Hey, i would like to know your thoughts on the BE Welive that happened in March 2021 and timestamp 34:00 forward (i think) . I noticed first that Jk sat almost the entire time with his whole body facing Jimin and in that very timestamp, Jimin was saying something and Jk was watching him with a smile in his face which is normal but what was a lil abnormal for me was the fact that even after Jimin stopped talking, Jk continued to look at him with a smile kinda like he got lost in Jimin and you could literally see the moment he catches himself and looks at the camera. This is one moment i think about alot and i would love to hear your thoughts on it! Also, have you noticed that so many times while in concerts or pretty much anywhere, Jk usually has his entire body turnt to Jimin when Jimin is making his ending speech or pretty much doing anything? Another example is that episode of ITS where Jimin woke up late (as usual) and was the last to Join the rest of the members at breakfast and immediately he came in we had Jk sitting and facing him with his entire body. I have only really noticed Jk do this ONLY with Jimin (i could be wrong abt only) but i’m pretty sure it is something he does atleast MOSTLY with Jimin and i’m not even sure he realizes that he does it. You can’t fake stuff like that and that is one of the things that made me sideeye Jikook. Another moment too happened last year, during PTD in soeul, while they were on stage and someone was making a speech or something and all the other members were seated on the floor. At some point Jk, who is seated close to Jimin turns and starts staring at him while he (Jimin) is listening to what Tae i think was saying at the time. Jk stares at him for sometime and quickly turns his head away when it seems like Jimin was about to look in his direction. This is another moment i think about ALOT. I can understand looking at someone when they are saying or doing something but why would he be looking at Jimin like that when he isn’t even doing anything and someone else was speaking at that point? I would have added photos but for some reason i can’t. I hope you know the moments i’m talking about. Will love to hear what you think.

I feel like this one is referring to the live in Feb 2021 where Jungkook is in a blue shirt, Jimin in red, and both of them are seated next to each other on the (viewer’s) right side of the screen. Jimin was doing the acronym game and flopped the second letter, and Jungkook continued staring.

That moment is actually another favorite of mine that I clearly forgot about, but I remember at one point saying that I think I liked it more than MMA 2018, which had been no. 1 for the longest time in my book.

I generally disregard plenty of narratives where Jungkook is “staring” at a member, but the camera is dead on, and there’s no other activity around them and, more importantly, no one next to Jimin to mistake who or what Jungkook is staring at.

I think the reason why this is my favorite is because of how obvious his endearment (?) is when Jimin is neither doing or saying anything—literally.* I say “endearment” with a question mark (and this would also be applicable to my thoughts on MMA 2018) because I’m not Jungkook. That’s what it looks like to me, but without his direct input on the matter, I’m speculating.

* If you’ve not been here for a while, what I typically prioritize in figuring out pair dynamics is behavior. A lot of ship-related things usually end up being fluff to me, even if it’s fun fluff. I form opinions based on how they interact, which is why this blog experiences frequent downturns when there’s nothing to see.

The look on his face can span the gamut of endearment, amusement, admiration, comfort, etc., but I think it’s inarguable that whatever his thoughts or feelings might be, it’s a positive one. I’m not saying it indicates a relationship or not, whether there’s an implication of attraction or not, but it is a sweet moment on video that doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination.

Jungkook’s consequent, split-second reaction in which his eyes widen as if realizing he’s just gazing at Jimin at this point when attention is no longer needed is, again, somewhat speculative because it can be read a different way. Such possibilities exist, and I’m aware of what they could be, but I find that there’s very little wiggle room in this context. There are two things off the top of my head that could explain it, but this is one of those rare instances where I feel rather strongly about my first conjecture.

Anyway, it doesn’t prove anything, but it’s one more aspect to their dynamic that provides a little more depth.

Edited to add: I didn’t watch PTD in Seoul, but like with a lot of their stage activity, it’s hard to formulate an opinion without knowing Jungkook’s behavior towards the other members when they’re also talking.

