The thing about twin peaks is that every town I've been to in forests is just like that.
They're all like that. I lived part of my life in a large forest here in the UK, one july I went to a cafe about an hour from where I lived, just happened upon it. The cafe was in a museum and I had a wander around, the woman on font desk reccomended a soup from the cafe. "Open til we shut" She said.
So after my walk around I found the cafe and I walked into the entire museum staff (5 people including the woman on front desk) having their staff Christmas party. Complete with a tree, crackers, and hats. All of them in gaudy Christmas jumpers.
To repeat. This was july.
They seemed put off to have me there, gave me a cheese sandwich and shooed me away. When I made it back down to the front desk the woman who saw me in asked how my soup was. She was the one who closed the door on me and my cheese sandwich no more than 10 minutes prior. She was now wearing the tshirt she had been in when i arrived again. She warned me that I was getting late (2pm on a sunny july day) and not to stay on the road when the moon comes out, "it's not safe in the trees when the sun goes down, you know how they get." I still have no idea what she meant but I never drove in the forest at night after that.
A while later I went back, new woman on the front desk, I remarked about the Christmas party and asked where her colleague was today. She told me she'd worked front desk for 20 years and their Christmas party was in early December.
I'm fairly sure they were screwing with me but I saw the second woman out and about in the village quite a bit but never the first woman. Was she real? Who can say!
There were loads more bizzare goings on but this one has forever stuck with me, sadly the family member I was staying with at the time moved out of the forest and I no longer drive to get myself there but that was a fever dream of a few years to say the least

Steve and Eddie meet through their local buy-nothing-sell-nothing group when Steve’s getting ready to move in with Robin and he realizes he can't keep everything he owns while trying to merge households with her.
The first time they meet, Steve hadn't even been meaning to actually meet the person picking up the free toaster oven he’s giving away.
He’s setting his toaster oven outside his house on the porch when Eddie hops out of his van to pick it up and it would be rude to duck back inside without saying anything since he obviously sees him coming up, so they make small talk for a minute and Steve has to keep his eyeballs in check because they keep wanting to rake all the way down this guy’s body.
He’s covered in tattoos and so extremely Steve's type, but he knows better than to hit on someone who lives in his neighborhood and is not here for that reason.
He laments to Robin about it the next day, about the hot guy who’s probably using Steve's toaster oven as they speak, who he’ll probably never see again.
Robin rolls her eyes fondly at him and tells him that maybe if he puts more stuff up for grabs on the facebook group, he might see him again, but Steve suspects she just wants him to get rid of more of his stuff so it doesn't overcrowd their new apartment.
The set of items he puts up in the group next is an old blender and a butcher block that has three of the knives missing—seriously where did those knives go? He has yet to find them.
He tries to pretend he isn't secretly hoping Eddie will comment under his post that he wants the items, but he isn't fooling himself when his heart literally skips a beat when the first comment is from Eddie. He messages him and tells him to stop by later that day.
When Eddie shows up, they talk for longer than last time, Eddie asking why Steve needs to get rid of so much stuff and Steve asking why Eddie needs all this stuff—especially considering Steve snooped through the group and saw that Eddie joined over a year ago and hadn't once commented before now (he doesn't mention that thought, but he is thinking it real hard).
Eddie laughs and says he was in the market for a toaster oven when Steve posted one and wouldn't you know it? He also needs a blender—the knife set is just a bonus, he says.
Steve tries not to read too much into it, but his brain is spinning the interaction around in his head for the next week.
He puts up a space heater in the group and within minutes, Eddie has claimed it.
“I should just get your number and text you directly when I find something I want to get rid of next time,” Steve says flippantly when Eddie comes by to grab it that night. “Instead of clogging up the facebook group.”
Eddie smirks at him and steps a little closer. He says, “Maybe you should.”
His neighbor’s car alarm decides to go off right at that moment, ruining the flirty atmosphere with its incessant shrill. They can barely hear each other over the drone of it, so Eddie leaves without giving Steve his number and Steve is left feeling like he keeps having these missed connection moments with Eddie.
In a fit of desperation to see Eddie again, Steve puts up a bunch of random stuff in the group the next day—a shoe rack that’s missing a piece, a step stool, a cheap side table he got from Ikea—and Eddie is still the first person to comment like he’s been refreshing the page, just waiting for Steve to post.
“I left without giving you my number last time and I didn't want to be creepy and message you unprompted,” Eddie says as they load the side table into his van. “I think I was overthinking things and then got kind of spooked.”
“It doesn't look like anything could spook you,” Steve says.
When they get the side table inside the back of the van, Eddie turns to him and admits, “A very pretty boy could.”
Steve can feel his face getting hot. “You think I’m pretty?” he asks.
Eddie nods. “Why do you think I keep coming here? There's no way a person who’s lived here for as long as I have would need all this stuff.”
“Did you need any of it?” Steve asks in a teasing voice. “Or were you just so blown away by how cute my profile picture is that you just had to meet me?”
“Oh, I needed the toaster oven, but everything after that was just to see you again,” Eddie says before biting his lip.
There’s an entire swarm of butterflies in his stomach when Eddie's hand brushes his, when Steve takes Eddie's hand in his and leads him inside his box-filled house.
Later, when they’re making out on Steve's couch—when Steve really should still be packing since he has to move in less than a week—he pulls back to ask, “Wait, so are you gonna put the rest of the stuff you don't need back up for grabs in the group? I feel like that would start so much neighborhood gossip.”
Eddie grins wide and Steve wants to kiss him again, wants to feel his smile against his mouth.
“Oh, we’ll be the talk of the town, baby,” Eddie says, pulling him back in.

shelter from the storm

eddie munson x fem!reader
When your power gets knocked out, your neighbor comes to check on you and make sure you’re okay. Among other things.

The lights in your trailer barely flickered as the storm outside knocked out your power.
In an instant you were plunged into total darkness, broken up only by brief flashes of lightning that struck overhead. The silence that engulfed you was almost oppressive, the outage having silenced everything, down to the ambient noise you had grown so accustomed to you only noticed it missing once it was gone—the distant drone of your A/C unit, the steady hum of your fridge, the static buzz of your radio.
They all ceased at once, leaving only the sounds of the storm.
You’d curled up on the sofa just as it was getting starting, your eyes drifting from the old black and white movie playing on your TV to watch the trees bend and sway in the howling winds, dark clouds heavy with rain rolling in to blot out the sun.
And if you just so happened to catch a glimpse of your next door neighbor outside weatherproofing his windows, dressed in nothing but gray sweats slung dangerously low on his narrow hips and toned, tapered waist…
Well, that was just a bonus.
You certainly hadn’t chosen this spot in particular for its view of Eddie’s place. And it wasn’t like you had sat here many, many times before to watch him lounging on his porch, strumming his beat-up acoustic, or doing maintenance on his van in a sweaty tank top that clung so artfully to his lean frame, showing off sinewy, tattooed arms that flexed with every crank of a wrench and made your mouth run dry imagining his veins bulging while he cranked something else.
No, you simply enjoyed watching the storm. Seeing the rain come down in sheets, darkening the earth and tamping down the dust of the main dirt road. You found it oddly soothing to see the garishly bright cracks of lightning split the sky before the BOOM of thunder that followed.
At least until the power went out.
You jumped slightly at it, in spite of yourself, heartbeat picking up in your chest as the sound of your heavy breathing filled the air. You inhaled deeply, taking a moment to steady yourself only for you to jump all over again as someone started knocking rhythmically on your front door.
It was Eddie. And he was drenched.
In the handful of seconds it must have taken him to leave his place and cross the road, he had been effectively soaked through.
His clothes were clinging to him, his white shirt translucent enough in some places you could see the black ink drawings scrawled on his skin under it. And his long hair, typically all frizz and fluff, had started to form into wet clumps, his short bangs plastered to his forehead, water running down his soft features. And his pants…
Well, you couldn’t even trust yourself to look down at his pants right now.
But even in his current state, his smile still shone like pure sunshine as he grinned and motioned behind you inside your darkened trailer.
“I saw your lights went out too,” he said. “Wanted to make sure you’re alright.”
“Oh…oh yeah, I’m–I’m fine,” you replied, shifting excitedly under the intensity of his gaze.
“You sure? You look a little…” His eyes flickered as they ran up and down your body, lingering on the sight of your bare legs in your sleep shorts, your thighs pressed tight together. “...spooked.”
You swallowed harshly, practically gulping as his eyes returned to your face.
“N-no, I’m just—” you tittered nervously, “Sorry, it must be the storm. I’m fine, really.”
“Oh. Okay. I, uh…I guess I’ll be going, then” he said, glancing out at the storm raging beyond the cover of your porch. You felt your bottom lip pull between your teeth as you watched him turn.
“Eddie, wait!”
You called out to him, words tumbling forth in a mad dash. For a moment, you feared the storm might be too loud and he wouldn’t hear you over it, but it seemed your voice had risen enough to make him pause, his foot hovering over the top step, Adidas slide being pelted with rain.
“Do you want a drink?” you asked.
He looked back at you over his shoulder and then slowly swiveled back around, the corner of his mouth turning up into a smirk. You licked your lips, still trying to be coy as you held his gaze.
“I made up a cooler in case the power went out,” you explained. “Y’know, just to avoid opening up the fridge. Wasn’t exactly expecting to need it so soon, but…”
You gave a little shrug of your shoulders and leaned up against the door frame. Eddie’s eyes traveled all across your body again, and from the salacious look in his eyes, you might have thought you’d just offered to blow him right there on your porch. Which you hadn’t. Not yet, anyway.
He jerked his chin lightly in a nod, Cheshire Cat grin spreading. Teeth showing.
“Sounds perfect, sweetheart.”
Eddie settled himself in on the couch while you went to retrieve a pair of beers from the cooler, lighting some candles along your way.
Seeing the one you’d preemptively set out on the coffee table, he leaned forward and dug his Zippo from his pocket. He lit it on his thigh, dragging it towards his body to open the top cover and then flicking it forward against his pant leg to strike it.
A long flame emerged from the silver box and he touched it to the wick, face bathed in the same wash of warm, orange light as when he lit up a cigarette or a joint. He caught your eye as you watched him from the kitchen and you chuckled when he started to expertly flip the lighter over and under his fingers, shiny metal catching the candlelight before it was tucked away.
He held his hand out for the beer you extended as you approached and you tried not to think too hard about just how large it looked as it wrapped around the emerald body of the bottle, his chunky silver rings only making his long fingers look all the more delectable. The flame from the candle on the table reflected in his eyes that had gone black in the dark. As though they were all pupil.
“Nice view,” he smirked, his gaze dancing as he nodded out the window at his own trailer.
“It’s okay,” you sighed, settling into the cushions. “Except for when my neighbor’s out there.”
“Oh, yeah?” Eddie’s brow arched, crooked smile still spread wide. “He must be super distracting. Can’t keep your eyes off him, can you?”
You scrunched your nose, bobbing your head.
“More like I can’t get a minute of peace with all the racket he makes.”
You stuck your foot out to kick him, but gasped softly as he wrapped his hand firmly around your ankle and pulled your leg into his lap. Your toes wiggled against his thigh and Eddie’s grip on you loosened. He brushed his fingertips in swirling circles up your bare calf, letting them drift lightly over your skin until he heard your breath stutter and felt you shiver under his touch.
Shit. How long had it been since someone had touched you like that?
Eddie stopped himself halfway to your knee, eyes lifting to meet yours from under a raised brow in a silent question of, is this alright?
And you aren’t quite sure of your answer.
You’ll have to let him know once you figure out whether or not you’re dreaming.
A clap of thunder outside restarts your heart in your chest. Your whole foot flexed instinctively, the dampness under it reminding you of how he had arrived, soaked through and dripping.
“Do you want some dry clothes?” you asked, drawing your leg back and tucking it underneath you. “I have some stuff you can wear, y’know. Sweats and a tee shirt.”
No underwear, but you don’t say that.
Eddie’s tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek and he stared intently at your mouth as he thought, startling when he realized how long he’d been quiet for. Like he forgot how to talk.
“I’d love it,” he said, eyes never leaving your lips.
You slinked back towards the bedroom and went to your closet to dig out the last lone box of your ex’s shit—your spite box, for lack of a better term. It contained all the things he’d been asking you if you’d seen anywhere since he moved out.
Things you felt he no longer had any right to.
Among them, a Venom tee from their Seven Dates of Hell tour you’d found at a flea market and he’d just started wearing because it was “too small for you, anyway,” apparently; and a pair of cashmere joggers you’d splurged on as a gift when he burned a hole in his regular pair.
“Bathroom’s through there,” you said, nodding towards it as you held out the clothes to Eddie.
He rose off the couch abruptly, crowding into your space so your bodies were just inches apart. His scent came off him and made a home in your nose, thick and musky like suede and a bit earthy like the weed he might have smoked earlier or maybe even had on his person.
You found yourself fluttering at the sudden intrusion. But you didn’t dare pull away.
His face was even more beautiful up close, littered sparsely with freckles you had never noticed before. The lines under his cheeks so deep you could see them even when he wasn’t smiling. The slightly round, almost bulbous tip of his nose that added to his soft features.
Warmth enveloped your fingers as he laid his hands over yours to take the clothes from you, so much electricity buzzing between you you half expected all the lights to jolt back to life.
“Thanks, sweetheart,” he purred. All low and rumbly like the distant thunder.
You tried to answer, but with your mouth and throat suddenly achingly dry for some reason, you could only nod as he brushed past you to go change. Blaming the lack of A/C for the way your face flushed and how your chest heaved, struggling to draw air into your lungs.
Reaching for your beer that was already starting to sweat with condensation, you gulped down a long swallow merely for some relief. And you nearly spat it out at what you saw next.
You couldn’t see Eddie, but he left the door open while he changed and his top half was just barely visible in the mirror. He was mostly shrouded in shadows, but the flame that flickered in there danced over the shape of his torso and the angular planes of his back as he turned.
The soft clinking sound of him undoing his belt preceded him dropping his pants, revealing that slutty little waist of his and the very top curve of his ass. Internally, you cursed your mirror for cutting off where it did and then chastised yourself for even looking.
Fucking pervert, you thought bitterly.
You returned to the couch and forcibly turned your head back towards the window. The rain was coming down so hard now you couldn’t even see Eddie’s place. It made your heartbeat quicken at the thought that he might not want to go back out in it anytime soon. That he might stay.
“These belong to numb nuts?” Eddie asked from behind you with a smirk you could hear.
He plopped himself back down on the sofa, so close it made you bounce slightly on the middle cushion, his knee now brushing with yours.
You paused for a moment, admiring the sight of him. The shirt was a little big, but it hung nicely on his broad shoulders and he’d tucked the hem partially into the waistband of the joggers. They certainly looked a lot better on him than they ever did on your ex.
“Technically,” you smirked back, “I kept them in lieu of alimony.”
Eddie smiled, but it fell slightly, his eyes cast downward to where your knee met his. He ran his thumb over the valley between them, touching yours and then his in a steady rhythm.
“You doing alright?” he asked. “With all that?”
You shrank slightly, thinking of all your fights with him Eddie might have overheard. All of the times you slammed the door as you stormed out and went to sit on the picnic table in your robe and slippers, eyes stinging as you tried not to cry.
You were so tired of crying.
More than a few times, Eddie had happened to come out with a cigarette while you were there. He always shrugged off your apologies, like he didn’t know what you were talking about when you told him you were sorry about the noise.
He’d just shook his head and muttered, don’ ever need to apologize to me for that as he pulled a Camel from his pack with his teeth.
Before long, h’d started to pull out two and lit them both at once before handing you the spare.
“I think I am, actually,” you said, surprising yourself with how true it was. “I…I don’t think I realized just how much of his shit I was carrying around with me until I put it down.”
Eddie nodded thoughtfully and his eyes flitted back up to your face, a proud smile on his lips.
“Good girl,” he said, his voice far too deep and his eyes too dark for you to mistake his intentions.
The praise trickled down your spine like you were underneath a shower head with a slow leak.
It made you squirm with need, nearly convulsing you wanted so badly to turn on the tap full blast and let the water spray down your back.
Eddie licked his lips and he nodded downward, making you think for one mind-melting second that he was trying to get you to look at his cock. But he was just indicating the pants on his legs.
“These are so soft,” he hummed. And your eyes followed his hand as he rubbed it back and forth across his own thigh before they lifted to meet his gaze. “You wanna feel?”
He shifted down in his seat, letting himself sink fully into the cradle of the cushions. Both his feet planted solidly on the floor, legs spread slightly apart so his lap looked like the most inviting and enticing seat you’d ever seen in your life. It made your heart hammer as you stared at it.
“C’mover here, pretty,” he said, patting his thigh once more. “Please?”
Your head shook on instinct. “Eddie, no, I’m—”
He silenced the too heavy already queued up on your lips by wrapping his hand around the back of your neck and pulling your face into his. He licked the words right off your tongue and swallowed them down like they were his abandoned beer.
The surprise of his mouth on yours made your mind blank, your body and instincts taking over completely as you scrambled on top of him.
As your knees settled on either side of his hips, he groaned deeply—not in pain, not grunting with effort, just with the pure joy of finally getting to feel your weight settling onto him.
His arms slid around your waist and he squeezed you against him even tighter, encouraging you to give more of that exquisite pressure. He kissed you until your lungs burned from the lack of oxygen, your head falling forward to lay on his shoulder as you tried to catch your breath.
You inhaled more of his scent, extra concentrated at his neck, making you dizzy with his musk.
He kissed along your shoulder, to your neck, to the lobe of your ear he took between his lips and sucked on it like it was your clit—hard.  And your reaction was more or less the same as if it was.
Your back arched, chest squishing up against his until his chin rested in your cleavage. His arms un -wound from around you to run his hands up the curve of your spine, making you shiver when his fingertips reached the nape of your neck.
“I’ve seen you watching me,” he husked gently in your ear, feeling the goosebumps that raised on your skin. “I know what you want…”
A gasp fluttered in your chest as his hands dropped to your thighs, rough palms coasting across soft skin until every single one of your fine hairs was standing on end. He then grabbed onto your ass, firmly gripping your cheeks in each hand to haul you forward in his lap, the firm shape of his hard cock pressing insistently against the dampness soaking through your shorts.
“How about…” He groaned low in your ear once again, his warm breath rushing across your neck, “...we see how many times I can make you cum before the lights turn back on?”

