; and stage actors are always a little miffed that their performances, however great, do not lead to the sort of murderous riots that broke out between the partisans of the dueling Macbeths, Macready and Forrest, in 1849. […]And then—this is my contention—somewhere towards the 1960s the culture simply ran out of ways to shock. Modern art abruptly reversed course and became interested in things like Land Art and Warhol’s practical jokes. All kinds of people continued to do very shocking things for the sake of art, especially in the garish ‘80s—Chris Ofili threw dung on the Virgin Mary, a Russian man nailed his testicles to the Red Square, Ozzy Osbourne bit off the head of a pigeon, Dee Snider (worried that Twisted Sister was losing its edge) filed down his teeth—but the secret was out by now, none of this was stylish but annoying and exhibitionist. Caught flat-footed were people like Albee, Ginsberg, and Gary. The assumption had been that artists were entrusted with the sacred task of “pushing the envelope,” as Albee insouciantly put it, but they were finding that the culture had gotten way ahead of them. And at the same time—and this was really unnerving to a certain type of artist—the culture revealed itself to be shameless, tawdry, and grotesque in ways that were supposed to be reserved for the avant-garde. So, in other words, a dead-end—artists simply repeating passed-down wisdom about their expected social role as risqué exhibitionists without really considering what they truly wanted to create.

It is well known that Sagittarians make great teachers, lawyers, performers, comedians, artists, philosophers, leaders and musicians. And even with Mercury in Sagittarius, great writers too. So that runs the gamut. So this is a comprehensive round up just in case you missed how multi faceted this zodiac sign actually is, its range is wide. Top of the list are the giants like William Blake who straddles poetry, art and mysticism, and Ludwig Beethoven whose work is monumental and will still be listened to in hundreds of years. But there was  also Oliver Messiaen who composed music  La Constellation du Sagittaire which was his zodiac sign.
Tumblr media
proteusastrologydotcodotuk.files.wordpress.com
Sagittarians make great magicians like Franz Bardon.  He was much less known than Aleister Crowley, but nevertheless regarded as one of the most important occultists of the 20th Century, and still we have Dion Fortune, let’s not forget, who was also a Sagittarian and an acute psychologist. for a modern Sagittarian magicians look to  Uri Geller. Needless to say Sagittarians also make great astrologers like Robert Hand Nik Kollerstrom and Karen Hamaker-Zondag and these are only the known charts.
Dec 2nd, is the birthday of Britney Spears, who in spite of her wobbly personality is still much loved and, when on form, delivers the goods as a performer. But so many Sagittarian singers. Note also Christine Aguilera, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and Nicki Minaj- who all love to perform. But before them some of the greats of old include Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick and thunder thighs (Sagittarius is linked to the thighs) herself, Tina Turner who became the ultimate Buddhist fulfilling the yearnings of her spiritual nature.
There are also some oddball singers Little Richard, Frank Zappa, Ted Nugent and Tom Waits, and there are two outstanding opera stars Maria Callas, whose voice no one can match, and Jose Carreras.
Sagittarians can even be great hedonists crazies who go off piste from time to time, but are still entertaining. There’s Jim Morrison of the Doors, Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath, Jay-Z and wild man Billy Idol. Some Sagittarians in this category can come across with a certain edgy swagger like Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.
Then there are philosopher teachers, leader and gurus like Osho, Bruce Lee and B.K.S. Iyengar also embody many quintessentially Sagittarian traits as ultimate teachers all offering some form of physical practice yoga and martial arts-which marries the higher and lower self. Iyengar said ‘my body is my temple and the asanas are my prayers’ but he also said, as a true Sagittarian, that ‘honesty is essential’ in teaching. With Mercury in Sagittarius he could sometimes be difficult to understand when speaking. But there’s also wiseacre, Noam Chomsky, who functions in dual areas as linguistic philosopher and political activist, and then there's author who popularises 'Life School' philosophy, Alain de Botton.
Then we have the artists and painters from Masaccio, to Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Jan Toroop to Lucien Freud and the ever controversial, Marina Abramovic. But one mention must go to French artist and teacher of painting, William Adolph Bougereau, His name was tarnished as being too traditional, not  being ‘modern’ enough by Picasso and the art gallery owners who ganged up against him and cast him into the margins of art history as an old fuddy duddy, but he was was as skilled and technically accomplished as any of the Renaissance painters, ran his own school and more hard working and prolific than any of the Impressionists or Post-Impressionists or Cubists.