Wshdjshfjs I should be asleep but I am not bc Them. Also my relationship w/ soulmate aus is complicated but this is one of two soulmate aus I have that have a special place in my heart ^-^

So it's the writing appears on your soulmate's body au bc that is one of my favorite concepts (and it's easy to do w/ multiple ppl wsjfjsj). Cel, Gerda, Kai, Gwyn, and Pinocchio are all soulmates with each other. Each of them has Their Color, which is just what color ink they write in. Cel is red (or purple, but leaning towards red), Gerda is yelloe, Kai is green, Gwyn is blue (light blue, to be specific), and Pinocchio is orange. For a while none of them realize Gwyn exists, as he's comatose at the beginning. When he wakes up, everyone is thrilled to have a fifth member of The Crew, so to speak. Also young Gwyn is VERY confused by the whole thing and it's adorable.

So with the whole Cel, Gerda, and Kai being childhood friends thing they realize they're soulmates fairly quickly. They're all very excited, and talk about what life might be like when they find the other two. Kai's a botanist with a somewhat shitty sleep schedule, so the other four'll wake up to see he took botany notes on his arms in the middle of the night. Secretly he takes his notes normally, he just writes down fun facts he learns that he thinks his soulmates would appreciate (they all always do). Cel writes recipes and doodles random shit, Gerda writes inspirational stuff, and Pinocchio usually just draws hearts. Gwyn, being a prince, will take notes about meetings n stuff he has to do.

Pinocchio turns into an inanimate puppet at the end of the last DP game he appears in, leaving his ultimate fate in-universe unclear. For the sake of my ship he gets better, though I cannot stay consistent as to whether or not to make him a sentient puppet or human whsjdjs. When no new orange messages appear for a while, after a worrying mwssage the contents of which i have yet to decide, they all assume the worst. So I have a very specific scenario in my mind where Kai and Gwyn are playing Hangman on their arms bc Gwyn can't be bothered to pay attention to his meeting. Unrelated but Cel's doodling on its other arm. But Kai puts down seven blanks, only to be startled when orange letters spell out "IM ALIVE" in those blanks. The idea of Gwyn having to pretend like he didn't get a bombshell and a half dropped on him amuses me idk why.

I also like thinking abt it from the outside. One day, the town baker doesn’t hum while they work. The guy who takes care of the forests doesn't sing with the birds in the early morning. The queen only nods politely, with the barest hints of a smile. The king is polite, but closed-off. This becomes a new normal for a while. A few months to a few years. Then one day it's like a switch has flipped, and everything is even brighter than before. The town baker is singing the most beautiful of tunes, and she invites her custimers to dance. In the early morning, the young man sings louder than the birds, but just as beautifully. The queen greets people with her brilliant smile, along with a hug if permitted. And overall the king just seems happier. No one in town knows what caused any of this. They don't know about the death of the unknown but very much loved Orange, or their sudden return.

But yeah eventually Pinocchio finally ends up in the kingdom where the other four live, and is taken into the palace even before any of them realize he's the mysterious Orange. And then it's all just wholesome shit from there. ^-^

okay this ended up being long so i WILL put this under a readmore LMAO

i mean the thing is i could write so much because their dynamic is both like the same but also SO DIFFERENT IN EVERY CONTINUITY so my thoughts on megastar changes depending on continuity like. how i feel about TFA Megastar is not exactly the same as how i feel about TFP Megastar or Earthspark Megastar or IDW Megastar but like...the one thing i like the MOST about megastar is just how dysfunctional and codependent it can be (sorry hkdsfh but also idk what anyone expects with megastar i...am not sure anyone ships it bc its a paragon of a healthy relationship)

which is like a whole other can of worms but i find that sort of thing interesting in general, bc like...ALL cybertronians to a degree are dysfunctional, some more than others, but that kinda comes with the territory of having a 4-million year long civil war and one (1) therapist (who is only in one continuity). none of them really know HOW to be healthy and it's interesting exploring that and the different ways they've been broken and the different ways they cope. and to me megastar is one of the MORE interesting examples because like there is something to be said about knowing someone and being THAT close to them for as long as megatron and starscream have. they know each other better than anyone else, which is both isolating and a strange comfort. if starscream or megatron were ever to disappear or die, the other would lose a not-insignificant part of themselves; i don't think either of them even remember what their life was like without the other, nor can they really imagine it. like starscream being megatron's SiC has them working together for basically their entire lives i'd imagine. which is like...also something i wish was explored more, WHY starscream is megatron's SiC. like show me why he earned that rank! show me why he KEEPS that rank, why megatron trusts him THAT much, because like...obviously he must be SiC for a reason. why would megatron appoint him as his second if he did not in SOME capacity feel starscream was capable of leading the decepticons if he's gone (so like...stories of starscream being hopelessly incompetent kinda frustrate me sometimes. like sometimes i find them amusing but man i would love more of Dangerous, Competent Starscream bc he is SO enjoyable that way too). like TFA Starscream is one of my favorite depictions of Starscream because he is a THREAT and you can INSTANTLY see with everything he does WHY he is rightfully feared by autobots and proves megatron shouldn't have underestimated him

they're messy and co-dependent and i wish i could find like DMs where i've rambled abt it bc i've definitely articulated myself better in those and i'm having trouble w words rn hfldksjh. i want them to watch the world to burn, together, hand in unlovable hand