Thinking about monsters right now. More specifically shark mer and his little scuba diver human.
Hes a terrifyingly mesmerizing sight of one of the biggest white shark mers you've ever seen. His pale grey skin is just covered in faded and new scars showing off the many battles he has been in. Though even with his terror filling appearance hes quite gentle when approaching the swarm of sharks fluttering around an odd cage just bobbing around the water only attacked to a boat above by a thick chain.
Not even spooking the other sharks swimming around trying to nab at fish snacks and sniffing the chum filled waters he is more curiouse by the little creature inside the cage. Covered in a black skin like substance while their face is covered by an odd mask hes most consumed by thie odd fin covered tails? No wait this is a human so their legs.
It takes little effort for him to grab at the bars and give the little diver a big scare. This wasnt their first time seeing a mer but it was a first for any kind of shark mers. They mainly seem to keep to themselves far off in the deep waters far off from humans. Though you are glee filled to see one just there watching you as you toss out little fish snacks to the other sharks. You had offered him on thinking he was hungry but he didnt seem interested.
Instead of grabbing the offered fish snack he fiddled with your diving suits fabric, pinching at the black fabric sticking to your wrist before slipping a finger under seemingly entranced by how it wasn't your skin but infact a covering.
It wasn't long after that your trust in him was startled and his need to see and feel more pushed him into brash actions. His clawed hands gribbed at the cags bars before just bending them away. His strength was nothing against the thin bars as they bend just well giving him enough room to wiggle into the cage and press himself up to you pressing your back flush to the bars trapping you more then you where before.
The boat crew got worried when they saw the cage shifting causing the boat to bob a bit so they started lifting your cage back out of the waters. Only to freak out when seeing the cage emerge from the water showeing your practically pinned form under the large shark mer who is just barely inside the cage. His tail end hung outside of the cage while it swung slightly and his human half kept you under him as his hands fumbled with your mask able to pop it off and see your sweet little face. Warm with embarrassment and trembling in fear as an actual predator of the seas sat there playing with the neck zipper of your diving suit.
Hes just stayed there enjoying the warmth your little body gives off and loving how your pinprick eyes tremble. It's so cute seeing such a pretty little human too scared to fight against him as he rubs at your soft skin with his wrinkled and rough pads while trying to keep his claws from scratching you too much.
Hii!Hi! Its pan, welcome fo my contribution to mermay X3 iv been wanting to do a mer idea for so long but wanted something a bit more different from my softer stuff so here's a jerky mer playing with his prey >;3 I might do more of him later! I like this shark mer idea and might make him into an recurring character, anyways have a nice night and leave a comment if yah got any ideas!

one thing about rafe, if you call him he’s gonna pick up instantly.
“yeah?” he tries not to sound too excited.
“okay i hate that i have to do this, and don’t get any ideas but — i’m really scared right now ‘cos i swear i heard a sound outside my window n’i’m home alone and i just need you to come over and check just incase. please rafe i don’t know who else to call.” your poor little voice is quivering, all panicked and concerned and he can’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming pride. you were still his, even if you denied it.
“alright, you know i got you. stay put, yeah? i’ll be over there as fast as i can. you gonna be okay for another ten minutes?” he drawls, swinging his keys round his finger as he happily swaggers out the front door to his truck.
“mm… i think so. just hurry, please?” you let your guard down for a second, none of the usual sass or brattiness that you’d give him post-breakup to show him how well you’re doing without him — just pure vulnerability and fear, and he fucking loved it.
he shows up as quickly as possible, casually arriving at your door— making you jump when he knocks. he hears you fearful whimper through the door and bites back a smirk. “its me, kid. let me in.”
you have a moment of weakness when you swing the door open. maybe it’s the relief, or the way he’s standing there in a hoodie and sweat-shorts looking so cozy and unlike himself— but your eyes fill with tears, and you throw your arms around him. “oh god, i was so scared.” you sniffle and he beams, rubbing at your back.
“you’re fine, c’mon baby.” he hums, lifting you below your ass and walking you inside.
“rafe.” you groan at the cross of boundary, knowing that was too much affection for an ex.
“yeah yeah.” he puts you down and shuts your door. “so where’s this intruder, huh? or did you make that up to get me over here.” he teases, his hand staying on your back as you walk through to the living room.
“i swear i heard twigs snapping outside the window, it sounded like a person.” you pout and he snickers, shaking his head.
“probably the wind. or— or a raccoon or some shit.” he stuffs his hands into his pockets, watching you sit down on the couch. he stays standing, not sure what to do with himself. you physically relax at his words, realising how silly you’d been.
“yeah… i guess you’re right actually.” you sigh, before your eyes glance up at him. he suspected you felt okay enough to kick him out, and he couldn’t have that — so he jumps back into action.
“i don’t know, actually — you - you know, there’s some maniacs out there, right? maybe someone was watching you.” his mouth turns downward as he shrugs casually, watching the way your brows furrow.
“what? really?” that vulnerable voice was back. right where he wanted you. he nods, a faux concerned frown on his face as he scratches at his cheek casually, slowly rounding to sit down next to you on the couch.
“mm, yeah… yeah i think it’s… probably best i stay the night, right? safety in numbers and shit.” he drawls, voice low and raspy now that he was so close. your eyes flutter, wanting so badly not to give in — but the thought of staying the night alone was spooking you out, so you indulged yourself.
“…okay.” you agree unsurely, mirroring his nod without realising.
“yeah? you know i’ll protect you.”

I slam the door with frustration, spooking the angel patiently waiting by the door. I haphazardly throw my coat on the floor before grabbing the celestial’s hand and stomping into the living room. Forcing him to sit on the couch, I turn on the tv for noise and hastily unbutton his suit. “I need you now. Had a bad day and you will help me relieve stress.”
Tumblr media
In different years, Belo would find this way of life to be slightly insulting.
He's a warrior after all, a power. His kind belongs outside, patrolling, securing the well-being of lessers, fighting for the honor of their Highers and holding the safety of Eden on their shoulders.
Ah, but those days are gone. Long gone. His vision glazes sometimes, wet and torpid eyes lamenting the fate of many of his brethren. They, unlike him, didn't have the fortitude to handle their own abandonment, the newfound fruitlessness of their very existence.
It's one thing to never know what the meaning of your existence is. It's another thing to have that meaning embedded in your very core and never be able to fulfill it again. Sometimes Belo envies that freedom, that ambivalence of simply existing because you can, because you were made.
Also unlike him, his kin did not have the miraculous luck to find someone like his Lady. His Lady-Worship, his beam of light in a universe ready to swallow him in its poisonous darkness. The guiding hand in a world so new and so different, so degenerate. So horrid! As amazing and radiant as you are, Belo shudders when he thinks about how you made it this far intact without a celestial by your side.
With new meaning come new duties, understandably.
As Belo still needs to learn quite a lot to understand the symbolism of this new age, he worries himself with protecting your sanctum, making it the best version of itself, and keeping it painfully, effectively warded against all threats- Especially that fiendish "neighbor" you have, what disgusting absolutely abhorrent lifeform it is! Noxious creature!
But alas, your benevolence knows no bounds. Not only have you welcomed him into your life, you refuse to let that wretched pest meet its end. Truly, you are too good for this lost planet.
Now.
Back to his current task.
The sanctum is spotless, but alas, Belo was never taught how to prepare meals for lessers. It was not the type of discipline delivered to his cast. A guardian would know this, even a principality! But not him, not a power. Unfortunate and unacceptable- He must show adaptation and flexibility unlike ever before!
Which is why that uhm... Digital movie playing contraption you have comes in so very handy.
He never thought he'd be learning to cook from lessers, but here Belo is, hoping against all odds that he doesn't ruin the eggs this time. It's not that he can't handle objects in a gentle manner, it's that he's never had to taste things. Therefore, he doesn't know how to create the correct flavor.
And Lords forbid he ever present his Lady with something foul-tasting!
The power is sure he's got it down correctly this time however. Belo has just finished putting the eggs on the plate he intends to present you with, when he stills.
An acute sense of alertness and hearing means a lifeform like him is always aware of the movement around your apartment complex. He knows when your neighbors leave and arrive, which parts of their homes they're in... This also means that he knows when you're nearby, having memorized the noise of your vehicle -Such a shame that he can't accompany you to some locations- And the jingle of your mildly irritating keychain.
The angel scrambles to put everything together, wanting to be at the door with his offering in full display, so eager to see you-
The door rips open.
Only a nick of time allows Belo to secure his painfully crafted work of mediocre culinary, lest it be swatted to the ground. Sharpened eyes spare you great concern.
His Lady exudes frustration. Although his rank is not the most emotionally attuned, Belo senses a cloud of negativity choking you, your glorious features drained and tense. He's overcome with emotion.
" My- My Lady! Whatever happened today? Did you get hurt? Who d- "
The force with which you grip his hand is surprising for a human, dragging the angel only because he always allows you to. The food lies forgotten on the nearest surface. It's by his ever subservient attitude that you can toss Belo to the couch too, his silent confusion following when you activate the bigger display box.
" I need you now. " You begin, patience depleted. " Had a long day and you will help me relieve stress. "
He squawks the same way he does whenever his Worship starts these encounters without proper warning, wings fluttering and fur fluffing in a mixture of shock and anticipation. He fears that a part of him may enjoy getting pleasurably surprised more than any self-respecting angel should.
" But... " He knows it's not a good idea to challenge you, trembling as the last of his covering is undone. " You should eat b-before I service you, my Lady, many hours have passed- "
" I'll eat when I can't feel my legs. " The snarl you give Belo sends shudders down his spine, and he bashfully, albeit inwardly happily, readjusts to spread his legs for you.
" Excuse me but that hardly sounds healthy... "
His cock pokes out a furred slit, beading and twitching to interest. Although Belo becomes uncomfortably erect the moment you recklessly undress before him. It was not, as a filthy demon would put it, a slutty display. It was raw need, irritation and pure dominance. It was a side of his Worship he had yet to witness.
Belo refuses to ever admit it aloud, he cannot, he will not! But... But oh, the sins of the flesh. No, when provided by the superiors, they are not sins, they are gifts. They cannot be wrong. It's not wrong for Belo to enjoy your physical rewards for his work, but it is perhaps sinful of him to lust for more, to so eagerly hope that you'll allow him such pleasures when he performs certain tasks.
He does not touch his aching length because he's not allowed to. His pleasure is for you to decide upon, of course.
The angel prepares to slide down on his knees when you shove him back on the cushions by the shoulder.
Three eyes blink at you. " Am... Am I not to service you, my Goddess? "
You usually enjoy the touch of his fingers upon your most intimate zones, for training him is easy, and Belo adored the sounds of your approval. You did also curiously enjoy grinding over his face, a sensation that often left him pointlessly thrusting against nothing.
None of that today, it seems.
" Shut up. "
He was about to reply with a reflexive 'Yes, my Lady' before catching himself.
When you straddle him, the celestial only tilts his head, figure heated, but never expecting you to simply line him up with your entrance and slam yourself down.
Had he not been in the midst of breathlessly throwing his head back, Belo would have died from worry. As holy as you are, you share the stature of humanity, and Belo knows -F-From common sense, of course!- That his organ is not the same size of a human's at all.
He tries to articulate his concern, but the squeeze of your core around him is hypnotic and sickeningly euphoric. Belo can only hold onto full hips and cry his delight while you mercilessly hammer down on his cock, milking all the pleasure you can from him.
His melodious whines and resounding moans -Something he ought to control- rise in intensity as Belo loses himself and begins rutting senselessly, the tip of his dick nuzzling spots that make the two of you go stupid.
" Don't you dare cum yet! "
He wails, physically wails, body trembling so hard it almost spasms in his effort to reign his movements. " N- Never, never my Lady! I'm good, I'll relieve you- I'm good! "
And as if to confirm it, your serious complexion finally morphs into a self-satisfied grin, all lidded eyes and gentle, mocking affection.
He's the one that's not getting any relief soon.

I Want You to be Even More Naughty (Silvio)
Translations may not always capture the exact nuances or tone of the original text. Expect grammatical errors and inaccuracies. Slightly suggestive.
Tumblr media
Silvio and I were spending a leisurely evening on a certain holiday.
Emma: "Nnn."
Although it was still bright outside, the atmosphere of the night had already begun to drift as our tongues entwined in a lewd kiss.
Silvio: "You..."
After ending a kiss that made my body throb, he furrowed his eyebrows.
I looked up into his face as he put his hands on the bed to support his body.
Emma: "What's wrong?"
Tumblr media
Silvio: "Nothing."
Silvio: "I just didn't expect you to have gotten so good at it."
He wiped my wet lips with his thumb, making me blush.
(I've gotten better?)
(But he's right. I feel like I've become more accustomed to it.)
Emma: "It's all thanks to you being a kissing demon."
Silvio: "Huh? You're the kissing demon."
Emma: "No. You're the one who always takes the initiative to kiss first."
Silvio: "That's not true."
Emma: "It's true. Besides, even now, whenever I try to touch you like this, you still run away."
Silvio: "............"
I gave him a surprise kiss on the cheek, and Silvio's cheek instantly turned red, making him keep some distance.
Emma: "See? Told ya."
Silvio: "You..."
Emma: "But earlier, you didn't run away, so in short, you're the kissing demon."
Silvio: "Shut up. You're getting carried away."
Tumblr media
Silvio: "If you're gonna call me a kissing demon, then I'll have to act accordingly."
Emma: "What do you mean by act accordingly? Whoa!"
He grabbed my hand and pinned me down onto the sheets.
Before I could sit up, kisses rained down on me again, and his tongue forcefully parted my lips.
His tongue, rough and assertive, explored my mouth, leaving me breathless.
(It feels somehow different from usual.)
Silvio: "Stick out your tongue."
With his thumb under my chin, he forced my lips apart, his sharp gaze piercing through me.
Emma: "I don't want to."
Silvio: "Ha?"
Emma: "I'll definitely end up in some awful situation."
Silvio: "Ha! Scared now, huh? If you're going to get spooked by something like this, you still have a long way to go before you can call yourself good."
Emma: "..........."
Tumblr media
Silvio: "If you're frustrated, hurry up and do it."
(It's gonna be fine. I've been kissing him every day, and I'm no longer phased by things like this.)
Following his instruction, I stuck my tongue out, and he gently sucked and teased it, drawing out pleasure.
Emma: "Mm..."
Silvio: "More importantly, why are you fidgeting this whole time?"
Emma: "Huh? Ah!"
Before I knew it, he had slipped his hand under my skirt, seeking out my wet spot.
Silvio: "Just from a kiss, you're already like this?"
Emma: "It's because of you."
Emma: "Whenever you kiss me, it's like this."
Silvio: "........."
Emma: "You're the one who turned me into this!"
(It definitely wasn't like this in the beginning.)
(But by kissing him every day, my body has become accustomed.)
Emma: "Take responsibility for it!"
Silvio: "Ah, I see. Then, enjoy it to the fullest."
Tumblr media
Silvio: "After all, I'm a kissing demon, right?"
Emma: "Huh? What are you一Ah!"
Before I could register what was happening, he forcefully removed my underwear and spread my legs apart, his hot tongue trailing its way to my core.
His tongue skillfully rolled over my sensitive spot, sucking and delving deep inside, leaving my mind blank.
(If my body remembers even this kind of kiss, I...)
Overwhelmed by the pleasure flooding through me, my anxieties were washed away, and my body surrendered to his kisses.
Despite my body responding eagerly with each touch of his lips, I couldn't bring myself to stop him.