Then we have the visionary Sci Fi writers  Philip K. Dick author of the stories that made it into film: Blade Runner, Minority Report and The Adjustment Bureau. Dick spoke of visions of the future that have if not come true, then are resonating widely. His imagination was as fertile as any and he worked at top speed even bringing downloads of Gnostic wisdom into novels like Valis. Also Arthur C. Clarke and C.S. Lewis were both Sagittarians. These are the big names in the field whose legacy remains strong.
And the film directors can’t be bigger Fritz Lang, Stephen Spielberg and Ridley Scott who directed some of the best known films in past decades and has just directed Napoleon. But working on a smaller, more intimate scale we should not ignore Woody Allen, John Cassavetes, and the lesser known Argentinian film director, Marco Berger.
And who is the most loved actress in the UK?  Yorkshire born, Dame Judi Dench as talented and versatile as any actress can be. But world renowned actors include Liv Ullman, John Malkovich, Christopher Plummer, Brad Pitt, Kim Basinger, Julianne Moore and Jake Gylenhaal, most of them known around the world not just in their home countries.
Finally the athletes. Sagittarius is a fully developed physical sign – the hybrid centaur- so we have runner Florence Griffiths-Joyner, Donovan Bailey, and Oscar Pistorius, and football player Kylian Mbappe, along with Tennis players Boris Becker and Monia Seles.
See who else you can recognise in the collage of famous Sagittarians and in the list.
And now to end with comedian Bill Hicks, a Sagittarian, capturing the essence of a daily thought in the minds of these fiery, idealistic spirits:
“The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it’s very brightly colored, and it’s very loud, and it’s fun for a while.
Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, “Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?” And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, “Hey, don’t worry; don’t be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.” And we … kill those people. “Shut him up! I’ve got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real.” It’s just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok …
But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here’s what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.”
If you think the world is accelerating towards a collective psychosis, you are not alone but it could be a  magnified reflection of our own fears. According to author Paul Levy to recognise that there’s a dream-like quality to reality is the first step to activating your creative higher self, and to use the Daimon- the inner genius or ‘higher’ self- is a way to counter the wetiko mind-blindness that appears to have become virulent in the world. This means taking a ‘quantum’ perspective and Sagittarius is at home with the quantum world and the weird and multiple perspectives and dimensions it brings to bear on the old solidified way of seeing reality.

Okay so if anyone knows, it's gonna be Tumblr. So I have this song that I used to like and I know it's either by Powerman 5000 or featured by Powerman 5000. And I have never owned any albums or been that aware of the band so when I came upon them recently, I went like "HEY I KNOW THEM!" but the immediately "...from where?"
And the only thing I can think of right now is this weird album with nothing but collaborations and feat tracks from various nu-metal and old metal artists. I don't remember what its name was, maybe something rocks? But it had the weirdest shit in it, like one band had feat from Ozzy Osbourne. It had some great tracks but also, most of it was shit so I ended up using is as a frisbee to play with my cats.
The other option is ofc some movie soundtrack. But anyways, it's definitely none of these:
Tumblr media
And this was something like from 2000 to 2004 at latest.

A bid for Black Sabbath bravado in “Friday Night Lights”
Tumblr media
Within the pilot episode of the masterful mid-’00s teen drama “Friday Night Lights,” we’re presented with two best friends. There’s the all-American, wholesome good boy, Jason Street (Scott Porter) -- the star quarterback of the Dillon Panthers, with little else but a bright future glistening in the crosshairs of his steely focus. And then, there’s his lifelong pal, Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) -- a lovable party boy who turns up to practice with vodka on his breath, and who has seemingly accepted the inheritance of a dead-end future from his deadbeat dad. If Lux Lisbon would have survived “The Virgin Suicides” to have a kid with Trip Fontaine, it would have grown up to be Tim.
Set in the small town of Dillon, Texas, the two teens occupy vastly different corners of the pigskin pressure cooker within which they exist. Nice guys like Street do well a place like Dillon, and he has everything going for him -- incredible career prospects, a head cheerleader for a girlfriend, and the entire town’s adulation.