I thought that he seemed pretty cool and was interested in ~the narrative~ so I decided to follow the Bengals, who do have a history that is vaguely compelling to me. It definitely has been enjoyable, even during that really rough first year (still have flashbacks to Week One of the 2020 season 😔). Josh seems endearing, it’s probably the vibe that he gives off that’s like some kind of big dog (however I’ve been jumpscared by that Gillette ad too many times so uh can I have compensation /j). I think his narrative from like talented but raw to being what he is now is neat (did this lead to proliferation in other NFL teams trying to draft a guy like him? i've only seen dm, some of arcv, 20 episodes of season zero and early parts of gx i am so slow but gx has been my favorite! season zero and gx have a very similar charm abt them. i dont really have a favorite persay but the amusement park episode of s0 and my most rewatched episode of gx has been tennis episode and a maiden in love. the most recent one i rewatched was the one where they entered the abandoned dorm!

for the first official date him & sacha went to the opera together,, sacha, who formally sang in a chorus, was fascinated by the style. it was at the edge of its seat for the whole performance!

neuvillette is no stranger to watching operas, so he got them one of the best seats in the house and was mostly amused by sacha’s interest

they don’t talk throughout the performance, mostly using body language and bursts of eye contact to communicate feeling or thought; they’re not in tune, not soulmates, just two guys who grew up more formally than most

anyhow, the opera quickly becomes their fav date spot. they typically go for a light meal before or after watching a performance :)

first, venam first impression: probably confusion but in the amused way. she was ridiculous and i liked her because of it

Gonna use this for just a related fact! Liam's an insomniac but when he gets tired enough, he can and will sleep anywhere. He also struggles to gain any weight past 'being a twig' weight and it annoys him.

5) Social headcanons (what do they think of their friends/allies if they have any, what are they looking for in relationship, what people tend to think about them...)

He had a friend group in high school that he drifted away from and really regrets having done so.

Liam always needs some kind of sound in the background, pure silence sets off his paranoia. He's got a lot of regrets but he regrets how easy he lashed out at others as a teenager and how much he struggled to put that into check as an adult.

I mean The Ships for him are Liam/Sketches (which is good for monster romance and just general wish fulfillment for Liam) and Liam/Sebastian (good for more grounded plots)

There's a bunch of characters of mine he'd never interact with: He'd be actually really scared of Van and vibe pretty well with Vice.

Both Greed designs are SO good but I miss Greed 1.0's vest with the fur collar. I also find it amusing Greedling basically just has Ed's same look but pokes fun at him abt his taste

HI so… per my last post today i did nothing but play video game ♥️. i havent done a wobbledogs post in a couple weeks in bc i got an ear infection and then my wifi adapter broke lol but here are some dogs i have loved recently... (im leaving a lot out bc.. there have been SO many since my last post. but these are like my favorite favorites over the last couple weeks)

this is vasthy! idk why i love them so much i just think she looks rly cool. a lot of the dogs she’s related to look kinda similar but.. idk she specifically just rly grew on me :D

this is PIGLET and they are just a happy little guy!! i wasnt expecting to love him so much but their pinkiness just makes me so happy and i love his little eye shape (it’s charlotte’s! in fact i may be wrong but he might be descended from her now that i think abt it? which would be funny bc of charlottes web lol charlotte and then a pig….) and also he was always just super friendly w the other dogs lol. i just loved having him around. an all around good guy

this is BEAK!!! i dont have many good pictures of her and u cant really tell from this one but she is my first dog who got honest to goodness horns out of nowhere…. and she has a UNICORN HORN at that! ive tried to keep horns on her offspring but i havent been successful yet and its rly frustrating lol but i will work on it