A Cat Named Eddie — part one
part one part two part three
--
Steve didn't mean to adopt a cat.
The little guy was sitting on the back patio by the pool, just staring. He was a black cat, perched on the ledge of the pool.
"Where did you come from?" Steve asked when the cat didn't spook. It just watched him, head tilting to the side a little when he got closer. There was no collar on it, nothing to signify that he belonged to anyone. He was dirty enough to suggest he was a stray and too thin around his middle. "Do you have anyone to take care of you?"
The cat blinked.
"Yeah, me either," Steve chuckled gently, reaching out to pet his head. The cat was apprehensive at first, pulling his head back and staring at Steve with wide yellow eyes. "Right, we gotta get to know each other first. Well come on, it's warmer inside, and I have food."
Steve wasn't sure if the cat would listen, but he seemed okay enough with the idea to follow Steve inside the house after all. He stayed close by Steve's ankles, not quite touching. "Food, food," Steve hissed, beginning to open up every cabinet for something that might be cat-friendly. "Oh! Cats eat fish, right? You want some tuna?"
Another blink.
"That looks like a yes to me, big guy," Steve laughed, decided to plate up a portion of a can of tuna.
The cat dug in immediately, even being so enthusiastic about the food that he let Steve sit down beside him and pet along his back. After the food was gone, the cat walked over and plopped down on the ground beside Steve, paw reaching out to grab onto his hand.
"Oh, more love?" Steve obliged, scratching at the cat's ear until he heard a gentle purr coming from it. "See, it's not so bad. You can trust me."
This was silly. What he should be doing is taking it to the nearest shelter, letting them know that it was sitting outside without any sign of belonging to anyone. He shouldn't be feeding it, petting it, oh, letting its sweet little head rest on his thigh while it slept—
"Guess I better get some supplies tomorrow, huh? You wanna stick around here?" Steve sighed, a smile worming its way onto his face as the cat relaxed against him. "You can stay. We'll take care of each other. Now you just need a name."

Eddie's pretty sure he's going crazy.
It starts with pretty innocuous questions from the kids when Steve comes to pick them up from D&D night. "Hey, how's Eddie doing?" Max asked when Steve got out of his car, standing by the open driver's side door as if to signal he needed to take off quickly.
It's odd that Max would ask Steve that when Eddie was standing right there, but he doesn't question it.
"Steve! Is Eddie settling in okay?" That's Dustin. It's been weird after the Upside Down, having been cleared of the murder charges but still not welcomed back into the hearts of the Hawkins people (though he's not sure he ever really had a spot there to begin with). It's nice for the kids to be worried about him, but again, Steve Harrington doesn't really seem like the most knowledgeable party in the room. Sometimes, though, it's easier not to ask questions and go with it, especially with this band of hooligans.
"Did you see Steve with Eddie yesterday? He was dancing around with him, it was the sweetest thing."
Eddie didn't know if Nancy saw something that he didn't, but he's fairly certain he did not get to dance with Steve yesterday. The thought alone had him curling a bit of his hair around his finger, eyes staring at the table distractedly. The thought of having that strong body pressed against his, so close he could feel Steve's heart beating as quickly as his own, hands wrapped up in each other as they swung to whatever gentle music Steve liked to play when everyone was around.
He wished.
But it's the day he walks into Family Video and overhears Robin's conversation with Steve that does it.
"Have you gotten Eddie to sit in your lap yet?"
What.
Eddie ducks behind one of the shelves before they can see him, determined to hear what Steve has to say about it. He wouldn't call it eavesdropping, per say, especially since the conversation is about him. He has a right to hear!
"No, he'll always sit right next to me instead," Steve sighs dramatically, and Eddie can practically envision the way Steve must be draped over the center counter. "I tried to pick him up yesterday and the little fucker bit me."
Now there's a thought. Eddie could think of a few things he'd like to bite o—
"But he did sleep in bed with me! Slept right on my chest until I fell asleep. I call that progress."
Now that's just cruel. Did Steve know how many nights he'd idly thought about the same thing? How many times he'd laid on his thin pillow and wished it was Steve's fucking ex-jock pecs holding him up? Was it all some joke, a way to tease Eddie after finding out about his crush on him?
Shit, that was it. Steve wouldn't do that, right?
Except.
Except Eddie can vividly remember the day when Carol Perkins and Tommy Hagan got together, and Steve had been so relentless in his teasing that even Eddie felt some amount of sympathy for the pair. That ended the second the two turned their anger toward the freaks and geeks of the school, of course, but it had existed for a brief moment if only because of Steve Harrington's ability to hurt when he wanted to.
Well two could play at that game. If Steve thought this was funny, spreading rumors and rubbing it in Eddie's face that he couldn't have him, well, he'd show him just what he was missing.
Eddie's heart races as he grabs the nearest movie case, sidling up to the counter and trying to act like he wasn't bothered by anything he'd heard.
"Hey, Harrington," Eddie smirks, dropping the case onto the counter in a move that he hopes screamed cool, cool, cool.
Steve raises an eyebrow, grabbing the movie and beginning to process of letting him rent it. "Can't Buy Me Love? Didn't think you were the RomCom kind of guy."
"I'm not," Eddie laughs. This could not be more perfect. He hasn't seen the movie, but he's overheard Nancy telling the plot of it to Robin in an attempt to get a date out of her. The universe must be on his side for once, urging him to remind Steve that he wasn't the only person who knew how to hurt. "My date insisted. I don't really get it though. Why Dempsey would give up everything for the pretty popular one is above me."
"It's a cheesy movie, but the plot has some p—"
"I mean they're all the same anyway. Perfect little airheads using daddy's money to make friends. Sure Amanda Peterson's character has the looks, but what else does she have, really?"
Steve stands stock-still, hazel eyes focused intently on the movie case. He seems so unbothered by the whole thing, carrying on with grabbing the cash Eddie'd slid over the counter.
"I mean, she's a perfect representation of all those sporty types, isn't she? She expects any freak out there to just want her because she's cool, like we can't all see right through the bullshit." That one felt like shards on Eddie's tongue, remembering the night Steve had told him about the Halloween party, about the public humiliation he's suffered and all the heartbreak that came after. Still, nothing could hurt quite so bad as hearing Steve mocking him, telling everyone they knew that Eddie was doing all of these things he could only dream of doing. It was a sick joke, one that deserved only the best retaliation.
Eddie could only relish in the shocked look on Steve's face, one he's sure matched his own when he heard Eddie and lap in the same sentence. "I'm sure it'll still be a decent movie though," Eddie finishes with a little smile, picking the case back up.
Steve hadn't stopped staring. His lips finally close back together, eyebrows drawn tightly as he considers Eddie. "Have a fun date then, Munson," Steve says, and Eddie nods his agreeance.
"Have a fun night too, Harrington."
He doesn't stop at Robin's loud shout of indignation. He doesn't stop for anything, continuing to his van until he can no longer see Steve's face.

yeah, I know that “the Fears work differently in TMAGP” and all, but isn’t it weird how much the Eye (for the most part) seemingly doesn’t? Like, lots of the fears in TMA had cults and roles and practices closely tied to their existence, and only the Eye gets to keep both the Institute (and, assumedly, by extension the Archive, which is already established as something core and closely important to the Eye outside of Jonah Magnus’ involvement) and its Archivist/s? Heck, it even keeps the tape recorders, despite them being so closely tied to the Web in TMA— while the rest of the Fears become more and more muddled together, the Eye as a Power seems to be far more separate and powerful.
The other entities left may have semblances of avatars, but none of them represent one clear Fear anymore, not like [ERROR] clearly represents the Eye. I mean, what is Mr Bonzo? The Stranger? The Flesh? The Slaughter? None of the “externals” fit clearly into one or the other, beside maybe Lady Mowbray. And even then, she’s got cannibalism mixed in, so there’s hints of Flesh again. And to add onto that, none of them seem to understand what they’re doing. Sure, most of them understand that it feels good and they want to do it, but none of them seem to understand what’s behind it. We haven’t met any cult fanatics with strange powers or people who use their patrons to their advantage. There’s no apparent Smirkes or Leitners trying to understand or catalogue them, not counting whatever the OIAR’s trying to do, given that’s probably at least partially led by the Eye itself with jmj and FR3-D1. Meanwhile, whoever or whatever [ERROR] is, they clearly understand their role. Their purpose seems a lot clearer than the other Externals, clearly connected with the tape recorders rather than being done just out of a need to feed or for murderous fun. Not to mention Eye-aligned things have always had more clear roles and purposes as opposed to other avatars— we don’t get examples in TMA of Eye avatars or entities outside of the Archivist(s) and the Pupil of the Eye, to the point (in my opinion) I don’t think there are any. Ink5oul doesn’t know why she does what she does, and she’s terrified. [ERROR] clearly understands why and what it is, even if we the audience don’t know that yet. I think it’s clear to me that the Eye may have been tricked in order to get out, but it still has some power above the other Fears in this universe. It’s still early enough that the other entities don’t have cults who know their names or establishments that serve them in secret, but the Eye already has the OIAR through FR3-D1 and jmj. It’s already watching. It tried something with the Magnus Institute already, it’s already planning things. Usually that’s the Web’s job, but we haven’t really seen much Web-adjacent stuff. A little addiction related things, sometimes a little creepy-crawlers and losing control a little, but nothing obviously Web (at least in my opinion). No spiders (sad. My arachnophobe brain misses being spooked by that in audio form), no manipulation, no grand plan you can’t— okay maybe a little of that. But it’s not as huge a focus as all the Eye stuff is, which is… weird. The rest of the fears seems to be grouped up together as more of a conglomerate of “Externals” that the OIAR (which is very Eye-aligned atm) “works” with in some way (interesting dynamic there. just reinforces the whole “the eye has the power still” idea for me), but the Eye remains separate.
Just makes me really curious how that’s going to develop once these Externals get more clued in on what they’re feeding.

TASM peter parker x reader
Tumblr media
peter rested against the window with a big huff, waiting patiently for you to open your apartment window that was on the seventh floor. his suit leg was halfway out the bag, his head dripping with a bit of blood onto your outside floor.
you finally came into your room, not knowing peter was there. your towel was on your body, fresh from the shower. you hummed slightly to yourself, peter smiling as he heard it. you dropped your towel and peter closed his eyes, knowing you (even if he’s seen you naked more then 400 times) would kick him out of the shared room between the two to get changed.
“ah!” you squealed, as you placed your shirt and peter’s head quickly went from the window to you. you were looking down at the floor paranoid, your shirt covering your top half and black panties covering your bottom. you crawled around, searching for whatever little insect that spooked you. peter had enough of waiting for you out in the cold, so he groaned when he moved and opened the sliding window.
you didn’t notice of how cold it got, looking underneath your bed for the rodent. you didn’t notice the new presence in the shared room either. “hey,” peter spoke out first. you honked your head on the bottom of your bed with a yelp, “you could’ve easily gotten murdered.” he giggled out, his smile brightened even more if possible. you looked up from your spot on your knees, “peter benjamin parker!” you got up, hitting his chest softly with each word.
“don’t scare me like that.” you sat back down on your bed, putting your soft silky pajamas on. “i liked the show of what i was seeing no,” he whined, dipping down to his knees and placing his head between your neck, leaving wet trails of kisses everywhere. you giggled softly, tingles all around your body as his connected with yours. “you stink,” you held your nose teasingly, looking at his eyes with one certain look.
he gasped at you, “however could you say that about me?” he kissed your lips, “you love this stinky boy.” you nod, “why yes i do— but i just took a shower and i don’t wanna smell like whatever you’re smelling. so please shower!” you shoved him lightly, kissing his dirty cheek.
“oh wait,” you looked at the spot that was damaged on his head, “no no it’s fine my love. it’s nothing but a scratch see?” he removed the dirt that was covering it, a long scratch it was. “yes but it looks deep peter.” you muttered. “i’ll put a bandaid on after my shower, but after that if you want to properly clean it you can.”
silence filled your room once again, and you got on your knees once more to find the rodent that was living rent free in your apartment you shared with peter. “where the heck did you go,” you whined, with a chancla in your hand ready to squash it as soon as it came out of its hiding spot.
five to ten minutes pass, and then the cockroach came out from the dresser. you gasped chasing it, and squatting it with the chancla you had. picking up the chancla, you looked at the bottom of the black shoe and made a gross noise. footsteps could be heard, and there was peter standing in the doorway with a towel wrapped around his waist.
“you got the killer little thing?” his sweet voice asked you. “mhmhm, disgusting. i can’t believe one was roaming around rent free in our apartment,” you sputter out while walking to the bathroom to flush it down. peter opened the shared closet door, picking his pajamas and putting his boxers on.
he put on his shirt, and decided to just sleep in shirt and boxers. you were already in bed snuggled deep into covers, so he drew the curtains of your bay window and turned off the light, putting the ceiling fan at a normal speed that the two of you loved it at.
peter jumped into bed with you, on his left side as you were on the right with your body laying on the mattress on your back. you turned your head towards him, a soft smile appearing. “hey,” he whispered. his arm sneakily and smoothly wrapping around your waist and pulling you closely to his body. “hey.” you smiled back.
“mm, missed you today.” he mumbled, kissing your head and your cheeks. “i’ve missed you more,” you played with the top of his shirt, running your hands down and leaving them at his biceps. his stomach moved ever so slightly, “got me ticklish right there.” he said, moving his face closer to yours with his eyes closed as his nose touched yours. “mhhm,” you gave him a sloppy love sick kiss, your lips parting ever so slightly.
“if i could, i’d stay like this forever.” he whispered, saying nothing afterwords waiting for your response. he waited and waited, then slowly opened his eyes to see you softly breathing and already asleep.
peter smiled, breathing in and closing his eyes and falling asleep after you.

Words: 1613
Pairing: Fox Mulder x Reader
A/N: I hope you enjoy!! Also damnnn this gif.
Request: A fox mulder and reader where she fires a gun for the first time in defence and is totally upset and shaken up by it. She'd been given one as a safety measure and she has to use it. maybe shes the secretary and theres an attack there? something residing in his and scullys office - Anon
______________________
“We're heading out to grab something to eat. Want anything?” Mulder’s voice was smooth as he spoke to you from across your desk.
You smiled and lowered the papers in your hand “I'm ok today. I actually managed to pack a lunch.”
The man smiled “Alright, see you in a bit Y/N.” He turned and made his way to Scully who'd been hovering in the doorway watching, and smiling, at the interaction between the two of you.
As soon as the door closed behind Mulder she let out a small laugh as they walked to the exit “Are you going to actually ask Y/N on a date soon or are you going to carry on pining for each other?”
The man let out a small laugh of his own “I'm not sure she entirely likes me back.”
“Oh come on. She does. Trust me.” she walked ahead of the man as the corridor got busier.
Mulder pondered what Scully had said and he could feel heat rising to his face. Before they'd even managed to leave the building he'd promised himself he'd ask you out by the end of the day.
Lunch moved slowly. You’d been picking on your lunch gradually and looking through paperwork and notes for Mulder and Scully. You'd been hired by Skinner a couple of years ago and mainly focussed on research for him. You'd got to know Mulder and Scully pretty early on but only in the past year had you specifically been tasked with doing research for them.
You'd been on one trip with the pair and that was a couple of months ago. You wouldn't say it was your most favourite thing in the world but you’d go again if given the opportunity.
You heard movement outside of your office door and saw figures pass the glass. Knowing not many people came down this way often you assumed Mulder and Scully had returned from lunch.
Picking up the pile of useful notes you exited your office and made your way to Mulder’s.
You gave a quick knock on the door before letting yourself in. “I've managed to find some-” You cut yourself off. The room was significantly colder than you ever remember it being and darker. Your friends definitely weren't back from Lunch yet.
You froze on the spot and were unable to move. Clutching the papers in your hands you listened to the room around you, it was almost as if you could hear the air in the room.
Sufficiently spooked you took another step into the room and took a deep breath. Moving to his desk you placed down the papers and reached for the lamp.
What you didn't expect to see was a hand move over yours as you went to turn on the lamp. Pulling backwards instantaneously you stumbled backwards and came into contact with something firm. There was definitely not a wall that close behind you.
Stepping forward you frantically looked around the room to see nothing. Freaking out you reached for your gun. You'd been given it as protection before the first trip with Mulder and Scully and had kept it since. Wise considering the type of people the two often came across.
Your fingers brushed the weapon as you continued to search the room frantically. Diving forward you switched on the lamp to give even a morsel of light.
You felt something grab your ankle and begin to pull. The motion entirely throwing you off balance and dragging you to the ground. You tried to kick out of the grip but there was no chance.
you caught glimpses of the figure. Not many features were distinguishable but the teeth, and smile, were unforgettable.
Reaching again for your gun you swiftly removed the safety and fired shots in the direction of the figure. Squeezing your eyes closed you dropped the gun and cowered backwards away from its grip.
Mulder and Scully had heard the first shot and instantly began to run towards the sound, unknowing of what would be on the other end. Mulder burst through the door as you fired the final shot and watched as a figure relaxed on the floor and you huddled into yourself. The room seemed to get brighter and the temperature increased to a normal level in a split second. Mulder dropped the bag he'd been holding and dived instinctively to his knees beside you as Scully called for help and assessed the other form in the room.
“Y/N what happened?” the man's eyes explored you for any injuries quickly.
You brought your head up and looked at the man, tears instantly welling up. “I- I came down to talk to you about some notes.” you rushed out “it was cold and dark… I went to turn on a light but… someone was here… he grabbed me… pulled me down.”
He could see that you were getting more and more distraught as you spoke. The man reached out his hand to your arm to reassure you. The moment he did so your tears broke through their barrier and would not stop falling.
You began to sob and were entirely incoherent. Mulder’s only instinct was to pull you into him.
He wrapped his arms around you and held you close. He rested his chin on top of your head “It's ok. I'm here now. You're safe.” he reassured.
You nodded against him and tried to ebb your tears, knowing others were probably in the room by now. Pulling away you wiped your tears “Thank you.” you whispered.
Going to stand the man beat you to it and offered you his hand. Accepting you allowed him to help you to your feet. “I’m going to my office.”
“Someone should really check you’re-” Scully started before Mulder gave her a small, yet certain, shake of his head.
You walked down the corridor and allowed autopilot to take you back to your office. Upon getting there you made a B line for your chair and flopped into it. Grabbing your bottle you took a sip of water as Mulder came in through the door, a small bag in his hand.
“I got you this. I was hoping I could give it to you under better circumstances but you probably need it more now.”
You took the bag from the man and felt your insides get a little lighter. Opening the bag you were faced with a cookie. “Thank you.”
“No problem.” the man hesitated for a second before taking a seat across from you.
The man kept you distracted and got you talking. You were soon called into Skinner's office to make an official report on the incident before returning to your office. Mulder was still sat in the chair across from your desk unmoved.
You gave him a smile and began to pack up your things “Skinner said I could go home early.”
Mulder glanced at the clock and scoffed “It's half an hour before your scheduled end time, as if he's actually being generous.”
You shrugged “I'll take it either way.”
“Will you be alright alone?” the mans words were sincere and full of concern
Your eyes met his and you could see the emotion behind them but couldn't bring yourself to answer his question, were you to lie and say yes?
“I know how difficult something like this can be. Especially the first time.” his eyes left yours before returning.
“I think being alone is unwise” you admitted, pulling your eyes back to your bag “Don't feel like you have to-”
“Anything Y/N, I can come to yours or you to mine I don't mind.”
“Mine? I'd like home comforts.” you began to move around your desk towards him. The man agreed and you were soon on your way back to yours.
Grabbing all the snacks you could from the cupboards you made your way over to the sofa and placed the snacks you’d gathered onto the coffee table. Sitting next to the man you pulled a blanket over yourself. In the time it’d taken you to change into pyjamas and grab the snacks the man had also changed into the comfy clothes he kept in the back of his car and chosen something to watch on TV.
“I’m sorry this isn’t proper food.” you gestured to the snacks.
The man waved you off “It’s alright, something’s better than nothing.” he shifted himself so he was angled more towards you, his knees touching yours. “Actually, on the topic of food.”
“Yeah?” you looked at the man.
“How about we go and get a nice dinner sometime? I know you haven’t had a great day but I promised myself I’d ask today.”
Your brain stuttered for a moment “dinner?”
“Like a date” his eyes softened as he clarified what he meant.
You searched his face as a smile found your lips “That would be nice.”
“Good.” he smiled and settled back into the sofa.
Taking a risk you moved to be closer to the man, to your delight he stretched his arm around you. Feeling your chest flip for a moment you trained your eyes on the TV.
“What’ve you picked?” you questioned as the adverts rolled.
“It’s one of those bad reality shows about cops.” he put emphasis around the word reality “It’s bound to be amazing.” he said sarcastically.
You laughed at his remark “There’s nothing I love more than bad TV.”
The two of you relaxed further, content in the knowledge you felt the same way for each other.
The day had been long but you were thankful that you had someone as caring as Mulder to distract you.