Meanwhile, Riggins is shown to be a reckless rogue, forgiven for his sins only because of how great he plays ‘ball -- and how much the ladies love him. You can see him souring between scenes and his burnout feels inevitable and overdue -- living with his brother amidst a blur of blondes and beer bottles, with nary an emotion in sight. While Street trains and studies and earns his place on the pitch, Riggins emerges with all the discipline of Iggy Pop on a stage full of broken glass -- raw and wounded, he takes whatever fire might fuel that inevitable burnout and pours it like kerosene onto the field.
At a Panther’s Party hosted at Garrity’s Automobile -- the hottest ticket in town, folks! -- Dillon’s mayor, Lucy Rodell, squares up to Street to tell him some home truths. “You’re a nice boy,” she tells him. “And you got great manners.” And while he’s politely Yes ma’am-ing it up in response, she cuts to the chase. “Knock it off. You can't go into the game tomorrow night like that,” she proclaims. “Carpet bomb 'em, you understand? ...  Chew 'em up, spit 'em out.”
A closeted lesbian who clearly knows her way around unleashing a certain amount of repressed energy wherever she can, Rodell recommends that he listen to the early work of Black Sabbath, assuring him, “It’ll make you mean.” Boys can’t be soft and nice. Winners have to be mean and gristly. The survival of the town depends on this mentality: It chugs at a fountain of toxic masculinity and it lays waste to those who cannot swallow the broth and conform.
During an episode of the podcast, “It’s Not Only Football: ‘Friday Night Lights And Beyond,” Porter revealed that the sequence wasn’t scripted. But it certainly sets up the tone for the rest of the episode, if not the rest of the show. After all, it was Black Sabbath who performed, “Killing Yourself To Live” in 1973, with singer, Ozzy Osbourne -- a good boy who arguably had to make himself mean to survive -- singing, “How people look and people stare, well I don't think that I even care. You rot your life away and what do they give? You're only killing yourself to live.”
And while the song’s lyrics may be about the hollow nature of the music industry, the song could certainly apply to a small town community that rests all its hopes, fortunes, and futures on the score card of a teenage sports team -- no matter the cost.
That certainly feels true when Street becomes paralysed after experiencing a catastrophic spinal injury during a tackle on game night. The Rodell scene might have been played for laughs, but it lurches back into focus like a harsh foreshadowing: Was Street too nice? Too polite? If he would have been tougher, meaner, nastier, would his body have experienced the impact of another body differently? Would he have been protected by the dark arts of Black Sabbath?
Obviously, the answer is no. As Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) reaffirms to Street, his team, and just about anyone else who needs to hear it, the tragedy was blameless. Unfortunate but unavoidable. Life is cruel. Unpredictable. Much of “Friday Night Lights” pivots around this problem -- like a coach drawing up the strategy of an upcoming game, you have to decide how you’re going to play against the obstacles of being alive.
Alas, though apt, “Killing yourself to live” isn’t the mantra of the Dillon Panthers, but rather the searingly motivational, “Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose.” Like much of the storytelling on “Friday Night Lights,” the team motto doesn’t just apply to football -- it’s also a sturdy life affirmation that just about anyone in need can scribble onto the desperation of their morning journals. It’s a statement that urges anyone who can pay attention to it to remain sweet and vulnerable in the face of adversity. You’ll be dealt tough tackles, the mantra insists, but don’t lose yourself in the pursuit to overcome them.
Ultimately, it’s a mantra that suggests that softness, sweetness, and niceness can also create winners -- but it’s all about strategy. It’s no good being soft, sweet, and nice if you don’t how to apply those qualities properly. Alas, the universe -- and other people -- are generally not so kind. Make yourself too pliable, and life will contort and reshape you into something you may not recognise -- or at the very least, may not want to recognise.   As the show progresses, it becomes evident that much of “Friday Night Lights” also pivots around the “Can’t lose” aspect of that mantra. Say it isolated, without the eyes and the heart, and it sounds desperate -- almost deranged. For many of the male characters, their arcs in the show center around how they reckon with failure, tragedy, and defeat: What loss does to masculinity and how others perceive it.
For Street, it hardens him. But it’s earned.
During an appearance on “It’s Not Only Football,” the showrunner of “Friday Night Lights,” Jason Katims, revealed that in the development of the show, he was drawn to the idea of producing stories about marginalised people. “There were very few shows at the time -- or movies for that matter -- that really looked at real small town America [and that were] about people that weren’t privileged,” he explained. “Television, even the good television, was really about privilege.”
