Mumbo!

As a dragonet, he always loved puzzles and machines and creating things, and finding little opportunity for that in the rainforest, he decided to leave so he could do more of what he loved. Fearing that dragons wouldn’t take him seriously due to being a RainWing, he decided to disguise himself as a SkyWing. His disguise is very easy to see through, but it has worked well enough and he has built a good reputation for himself as a vault designer. He met Grian when they were both commissioned to design a rich dragon’s mansion (as an architect and vault designer respectively) and have been friends ever since!

He has also, unfortunately, been stuck with the name “Mumbo Jumbo” ever since.

↳ CARING FOR THE SICK PROMPTS

It's a gesture meant to soothe and be calming. And yet it is not. Not for Chishiya. It's not comforting when the kind gesture makes unease settle in his bones like fish in a coral reef. Which is a rather funny situation considering Niragi holding a GUN TO HIS FACE had earned nothing more than a smirk and mock surrender gesture. Direct violence has never once made Chishiya waver, never sparked alarm or unease through him. But kindness? That does. It makes the ugliest parts of him pull themselves out of the darkest parts of his soul like skeletons from a tar pit. Every twisted part of him laid bare if only for his own eyes.

Chishiya leans away from the touch with the same casual yet calculated movements he always does, refusing to betray himself. If it looks natural, then nothing must be amiss. ( Except his scars still ache and frankly, he thinks being shot was less inconvenient than this illness. At least then his head didn't feel static or off-kiltered. ) THIS IS ANNOYING. Not the help even if it makes him uncomfortable, but simply being sick. He can't recall the last time he was actually sick. It was so rare to happen - although maybe this would be convincing evidence that he WAS HUMAN AFTER ALL. ( It had always been a subject of debate at the Beach. )

Even when Chishiya does reveal something personal, he has a way of making it seem both offhand and IMPERSONAL regardless of the inherent personal nature of the information.

my best advice to anyone who's still in middle/high school is to make your teachers think you are the nicest sweetest purest little goody two shoes on the planet so that you can get away with breaking rules fairly openly bc your teachers either won't believe it or will view it as a very minor issue since you're the perfect student