All The Things I Did (4): The Only Thing That I See
Tumblr media
a/n: ok this is the one i warned you guys was horny but i'm sure its actually to our benefit. this is setting up the next couple big plot pieces: harding's arrival and his past with cass, john demoting himself to fly again, cass' next mission and a whole lot more. happy to chat about any of it//we had a great little sleepover in my inbox and i saved a couple to answer over the next few days. more interludes in the chute, submissions still open, and a new masterpost pinned to my blog. happy reading!
When Mary knocked on Cass’ door before the sun was out and warned her it was pancakes for breakfast, it meant the men were flying today. She was looking forward to this raid in particular as the coordinates for the U-boat pens had been passed to her by a new potential source during a previous trip to Belgium. Surveillance planes had confirmed their location but it meant that Colonel Huglin would want her to brief prior to wheels up. John wasn’t flying but he would be watching. She wanted to impress him. Offer him a little bit of insight into the work that she did. Show him the bumps and bruises were worth it if it brought the war to an end even a moment sooner.
He wasn’t outside waiting for her to get breakfast and her heart fell but she knew he was busy. A piece of her was curious what John Egan, Air Exec behaved like. She imagined he was more stoic and held quite the presence. Or maybe he was exactly the same and more of a pain in the Colonel’s side than anything else. Cass smiled to herself as she walked toward the HQ offices. Yeah, that definitely seemed more like her John.
----
He was rifling through papers when she entered the bullpen, calling out headings to the navigators and dodging orderlies delivering cups of coffee. She dropped her jacket off at her desk without anyone noticing and approached the map with small airplanes meant to simulate the raid.
“A few degrees to the east, gentleman. Otherwise, you’ll miss the last loading dock.” Her fingers nudged the group of planes in the correct direction then she stepped back and let the stares wash over her. Deep breaths, Cass. You know you’re right.
“Gentlemen, surely you’ve all at least heard of Lieutenant Cooper. She is the one responsible for locating these pens for today’s raid.” Some of them nodded with respect, others rolled their eyes or scoffed. Most of them seemed ambivalent.
“I’ll be at my desk should any questions arise, Colonel.” Yet all of them could agree on staring at her backside as she walked away.
“You make a habit out of embarrassing the brass the morning of a raid?” She paused her typing with a smile and walked around her desk to meet him in the doorway. There were wildflowers behind his back and she gripped his chin to pull him down for a kiss.
“Good morning, Major.” John hummed with pleasure before going back in for one, two, three more kisses.
“Morning, doll.” His voice was huskier at this hour than she was used to. It sparked right between her legs. “You thought I forgot?” He produced the flowers from behind his back and handed them to her. As she did every morning, she brought them to her nose and blushed like a schoolgirl.
“First mission as Air Exec. Wouldn’t have blamed you if you did.” John stepped deeper into her office, closing the door behind him, as she tucked the latest bouquet into a vase on her desk that was already filled with his previous gifts.
“Would feel better if I was going up as a squadron commander.”
“You would say that.” Cass jumped up onto her desk, welcoming John between her legs with some light scratches on the back of his neck. “I, for one, am happy you’ve got two feet on the ground today.”
“That’s very selfish of you, Lieutenant Cooper.” He stepped closer and kissed her slow. Deliberate. Decisive. Dangerous. He kissed her like he flew. “I’ll stop flying when you stop spooking.”
“But then I wouldn’t get to see you all hot and bothered over my well being again.” John licked his lips as she fiddled with the knot of his tie. Cass wasn’t sure what was coming over her if not, just simply, the allure of John Egan. They had claimed each other publicly. All that was left was privately.
“Did that turn you on, Cass?” She nodded, pressing her chest against his as her tongue slipped between his lips and stirred an ache within him. “Do you like that they could walk in on us at any time?”
“Fuck, John.” Her lips moved to the column of his throat and he groaned at the nipping of her teeth. She was tempted to have him take her right there on the desk. He was tempted too. Wanted to rip those thin, tantalizing panty hose from her legs and hike her skirt around her waist. Had fantasized how soft the skin of her thighs would be. What she would taste like. How she would sound as he worked her over the edge again and again and again.
“Cass, baby, I want you so bad.” She was intoxicating. A siren at sea. At this moment, he was powerless to deny her anything.
“Then take me, sir.” God, he could die a happy man. He was pushing her skirt up her legs, Cass spreading them wider as she leaned back onto the desk and pulled John down with her when there was a knock on the door.
“Major Egan? Lieutenant Cooper?” Cass collapsed onto her back, panting with pent up tension, John catching himself with his hands on either side of her head.
“Just a minute,” John called. He dropped his sweaty forehead to her shoulder in defeat before standing to his full height. His mouth ran dry with a tease of lace, Cass tugging her skirt down to hide it from his starving eyes.
“You like lace. Noted.”
“I think I’d like anything that was on you.” He grabbed her hands and tugged her closer. “Or off you.” No longer able to control herself around John Egan, she stood on his toes and pressed up into his lips once more.
“Major Egan-”
“Jesus fucking Christ!” John stormed to the door and threw it open. “Private, I said we needed a minute.”
“Yes, sir. Sorry, sir.” Cass chuckled as he scurried away, adjusting her jacket and grabbing her briefing materials from the drawer.
“Don’t go scaring them, John. We need young men to want to stay in.”
“He’ll be fine. I’ll apologize when your spell has worn off a bit.”
“Oh? There you go with that witch motif again.” He followed her out of the office, out of the building and into the daylight.
“Has to be some kind of explanation for the way you’ve got me wrapped your finger like this.” She stopped and turned to face him.
“Maybe it’s love, Major.” His retort went right back down his throat. How the fuck did she know? He had tried to say it the other night but had since thought better of it. He couldn’t risk scaring her off.
“Maybe.” She read the yes behind his maybe.
“Maybe,” she repeated, whispering. “We should go inside.” John nodded, stepping closer and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
“I just need one more minute.” It was a moment John had never really thought about. The moment you realize the woman you love, loves you right back. He wanted to engrave it in his mind, heart and soul. Never forget this feeling with her. Carry it with him until he didn’t have to be afraid of losing it anymore. “Cass? You mean a lot to me, you know that?”
“We’ll make it through this, John. Together.” He kissed her one last time before heading, because how could he help himself, the sound of together silencing all the doubt in his mind. If only for a little while.
----
Cass sat quietly along the side of the room as Colonel Huglin unveiled the target for today’s mission and the unfortunate low-low position that the 100th would take. She looked around and tried to read if any of the men seemed nervous or had any understanding of what was about to happen to them. They were doing a good job of keeping it all at bay.
Eventually her eyes landed on John as they always did. He had recovered from their earlier tryst remarkably quickly. Cass was nearly positive she would need to replace her undergarments at the first available instance. Looking at him now only added to her need to shift and adjust in her seat. Back home, men were either ruggedly handsome and good with their hands or politely coiffed and intellectually impressive. For John Egan to somehow embody both was a figment of all her desires.
He caught her staring out of the corner of his eyes. Offered her a smirk and would have blown a kiss if he wasn’t sitting in the front row. As if she could read his mind, she blew a kiss of her own. John pretended to catch it and slip it into his pocket.
“Our intelligence officer, Lieutenant Cooper, will take it from here before Captain Becker delivers the weather.” Cass stood to the sound of whistles and cheers, a low chant of ‘Spook’ spreading throughout the room. John smiled but kept his decorum. Though that blush on her cheeks was going to make him go mad.
“Thank you for the warm welcome, gentlemen. Lights please.” The room plunged into darkness save for the screen she was using to deliver her brief. “Please note there are both naval and ground based anti-aircraft assets located along the Frisian Islands. Towards the mainland, you can expect concentrated flak from here all the way down to Bremen. Sources tell me they are radar enabled so they will have the capability to track you.” A hand shot up in the crowd.
“Ma’am? What kind of artillery are we looking at?”
“88 and 105.” She paused to see if there was follow up before continuing. “The most important aspect is your target to the northwest of Bremen if I could have the target map, please.”
There were no further questions, John standing to the side while she presented the bombardiers and navigators with supplemental files for the run. She didn’t offer them luck or tell them to fly safe. Just told them to remember their training and stick to the headings she had given them. Anything else would be empty words.
“I think they were very thoroughly briefed, don’t you?” Cass laughed as she gathered her maps and placed them back in her folder.
“Surprised I do more than run around Europe and get shot?” John looked at his shoes sheepishly but his jovial tone seemed to have slipped away.
“Shouldn’t joke about getting shot, Cass. Kind of scared me when that happened.” She touched his cheek gently.
“Once they all take off and you’re done being a leader of men, you can sit and read my report if you like. I’m positive your imagination is worse than the truth.” At least, she hoped it was. “You should go talk to Buck. Give him some parting thoughts.”
“You’re the one who told me there are no words to describe it.”
“Not to warn him or guide him. Just remind him why he’s going up there today and why he will again every time after.” His smile was tight lipped. Her words were very carefully chosen to not reflect the truly dire nature of their circumstances. He appreciated her for it. She held onto that quality as long as she could. Beyond the German surrender and the atomic bomb and the curiosity with what came next. But one day she would have to break. And she knew John would be there. He’d always be there. Had to.
----
It was a couple hours later when he found her again. She looked like she was fighting sleep from behind her typewriter. John couldn’t help but admire the sight, almost regretting the gentle rap of his knuckles on her door.
“Leader of men here for Lieutenant Cooper.” She acknowledged his presence with a smile but kept her chin in her hand. “One plane back with mechanical issues. Just a waiting game.”
“You’re not good at patiently waiting, are you?”
“I think I’m being pretty patient with you. With us,” he added as he motioned around them. “An impatient man would have taken advantage of your offer this morning.” Cass scoffed and sat up. Good. John liked when she was at her full capacity to spar with him. Sometimes, he said something just to get her to banter.
“You only didn’t because of that poor man that knocked on the door!”
“Well, he’s not here now.”
“So, what’s stopping you?” She looked at him expectantly. As if she was actually curious if he would just sweep her desk clean and take her right then and there. She would let him.
“Time. Need to make sure there’s no limit to how long I can take.” Cass liked the sound of that. John taking his time to work her up and up then over. Not just once. Maybe not even twice. She knew what she would be thinking about all night.
“A consolation prize then?” There was a red folder dangling from her fingertips. “It can’t leave this room.” John took it, taking a seat with enough distance from her to keep his head clear of sinful thoughts.
She typed away quietly as he read, something domestic about the whole thing that made them both incandescently happy, only the occasional grunt of concern or impressed hum slipping from his mouth.
“They teach you how to do all this at spook school?”
“Most of it. Some just has to be instinctual. Kind of like your piloting. There is only so much to learn in a training environment before the real thing has to take place.” He looked down and reread the lines about the information she had received. How she had written the tangible impact these identifiers would have on the war. Wanted to skip over the part where the local police followed her after her meeting. How they turned her in and she took a beating but convinced the interrogators she was just lost. How she made her tourniquet out of ripped cotton and a stick.
“Cass, you’re fucking incredible, you know that?”
“It’s always nice to have a handsome man tell me.” Their thoughts matching, she met him on the other side of her desk and accepted his kiss eagerly.
“We always find ourselves here,” he said with a sigh, her cheek fitting in his palm and his thumb resting on the top of her cheekbone.
“Are you complaining?”
“Never.” He leaned back in, ready to seal the world off once more, when the sirens ran off. The planes were back. And with them, the real world.