In the world of “Friday Night Lights,” all fortune is predicated on football. If you’re within the vicinity of the ball, then you wield a certain amount of privilege. Whether you’re a player, a coach, a financer, or a loved one of any of these people, then you probably have a little of power to leverage within Dillon. But that isn’t to say that this power is versatile or something that can be wielded within the real world.  After all, it becomes quickly apparent that being a part of the game doesn’t protect any of these characters from the indignities of prejudice. Nor does it salvage against the sort of failure that becomes of a person who isn’t equipped with the same access to opportunities as those with more privilege.
With the exception of a sacred few well-to-do, able-bodied white folk in the show, “Friday Night Lights” is populated by characters who are weighed down by obstacles related to poverty, abuse, race, gender, addiction, homophobia, and disability. However, part of the show’s charm is how it centers on these characters not so much overcoming these obstacles, but rather rising above the prejudice and bullshit of it all so they can figure out how to live their lives on their own terms. Even if that means leaving small-town Dillon, Texas -- and the team -- in the process.
In the pilot episode, Street is presented as being perhaps the most privileged person in Dillon. His parents appear to be happily married and of a fair, stable income. He’s straight, able-bodied, athletically gifted, good looking -- and, impossibly, almost ridiculously humble about all of it. But with one injury, much of that changes. He’s forced to reckon with being paraplegic while watching his family’s savings and income be stripped to the bone due to medical expenses and rehabilitation.
He’s reconfigured by the community that once heralded him a hero, and he loses access to almost all the corners of the world and the people that meant anything to him: His game, his girlfriend, his best friend.
While Street reconfigures his idea of masculinity -- featuring some bold declarations about simply being a cripple who wants to listen to Nirvana, moooom -- and toughens up in the process, Riggins stops fighting his emotions, and softens up, instead. When Street becomes paralysed, something inside his best friend breaks open and for episode after episode, he lets life pulvarise him into a tender steak of emotional frailty -- and it’s rare that he ever gets a swing in, himself. It’s a far cry from the beer chugging emo-void of episode one. Regardless, although Street accepts a tougher interior, he nevertheless maintains his heart. He might speak up for himself more now, but his actions are rarely cruel or without merit.
The character arcs of “Friday Night Lights” lean against this same principle again and again -- the people who prevail aren’t necessarily the ones who give in to the impulse to strike back and be spiteful or seek vengeance. But rather, its those who allow themselves to be vulnerable -- who take the hits without striking back and who rise above, soft and strong. Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.
But there’s someone who can put this far better than I ever could. At the end of the pilot episode, Coach Taylor makes a rousing speech to his wounded team. They’ve just watched their friend and teammate be carried off the field, his parents and girlfriend screaming from the rafters. Pushing their feelings aside, they were forced to continue the game and not lose sight of the goal.
“Life is so very fragile. We are all vulnerable. And we will all, at some point in our lives ... fall. We will all fall,” he tells them. “We must carry this in our hearts, that what we have is special. That it can be taken from us, and that when it is taken from us, we will be tested ... It is these times, it is this pain, that allows us to look inside ourselves.”
Crucially, “Friday Night Lights” hangs its cap upon the stern fist pumps of this speech. It’s a sentiment that offers the reminder that nothing is owed, and everything is earned. Mayor Rodell had it wrong when she encouraged Street to get mean and obliterate the opposition. What the show suggests is that the only path to true success and accord is to leave yourself open to being the one to get chewed up and spat out by life, not the other way around. The victory can be found in however you emerge from the other side. It takes courage to be vulnerable -- and to be vulnerable requires a period of transformation.  Even Black Sabbath dropped their meanness and bat-snacking to reckon with heartbreak via a piano-ballad, “Changes”  -- “The world had its evil way. My heart was blinded, love went astray.” Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose, boys.