this is dumbo (named for those GIGANTIC wings) and he is the wobbledog equivalent of the get stickbugged meme lol. he had a difficult life bc as he got older he had trouble walking around bc his body got so long and his wings were so huge and his legs couldnt support him. so he would just do a lot of flips to move around and get stressed out all the time and i caught him in some funny poses (like the one pictured) but.. overall he did not have a good time. but i like him a lot and i wish i had done more to make sure he wasn’t in distress all the time

this is FLOCKA my absolute beloved!!!! (i FULLY meant to name him floppa after the meme bc of his coloring like the big cat… but i got it mixed up w flocka and by the time i realized my error "flocka” had already grown on me 💀💀💀) he only had 1 leg and he had a rude personality so instead of getting stressed he would get really angry.. and he absolutely STOLE my heart bc i started watching him rly closely and learning what would stress him out and removing the stressors before he could react to them badly! i was rly excited and proud of kinda coming up w a language to interact w each other... like he couldnt grab food a lot of the time so i would move it to this specific spot against his forehead that he would always get it from and things like that. idk i just love when dogs have like a unique personality or way of doing things that stands out and then i feel like i bond w them lol (throwback to charlotte 🥴) but thats flocka!

and THISSSSS is wammawink (solid green body, lighter red face... yes named after the centaurworld character 🥴) and her daughter wiggly (yellow hearts on green body, darker red / pink face)!!!!! wiggly is my first ever worm dog and bc of her i have completed every single achievement in the game except for one wing angel and i am SAURRR excited. wammawink only has two front legs (i kinda cheated by finding a dog code on the discord that i figured would give me a good chance of having offspring with 2 front legs 😭 but i nabbed her as soonas i saw her) and i had a TON of dogs w only two back legs to try to pair her with... it was actually soppy from one of my earlier posts who was the other parent to wiggly so that was rly cool since i loved them so much! i also am very amused / pleased that wiggly looks SO much like bambi.. like the same coloring and everything except bambi’s face is brown, same face shape and eye shape and pattern, etc.... so true of her <3

AND FINALLY!!!! LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!!! IS MY BABY BOY CUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am OBSESSED with his nose and as soon as i saw it i knew i couldnt let him go. look at his little paws i am SICK!!!!!! look at his EARS! HIS EYES! HIS SNOUT!!! WAUGHGHGHGGHH!!!! BABY BOY BABY!!!!!!! the pictures dont convey it (also all of these are from before he was an adult bc i was so focused on getting a worm dog when he grew up lol.. as an adult his ears and nose turned into a light purple and im still not used to it) but cub is absolutely fucking LARGE. he is maybe my biggest dog ive ever had. he was already a pretty big puppy and he maybe tripled in size as he grew up to the point where he can’t really sit inside the den now without having to bend his head. also this was more exaggerated when he was a puppy / juvenile but when he flies his wings kinda.. jerk him backwards and all over the place and splay out his hind legs? and i am SO obsessed w it its the cutest thing ever in the whole world. i love himmmmm 💓💗💝❣️💖💞💗💓💞💝💖❣️💓💓💞💗💖💝❣️💓 (also he literally picked up the fucking VACUUM and was flying with it in the first pic. icon behavior)

author’s note: ages are a year younger than canon so ranpo is 25, yosano 24, kunikida & dazai 21, fukuzawa 44, you’re 19, and atsushi and the other younger members are not employed yet

and i guess slight spoilers for the untold origins of the armed detective agency but not really. it’s just a reference to it tbh

going to Sakura’s the next morning wasn’t what Fukuzawa had planned during his week

the reason he was dropping by was to give you money for the sweets you had given ranpo

when he had arrived back at the agency the evening before, he had made a big fuss about you and Sakura’s

he had sparked a lot of people’s interest seeing as ranpo was well invested in whoever you were and what your business was

he wouldn’t stop talking about the “cute and annoying bakery girl” who practically saved the agency simply bc she sheltered him during the rain and fed him and almost got hit by a car for him

i mean, how would the agency survive without ranpo? it was founded to make use of his intelligence and ability after all

the other agency employees exchanged looks and that’s when ranpo tiredly sighed and showed them his phone

on the screen was a contact, yours to be exact, labeled “cute bakery girl” with the note underneath reading “best follower, sweets supply & annoying little kid”

around that time, the president had stepped out of his office to see his employees huddling around ranpo and his phone

he walked over to them and asked what was going on, and seeing the president, ranpo explained what had happened with more details

“so you’re saying that a young girl, 19 years old, nearly got herself run over to shelter you from the rain, gave you food, closed her business early so you could keep talking, and when the rain stopped, she gave you a map and even more food, and even though she may have been inconvenienced, she did not ask for anything back? nor did you offer to give her anything back? even though she relies from the money she earns to survive?