Okay, so! @shadowlord23 and I were rant and raving about criminal minds, you know, as one would. We were talking about (spoilers) the season where Spencer gets arrested and is stuck in prison. @shadowlord23 made a great point to say “Well what if that happened and he was a caregiver?” CUE MY BRAIN EXPLODING WITH POSSIBILITIES!
I will warn those about to read this. It’s not the usual happy and fluffy fics I usually write. While I did give this a happy ending, the rest of the fic is sad and definitely hurt/comfort up until that point. Please be warned it’s a sad story for the most part.
While in my eyes I see it as Safe for work because I never write anything NSFW or anything +18, I didn’t put the SFW tag on here because of it’s darker tone. But please know that is doesn’t have any graphic violence or anything +18.
This story is one I enjoyed greatly writing! I loved the different type of story, one a bit angsty. Please let me know if you enjoy it! Thank you again for the idea @shadowlord23 ! 🥹🙌

Caregiver! Spencer Reid & GN Little! Reader (plus BAU Family)
Tags - tantrums, lots of crying, hurt and comfort, BAU family unite!, hugs, forehead kisses, happy ending, angst…a lot of it, but a strong CG and Little connection,
TW- mentions of violence, mentions of weapons, talk of police, being ripped away from a cg, going to a prison
They explained the plan me not once but three times. Its supposed to be a simple, Spencer goes into the drug deal alone, he pretends to be the seller in order to get the buyer to show up and somehow manages to get this buyer to confess to the murder of our cases victim.
But there was plenty of things that could go wrong. What if the buyer got spooked and shot at him? What if the government didn’t agree with what we were doing? What if-
“Y/N? Are you okay?” Spencer asked looking concerned.
Spencer and I sat together on the bed in our hotel room. Apparently this plan had already been approved by the team…all but me.
“You told the team first because you knew I wouldn’t be okay with it.” I stated the facts plain and simply. I don’t lift my head up, instead I play this plan over and over in my head.
Spencer sighed before nodding his head, “I know it’s risky-.”
“Risky?! Risky isn’t even the word for it! Spencer you could get shot, arrested or kidnapped?!” I look into his eyes, frantic and scared.
“I know. But you also know that all of that could happen outside of this case too.”
“It doesn’t make it okay…”I cross my arms and look away.
“It doesn’t.” Spencer sat closer, wrapping an arm around me, pulling me into a hug.
Spencer wasn’t a hugging type of person but with me he’s the most cuddly person alive. He knew I needed the comfort in this moment, needed the closeness.
“I just-…I just don’t want anything to happen to you.” I turned and cried into his shoulder, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“And nothing will happen. The team will be monitoring everything. You will be monitoring everything with the team. But…”
“But what?”
“But if something was to happen-“
“Don’t say that! You said-.”
“Nothing is going to go wrong but I also don’t want to leave you without knowing what to do if something did happen.” Spencer quickly explained. “If something did go wrong, I would want you to listen to either your Uncles or your Aunts, okay? They would know what to do.”
I shook my head. I didn’t want to think about this. The BAU is my family. Rossi, Hotch, and Morgan are my uncles while Emily, JJ and Garcia are my aunts. But I didn’t want to go to Uncle Hotch or Aunt Emily. I just want him to be okay.
“B-But you’re going to be okay?”
“I’m going to try my hardest to be okay.” He hugged back tightly. “In and out. Then after we’re done and back home, I promise a certain someone that we would go to the aquarium right?” He said, bouncing the Little in his arms.
“To see the sharks?” They lifted their head up.
“Yes sweet love to see the shark. Just like you wanted. It’s a date, just you, me and the sharks. A Caregiver and Little date. And if it’s a really nice day I may be persuaded to get someone some ice cream after.”
He knew bargaining wasn’t the best tactic when it came to discussing something so important but he knew it would put Y/N mind as ease for the time being. Soon enough they started to relax a bit more in his arms. The once worried adult turned calm Little in his arms.
“And see the fishy?” They lifted their head off his shoulder.
“Yeah all the fish you can imagine!”
“Nemo?”
“Yup. I’m sure they’ve got Nemo there. Maybe even Dory.”
“Wow!”
“I think they also have jellyfish and a starfish.”
“Like Patrick?”
Spencer laughed, “Yes sweetheart just like Patrick.”
“But for now my starfish has to go to bed. We have a big day tomorrow.” Spencer brought them into his arms and laid them down on the bed with him, their head resting on his chest. He leaned over and turned off the lamp.
The two sat like that, just holding onto each other before the stressful day tomorrow planned on bringing.
Out of the darkness, a simple question.
“You’ll be okay, right?”
“I’ll be okay Y/N,” he leaned down and kissed their forehead, “I’ll be okay.”
~~~
There’s a lot of problems with this mission. For one, the BAU was working in a country with a government that wasn’t the fondest of America. Their government is mostly corrupt, and while they knew of our presence and what our case was about, there’s a whole lot of trust issues between the two of us.
The next problem was the setup itself. The team and I would be set up far away from Spencer. Close enough to see the setup with binoculars but far away that yelling would have no real reach. This made it so we could spy on everything but have cover so it wouldn’t create suspicion. The biggest issue with this is it made it so if something went wrong we would be too far away to do much about it.
That plus the million other probabilities played in my head on loop. With the binoculars in hand I looked again to the setup, knowing Spencer would be arriving soon.
“Y/N?”
Morgan placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. Everyone on the team must’ve known I was beyond stressed about this plan. And if they didn’t, they could just profile me and tell immediately. Can’t get away with anything when your Cargiver and Aunts and Uncles are profilers.
“Doing alright there kid?”
And if all else failed and the profiling didn’t help, then the fact they’re all Caregivers would’ve given them all they need to know about me.
It wasn’t a secret to the team that I’m a Little. They’ve all known for years, some even babysitting me. They still respect me as a member of the BAU regardless of my need for regression.
“Yeah, just nervous.” I reply back.
“Really? Because I couldn’t tell. I thought everyone grips binoculars that tightly.”
I looked down at my white knuckles around the binoculars and quickly let them go.
“Y/N, Spencer is going to be-.”
“If you say ‘Spencer is going to be fine’ I’ll lose it.” I quickly say, nerves getting to me.
“Sorry Morgan you don’t deserve that. I just-…” I look out to the scene once more before looking back to him, “They couldn’t have chosen someone else to do this? Like someone not on our team? Someone who’s not my Caregiver?”
“I know, I agree with you. But the higher ups fought Rossi and Hotch tooth and nail to get this setup underway. The government seems to really want this guy in for questioning.”
Before I had a chance to argue, Hotch walked over and interrupted, “Everyone get into positions, Reid is on his way.”
And so it begins. Spencer’s car pulls up to the building. He gets out and immediately goes into the building. JJ and Hotch sit together listening to the microphones hidden in the building while I watch the building with Morgan, while Emily and Rossi monitor all the other areas surrounding it.
20 minutes goes by with nothing, no sight of the unsub or anyone else. My nerves start to get to me. My binoculars shake as I hold them up again, looking at the building once more.
“The unsub is here, 3 o’clock.” Emily calls out.
I turn my binoculars to look and sure enough there he is, white suv pulling up to the building. They enter the building and from there I feel as though I can’t breathe.
JJ relays to us in bits and pieces what’s being said and what’s happening. I keep my eyes on the building hoping to just see Spencer give us the signal to move in.
“Guys we’ve got activity at 9 o’clock.” Morgan calls out.
“What?” I turn my head to look. There shouldn’t be any activity outside of the building, not before we move in.
“What the hell is that?!” Rossi calls out angrily.
I turn my binoculars to look. Not one but six black SUV’s speed towards the building. I look in horror towards the team.
“Who is that?!”
“I don’t know.” Morgan replies looking through his own binoculars.
“They’re going to mess with the setup! What if the unsub shoots Reid? What if these people shoot him?” I start to yell out, but no one seems to hear. Everyone’s eyes are on the building as the SUVs pull up.
Once the SUVs reach the building squad patrols exit the car and start rushing into the building. Men and women in swat gear and assault rifles storm the building from the outside. The SUV outside turn their lights on.
Hotch grabs an extra pair and look to the building as well, “This isn’t drug related. They’re government swat teams.” Hotch almost sighs saying. He knew the implications, this was about to get a lot more complicated.
I kept looking towards the building with my binoculars. The world around me almost frozen in fear.
“Doesn’t the government know we’re working out here?” JJ asked.
“They do but they have jurisdiction over us when it comes to crime related issues.” Rossi replied.
“What the hell does that mean?” Morgan asked, getting angry himself.
“It means whatever happens is out of our hands till we reach an agreement with their government.” Hotch sighed again before looking to me.
I wasn’t listening to a word they were saying. I couldn’t. Reid hadn’t come out of that building yet and I wasn’t going to move till he did.
Then suddenly…
The swat patrol pushes the Unsub from the building, handcuffed and bleeding from his head. “They’ve got the Unsub in custody! Maybe Spencer talked to them.”
But just as I finished my sentence, another swat officer came out of the building with Spencer, hands behind his back cuffed, a black eye and a bleeding lip. The sight made my heart stop.
“They’ve…They’ve got Reid.” I say looking in horror.
“What?!” JJ grabbed a pair of binoculars and looked as well.
“They’re arresting him too. They must think he’s in on it.” Morgan tried to reason.
“W-We can go over there and tell them he’s not!” I put the binoculars down. “Come on, we can get in the SUV and tell them!” I practically begged to Hotch, pulling on his arm. But by the looks on his face, the answer was one I wasn’t going to like.
“Y/N,” Hotch said sincerely, trying to take my hand but started shaking my head, back up as tears began to fall down from my face.
“No! No! We can all get in the SUV and we can go get him! He can’t just be arrest for something he didn’t even do?!” My regression wrapped around me like a vice as my panic blossomed. What’s as going to happen to my Caregiver?!
“Y/N we don’t have jurisdiction here. We are not allowed to get involved with their government.” Rossi tried to say.
“I don’t care what we’re allowed to do! It’s Spencer!! We can’t leave him there!” At this point was was practically yelling, begging the team to do something, but they all just looked at me with worried and concerned eyes. Not the same eyes of my team, but eyes of Caregiver’s worried about a Little.
“Kid, I’m sorry.” Morgan started to say realizing that they were right. There is no other way.
“No! NOOOOO! No! I won’t let him be taken away! I WON’T!” I stomp my foot twice, screaming at the team. I couldn’t help but let my frustration and anxiety get the better of me. I couldn’t stop worrying about him.
“Y/N, honey we have to go. If we don’t and they come here, we’ll all be arrest on conspiracy.” Emily tried to explain.
“I’m not leaving him!” I cried out as tears fell from my eyes, “I’m not! If you won’t go get him, then I will! You can all leave without me!” I take my binoculars and throw them towards the team before storming off and walking towards Spencer direction.
In reality there was no way I could walk there on my own. But I wasn’t thinking logically. I just wanted him so badly and I wasn’t going to stop till I got him.
Hotch and Morgan shared a look before Hotch nods his head, almost giving Morgan permission. Morgan nodded back before he runs over, catching up with me.
“I’m sorry about this kid but you’re going to have to trust us on this.” With one swift motion Morgan picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. “Right now, we know what’s best.”
I absolutely lose it. I start kicking and screaming as Morgan carries be back towards the team. “Noooooo!!! Dadeee!!” I called out, my arms stretched towards the building in the far distance. “NOOOOO!!!”
“Pack the essentials back into the car. We need to leave immediately.” Hotch orders.
Everyone starts rushing around and throwing things into the trunk. By the time Morgan comes back to the SUV I’m just crying, begging to be put down, crying out for Spencer.
Morgan helps me into the backseat and quickly buckled me before I had a chance to bolt again. JJ sits to my right and Emily to my left.
“It’s going to be alright sweetheart. It’s going to be okay.” The two of them say back and forth. But I can’t be consoled. I just cry and cry and cry, clinging onto JJ for comfort, wishing it was Spencer instead.
~~~
Everyone glances back to check on Y/N as the car drives back to the hotel. All worried about Y/N and about Spencer. Their priority is to go somewhere secure to talk, one without anyone listening.
Eventually Y/N’s cries die down to little sniffs and silent tears. Every so often someone tried to talk to them but they stayed silent, in shock from the events of the evening. That worries the team more.
Arriving back at the hotel, the team split into two. Hotch, Rossi and Emily split off to make phone calls and see what they could do about Spencer while Morgan, and JJ stayed with Y/N.
JJ lead the way and Morgan followed behind with Y/N in his arms. The Little just played with the collar of his shirt but doesn’t say anything. Silent tears fall from their eyes as they rest their head on his shoulder.
“Is it okay that they’re so quiet?” Morgan whispered to JJ.
“They’re in shock right now. I think it’s going to take them a moment.” JJ answered back.
With Y/N keycard, they opened the door to there and Spencer’s hotel room. The moment there were back in the room though, the shock start to dissipate.
They lifted their head off Morgan’s shoulder and looked to the bed, almost as if they were expecting Spencer to be in the room. When he wasn’t, they wriggled and pushed to be put down.
“Okay, kiddo just give me a second,” Morgan said as he gentle put them down.
Immediately the moment they were set on the ground they took off, searching the bathroom, the closets and the rest of the room, as if Spencer was hiding somewhere.
Morgan went to go to Y/N but JJ stopped him. “They need to figure this out themselves.” She said softly. Her eyes looked so sad as she watched Y/N look for Spencer in the room.
But everywhere they looked, he was still gone.
Even though it wasn’t a new realization, it hit Y/N as if it is was. They stopped and looked at Spencer’s jacket thrown over the desk chair.
How simply the morning was, the two of them getting ready for the mission tonight. The storybook he read the night before sat absent on the nightstand.
The whole room had the makings of Spencer. All without him being there.
Tears started to fall from Y/N eyes again. They grabbed his jacket and wrapped it around their shoulders.
Everything became so overwhelming at once. The reality of the day was setting in. When would they ever see him again? Would they ever see him again? Would they ever be able to get him out of prison?
Too many unanswered question rattled around in their mind. And with it? Anger. Anger about the fact this happened, about the fact they warned Spencer about doing this, and about the fact they couldn’t do anything about it.
So, like any toddler would. They began to throw a tantrum. First it was cry, and screaming. Then it was throwing every pillow off the bed and onto the ground. Then it was every blanket.
This time JJ wanted to step in and try to comfort Y/N but Morgan stopped her for a moment. “Like you said, they need a moment. This time I think to let it out.”
~~~
An hour later Hotch, Rossi and Emily walked into the room, only to find it looking like a tornado had passed through. Every pillow was on the ground along with the blankets and sheets. Clothes from their suitcases were also everywhere.
JJ was sat on the bed next to a crying and screaming Y/N. She gently tried to rub circles on their back to calm them down but it didn’t seem to be helping. Morgan was standing by the door, unsure how to help.
When the rest of the BAU came into the room, both Morgan and JJ looked exhausted. Hotch quickly stepped in, Emily following closely behind to help JJ out and give her a well needed break.
Once JJ got up Hotch replaced her spot, sitting close to Y/N. Emily took a seat on their other side. All the commotion got the attention of Y/N who stopped crying and screaming for a moment and lifted their head off the bed.
They quickly looked to Emily, tears stained face, “Dadee? Come home?” They simply asked.
Emily looked to Hotch then back to Y/N before replying, “Y/N, getting Spencer back is going to be a bit more complicated than we expected.” She starts to explain.
Rossi join the two, standing near the end of the bed, “We talked with our higher ups and updated them on the situation but…we need to give our reports and we need to start a lot of paper work before we can start the work to get him out.”
Y/N looked between Rossi and Emily confused, what did this mean for Dadee? What did this mean for them?
Hotch right away noticed the confusion. He places a hand on their shoulder, “Y/N, in order to begin working on getting Spencer out of prison, we need to go back to the U.S.” He let those words sink in.
And boy did they sink in like an anchor. Though it seemed impossible at this point, fresh tears started to fall from Y/N’s eyes. “W-We can’t leave him here.” They said in a broken voice.
“We’re not going to sweetheart. I promise we’re not. But for right now we have to head back home so we can begin the process of getting him out. And to do that we need to leave this country just for a little while.” Emily explained taking their hand.
“But we can’t, he’s stuck here! We can’t leave!! I-I don’t have…anyone…” Y/N tried to say before going hysterical again. It was all too much. Too much information at once. They were just about to start hyperventilating.
Hotch, making an executive decision, pulled the Little into his arms and cradled their head on his shoulder. Y/N held onto him tightly, crying into his shoulder. He started gently rocking and bouncing them in his arms.
“Y/N, breath. Take deep breaths with me.” Hotch guides them, helping them out of their hyperventilating.
“You’re not alone Y/N. I can promise you that.” Hotch lifted his head from Y/N and looked at his team of Caregivers. Though he didn’t ask, he knew that they would all be willing to step in and help take care of Y/N while they tried to free Spencer.
“We’ve got you.”
Four months had passed by. Four long months. It feel like just yesterday I saw Spencer arrested and pulled away. Every day I hope he’s okay and wonder what’s happening across the ocean in that prison he’s stuck in. It leaves me with crazy anxiety.
As for me? I’ve been the traveling Little. Every week I go to a different BAU members house. One week I’m with Hotch, the next I’m with Emily, then Morgan and so on. They’ve all treated me so nice and each house feels like a home with them.
They’ve all comforted me through the process of dealing with the temporary loss of my caregiver. Late nights waking up to the same nightmare. Hotch running into the room and comforting me through a crying fits. Or Garcia making me a cup of coco as a special treat.
They all really live up to their nickname BAU Family.
It’s been months and we aren’t even scratching the surface of getting Spencer out. It’s been killing me having to do this the paper work route and not just break him out myself…if I could.
But while they’re working on it back in the States, Morgan, Garcia, Emily and I made a trip back to the country to visit Spencer in prison.
I just…I need to see him. I need to see him again, talk to him again, and make sure with my own eyes he’s okay.
Once we arrived I stick close to Morgan, holding his hand tightly in mine as we stepped foot in the scary looking prison. I leaned close to his side as we walked down the scary hallways with prisoners yelling and shouting at us.
Finally we made it to the visiting room. Each section was like a small cubicle. A phone hung on each side of the wall with a piece of thick glass separating the visitors from the prisoners.