The Importance of Music
I have always listened to music for many years, and I grew up with many of the old-generation styles of music like Indie, Rock, and Blues. Music has not only influenced my life but has also influenced the emotions that I feel. For example, if I was having a tough day and felt stressed, I would listen to music by Elliott Smith and Radiohead. I would choose either of these music styles because both appeal to my emotional state in the present moment. However, if I was having a great and exciting day, I would listen to Ozzy Osbourne, Journey, or Tupac to express my excitement for the day. These examples show how music is more complex than people realize and can have different ways of expressing a variety of music based on emotions. I believe that music not only appeals to the emotions of the listener but also can be used as a tool to express yourself as a person. Attending concerts or the Coachella festival is a form of expression towards your favorite band and artists because of the positive influence music has on its listeners. I feel that music has influenced my life because I cannot listen to anything without it when I am doing work; I have to have music playing when I exercise, I have music playing, or even when I am relaxing; I have to have music playing because of how influential music is. I believe what makes music so special is how it can build a community, and it is amazing to see how much music there is, with millions of fans who enjoy listening to a variety of music. What I personally like about music is how it can build connections with people, especially through social media, because while music is a combination of sounds and rhythms, it allows people to relate and connect on a personal level with emotions that the artists are able to project through music.

—six random songs from my “on repeat” playlist 🔂🎧🎵
1. Good Luck Babe! - Chappell Roan
new release from a rising pop artist I've been meaning to get into for forever -- she's definitely amazing and i'm proud to say she comes from around where i live :) that's always fun
2. Mark's Theme - Black Country, New Road
instrumental track that helps me kind of recenter during my day. the saxophone is just allowed to take up its own space and push through a solemn melancholy that still kind of seems to rise into something far bigger than where it meant to go when the piano backs it up. it's nice
3. Monstarr - Ennaria
there's a scene thing deep inside me that I can't escape
also it helped me study my fucking ass off for my horrific exams last week and sometimes i just cling to the same song desperately until i Get Through The Thing I'm Going Through and this was one of those times
4a. Mono no Aware - Great Grandpa
4b. English Garden - Great Grandpa
just so chill and soft. both are so good i couldn't decide between them so they're both getting on here
5. party at club bug! - spellcasting
i think this song is just my gender in its simplest form and its chill
6. Mr. Crowley - Ozzy Osbourne
It's symbolic, of course
*Honorable Mention: Big Iron by Marty Robbins*
It's fucking Big Iron

im just going to go on another ramble after months of not posting on here, theres some music i find absolutely beautiful because of the stories they tell. im a lover for complexity in what looks simple on the surface, but is an entire iceberg on its own.
my best example of this is "2112" by rush. the song is telling the story of how earth was deserted of human life in 2012, based on the aztec calendar that ended that year. 100 years later, a later evolution of man returns to the ruins of human civilization and have already formed a hierarchy and government system. one person discovers a guitar and learns to make music with it, being fascinated with the strings, the sounds, everything about it. he brings it to the officials to show off and see if he could make this discovery his whole life in their eyes, comparing the sounds to build high like a mountain and the notes to be falling gently like rain. he proposes to let the people make their own music, but is quickly shut down by the officials, saying its a waste of time, and what drove the old race to their demise, "another toy that helped destroy the other race of man." the tone of the song changes based on the emotions and scenery, who is talking and who isnt, its a perfect culmination of musical story telling.
theres also the musical stories being told of real events, whether personal or not. my favorite example of historical music is "run to the hills" by iron maiden, though a lot of their music relates to historical events. run to the hills tells the story of the americans overtaking the natives when colonizing the americas from three perspectives. the first being of the natives themselves, the second of an american cavalryman, the third of no single individual, though heavily criticizing the americans. i dont exactly have a great way of explaining why this song is incredible unless you listen to it yourself, as its easier to understand why if you read the lyrics to their entirety.
personal stories being told in music is another branch of musical storytelling that is just as amazing as the rest. "patient number 9" by ozzy osbourne is one prime example of this, as its based off of ozzys own struggles with mental stability. or theres also "montero (call me by your name)" by lil nas x. it was written the day after he hung out at a guys house that he was into, to make it more like he was telling a story. he described the humming in the song as a sort of mating call, and explained in an interview with genius as many key points as needed. this song was boosted for multiple reasons, the representation of the lgbtq community, but more importantly, the controversy. montero (cmbyn) was a huge deal among conservatives and christians because of its biblical inspiration and sexuality presented in the music video. honestly, it was hilarious. as a queer atheist, it was humorous watching these people get so upset over it, especially with the reaction video macdoesit made to the replies, but i digress.
theres plenty other examples i couldve put in here, but id have to make a whole playlist to get that point across.
tldr i like storytelling in music