“...maybe.”

after a, private chat with ranpo, fukuzawa ended up saying that he’d go take a visit to Sakura’s first thing in the morning to pay off the sweets that she’d given him by sliding an envelope of money under the door with a note

he initially told ranpo to go back right away (and to bring someone with him this time) but that ended up not pulling through bc ranpo had told him you went to retire for the evening

so yeah

there he was walking towards your bakery when he saw a small black cat with green eyes near the entrance playing with one of the potted plants outside

even though it was small, fukuzawa could tell that it wasn’t kitten due to his love of cats but the cat was still small compared to other adult cats

when he was just a couple feet away from the entrance to your bakery, the black cat took notice of him and walked his way before rubbing itself against his leg

fukuzawa let out a small smile as he bent down to pet the small creature, and the cat gladly ate up all the attention

suddenly the entrance to Sakura’s bursts open, and there you are looking back and forth frantically 

but you soon spot him and the cat and you visibly calm down

the black cat rushed to you and rubbed itself against your leg

it turns out the cat was yours, and you couldn’t find him so you panicked and rushed out the door

from there, you introduced yourself with fukuzawa doing the same

you still had about a little more than forty five minutes til Sakura’s was scheduled to open but you offered fukuzawa to come in anyways

he declined at first, but he gave in when, just how you did with ranpo the day before, you dragged him into your bakery

“you know, fukuzawa-san, this is giving me some major deja vu!”

“it’s because of ranpo i presume.”

“oh! you know ranpo-san?”

when the two of you entered, you rushed to a table and pulled out a seat for him before you disappeared off into the kitchen

just a few minutes later, you appeared with a tray with two steaming mugs, two hot plates of food, and small basket of bread

you set one mug in front of fukuzawa as well as a plate of food while you set the other mug and plate in front of the seat across from him and the basket of bread near the center by the small vase of flowers that you had for a center piece

he gave you a confused look as you sat in front of him and as your cat leaped into your lap

“ah! it’s pretty early in the morning, and you still have to go to work later, so i thought you should at least have a little something before you go. and i didn’t have breakfast yet so i thought it would be nice to have some tea with some company. and i made extras anyways!”

fukuzawa blinked before letting out a small smile and he quietly thanks you

you beam at him and as the both of you begin to eat, you ask him why he’s here this early and how he knows ranpo

with that, the silver haired man addresses your questions and explains the reason why he’s here and how he knows the brown clad male 

after explaining, fukuzawa pulls out the envelope with some money and slides it over to you

you try to reject it, but somewhere in the back of your mind, you’re screaming bc you know you need the money for bills and whatnot

fukuzawa wasn’t very helpful either

“so you’re saying you don’t need the money?”

“...no”

you end up accepting the money much to your inner conscience’s chagrin and to fukuzawa’s inner delight

moving on from that, for the rest of the time he was there—the last 40ish minutes or so—you rambled and talked to fukuzawa like how you did with ranpo the day prior, only this time, with a cat switching his resting point for either yours or fukuzawa’s lap

honestly, you’ve gone through so much deja vu and at this point, you’re not sure if you’re still in reality or not

sometime in your conversation, fukuzawa learned that your cat, ironically, was named lucky

apparently you found him in an alley while you were grocery shopping two weeks ago and since you took him in, you noticed that Sakura’s received a lot of new customers and that a lot of them actually ended up becoming regulars

speaking of the cat, you kept having to stop lucky from eating the food on the table

if fukuzawa was amused from your antics along with lucky’s, he was pretty good at hiding it

you: “lucky you naughty cat! i already told youuu” >:(

lucky: >:3

fukuzawa internally: :) & :D

the two of you had also became well engaged in talking about different kinds of tea, with fukuzawa even complimenting you with the tea you had made for him

it became his favorite <33

you were so happy <3

oop there’s that kid-like behavior again🤭

speaking of which, the two of you also talked about the childish detective

it was kind of hard to tell whether or not you were admiring him <3 or insulting and complaining </3 about him lol

“so you’re the president ranpo-san was talking about huh. we talked a lot about his job yesterday! it seems quite exciting! but he talks quite a lot honestly.”