I promised myself I would try hard not to regress. I wanted to talk to him, see how he was doing and try to help him through the glass as much as I can. But as we entered the room, I could feel my regression screaming to take over.
The guard stopped us before we walked over. “It’s one at a time. And each of you only gets ten minutes.”
“Ten minutes?!” Garcia said just as shocked as the rest of us.
“Yes only ten minutes each.”
“Could I give my time to them?” Emily asked, seeing that I was the most anxious to see Spencer.
“No. It’s ten minutes each. Your time starts now. Reid is at cubicle six.” And with that the cold hearted guard walked back to his post.
I looked up at Morgan who gave me a comforting smile, “It’s okay Y/N. Just go spend every minute you can with him.” I nod my head and begin moving to cubicle six. As I walk down the rows I see the other prisoners talking with their friends and family.
But nothing in this world will ever replace the feeling of reach that cubicle and seeing Spencer again.
He smiled warmly at me. His hair is much longer now and his face scruffy, two things I’ve never seen on Spencer before. I start to tear up seeing him. It’s been so long and I’ve been so worried about him. And now? Now he’s here right in front of me.
I immediately take my seat and grab the phone, Spencer does the same. There’s a moment I don’t even know what to say. All these emotions hitting me at once. Tears start to fall from my eyes as I look into his. Thankfully Spencer must’ve realized it and starts the conversation.
“Y/N! It’s so good to see you! I’ve missed you so much!” He smiles again, pure happiness ok his faces.
“I’ve missed you so much. I’ve been worried about you every day wonder that’s happening, what going on there, what’s-.”
“Y/N, Y/N,” he stops me, “I’m okay. I’ve been doing okay here. I promise.” He shared a sad smile with me. Though I know he was trying to reassure me, I didn’t believe him 100%.
“Your hair is so long!” I chuckle.
“It’s is. They don’t give haircuts here.” He joked.
“I like it. It looks nice on you having long hair.”
“Really? Huh. Maybe I’ll keep it then.” He adds pushing his hair back dramatically, I can’t help but chuckle.
“I think about you every day too. I haven’t forgotten our date you know.” He smiles, “The sharks are waiting for us.”
“Yeah…the sharks…” Memories flash back to how we ended up here. I look back up into his eyes, but they’re not the eyes of normal me. They’re the eyes of a Little.
“I miss you.” My voice cracks as more tears start to fall, “I miss your bedtime stories and your cuddles and your hugs.” I begin rambling.
I stop, looking back into his worried eyes, “I just want you back.” I place my hand on the glass, wishing and hoping it would somehow disappear.
He placed his hand on mine, the glass blocking us from actually touching. “I wish I was back with you too. I wish I could be giving you all the cuddle and snuggles you could ever want.”
“I’m working Dadee, I’m working every day to bring you home.” I don’t move my hand from the glass, tears still fall from my eyes as I look into Spencer eyes.
“I know you are darling, I know you are.” He smiles warmly.
“Tell me how you’ve been doing.” Spencer says, trying to change the subject to one more uplifting.
I begin explain everything that’s been happening while he’s been gone. Going between everyone’s houses, the adventures they’ve taken me on.
“Aunt Garcia taught me how to play animal crossing and Uncle Hotch almost set his kitchen on fire when he tried to cook.” I giggle.
“He almost killed my Little?” He joked back.
“No! I saved him with the fire extinguisher!” I say proudly.
“Wow!! I didn’t know you were a firefighter too?” Spencer smiles, making me smile as well.
“Uncle Morgan is trying to get me into jogging with him.” I can’t help but chuckle.
Spencer laughs and smiles, “He’s trying to get you into jogging?“
“Yeah but can’t keep up with him. He’s too fast.”
“I don’t think we’ve jogged a day in our lives.” Spencer laughs some more.
“We haven’t!” I laugh as well, “We just walk in the park. Not running or jogging. Just walking.” I smile, thinking about all the times we’ve walked through the park to our favorite spot. We sit on a blanket together as he reads and I lay down and watch the cloud roll by.
I start rambling, “Me and Mr. Bear have been making a list of all the things we want to do when you’re back. We’ll have tea party, and go to the park, and-.”
“TIME’S UP!” I heard the prison guard yell down to me.
I look over worried then back to Spencer. “No!” I cry out. Looking back at him, trying to memorize his face before they come to get me. “I don’t want to go! I can’t go! Please don’t go!!”
My hand doesn’t leave the window, I hold my hand there not quite ready to take it away. Not ready to leave him. “Please don’t leave! Please!” My eyes meets his, mine looking worried while his look sad. I start to cry.
“It’s okay, Y/N. I promise you I’m going to be okay. I want you to know how much I love you and that I’m thinking of you every day. And how I can’t wait for the day you’ll be back my arms again.” Spencer quickly starts to say, trying to get every last word in.
“Dadee,” I try to catch my breath, “I don’t want to leave you again.” I choke out, trying to catch my breath between sobs.
“We’re not saying goodbye forever bug, we’re just saying goodbye for now.” The world seems to pause for a second as he looks at me and says, “I’ll see you again. I’ll see you soon.”
I nod my head, tears still falling from my face. “I love you.”
Spencer smiled back at me, “I love you too Y/N. I love you so-.”
~~~
Y/N turns to look away from the glass and off to the side. They put their phone down and start shaking their head to someone. Spencer can’t see what they’re looking at or who they’re talking to.
Spencer’s heart shatters as Morgan comes over, placing a hand on their shoulder before he scopes Y/N into his arms. Morgan and Spencer don’t get to talk, but the small nod and look in Morgan’s eye tells him everything he needs to know. Y/N’s in his safe hands.
He watches as Y/N turns and cries into Morgan’s shoulder as he carries them away. With one final glance, the Caregiver and Little lock eyes before Y/N is carried off.
The moment Y/N is out of sight, Spencer breaks down. Trying to put a tough face on for Y/N in showing that he’s alright. But he isn’t. He’s always running the risk of getting beaten up. He’s gotten into one or two of fight which didn’t end well for him. It’s hard being a cop in prison, let alone an FBI agent.
Spencer looks down, crying into his hand. The tough front of ‘everything’s okay’ drops and he’s finally able to let it out. His heart breaks for Y/N. He’s supposed to be there taken care of them, and instead he’s lock up, countries away. All the moments he’s missing out on, all the time.
The phone picks up and someone sits across from him. He doesn’t lift his head till they start talking.
“Reid, I’m so sorry.” Emily tries to say. “These guards aren’t happy with us being here to begin with, and you and I know Y/N would happily fight all of them to have more time with you.”
Spencer wiped his tears and nods. “How-,” he clears his throat, trying not to sound so upset, “How have they been doing?”
“I won’t lie to you, it was definitely a grieving process in the beginning. Then it was getting used to traveling around to everyone’s house every week. But,” She looks off to where Morgan is, holding Y/N in his arms, lightly bouncing them and rubbing their back, “But I think they’re finally starting to settled with us, comfortable regressing.”
She looks into his eyes and shares a comforting smile with him, “They’re doing okay.”
Spencer nods his head taking it all in, “That’s great to hear. I’ve been so worried they haven’t adjusted well, or they’ve been upset about everything.” He rambles.
“They have their moment but they need to have their moments of crying and being upset. Sometimes they need to let it out. I’m just thankful they have people to care for them and allow them a safe space to let it out.” Emily shared a small smile with Spencer.
“So, let’s get down to business before they cut me off.” Emily places her brief case on the table and begins going over their plan for getting him out.
They talk a while longer before Emily’s time is up. Then just when he thought his visit was over, Garcia took a place infront of him.
“Spencer! I love your hair this length! You should keep it this way!” Garcia smiled.
“It’s good to see you too Penelope.”
“So! I’m sure Emily went over all the business stuff with you.” She starts to say, “I’m not here to talk business, I’m here to cheer you up and tell you Y/N’s okay.”
Spencer right away smiles sadly, nodding his head.
“How are they taking it?”
“Very rough, which is to be expected.” She says honestly, “But…they’re not fighting us or trying to go against our help. I think they realizes they need people they can regress freely around so they can process the situation.”
Spencer nods along, listening intently.
Garcia chuckles, “You should only see Hotch and Morgan with them. Talk about softies! You think they’re the toughest men of the BAU? You should only see them when they’re trying to cheer Y/N up. There’s not much they would do.”
Spencer join her in laughing, picture the two of them with Y/N. “That’s something I’d love to see.”
“And I know you will soon. Between our team’s efforts and Y/N determination to find a loophole in the system, you’ll be out of here soon enough.” She smiled warmly.
“I just wanted to take the time to tell you that we’re taking good care of Y/N. Emily paints their nails, JJ and Morgan takes them to the park, Hotch and Rossi have been teaching them how to cook, and I’ve been showing them every movie and playing every video games imaginable.”
Spencer smile again, “Thank you Garcia. Thank you for taking care of my Little one.”
“It’s been our pleasure.” She smiles back. “Hang in there, okay? We’ll see you soon.” She kissed her hand and pressed it to the glass.
Spencer did the same, sharing a small smile with her.
As she stood up and walk away, the guard behind him call his name, visiting hours were up. He sigh, standing up and walking back to his cell. Before he felt empty and now? Now he felt a small glimmer of hope.
~~~
Two more months later there we stood, outside the gates of the prisons waiting endlessly for Spencer. The whole BAU was here to ensure Spencer was brought out safe and sound.
I stood next to Hotch nervously picking at my nails as we waited. He grabbed my hand gently, stopping me from the nervous habit. “It’s okay Y/N. You have nothing to worry about.” He took my hand in his, gently rubbing his thumb over my knuckles.
“But what if-.”
“There’s nothing they can do to keep him in there.” Rossi cuts me off. “They have to release him today.” He reassured.
I nod my head, still not so sure. So there we wait, and wait, and wait.
“Did they give us a time?” JJ asks.
“They said 12 o’clock.” Emily replies.
“And it’s…” Morgan asks.
“It’s 1:37.”
We all sigh.
“If they don’t release him by 2 we’ll raise hell. But for now we’ll wait.” Hotch replies to the group. Looking to me and sharing a small smile.
So we wait some more.
I lean against Hotch’s arms watching the gate endlessly.
Suddenly there’s a loud alarm sound and the gate starts to open. I squeeze Hotch’s hand. “Is it Spencer? Is it him?” I look to him eagerly.
“Let’s wait a moment and see before we go over.” The group watch as the gate opens and a prisoner walks out.
There’s no denying who that is. His hair much longer, almost to his shoulders. His face unkept. But his smile towards the group is the most recognizable sign that it’s him.
I look to Hotch who gives me a smile and a nod.
With that I take off! I start running like my life depends on it. Spencer smile only grows as he sees me running towards him. He kneels down, opening his arms wide.
After months of being without him, it lead us to this moment. I tears fall from my eyes as I finally embrace him, running right into his arms. He wraps his arms around me and picks me up, spinning us around while hugging me tight against him.
We stop, just holding onto each other, tears running down both our faces. “Spencer!! Dadee! I miss you!! I missed you so much!” I cry into his shoulder, holding onto him to tightly.
“I miss you so much. I’ve thought about you every day, thought about this moment every day. I couldn’t wait to hug my little bug again.”
We’ve both been waiting for this moment forever. Long nights sleeping in my bed wishing I could just be cuddled up with Spencer, nightmares that I wish he could protect me from, adventures I wish he would take me on.
It was all over. I held onto with a tight grip. As if I didn’t he would disappear. Finally no more glass to separate us any longer. We are finally back together again. And we’re never leaving each others side.
We break apart but only for a moment as we look into each other’s eyes, “I did it. I got the paper work and I demanded they release you. I never stopped fighting for you.” I cry.
Spencer reaches up and wiped the tears away, “I couldn’t be more grateful for you. Thank you Y/N.” He pulls me back into a tight hug, kissing the side of my head.
The recovery was going to be a long one. Spencer was definitely going to need some time away from the BAU and so was Y/N. They needed to catch up on loss time and deal with what happened together. But for now…
“Now we can go to the aquarium!” I mumble, squish in our hug.
Spencer chuckles. We break apart and he takes my hand in mine. “It would be my honor to finally take you to the aquarium.” He smiles back.
Together we walk towards the rest of the team, hand in hand. Reunited at last.
“What fish are you most excited to see?” I asks as we walk.
“Maybe a star fish.” Spencer replies.
“A star fish?!”
“Yeah. What’s wrong with that?”
“But that’s not even a fish?”
“It’s close to a fish but not technically a fish.”
“Then why is it called star fish?”
“I…don’t actually know. We’ll just have to ask one when we see it.” Spencer smiles, squeezing my hand. I giggle at the silliness and squeeze his hand right back.
The sound of something heavy rubbing against carpet makes you jolt awake from your sleep, quickly sitting up your still tired eyes scan the bedroom seeing Sanji pushing a chest of draws away from the door. Snoring at your side catches your attention getting you to turn seeing Zoro sleeping deeply next to you, heavy snores leaving his mouth which makes you smile glad that your back in bed with your boys. "My love" Sanji whispers making his way back over to the bed placing a hand on your cheek while the other takes your shoulder trying to make you lay back down but your arms quickly wrap around his neck holding him tight, the cook hums in delight wrapping his arms around you to hug you back "Its alright now, your safe but you should get some more sleep, it's very early" The blonde soothes placing light kisses on your neck up to your cheeks as he slowly pulls away to cup your face, you want to agree with him but a rumble in your stomach makes you realize who hungry you are "Can't i come with? I'm really hungry" You whisper as to not disturb the sleeping swordsman next to you but knowing him he's most likely dead to the world, thinking for a second Sanji pulls away from you even when you try and grab him to bring him back, heading over to the chest of draws he pulls out some fuzzy socks before walking back over to you. Swinging your legs over the side of the bed your surprised at how well you can move now, Chopper most likely gave you the cure while you were passed out or maybe it really was the true loves kiss, who knows? "Of course you can come with me but you don't leave my sight… Percy's chained up and locked in a closet bellow deck, Brook's been keeping watch over him" Sanji explains as he helps you put the fuzzy socks on.
Your heart drops with a mixture of worry and anger at hearing he's on the ship, you didn't know what your boys had planned but you didn't think they would just let him stay on the ship, they could have at least tied him up outside or just left him on the island and taken off. "Why?" You ask through gritted teeth spooking Sanji a little who quickly looks up to see your tensed and slightly shaking body, sighing the cook places a hand on your cheek while standing up. "I'm sorry my love. Zoro and I both wanted him dead but the others managed made a few good points. You derive to decide what happens to him or at least have a say in how we deal with him, i'm sorry he's still here, please don't be mad" The blonde's eyes plead with you making you sigh in defeat and nod getting Sanji to relax, you can't be mad at him since in a way your now thankful that you have the final say in what happens to him, you still need time to think on what to do with him but your not going to let him off on this or let him walk around freely to do this to some other poor soul. Your snapped out of your thoughts as Sanji picks you up holding you close to his chest while carrying you to the door "I-i can walk, i'm ok" You try and protest feeling perfectly fine after such a long sleep, but the cook refuses placing a light kiss on your lips now back to his cheery self since your not mad at him "I know you can my love, but you deserve to rest so please, let me carry you" giving you those soft dreamy eyes that always makes you melt, you can't help but give in.
Laying your head on his shoulder you place light kisses up and down his neck letting Sanji carry you out the bedroom and to the kitchen. "Thank you" You whisper letting your hands run though his hair hearing him happily hum at your affection "I'd do anything for you, Mi amour" Sanji whispers pushing the kitchen door open with his foot and letting it close behind him once inside, placing you down on one of the bar stools the cook makes sure your comfy before going to walk away only to be pulled back when you grab his jacket. Knowing what you want the cook wraps an arm around your waist while the other holds your chin as he leans in, quickly capturing his lips you melt into the kiss but craving more you soon lightly bite his bottom lip making him moaning at your neediness. Sanji slides his tongue into your mouth earning a happy, relaxed and drawn out moan from you as your tongues meet and roam around taking in each others touch and unspoken words of love. Pulling away for air Sanji stays close letting you catch your breath while looking over your satisfied yet flustered face "I love you Y/n" He whispers lightly kissing your lips that you return cupping his face with your hands "I love you more than words can say, Sanji. I meant it yesterday.. You and Zoro are my only true loves" unable to control his pounding heart Sanji blushes bright red as hearts appear in his eyes starting to sway a little "Oh my love, you and Zoro are my true loves too, your both so amazing. I'm so glad to have you back in my arms, I love you so much Mi amour, your so beautiful and smart and funny and-" You laugh as he goes on and on fawning over you while his hands wrap around you pressing your face into his chest where you can feel his rapped heart rate.
It takes a while for him to calm down but your not complaining, its rare for him to do this since he's always showing his love for you one way or the other, but when it does happen you can't help but feel like a little girl with a crush. "I'll get you some tea and make you the perfect breakfast, Just wait here Mi amour" Sanji pulls away his heart eyes fading back into those soft eyes that make you melt, nodding you watch as he rushes off to start making tea and food for you and the rest of the crew. Since its very early you know it'll be a while before the others get up so you have time to relax and think about things all while watching Sanji cook, his smile never fading as he practically glides around the kitchen getting what he needs and making the perfect breakfast. So mesmerized by his movement you get lost deep in thought mainly wondering how you got so lucky, a large plate is placed in front of you snapping you out of your thoughts "bon appetit" looking up at the cook you can't help but smile at his charming smile as he patiently waits for your verdict on the food, looking down at the plate you gasp slightly at the large pancakes sounded by your favorite things to put on top "Oh! Sanji, this is amazing, thank you" Picking up a fork you go to ding in but stop when seeing the cook hasn't moved on to do some more cooking like normal, knowing something up you cut into one of the pancakes seeing creamy chocolate seep out of it, somehow your smile gets bigger making Sanji chuckle as he leans on the counter loving your reaction to his food "Sanji" you don't know what else to say since words can't describe how happy he's made you feel.