“ranpo talked a lot about you as well”

“ah really?! he can be a bit of an ass, but he really is amazing isn’t he?”

“mhmm”

through fukuzawa, you also learned how the two had first met, and this time, it was hard to tell whether you were amazed or angry at him

“awh that’s so cool!! but for someone so smart, he’s an idiot! what if he got hurt?! it was a good thing you got there huh fukuzawa-san?”

if you thought ranpo was like an older brother figure, you definitely saw fukuzawa as some sort of father figure

he noticed that you started to act like ranpo a little bit

you had developed some sort of attachment to him and when he praised you abt your tea, you had the same glow ranpo has when he gives him praise

not that fukuzawa minds

you’re just another child he’s adopting !! <33

not that either of you knew that hehe >:D

time went by pretty fast and before you knew it, there was only 10 minutes until you were scheduled to open

it was a good thing you had just finished all your prep before fukuzawa arrived

after making a promise with fukuzawa for him to come back again for some more tea, he stood up and made his way to the door as you carefully lifted lucky from your lap so you could quickly wash the dishes and to wipe the table and chairs you used

you offered some baked goods and some tea for to go but fukuzawa declined saying that you needed your supplies for your customers

as soon as you placed lucky on the wooden surface, he bolted to fukuzawa and kept on circling his legs and rubbing against him to stop him from leaving

i guess it turns out you weren’t the only one to get attached to fukuzawa

he couldn’t get even one step closer to the door without lucky reacting and running rapid circles around his legs to get him to stop moving

you didn’t know what to do and you were starting to freak out bc it was almost time to open up, but fukuzawa saved the day and offered to take lucky back with him and promised to take him back the next day

at first, like how you did with the money, you declined but ended up giving in when you saw quite a few of your morning regulars walking down the sidewalk towards Sakura’s for its opening

fukuzawa simply picked up the cat and walked out the door giving you one last wave of good bye

when they left, there was only about 5 minutes left and you rushed to finish the last minute clean up

when fukuzawa arrived at the agency (after a quick stop at home) with a cat in his grasp, let’s just say that quite a few more questions were raised

when asked about the cat, he simply answered that he was cat-sitting for a friend and ranpo knowingly smiled

but he then realized that fukuzawa arrived without any of your signature baked goods and he started complain as the rest of the agency members stared in confusion

with ranpo’s visit, they had quite a few questions, but with fukuzawa’s visit to Sakura’s, their confusion only grew a whole lot more and will continue to keep growing

Twisted Wonderland Reaction Part 12 ~ Sallie Mae Made Jamil Overblot Edition + Announcement!

About the title...yeah...its in reference to an EXTREMELY stupid ass joke found in this post...you’ll see...

I must say, even though I already read all of book 4 on my own, it’s still a fun treat reading it in EN simply for all the meme-able content the official translations offer! Since it seems like there won’t be any story updates this month, I’ve decided to continue reading book 5 on my own this weekend. There is also another reason I’m going ahead: 

Over on my blog @jasmariswonderland I’m working on a mock event story with  my twst ocs! The story takes place during the events of book 5 and is sort of a side story showing that some of my characters are up to during. So of course I need to finish reading for context but that shouldn’t take long since I don’t have to worry abt battles, twistunes or overblots. 😅

To the point when I was debating weather to do his fight again just to retake it, my bf kept saying “looks like Sallie Mae made Jamil overblot...”

Sallie Mae aside, another cool as hell overblot design. All these designs for the overblots are so cool and now I’m even more excited about seeing that Vil’s looks like. But also terrified cause I feel like his will probably be WAY more difficult than this one.

Okay! Time to get personal for a moment! Up until this point, I’ve had a certain level of sympathy for all the overblot boys and Jamil is no different. But Jamil’s sad story hit me especially hard because I was recently forced to sever ties with a group of toxic friends who, for more than  decade, were the only friends I really had. And my relationship with them was a lot like what Jamil has with Kalim. Without going into much detail, I realize in hindsight that there was a lot of uncheckhed envy on everyone’s part but especially against me. I was made to defer to another friend who, for reasons, had to be better than me at everything. What made things worse was that our other friends were pressuring me to defer to them and yet actively compared me to them every chance they got. 

One of the reasons I’ve been hesitant to continue reading book 5 is because even though I’m only a third of the way in, I can already sense that Vil has a similar dynamic with Neige as I had with this friend of mine and the parallels are even more clear to me. I hate to use this word but it’s been extremely triggering to me because these friends left me in an extremely venerable position that has only fed into my obsession with perfection and my self hatred. I have no friends at this point in my life and my creative pursuits are what bring me joy these days but one thing I’ve really appreciated and loved about Twisted Wonderland is the writing and how layered the characters are. That I can see my traumas in this story makes me feel strangely validated. I know that’s a pathetic thing to say but it’s true.

He doesn’t like showing off.”

“Which is silly,” Granger said, rolling her eyes. “I’ve told him, just because he’s good at it doesn’t make it showing off. I wish he’d play for people more often.”

“He has literally never mentioned this to me.” He felt utterly stunned and completely cheated. He tried to picture it and couldn’t. “How long’s he been playing?”

“Picked it up after the war. It was kind of funny, actually  --” Weasley started saying, but Harry came back into the room -- still pulling his shirt on -- and he broke off, giving Draco a significant look that told him to bring it up.

“Harry,” said Draco imperiously, to which he received two raised eyebrows as Harry fell into his favourite armchair and pushed a hand through his still-damp curls. Draco matched his expression and glanced at the guitar. Harry followed his gaze, looking genuinely confused.

“What, what is it?”

“When were you going to tell me you play?”

“What, guitar?”

“Yes, guitar.”

He shrugged and grabbed for one of the beers on the table, wandlessly magicking the cap off. “I dunno. When it came up, I guess.”

“The way your friends tell it you’re quite good.”

Harry gave Weasley and then Granger a sour look; both of them gave it right back to him, which was, admittedly, amusing.

“I can play all right,” he said vaguely, and took a swig of his drink. It did make some sort of sense, now Draco thought about it -- the tips of Harry’s fingers were far, far too calloused to have been just from casual Quidditch and Auror training. 

“You know, Harry, it actually comes off as more pretentious when you act like this,” said Granger. Weasley snorted. Harry glared at her. “Just play for him, won’t you? And us too -- it’s been ages.”

“Yeah, what’s that Muggle song you play sometimes that I like?” said Weasley.

“I dunno, I’ve played a lot of Muggle songs.”

“He means Wonderwall, Harry,” said Granger, grinning. Harry finally smiled too, and although their little Muggle joke was lost on Weasley and himself he was glad to see that it had apparently been the prodding Harry needed to give in. He set his beer back down and went to get the guitar; something about the way he threw the thin and fraying strap over his head, the way his hands went effortlessly to their places, was unexpectedly attractive. The left one curled easily around the neck of the instrument, heavily-roughened fingers finding their odd positions on the strings, something Draco had always thought looked very painful.

He plucked a few chords and then began fiddling with the knobs at the head of the guitar, tuning it in what was clearly the Muggle fashion, which against his will left Draco completely fascinated. Having no musical inclination himself, he could make nothing of the process except that Harry apparently heard the discordant notes in there well enough to be able to fix them, and finally when he brought his thumb down across all six strings it sounded as sweet and clear as if it had been done by magic.

“Course he likes Wonderwall,” Harry said to Granger even as he began playing, fingers shifting and moving and contorting to create the notes while he strummed softly, effortlessly, and the music crawled over Draco’s skin and inside of him. “I remember Dudley listening to it, like, what … summer before sixth year? On the radio constantly.”

“Sounds about right,” said Granger. 

 Draco had stopped paying attention to what they were saying, though. Either because the music itself had something haunting about its melody or because it was Harry playing it, or perhaps a combination of both, Draco felt a pit of emotion form in his chest to round off the edges of his growing arousal.

And then he started singing, and Draco swallowed very hard. Granger dropped a head onto Weasley’s shoulder and watched with a tender expression, Weasley similarly enamored. Harry pulled his head back, looking at Draco with an arched brow and an infuriating smirk. 

“What do you mean, ever? We’ve only been together three months, it didn’t come up.”

“God,” Draco muttered, and now he reached down and pressed his palm against Harry’s cock, pleased to feel how hard he was in spite of his ruthless teasing. “You’re so annoying.”

“Well if I’d known how randy it would make you I might’ve played for you a long time ago.”