Enjoying your food Sanji goes back to cooking after lighting up a cigarette that he's been craving since he woke up, once in a while looking over at you smiling wider at the joy on your face that his food brings. After finishing your food you hum in delight while leaning on the counter "That was amazing, thank you" Sanji turns to take your clean plate feeling his heart warm up at your praise but stops and takes his cigarette out of his, reaching a hand across the cook rubs his thumb over your bottom lip taking off some left over chocolate. A blush forms on your face from embarrassment grabbing a napkin and starting to wipe your mouth just in case there's more, going to thank the cook you notice a flirty grin on his face as he slowly licks the chocolate off his thumb "It tastes even better coming from your lips" Your whole face turns red but you don't have time to react as the kitchen door opens startling you, turning to look at the door you sigh in relief seeing its only Brook "Good morning, you look well Y/n" The skeleton walks over placing a hand on your shoulder as he bends down slightly, tucking some hair behind your ear you let out a small laugh managing to calm yourself down from Sanji's flirtations. "Thanks, but we both know thats a lie, i look like I've been dragged thought a hedge backwards… oh wait i have" You joke getting Brook to laugh patting your shoulder, Sanji tenses as he makes his crew mate some tea, several things run though his head as he watched the two of you chat.
Making his way over the cook places a cup of tea down on the counter sliding it over to the skeleton. "Brook.. Who's watching Percy?" The cook asks hating that fact that your smile drops at the mention of the young man's name but it needed to be asked to make sure he's kept away so your safe "Oh, Franky's took over, don't worry" taking the tea cup Brook manages to reassure the two of you that all is safe before heading off to the dinning table, relaxing a little Sanji puts out his cigarette before makes his way around the counter to you placing his hands on your hips to swivel you around to face him "You look beautiful my love. Your perfect" a soft smile returns to your lips as your hands reach up to cup his face knowing he's upset about your comment before. "Thank you, Darling" You whisper leaning up to lightly peck his lips but when you pull away you notice that flirty smile back on his face "I was wrong, it tastes incredible coming from your lips" Blushing hard again you try to answer back but only manage a few crucibles making the cook chuckle while resting his forehead against yours "I'm sorry my love, i couldn't help myself" the cook rubs circles into your hips with his thumbs enjoying the closeness with you as you calm down again from his flirting and letting your hands rub you and down his arms. When the door opens again Robin and Nami walk in both happy to see you "Your awake" The navigator grins running over and wrapping her arms around you just as Sanji manages to step back as not to get shoved aside or run over, smiling you hug her back while stroking her hair mumbling as many thank you's as you can get out.
Robin giggles while walking over placing a hand on top of your head since the woman hugging you is refusing to move even an inch "Good morning lady's. I'll make some tea and Pancakes for you.. How did you sleep?" The cook rushes off to the other side of the counter starting to make the girls their food and tea, normally he would be upset that your moment together was ruined, but he can't be mad at the girls. "We slept ok, thanks Sanji… How do you feel Y/n?" Robin reply's before turning to look you over seeing you still hugging Nami, looking up at the black haired woman taking her hand in yours feeling so thankful towards the two "I'm good, thank you two for everything, I'm so sorry all this happened-" Nami quickly looks up at your apology anger clear on her face as she pulls away to grab your shoulders starting to slightly shake them "Don't you dare apologies, this isn't your fault, its all his. He's crazy.. We should have kicked him off the ship ages ago.. I shouldn't have made that deal with him in the first place" The navigator yells slight tears building up in her eyes, its clear now that she blames herself a little, but she's right it's no one's fault but Percy's, pulling her back into a hug you stroke her hair again trying to comfort your friend "It's not your fault Nami, like you said it's no ones fault but his" Letting her go the navigator wipes her eyes giving you a nod, Robin gives the two of you a soft smile placing an arm around Nami before suggesting a good idea "We can talk more once everyone is awake, for now lets just enjoy breakfast and relax" Nami sighs giving a nod, giving you one last smile the two head off to the dinning table, Sanji quickly follows with two plates stacked up his arms and two cups of tea in his hands.
An hour goes by before the kitchen door aggressively slams open making most of the crew jump in surprise while turning to see a panting half awake Zoro who's eyes land you with a panicked look, relief runs over his body at seeing you instantly relaxing and closing the door to walk over to you. Nami goes to yell angry that the swordsman scared her but is stopped by Robin who places a hand on her shoulder and shakes her head going back to their conversation. Zoro quickly yet carefully wraps his arms around you burying his head in your neck "When i woke up and you weren't there i.. i thought-" He whispers into your neck squeezing a little tighter to confirm that your really here, shushing him you do your best to wrap your arms around him and rub his back placing a kiss on his shoulder "I'm right here, It's ok. I've been with Sanji this whole time and Percy's still locked away so don't worry" You whisper back continuing to kiss along his shoulder and up to his neck, humming into you the green haired man pulls always slightly rubbing his nose against yours before firmly kissing your lips. "Sorry Zo, i should have left a note or something" Sanji sighs coming around the counter and placing a plate and coffee down for when the green haired man is finished, pulling away from the kiss Zoro moves one of his arms to wrap around the blonde's waist pulling him in for a short kiss "How the hell didn't i hear you leave?" The swordsman mainly asks himself, letting out a laugh you run your now free arms up his chest and to his shoulders "I think your snoring blocked out any noise we made" you snicker earning a playful glare from Zoro "I'm surprised you didn't wake yourself up snoring that loud" Sanji laughs patting the swordsman on the back who groans turning his glare to the cook "I hate you both" the green haired man states pulling away from the both of you to sit down and start digging into his food.
Leaning over you place your head on the swordsman's shoulder while your hand runs up and down his leg "We still love you… even when you snore" letting out a giggle at hearing the man groan again, Sanji sighs walking up behind Zoro and wrapping his arms around his waist resting his chin on the swordsman's shoulder "You love us really, just admit it" The cook smirks placing kisses on the green haired man's neck feeling him relax under the touch but still lets out another groan trying to seem annoyed even though he's enjoying the attention. Once he's done eating the swordsman leans back a bit into the cook while grabbing your hand "You two are persistent I'll give you that… come here" Zoro grins grabbing your stool and pulling it close to him before wrapping his arm around your waist, grabbing one of Sanji's arms he pulls the cook around and into his other side holding you both close to him "We love you Zo" The cook leans in placing a kiss on Zoro's cheek letting his hands run up the swordsman's exposed chest, leaning closer you let your hand run up into his green hair while placing a kiss on his neck "We really do" You whisper earning a happy hum from both your lovers "Such saps" Zoro chuckles looking over at the cook to place a firm kiss on his lips, Sanji happily leans into it, kissing back just as hard before having to pull away for air, turning to you the swordsman places a lighter kiss on your lips that you hum into while running your fingers though his hair. "I love you both too" Zoro whispers after pulling away from the kiss, with a smile you lay your head on his shoulder feeling Zoro place a kiss on your head happy to have you back in his arms. Sanji smiles at the two of you while taking the swordsman's hand off his waist knowing he needs to start cooking up a feast before Luffy wakes up but before he leaves the cook hugs the two of you from behind placing a kiss on each of your heads.
It isn't long before the door opens again, Chopper happily runs over to you calling out your name to get your attention, pulling away from Zoro you bend down and pick him up so the reindeer, so he can sit on your lap "I'm glad your awake, how are you feeling? Do you need anything?" giving him a big smile you hold him close to you as Sanji places down a glass of milk and some food for the doctor "I'm fine, thanks for making that cure, i can move perfectly fine even though someone won't admit it" You playfully glare over at the cook who's leaning against the counter with yet another cigarette in his mouth, giving you a corny smile and a raised eyebrow portending not to know what your talking about, Chopper giggles at the two of you before taking his glass of milk and starting to drink it and eat his food while sitting on your lap. Zoro lets out a chuckle leaning in a bit to the doctor to have a small chat as you and Sanji continue to playfully glare at each other, you have no idea how long you've both been playfully glaring at each other but when your broken out of it Luffy and Usopp walk though the door with complete opposite energy's. Luffy energetically yells out for food looking wide away and ready for the day while Usopp sluggishly walks in behind his friend heavy bags under his eyes. "Y/n" Luffy yells rushing over to wrap his arms around you, slightly starting poor Chopper who's still on your lap. Usopp perks up at hearing your name surprised yet happy to see your up, quickly joining his Captain the sniper runs up behind you wrapping his arms round you "Y/N.. I'm so sorry" Usopp yells into your back earning a sad sigh from you.
Zoro shakes his head while helping Chopper off your lap and down onto the floor, so he can join the others at the table, an angry growl fills the room as Sanji grits his teeth down on his cigarette glaring at the two holding you "Will you two not crowd her, get off before you hurt her" The cook yells gripping the spatula in his hand tightly ready to hit the two if they don't let go, quickly the two boys pull away holding their hands behind their back so that Sanji can't hit them, letting out a laugh you turn to face the two as Zoro reaches over to take the cooks hand hoping to calm him down "Usopp none of this is your fault-" You go to say more but Usopp shakes his head while stepping closer to you a look of guilt in his eyes "It's my fault, I left a bunch of seeds out a few days ago, he must have taken some and hid them along with the tea bags. I-i didn't know what he was really like but i still shouldn't have left you alone when there was clearly something wrong. i could tell something was wrong but instead of asking or helping you i-" He tries to explain but you place your hands on his shoulder slightly shaking your head while giving him a sad look "I mean it, it's not your fault, no one could have done anything to stop this from happening, i don't know how he got those seeds, he could have gone out and found them" You shrug trying to stop his worrying, you know he drugged you with a seed from the desk but the others he could have gotten anywhere. "I don't blame you for being scared of me, i'm sorry for how i acted and that i tried to keep all this hidden as much as possible. I'm really sorry, it won't happen again" You sigh looking over at Luffy who gives you a soft smile and a nod happy that you apologised before he had to bring it up.
Turning back to Usopp you give him a slightly sad look while releasing his shoulders "Percy made all that mess to get me alone, If you didn't leave he would have found a way to make you leave. He had quite a few plans on how he was going to get me off the ship, but he was going to do it on our last day here… My talk with his made him rush things." Usopp nods feeling relief that you didn't think bad of him for everything, Sanji raises an eyebrow at your words getting upset that you talked with Percy when you shouldn't have but its Zoro that voices his anger "You talked to him? i told you not to interact with him" The swordsman leans closer grabbing your shoulder, you hate seeing the look of anger and hurt on his face but you know he's right, you should have just walked away and let him do what ever with your notebook but back then you still had hope that he was a good person "I know i shouldn't have or at least come and found one of you… There's a lot to talk about and explain so you should sit and eat while i talk" You state turning to look at the sniper and Captain who both quickly make there way over to Sanji who starts plating up their food, Zoro sighs turning you in your seat to make you look at him, he didn't know whether to scold you or hug you. "We also need to talk about what you want to do with him" Robin speaks up with a smile gesturing for you to sit at the table with them hoping to break the tension forming between you and the swordsman, your eyes widen now realizing how you were supposed to think about that but ended up just starting at Sanji or talking to the crew, Luffy and Usopp eagerly grab their food off the cook before rushing over to the table to eat leaving you alone with your two loves.
Reaching over you take Sanji's hand while your other grabs Zoro's flicking your eyes between the two "I'm really sorry, i should have come to find you, i should have walked away… i thought maybe if i explain things to him then he would leave me alone but that was never going to happen. I'm not going to change who i am and how i act but if someone makes me uncomfortable again i promise I'll come right to you two instead of running off and hiding like i did at first. His past and shy nature made me feel like i had to be around him and not get angry at him or fight back, I'm so sorry for letting that get the better of me" you apologise bowing your head at the two hoping they'll forgive you for the mistakes you've made and the mess you've caused. Zoro stands up from his stool letting your hand drop out of his as Sanji lets go of your hand making his way around the counter to you, a part of you thinks there just going to leave but instead they both wrap their arms around you sandwiching you in between them "I don't want you to change who you are, just don't let people walk over you" Zoro whispers pressing his forehead against yours, Sanji hums in agreement placing his chin on your shoulder to look at your face "You have such a kind heart, i hate seeing someone try and take advantage of that, i want to protect so my arms will always be open to you if you need help" The cook whispers giving you a soft smile, tears well up in your eyes at their words glad that the two don't seem mad anymore "Thank you… I love you" Leaning up your lightly place your lips on the swordsman's who leans in returning the kiss, when you pull away you then turn to the blonde "And i love you" After you whisper those words you lightly kiss the cooks lips hearing a happy hum from him.
You give me goose bumps
(repost because Tumblr was being Funky on my end-- sorry!)
Ao3
Summary: Ghost sat there, trying to figure out how in the hell he had gotten himself into this situation: Lying on the floor of the safe house with a massive werewolf using him as a teddy bear. Honestly, the sequence of events wasn’t too complicated.
Tw: violence, nightmares, and a smidgen panic
It was a few days before a full moon and Ghost and Soap were on a simple, low-stakes mission. All they needed to do was find some flash drive in a building that had been abandoned. Ghost really didn’t even need to watch soap from his vantage point.
The mission was intentionally simple. Having a task force composed almost entirely of monsters did have its downsides. Every full moon, one of those disadvantages reared its ugly head.
In general, when it came to the werewolf side of things, Soap had a pretty good grasp on staying in control and not involuntarily shifting or going berserk. The amount of control he had over both forms was honestly impressive.
Full moons were a different story. In the days leading up to them, instincts always got a bit harder to defy and shifting at will would sometimes go out the window entirely. It’s why they were here, at an abandoned building. A low-energy mission to not trigger a shift, but something that needed to be done and a good outlet for pent-up energy at the very least.
Ghost watched from his perch outside as Soap methodically searched the building, occasionally catching glimpses of him through windows. Soap didn’t need his help, he was just watching the exits, making sure no one went in or out. That didn’t stop Soap from complaining to him the entire time.
“This place gives me the creeps.”
“Is that your official assessment, sergeant?”
“Oh piss off, you’re outside in the middle of the day. I’m in this creepy shithole looking for a needle in a haystack.”
“Focus, Mactavish.”
“I am! You might be different, but I can talk while doing something.”
Ghost didn’t grace that with a response.
“Any clue why they vacated?”
“Negative,” he tried not to think about how if it had been anyone else, he would’ve chewed them out for unprofessionalism three comments ago.
“They left in a hurry, some poor sod didn’t even finish his coffee,” it was said in a joking tone but Ghost could hear the genuine unease behind it.
“Just find the flash drive and get out. Sooner you’re done, the sooner we can leave,” he replied not unkindly, he might enjoy teasing the man but that didn’t mean he didn’t trust his instincts. If Soap felt like something was wrong, he’d take his word on it.
Ghost repositioned slightly, watching the floor Soap was on, looking in the windows through the scope. He was barely able to see his sergeant, just in view of the window. He saw when Soap stopped in the middle of the room, and turned in a circle, definitely looking for something but not a flash drive.
“Soap, sitrep. What’s going on?”
“Something’s wrong,” he’d never seen his sergeant so spooked. He wanted to be angry, wanted to use his lieutenant voice to tell Soap to get a move on, but he couldn’t ignore the dread that was overwhelming him as well.
“Ghost, I don’t think we’re alone here,” well fucking Christ, did he have to say it as creepily as possible?
“Johnny—?” he wasn’t sure what he was going to say, whether to tell him to continue or to cut and run, but it didn’t matter. It took him a few moments to realize that the windows were slowly being covered by a black fog. He could see the wisps of smoke curling towards Johnny.
Soap noticed it too, “For fuck’s sake, I hate dealing with wraiths.”
Soap wasn’t too concerned, but Ghost was. He quickly abandoned his perch and booked it for the building. There wasn’t much a sniper could do against a cloud of smoke.
“I’m on my way, don’t die,” he hoped it went through but the way the radio was crackling didn’t fill him with hope.
“Aff—m—ve,” he was barely able to hear what he said, the radio now spewing a high-pitched ringing as if his tinnitus wasn’t already bad enough. He had to agree with Soap’s earlier comment, he hated dealing with wraiths.
If he didn’t already know the right floor, the unmistakable growl of a pissed wolf and loud crashes would have been a dead giveaway. He climbed through the stairwell as fast as he could. He burst through the door to the fourth floor, the open office space giving him a clear view of the confrontation.
His sergeant, obviously having shifted, in the corner, growling with his teeth bared. In front of him, a wraith stalking him, trying to find a weak point. It looked at him, deciding that between the two, Ghost would be the easier victim.
Ghost felt deep within him when the thing turned Its full attention to him. Wraiths were born of pure misery, torture, and dread, and they were intent on making everyone else suffer an even worse fate than they did. (For several, several years Ghost was convinced he was doomed to become one too, until a certain Scotsman entered his life, at least.) This one was strong, as It stared at him, he could feel all his happy memories turn necrotic.
The two of them stalked towards the other, Ghost’s boots stomping heavily on the ground and the wraith imitating him despite Its floating. It lunged, only becoming tangible when Its hands wrapped around his throat, trying to cut off his airway. As utter dread washed over him, he stabbed at the thing but it turned back to smoke before it could connect. They had entered a fatal tango, though It seemed to have forgotten that there was another involved.
With the wraith distracted, Soap pounced. The tricky thing with fighting wraiths was their ability to become intangible at will. Standard protocol for dealing with one involved lengthy planning and strategizing, wearing them out before—
Oh, good god, It was already dead.
Soap ripped the thing apart in the same way a dog would its favorite chew toy. He had the thing’s neck between his teeth and was shaking It back and forth, the wraith trying to claw at his snout. It was clinging to life until the final tendons gave way and Its body dropped with a heavy thud. Ghost couldn’t find it within himself to feel bad for the thing.
While Its body was now detached from Its neck, Soap still wasn’t done. He put one paw on the thing's head and kept going, not stopping until the wraith had been separated into three parts.
Soap grabbed the throat and happily trotted to Ghost, wanting him to put his hand out.
Uncomprehendingly, he did. Soap dropped it in his hand and barked, his tail excitedly wagging away.
He realized as it was nudged towards him that it was a gift. Soap had gifted him the throat of the creature that tried to kill him. He really couldn’t tell if that meant he was lost in his instincts or if it was Soap being Soap.
“Thanks,” he was touched either way.
The werewolf barked and spun in a circle, having too much energy for such a large thing in such a small space.
“Let’s find that flash drive and get out of here,” Ghost had to fight to keep the baby talk tone he normally used when talking to dogs out of his voice. Werewolves weren’t domesticated dogs and it was beyond rude to treat them as such, regardless of which form they were in or how far in their instincts they were. Still, Ghost couldn’t help but compare the way Soap was jumping around to that of a puppy that didn’t know its size. He was far from an expert in them but he knew Soap was rather large for a werewolf; it was a miracle he fit through the hallways.
They went on to clear the building, eventually finding what they were after a few floors above where the wraith had attacked. Ghost still didn’t know what to do with the esophagus he had been given, so he just… held on to it. What was werewolf etiquette for being gifted a body part?
He remembered the whole thing with cats bringing their owners dead animals because they thought that their owners couldn’t hunt and internally groaned. Please, please, please do not tell him he is expected to eat this?
He hadn’t wanted to set it down because if Soap was in control and had knowingly given it to him, that would just be a dick move. And really, the same applied for if he was lost in his instincts, it would still be mean to simply toss it aside. Maybe he was just overthinking this.
Can you overthink being given the throat of your enemy? It seems like it might be one of those things that you can only under-think.
His pondering was interrupted by Soap stopping and sniffing the air. He let out a rumbling growl, sniffed once more, and then began herding Ghost to the exit. He wanted to ask what was wrong but it wasn’t like the wolf would’ve been able to answer. Regardless, just like his instincts earlier, Ghost knew to trust Soap’s senses.
As they made their way to the ground floor, he could hear engines in the distance.
“Ah, shit…” Why now did they have to return to reclaim their stupid building?
He looked around the perimeter and saw an abandoned truck near the fence. Ghost got Soap’s attention and gestured to the vehicle, both running for it.
When the door didn’t open, he didn’t hesitate to smash in the window. As he hotwired the car, Soap started pacing back and forth, clearly unhappy at the fact that he wasn’t able to help in some way. When the werewolf heard the engine start, he perked up and ran towards the driver’s door, spinning in circles.
Ghost stepped to the side, wanting to let him in before he got behind the wheel. There was shouting coming from in front of them, some poor guard trying to get their attention who likely didn’t realize he was staring at the people who just stole incredibly valuable information right out from underneath their noses.
The guy, somehow not noticing the werewolf, approached, talking about how Ghost shouldn’t have access to the truck. He had the advantage, already holding his gun. They needed a distraction.
Some men stormed out of the exit of the building they had just fled through, gesturing wildly with their hands, shouting, “Something already killed the wraith!”
When eyes turned to the truck, Ghost had already gotten in and put it in drive.
If the guard hadn’t realized earlier, then it probably dawned on him as he had to jump out of the way to avoid getting run over. Some others tried to stop him, but there was a reason Ghost never got a driver’s license. He had spotted a locked chain link fence gate that looked just right for their grand escape and floored it. He laughed at their panic when they realized he wasn’t slowing down but tried not to be disappointed by the lack of sudden speed bumps. Soap had his fun earlier, why can’t Ghost have his?
They cleared the gate with ease and were speeding down old, back country roads in no time. Soap had moved to the backseat (the front being nowhere near big enough for him) and pawed at the window. Ghost, still riding the high of almost running people over, chuckled and let down the window, looking in the rearview mirror as Soap stuck his head out.
Knowing him, he was probably still mostly there and was enjoying having an excuse to be even stupider than usual. Ghost tried not to watch him, but he was happy to see his sergeant so happy. Besides, he’d seen enough shifts gone wrong to know that they were lucky he was still in such high spirits after a fear-induced shift.
He felt something by his foot and glanced down at the floorboard, seeing the throat still sitting there from where he had dropped it to hotwire the car. Huh. Seriously, what in the ever-loving fuck are you supposed to do in this situation?!
When he could safely say that no one was chasing them, he pulled over and got out, Soap following, running around to get out energy that was still pent up. He radioed Price, updating him on the situation. Luckily, there was a safe house nearby. Unluckily, it was a shithole.
It looked like the military saw a house going into foreclosure, bought it, then left it to rot. Even from the outside, he could see that the roof looked one more storm away from collapse and the windows had been boarded up with plywood. The only thing keeping the walls up was the structural support from how much vegetation covered the outside. How homely.
The front door wasn’t even big enough for Soap to fit, they had to go around and find a sliding back door that opened wider (he didn’t chuckle at the fact that the front door was too small for the behemoth of a werewolf, definitely not.) It didn’t take long to clear the house, the only hostile he found was some mold growing in the corner that could probably start another strand of the bubonic plague.
Ghost went back to the main room and picked through their MREs, preparing them while Soap sniffed every nook and cranny of the house. The novelty of such a large thing in such a small area had yet to wear off, and he still silently laughed at Soap having to squeeze through the doors. The wolf continually let out annoyed huffs and Ghost knew that if he still had human vocal chords, he would be prattling on and on about how stupid the door frames were.
Once Soap had checked the house himself, he made his way back and shoved his snout in Ghost’s way, both to see what he was doing and to be a nuisance. Ghost laughed and shoved his face away, knowing Soap was about to start a campaign to make sure the lieutenant wouldn’t be able to prepare their dinner in peace.
His left hand being designated as the ‘shove Soap away’ hand, he was able to continue setting up the heating element one-handed. At some point, Ghost stopped pulling his hand away and left it on his forehead, pushing as needed. And, because Ghost’s main talent is ruining things, it evolved into his left hand scratching Soap’s ears, apparently having forgotten the most basic rule when interacting with werewolves.
“If you wouldn’t do it to a human, don’t do it to them. You wouldn’t walk up to a stranger and start petting their head, would you?”
Ghost stopped and pulled his hand away, muttering an embarrassed apology that wouldn’t come close to making up for treating his sergeant like some random street dog. Throughout the petting, Soap’s head had dropped low, likely having feared retaliation if he protested the ministrations and just deciding to grin and bear it.
Soap growled, shoving his head towards his chest.
“I know, I shouldn’t have done that. It was just…,” just what? Instinct to dehumanize the person who just saved your life?
“Just… nothing. Never mind. It doesn’t matter. I’m sorry.”
This time Soap whined and dropped his head in Ghost’s lap, staring up at him sadly.
“I know,” this time even quieter, “I’m sorry.”
By some saving grace, the MREs were ready. He set Soap’s next to him before subtly inching away, not wanting to force the poor man to eat next to him.
Soap huffed and nudged his food closer to Ghost before plopping down practically on top of the man and digging in. Ghost was frozen for a second, staring at his sergeant, before he too relaxed and began eating. It didn’t take long for them to finish up, both inhaling their food as fast as they could. Soap doing so from the increased appetite brought on by shifting, and Ghost hoping that he wouldn’t have to taste whatever the military considered edible.
Within no time Soap was stretching and yawning while Ghost situated himself at the window.
“I’ll take watch while you sleep,” he didn’t even bother trying to lie and pretend that he would wake Soap up to take shifts. No human vocal cords meant no arguing. He got comfortable, moving the curtains to just the right angle for him to see out while keeping the view from outside obscured.
Something was tugging his sleeve. Maybe the werewolf was further in his instincts than he thought.
When he looked, as expected, he saw Soap trying to gently pull him away. Ghost chuckled again, Soap always had to be careful watching his strength when shifted. He pulled his hand back and went to ruffle Soap’s ears before aborting the motion short. He’s not making that mistake again.
“Go to sleep, I know you’re tired from shifting. I’m the one that can still operate a gun.”
Soap growled. Ghost rolled his eyes and turned back to the window, “Go to sleep, sergeant.”
Soap backed away and, for a foolish second, Ghost thought that was it, that he had won.
He tried to lean back against the window frame but his shoulder wasn’t even able to make contact with the wall before something was latching onto his wrist, pulling him towards the corner that their bedrolls had been tossed to.
“Mactavish, that is enough,” he put as much authority in his voice as he could while being yanked around by a very stubborn werewolf. Ghost tried to pull his arm away but, unlike before, Soap’s grip tightened. It wasn’t enough to hurt, at least, so long as he went with Soap it wasn’t.
Soap growled. Just like the grip, before it had been playful, but not now. Ghost went with him, mostly out of shock. It was the first time the wolf’s ire had been directed towards him.
As he was shoved towards the makeshift bed, he gave in, “Alright, alright, I fucking get it.”
He laid down but didn’t remove any of his gear, as soon as Soap was asleep, he would be taking point at the window.
To his great frustration, Soap already seemed to know his plan and was biting at his tac vest. If Soap was far in his instincts, how would he know why Ghost kept his gear on? Was Soap, of sound body and mind, actually throwing a tantrum over who took watch?
“For Fuck’s sake, sergeant. Pull yourself together,” even as he said it he gave in to the repeated nips and growls and removed most of his gear, save for a gun holster and a few knives.
Soap seemed pleased and pushed his head into Ghost's chest to make him lie down again. He sighed and stared up at the ceiling, knowing he wasn’t exhausted enough for sleep’s mercy to grace him. It was bad enough on base, but on missions, his inability to sleep was somehow worse.
His misery was interrupted by something walking in front of him.
“What the hell was the point of making me lie down if you’re not going to watch either?”
Soap didn’t answer, just turned in circles getting ready to lie down. Until he saw Ghost moving to get up. Then he switched gears and dropped himself on top of him so he couldn’t get up and paid no mind to his gasping.
“Johnny, you-,” he shoved at the wolf and let out a wheezy breath, “you heavy bastard, move.”
Soap did no such thing and stared down at him from a sharp angle, noses less than two inches apart. As Ghost got used to the weight, he was able to breathe fully, finding most of Soap’s weight was dispersed enough that he wouldn’t be dying of crush syndrome anytime soon.
He also knew he wasn’t getting out of this anytime soon.
Ghost sighed to the best of his ability and reached for his radio.
Soap, as expected, growled.
“I’m just grabbing my radio to tell Price we aren’t dead. Is that alright with you?” the sarcasm in his tone was heavy but Soap just huffed and dropped his head back on (and completely covering) Ghost’s chest.
Price is a traitor and he revokes any positive comment he has ever made in regards to the captain. When Ghost informed him of his predicament and the fact that Soap had trapped his superior officer, the cruel bastard just laughed.
Price told him that Soap would hear someone before Ghost could see them with a scope and that he should enjoy the break and sleep. When he complained more, Price had the audacity to wrinkle paper and tell him the signal was dropping. Bastard.
He dropped his radio on the floor and readjusted himself. Chances were, he’d still be able to shrug off Soap once he fell asleep, it would just be a bit more difficult. Johnny was leaning into him and somehow managed to snuggle closer.
/\/\/\/\/\
Simon awoke with phantom images of blood on the carpet and the echoing of screams ringing in his ears.
He was still lying there, trapped underneath his sergeant who he seemed to have woken up with his sudden panic. Thankfully, the wolf moved and let him sit up, still trying to parse through his memories (real, fabricated, and embellished) and unable to get his breathing under control.
Something was tugging his sleeve.
He couldn’t see much beyond his blood-stained hands but recognized the sensation of fur under his fingers as he grieved once again. How many fucking times would he have to go through this? He pushed himself so his back was to the wall and closed his eyes.
It wasn’t real. It wasn’t real. It wasn’t real.
And yet they're still dead, aren’t they?
There was a weight in his lap. It was something heavy. He felt it and felt the same fur from before. He clenched his eyes tighter and tried desperately to breathe. In for 4, hold for 7, out for 8.
He lifted his hand, feeling like he had to rip out his hair, but Johnny noticed and rooted around, getting his nose under Ghost’s hand. Ghost moved his hand away but Soap just shoved his head back under it. Simon began very hesitantly scratching his ears. In for 6, hold for 9, out for 10.
He allowed himself to relax, if only slightly, and even brought his other hand up to scratch his other ear. Simon buried his head in the fur in front of him. In for 8, hold for 11, out for 12.
Simon cried. He hated doing it, especially in front of others, but he could hear Johnny admonishing him, telling him that crying was healthy, that it was just as necessary as laughter. He always hated the weakness and vulnerability it brought, hated the idea of people knowing he was upset, but Johnny was always the exception, wasn’t he?
After an embarrassing amount of time, he leaned back and wiped his eyes. He saw Johnny’s head resting in his lap, stupidly blue eyes watching him with care. The rest of the room eventually made its way in, light trickling in through cracks in the roof and an early morning chill settling around them. Later, it would likely be so hot that the ice of hypothermia felt desirable, but as for now, Simon shivered.
Johnny wormed closer and curled around him. Unlike last night when it was meant to make sure he would stay down, this time it was to make sure as much of him was covered as possible. Simon felt bad for forcing Johnny into the role of service dog and weighted blanket, but Johnny’s not-quite-snores were rather helpful in assuring him that the wolf enjoyed their current position as much as he did.
Simon continued scratching his ears and muttered a quiet, “Thank you.”
Johnny huffed happily and nuzzled closer.
Bodies have been discovered. Fresh bodies. Of course going through what she went through with Jungkook, she feared that this was his doing. That the so called hobby has now reached the news channels. Though it says that the crimes has been in only England, it was still capability of it being Jungkook.
“Yn! Are you even listening? Im telling you Namjoon wants to take you on a date!” Joy, yns now close friend that she has gained from opening the coffee shops.
But what was showed, made yns blood run cold.
What was at the crime scene was dandelions.
The flowers that Jungkook always used to gift her on days he felt like we did something wrong. He would cut the steam off and just leave the flowers to never be able to grow again.
Was he…back?
It was closing time and of course yn being the owner, she decided that it was her duty to close every single night.
But tonight, she couldnt shake the feeling that she was being watched.
As everyone was leaving she saw a guy with a big hoodie on taking his time to clean up his mess on the table. Putting his crumbs inside a napkin then taking the napkin and closing it tightly then throwing it out.
yn watched from behind the counter taking containers from the counter and putting them on the shelf behind her.
This mysterious guy has been coming in everyday. Same time. She never serves him but she knows Joy does and she hates serving him. ‘His glare, it can kill.’ She would say when describing the eyes of this mysterious man.
While cleaning she saw the guy get up and come up to the counter.
Face mask on and glasses… sun glasses.
Its night time.
Maybe it was a fashion statement. Thats what yn left it as. “ Hi sorry we are about to close soon so im gonna have to ask you to leave..” is what she was aiming to say but once she turned around she saw he just left a napkin with hand writing on it.
She grabbed it and began to read it:
“Hi baby! Oh its been such a long time, oh how i miss you. Our child also misses you. 2 years right? That is let you go? Ah, I remember something. Today is our anniversary! Our now 7 year anniversary. Im picking you up at 11! Be ready!
JJK,”
Yn was at this point shaking. Fear took over her body but was trying to hide it. She wasnt doing such a good job at that. As much as she wanted to call the cops, get him arrested, she knew that those cops had no chance in trying to get Jungkook.
Hed kill them all in the blink of an if he even knew that they talked to yn.
When yn got home she didnt let the fact go that when she got there she obviously saw Jungkooks car right outside her town house.
Mind you this is the 5th time this year she has moved. None of the reasons dealing with Kook but they definitely where personal reasons.
She braced herself, once she goes inside her home, Jungkook will be inside.
She could call the cops and run away from home then go to Jins house.
Actually now that Yn thought about it, what if Jin had something to do with it? He was always to calm for her liking honestly. Why was he always just so calm with him? I mean he explained it yes, hes seen it for so many years but why didnt he at least call the cops? Then again was the cops really gonna help him?
Entering the home, it felt like deja vu. Coming home on anniversary and Jungkook was cooking their favorite shared dish.
Spaghetti! Yn liked it because it was delicious and Jungkook probably like it because it reminded him of blood.
“My love! You are right on time! The Spaghetti is hot and ready to be platted. Get comfortable and come eat”
He didn’t need to turn around for yn to know that it was actually him. He colored his tattoos, became more swoll and also cut his long hair.
Yn didnt change anything or didnt get comfortable since this was all just too much for her.
‘Keep calm and go with his plan, yn.’ Thats all she kept telling herself.
Though what was his plan? Drug her? Kill her?
Well, none of those. He wanted her back. If that meant living in this house with her, then so be it. Jin had Bam so, they’d have plenty of time together.
Finally he sat down with two plates of spaghetti and there he was in all his glory.
He had the cockiest smirk while toying with his now new lip ring before sitting down across from yn.
“ Fucking finally, i have you again.”
